00:00:00.000 So I want you to think about you're in ninth grade, you're in class, the principal, you
00:00:03.440 recognize the voice, gets on the intercom and reads the following statement to everybody.
00:00:07.700 Do not use chat, GPT, or any other automated writing tool for school papers.
00:00:12.720 This is cheating and will not be tolerated.
00:00:15.040 If you're caught using chat GPT or any other automated writing tools for school papers,
00:00:20.240 there will be serious consequences.
00:00:22.400 This is an actual statement that a principal said about chat GPT.
00:00:26.940 Where was chat GPT when we were in high school?
00:00:30.220 Can you imagine some of these papers?
00:00:31.440 By the way, in a minute, I'm going to go on the website.
00:00:33.840 There's two things we're going to search on this website, chat GPT, that got a million
00:00:37.820 users in five days, faster than Facebook took him two years, faster than Pinterest, it took
00:00:42.120 him four months, faster than Angry Birds took him 35 days.
00:00:46.220 We're going to test two things.
00:00:47.440 One, I'm going to search, write a rap song as if Tupac would write it.
00:00:51.860 Two, I'm going to say, I want a paper written on the Iranian revolution written by Donald
00:00:56.920 J. Trump's voice.
00:00:58.180 Let's see what it says.
00:00:59.120 Having said that, what the hell is chat GPT?
00:01:01.700 Let's learn about it.
00:01:11.520 So let's get right into it.
00:01:12.640 By the way, just out of curiosity, who do you think is behind this chat GPT?
00:01:16.340 Meaning, who do you think started a company in 2015?
00:01:18.660 What if I told you a guy named Sam Altman and another guy named Elon Musk were the co-chairs
00:01:23.380 when they first started a company?
00:01:24.640 And some of the names of people that committed to giving a billion dollars to this non-profit
00:01:28.680 were Peter Thiel, Reid Hoffman, Jessica Livingston, they brought a CTO from Stripe named Greg Brockman,
00:01:36.060 and they brought the world leading expert in machine learning on top of that.
00:01:40.640 Like, it's almost like saying the Justice League of Computer Scientists.
00:01:44.740 The most brilliant minds came together and saying, what can we do to innovate and advance
00:01:49.940 open AIs in ways no one's ever seen before, and that's exactly what they've done.
00:01:54.600 So now you may be asking, so Pat, what's the big deal about chat GPT?
00:01:57.340 I mean, don't we already have Google?
00:01:58.480 What's the difference between this and Google?
00:01:59.700 I mean, it can't be better than Google, right?
00:02:01.660 So let me give you a visualization.
00:02:03.340 Imagine you go to a library.
00:02:04.460 Google is, you go in and say, hey, I would like to read a book on the history of the Iranian
00:02:08.600 revolution.
00:02:09.340 No problem.
00:02:10.060 Here's a book.
00:02:10.620 Go read it.
00:02:11.240 That's Google.
00:02:11.940 You go to chat GPT, you go and say, hey, can you give me the summary of what happened in
00:02:16.560 the Iranian revolution?
00:02:17.720 Yes.
00:02:18.000 Here you go.
00:02:19.180 It just gives it to you.
00:02:20.780 Here, you go do it yourself.
00:02:22.480 Here, I'm going to interact with you.
00:02:24.100 And by the way, in Google, you're talking to a website.
00:02:27.040 In chat GPT, it's as if you're talking to a human being writing back to you in a conversational
00:02:32.680 style.
00:02:33.380 Okay, let me just put it to you this way.
00:02:34.880 New York Times just came out with an article saying this is a code read for Google.
00:02:37.980 And Elon Musk said in a tweet, this is scary good.
00:02:41.100 We're not far from dangerously strong AI.
00:02:44.260 So let me kind of give you an example.
00:02:46.100 I'm going to go on the website right now, like I promised you earlier.
00:02:49.020 Let's see what happens if I type in, write a song like Tupac.
00:02:55.980 Let's see what it says.
00:02:57.500 Okay.
00:02:58.180 By the way, just so you know, the website's already crashed.
00:03:00.280 While I'm searching it, it already crashed.
00:03:02.240 It's constantly crashing.
00:03:03.120 You can read about this.
00:03:04.020 So now write a song like Tupac.
00:03:06.720 Let's see what it says.
00:03:07.840 It's doing it for me right now.
00:03:09.200 Now, here's a sample Tupac-inspired song.
00:03:12.660 Keep in mind that I'm a huge language model and do not have personal experience or feelings
00:03:17.900 or so my lyrics not capture the same emotion or depth as Tupac's work.
00:03:22.500 Now, verse one.
00:03:23.160 I was born in the gutter, raised in the streets.
00:03:26.400 Mama was a hustler. 1.00
00:03:27.600 Daddy was deceased. 0.81
00:03:28.780 I had to fend for myself no time to sleep.
00:03:31.660 The only way to survive was to stay on my feet.
00:03:34.580 I'm a warrior.
00:03:35.420 I won't back down.
00:03:36.800 I'll fight for what I believe.
00:03:38.340 Won't let them push me around.
00:03:40.280 I'm a soldier.
00:03:41.220 I won't give in.
00:03:42.400 I'll stand tall even when it feels like the world is caving in.
00:03:46.160 This is insane, by the way.
00:03:47.460 This is happening in real time right now.
00:03:49.040 Now, I've seen the worst that life has to offer, but I won't let it bring me down.
00:03:53.620 I'll rise up and prosper.
00:03:55.500 I've been knocked down, but I won't stay on the ground.
00:03:57.980 I'll get back up and I'll wear a crown.
00:04:00.800 I'm a warrior.
00:04:01.400 I won't back down and it keeps going back to it.
00:04:03.480 It's doing it right now.
00:04:04.580 By the way, this is still going.
00:04:06.020 It's still going by itself.
00:04:07.440 It's writing the song in a minute.
00:04:09.360 How crazy is this, Mario?
00:04:10.980 Okay, let me do another one here for you.
00:04:12.600 Write a paper on Iran revolution and make it sound like Donald Trump.
00:04:24.220 The Iranian revolution was a huge deal, folks.
00:04:29.860 It was a time of great upheaval and turmoil in the Middle Eastern country of Iran. 0.94
00:04:34.020 The revolution was led by Itala Khomeini, who was a very dishonest and corrupt man.
00:04:39.160 He was supported by many radical Islamic groups, and they were all determined to destroy the 1.00
00:04:46.580 great and peaceful country of Iran under the leadership of Khomeini.
00:04:49.820 The Iranian people were subjected to all sorts of horrors.
00:04:53.700 This is, it's still going.
00:04:55.000 It's still writing it.
00:04:56.500 I mean, what are you going to write a paper for?
00:04:58.600 FYI, you know what's happening, the whole thing with the principles and you cannot use
00:05:01.180 this anymore?
00:05:01.740 So teachers are starting to realize that kids are using ChatGBT.
00:05:04.300 There's a website called Quillbot, which you'll go here and get the paper.
00:05:07.400 Then you take it from there, put it on Quillbot, then Quillbot makes it seem like you wrote
00:05:11.140 it, so the school cannot track it.
00:05:12.940 And then you submit it, and the teacher has to believe that you wrote it, or somebody else
00:05:16.720 wrote it, but they can't track it.
00:05:18.200 I mean, do you realize how big of a disruption this is for copywriters, for schools, for teachers,
00:05:23.340 for professors?
00:05:24.360 How are you going to know now to kind of get things to be more real life?
00:05:28.460 You have to write the paper in class to believe that the person wrote it, not a website wrote
00:05:32.300 it.
00:05:32.400 Anyway, this is the website and what it's doing that's revolutionizing many different
00:05:36.800 industries.
00:05:37.420 However, were they the first to do this?
00:05:39.940 Did anybody else do this, and what happened to them?
00:05:41.940 What if I told you both Microsoft and Meta try to do this, and they both flopped for different
00:05:46.980 reasons?
00:05:47.540 Microsoft did it with a company called Tay.
00:05:49.760 For 24 hours, this was like in 2015 or 2016, and it was all AI generated content that's coming
00:05:56.920 up, and it's doing it itself until all of a sudden the tweets went from being a good human
00:06:01.300 being to being a white supremacist, literally calling out feminists. 0.90
00:06:05.520 Within 24 hours, that project was over with for Microsoft.
00:06:09.120 And Meta had a similar type of website called BlenderBot3, but they had a challenge because
00:06:13.480 a user asked a question about who won the election, and BlenderBot3 claimed that Donald
00:06:18.400 Trump won the election.
00:06:19.380 Obviously, it was over from there.
00:06:20.500 But now, ChatGBT, what they've done the last few weeks has gone from $0 to $29 billion in
00:06:26.080 valuation.
00:06:27.120 So they're the ones so far that have been able to get it right the most.
00:06:30.240 Doesn't mean they're not going to have any glitches, but so far, so good in the first
00:06:33.440 few weeks.
00:06:34.120 So what does this mean to everybody?
00:06:35.340 To you?
00:06:35.660 To me?
00:06:35.900 To the consumer, it's just another cool tool to use.
00:06:38.140 But to people involved in spaces like technology, copywriting, they're going to experience a lot
00:06:43.660 of disruption.
00:06:44.320 So that could be leading to unemployment, or it could lead to millions of new jobs being created,
00:06:48.800 just like nobody thought some of these websites were being created.
00:06:51.900 Oh my God, that thing's going to eliminate so many jobs.
00:06:53.960 No, Google created jobs, YouTube created jobs, rather than they created many different
00:06:58.260 unique ways of making money.
00:06:59.600 So advancement, innovation coming at a very, very fast pace.
00:07:02.940 And by the way, this may not be the brick phone, but it could be the Nokia phone, okay,
00:07:07.140 that we're talking about with advancement.
00:07:08.480 This is definitely not at the level of the smartphone or the iPhone, so it's going to be very interesting
00:07:12.540 where this AI goes to.
00:07:14.760 We're definitely going into uncharted territories that we've not been in, which means
00:07:18.780 get used to having to adapt and learn very, very quickly, and having to see things that
00:07:23.180 we've never been used to before that can disrupt many different industries, or help you grow
00:07:26.780 your business to the next level.
00:07:28.480 Having said that, I got another video I want you to watch.
00:07:30.580 I want to get your thoughts on ChadGBT, comment below.
00:07:33.000 I'll be reading your comments.
00:07:34.020 But also another video I want you to watch, 2023 predictions, what I'm calling 2023 the year
00:07:42.180 of.
00:07:42.380 If you've not seen that video, click here to watch the video.
00:07:45.200 Take care, everybody.
00:07:45.880 Bye-bye.
00:07:46.120 Bye-bye.
00:07:50.520 Bye-bye.
