00:01:44.660 girls that were killed and raped for sport, all because they were Jewish.

00:03:50.820 I want to just take a moment to give you a recap of what I have witnessed in the last 24 hours
00:03:57.580 as I have been in Israel.
00:03:59.780 And I can tell you that not only is Israel an incredible nation,
00:04:04.600 but I would encourage all of you to do a pilgrimage and to witness what life is like in Israel.
00:04:10.780 I was blessed to be able to do some incredibly hard things over the last 24 hours.
00:04:17.060 And this is not normally what this show sounds like,
00:04:20.160 but I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to be, for many of you, your eyes here on the ground.
00:04:25.500 I've been able to travel to the north, to the border with Syria and Lebanon.
00:04:31.100 I've been able to see where Hezbollah attacks from.
00:04:34.980 I've been able to tour the wreckage in the neighborhoods that were hit.

00:04:42.600 I also have gone to the complete opposite side, to the west.

00:04:51.640 where families were slaughtered, including seeing the home where those nine-month-old little children

00:05:02.080 I was able to meet with the victims and go to the site of the horrific attacks at the music festival,
00:05:08.220 where friends gathered just to dance and they were brutally murdered and taken hostage and raped by the radicals of Hamas.

00:05:21.680 met with the families where children were killed playing soccer,
00:05:24.200 and also met on the military base that was overrun at the border with the West Bank,
00:05:29.880 where girls were raped and then shot and executed, who served in the Israeli army.
00:05:36.000 What I have witnessed is pure evil.
00:05:38.840 What I have walked through in the homes is pure evil.
00:05:42.360 They came from a group of terrorists who were soulless,
00:05:46.380 and their only objective was to kill Jews.
00:05:49.220 I want to start by going to the tour of the kibbutz,
00:05:53.500 because it was the hardest place I think I've ever been,
00:05:56.980 the hardest thing I've ever witnessed,
00:05:58.920 to go into what is a neighborhood that would remind you of your neighborhood,
00:06:03.280 or the neighborhood where you grew up as a kid, maybe.
00:06:05.980 It was a genuine community, a community of families, by the way,
00:06:10.440 many of them that were related to one another,
00:06:12.440 where grandparents would live in one home,
00:06:14.660 where grandkids and their children live in another home,
00:06:17.920 where aunts and uncles may be down the street,
00:06:20.680 where cousins played.
00:06:22.060 I mean, when I'm talking about community,
00:06:23.240 I'm talking about a tight-knit community,
00:06:25.700 where they worked together.
00:06:27.560 And as I met with the victims who were there,
00:06:30.520 who toured and showed me their homes,
00:06:32.580 told me how they survived and how their family members,
00:06:35.140 many of them were killed,
00:06:36.280 there was one constant theme,
00:06:38.620 and that was a theme that these people came,
00:06:41.180 and they didn't care who they killed.
00:06:43.820 They just wanted to say,
00:06:45.060 I killed a Jew.
00:06:46.280 I sat in front of the house where those nine-month-old children were taken.
00:06:51.640 You may have seen that video that went viral of a mother clinging to these two children,
00:06:55.920 these two newborns, young children,
00:06:57.700 one of them, I mean, nine months old,
00:06:59.260 and hearing the story of how they were taken
00:07:02.080 and how the father was taken as well.
00:07:04.740 He came out to fight.
00:07:05.720 He actually talked to his wife,
00:07:08.040 and he said,
00:07:08.580 are we fighting or are we going to give up?
00:07:10.860 And she said, we fight.
00:07:11.940 In other words,
00:07:12.360 are we going to try to survive by not fighting?
00:07:14.880 Are we going to try to survive by fighting?
00:07:16.820 And he went out of the house,
00:07:18.000 and he had a handgun,
00:07:19.880 which was no match for the literally,
00:07:23.260 at one point,
00:07:23.880 hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of fighters
00:07:26.980 that came across the border from Gaza.
00:07:30.080 And he was taken by the terrorists,
00:07:32.420 and many others were slaughtered there.
00:07:34.180 Many of the children were shot and killed,
00:07:37.040 and the families were shot and killed in front of the door,
00:07:39.880 their safe,
00:07:40.740 their bomb shelter,
00:07:42.340 their safe room in their homes.
00:07:43.920 One of the things that was interesting about these safe rooms,
00:07:46.920 and every house had a safe room because you're so close to the border,
00:07:49.500 and there's so many bombings that happen,
00:07:51.480 is that most of the people did not have a lock on the inside of their safe room,
00:07:57.520 which for many of them became death rooms.
00:07:59.500 And you may say to yourself,
00:08:00.440 why would you not have a lock on your safe room?
00:08:02.240 And it was the question that I asked.
00:08:04.180 He said,
00:08:04.460 because these rooms were designed to keep us safe from bombs
00:08:07.440 that were exploding in shrapnel,
00:08:09.000 and you didn't lock them on purpose,
00:08:11.200 because if your home did get hit,
00:08:12.940 then others would need to come in and drag you out,
00:08:15.680 hopefully to safety,
00:08:16.800 to try to save your life.
00:08:18.700 The room was only created to help protect you from a bomb
00:08:23.720 that came in constantly from the terrorist organization Hamas,
00:08:27.640 that was backed by Iran.
00:08:28.780 And so the majority of people in these kibbutz
00:08:33.120 did not have a simple latch to keep that door shut.
00:08:36.280 One of the men that was one of the survivors was shot,
00:08:39.160 and he was saving his family's life,
00:08:41.220 and he was sitting beside the door,
00:08:43.240 having to hold the door shut,
00:08:44.540 as on the other side of the door,
00:08:45.660 the terrorists are trying to kill him.
00:08:47.280 There were many family members that were killed,
00:08:50.480 that were holding the door shut from the terrorists on the other side,
00:08:53.760 and eventually they just used their machine guns
00:08:55.600 to just put constant bullets through the door,
00:08:59.620 and they would kill the family that was protecting the children.
00:09:02.560 And then in many scenarios,
00:09:03.860 they would just set the house on fire and burn the children alive.
00:09:07.200 I want you to think about what I just said.
00:09:08.940 Imagine your neighborhood,
00:09:10.620 every house being invaded,
00:09:12.500 systematically door to door,
00:09:14.280 you're either drug out to the street and killed,
00:09:16.460 you try to fight back against hundreds of invaders,
00:09:20.160 which you're not going to win,
00:09:21.700 or you're burned alive and your children are burned alive,
00:09:24.860 or you're taken hostage.
00:09:26.520 That is all because they were Jewish.
00:09:29.080 Walking through this kibbutz,
00:09:30.580 looking at the pictures that were put at the front of each house
00:09:33.700 of who lived in that house,
00:09:35.440 it was heartbreak.
00:09:36.500 Seeing how the place had been, in essence,
00:09:38.680 left exactly how it was on that day.
00:09:41.960 Seeing the bicycles leaning up against the homes.
00:09:45.460 Seeing the tricycles that were pushed over outside the front door
00:09:49.680 where you would leave most outside toys.
00:09:51.880 Seeing the basketball goals and the basketballs
00:09:53.860 that had not moved since the day these people were slaughtered.
00:09:56.760 And going into the homes
00:09:58.360 and seeing where these people took their last breaths,
00:10:01.640 where they lost their lives,
00:10:03.320 and knowing what they must have felt
00:10:04.920 looking at the bullet holes coming through the doors
00:10:07.340 of their safe rooms
00:10:08.540 that were supposed to keep them safe from bombs.
00:10:10.580 And the kibbutz that I went into,
00:10:12.320 the worst part about it
00:10:13.780 was that nobody came to save them from the military.
00:10:16.960 They're the one kibbutz where the military didn't show up.
00:10:19.900 Now, you may ask yourself why,
00:10:21.160 and it was a question I did,
00:10:21.960 like, how is that even possible?
00:10:23.580 And what I found out from going to a military base
00:10:26.140 that was also overrun,
00:10:28.380 and the girls there went to their safe room
00:10:31.020 that was six in the morning.
00:10:32.440 There was 30 to 40 girls
00:10:34.860 who were serving in their military,
00:10:36.640 and only four of them were armed
00:10:38.500 because they were woken up by the attack.
00:10:41.440 And they were overrun by terrorists on their base.
00:10:44.520 They didn't have time to get into their uniforms
00:10:47.700 or even grab their guns,
00:10:49.480 so there was only four of them that were armed.
00:10:51.560 And they were huddled down,
00:10:52.940 and they were hiding,
00:10:54.020 trying to save their lives
00:10:55.260 on their own military base,
00:10:57.120 something they could have never imagined
00:10:58.360 was going to happen.
00:10:59.500 And many of their commanders
00:11:00.600 had already been killed outside
00:11:01.880 trying to defend the base.
00:11:02.980 They were being overrun.
00:11:03.840 And so what I learned was
00:11:04.800 is the majority of people
00:11:05.920 that were higher up in the military in Israel
00:11:08.580 were killed in the first hour of the attack.
00:11:12.100 And so then chaos erupted
00:11:13.640 because no one was giving orders anymore
00:11:15.880 because everyone that had the ability
00:11:17.540 to give orders had died.
00:11:18.640 Now, something that's interesting about Israel
00:11:19.960 is a little bit different than our military
00:11:22.160 is the commanders are always the highest ranked
00:11:25.480 at the front leading the charge.
00:11:27.780 They do not stay back to give orders.
00:11:30.440 And so the entire seniority of the military
00:11:34.660 in Israel was just decimated during this attack.
00:11:38.720 So some of the military
00:11:41.140 that was trying to respond to this cabal
00:11:42.800 took fire before they could even get close to it
00:11:46.120 from another conflict
00:11:47.740 and other warriors that invaded the country.
00:11:50.180 It wasn't that they didn't try to come.
00:11:51.520 It's because they literally couldn't
00:11:52.760 because they were then under attack
00:11:54.380 and engaged to terrorists,
00:11:55.260 and many of them were dying as well.
00:11:56.920 But what I witnessed on the military base
00:11:59.580 was so horrific
00:12:00.960 because the military command center
00:12:03.200 where the girls were inside
00:12:04.760 trying to get help
00:12:06.280 and talking and explaining
00:12:07.700 that they were under attack
00:12:08.640 and then the base had been infiltrated.
00:12:10.380 The people they were talking to
00:12:11.440 had already been killed outside of the base.
00:12:13.620 And what the terrorists did
00:12:14.780 is they burned them alive.
00:12:15.960 One of the young girls
00:12:16.680 that did survive the attack
00:12:18.060 talked to me about her two friends
00:12:19.600 that were found clinging to one another
00:12:21.660 as they burned alive
00:12:22.740 in the military command center.
00:12:24.360 She also told the story of how
00:12:26.120 when the terrorists found the young soldiers,
00:12:29.020 they're 18 years old girls,
00:12:30.720 in the shelter,
00:12:31.880 they started to grin

00:12:36.380 because they knew
00:12:37.540 that they had found them
00:12:38.640 and then they could massacre them.
00:12:40.540 They then turned their guns
00:12:41.700 on these girls
00:12:42.460 all in the shelter
00:12:43.560 and just started executing them.
00:12:45.540 The four girls
00:12:46.320 that had guns shot back.
00:12:48.220 They then retreated a little bit
00:12:49.840 and then started to throw in hand grenades
00:12:51.560 to blow them up.
00:12:52.580 The majority of these girls
00:12:53.500 were in their pajamas.
00:12:55.280 Why were they being killed?
