00:03:12.860 It's the 47 Morning Update and it starts right now.
00:03:16.780 Story number one.
00:03:17.960 Well, it is officially a war of words.
00:03:21.840 The Democratic Party coming all out saying that the deal that Donald Trump has agreed to with Iran, well, is a terrible deal.
00:03:28.840 It is a horrible deal and you should be disappointed in Donald Trump.
00:03:32.920 Well, today, Vice President J.D. Vance, he went on offense, defending the president's historic agreement with Iran.
00:03:40.460 And he laid out exactly why the administration believes this deal is a massive win for every American,
00:03:47.060 as well as for stability, not only in the Middle East, but also for the global economy.
00:03:53.000 Now, Vance made it clear from the beginning, this is not a giveaway to Iran.
00:03:57.780 That has been the talking points of Democrats.
00:04:00.000 He went on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News Channel, and he was asked about the Barack Obama deal,
00:04:06.720 and Barack Obama criticizing this new deal that Donald Trump has come up with.
00:04:11.580 And I want you to hear what Vance said in response.
00:04:14.560 Obama took a shot and said, I don't think this deal is any better than the deal we had before.
00:04:19.360 The JCPOA was dramatically different than what you were describing here tonight.
00:04:23.940 And I'd ask the president, the former president, I'd say, Obama, why in the world, if it's the same thing, why is it that the Gulf Arabs hated your deal and they love our deal?
00:04:36.260 They are the ones who are in the region. 0.56
00:04:38.280 They know what it means to enrich the worst terrorist regime in the world.
00:04:41.880 And they also know what it means to turn over a new leaf and to go to a different future.
00:04:46.600 So I think President Obama, he should acknowledge that the people who are closest to this, they love the Trump deal.
00:04:53.940 They hate the Obama deal, and that's maybe the biggest endorsement of this plan.
00:04:58.100 Now, in the interviews that J.D. Vance did, clearly trying to push back on the lies of the left and the media,
00:05:04.500 one of the things that Vance made very clear is he pushed back aggressively against the claims
00:05:10.000 that the United States is handing Iran literally billions of dollars just for signing the agreement.
00:05:17.520 J.D. Vance said that is not what is happening here at all.
00:05:20.980 And here's more of why he says the facts actually matter.
00:05:25.380 To the people like me that have been very skeptical of the regime for all these years,
00:05:30.760 number one state sponsor of terror, death to Israel, death to America, I'm skeptical.
00:05:37.140 If this is all true, Reagan talked about this in 85.
00:05:40.860 He said there might be an opportunity for peace in that region,
00:05:43.880 and it might be all of these countries finally getting along.
00:05:46.960 And you even expressed hope that that might be a result of this.
00:05:50.980 Well, again, I'll tell you, the Gulf Coast countries under the president's leadership,
00:05:54.500 they actually feel that that's possible.
00:05:56.260 They don't believe anything either.
00:05:57.560 They're not certain. 0.94
00:05:58.460 They're not going to predict what the Iranians are going to do five years from now. 0.89
00:06:01.180 But they see real opportunity. 0.99
00:06:02.700 So we're going to walk down this pathway. 1.00
00:06:04.080 We're going to see how serious the Iranians are. 1.00
00:06:06.000 And, Sean, you asked, what if they don't meet these obligations? 0.91
00:06:08.460 What if they don't do what they promised they're going to do?
00:06:10.660 Number one, they don't get any benefits of the bargain.
00:06:13.040 And as the president would say, we have all the cards.
00:06:15.540 Their economy will still be in very tough shape
00:06:18.000 if they don't get the relief that they need to get in order to make progress.
00:06:22.720 We're still going to have incredible military might.
00:06:25.880 We're still going to have diplomatic leverage over them.
00:06:28.380 We have the cards, and if they don't honor the commitment,
00:06:31.000 we'll figure out what to do when we get there.
00:06:32.940 Now, that was one of the biggest points that Vance wanted Americans to understand.
00:06:37.700 In his words, and as the White House put it out so clearly later in the day,
00:06:41.580 Iran does not get rewards up front. 0.73
00:06:44.780 Iran must earn any economic relief by actually changing their behavior.
00:06:51.280 Now, according to Vance, the sanction relief and any broader economic opening,
00:06:56.780 they're tied directly to Iran making long-term commitments to abandon any path to a nuclear weapon
00:07:03.480 and also allowing international verification to confirm their compliance at all times.
00:07:10.100 We are not giving them an American dollar, number one, true.
00:07:13.660 and number two did the u.s ever sign off on the qataris paying them that money no we've not
00:07:20.100 the agreement says they are not getting a single dime of american money that's just not what this
00:07:25.080 this is what the agreement does say sean is again if the iranians behave and if there are sanctions
00:07:32.180 relief and if the iranians are integrated into the world economy we would invite other countries not
00:07:37.480 us but other countries to invest in their country that's fine but only if they comply with the terms
00:07:44.180 of the agreement really we have an option here right the president of the united states has
00:07:48.940 given us optionality which is great for the american people step back for a second their
00:07:54.200 conventional military is destroyed their nuclear weapons program is destroyed the strait of hormuz
00:07:59.000 is now open now we have two pathways that don't go down toll free it is open toll free and that's
00:08:03.780 very explicit in the agreement. But now we have two pathways we can go down. Pathway number one
00:08:08.180 is the Iranian economy continues to be strangled. We don't want that. That's not our desire. But 0.54
00:08:14.080 in order for them to get pathway two, which is reintegration into the world economy,
00:08:18.460 they have to behave like a normal country. It's a very simple principle, actually.
00:08:22.460 And what's different about this than previous iterations of the Iranian government,
00:08:27.600 previous negotiations is, one, the president's negotiating from a position of strength.
00:08:32.040 But number two, we're actually talking directly to them.
00:08:35.140 I can tell you, Sean, if five years down the road they're going to honor that commitment because I can't predict the future.
00:08:40.180 What I can tell you is if they don't honor their commitments, they don't get a dime from anybody, the United States ever, but a dime from anybody else either.
00:08:49.080 Vance went on to explain that the agreement ensures that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon while simultaneously, as he mentioned, opening the Strait of Hormuz.
00:08:58.660 And the second point is incredibly important.
00:09:01.140 The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most critical shipping lanes on Earth.
00:09:05.060 We've talked about that on this show multiple times.
00:09:08.420 And a huge percentage of the world's oil supply, more than 20%, moves through that narrow passage.
00:09:14.160 Now, when Iran threatened the waterway and the conflict then escalated, the energy markets, as you know, panicked.
00:09:20.540 Oil prices climbed because traders feared a disruption of the global supply chain.
00:09:25.400 Well, now with the agreement, expected to reopen the Strait of Hormuz without tolls or interference.
00:09:31.080 Vance says Americans now can have security, and that is really important.
00:09:36.580 Freedom of navigation for ships around the world and the stability for the global energy markets,
00:09:41.720 that helps Americans as well.
00:09:45.320 Now, J.D. Vance also made it clear it was time to blast the media for literally selling the IRGC,
00:09:53.640 that's the Islamic Revolutionary Guard's talking points.
00:09:57.100 Again, the media is selling this, Democrats selling this for 24 hours.
00:10:02.160 And he already said this, the markets are reacting.
00:10:06.080 They know what the deal says, and they're not buying into what the media is selling you,
00:10:10.760 which is the IRGC's talking points.
00:10:14.300 And here's the thing. Yes, you're right.
00:10:16.120 Sometimes when, you know, information about this deal will leak out,
00:10:20.440 you'll have somebody on a propaganda channel in that country, in Iran,
00:10:24.720 who will say something that isn't true.
00:10:26.640 I think it's it's sort of expected. It frustrates me, too, but it's expected that some Yahoo is going to say something about the deal that is untrue.
00:10:34.580 What really bothers me and frustrates me and is unexpected when the American media literally picks up talking points and propaganda from the RGC that has no support in the text of the agreement that we've actually negotiated and no basis in reality.
00:10:49.980 This is good for the American people. The Iranians don't get a dime unless they behave and change their behavior. 0.99
00:10:56.020 and this means that iran will never have a nuclear weapon you say they don't get a dime 0.83
00:11:00.640 do they ever get an american dime a taxpayer dollar no so so number one first of all they
00:11:05.860 never get a dime of american taxpayer money ever full stop not even close what we have said is
00:11:11.460 there's a lot of economic benefit in the united states relieving a lot of sanctions and welcoming
00:11:16.500 them back into the world economy there's a lot of benefit they're not american money but there's a
00:11:20.580 lot of economic prosperity that can flow from that what the president said to them is we want
00:11:25.000 you to be a successful country but for you to be a successful country you've got to give up on this
00:11:30.040 threat you've got to give up on this desire to have a nuclear weapon and if you do that
00:11:34.400 the united states is willing to have a much better relationship now you listen to what jd vance says
00:11:39.300 there and he's assuring the american people that pallets of cash like went out under the obama
00:11:44.000 administration well that's not going to happen and what the trump administration is saying is that
00:11:49.620 peace through strength has clearly worked it's produced a framework that achieves several major
00:11:54.840 objectives. Number one being that Iran remains blocked from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Number
00:12:01.640 two, the Strait of Hormuz is reopened, protecting global commerce and lowering pressure on energy
00:12:07.640 prices. Number three, America is not writing a blank check to Tehran. Any economic benefits
00:12:14.840 are contingent on Iranian compliance. And number four, the agreement creates pathway to a more 0.91
00:12:22.760 stable Middle East without a prolonged military conflict. Now, there are still technical
00:12:28.660 negotiations ahead. In the full text, the agreement has not yet been seen by the public.
00:12:34.820 But what Vance said is the administration intends to release the text so the American people can
00:12:39.760 read it for themselves. A lot of this is because of how much the media has been pushing Iranian
00:12:46.200 propaganda. And yet again, President Trump showing that transparency is what his administration
00:12:52.620 is all about for the American people.
00:12:55.300 Next, story number two.
00:12:56.800 What a difference a diplomatic breakthrough can make.
00:12:59.980 And today, the financial markets are sending a loud and clear message.
00:13:04.140 After President Trump announced a deal with Iran,
00:13:07.000 aimed at ending the conflict and reopening the Strait of Hormuz
00:13:10.000 and restoring stability to one of the most important energy corridors in the world,
00:13:15.100 investors took politics out of it and they reacted immediately.
00:13:19.380 Wall Street surged on the news.
00:13:22.060 The Nasdaq exploded higher by more than 3%, and the S&P climbed 1.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped nearly 470 points as investors celebrated the prospect of lower energy costs and reduced geopolitical risk, as well as a more stable global economy.
00:13:44.200 and perhaps the biggest story for everyday americans happens in the oil markets oil prices
00:13:50.800 collapse now why does that matter because oil is the lifeblood of the global economy
00:13:57.280 when all prices rise everything gets more expensive the cost to fill up your car the price
00:14:04.200 of groceries shopping costs airline tickets and president trump knows that and for months
00:14:10.420 The markets had been pricing in fear.
00:14:13.960 What would happen if the conflict in the Middle East continued?
00:14:17.460 And if the straightforward moves remain disrupted or closed?
00:14:20.620 Roughly one-fifth, as you know, the world's oil supply moves through that narrow waterway.
00:14:26.020 And the fear of shortages drove the prices much higher.
00:14:29.460 But when President Trump announced the deal had been reached to reopen the strait and restore energy flows,
00:14:35.600 the traders immediately, well, they repriced the risk.
00:14:38.880 As you know, crude oil has now fallen nearly 5%.
00:14:43.080 U.S. crude oil has actually dropped more than 5% overall.
00:14:47.760 It's fallen to the lowest levels in months.
00:14:51.080 At one point, West Texas intermediate crude actually dropped below $80 a barrel for the first time since March as well.
00:14:59.580 And that's just not a number on a trading screen.
00:15:02.800 That's a potential tax cut, literally, for American families. 0.87
00:15:07.620 Lower oil prices can eventually translate into lower prices at the gas pump.
00:15:12.560 Analysts say it could take one to two weeks before consumers start seeing meaningful relief
00:15:18.180 as cheaper crude works its way through the supply chain.
00:15:21.940 But if you think about the ripple effect, here's what matters the most.
00:15:26.080 A family filling up two vehicles every week spends less on gas.
00:15:30.520 A trucking company spends less moving goods across America.
00:15:35.160 Airlines spend a lot less on fuel, and businesses then have lower transportation costs.
00:15:40.780 And when people spend less, well, they have less pressure to raise prices on consumers.
00:15:47.420 And that's why investors were so enthusiastic about everything that's happened the last 24 hours.
00:15:52.820 This wasn't just about ending a conflict thousands of miles away.
00:15:56.900 This was about reducing one of the biggest inflation threats facing the world economy.
00:16:02.360 Even European markets reacted with enthusiasm, with major indexes hitting record highs
00:16:08.140 as the proposed prospect of the U.S.-Iranian agreement not only lowered energy costs
00:16:14.000 but boosted confidence all over the world.
00:16:17.560 Now, Democrats are still trying to score political points, but let's be clear.
00:16:21.760 What we're witnessing right now is the economy looking at what the world's going to look like
00:16:26.920 when the deal is done.
00:16:28.300 Now, the markets, clearly, they're beyond excited about this.
00:16:32.660 And the judgment is simple.
00:16:34.420 The possibility of peace is good for prosperity.
00:16:38.140 Lower risk means lower oil prices.
00:16:40.660 Lower oil prices mean lower inflation pressure.
00:16:43.900 And lower inflation pressure is exactly what American consumers have been demanding.
00:16:49.360 After years of battling higher prices, it's really why Donald Trump was elected.
00:16:54.000 Well, the stock market they're celebrating today is liberals are crying.
00:16:59.460 The oil market is falling, and that means good things for everyone.
00:17:03.700 So regardless of what the Democrats say, what we're witnessing right now is this.
00:17:09.240 The markets are betting that this deal could mean cheaper energy, stronger consumer confidence, and a major economic win for every American.
00:17:19.480 In fact, that's exactly what the world markets are saying as well.
00:17:23.340 So yes, Democrats are going to try to score points and tell you the deal is bad.
00:17:28.200 But Wall Street and the economic markets, they're reading the fine print.
00:17:32.460 And what they're celebrating is a deal that gets Americans and the rest of the world moving in the right direction.
