00:00:00.000 Netflix partnering with Barstool, removing Pardon My Take video from YouTube.
00:00:07.600 This is an athletic story.
00:00:09.820 So Netflix and Barstool Sports announced a multi-year partnership Wednesday
00:00:13.160 that will bring the video versions of Pardon My Take
00:00:16.420 and two other Barstool podcasts to the streaming platform beginning in early 2026.
00:00:20.920 New episodes of Pardon My Take and a Ryan Rosillo show
00:00:24.640 and a hockey podcast, Spitting Chicklets, will only be available on Netflix.
00:00:30.400 Podcast listeners will still be able to get access to the audio episodes on other platforms.
00:00:35.500 This partnership broadens how our members connect with Barstool's leading sports voices
00:00:40.000 and delivery exactly what our members crave.
00:00:42.460 Unfiltered commentary, sharp takes, and undeniable humor,
00:00:45.620 said Lawrence Smith, Netflix's vice president of content licensing and programming strategy.
00:00:49.920 Netflix announced a similar content sharing agreement with Spotify in October,
00:00:53.540 starting early next year, next new episode, new video episodes of Bill Simmons' podcast
00:00:59.240 and several other podcasts produced by The Ringer, which Spotify owns,
00:01:02.480 will be available on the Netflix episode as well.
00:01:04.860 Tom, why is it such a big deal?
00:01:06.360 It's a big deal because the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox of baseball haven't changed.
00:01:13.480 But guess what?
00:01:14.620 It's changing in media.
00:01:16.680 And there are new Yankees and new Dodgers and new Red Sox and Netflixes.
00:01:20.620 Once upon a time, they were talked about very dismissively.
00:01:25.380 Somebody called them as rebels.
00:01:27.980 Oh, that's just a little group of rebels at the border, as if they were just there.
00:01:31.880 I'm the country.
00:01:33.000 We're the kings.
00:01:33.880 We're the territory.
00:01:34.720 We're the big armies.
00:01:35.820 And Netflix, just a bunch of rebels.
00:01:37.440 Now those rebels have a valuation that dwarfs some of those old kingdoms.
00:01:41.540 And Netflix is a kingdom.
00:01:43.220 And Netflix is going out signing free agents.
00:01:45.600 They're in deep, and they're trying to win the Warner Discovery battle.
00:01:51.180 And also, there's a lot going on in the podcast.
00:01:54.380 You've got the Red Ventures group that's aligned with Fox that's been out there buying people.
00:02:00.620 Now they've come out and made their draft picks, and they're signing free agents.
00:02:04.240 And they've signed to a video podcast deal.
00:02:08.120 All those, the ones you just mentioned from Pardon My Take and The Ringer.
00:02:13.400 And then across town, they also went across town and went and spoke to the Breakfast Club and Bobby Bones because they made a deal with iHeartMedia to bring some of the iHeartMedia audio podcasts over to the video world.
00:02:28.920 And they're signing that.
00:02:29.760 So Netflix is signing free agents and trying to establish the video podcast beachhead because the new wars are there.
00:02:39.900 And the new Yankees is paramount with the Ellison money.
00:02:43.540 The new Dodgers is Netflix and what they've grown up to be.
00:02:47.640 And, you know, that's what – and the new Red Sox, you could argue they're another Yankees, is YouTube TV.
00:02:53.300 And YouTube's got the money, but YouTube hasn't gone out and, like, paid a bunch of exclusives for people.
00:02:58.100 They've built the platform that's built everybody there.
00:03:01.060 But as podcasts are increasingly – I was reading that podcasts are now 71% viewed video is what's going on.
00:03:11.400 71% podcast viewing is video.
00:03:14.240 So it's not just, oh, just get the TuneIn app or get the iHeart app or get your podcast app.
00:03:18.620 You want to see people.
00:03:19.320 The people are seeing it.
00:03:20.460 And so podcasts are increasingly video.
00:03:22.760 And Netflix is signing free agents and staking their claim to the future.
00:03:26.580 Who's the new Oklahoma City Thunder?
00:03:28.580 That's the number one team in the league in the NBA.
00:03:31.460 I don't know.
00:03:32.520 Is this Barstool talking about it?
00:03:34.020 This is Dave Portnoy.
00:03:35.220 Go for it.
00:03:37.080 Emergency press conference time.
00:03:39.060 If you haven't heard the news, I'm proud to announce that Barstool is partnered with Netflix for three of our top podcasts.
00:03:46.240 Exclusive video only on Netflix starting next year.
00:03:50.120 I'm talking you want to watch a video, part of my take, Netflix.
00:03:53.540 You want to watch a video of spit and chiclets?
00:03:55.940 Netflix.
00:03:56.500 I actually spit there.
00:03:57.720 That's just my brain.
00:03:58.820 You want to watch a video of Ryan Rosselló's show?
00:04:01.480 Netflix, Netflix, Netflix.
00:04:03.500 Exclusive video.
00:04:04.920 Audio stay the same.
00:04:06.380 Video where?
00:04:07.540 Netflix, Netflix, Netflix.
00:04:09.380 We're proud to partner in one of the best in breed companies.
00:04:11.820 That's what we do at Barstool.
00:04:13.360 Evolve, rotate, evolve.
00:04:15.520 Video next year.
00:04:17.600 PMT, chiclets, Ryan Rosselló.
00:04:20.540 Netflix, Netflix, Netflix.
00:04:22.120 Netflix, yeah.
00:04:24.020 So do they only have three podcasts on the market?
00:04:27.120 No, three of them.
00:04:28.120 Only three of them are moving to Netflix.
00:04:30.120 Got you.
00:04:30.460 Okay, okay.
00:04:31.060 I think three of them are moving to Netflix.
00:04:32.720 By the way, shout out to Dave Portnoy.
00:04:35.140 I mean, not only has he built a brand, he's the main face of the brand.
00:04:39.620 He's running the operation.
00:04:41.660 I mean, PBD, there's not many guys like you and him out there that start an organization,
00:04:46.880 that are the face of the brand.
00:04:48.720 He's a talent.
00:04:49.460 That bring, you know, the talent.
00:04:50.980 It's super talented.
00:04:51.720 You know, he's a super talented guy.
00:04:52.960 Oh, my God.
00:04:53.180 Super capable guy.
00:04:54.240 He also got acquired.
00:04:55.700 Didn't like it.
00:04:56.660 Yeah.
00:04:56.780 And got unacquired back on his turn.
00:04:58.700 Exactly.
00:04:59.520 What do you think the deal is?
00:05:01.960 How much do you think the deal is with Netflix?
00:05:04.120 Okay, I think it's a test deal for those three, but I think it's probably a three-year test deal,
00:05:09.000 and I think it's probably definitely nine figures that Netflix is putting out there
00:05:12.960 because Netflix wants to get the beachhead.
00:05:14.840 And remember what Sirius did to get a beachhead?
00:05:19.900 They went after Howard Stern, and they arguably overpaid for Howard Stern.
00:05:24.700 That thing didn't pay off, supposedly, that I read for 10 years,
00:05:27.580 but they went out and paid Howard a lot of money because they needed anchors.
00:05:30.880 And I think Netflix is going out, and it would not surprise me to see that this was a nine-figure deal
00:05:36.700 over the three years to get this because it's what Netflix wants to do with The Magnet,
00:05:42.220 and now they've also gone out, and they've got Breakfast Club and a couple others
00:05:45.720 as viewership of podcasts is now 70 percent, the number that I read, video, video,
00:05:54.240 and so it's not the TuneIn app anymore.
00:05:56.420 Or it's who are you going to be on?
00:05:58.800 Are you going to be on Rumble?
00:06:00.120 Are you going to be on Netflix?
00:06:01.500 Are you going to be on YouTube?
00:06:02.900 And everybody's using the E-word, exclusive.
00:06:05.540 And those people, Tommy, if they don't have Netflix now, they have to subscribe.
00:06:09.120 You feel me?
00:06:09.920 Now all those people have to pay.
00:06:11.420 How much is it a month?
00:06:11.940 If you wanted Howard Stern, you had to go get Sirius XM.
00:06:14.920 And by the way, Rob ran the poll.
00:06:17.980 Would you like to see PBD and the team move the podcast to Netflix?
00:06:22.260 No, stay on YouTube, Spotify.
00:06:24.000 Yes, move to Netflix.
00:06:25.660 93 percent.
00:06:27.520 Don't move, stay.
00:06:28.640 What we're proud to announce.
00:06:32.800 Guys.
00:06:33.380 You imagine.
00:06:34.300 Vinny's got a special announcement that I want Vinny to share with you guys.
00:06:37.920 Go ahead, Vinny.
00:06:38.800 So, guys, as you guys know, the Faith Over Fear line, we had the Faith Over Fear shirt.
00:06:43.300 We just came out.
00:06:44.140 This just came out.
00:06:44.940 It's live right now.
00:06:46.040 Pat Ward is just the Faith Over Fear hat.
00:06:48.140 I'm trying to figure out.
00:06:49.040 We have the symbol here.
00:06:50.160 We have the cross here.
00:06:51.080 Hebrews 11, one on the back. 0.68
00:06:53.700 Rob, can you click on the hat and show the pictures?
00:06:55.500 Yeah, let everybody see this.
00:06:56.560 Guys, it's embroidered.
00:06:57.460 By the way, I only wear Yankee hats.
00:07:00.160 Oh, yeah.
00:07:00.400 So I only wear Yankee hats.
00:07:01.780 But, guys, you can see the future looks bright on the bottom.
00:07:04.200 This is stitched.
00:07:05.300 Hebrews 11, 11, 11, 1, that.
00:07:07.800 And then the cross on the side.
00:07:09.140 Like I said, I only wear Yankee hats.
00:07:10.520 It's 3D embroidery. 0.95
00:07:11.680 No, no, it's ridiculous.
00:07:12.600 And I just want, like, this is, like, every time something like this happens, like, the hats finally come in, we're at a pivotal place where, right now, with everything that's happening with Christians in Nigeria, as you're seeing what's happening in Europe, you're seeing what's happening in Australia, the enemy wants us to be afraid.
00:07:27.980 I don't know if you guys saw this.
00:07:29.100 Australia, France, Germany, they just canceled all their Christmas celebrations, all their freaking New Year stuff because they're afraid.
00:07:36.160 I'm telling you guys right now, I've said this before.
00:07:38.120 In the Bible, 365 times, it says, do not fear, okay?
00:07:44.120 Just have faith.
00:07:45.160 And when it comes to having faith in Christ, there's one story that I want to say, and you know this.
00:07:49.820 In Matthew chapter 20, I think, verse 9, or 9, verse 20 to 22, Jesus is walking through Galilee.
00:07:57.760 And everybody, he's healing people.
00:07:59.260 People are touching him and grabbing him.
00:08:00.840 And he's just trying to get through the crowd.
00:08:02.000 And there was a woman that had an issue of bleeding for 12 years.
00:08:05.140 They believe it was like a menstrual situation.
00:08:07.860 She says to herself, and this is in Scripture, all I have to do is touch the hem of his robe, and I'll be healed, okay?
00:08:15.560 So she crawls through this crowd, and she just reaches and touches a string that's hanging off Jesus' robe.
00:08:21.640 And he stops in the crowd, and he goes, who touched me, all right?
00:08:25.440 And Peter and everybody's like, Jesus, everybody's touching.
00:08:28.620 He goes, no, no, no, who touched me?
00:08:31.400 He said he felt the power leave his body.
00:08:34.280 And he looks, and the woman is on the floor instantly healed, and she's crying, Pat.
00:08:38.680 And she stands up, and she goes, Jesus, you healed me.
00:08:41.460 And he looks at her and goes, I didn't heal you.
00:08:43.260 It was your faith that healed you.
00:08:45.360 Think about that.
00:08:46.560 Think about that.
00:08:47.200 It's powerful.
00:08:47.520 Just touching his clothes, and she was healed.
00:08:50.560 And that's belief.
00:08:51.280 And I want to say one last thing.
00:08:52.780 When Jesus was in Nazareth, he was powerless.
00:08:55.740 He couldn't do any miracles.
00:08:57.100 And you know why?
00:08:58.180 He said because it was their disbelief, because they didn't believe.
00:09:02.000 So your faith is what creates the miracles in your life.
00:09:05.420 And I think this hat is that message, and this is letting everybody know.
00:09:08.300 I'm not afraid.
00:09:09.740 We're not afraid.
00:09:10.580 I'm a Christian.
00:09:11.280 I wear it proud, and I want people to know that.
00:09:13.280 And, yeah, that's it.
00:09:14.580 And it's live right now.
00:09:15.560 I love it.
00:09:16.080 And, you know, you can go to vteemerge.com, place the order, get the hat, get the shirt, get the shoe.
00:09:20.620 All of those we'll put over there for you.
00:09:22.240 Yesterday I had these pastors that flew in from Australia, and he said the most powerful line.
00:09:25.380 Two pastors, the guy's from Egypt.
00:09:28.080 His name is Martin Sidro and his wife Millicent.
00:09:31.880 And he says, when I was a kid, and my dad and I were talking about becoming a pastor one day, he says, my father told us one thing.
00:09:38.340 If you want to be a pastor, you can't fear.
00:09:41.300 If you fear, don't be a pastor.
00:09:43.960 One doesn't go without the other.
00:09:45.120 You have to be very strong about your faith that you have.
00:09:47.700 So for those of you that are comfortable this Christmas season, New Year's season, going into 2026 with faith, put that on.
00:09:55.000 Walk around.
00:09:55.500 You'd be amazed how many people stop by and say, hey, man, I'm with you.
00:09:58.480 Hey, man, I'm with you.
00:09:59.360 I love the stories of just winks with people that are, you know, fans of the show or, you know, they're looking at each other like, man, you're also a future looks bright.
00:10:08.540 You're also faith over fear.
00:10:09.500 You're also valutainment.
00:10:10.600 Me, too.
00:10:11.600 I'm one as well.
00:10:12.520 So go place the order or two or three and gift it to some of the people in your community.
00:10:17.760 If you enjoyed this video, you want to watch more videos like this, click here.
