Summary

Summaries generated with gmurro/bart-large-finetuned-filtered-spotify-podcast-summ .

When you think about a power player in media, who do you think of? The Murdochs, the old News Corp, or the old Fox, or maybe Reed Hastings, Netflix, or a little bit of Bezos, maybe Musk? Do you know who a new power player is quietly coming up that two years ago, nobody was talking about? That company was a small little company called Skydance with a billion dollar in top line revenue, maybe $100 million in EBITDA. And then all of a sudden, they buy Paramount for $8 billion, and then they buy Time Warner for $80 billion. And they buy TikTok for $20 a share. You tell me who has that?

00:00:00.000 When you think about a power player in media, who do you think about? You may say,
00:00:03.540 well, maybe the Murdochs, the old News Corp, the old Fox, Wall Street, or maybe Reed Hastings,
00:00:08.600 Netflix, maybe a little bit of Bezos, maybe Musk. Do you know a power player is quietly coming up
00:00:14.020 that two years ago, nobody was talking about? It was a small little company called Skydance,
00:00:18.780 a billion dollar in top line revenue, maybe 90, a hundred million dollars in EBITDA is what they
00:00:23.380 had. Yeah, they co-produced Top Gun. Yeah, they co-produced Star Trek and a couple other movies.
00:00:28.060 And then all of a sudden, they buy Paramount for $8 billion. You know what Paramount owns,
00:00:33.980 just to kind of give you an idea? Transformers. It owns Pluto, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon.
00:00:39.820 It owns CBS News, Free Press, CSI, The Godfather, Mission Impossible, NCIS. And then gradually,
00:00:47.560 these guys make an offer to buy Time Warner? What? Yeah. And it's going to get approved?
00:00:54.140 Most, who are these guys? Wait till you hear who we're still about to own. Here's Time Warner,
00:00:59.580 by the way. They're going to own Discovery. They're going to own HBO. They're going to own HGTV,
00:01:05.700 TBS, TNT, TLC, CNN, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings. And on top of that,
00:01:14.760 guess who else they're about to own? TikTok. You know who we're talking about that? We're talking
00:01:23.100 about Larry Ellison's son named David Ellison. That's who we're going to talk about today.
00:01:33.980 If you have value added this video, give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. Let's get
00:01:37.080 right into it. Larry Ellison. Do you know what Larry Ellison is worth? He's worth $365 billion.
00:01:42.540 You know how much his net worth has increased just this year? Almost $150 billion just in 2025.
00:01:49.600 So naturally, if he's got a son, his son's going to be ambitious. So he's like, hey son,
00:01:53.140 you want to do something? Run a business. Hey dad, I took Skydance from zero to a billion
00:01:57.840 with a $100 million EBIT. I think we can do more. Let's go buy Paramount. Let's go buy Time Warner.
00:02:02.600 Let's go buy TikTok. A lot's been going on. And this happened Skydance in 2010 when they first
00:02:08.420 formed. And then they bought Paramount last year, $8 billion. We talked about it earlier. And then
00:02:12.560 now they're talking about Warner Brothers at $20 a share. It could be worth tens of billions of
00:02:17.200 dollars, depending on them picking it up or not. I don't think anyone's going to stop him,
00:02:21.020 to be honest with you, because he's been a friendly player with the White House. So they're probably
00:02:24.920 going to prove it. So now you got Skydance. They buy Paramount. They buy Time Warner. And then you get
00:02:30.200 TikTok. You tell me who has that. Elon's got X. Massive. He doesn't have a CNN. He doesn't have
00:02:37.980 a TikTok. He doesn't have... This is a very, very... And by the way, craziest thing is, whenever they
00:02:46.060 ever talk about who Elon Musk's mentor is that he goes to for advice, you know, whose name comes up,
00:02:51.460 Larry Ellison, where Elon's like, look, I'm going to be buying up, you know, Tesla. You may want to put
00:02:55.520 some money into it. He's like, how much money do you think I should put into it? Maybe I'll give
00:02:58.180 you a billion. He said, well, listen, it's not like I need any money, but I would put two instead
00:03:02.060 of one. Ellison's like, no problem. I'll put $2 billion into Tesla. They have a very, very good
00:03:07.100 relationship. At one point when Elon was going through challenges, he got on his jet and he
00:03:11.280 went to Larry Ellison's place, I think in Hawaii, one of the islands he owns, just to have a meeting
00:03:15.620 with him. And then he came back and he says, hey, you may not want to be too strong in your
00:03:20.020 relationship with Apple because you need Apple. You're being a little too tough on Apple. That's a
00:03:24.240 company you need because your app is on Apple. So very, very smart businessman. He owns 41%
00:03:29.680 of Oracle. Now his son is becoming a big power player, but at the end of the day, this is,
00:03:35.680 we may not have anybody in the world like this right now. Reed Hastings, he owns Netflix. He's
00:03:41.180 the leader of Netflix, biggest shareholder, but he doesn't have a social media play. These
00:03:45.480 guys now do with TikTok. All right. So you may say, well, Pat, I mean, I know you, you may,
00:03:49.740 maybe you're building this too much. Like what's their actual revenue. All right, let's talk about
00:03:54.560 it. So check this out. Netflix is reveling this year is guesstimated to be around 45 billion and
00:04:01.480 25. Disney is roughly 93, 94 billion in 25. If you take Skydance, which is a billion with Paramount
00:04:11.300 with Time Warner and you combine TikTok, you know what you get ready? 93 billion dollars in
00:04:19.620 revenue. Overnight, you're two times as big as Netflix, same size as Disney. Overnight,
00:04:28.300 that's Skydance for you. And keep this in mind. The average person is going to look at it and say,
00:04:32.780 oh, they're going to be a media company. No, Larry is Oracle. He owns 41%. They're going to be using
00:04:39.420 the information. They have a Paramount and Warner Brothers to get the global subscriber data,
00:04:44.260 what they can do with the ad inventory, the IP. Imagine how that's going to be used. And then
00:04:49.860 the U.S. government, when they chose the buyers for TikTok, 80% of TikTok is going to be sold.
00:04:56.320 They're allowing ByteDance to keep 20% of it as a minority, but 80%, one of the main one's going to
00:05:00.760 be Oracle. And check this out. Oracle's role stores all U.S. TikTok user data on its servers,
00:05:07.060 oversees TikTok's recommendation algorithm under license, holds a major equity stake in a new
00:05:13.100 joint venture. And you know what they're buying it for? You look at what Facebook is worth. So
00:05:18.440 Facebook is worth roughly 1.8 trillion dollars. You know what they're buying TikTok for? 14 billion
00:05:22.640 dollars. An absolute discount is what they're getting it at. Talk about a flywheel of everything
00:05:29.300 feeding each other. This is essentially the ultimate flywheel. Give me a better comp. Tell me one
00:05:36.400 company that has influence now with movies, production, you know, their own OTT. And on top
00:05:43.840 of that, one of the biggest social media companies that goes viral that has data of people around the
00:05:48.320 world. Who has that? Nobody has that today. They may overnight be the biggest power player in media.
00:05:57.480 Now, some of the people that are watching this, maybe you're technically like, no, Skydance didn't
00:06:00.900 buy TikTok. It was Oracle. It's father and son. You know what I'm saying? Like,
00:06:06.400 father runs Oracle, who is acquiring TikTok, Skydance's son. When the father is no longer around,
00:06:13.840 do you know how old Larry Ellison is? He is 81 years old. He looks good. I actually think he's
00:06:19.140 going to go to 100, right? So say 19 more years. He goes to 100. Who is David going to be 19 years
00:06:25.780 from now? Damn. Talk about a real, real. David's going to be a trillionaire overnight, if you think 1.00
00:06:32.660 about it. Because Larry's going to be a trillionaire in the next couple of years, the direction they're
00:06:36.660 going. And now when you think about the partnership they're creating, where now Oracle invests into
00:06:43.320 Nvidia. Nvidia invests into OpenAI. OpenAI invests into Oracle, the ultimate flywheel of them helping
00:06:51.360 each other out. There are some incredible, incredible people say, I created a partnership
00:06:57.320 with the local real estate office. I created a partnership with OpenAI and Nvidia. That's Oracle.
00:07:06.120 Pay very close attention to these guys. It's going to be very, very interesting what happens. But
00:07:11.040 based on what it looks like, if they sell none of their assets the next 20, 30 years, anybody that
00:07:16.760 becomes president, anybody, before they even run for president, hi, may I meet with Larry, please?
00:07:23.540 And David, why is that? I'm thinking about being the next president of the United States.
00:07:28.840 Get in line. We got 62 other people that want to meet with us. Maybe we can meet with you end of
00:07:33.680 the year. And that's what's about to happen with those guys. They're officially number one power
00:07:39.300 players, the way that it's looked like once all these deals get closed. Okay, so if you got value
00:07:44.080 out of this video, give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. And if you want all the notes
00:07:47.600 of what I talked about today, a PDF format, go to PBD Entrepreneur Circle on Manect, go to the QR code,
00:07:55.240 download it. It's free. If you want to network with each other, you got to pay five bucks a month.
