00:07:35.900Yeah, in 2016, it was the spring of 2016.
00:07:40.940And we decided we're going to keep the seat vacant and let the voters decide in November of 2016 who's going to fill it.
00:07:49.220And, of course, that ended up being filled by Neil Gorsuch instead of Merrick Garland.
00:07:52.580I think Merrick Garland seethes with resentment, and he used that resentment to fuel, let's go after the Republicans, let's target them, let's target Donald Trump, let's turn the Department of Justice into an arm of the DNC.
00:08:08.320And I think Kamala Harris and the Democrats were all eagerly on board with that.
00:08:12.460There's a strategy here, and if they didn't trust you to know that you were being subpoenaed and your records were being subpoenaed, and other conservatives were not going to be told as well, you mentioned that earlier.
00:08:22.160They said, no, no, we can't trust Senator Cruz.
00:08:24.340And I'm assuming that was just a blanket across-the-board thing because everyone knew how corrupt this was, and they would fight back instantly, I'm sure.
00:08:32.160But was this to spy to see who's working with who?
00:08:35.060Because if you didn't know what was happening, it may not be as much about intimidation as it was connecting dots, or was it to try to find something they could charge them with criminally?
00:08:44.000Explain the logic here behind Jack Smith.
00:08:51.320They were just trying to find evidence of wrongdoing and going as broadly as they could.
00:08:56.020And I've got to say, I used to work at the Department of Justice.
00:08:58.440I was an associate deputy attorney general back in 2001 when George W. Bush was president.
00:09:05.540The idea that you would authorize subpoenas for nine U.S. senators, for 20 percent of the Republicans in the Senate, or for that matter, for 20 percent of the Democrats, that you would do the opposing party, there has never been a Department of Justice that wouldn't, like, that would be willing to do that.
00:09:24.000That is an extraordinary step, and it's a sign of just how corrupt these folks got.
00:09:33.820They had, I think, an extreme partisan judge, Judge Boasberg, who has been one of the worst actors when it comes to issuing these nationwide injunctions.
00:09:58.240Yeah, there was a great clip, and you're going to hear Senator Grassley talking at the press conference, and then your comments also you made on Newsmax about it.
00:10:07.720That includes a hard line for Senator Cruz's office and a staffer's cell phone for former Senator Loeffler.
00:10:17.680So they tried to subpoena Verizon to tap the office phone in your office?
00:10:24.140Well, to get the phone records, and they also subpoenaed AT&T to get my cell phone records.
00:10:30.260And I'll tell you, AT&T did the right thing.
00:10:32.100They refused to comply with the subpoena.
00:10:33.980Their legal counsel concluded that it was protected by the speech and debate clause of the Constitution.
00:10:39.540But you know one of the things that is amazing, along with that subpoena they sent to AT&T, they also included an order from Judge Boesberg, who's one of these left-wing radical judges who's issuing nationwide injunctions.
00:10:53.240Judge Boesberg ordered AT&T, do not tell Cruz we are subpoenaing his cell phone records.
00:11:01.160And he makes a conclusion, he says, because I conclude if he's informed, Cruz will destroy or tamper with evidence and intimidate witnesses.
00:11:12.180That is utterly without factual basis.
00:11:14.920It is a complete abuse of judicial power.
00:11:17.440And I've called on the House of Representatives to impeach Judge Boesberg.
00:11:22.040The Constitution, when Judge Boesberg decided to become a partisan warrior and be part of the most egregious abuse of power, this is, Richard, this is Joe Biden's Watergate.
00:11:34.900And I believe the House should impeach Judge Boesberg.
00:11:38.000And I also think we are going to get to the bottom of every partisan who signed off on surveilling and spying on 20 percent of the Republicans in the Senate.
00:11:48.900That's what Joe Biden and their DOJ did.
00:11:50.960You just put that number into perspective, Senator.
00:12:10.600And let me actually read from the order that Judge Boesberg signed.
00:12:14.420He signed an order where he says, quote, the court finds reasonable grounds to believe that such disclosure.
00:12:23.260In other words, if AT&T told me that they were subpoenaing my phone records, that such disclosure will result in destruction of or tampering with evidence.
00:12:34.760Intimidation of potential witnesses and serious jeopardy to the investigation.
00:12:41.640Now, that statement, and by the way, I have no reason to think that that was unique to me.
00:12:46.680My assumption, although we have not seen the subpoenas for the other eight senators, my assumption is that Judge Boesberg signed it for all nine of us, that he was printing them out like placemats at Denny's.
00:12:57.920If you're a Republican senator, that's all he needs to know to conclude.
00:13:04.680The court finds reasonable grounds to believe that such disclosure will result in destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses, and serious jeopardy to the investigation.
00:13:17.960And let me say, if DOJ came and represented that to the judge, that is sanctionable.
00:13:24.860That's the sort of order you put in if you're issuing a subpoena for the mafia, for the mob, for a drug cartel, not simply the fact that, well, it's a senator of the opposing party, so we're going to represent to you that they're going to destroy evidence.
00:13:41.060I believe that the judge had absolutely zero basis to conclude that.
00:14:07.500It is clear this man hates Republicans and is willing to act on his partisan animus, and I think that is why the House should impeach him and the Senate should convict him.
00:14:48.640It's whistleblowers who have come forward with this.
00:14:51.040We wouldn't know without the whistleblowers.
00:14:52.960And I'll tell you an interesting little factoid.
00:14:55.960Sean Davis of The Federalist reported, he said, Arctic Frost, the codename used for this operation, was not a randomly generated codename, which is how these operations generally get their name.
00:15:10.760Arctic Frost is a cultivar of orange that thrives in Florida but can also withstand cold weather.
00:15:19.200The codename was deliberately chosen by corrupt federal agents because the entire purpose was to take down Donald Trump, the orange man who lives in Florida.
00:15:44.120And the reason why is because not only did I get incredible nationwide coverage, but I also saved money on my bill.
00:15:50.340And then the magic part of being with a conservative company is this.
00:15:54.820Patriot Mobile takes about 5% of your bill every month.
00:15:57.480And they give it back month after month, year after year, to conservative causes that fight to protect our First and our Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children.
00:16:08.420And they also stand with men and women that wear a uniform, that wear a badge, men and women in law enforcement, men and women that served in Iraq, Afghanistan, around the world.
00:16:17.060And they take care of families who have lost loved ones serving and protecting this country.
00:16:23.220That is why I made the switch to Patriot Mobile.
00:16:25.640Now, look, it's going to be amazing coverage.
00:16:42.460So stop giving your money to woke companies that are fighting against your values.
00:16:47.460You may not know this, but Big Mobile gives big donations to Democratic parties, organizations, causes, and even organizations that pay for abortions.
