00:04:28.080 The White House Press Secretary, Caroline Levitt,
00:04:30.540 shut down the prospect of a unilateral reduction
00:04:34.060 in an interview on Fox.
00:04:35.960 Here's what she said.
00:04:37.240 Let me be clear.
00:04:38.060 There will be no unilateral reduction in tariffs against China.
00:04:41.860 The president has made it clear.
00:04:43.160 China needs to make a deal with the United States of America.
00:04:46.120 And we are optimistic that will happen.
00:04:48.500 And when that continues, it will be up to the president
00:04:51.800 what the tariff rate on China will be.
00:04:54.320 But we certainly need to see a reduction in tariffs

00:06:01.460 We're celebrating the first hundred days of the Trump administration.
00:06:05.680 I was asked to come to the White House
00:06:07.460 to sit down with many members in the administration.
00:06:10.580 One of those was Tricia McLaughlin.
00:06:12.880 She is the assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
00:06:16.300 And we sat down for an interview.
00:06:18.660 And the big issue we talked about was obviously what's happening at the border.
00:06:22.880 Here is that conversation that we did at the White House in the treaty room.
00:06:27.160 One of the big issues that so many Americans care about right now
00:06:29.980 is the issue of what's happening at the southern border.
00:06:33.660 We have done a lot to secure the border under President Trump in the first hundred days.
00:06:37.740 But then there's the issue of all the illegal immigrants that are in this country
00:06:41.900 and how we're going to deport them,
00:06:43.660 especially those that are in MS-13 gang members and Trey de la Liga gangs.
00:06:48.280 This is still a major issue for safety for so many Americans.
00:06:52.240 So joining me now to talk about this is Tricia McLaughlin.
00:06:54.680 She is the assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
00:06:57.780 Tricia, it's a pleasure to have you here and to talk about this.
00:07:01.380 Let's go to the headlines and start there.
00:07:03.260 You've got this story of a MS-13 gang member who even his own wife was making sure
00:07:09.300 that his knuckles where they had the tattoo of the MS-13 gang symbol
00:07:13.660 was not on social media and some of her postings.
00:07:17.220 Then the media tried to say that he was not a gang member,
00:07:20.680 that this was terrible, that we kicked him out of this country,
00:07:23.320 and that we sent him to El Salvador, and they're demanding him back.
00:07:25.600 And now Democrats have gone all in on this.
00:07:27.380 Like there's delegations using taxpayer dollars to go and meet with this person,
00:07:31.860 not meet with family members and victims in this country,
00:07:34.740 those that have been terrorized, those that have been killed,
00:07:36.860 those that have been raped and murdered by this gang that is a terrorist organization.
00:07:41.040 And now we're also seeing lawfare and the courts trying to say,
00:07:43.460 no, no, no, President Trump, you can't keep Americans safe as well.
00:07:46.580 Exactly, Ben.
00:07:47.240 And there really is a concerted effort by the media and Democrats
00:07:50.240 to whitewash this story, whitewash who this guy is,
00:07:53.700 that he's some innocent Maryland father when he's anything but.
00:07:57.700 First and foremost, he is in the country illegally.
00:08:00.240 He had final deportation orders.
00:08:02.280 But let's go through the timeline a little bit to describe who this guy,
00:08:05.400 Abrego Garcia, actually is.
00:08:07.400 When he was initially arrested in 2019,
00:08:10.040 he was found, among other MS-13 gang members, decked out in MS-13 gear,
00:08:15.340 having different MS-13 symbols on it.
00:08:17.580 He was found with drugs and rolls of money as well.
00:08:21.280 Two separate immigration judges found that he was an MS-13 gang member,
00:08:26.740 as well as the Prince George's County gang unit.
00:08:29.120 Keep in mind, Prince George County, Maryland, isn't exactly some red haven.
00:08:32.680 It is very blue.
00:08:34.480 They found that he is in MS-13 as well.
00:08:38.240 Flash forward to 2021, his wife, his own wife, who, like you said,
00:08:42.420 was covering up his knuckles, filed a domestic restraining order against him
00:08:47.680 for slapping her, for ripping off her shirt, for pinching and scratching her.
00:08:52.180 She, in her own written testimony, said how she feared for her children
00:08:55.620 and tried to take them away from him.
00:08:57.880 And then, Ben, if I may, one more time, is in 2022,
00:09:02.300 he was pulled over by the Tennessee State Highway Patrol,
00:09:05.500 during which he was allegedly taking eight individuals from Texas to Maryland
00:09:11.540 on a three-day journey, on a three-day journey with eight people,
00:09:14.860 and there was not a single piece of luggage in that vehicle.
00:09:18.740 That reeks of human trafficking.
00:09:20.780 That is textbook.
00:09:22.340 And so we're left to believe that, oh, no, this is an innocent guy.
00:09:25.580 And by the way, let's be clear, the Biden administration,
00:09:27.740 the FBI said, no, no, no, just let him go.
00:09:29.520 Don't worry about that.
00:09:30.680 There's certainly more to the story,
00:09:32.340 and I'd love to hear more from the FBI and what went down there.
00:09:35.080 So you look at this guy, and he's over there,
00:09:38.120 and now the media has become like he's some sort of folk hero for them.
00:09:43.780 The Democratic Party is spending taxpayer dollars to go down there
00:09:46.660 and meet with him like he's a celebrity.
00:09:48.920 You have senators that are holding his hand like he's been persecuted
00:09:51.480 by the United States of America and demands to bring him back.
00:09:54.400 What, so he can deport him to another country as soon as he gets here?
00:09:57.160 Because that's exactly what could happen.
00:09:58.760 It's remarkable to me that this is the hill
00:10:01.240 that the Democrats and media are willing to die on,
00:10:03.380 that they have one small shred of any credibility left,
00:10:07.160 and this is what they're going to burn it on,
00:10:09.160 is this MS-13 gang member.
00:10:10.760 Americans should remember who MS-13 is.
00:10:13.800 It is a vicious gang that sex traffics, that human traffics,
00:10:18.440 that maims, rapes, and kills Americans for sport.
00:10:21.840 These are people who should not be in our country
00:10:23.780 and should be hunted down and locked up immediately.
00:10:26.980 You just look at some of the things that apparently were found on his devices,
00:10:30.760 and that's one of the things that I found interesting on the reporting
00:10:34.260 is you look at what they share, MS-13 gang members.
00:10:37.040 They share the pictures of beheadings, the butchering of humans,
00:10:40.940 and then yet they're trying to say,
00:10:42.200 oh, this guy's a victim who broke into America.
00:10:45.280 Anything but.
00:10:46.140 And that is, I mean, if you look at the crime on American streets
00:10:49.040 and the crimes by these illegal immigrant gangs,
00:10:52.080 so much of the time they're done by MS-13,
00:10:54.460 they're done by Trende Aragua,
00:10:56.020 they're done by these other vicious gangs,
00:10:58.380 they shouldn't have been here in the first place

00:11:04.500 they've been allowed to rain terror on American streets

00:11:31.500 are going to be victorious on this issue.

00:11:36.760 there is a clear mandate from the American people
00:11:39.780 that we need to get criminal illegal aliens

00:11:43.700 There was likely 10 to 20 million illegal aliens

00:11:50.600 Look, whether Garcia is in an American detention facility

00:11:54.820 what matters really is that he's locked up,
00:11:57.200 but I do think ultimately this will be sorted out.

00:12:17.160 and we guarantee due process under the U.S. Constitution.
