00:06:32.800 and others in the congressman's orbit, but were unable to substantiate the quid pro quo allegations.

00:06:43.820 broke the law by soliciting illegal straw donations from foreign nationals, destroyed records,

00:06:48.840 made false statements, smuggled cash, and acted as an unregistered foreign agent,

00:07:37.640 give them. You can't receive them. A straw donation is where I say, hey, Ben, why don't you give a

00:07:47.220 dollars and you say it's from Ben Ferguson. That is illegal. And if we do that, you and I have both

00:17:53.140 messaging from the Chinese Communist Party, doing things like trying to suppress any discussion of

00:17:57.960 Tiananmen Square, trying to suppress discussions of Tibet, trying to suppress discussions of the

00:18:05.180 genocide against the Uyghurs or the persecution and orvest harvesting the Falun Gong. All of that

00:18:11.680 they engage actively in college campuses. They also engage in espionage, and the people at the

00:18:17.540 Confucius Centers are spying in the colleges. Now, one of the very first pieces of legislation I ever

00:18:24.420 authored and passed into law, this was during the Biden administration, I was on the Senate Armed

00:18:29.000 Services Committee, and I introduced legislation that would bar money from the Department of

00:18:34.060 defense for language training to any university that has a confucius center on campus and that

00:18:41.040 legislation got bipartisan support actually got democrats to support my legislation we passed it
