00:47:16.020 And it ended up with a lot of little boys and a lot of little girls being trafficked in

00:47:30.800 And they had a problem because they wanted to avoid kids in cages.

00:47:44.840 But they wanted to avoid the bad optics of having kids in cages under Joe Biden.

00:47:50.900 And so what they did is they began releasing young people and releasing them to adults

00:48:24.340 In 2021, when the new Biden administration was struggling to cope with a sudden influx

00:48:28.160 of unaccompanied migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border,

00:48:31.860 the government repeatedly overrode the concerns of lower level workers who warned

00:48:36.620 about placing them in certain households.

00:48:39.100 Documents and interviews show, quote,

00:48:41.420 It does not appear safe for the minor to be released to a home environment that was not fully assessed.

00:48:46.480 A caseworker wrote about a child slated to live in a hostel-like home in Florida with at least three adults.

00:48:54.060 A few days later, an official dismissed the recommendation to reject the proposed guardian,

00:48:59.880 according to internal government memos.

00:49:01.880 At another facility in Pomona, California, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles,

00:49:07.620 more than 100 children that summer were sent to temporary guardians

00:49:13.420 who were issued denials early in the process by case coordinators,

00:49:17.740 according to a review of internal government data that tracks unaccompanied children,

00:49:21.940 emails and other communications, and interviews with caseworkers.

00:49:25.200 About two dozen more denials were overturned because of clerical errors

00:49:30.860 or issues such as missing fingerprints that were resolved, records show.

00:49:35.140 But many of the others were approved with scant details explaining why.

00:49:41.680 And stunningly, the Wall Street Journal couldn't determine

00:49:44.940 what happened to the children after they left the facility.

00:49:50.560 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have lost over 80,000 children

00:49:57.880 that came as unaccompanied minors to this country.

00:50:31.660 But in the Senate, the Senate will do none of it.

00:50:34.400 And the reason is the Democrats who are in the majority of the Senate do not care.

00:50:39.060 I've raised this issue repeatedly in the Judiciary Committee.

00:50:42.700 But Democrats in charge of Judiciary, we have not had a single hearing in four years

00:50:47.940 on the crisis at our southern border.

00:50:49.940 We've had multiple hearings on the Democrats' desire to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

00:50:54.840 We have not had a hearing in Judiciary on the 80,000 kids that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has lost

00:51:01.560 because the Democrats want to cover it up.

00:51:04.200 And listen, we know that some significant number of those individuals are in child labor work sites,

00:51:14.440 are being abused, are being physically abused, are being sexually abused.

00:51:20.440 If you look, for example, I'm going to go back to the Wall Street Journal article that says,

00:51:24.940 following an internal investigation, the inspector general for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,

00:51:29.720 which oversaw a network of shelters caring for unaccompanied minors,

00:51:33.840 found gaps in the process to screen temporary guardians.

00:51:37.000 It's it's said in February that 16 percent, 16 percent of records for children who were released to sponsors in March and April 2021

00:51:46.660 lacked evidence that a required safety check was conducted.

00:51:51.180 Quote, although well-intentioned, these sites were unregulated and unsafe,

00:51:57.760 said Neha Desai, the senior director of immigration at the National Center for Youth Law.

00:52:03.180 There was enormous pressure placed on the sites to rapidly release children from custody.

00:52:09.120 And the Biden-Harris administration pressed them to release at these emergency shelters.

00:52:15.120 Caseworkers were told to discharge children within 10 to 14 days.

00:52:21.080 And so they released kids without knowing if the people they were giving them to were dangerous,

00:52:27.560 without knowing what was happening.

00:52:29.380 And yet, tragically, the result is many kids suffered horrific mistreatment.

00:52:38.220 It is an election year issue.

00:52:40.880 And this is what I hope the Trump administration, the Trump team, I should say, is going to do,

00:52:45.680 is to lay out much of what we have laid out here for the American people to hear,

00:52:50.140 because it is such shocking news.

00:52:52.400 When you listen to the reports, and this is reports from our own government that are stating this,

00:52:57.140 people are losing their jobs because they're trying to protect the kids.

00:53:01.140 And they said, if you don't move them through the system fast enough for us,

00:53:05.660 then you can find another job.

00:53:07.840 You're done here.

00:53:08.680 I'll find someone else to do it.

00:53:09.440 It is politics over people.

00:53:11.280 And that is the consistent pattern of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

00:53:15.120 It's always, always, always politics.

00:53:17.140 And if people have to die, if women have to be sexually assaulted,

00:53:21.460 if children have to be brutalized, they're willing to look the other way

00:53:25.260 if they believe there's a political benefit for the Democrats.
