00:00:00.080 So on June 23rd, many of us probably got alerted on our phones that John McAfee, the man I'm
00:00:04.000 sitting with right here at his place in 2018, in Tennessee, had committed suicide. Allegedly
00:00:09.280 committed suicide. This is the 2016 Libertarian presidential candidate. This is the wanted
00:00:14.200 fugitive. This is the founder of McAfee antivirus that he sold for $100 million. His network
00:00:19.120 was $100 million. Years later, it was sold for $7.7 billion. Playboy, crazy videos, flamboyant,
00:00:27.040 strange documentary about him, committed suicide. One side said there's no way in the world
00:00:31.580 this guy committed suicide because he talked about it on Twitter. The other side said he
00:00:34.860 absolutely committed suicide because he owed so much money to tax evasion, so many different
00:00:40.060 challenges he was facing, there's no way in the world he was going to face it. Now, I
00:00:43.140 want to give you my perspective. Many of you sent me tweets. The interview I did with them
00:00:46.880 three years ago, this one right here, has picked up in the last week for obvious reasons. I'm
00:00:51.040 going to give you my experience with how I was sitting down with John McAfee. So this interview
00:00:56.040 is at his house. I'm in Tennessee. I'm meeting with the economist Arthur Laffer. While I'm
00:01:03.040 there, Mario gets a phone call from his team saying, if you want to sit down with John McAfee,
00:01:09.520 this is the address. You need to be here in two hours. We get the address. It says 125 miles
00:01:14.960 away. We get in the car. We head over to his place. When we get to his place, I sit in the
00:01:21.040 car. Mario and our shooter at the time, Luis, get out of the car. They go inside. They're
00:01:25.380 being frisked the entire time. I mean, pretty intense, highly skeptical, paranoid environment.
00:01:32.040 AK-47s everywhere. Semi-automatic weapons everywhere. Led by former Marines, former Navy SEALs, former
00:01:40.040 Rangers, who are there. Mario calls me while they're setting up. These guys are watching who
00:01:44.040 they are. Mario says, Pat, please come inside. It's a very uncomfortable place. No problem.
00:01:49.040 I get out of the car. I hang up with Tom. I was on the phone with Tom. I get inside and
00:01:54.040 they start saying, who are you? I said, I'm Patrick Bay David. Are you with the FBI? I'm
00:01:59.040 not. Are you with any organizations out there? I am not. How can we believe you? I said, tell
00:02:04.040 them about your background. We're not going to tell you about your background. I said, listen,
00:02:07.040 I used to be in the military. Were you really? What was your MOS? I was a 63 Bravo. Where
00:02:12.040 were you stationed at? I went boot camp at South Carolina, Fort Jackson. I went AIT at
00:02:16.040 Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I was at the 101st Airborne Division down the street from
00:02:20.040 me, two hours away from me, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I went to this club. What clubs did
00:02:24.040 you go to in Nashville, Tennessee? Silverados, you know, all these things I told them. Mixed
00:02:28.040 Factory. Okay, man, it's okay. Come on in. Do you want to have a drink with us? Hey, what's
00:02:32.040 up? I'm like, do I want to have a drink? Yeah, come on in. They're carrying the AK-47. By the
00:02:36.040 way, if you want, there's five prostitutes upstairs. If you want to go before you start
00:02:41.040 the meeting, you want to have a good time, you can go upstairs and come down and do your
00:02:44.040 interview. I said, listen, I appreciate the offer. Thank you for your hospitality. Maybe
00:02:47.040 ask the guys out there, but I'm totally fine. No problem. If you still want, you can go
00:02:51.040 upstairs. I'm like, I'm going to be okay. I'll be fine. Anyways, we do the interview. He
00:02:56.040 comes in. John's coming in. When he comes in, you hear the sound. Garage is coming up.
00:03:00.040 Like something very, very loud. He comes in. We sit down, we do the interview. If you
00:03:05.040 watch this here, this is John. Next to me, he was having a drink. He was smoking cigarettes
00:03:09.040 while we're doing the interview. That's a gun right there. And here's what happens.
00:03:14.040 43 minutes into the interview, someone knocks on the door. This has never happened in my
00:03:17.040 life when I interview people. Watch what happens right here. This is pretty random.
00:03:21.040 50 different options. Even direct flights from Hong Kong to Ecuador. Why the heck
00:03:26.040 somebody knocks on the door through Russia. The guy comes out, takes out the gun. So,
00:03:33.040 so I, you know, it's hard for me to say, is it good? Is it bad? I don't have all the facts
00:03:42.040 and neither do you. And neither goes back. So now, I'm listening to him talk while I'm
00:03:47.040 looking, seeing what's going to be happening to my right, seeing another guy run up. All
00:03:52.040 these sounds you're hearing behind you. Obviously, this was a very highly skeptical,
00:03:58.040 paranoid, semi-schizo, which he even himself said, some people say I'm extremely paranoid.
00:04:03.040 I am extremely paranoid. He said in many different interviews. And then when we left, very nice,
00:04:09.040 very amicable. We took off. We did our thing. The interview went live. And now, it's got
00:04:14.040 many views and a lot of people are commenting on it.
00:04:16.040 Look, before I get into John's tweets, which a couple of them are quite controversial, let
00:04:19.040 me kind of give you an idea how he got here. Number one, he's in Belize, living in Belize
00:04:22.040 at one point. And he has a dog that's barking really loud. The neighbor gets upset and says,
00:04:26.040 listen, you've got to kind of tell your dog to be quiet. John's like, he can do whatever
00:04:29.040 he wants to do. The neighbor gets upset, takes a piece of beef, throws it over, poisons
00:04:34.040 the beef. The dog eats it, dies. John comes home, sees the dog, loses his mind, hires
00:04:39.040 somebody, comes and kills the neighbor. The neighbor's found in a pool full of blood.
00:04:43.040 John escapes. Not much happens there. Tax evasion issues that he has. Tennessee owed
00:04:49.040 $4 million of taxes they say he avoided because he said in 2018 or 2019, I haven't paid taxes
00:04:54.040 for eight years because of ideological differences with the IRS. I shouldn't have to pay taxes.
00:04:59.040 And then he had a crypto pump and dump issue that took place. Anyways, it's a very interesting
00:05:04.040 character we're talking about here. This is not a normal human being in the normal life that
00:05:08.040 he lived. This is a story from the son, just kind of showing you who he was. This is himself
00:05:12.040 with the guns. He liked guns. He liked prostitutes. He likes drugs. He liked partying hardcore.
00:05:17.040 This is a video he did, which is a very, very strange video on YouTube. It's got like 10
00:05:21.040 million views nearly. Anyways, he liked women. He partied hardcore. If this guy was 35 years
00:05:26.040 old today, he'd be one of those guys with 20, 30 million followers. You can pretty much see
00:05:30.040 what's going on here. This is him talking about the fact that the government tried to poison him
00:05:34.040 and kill him. I'm more difficult to kill than anyone else can even possibly imagine. Anyways,
00:05:39.040 all of this stuff leads to his tweets. This is one of his tweets that just came out that
00:05:42.040 people are talking about there's no way he would have killed himself. Getting subtle messages.
00:05:47.040 This tweet is from November 30, 2019. Getting subtle messages from the US official saying,
00:05:51.040 in effect, we're coming for you, Mike McAfee. We're going to kill yourself, meaning we're going
00:05:55.040 to kill you, but it's going to... you killing yourself? It's not suicide, but we're going to kill you.
00:05:59.040 We're going to kill you. I got a tattoo today just in case. If I suicide myself, I didn't.
00:06:04.040 I was whacked. Check my right arm. Whacked.
00:06:07.040 Here's another tweet, because in October of last year, 2020, while he's in Barcelona,
00:06:12.040 on his way to Istanbul, he gets arrested in Spain. They take him to jail. Right afterwards,
00:06:17.040 he sends this ass, and I'm content in here, jail. I have friends. The food is good. All is well.
00:06:21.040 Now that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine.
00:06:27.040 Okay? Then he has this tweet that comes out and resurfaces from June 9, 2019.
00:06:32.040 I've collected files on corruption in government. For the first time, I'm naming names and specifics.
00:06:37.040 I'll begin with a corrupt CIA agent and two Bahamian officials coming today if I'm arrested or disappear.
00:06:43.040 31 terabytes of incriminating data will be released to the press.
00:06:46.040 Now, when you look at this, you have two sides to look at. Let's say he is right. He has those 31 terabytes.
00:06:52.040 A lot of data on government officials. That could be pretty ugly, especially with campaign, election,
00:06:56.040 all of that stuff that you've got going on. Nobody wants that to be seen.
00:06:59.040 But the other part of it is also he's bluffing. What is bluff? There's an old fable about a psychic
00:07:05.040 who hooks up with a king's daughter. The king loses his mind, sends all the soldiers to go kill the psychic.
00:07:12.040 When the soldiers go to the psychic and they say, we're here to kill you, the psychic says,
00:07:17.040 before you kill me, I had a vision last night that has to do with the king and it has to do with his life.
00:07:22.040 I have to tell him this or else he's going to die. They're like, what are you talking about?
00:07:26.040 The soldier's talking and they say, let's at least tell the king and see what the king wants to do.
00:07:29.040 They tell the king, the king's like, I want to meet this guy. The psychic comes to the king.
00:07:32.040 He says, king, I have to tell you, I apologize for getting together with your daughter.
00:07:36.040 She's beautiful. However, the vision I had yesterday is that you, king, are going to die a day after I die.
00:07:46.040 Which means what? If you kill me, you're dying tomorrow.
00:07:49.040 So the king's like, you know, back in the days, it was all like, psychics know what they were talking about.
00:07:52.040 And people were very superstitious. The king's like, listen, we better take care of this man.
00:07:56.040 He brings a psychic in. He lives in the palace. Obviously, it's a fable, but you get the idea.
00:08:00.040 Is John playing that game? Hey, leave me alone. Don't bother me. Don't touch me with my taxes because I have stuff on you because I'm such a good hacker.
00:08:09.040 Is he doing that? No one will know what card he's playing here. He may or may not have it.
00:08:14.040 But this led to a story after John passed away, allegedly suicide. And this is what the story went viral.
00:08:21.040 There's a tweet that they're showing and claiming that he tweeted out, says, if anything ever happens to me, please know that the 31 terabytes of files I have are located on hard drives in my condo near 88th Street and Collins Avenue, just north of Miami Beach, which is the building that just came down.
00:08:41.040 And there's nine people dead and 150-something people missing. The conspiracy theorists ran with this, saying, oh, my gosh, it's government's job. It came down. They got the files.
00:08:53.040 Now, nobody can get their hands on the 31 terabytes. This was so viral with people being curious about it that AP did a story saying that never happened.
00:09:02.040 He never owned the condo. And there's no tweet as such of him sending it out on June 8th.
00:09:08.040 So I go and take a look at his Twitter account. And if you go look at his Twitter account, you go to June 8th, there is no such thing as these tweets.
00:09:14.040 The only things you'll find on June 8th is one he's talking about a million followers and no one's really bothering to look at it.
00:09:19.040 And another one about Bezos. There's nothing else on June 8th.
00:09:22.040 Now, the conspiracy folks will say, well, Twitter can't delete it. I highly doubt they did that.
00:09:26.040 So AP depunks that and they don't touch it. It goes to a completely different place.
00:09:30.040 Anyway, this goes to a bunch of different places. You know, all these other things.
00:09:33.040 And then Janice McAfee, his wife, sends out a tweet talking about on Father's Day, June 20th, the fact that they don't want to do anything with this guy.
00:09:41.040 The government is so corrupt. The U.S. authorities are determined to have John die in prison to make an example of him for speaking out against the corruption within the government agencies.
00:09:49.040 The media continues to vilify him per their narrative and there's no hope for him ever having a fair trial in America because there's no longer any justice in America.
00:09:56.040 You either play ball or get effed. Those are literally the only options.
00:10:01.040 Now, before you were innocent until proven guilty, now somehow it's changed to guilty until proven innocent.
00:10:06.040 Interesting point. Now anyone can level the most hideous accusations against you without any proof and having no basis in reality.
00:10:15.040 But in the court of public opinion, you are tried, convicted, found guilty and your life irreparably destroyed all before having your day in court.
00:10:27.040 Anyway, so she goes and talks about this and there's a bunch of other things that she talks about in the video.
00:10:30.040 He would never commit suicide. He would never do this. He would never do that.
00:10:32.040 A lot of this comes to me where people are like, well, did he commit suicide? He would never commit suicide.
00:10:37.040 Chris Hitchens, who was a famous atheist, everybody, the many Christian pastors would say that rumor has it that on his deathbed, he accepted Jesus Christ as a savior, right?
00:10:46.040 And he's going to go to heaven because even an atheist eventually accepted it.
00:10:50.040 And it was a very good story to use. It was viral because people were using that as a way to baptize folks, right?
00:10:55.040 I heard a lot of different churches, but his son who was there apparently on his deathbed said, my dad and I never talked about religion and that never happened.
00:11:02.040 And Chris Hitchens even said, way before he passed away, if you ever hear a story that I accepted Christ as my savior or my deathbed because I was so scared about what's going to happen after life, do not believe it.
00:11:12.040 I will never do that.
00:11:13.040 Semi-similar to what McAfee says, if I ever commit suicide, that never happened.
00:11:17.040 Anyways, we can go to a lot of different things to talk about what happened here.
00:11:20.040 These are my thoughts about John McAfee.
00:11:22.040 This is what I think about with John McAfee and my experiences of being around John McAfee.
00:11:28.040 Number one, extremely paranoid, extremely skeptical.
00:11:32.040 Even the interview, if you've not watched the interview of him and I, some of the stuff he says, I mean, you're just going to sit there and say, what's he talking?
00:11:39.040 It's very deep and he doesn't hold back about going after the government.
00:11:43.040 Look, last week I did an interview with a mayor you may know.
00:11:49.040 Mayor Giuliani was an attorney that you may know.
00:11:52.040 Rudy Giuliani, who in 2015 won the G-Man Award by FBI as one of the best men for America.
00:12:00.040 FBI awarded him the G-Man Award in 2015.
00:12:03.040 We're talking six years ago.
00:12:04.040 And the interview is about three and a half hours.
00:12:06.040 It was done in his place.
00:12:08.040 And he said some stuff that I still don't know if I'm going to go live with or not.
00:12:13.040 You know, I had a group of people that I had a call with yesterday, and they know about what was in the content of the interview, telling me, Pat, don't go live with it today.
00:12:21.040 Because this is just not a good time to go against the government.
00:12:26.040 Look what's going on right now with censorship.
00:12:28.040 I'm like, but it's not me doing it.
00:12:29.040 It's someone else doing it.
00:12:30.040 I'm simply showing what their thoughts are and I'm pushing back on what the individual had to say.
00:12:34.040 Just don't do it, Pat.
00:12:35.040 It's not a good idea because today it's censorship.
00:12:37.040 They can do this.
00:12:38.040 They can take you down.
00:12:39.040 Just last week we had one of the videos we did about one professional athlete that had certain things to say about a health restriction.
00:12:45.040 And we posted it on our Vitamin Short Clip channel.
00:12:48.040 We got a strike for one week.
00:12:49.040 The channel was suspended of uploading any new videos.
00:12:52.040 So there is an element of people being concerned about not really sharing everything today because social media companies out there can really push back.
00:13:02.040 Right?
00:13:03.040 So, I don't know.
00:13:04.040 Did McAfee have things to say that was really pushing back a little bit too much against the government?
00:13:08.040 Was he poking the bear too much?
00:13:10.040 Could that possibly take place?
00:13:12.040 There are some times where I grew up as an individual where I believed everything.
00:13:18.040 I started off with mainstream media, what they had to say and I would watch them.
00:13:21.040 I'm like, you know what?
00:13:22.040 NBC is right.
00:13:23.040 CNN is right.
00:13:25.040 MSNBC is right.
00:13:26.040 These guys know what they're talking about.
00:13:28.040 New York Times is right.
00:13:29.040 And all these conspiracy theorists, they have no clue what they're talking about.
00:13:32.040 Wasting time.
00:13:33.040 They're just doing this.
00:13:34.040 And then there are some people that say, well I start off with conspiracy and I go to mainstream media.
00:13:38.040 Here's how I'm wired.
00:13:40.040 I like to hear both sides of the argument.
00:13:42.040 I want to know what they have to say.
00:13:44.040 And in my mind, I'm like, I'll give you 10% of credibility, conspiracy theorists.
00:13:48.040 But I also listen to what the media has to say.
00:13:50.040 And FYI, I also only give 10% credibility to mainstream media.
00:13:55.040 I take it upon myself to want to do some research, to get some info for myself.
00:14:00.040 So, everything I shared with you today, I don't know if he committed suicide.
00:14:04.040 I don't know if it was a job that was taken because they wanted to take him out on 31 terabytes of files.
00:14:09.040 Based on what some of the things this guy had to say and who he was as a person, as a genius,
00:14:13.040 as a guy that's like a modern day.
00:14:15.040 If he was younger, he'd be like the guy from Iron Man.
00:14:17.040 You know, Tony Stark.
00:14:18.040 He was that kind of a character.
00:14:20.040 He built a company that was sold for $7.7 billion.
00:14:24.040 He just so happened to sell it pretty early.
00:14:26.040 So, having said that, that's my reaction to John McAfee dying on June 23rd.
00:14:32.040 If you haven't seen the interview that I did with John McAfee, click over here
00:14:38.040 and watch it for yourself.
00:14:40.040 FYI, if you think it was a hit job and somebody else took him out, press thumbs up.
00:14:46.040 If you think he committed suicide, press thumbs down.
00:14:50.040 I am curious to know what you think happened to John McAfee.
00:14:54.040 Having said that, have a great week everybody.
00:14:56.040 Take care. Bye-bye.
00:14:57.040 Bye-bye.
