00:01:56.740 Welcome back to Verdict with Ted Cruz.

00:01:59.420 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:02:01.180 Senator, there is a lot that I want to get to.

00:02:04.100 I want to get to Martha's Vineyard.

00:02:05.820 I want to get to the Iranian president.

00:02:08.640 But first, I do not want us to be accused of creating a straw man out of Joe Biden.

00:02:16.540 Joe Biden just sat down with 60 minutes for an interview covering pretty much every topic under the sun.

00:02:22.340 And I would like to get your reaction to Biden in his own words, since as far as I can tell,

00:02:28.580 the media will never push the man in any way and push back on his talking points.

00:02:35.420 Well, unfortunately, his mental acuity is so diminished that 60 minutes took 120 minutes.

00:02:41.440 It was a softball. 0.51

00:02:45.420 Yeah, I mean, how can you not go for that one?

00:02:48.120 Look, the press, they're not even the Praetorian Guard.

00:02:55.760 They are his loyal propagandists, and they allow him to spin without challenge.

00:03:03.400 But let's get to specifics.

00:03:06.520 OK, so first up, he takes on the issue of inflation.

00:03:11.040 We know we've got 40-year record high inflation.

00:03:13.360 The inflation has kept up.

00:03:15.240 Here is the spin that the White House is putting on it.

00:03:17.220 Mr. President, as you know, last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came in at 8.3%.

00:03:23.880 The stock market nosedived.

00:03:26.860 People are shocked by their grocery bills.

00:03:30.660 What can you do better and faster?

00:03:33.300 Well, first of all, let's put this in perspective.

00:03:35.920 Inflation rate month to month was just an inch, hardly at all.

00:03:40.820 You're not arguing that 8.3 is good news.

00:03:43.180 No, I'm not saying it is good news, but it was 8.2 or 8.2 before.

00:03:47.360 I mean, it's not, you're acting, make it sound like all of a sudden, my God, it went to 8.2%.

00:03:52.100 It's been...

00:03:52.840 It's the highest inflation rate, Mr. President, in 40 years.

00:03:56.140 I got that.

00:03:57.260 But guess what we are?

00:03:58.840 We're in a position where, for the last several months, it hasn't spiked.

00:04:02.620 It has just barely, it's been basically even.

00:04:04.980 Look, this is a process.

00:04:07.660 This is a process.

00:04:09.400 Is the economy going to get worse before it gets better?

00:04:12.340 No.

00:04:13.760 I don't think so.

00:04:14.960 Okay.

00:04:15.420 So you saw actually more pushback than I've ever seen from the media there.

00:04:19.200 It wasn't very much at all, but at least he's saying, come on, man.

00:04:22.220 You know, throw me a bone here.

00:04:24.240 It's obviously extremely high inflation.

00:04:26.480 Biden says, no, the month over month has barely ticked up.

00:04:29.860 What say you?

00:04:30.800 So you're right.

00:04:31.960 I'll give Scott Pelley some credit.

00:04:33.680 He did at least push back some, which is more than the White House press briefing typically

00:04:38.900 does.

00:04:39.680 But, you know, Biden's argument is bizarre.

00:04:42.480 He says, well, it's 8.3, but it didn't get any worse.

00:04:46.160 I mean, you know, I'm reminded of an analogy like you're badly wounded and you're bleeding

00:04:51.780 out a pint an hour.

00:04:53.640 And his defense is, well, it didn't increase.

00:04:56.200 It didn't go up to two pints an hour.

00:04:58.280 Like, you're still bleeding to death.

00:05:00.740 Like, 8.3 percent annualized inflation means that families across this country are badly

00:05:07.820 hurting.

00:05:08.300 And it is continuing to be.

00:05:11.040 It's the highest inflation rate in 40 years.

00:05:14.000 And Biden has no solution for it.

00:05:16.580 But it's worse than having no solution for it.

00:05:19.680 He doesn't understand what caused it.

00:05:21.520 There's only one thing that causes inflation.

00:05:23.640 That's government spending too much money, spending money it doesn't have, borrowing money

00:05:27.160 it doesn't have, and printing money it doesn't have.

00:05:29.600 Biden's solution is spend more money they don't have, borrow more money they don't have,

00:05:34.200 and print more money they don't have.

00:05:36.040 That will produce more inflation.

00:05:39.340 And Biden's answer is, well, think how much worse it could be.

00:05:42.760 Think how much worse it could be month over month.

00:05:44.920 And I think I don't measure inflation month over month.

00:05:49.720 Nobody measures inflation month over month.

00:05:51.540 We measure it measure it year over year.

00:05:53.540 And the fact is that goods cost eight and a half percent more in September of this year

00:05:59.300 than they did in September of last year.

00:06:01.560 And so even that shift of, well, let's look at the month to month metric.

00:06:05.720 I think who cares about that metric?

00:06:07.820 If it's jumped this much in a year, that's really, really bad.

00:06:11.200 Well, and look, even that figure understates it in terms of what Americans are actually

00:06:15.860 feeling.

00:06:16.380 You take gasoline.

00:06:17.340 Gasoline is still double what it was when Biden was elected.

00:06:20.620 That ain't eight percent.

00:06:22.140 That's double.

00:06:23.000 That is hurting people.

00:06:24.600 A hundred dollar gas bill is now not unusual to fill up your truck.

00:06:28.540 You know, people are seeing $150 gas bills, particularly if you're unfortunate enough to

00:06:33.100 live on the West Coast.

00:06:35.740 You know, you look at food bills that have skyrocketed.

00:06:39.080 You look at, you know, you look at electricity.

00:06:43.340 My electricity bill, it's a lot more than eight percent what it was last year.

00:06:48.160 I think a lot of the bills consumers are paying haven't just gone up a little, but they've

00:06:53.860 gone up a ton and people are hurting.

00:06:57.100 So there's good news that Joe Biden gave in this interview amid all the terrible economic

00:07:01.280 news.

00:07:01.580 He said, no, there's there's a glimmer of light here because of the pandemic.

00:07:05.780 You know, the pandemic from two and a half years ago that was supposed to end in 15 days.

00:07:09.760 The pandemic, he says, is over.

00:07:12.180 President, first Detroit auto show in three years.

00:07:15.360 Yeah.

00:07:16.760 Is the pandemic over?

00:07:18.900 The pandemic is over.

00:07:21.040 We still have a problem with COVID.

00:07:22.920 We're still doing a lot of work on it.

00:07:25.440 It's what the pandemic is over.

00:07:27.460 If you notice, no one's wearing masks.

00:07:29.180 Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape.

00:07:31.180 And so I think it's changing.

00:07:33.000 And I think this is a perfect example of it.

00:07:36.000 OK, one, do you agree?

00:07:37.700 And two, if you do agree, that's good news, right?

00:07:40.360 That's something Biden can hang his hat on.

00:07:42.360 Well, listen, he's right.

00:07:43.520 The pandemic is over.

00:07:44.700 I'll tell you who doesn't agree.

00:07:46.620 The Biden White House, within hours of this interview airing, the White House was immediately

00:07:52.180 walking back.

00:07:52.900 No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

00:07:53.820 We didn't mean that the pandemic is over.

00:07:55.560 Never mind what he actually said to the camera.

00:07:58.820 Look, we have an administration.

00:08:01.120 They still have vaccine mandates in place.

00:08:03.140 That they're still trying to throw people out of the Army and the Navy and the Air Force

00:08:07.420 and the Marines because they haven't gotten vaccinated.

00:08:10.700 They're trying to throw people out of the federal government.

00:08:13.520 They're trying to throw FBI agents out.

00:08:15.780 They're trying to throw Border Patrol agents out.

00:08:17.620 They're trying to throw professionals up and down the federal government out. 0.96

00:08:21.220 Look, the D.C.

00:08:24.680 public schools have announced they're going to impose a vaccine mandate on the D.C.

00:08:31.780 public schools that if a kid hasn't been vaccinated, that kid can't come to school.

00:08:37.500 In the District of Columbia, only 80 percent of the kids have COVID vaccines, but only 60

00:08:43.740 percent of the African-American kids.

00:08:45.460 So the Democrats are literally trying to throw 40 percent of the African-American kids out

00:08:51.260 of school.

00:08:51.700 Now, they delayed that rule because there was so much pushback from the parents that they're

00:08:55.800 like, gosh, maybe it isn't a good idea to throw 40 percent of the black kids out of the 1.00

00:08:59.200 D.C. public schools. 0.98

00:09:00.200 Maybe really bad things will happen from that. 1.00

00:09:03.460 But these idiots, they're trying to impose these mandates. 1.00

00:09:07.960 We saw just this week, New York is firing teachers who haven't gotten the COVID vaccine. 1.00

00:09:15.760 We've seen nurses and doctors fired who haven't gotten the COVID vaccine.

00:09:20.080 Yes, the pandemic is over, but these petty totalitarians.

00:09:25.400 Let me ask you something.

00:09:26.760 The U.S.

00:09:27.640 Open.

00:09:29.140 Why is it that we're putting a vaccine mandate to play tennis outside with world class athletes?

00:09:35.380 Because these are petty totalitarian despots.

00:09:42.140 And that answer illustrates we've all known that the pandemic was over for a long time.

00:09:48.620 And yet, you know what?

00:09:50.240 Biden's administration is still appealing to impose the mask mandate on airplanes.

00:09:57.260 His DOJ is litigating it right now.

00:10:00.220 It's only because a courageous federal judge says enough is enough.

00:10:03.600 Get rid of the mask.

00:10:05.120 And you know what?

00:10:05.720 You've still got numbskulls on planes. 1.00

00:10:07.480 Not many, but a few that their virtue is so strong they will mask up till the end of time.

00:10:13.920 So the disconnect I get, because there have been many times when the Biden White House

00:10:18.580 undercuts Joe Biden himself, which raises a lot of questions about who is running the White House.

00:10:23.020 I get the disconnect.

00:10:24.320 But the question that I have is why?

00:10:26.800 Why are they still pushing COVID?

00:10:28.560 Is it ignorance?

00:10:29.780 Is it neurosis?

00:10:30.640 Are they really afraid of the Wuhan virus?

00:10:34.420 Or is it a little more cynical and political than that?

00:10:37.860 Do they see midterm elections coming up, especially elections that they don't seem very well situated

00:10:42.420 for?

00:10:43.060 And are they hoping to reinstitute some of the extraordinary, quote unquote, public health

00:10:48.320 measures that seem to give them an electoral advantage in 2020?

00:10:52.420 So I don't think it's the latter.

00:10:54.260 Now, to be clear, you're going to see Democrats pushing mail-in balloting because they think it

00:10:58.460 elects Democrats and it does elect Democrats.

00:11:00.360 The more policies they put in place that that increase the likelihood of fraud, the more

00:11:05.300 likely Democrats are to win.

00:11:06.700 So it's it don't have anything to do with COVID.

00:11:08.880 It has to do with the fact they want to hold on to power.

00:11:13.100 You know, it's interesting.

00:11:14.740 It's getting in the mind of a leftist is not easy.

00:11:17.420 I think there are several things going on.

00:11:21.260 I do think there are definitely some on the left that have sort of bought the fear porn,

00:11:28.460 the like, we're all going to die.

00:11:30.320 We must be masked.

00:11:31.400 We must be quadruple vaxxed.

00:11:33.680 We must like some of them that has been so beaten into them that it's hard for them.

00:11:39.680 It's like they have Stockholm syndrome or something.

00:11:41.300 So, yeah, you know, it's like you see the the the self-righteous lefty driving down the

00:11:48.040 road in the car alone wearing a mask.

00:11:50.160 You know, you see people out in D.C.

00:11:52.940 I saw this.

00:11:53.820 This was several months ago, but I saw like two older ladies with gray hairs who who they 1.00

00:12:00.760 weren't wearing Birkenstocks, but everything about them conveyed that they were people of

00:12:06.580 the left.

00:12:07.100 They had some in the closet.

00:12:07.840 So so they were they were walking down the street, no mask.

00:12:12.220 They saw me and reached in their purses and put on their mask because their virtue had to

00:12:19.240 be demonstrated in while I was on the sidewalk anywhere near them.

00:12:23.660 It that is a true thing for lefties.

00:12:27.900 I think with lefty politicians, it's a different thing.

00:12:30.700 They like power.

00:12:32.280 They like having the authority to say you shut your business, you shut your school, you get

00:12:39.240 a vaccine like the vaccine mandate.

00:12:41.620 It is an exercise of power.

00:12:44.200 I will make you comply.

00:12:46.720 You know, Joe Biden told Chicago, fire half your police officers if they don't get the vaccine.

00:12:51.660 It is it's it is the petty authoritarianism, but the pettiness is the point.

00:12:58.780 It's I have the power.

00:13:01.480 To control you now, on the flip side, I think the inflation component of it, part of the reason

00:13:07.520 that that Biden says the pandemic is over.

00:13:10.620 Is I think they're starting to get scared about November, and so he's trying to have some good

00:13:14.480 news and saying the pandemic is over is him saying, look, see, we solved covid.

00:13:18.940 By the way, you're fired if you don't get a vaccine.

00:13:21.200 But see, we solved covid.

00:13:22.340 Now, I alluded earlier to the war in Ukraine, obviously a huge challenge for Biden, because

00:13:28.780 in the words of Vladimir Zelensky, president of Ukraine, Biden largely was the cause of

00:13:34.740 that of that war by dropping sanctions on Putin and by by actually sort of inviting him

00:13:40.820 to invade eastern Ukraine and saying there wouldn't really be consequences.

00:13:43.280 So here's what Biden said in response to the breakout of the first major war in Europe

00:13:48.320 in 70 years.

00:13:49.560 It has been barbaric what he's done.

00:13:52.200 His attacks on civilian everything from civilian hospitals to to, you know, people's old age

00:14:00.700 homes to neighborhoods where ordinary people live.

00:14:04.600 Schools.

00:14:05.020 Schools.

00:14:05.760 It's just outrageous.

00:14:06.760 And so the the price Ukrainian people are paying for this war is extremely high.

00:14:16.480 But we're going to stay with them as long as they need our help.

00:14:19.440 You're already north of 15 billion dollars in terms of those commitments.

00:14:23.040 How far do you go?

00:14:24.340 As long as it takes.

00:14:26.600 Ironclad commitment.

00:14:27.840 Yes.

00:14:28.140 As Ukraine succeeds on the battlefield, Vladimir Putin is becoming embarrassed and pushed into

00:14:36.040 a corner.

00:14:37.500 And I wonder, Mr. President, what you would say to him if he is considering using chemical

00:14:43.620 or tactical nuclear weapons.

00:14:46.020 Don't.

00:14:48.400 Don't.

00:14:49.680 Don't.

00:14:51.420 It will change the face of war unlike anything since World War Two.

00:14:55.900 And the consequences of that would be what?

00:14:59.680 What would the U.S. response be?

00:15:02.260 You think I would tell you if I knew exactly what it would be?

00:15:04.980 Of course, I'm not going to tell you.

00:15:06.680 So there's a little bit of a slip he has at the end, which is he admits he doesn't know

00:15:10.600 what the response would be.

00:15:11.940 And he said, do you think I would tell you even if I did know?

00:15:14.100 And certainly he's not going to be the one formulating those strategies.

00:15:17.440 But putting aside the blame game, which which we know you.

00:15:21.640 Zelensky blames Biden for the war.

00:15:23.320 But putting aside the blame game for a second, what do you make of his answer?

00:15:28.240 Yes, we will stick with Ukraine. 0.98

00:15:29.720 Yes, there's no end to the support that we will give.

00:15:32.300 And his deterrent speech, a slight, slight bit of rhetoric against Putin.

00:15:38.620 Look, he asks, what do you do?

00:15:41.540 What do you say if Putin is going to drop a nuclear bomb in Europe?

00:15:46.520 Well, it's kind of a big question.

00:15:51.880 Biden's answer is, don't.

00:15:56.840 Don't.

00:15:59.700 Don't.

00:16:01.620 OK, I.

00:16:02.900 It's uncanny.

00:16:03.880 It's like I've got Biden right in front of me.

00:16:05.260 OK, just just listening to that.

00:16:09.220 Is there anyone on planet or Earth who that would deter from doing anything?

00:16:16.160 Literally anything.

00:16:16.940 A third grader who's beating up another third grader who heard someone going, oh, oh, that

00:16:24.640 third grader is getting punched in the nose.

00:16:26.260 Mm hmm.

00:16:27.800 Like, look, one of the responsibilities of the commander in chief.

00:16:33.720 Is to deter our enemies.

00:16:38.320 Why did Putin invade Ukraine?

00:16:41.120 One of the reasons was Biden's weakness waiving sanctions.

00:16:45.280 But another weak reason was Biden is so incredibly weak.

00:16:50.780 That every bad actor looks at the commander in chief and says, this guy ain't going to stop

00:16:55.260 nothing. And so.

00:16:57.640 You know, as you noted, he said, well, even if I knew what I was going to do, I wouldn't

00:17:01.320 do anything.

00:17:02.760 Look.

00:17:04.640 I pray Putin does not use nuclear weapons, but that statement right there increased the

00:17:12.020 likelihood that he will.

00:17:13.200 And we need a commander in chief.

00:17:14.920 I agree you don't say exactly what the consequences are, but a commander in chief looks in the

00:17:20.020 TV camera and says using nuclear weapons in Europe would be an extraordinary escalation

00:17:27.720 and the consequences would be devastating.

00:17:31.900 It would be devastating to Putin, to Russia, to the regime.

00:17:36.840 Under no circumstances will the world sit by and watch a Russian dictator use a nuclear

00:17:45.560 weapon.

00:17:46.160 That's what a commander in chief says, not some some.

00:17:50.220 You know what?

00:17:50.920 It reminds me of who's the the little old guy in the Simpsons who's always getting killed

00:17:56.240 like the little bald guy.

00:17:58.380 Right.

00:17:59.040 I can't remember the name of that character.

00:18:00.880 I forget his name, too.

00:18:01.920 But that's who Biden seemed like, don't we need strength in the Oval Office.

00:18:07.780 That ain't it.

00:18:08.800 Now, I remember after Biden's completely botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, you said on this

00:18:15.600 show that the way in which America pulled out of Afghanistan makes an invasion of Ukraine

00:18:20.760 by Russia much more likely and an invasion of Taiwan by China much more likely.

00:18:27.660 That's the next question that Joe Biden gets asked.

00:18:30.260 Here's what he says about a potential Chinese further takeover of Taiwan.

00:18:35.120 What should Chinese President Xi know about your commitment to Taiwan?

00:18:42.360 We agree with what we signed on to a long time ago and that there's a one China policy 0.99

00:18:48.160 and Taiwan makes their own judgments about their independence.

00:18:51.540 We are not moving.

00:18:53.000 We're not encouraging their being independent.

00:18:55.260 We're not.

00:18:55.800 That's their decision.

00:18:57.240 But would U.S. forces defend the island?

00:18:59.540 Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack.

00:19:03.140 After our interview, a White House official told us U.S. policy has not changed.

00:19:09.220 Officially, the U.S. will not say whether American forces would defend Taiwan.

00:19:15.180 But the commander-in-chief had a view of his own.

00:19:18.540 So unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir, U.S. forces, U.S. men and women would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?

00:19:28.220 Yes.

00:19:28.600 So it's amazing in that interview how, as Biden is sort of babbling his answer, the voiceover just takes everyone and says, yeah, okay, never mind what he says.

00:19:37.780 The White House actually contradicts him.

00:19:39.880 And so now you've got this disagreement yet again between Joe Biden and the White House, whatever that means.

00:19:47.340 You've got this question about what exactly America's policy view vis-a-vis Taiwan is.

00:19:53.400 There is this question of the one China policy.

00:19:57.020 Again, whatever that is, that phrase has been taken to mean different things at different times over the decades.

00:20:03.100 So two parts.

00:20:04.180 One, what is Joe Biden slash the White House actually saying here?

00:20:07.600 And two, do you think that their approach is the right policy to Taiwan?

00:20:11.200 So, look, nobody knows what the hell he's saying.

00:20:15.700 I've got to say, when Biden talks about foreign policy, I've never seen a president like this in my lifetime where he screws it up every day.

00:20:26.740 But, like, he just says things.

00:20:30.380 This is a guy you wouldn't let handle the remote control of your television set.

00:20:34.520 He doesn't understand what he's saying.

00:20:36.620 He doesn't know what he's saying.

00:20:38.180 Look, that voiceover is weird.

00:20:41.200 Think about it. 0.99

00:20:42.360 Have you ever seen a president of the United States interviewed and his White House staff had to correct and retract what he said mid-interview, not even afterwards, because they're like, oh, crap. 0.62

00:20:57.360 He just, like, fundamentally changed U.S. policy towards China and Taiwan, and he doesn't know it. 0.68

00:21:03.380 He has no awareness of it.

00:21:04.920 So it's one thing.

00:21:07.580 Look, a commander in chief has the prerogative to change U.S. foreign policy.

00:21:12.420 That's part of what a president has an ability to do, at least in significant respects, although Congress plays a major role in that also.

00:21:20.220 But watching that interview, listen, it's genuinely frightening because he doesn't appreciate any of that nuance.

00:21:29.260 We have an obligation by statute to support Taiwan and support Taiwan in the face of Chinese aggression.

00:21:41.240 The word support has a lot of flexibility.

00:21:44.180 We have never passed legislation.

00:21:46.880 We have never signed a treaty committing to send U.S. servicemen and women to fight Chinese soldiers to defend Taiwan.

00:21:55.540 We've committed to support them.

00:21:56.760 But what constitutes support, the statute deliberately doesn't define.

00:22:04.260 And Biden is just cavalier and saying, yep, I'd send U.S. soldiers to go fight.

00:22:10.860 You know, it's not like they're talking about fighting Grenada to fight the Chinese Red Army.

00:22:14.800 That's kind of a big deal.

00:22:16.900 Let's go to war. 0.81

00:22:19.200 And he does it with no appreciation of it.

00:22:21.540 But when the White House walks it back, it makes clear that the administration is incoherent on it.

00:22:31.700 And this actually, there are a lot of similarities to this discussion and the Ukraine Nord Stream 2 discussion.

00:22:39.320 This president and the Democrats don't understand the difference between deterrence and acting after the fact.

00:22:45.640 The best way to protect Taiwan is prevent China from going in in the first place. 0.99

00:22:56.080 And to do that means you want deterrence in terms of, number one, massive and cataclysmic sanctions on China,

00:23:05.740 such that the penalty the Chinese would pay makes them think again. 0.79

00:23:10.440 And using levers of power we have that are not sending our sons and daughters to die.

00:23:18.060 But secondly, preparing and equipping the Taiwanese to defend themselves.

00:23:26.100 You know, there's a phrase that is used by the military planners of that Taiwan should be a porcupine. 0.98

00:23:31.640 In other words, that, like, if the Chinese try to invade, there should be a lot of spines that they should be really eager to to put their tushy little derriere on top of. 1.00

00:23:43.140 That means expediting arms sales to Taiwan now. 0.82

00:23:48.280 And look, Taiwan is a wealthy country.

00:23:49.580 They have the money to pay for F-16s, to pay for advanced weapon systems, to pay for equipment so that if the Chinese military planners are assessing cost and benefit of invasion,

00:24:05.040 the Taiwanese are really robustly prepared to repel an invasion.

00:24:11.340 That's actually being smart and proactive on the front end.

00:24:15.780 Biden's not doing nearly enough of that.

00:24:17.820 And in fact, let me give you a very specific example.

00:24:23.780 So.

00:24:25.400 The people of Taiwan under Barack Obama, the Chinese government got mad because the people of Taiwan were allowing or the U.S. government was allowing Taiwanese government officials to have a Taiwanese flag and allowing Taiwanese soldiers to wear Taiwanese military insignia.

00:24:45.460 So the Obama administration passed a new regulation prohibiting Taiwan from displaying their flag on U.S. government property or from any Taiwanese soldier wearing a uniform.

00:24:56.960 It's bizarre.

00:24:57.920 It's the only nation on Earth that we don't let them wear their own military uniforms.

00:25:02.280 That was done in explicit capitulation to the government of China.

00:25:09.920 When Trump became president.

00:25:13.000 For the first three and a half years of the Trump presidency, unfortunately, the State Department kept that rule in place. 0.99

00:25:19.200 And I spent three and a half years basically taking a two by four to the Trump State Department to Rex Tillerson and then Mike Pompeo saying this is stupid.

00:25:29.440 We should allow our Taiwanese friends and allies to display their flag and their soldiers to wear their uniforms. 0.90

00:25:37.120 Three and a half years.

00:25:38.320 I beat them up.

00:25:38.840 I beat Tillerson up on it and then I beat Mike Pompeo up on it.

00:25:43.180 Finally, in the latter half of the last year of the Trump presidency, the State Department reversed its rules.

00:25:50.520 So Pompeo agreed with me, reversed the policy and said, OK, Taiwan now can display their flags and wear their uniforms on U.S. government property.

00:26:03.300 Biden came in when Tony Blinken, the new secretary of state, was coming in.

00:26:07.560 I questioned him about this at his hearing.

00:26:09.700 And he he said that they would maintain the current policy.

00:26:14.340 In other words, allow Taiwan to display their symbols of sovereignty.

00:26:17.840 What happens?

00:26:18.740 Blinken gets confirmed.

00:26:19.780 They flip the policy.

00:26:21.500 So now the Biden administration refuses to allow any symbols of sovereignty.

00:26:25.220 Now, I have passed into law now twice my legislation, the Taiwan symbols of sovereignty legislation that would allow Taiwan to display their flag and display and where and the soldiers to wear their uniforms.

00:26:39.900 The Biden administration stripped it out at the last minute of the legislation that that just passed.

00:26:45.480 And there's another bill that's moving that Joe Biden is actively lobbying, removing it.

00:26:52.580 I've been able to get both Republicans and Democrats in the Senate to agree with this legislation.

00:26:56.780 And yet Biden is so committed to appeasing China that he's trying to pull it out.

00:27:02.000 And so it's dangerous when there's this incoherence on policy on a matter as important and consequential as stopping and standing up to communist China and deferring Chinese aggression.

00:27:19.520 And I think this this this Biden interview just makes it worse.

00:27:23.060 Well, rather than answer any questions in sensible detail on his own foreign policy, Biden then turned the interview away from his own administration's views toward Donald Trump,

00:27:38.400 suggesting that Donald Trump imperiled national security by keeping classified documents at Mar-a-Lago for which Biden then sent the FBI to go go knock down the doors of the president's and now main political rival to Joe Biden of his residents.

00:27:54.920 Here's what Biden had to say.

00:27:55.900 When you saw the photograph of the top secret documents laid out on the floor of Mar-a-Lago, what did you think to yourself looking at that image?

00:28:05.740 How that could possibly happen, how anyone could be that irresponsible?

00:28:13.880 And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?

00:28:18.760 By that, I mean names of people who helped or et cetera.

00:28:22.620 And it's just totally irresponsible.

00:28:26.700 And you don't know what was in those documents.

00:28:29.840 I have not asked for the specifics of those documents because I don't want to get myself in the middle of whether

00:28:35.640 or not the Justice Department should move or not move on certain actions they can take.

00:28:40.760 I agreed I would not tell them what to do and not, in fact, engage in telling them how to prosecute or not.

00:28:48.660 So, one, was it really so shocking?

00:28:51.860 I ask that somewhat sincerely.

00:28:53.280 Was it really so shocking the photograph that the FBI released?

00:28:56.540 I have my suspicions about it, but I'd like to know your answer.

00:29:00.300 And then, two, what do you make of Joe Biden saying, look, I don't want to get involved here.

00:29:04.780 I don't want this investigation of Trump to look political.

00:29:08.920 Look, every part of that answer was an absolute crock.

00:29:12.420 Number one, is it shocking to see empty manila folders?

00:29:15.520 No, I've seen more frightening things in my life than that.

00:29:18.620 You might get a paper cut from it.

00:29:20.200 I guess that's shocking.

00:29:21.140 It is a little terrifying.

00:29:22.460 Scary.

00:29:22.680 You know, it's a little rich seeing Biden go on about how horribly irresponsible it was.

00:29:29.860 Without any acknowledgement, there was a certain person named Hillary Clinton who had tens of thousands of documents on a private email server that was subject to hacking, including potentially classified documents in violation of law.

00:29:44.420 And Biden was vice president in the administration that refused to prosecute her, that gave her a hall pass and said, never mind.

00:29:52.300 And by the way, this is a Hillary Clinton who also, in obstructing the investigation, they use hammers to shatter cell phones and destroy evidence. 0.99

00:30:01.460 They use equipment to wipe hard drives clean to obstruct from from the investigation. 0.69

00:30:08.460 And so the blazing hypocrisy.

00:30:10.160 And by the way, we've also talked about on on on this podcast how every president after the presidency retains documents.

00:30:17.540 And there's a back and forth with getting the documents back in the archives and it takes it takes months and it takes years.

00:30:23.640 And Obama had thousands of documents that still haven't been submitted back.

00:30:27.320 And so the weaponization and politicization over a document production question is, is, is, I think, quite absurd.

00:30:37.340 But for me, the most priceless part of that exchange was the the self-righteous.

00:30:44.320 I would never put myself in whether my Department of Justice should go after him.

00:30:51.440 What an utter crock.

00:30:54.280 But I point out two facts.

00:30:56.540 Number one, when Joe Biden was vice president on January 5th, he participated.

00:31:02.500 This is 2017 in an Oval Office meeting with Barack Obama, where he suggested to the Department of Justice that they go after Michael Flynn,

00:31:13.740 and then Donald Trump's incoming national security adviser under the Logan Act, because Michael Flynn, the incoming national security adviser, had had a conversation with a foreign leader.

00:31:24.640 Mind you, every national security adviser in the history of the country has had lots of conversations with foreign leaders because that's their friggin job to have conversations with foreign leaders.

00:31:33.160 But it was Biden who suggested go prosecute them and who also signed off on and, by the way, keep this entire prosecution and persecution secret from the incoming president.

00:31:45.260 So that is in writing.

00:31:47.060 Sally Yates, the deputy attorney general, her notes show it was Biden's idea to do this.

00:31:52.120 So you want to talk about someone who's personally directed the weaponization of DOJ against the Trump administration.

00:31:58.940 Joe Biden's right at the top of that list.

00:32:00.740 And secondly, at present, as president, he is repeatedly called on.

00:32:06.940 You know, I think the Department of Justice needs to be tougher going after Trump.

00:32:10.060 He's calling for them publicly.

00:32:13.080 You know, it's like the classic, you know, who will rid me of this troublesome cleric?

00:32:17.060 He's just calling out loud.

00:32:19.000 And if only there's a Department of Justice or an FBI that might listen and send, say, 50 agents to raid the guy's house.

00:32:26.180 But I don't know about it.

00:32:28.020 I just publicly mused.

00:32:29.440 Wouldn't it be nice if they did it?

00:32:31.700 What a crock.

00:32:34.100 Yeah, of course.

00:32:34.960 Of course.

00:32:35.600 And to say this is not political is, you know, strains credulity.

00:32:41.160 It's beyond the point of absurdity.

00:32:43.100 And yet and yet there is a question about whether or not Biden will run in 2024.

00:32:48.480 Biden thus far has said, yes, I am running.

00:32:51.540 Biden has filed the paperwork to run.

00:32:53.840 You have said on this podcast, Biden's not going to run.

00:32:57.780 He can't run.

00:32:59.620 Biden, for the first time, I think, when asked this question, starts to open the door to not running in 2024.

00:33:07.020 Are you committed to running again or are there certain conditions that have to be right?

00:33:12.880 Look, if I were to say to you, I'm running again, all of a sudden a whole range of things come into play that I have requirements I have to change and move and do.

00:33:21.140 In terms of election laws.

00:33:22.300 In terms of election laws.

00:33:23.840 And it's much too early to make that kind of decision.

00:33:27.000 I am a great respecter of fate.

00:33:29.360 And so what I'm doing is I'm doing my job.

00:33:31.620 I'm going to do that job.

00:33:32.600 And within the time frame that makes sense after this next election cycle here, going into next year, make a judgment of what to do.

00:33:40.620 You say that it's much too early to make that decision.

00:33:44.380 I take it the decision has not been made in your own head.

00:33:47.340 Look, my intention, as I said, to begin with is that I would run again.

00:33:52.920 But it's just an intention.

00:33:54.380 But is it a firm decision that I run again?

00:33:57.240 That remains to be seen.

00:33:58.900 How would you say your mental focus is?

00:34:02.040 Well, it's focused.

00:34:04.700 I think it's I haven't.

00:34:06.660 Look, I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself, my own head, the number of years.

00:34:13.140 I no more think of myself as being as old as I am than fly.

00:34:17.820 I mean, it's just not.

00:34:20.220 I haven't observed anything in terms of there's not things I don't do now that I did before, whether it's physical or mental or anything else.

00:34:29.680 Mr. President.

00:34:31.140 You are the oldest president ever.

00:34:34.000 Pretty good shape, huh?

00:34:35.420 Which leads to my next question.

00:34:37.240 You are more aware of this than anyone.

00:34:39.760 One, some people ask whether you are fit for the job.

00:34:44.660 And when you hear that, I wonder what you think.

00:34:48.660 Watch me.

00:34:52.260 Not great advice, I think, if Joe Biden's trying to garner support.

00:34:56.120 But your take on that, Senator, reading between the lines.

00:34:59.560 Is the guy running in 2024?

00:35:01.360 No.

00:35:02.800 No way.

00:35:03.680 All right.

00:35:03.920 So there are lots of different elements of that.

00:35:05.560 So let's unpack that.

00:35:06.600 Um, so first of all, he starts out with blatantly false legal advice.

00:35:15.400 And I recognize Joe Biden was never a very good lawyer, but but he really showed that there.

00:35:19.960 So he says, well, there are legal consequences if if I say I'm running.

00:35:25.740 Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. is the incumbent president of the United States.

00:35:29.360 He has filed paperwork with the FEC as a candidate for president of the United States in the next election.

00:35:36.120 He is legally speaking a candidate for president of the United States in the next election.

00:35:40.380 He is raising money to run in the next election.

00:35:43.560 Everything about that is triggered because he is an active candidate raising money for that election cycle for the 2024 election.

00:35:53.000 Nothing changes if he says yes or no.

00:35:55.220 Now, what what Biden is is mimicking.

00:35:58.960 So Trump has said, if I say I'm running, that triggers things.

00:36:02.400 That's true.

00:36:02.900 It does for Trump.

00:36:04.020 Why?

00:36:04.460 Because Trump is not the sitting president of the United States and he is not a filed candidate.

00:36:08.580 When you file for a candidate, that does trigger limitations.

00:36:13.080 That does trigger a whole set of legal restrictions, all of which apply to Biden one way or the other.

00:36:17.800 So Biden's opening answer is just gobbledygook.

00:36:22.520 But secondly, and here's where I'll be oddly defending Biden in this respect.

00:36:31.000 I understand why he doesn't want to say, no, I'm not running.

00:36:34.900 I think the chances that he's running are zero.

00:36:37.840 He's too old.

00:36:38.960 He knows he's too old.

00:36:40.440 The party would lose its mind if he ran.

00:36:43.020 He's not up to doing the job now.

00:36:44.680 The idea that he would run again when he's one hundred and forty two, it just it ain't going to happen.

00:36:50.680 But I understand why a sitting president doesn't want to announce that.

00:36:54.720 If you announce I'm not running, you turn yourself into a lame duck a year and a half into his term.

00:37:01.440 That makes sense for him.

00:37:03.660 It is it is reasonable and rational for him not to telegraph.

00:37:07.360 I ain't running again.

00:37:08.520 So I think that's what he's doing.

00:37:14.480 But, you know, one of the things that makes perfectly obvious that he is that he's not running again is the Democrats are all openly campaigning.

00:37:22.120 They're at least for the top tier of the Democrats are Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren and Gavin Newsom.

00:37:29.500 All four of them are running right now.

00:37:31.380 They're stabbing each other in the back.

00:37:32.900 They're they're running around preening for the cameras. 0.57

00:37:36.020 The primary is happening right now.

00:37:39.680 And they all know it.

00:37:42.560 Do you think any of them are are doing particularly well or better than any of the others?

00:37:48.340 I think Kamala is doing lousy. 1.00

00:37:52.520 I think she's had a spectacularly bad tenure as vice president. 0.82

00:37:56.760 She came in as the prohibitive favorite like a year and a half ago. 0.93

00:38:03.220 There was an argument that she would even clear the field potentially as the sitting vice president for the Democratic president who's African-American, who's female. 1.00

00:38:11.880 I mean, that the Democrats are such bean counters and and so into identity politics that that on paper, you're like, wow, can can how could anyone even run against her?

00:38:24.500 She screwed things up so badly for so long that they're all sharpening their knives and they've decided to forget about it.

00:38:31.240 Buttigieg was the earliest.

00:38:32.780 So early on, you had the Harris Buttigieg jabbing back and forth.

00:38:37.320 The most recent entrant to the field is Newsom, whose ambition is just bursting off.

00:38:44.360 He's, you know, I think the most dangerous place in California right now might be between Gavin Newsom and a TV camera.

00:38:53.500 And then Warren.

00:38:55.040 So Warren doesn't get talked about that much.

00:38:57.200 But to my mind, Warren is a dark horse in this field because she still represents the id of the hardcore progressive socialist Marxist left.

00:39:12.180 And.

00:39:15.020 That can be potent in a Democrat primary, so I think they're they're leaning in more and more.

00:39:19.360 I will say the tail end of Biden, are you too old?

00:39:22.240 And he says, just watch me.

00:39:24.780 Like we have been, dude, like like.

00:39:27.200 Yeah, you shake hair, hands with the empty air.

00:39:31.640 You talk to the Easter bunny.

00:39:33.140 You get confused, like tying your shoes.

00:39:36.160 That that that that's the problem.

00:39:39.060 You screw up.

00:39:40.520 You commit to to invading China to defend Taiwan just as a slip of the tongue that your own staff has to correct mid interview.

00:39:47.640 That.

00:39:49.220 Let me just engage an understatement.

00:39:51.920 Does not suggest the maximum level of competence.

00:39:55.460 Mm hmm.

00:39:56.980 Very diplomatic.

00:39:59.000 Speaking of Biden's who have made a mess of things overseas.

00:40:03.120 He did address his son.

00:40:06.620 The Hunter Biden issue has gotten worse and worse and worse.

00:40:10.460 There's something like 12 to 17 percent of people who voted for Joe Biden in 2020.

00:40:14.360 Later told pollsters that had they known about Hunter Biden's crimes, had the Hunter Biden lap stop story not been suppressed by the entire big tech establishment, they would not have voted for Joe Biden.

00:40:26.440 And this is clearly a big liability for him if the story can get out, not just about the hookers and the drugs, but also the business dealings, the trading of U.S. influence.

00:40:36.760 And so Biden was asked about Hunter here.

00:40:40.020 Here's his answer.

00:40:41.160 President, if you run again, Republicans are most likely to go after your son, Hunter, once again.

00:40:49.660 And I wonder what you would like to say about your son and whether any of his troubles have caused conflicts for you or for the United States.

00:41:04.600 I love my son.

00:41:06.240 Number one.

00:41:08.320 He fought an addiction problem.

00:41:11.080 He overcame it.

00:41:12.000 He wrote about it.

00:41:12.880 And no, there's not a single thing that I've observed at all from that would affect me or the United States relative to my son, Hunter.

00:41:23.220 Fair answer, Senator.

00:41:25.540 Oh, look, I understand why Biden gave that answer.

00:41:29.860 That's an answer probably a lot of fathers would give.

00:41:33.600 The real indictment is CBS.

00:41:37.780 That they took that answer.

00:41:39.220 They just says, well, gosh, meanies are saying mean things about your son.

00:41:44.500 Anything you want to say.

00:41:46.340 I love my son.

00:41:47.520 Oh, OK, thank you.

00:41:48.720 Thank you.

00:41:49.060 I appreciate that's hard hitting news.

00:41:51.020 OK, like like look, the guy has videoed himself committing multiple felonies.

00:41:56.380 When you have crack cocaine and you're with prostitutes waving a gun around that like violates so many laws. 0.97

00:42:02.780 It's difficult to to to to to catalog this Biden Department of Justice doesn't enforce the laws with respect to him.

00:42:11.180 And that doesn't even begin to touch the corruption, the deals with with Ukraine.

00:42:16.260 Look, verdict started out talking about burisma and impeachment.

00:42:19.640 All of that now is ancient history, getting paid eighty three thousand dollars a month by Ukrainian natural gas company.

00:42:27.600 When you don't when you don't know anything about Ukraine or natural gas, that's reeks of corruption.

00:42:34.640 I think this is really the point here, Senator, because, you know, if Biden just gave the answer and said, look, I love my son. 0.81

00:42:40.720 He's a drug addict, degenerate, but hopefully he's cleaning up his life.

00:42:43.900 I think people would move on. 0.97

00:42:45.160 It's that last part.

00:42:46.120 Yeah.

00:42:46.480 And nothing whatsoever affects the United States or my presidency or administration.

00:42:51.140 And you think, well, putting, you know, the drugs and the women and wine, women and song aside when you're when you're being paid off,

00:42:58.060 when your son is getting a major payoff from a corrupt government, when you are you then the vice president or the point person on U.S.

00:43:06.860 relations with that government to say nothing of Hunter Biden's business dealings in China and elsewhere around the world.

00:43:13.520 That actually does affect the United States and that does affect your presidency.

00:43:17.040 It very much does.

00:43:18.920 And you look at China and Hunter's investments where, you know, Joe Biden is now selling oil from from our strategic petroleum reserve to China,

00:43:29.020 including Chinese state owned companies that Hunter's firm was a major investor and shareholder in. 0.96

00:43:36.280 And that's a big damn deal. 0.68

00:43:38.320 You know, the the what it says on the laptop, 10 percent for the big guy, meaning Joe Biden on its face. 0.98

00:43:44.160 That screams corruption.

00:43:47.780 Merrick Garland and this politicized DOJ won't investigate it.

00:43:51.440 They won't.

00:43:52.000 And what should have happened, they need to appoint a special counsel because there's no credibility of a fair and impartial investigation.

00:43:59.360 And again, I'm not going to fault Joe for trying to defend his son and trying to dismiss it.

00:44:07.260 That's that's what any parent would do.

00:44:10.160 But there is a responsibility for a journalist actually to have facts like the question isn't so it's supposed to be why are there so many Republican meanies?

00:44:22.660 And that's basically what CBS's question was.

00:44:25.120 I thought that was they ought to teach that question in journalism schools.

00:44:30.560 Here's how to flunk the job of a journalist.

00:44:33.240 Now, before we get to the mailbag, Senator, I do want a little bit of a palate cleanser here.

00:44:38.560 We have been dealing with the leader of the free world, at least nominally our own leader.

00:44:43.140 I'd like to turn our attention to another American network TV interview with another world leader.

00:44:49.220 That would be the Iranian president who was asked about his views on the Holocaust.

00:44:54.600 Do you believe the Holocaust happened, that six million Jews were slaughtered?

00:45:05.820 Look, historical events should be investigated by researchers and historians.

00:45:13.340 There are some signs that it happened.

00:45:15.580 If so, they should allow it to be investigated and researched.

00:45:18.960 So you're not sure.

00:45:20.580 I'm getting that.

00:45:21.420 You're not sure.

00:45:22.120 What about Israel's right to exist? 1.00

00:45:27.800 You see, the people of Palestine are the reality.

00:45:30.540 This is the right of the people of Palestine who are forced to leave their houses and motherland.

00:45:36.620 The Americans are supporting this false regime there to take root and be established there. 0.80

00:45:42.020 Not a ton of pushback from Leslie Stahl there.

00:45:45.600 What do you make of the Iranian president's remarks?

00:45:48.100 So I think that is utterly disgraceful on multiple levels.

00:45:55.820 Let's start off. 1.00

00:45:58.420 Raisi is a mass murderer and a terrorist. 0.99

00:46:03.140 He is directly responsible for enormous number of murders, of tortures. 0.99

00:46:10.060 He has been one of the most repressive figures in this horrific regime for years.

00:46:15.720 He was appointed by the Ayatollah to that position despite a horrific record of human rights abuses.

00:46:22.300 Number two, he was allowed by the Biden administration to come to the United States, come to New York, to the United Nations.

00:46:30.280 He should not have been.

00:46:31.580 I've introduced legislation to block him from coming.

00:46:34.220 We should not be allowing terrorists and mass murderers into the United States.

00:46:38.440 But the Biden administration, every enemy of America, they treat with weakness and appeasement.

00:46:45.320 And this is yet another example.

00:46:47.720 Number three, it's particularly horrifying, this interview right now.

00:46:52.320 In recent days, the world was stunned with the news that a 22-year-old Iranian woman was captured by the religious police in Iran and was beaten to death for the crime of not wearing a headscarf.

00:47:12.700 She dared to go outside and she wasn't covering her face the way the Islamic radicals insist. 0.97

00:47:20.120 And the religious police arrested her and beat her to death.

00:47:27.040 Within hours of that happening, an American journalist on CBS, Leslie Stahl, is sitting there compliantly bleeding like a sheep wearing a headscarf. 0.97

00:47:40.040 That's disgusting.

00:47:42.700 Did she ask about what happened?

00:47:46.760 No.

00:47:47.400 And then the final bit, to end with Raisi engaging in Holocaust denial.

00:47:58.320 Well, historians should debate and examine to see if there's evidence.

00:48:02.900 The Holocaust is one of, if not the most horrific event in all of human history.

00:48:08.340 The systematic extermination of six million Jews and attempted genocide.

00:48:14.260 You don't think there's evidence?

00:48:15.580 Go to Auschwitz. 0.82

00:48:16.780 Go to the concentration camp. 0.79

00:48:19.080 Read the diary of Anne Frank.

00:48:21.040 Examine the horror.

00:48:23.940 And to see CBS.

00:48:25.540 Oh, okay.

00:48:26.860 Well, that's of you.

00:48:28.180 Yeah.

00:48:28.780 Oh, okay. 0.99

00:48:29.520 And to sit there while this monster spews anti-Semitic filth on CBS. 0.96

00:48:39.840 CBS, there are not words to describe the abdication of responsibility. 0.99

00:48:51.420 Leslie Stahl should be ashamed and CBS should be ashamed that they're willing to kiss up to a monster and a tyrant. 0.99

00:49:01.860 Oh, so much for a palate cleanser. 0.99

00:49:03.420 You know, I guess the president of Iran generally is not much of a palate cleanser.

00:49:06.900 Before we go, I know it's a long episode, but I do want to get to some of our wonderful listeners in the mailbag.

00:49:12.420 Question from Andrew.

00:49:14.300 Were the Martha's Vineyard Plains a good one-time stunt?

00:49:19.340 Or should GOP governors keep up the migrant buses and flights to left-wing cities as a long-term strategy?

00:49:27.880 Keep it up over and over and over again.

00:49:31.180 As you know, I introduced legislation to do this a year ago.

00:49:34.240 I've been calling on Republicans to do this a year ago.

00:49:38.100 I'm very glad Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis took my advice and carried it out.

00:49:44.380 It was the right thing to do.

00:49:45.540 It's totally transformed the debate.

00:49:47.960 But rich leftist socialists lost their minds when 50 illegal immigrants showed up at Martha's Vineyard. 1.00

00:49:55.740 Tomorrow, we ought to send 100.

00:49:57.000 The next day, we ought to send 200, then 500, then 1,000.

00:50:00.380 The volume is so massive.

00:50:04.200 And listen, the reason to do it, I mean, it has been amazing watching the media and all these blue checkmark activists losing their minds. 0.70

00:50:11.940 And they're saying, oh, DeSantis and Abbott are engaged in human trafficking.

00:50:15.760 No.

00:50:16.420 It's a humanitarian crisis.

00:50:17.640 It is not human trafficking to ask somebody, would you like to go to Martha's Vineyard?

00:50:23.780 I will fly you for free there.

00:50:25.900 That's not called human trafficking.

00:50:28.120 Martha's Vineyard is, I've actually never been, so I don't really know what Martha's Vineyard is.

00:50:41.900 But from everything I see, it's a really fancy place.

00:50:44.640 I know the Obamas have a $12 million home there.

00:50:46.660 So it's a bunch of rich people, and it's presumably really darn nice.

00:50:49.880 The reason to send them there is it's about the only thing that forces the corrupt corporate media to actually cover what's happening. 0.90

00:51:01.000 And it also shows the utter hypocrisy.

00:51:05.060 We talked in the last podcast about how the county executive in Martha's Vineyard, when I proposed this legislation, said they would welcome the illegal immigrants there.

00:51:13.160 They wanted to be a haven for them.

00:51:14.780 And I didn't know what I was talking about.

00:51:16.220 There was no border crisis. 0.98

00:51:17.160 As soon as they showed up, oh, crap, they declared a crisis. 0.96

00:51:20.800 But additionally, it forces the Democrats in the media to defend their incoherence. 0.95

00:51:28.420 What did they do in Martha's Vineyard?

00:51:30.780 Within 24 hours, they put them on buses and shipped them away, shipped them away to a military base.

00:51:35.160 You know, AOC tweeted out, said shout out to the people of Massachusetts and the people of Martha's Vineyard for demonstrating the very best of America.

00:51:47.160 And I did something I did something I don't do often.

00:51:50.380 I retweeted AOC.

00:51:51.580 I said, look, well, what did Martha's Vineyard do?

00:51:55.860 They deported them within 24 hours.

00:51:57.900 I agree.

00:51:58.580 Let's emulate Martha's Vineyard.

00:52:01.140 But the very best of American values.

00:52:03.020 I assume that means Texas can do the same thing. 0.95

00:52:06.140 Can we put them on a bus and ship them back to where they came from within 24 hours?

00:52:10.040 Can we get them out?

00:52:10.980 Look, the volume is crushing and all of these self-righteous virtue signals are ignoring what is happening.

00:52:23.700 This is human slavery.

00:52:25.540 To see lefties saying it was cruel and inhumane to send them to Martha's Vineyard.

00:52:29.240 Now, you know what's cruel and inhumane? 0.85

00:52:31.740 Hundreds of thousands of children being abused and sexually assaulted by human traffickers under Joe Biden.

00:52:38.400 You know what's cruel and inhumane? 0.91

00:52:40.660 Thousands upon thousands of women being raped by human traffickers under Joe Biden.

00:52:46.120 You know what's cruel and inhumane?

00:52:47.880 Hundreds of immigrants abandoned to die in the desert.

00:52:51.840 Pregnant ladies, old people, children dead in the desert week after week.

00:52:55.820 You know what's cruel and inhumane?

00:52:57.080 Fifty-three illegal immigrants dead in a tractor trailer of heat because of the human traffickers under Joe Biden.

00:53:03.860 You know what's cruel and inhumane?

00:53:05.400 Over 100,000 people dying of fentanyl overdoses because of the chaos of Joe Biden's open borders.

00:53:12.480 You know what's cruel and inhumane?

00:53:15.580 Thousands of teenage boys working for the cartels in every city in America because they owe thousands of dollars to the cartel.

00:53:22.780 You know what's cruel and inhumane?

00:53:24.780 Thousands of teenage girls in forced prostitution because they owe thousands of dollars to the cartel. 0.85

00:53:30.460 And you know what's cruel and inhumane?

00:53:32.160 A corrupt media that won't report on any of that.

00:53:35.860 But they suddenly notice when Buffy's tea time is disturbed at Martha's Vineyard, 0.94

00:53:40.980 we ought to keep doing that every damn day until they are forced to cover the human slavery disaster that Joe Biden is responsible for.

00:53:51.140 Hear, hear, 100% agree with the sentiment, I hope. 0.97

00:53:56.520 I'm so glad that the governors, some of the Republican governors, have taken the advice.

00:54:01.460 We need a lot more of it.

00:54:02.340 I totally agree.

00:54:03.280 We need a lot more of this show, by the way.

00:54:05.620 But I, unfortunately, cannot stay.

00:54:08.000 We've got to turn to our friend Liz Wheeler on the cloakroom. 1.00

00:54:10.820 Liz, what will you be talking about?

00:54:12.500 Hi, Michael.

00:54:13.120 Hi, Senator.

00:54:13.640 I don't know about you guys, but I feel super confident after hearing those videos in Biden's mental capacity and his mental acuity.

00:54:21.900 Very confident in the fact that he's not actively harming the American people with his impractical and unwise policies.

00:54:29.180 Yikes.

00:54:30.220 Over on the cloakroom, we are going to talk about something kind of exciting that happened just a couple days ago.

00:54:35.300 The Fifth Circuit Court issued a ruling on big tech that might lead to a showdown at the Supreme Court.

00:54:41.760 Big tech, of course, famous for banning conservatives based on our viewpoints.

00:54:46.960 The Fifth Circuit issued a ruling saying that corporations do not have a freewheeling right to censor speech.

00:54:56.020 So we are going to discuss what exactly this means.

00:54:58.840 Is it going to reach the Supreme Court?

00:55:00.420 How is the Supreme Court going to rule?

00:55:02.180 And what is the implication of this across the country, not just in the state of Texas, where the original law emanated from?

00:55:09.280 So you can join us on the cloakroom on Verdict Plus at verdictwithtedcruise.com slash plus.
