00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:04.980 Tom Homan up there, I think, is just a stroke of genius.
00:00:08.200 I think Tom is exactly the right person.
00:00:10.760 Why?
00:00:11.080 Because he is also a career law enforcement.
00:00:13.480 He's an operator.
00:00:14.560 He knows exactly what needs to be done there and where is the give and take.
00:00:19.940 ICE is there to arrest criminal illegal aliens, and it's much better to do that with local 0.92
00:00:24.820 law enforcement.
00:00:25.480 So if Tom Homan can get local law enforcement involved in assisting ICE, however that looks,
00:00:32.000 whether that's protecting them while they do the mission, whatever it might be, I think
00:00:35.520 that's a win.
00:00:36.260 You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
00:00:40.340 Good Tuesday morning.
00:00:41.280 Nice to have you with us on the 47 Morning Update.
00:00:44.240 Donald Trump acts and takes a phone call from the governor of Minnesota, Governor Walz.
00:00:50.360 Trump says he wants Minnesota resistance and chaos to end today.
00:00:54.780 He also said that he's hoping now there will be some sort of cooperation with the governor
00:00:59.840 and federal law enforcement.
00:01:02.440 So what is driving all of this?
00:01:04.640 We'll explain it to you.
00:01:06.060 Before we get to that, though, can you buy real Bitcoin in your retirement account?
00:01:11.280 If not, it's time to upgrade to Bitcoin IRA.
00:01:15.100 You can buy and sell Bitcoin with major tax advantages.
00:01:21.160 Visit BitcoinIRA.com slash Ben to learn more right now.
00:01:27.360 That's BitcoinIRA.com slash Ben or call 866-679-7871.
00:01:37.940 That's 866-679-7871.
00:01:42.440 It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now.
00:01:46.180 Story number one.
00:01:47.680 It is an all-out civil war.
00:01:49.580 That's what the Democrats said they wanted in Minnesota.
00:01:52.800 But now Tim Walz has called President Donald Trump, and here's what we've been told about
00:01:58.060 that conversation.
00:01:59.800 Donald Trump putting up on True Social.
00:02:02.580 The governor, Tim Walz, called me with a request to work together with respect to Minnesota.
00:02:07.980 It was a very good call, and we actually seem to be on a similar wavelength.
00:02:12.020 I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Holman call him, and that what we're looking
00:02:16.720 for are any and all criminals that they have in their possession.
00:02:23.000 This is exactly, by the way, what hundreds of other cities do when they catch a criminal
00:02:27.680 that's an illegal immigrant, and then they work with federal authorities, ICE, to make sure
00:02:32.520 that they are taken into custody.
00:02:34.740 That's not what they do in sanctuary cities or states like Minnesota.
00:02:38.500 Back to the president's own words, the governor very respectfully understood that, and I will
00:02:45.480 be speaking to him in the near future.
00:02:47.820 He was happy that Tom Holman was going to Minnesota, and so am I.
00:02:52.240 We have such tremendous success in Washington, D.C., Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana,
00:02:59.320 and virtually every other place we have touched, and even in Minnesota, crime is way down.
00:03:05.260 But both Governor Walz and I want to make it better, signed President Donald J. Trump.
00:03:11.300 Now, that wasn't all that the president had to say on this issue.
00:03:15.820 He also, hours before that, put out this statement on True Social.
00:03:20.080 I'm sending Tom Holman to Minnesota tonight.
00:03:23.660 He has not been involved in the area, but knows and likes many of the people there.
00:03:29.260 Tom is tough but fair and will report directly to me.
00:03:32.640 Separately, a major investigation is going on with respect to the massive $20 billion-plus
00:03:38.420 welfare fraud that has taken place in Minnesota and is at least partially responsible for the
00:03:45.400 violent organized protests going on in the streets.
00:03:48.000 Additionally, the DOJ and Congress are looking at Congresswoman Ilham Omar, who left Somalia
00:03:54.760 with nothing and is now reportedly worth more than $44 million.
00:04:00.060 Time will tell all.
00:04:02.160 Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump.
00:04:06.080 Now, you put that together with the White House press secretary as she laid it out today
00:04:11.540 from the podium at the White House exactly what the plan is and what the president's had
00:04:17.640 to say about moving forward and keeping all Americans safe.
00:04:21.760 The president wants law and order, not anarchy and chaos, which is what Governor Walz and Mayor
00:04:27.560 Fry have given us.
00:04:28.940 Take a listen.
00:04:30.200 It is President Trump's hope and wish and demand for the resistance and chaos to end today.
00:04:36.320 That's why President Trump spoke with Governor Walz directly this morning, and he has outlined
00:04:41.300 a clear and simple path to restoring law and order in Minnesota.
00:04:46.060 Number one, Governor Walz, Mayor Fry, and all Democrat leaders should turn over all criminal
00:04:51.860 illegal aliens currently incarcerated in their prisons and jails to federal authorities, along
00:04:57.740 with any illegal aliens with active warrants or known criminal histories for immediate deportation.
00:05:03.800 Number two, state and local law enforcement must agree to turn over all illegal aliens who 1.00
00:05:10.560 are arrested by local police.
00:05:13.400 And then thirdly, local police must assist federal law enforcement in apprehending and detaining
00:05:19.240 illegal aliens who are wanted for crimes, especially violent crimes. 0.88
00:05:24.280 If Governor Walz and Mayor Fry implement these common sense cooperative measures that I will
00:05:29.840 add, have already been implemented in nearly every single other state across the country,
00:05:35.280 Customs and Border Patrol will not be needed to support ICE on the ground in Minnesota.
00:05:40.580 ICE and local law enforcement can peacefully work together, as they are effectively doing
00:05:45.360 in so many other states and jurisdictions.
00:05:48.260 Additionally, President Trump is calling on the United States Congress to immediately pass
00:05:52.900 legislation ending sanctuary cities once and for all.
00:05:56.800 American cities should be safe sanctuaries for law-abiding citizens only, not for dangerous
00:06:03.080 illegal alien criminals who broke our nation's laws and do not belong here. 1.00
00:06:07.460 We hope Governor Walz will do the right thing and continue to work with President Trump to
00:06:13.280 keep the American people safe following their call this morning.
00:06:17.100 Americans overwhelmingly want exactly what President Trump is delivering.
00:06:21.040 strong borders and strict immigration enforcement against the worst illegal aliens, of which there 1.00
00:06:27.440 are still hundreds of thousands to deport from the interior of our country.
00:06:31.700 The most peaceful way to carry out this vital public safety mission is for Republicans and
00:06:37.060 Democrats to do it together and for state and local law enforcement to work together with
00:06:42.920 federal law enforcement.
00:06:44.420 We want to let cops be cops. 0.95
00:06:46.480 You wouldn't know this continues to be a very popular policy position from the biased media
00:06:51.300 coverage over the course of the last few days.
00:06:53.840 But polling shows huge support for this exact thing President Trump is calling for.
00:06:59.280 More than 80% of Americans favor deporting illegal aliens convicted of violent crimes.
00:07:05.020 A country unable to deport criminals who enter it illegally is no country at all.
00:07:10.220 The open borders agenda of Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and the Democrats was already on the ballot
00:07:15.740 on November 5th, 2024, and it was resoundingly rejected.
00:07:20.760 President Trump will never back down from his promise to deport violent criminal illegal aliens 1.00
00:07:25.500 and make America safe again.
00:07:27.360 Now, Caroline Leavitt is absolutely right.
00:07:29.080 The president was elected to do exactly what he's been doing, and that is getting the worst
00:07:33.840 among us out of this country that broke into this country illegally.
00:07:37.440 And if you go back to exactly what the White House put out, they've made it clear and transparent
00:07:43.280 what they are demanding.
00:07:44.940 Number one, that Governor Walz and Mayor Fry and all the Democratic leaders should turn
00:07:48.980 over all criminal illegal aliens currently incarcerated in their prisons and jails to
00:07:54.800 federal authorities, along with any illegal aliens with active warrants or known criminal
00:07:59.640 histories for immediate deportation.
00:08:02.240 They also demand that state and local law enforcement must agree to turn over all illegal aliens arrested
00:08:08.220 by local police.
00:08:09.280 Now, again, this is all exactly what the laws state you must do.
00:08:14.180 The president is not asking for anything outside of what the state of the laws say in this country.
00:08:20.340 Number three, local police must assist federal law enforcement in apprehending and detaining illegal
00:08:26.220 aliens wanted for crimes.
00:08:28.340 ICE and local law enforcement can peacefully work together as they are effectively doing
00:08:33.980 in so many other states and jurisdictions to remove violent criminals from American neighborhoods.
00:08:40.020 There are literally hundreds of cities in America where what you're witnessing in Minnesota
00:08:44.020 is not happening because law enforcement is working together.
00:08:47.260 That's what it's supposed to be.
00:08:49.080 Many times when you see tragedies, what do they say?
00:08:51.620 They say local law enforcement and federal law enforcement are working together, right?
00:08:56.460 Local, state and federal working together, especially when you're dealing with criminals.
00:09:01.120 But these individuals like Governor Walz and Mayor Frey refuse to do this.
00:09:06.980 They put illegal immigrant criminals ahead of American citizens. 0.99
00:09:10.820 The other thing the president said, additionally, he's calling on the United States Congress
00:09:17.220 to immediately pass legislation ending sanctuary cities once and for all,
00:09:22.900 because he understands that every time there's a safe haven for these types of criminals,
00:09:27.460 it costs Americans their lives.
00:09:29.880 It allows them a safe haven to set up corruption and also to set up crime syndicates.
00:09:35.360 It also allows for illegal immigrants to steal from American taxpayers. 1.00
00:09:39.720 We've witnessed all of that in Minneapolis and the surrounding area.
00:09:44.720 American cities, he said, should be safe sanctuaries for law-abiding citizens only,
00:09:50.660 not for dangerous illegal alien criminals who broke our laws and do not belong here. 0.98
00:09:56.940 He said this, we hope Governor Walz will do the right thing and work with President Trump
00:10:02.760 and his team to keep America and the American people safe.
00:10:06.500 So it is clear now the president of the United States of America is saying, look, I am representing you.
00:10:12.600 Americans overwhelmingly did exactly that on election day.
00:10:16.160 They wanted strong borders.
00:10:18.460 They wanted strict immigration enforcement against the worst criminal legal aliens, 1.00
00:10:22.600 of which there are still hundreds of thousands to deport from the interior of our country.
00:10:27.740 You wouldn't know it, the president says, from the biased media coverage.
00:10:31.720 But polls show huge support for this very thing.
00:10:34.940 More than 80% of Americans favor deporting illegal aliens convicted of violent crimes.
00:10:40.540 The most peaceful way to carry out this vital public safety mission, the White House says,
00:10:46.640 is for Republicans and Democrats to do it together and for local and state law enforcement
00:10:51.840 to work with federal law enforcement to get it done together.
00:10:55.220 President Trump also saying he will never back down from the promise to deport all violent criminal
00:11:02.260 legal aliens and make America safe again.
