00:04:42.620 They had sketches, and then they ended up getting a lead from DNA evidence.
00:04:46.720 And there was DNA evidence that was linked to this suspect,
00:04:51.900 who we now know the person they have arrested is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador
00:04:59.720 named Victor Martinez Hernandez.
00:05:03.860 And this weekend, there was a press conference.
00:05:08.080 And Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Goller, here's what he said about this defendant.
00:05:12.840 He said, quote,
00:05:14.040 Five hours after meeting with Morin's family and just before midnight our time,
00:05:18.960 police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, assisted by our federal partners,
00:05:22.640 located and arrested Rachel's murderer, Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez.
00:05:29.480 He was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape.
00:05:34.900 The 23-year-old migrant illegally crossed in the United States in February of 2023,
00:05:40.100 the police announced.
00:05:41.820 And here's what the sheriff continued.
00:05:43.700 This is, again, a quote.
00:05:45.480 We all suspected that Rachel was not his first victim.
00:05:49.640 It is my understanding that this suspect, this monster, fled to the United States illegally
00:05:58.180 after committing the brutal murder of a young woman in El Salvador a month earlier in January of 2023.
00:06:07.300 And the sheriff said their first DNA match for Martinez Hernandez was from a Los Angeles attack in March of 2023.
00:06:15.120 So understand, this person murders someone in El Salvador in January of 2023.

00:06:26.280 And then in March of 2023, a month later, he commits a violent attack in Los Angeles.

00:06:36.520 the Los Angeles Police Department collected a hardhat left behind at the scene of a March 2023 home invasion
00:06:44.780 that turned violent, leaving multiple people, including minor children, injured.

00:06:53.580 and assaulted the family inside before he was chased out.
00:06:58.060 Surveillance footage captured the man leaving shirtless through the front door.
00:07:02.700 And so that DNA connected this murderer who had murdered before to the murderer to the murder of Rachel Morin.

00:07:15.440 How many Americans have to be murdered by illegal immigrants that Joe Biden, the Democrats release over and over and over again

00:10:29.640 Once in our country and likely emboldened by his anonymity, he brutally attacked a nine-year-old girl and her mother during a home invasion in March of 2023 in Los Angeles.
00:10:41.720 And as everyone, I believe, is aware, this was our first DNA match linking Rachel's case to the one in Los Angeles.
00:10:49.620 And he turned his attention, he said, to the White House and to members of Congress.
00:10:56.360 And he said, quote, we are 1,800 miles from the southern border and American citizens are not safe because of their failed immigration policies.
00:11:08.880 This is the second time in two years that an innocent Harford County woman has lost her life to a criminal in our country illegally.
00:11:20.040 In both cases, they are suspects from El Salvador with ties to criminal gangs.

00:13:39.040 Four people familiar with the plans told CBS News, a program being developed by White House officials would offer work permits and deportation protections to unauthorized immigrants married to U.S. citizens as long as they have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years.

00:14:02.580 The proposal, known as parole in place, would also open up a pathway to permanent legal status and U.S. citizenship.

00:18:19.280 Both of these measures could be announced as early as Tuesday, as early as tomorrow.
00:18:24.160 But they say the plan has not been finalized by the administration, although, of course,
00:18:28.120 they've got four people calling CBS News to tell them about it.
00:18:31.120 And the White House is preparing to host an event on Tuesday celebrating the 12th anniversary
00:18:37.560 of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, DACA, which shields roughly 530,000 illegal
00:18:45.240 immigrants who came to the United States as children.
00:18:48.260 And by the way, when Barack Obama announced DACA, he had said repeatedly, I think it was
00:18:53.280 something like 27, 28 times, that he did not have the authority to grant amnesty by executive

00:19:01.880 They were saying, do it by executive order, do it by executive order.

00:21:15.340 And CBS goes on to say the move would further underscore increased willingness by President
00:21:21.200 Biden to take executive actions on immigration ahead of the presidential election in November.
00:21:25.880 Uh, just last week, Mr. Biden invoked his executive authority to enact a partial ban on
00:21:32.740 asylum claims at the Southern border, a move that's already been challenged in federal court
00:21:36.900 by the American Civil Liberties Union.
00:21:39.820 This is, it's not hiding what they want.
00:21:45.180 They want people here illegally to vote for Democrats.
00:21:49.560 And, and, and so it, it does make the, the, the stakes of the presidential election.

00:22:47.460 Not only is he now advocating for amnesty, which is, in essence, buying votes, but there
00:22:52.340 was also new details that came out about how non-citizens are getting voter registration
00:22:59.380 forms from across the U.S.
00:23:02.200 Republicans are trying to stop this.
00:23:04.740 Democrats are saying no.
00:23:06.340 And just to break this down so people understand, United States welfare offices, as well as other
00:23:14.440 government agencies under the Biden administration in 49 different states in this country, are
00:23:22.560 now providing voter registration forms to illegal immigrants without requiring proof of citizenship.
00:23:31.680 And Democrats, this isn't a loophole, they're exploiting it.
00:23:37.160 Yeah, that's exactly right.
00:23:38.960 And I'll say the New York Post had an important article on this past weekend entitled,
00:23:47.500 How Non-Citizens Are Getting Voter Registration Forms Across the United States and How Republicans
00:23:52.520 Are Trying to Stop It.
00:23:54.180 And it describes how every state but Arizona, and Arizona recently passed a law barring the
00:24:00.580 practice on state but not federal forms, every other state gives applicants for either welfare
00:24:06.080 benefits, driver's licenses, or in some cases mail-in ballots, gives them voter registration
00:24:12.340 forms without demanding proof of citizenship.
00:24:16.100 And there's no requirement on federal forms to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, although
00:24:21.820 it is illegal to falsely claim one is a citizen or for a non-citizen to cast a ballot.
00:24:26.400 But of course, if you're not asking for proof of citizenship, I guess it's just sort of
00:24:31.240 wink-wink, trust me, and we just will take it on an honor system that you're not going
00:24:36.900 to do it.
00:24:37.600 It's also, if you think about this, if you know you're voting illegally, but you're voting
00:24:43.300 for the people that claim they're going to give you amnesty, and you already broke into
00:24:46.980 the United States of America, it's not a far-stretch center to think, of course they're going to
00:24:52.120 sign up to vote, because they're going to vote for the party that's about to hand them
00:24:55.240 amnesty.
00:24:56.640 Well, of course, and that's the entire point.
00:24:59.920 The reason the Democrats are allowing and actively facilitating this invasion is they
00:25:06.080 want voters, and they recognize that illegal immigrants are very likely to vote Democrat,
00:25:11.260 that if you're willing to break the law, if you're coming here illegally, that you're
00:25:15.680 going to go with the party that is inviting you to break the law and is coming, showering
00:25:20.780 you with benefits and looking the other way.
00:25:23.040 And look, a lot of the problem stems back from a law that was passed in 1993 called the
00:25:29.280 National Voter Registration Act, and it was signed into law by Bill Clinton.
00:25:33.220 It was also called the Motor Voter Law.
00:25:36.400 And what it did is it ordered states to register voters at the Department of Motor Vehicles and
00:25:42.760 also at agencies where Americans apply for public benefits.
00:25:47.940 And those offices, in turn, are required by federal law to hand the registration forms
00:25:53.020 along with the application papers over to the federal government.
00:25:58.160 And if an applicant simply attests, if they say, yep, I'm a U.S. citizen, that is considered
00:26:04.100 valid on its face, and that person is then registered to vote.
00:26:08.820 And so the challenge right now is that millions of illegal immigrants with humanitarian parole 0.98
00:26:17.420 or with refugee or asylum status are eligible right now for benefits that brings them to
00:26:24.300 the offices where voter registration is taking place.
00:26:26.880 So that's happening right now.
00:26:28.580 Millions of these illegal immigrants are going to the offices where the offices are handing
00:26:33.740 them voter registration forms.
00:26:35.300 And I want to pause for a second and reflect on how the Motor Voter Law passed.
00:26:42.160 Because it had, in 1992, it had passed Congress, and George Herbert Walker Bush had vetoed it.
00:26:50.240 But then in 1993, look, elections have consequences.
00:26:53.780 And when Bill Clinton got elected, it passed again.
00:26:57.340 But I'll tell you, in the Senate, the reason it passed in the Senate, so every Democrat voted yes.
00:27:03.660 So the Democrats get exactly what they're doing.
00:27:06.700 All of the Democrats voted yes.
00:27:08.120 Not a single Democrat voted no.
00:27:10.100 But here's the problem.
00:27:11.700 Six Republicans voted yes as well.
00:27:14.900 So the vote in the Senate was 62 to 36.
00:27:18.020 In other words, if the Republicans had voted no, they could have killed it.
00:27:22.140 But just going through this, and I'm just looking down the list of the Republicans,
00:27:27.460 Domenici from New Mexico voted yes.
00:27:30.280 Durenberger from Minnesota voted yes.
00:27:33.340 Hatfield from Oregon voted yes.
00:27:36.400 Packwood from Oregon voted yes.
00:27:39.900 Spector from Pennsylvania voted yes.
00:27:43.260 And Jeffords from Vermont voted yes.
00:27:45.820 Now, that's six Republicans.
00:27:47.140 If just three of them had voted no, this bill wouldn't pass.
00:27:51.380 And it's frustrating because the Democrats all get in line.
00:27:54.700 They get what they're doing.
00:27:56.200 They get that they are engaged in an effort to stay in power.
00:28:00.240 And it's not lost on them.
00:28:02.300 Look, when the bill passed, it's not an accident that they put voter registration in welfare offices.

00:30:36.500 And Democrats are really good, Senator, at counting.
00:30:39.940 They know how many millions of illegal immigrants are in this country on humanitarian parole as refugees, asylum status.

00:30:58.540 And they understand that then once you're in the federal system, whether it's to get welfare benefits, a driver's license, there's a instant pathway to go, hey, here's your register to vote paperwork.
00:31:15.580 And these millions of migrants that are walking in and out of government offices are now open to that.
00:31:23.500 That's the reason why this is so dangerous.
00:31:25.400 This isn't just a one off for a couple of people or as Democrats, I describe it within an asterisk when you're counting votes.

00:32:32.500 Now, look, in the House, the House is taking up a bill called the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, the SAVE Act, which the House Administration Committee last month passed.
00:32:43.400 And this bill requires states to receive proof of citizenship whenever anyone registers to vote by mail or at a DMV office or at a welfare agency office.
00:32:56.800 And here's what what Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House, said following the approval of the bill.
00:33:02.540 He said, quote, as President Biden has welcomed millions of illegal immigrants through our borders, including sophisticated criminal syndicates and foreign adversaries, it is incumbent upon Congress to implement greater enforcement measures that secure the voter registration process and ensure only American citizens decide the outcome of American elections.
00:33:21.820 And yet, astonishingly, the Democrats are fighting this.
00:33:27.840 So, for example, there's a left leaning operation called the Campaign Legal Center that has said that that the SAVE Act is, quote, a shameful measure that will undermine trust in the electoral process.
00:33:40.360 And they dismiss concerns about non-citizen voting by saying it hasn't taken place at any meaningful level, quote, it is a fabrication being peddled for personal and political gain by leaders who should know better.
00:33:55.860 Shameful bills like the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act often result in eligible U.S. citizens being incorrectly prevented from voting or being forced to jump through additional hoops to exercise their freedom to vote.
00:34:09.460 And the campaign legal center opposes this bill.
00:34:12.640 But, and you know what?
00:34:14.420 The Democrats are very happy to salute and follow the line.
00:34:21.120 Right now, at least 19 states plus Washington, D.C., allow non-citizens to obtain driver's licenses.
00:34:28.180 So in nearly half the states, you don't have to be a citizen to get a driver's license.
00:34:32.340 And that is something that Biden supported during his presidential campaign.
00:34:36.880 By the way, Biden was one of the Democrats who voted for Motor Voter.
00:34:40.660 So he is just implementing the plan now from the executive side instead of the legislative side.
00:34:46.880 And tragically, this pattern of amnesty and voting answers the question that I asked at the beginning of this pod.
