Verdict with Ted Cruz - Cruz Joins Bill Maher to Talk Free Speech, Wokeness & Antisemitism plus Fake News Spreads Hamas Propaganda

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.660 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.740 Senator, congratulations.

00:00:07.440 The book is out.

00:00:08.360 It's in the top of the list all over Amazon.

00:00:10.920 And for the audience right now, this is the book.

00:00:13.840 It's what you've got to go get.

00:00:15.200 It's phenomenal.

00:00:16.000 You can grab it on Amazon or wherever you get your books.

00:00:20.440 You're on book tour, as we call it, which is actually really fun.

00:00:23.840 And you got to go out to California into the lion's den,

00:00:27.620 which actually turned out to be like a petting zoo.

00:00:30.900 It was pretty shocking but really fun to watch you and Bill Maher

00:00:33.780 have conversations about this country in America.

00:00:36.960 And there was something that you said that I loved.

00:00:38.800 You said there's two different echo chambers.

00:00:41.540 Rachel Maddow, MSNBC.

00:00:43.140 There's Sean Hannity at Fox News.

00:00:45.220 And we need to talk to each other more, have a grand debate,

00:00:48.500 a grand conversation.

00:00:50.200 And Democrats and Republicans aren't doing that anywhere.

00:00:53.240 And that's exactly what you and Bill Maher did,

00:00:55.120 which was really fun to watch.

00:00:56.560 Yeah, look, it was a blast to do.

00:00:59.100 I think we need to talk to each other a lot more.

00:01:01.420 On the book tour, I'm going across the country.

00:01:04.440 So Thursday night last week, I flew out to L.A.,

00:01:08.380 got in late that evening.

00:01:10.020 And actually Thursday night, you and I recorded Verdict,

00:01:13.340 Friday's episode, with Rick Grinnell.

00:01:16.040 Yeah.

00:01:16.960 Who had been Donald Trump's director of national intelligence.

00:01:19.680 He's a good friend of you and me.

00:01:20.980 And we had, I think, a very interesting discussion analyzing the intelligence failures,

00:01:26.040 both for the United States and for Israel, that tragically led to October 7th.

00:01:31.540 And Rick is someone who's been on the inside.

00:01:34.320 I think he provided a really helpful perspective that you don't get many other places.

00:01:38.460 Not only did you get to talk with him, but then you go into this,

00:01:42.720 and how do you prep for Bill Maher?

00:01:44.580 I mean, I know this answer, but for people that don't,

00:01:47.500 you do things like The View, you do things like Bill Maher.

00:01:50.580 You've got to be ready for this to go two different ways.

00:01:52.880 It could be full-on, like, war,

00:01:55.120 or it could be what happened, which I thought was amazing for the audience,

00:01:58.560 which was a grand debate on ideas.

00:02:00.000 Look, you want, when you do a show like Bill Maher, or, you know,

00:02:05.120 and Bill Maher is kind of a hybrid.

00:02:07.900 I mean, they're straight-up comedy shows.

00:02:09.440 They're things like Jay Leno or Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel or Stephen Colbert.

00:02:16.160 I've done all of those shows.

00:02:17.940 For those, you prepare for The View, which I've done several times.

00:02:20.900 You prepare for combat.

00:02:22.400 You prepare for, I'm coming after you.

00:02:25.120 I've got a gotcha question.

00:02:26.360 I'm going to try to get you on something.

00:02:27.960 So you prepare for their coming at you, but you're also trying, you know,

00:02:32.500 there's a reason you do Jimmy Fallon and not meet the press.

00:02:37.840 Like, meet the press is fine.

00:02:39.040 You know, they're going to come after you and grill you,

00:02:40.620 and, like, a Sunday show is what it is.

00:02:43.060 A late-night comedy show, which now they don't have Republicans on at all.

00:02:46.340 They used to have Republicans on often.

00:02:49.360 Pretty much none of them do anymore.

00:02:51.720 You go on because you want to laugh.

00:02:54.040 You want to show your sense of humor.

00:02:55.540 You want to talk about your family.

00:02:57.960 You want to do something other than be grilled on the latest vote in the Senate.

00:03:03.520 What happens with the comedian hosts, typically, is they see it.

00:03:08.140 It's their moment to be Tim Russert.

00:03:09.520 They're going to grill you and have their glory.

00:03:12.000 So, Maher is different in that Maher is a comedian, I think, a very funny comedian.

00:03:18.120 But he also talks substance.

00:03:20.000 And so the show is sort of a blend.

00:03:22.280 Between the two.

00:03:23.320 And he brings in conservatives and liberals.

00:03:26.580 And in his panel discussion, he has conservatives and liberals.

00:03:29.640 And, look, I started the interview by telling him something.

00:03:32.720 I'd never met Bill Maher.

00:03:33.640 So the first time I meet him is literally when I step on that stage.

00:03:37.380 I had never spoken a word to him until I sat down there.

00:03:40.440 But I told him, I said, listen, I appreciate what you do.

00:03:46.200 I think you're funny as hell.

00:03:49.100 And you're an old school liberal.

00:03:50.820 Yeah, which is different than new school liberal.

00:03:53.700 Well, I said you actually believe in free speech.

00:03:56.700 And that's really damn important because the modern left has decided they hate free speech.

00:04:02.260 And Bill Maher has shown a lot of courage standing up to wokeness.

00:04:06.560 Now, the book, Unwoke, How to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America, his monologue every week is on different aspects of the book, Unwoke.

00:04:16.060 By the way, I will say something about timing.

00:04:18.380 So this podcast is coming out Monday morning.

00:04:22.120 The book was released six days ago.

00:04:24.660 It was released last Tuesday.

00:04:27.000 All week we've been at or near the top of the bestseller lists on Amazon.

00:04:32.860 This week, the New York Times bestseller list will come out.

00:04:37.340 My three previous books have all been New York Times bestsellers.

00:04:40.360 Although my first book, they left me off the list, even though I sold more than about half the books on the list.

00:04:46.180 There was a big kerfuffle and finally they added it.

00:04:49.100 So I will say if you're going to buy the book.

00:04:51.220 Buy it now to get to win on the list.

00:04:53.380 Yeah, but buy it today because it actually makes a difference to buy it today.

00:04:57.280 You can go to a bookstore.

00:04:58.320 Although actually when I was in L.A., a buddy of mine said he went to a Barnes & Noble in L.A., wanted to buy a book.

00:05:05.320 They said they don't have one.

00:05:06.340 They said, search your records.

00:05:07.820 Where can I find one in L.A.?

00:05:09.380 They said it was not present at any Barnes & Noble in all of Los Angeles.

00:05:14.380 Wow.

00:05:14.800 And you had to drive an hour away to Long Beach to find it in a Barnes & Noble there.

00:05:19.960 So the bookstores may be spotty.

00:05:22.920 Others are carrying them, but at least my one buddy's experience was not encouraging.

00:05:28.760 But you can easily go on to Amazon.

00:05:31.040 You can go on to Barnes & Noble online.

00:05:32.880 You can go on to Books A Million online and get it shipped to you.

00:05:37.180 You can get several copies shipped to you.

00:05:38.940 You can do your Christmas shopping early and buy a copy for your mom, for your friends, for your – buy them for your kids.

00:05:47.640 Yeah, it's a great book.

00:05:49.200 It's really long.

00:05:50.140 I love that, and I say long in a good way.

00:05:52.420 You poured your heart and soul into this.

00:05:53.720 This was a really important book for you to write.

00:05:56.180 We talked about this in a previous episode.

00:05:58.860 But it's about these grand conversations, which you and Bill had.

00:06:02.980 One of them was on the border, and I want to play this for people so they can hear your back and forth with him.

00:06:07.360 There's two parts of this show so people understand it.

00:06:09.520 There's this original sit-down where you and him are talking on stage, and they do overtime, which is the second part of the show that's on CNN.

00:06:16.500 First time you've been on CNN in years, by the way.

00:06:19.080 I haven't been on CNN in several years.

00:06:22.140 So it happened.

00:06:23.340 It happened.

00:06:24.080 So take a look at this.

00:06:25.400 Do Republicans have a good answer to address the border crisis other than bussing migrants to liberal cities? 0.98

00:06:30.820 Ooh, a little dig there, Ted.

00:06:32.340 A little –

00:06:33.500 It's actually very simple, which is secure the border, and when you apprehend someone, send them home.

00:06:39.980 When Joe Biden started, we had the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years.

00:06:45.240 And he came in, and he immediately reimposed catch and release, and it produced the worst rate of illegal immigration in our nation's history.

00:06:52.360 I spent a lot of time at the border.

00:06:53.720 I go out on midnight patrol with border patrol agents.

00:06:56.560 Really?

00:06:57.180 Many times.

00:06:58.180 You should come.

00:06:58.960 I'll actually bring you if you're interested in –

00:07:00.980 I will tell you this, actually, Bill.

00:07:05.540 If you saw what was happening, you would be horrified because the people being abused by the traffickers, you don't understand it until you see it firsthand, and it is immoral what's happening at our southern border.

00:07:16.400 I take your word.

00:07:17.720 Okay.

00:07:18.220 I don't have to go.

00:07:19.140 I don't have to go.

00:07:49.140 It's going to produce now 8.4 million illegal aliens since Biden's been president.

00:07:53.600 By the way, there was two parts there when I was watching it live.

00:07:57.000 One, I loved how he was ready to move on real quick because you were making a lot of sense.

00:08:00.820 I also thought it was really telling when he says, I'm not going.

00:08:04.240 I don't want to see it.

00:08:05.000 I'll take your word for it.

00:08:06.380 This is consistent with those on the left because I think they know just how bad it is.

00:08:10.500 Yeah.

00:08:10.700 So if you don't go see it, you don't have to admit it's really this bad or it's really happening.

00:08:15.060 He's like, I'll take your word for it.

00:08:16.700 Let's move on because you're making too much sense.

00:08:19.800 Well, look, I will give Bill some grace there.

00:08:24.680 He is an entertainer rather than a journalist.

00:08:27.180 I don't think he holds himself out as a journalist.

00:08:29.480 So he doesn't have a responsibility to report on the news.

00:08:34.780 I'll tell you, reporters won't go down.

00:08:36.900 Yeah.

00:08:37.020 And that's actually what they're paid to do is tell people what's happening.

00:08:41.040 Or the president or the vice president or anyone else in the administration.

00:08:44.380 Democrat senators won't go down. 0.91

00:08:46.080 Democrat House members won't go down.

00:08:47.800 Democrats won't go down.

00:08:49.480 And the reporters, Corrine Jean-Pierre, on verdict, we've invited Corrine Jean-Pierre multiple times,

00:08:54.740 come down and see what's happening.

00:08:56.240 They don't want to see it.

00:08:57.900 So, look, I get Bill's an entertainer.

00:08:59.680 He likes making jokes.

00:09:00.760 And he's good at it.

00:09:02.140 So I understand if he doesn't want to see it.

00:09:04.580 I wish he would.

00:09:05.180 It actually would have been a very interesting.

00:09:07.840 I actually think if Bill Maher came and went on midnight patrol and saw what actually happens.

00:09:13.820 He'd be enraged.

00:09:14.500 It would infuriate him if he saw it firsthand.

00:09:19.900 Guys, I want to talk to you real quick about chalk.

00:09:21.980 And if you have never heard me talk about chalk, then you need to check out exactly what they can do for you.

00:10:36.140 C-H-O-Q.com.

00:10:38.140 There was another part of the discussion that you had with Bill Maher that was also very interesting,

00:10:42.520 and it dealt with Hamas funding.

00:10:44.320 It actually came out of a conversation about Joe Manchin.

00:10:47.080 Now, as many people may not realize, Joe Manchin is a guy that said, I'm not running for re-election.

00:10:52.000 That was a shock.

00:10:53.120 But then he's also eyeing the White House at the same time, which was a little bit of a shock.

00:10:57.940 And here's part of that back and forth.

00:11:00.020 Could you vote for a guy like Joe Manchin?

00:11:02.340 No.

00:11:02.820 Never?

00:11:03.420 Really?

00:11:03.660 He's not conservative enough for you?

00:11:04.940 Because I serve with him, and actually he votes on 90% of the times for things that are terrible.

00:11:09.400 So, for example, I watched the panel discussion you had.

00:11:12.200 You were talking about Iran and Hamas, and I said at the end of our interview that I thought Biden had direct responsibility for this attack.

00:11:20.780 And you said, why?

00:11:22.420 Let me give you one reason why.

00:11:23.960 Joe Biden is responsible for $100 billion going to the Ayatollah.

00:11:28.340 He made a decision to do that, and Iran funds Hamas. 0.77

00:11:32.780 The Wall Street Journal reported in September they brought Hamas terrorists to Iran and trained them in Iran to carry out the attack.

00:11:39.420 And I start from a really simple principle.

00:11:41.760 Don't give money to terrorists who want to kill us.

00:11:44.840 And that, unfortunately, the Democrat Party is on the other side of that.

00:11:49.760 The audience even clapped, and he didn't have much to say, which I thought was also very telling.

00:11:54.060 Again, you mentioned there about Hamas.

00:11:58.340 And just the way that's being covered, the audience clapped, and it was pretty clear.

00:12:05.020 You're either with the terrorists or you're against the terrorists.

00:12:07.180 The Democratic Party seems to be standing with the terrorists.

00:12:10.300 There's members of Congress or Democrats are standing with the terrorists as well.

00:12:14.360 The squad is very clear what side they're on.

00:12:17.460 Well, but, you know, with Maher, we actually got into it a little more on this question, where he came back a little bit later and he wanted to say, well, it's a lot more complicated than that.

00:12:27.080 And it really isn't.

00:12:28.240 Here, take a listen and give a watch.

00:12:30.120 You know it's more complicated than that.

00:12:31.980 No, I actually don't think it is.

00:12:33.260 When the Ayatollah chants death to America and death to Israel, I believe him. 1.00

00:12:39.260 But what's the complicated part is what I was saying.

00:12:41.280 The people of Iran is different than the regime.

00:12:44.000 But he didn't give the money to the people.

00:12:45.300 He gave the money to the Ayatollah. 0.95

00:12:46.940 The person he's giving it to is the one who has pledged he wants to murder as many Jews and as many Americans as possible. 0.99

00:12:54.660 And giving him, Obama gave him $100 billion, Biden gave him $100 billion, and that was catastrophically foolish. 0.99

00:13:02.580 Catastrophic. 0.99

00:13:03.520 It's true.

00:13:05.280 And so, but look, it's an interesting, like, the point, well, it's more complicated than that.

00:13:10.180 No.

00:13:10.560 It really isn't.

00:13:12.300 You're right.

00:13:13.040 The Iranian people, there are wonderful people who are the Iranian people.

00:13:17.300 They're not the ones getting the money.

00:13:18.440 The money is going to the people, to the regime that is murdering and torturing and oppressing the Iranian people. 0.67

00:13:25.120 So you're not helping the Iranian people by giving hundreds of billions of dollars to the people that are oppressing the Iranian people.

00:13:34.240 I tell you, this segment may have been one of my favorite segments I've ever watched you do because you talk all the time about wanting to change hearts and minds.

00:13:41.460 And if you were a moderate or a liberal that traditionally watches Bill Maher, does not watch Fox News Channel, does not listen to Verdict, I think you walked away thinking, wow, Ted Cruz and conservative values actually make a lot of sense.

00:13:56.220 And on an issue like this with Hamas and Palestine and Israel, I think there's a huge lane there for us to bring people into the conservative ideas.

00:14:06.300 And this was one hell of a way of doing it.

00:14:08.100 Well done.

00:14:08.460 So you may have noticed while I was sitting at the table with him, I had a manila envelope sitting on the table in front of me.

00:14:16.320 And at the end of the episode, actually, as the camera was turning off, so I didn't do this on air, I reached in and pulled something out to give to Bill, which is back during the 2016 presidential campaign.

00:14:27.920 You may have missed it, but Bill Maher actually endorsed me for president.

00:14:33.300 Really?

00:14:33.740 And this was when it came down between me and Donald Trump, and it was a one-on-one, it was, I think, April of 16, and the two of us were slugging it out.

00:14:42.080 Yeah.

00:14:42.480 And it was going to be one or the other.

00:14:43.820 And he did a whole monologue where he said, you know, we're both horrible. 0.98

00:14:50.280 But he said, he said, Donald Trump is like Ebola. 1.00

00:14:55.280 He will kill you quickly and it will be bloody and horrible. 1.00

00:14:59.540 And he said, Cruz is more like the Zika virus. 0.99

00:15:03.380 It's really terrible, but it's not as horrible as Ebola.

00:15:07.320 And so he had made and he pulled out a red hat that said, better Ted than dead.

00:15:17.280 And he put it on.

00:15:19.180 So in the manila envelope, I pulled out a screenshot, a photograph of Bill Maher wearing the hat, better Ted than dead, with him endorsing me for president.

00:15:30.180 And I signed it to him, Bill, inspired leadership.

00:15:34.160 And so I handed it to him.

00:15:35.860 I'm sure you loved it, right?

00:15:37.100 He cracked up laughing.

00:15:38.500 Had it worked out, I would have done it in the interview itself.

00:15:42.040 But there just, there wasn't a moment to do it that would have been natural, that wasn't just forcing it in.

00:15:46.760 So I just gave it to him at the end.

00:15:48.080 That's awesome.

00:15:49.000 Let me tell you about our friends at Patriot Mobile.

00:15:51.680 If you've got a cell phone and your cell phone provider is Big Mobile, there's a very good chance that when you pay that bill every month, you're actually supporting causes you don't even realize.

00:16:01.240 We're talking about major Democratic candidates running for re-election.

00:16:04.520 They donate, too.

00:16:05.340 And there's something else that also happens.

00:16:06.620 They give big donations to Planned Parenthood.

00:16:09.360 That's why we want you to make the switch to Patriot Mobile.

00:16:12.700 The reason is they take a portion of your bill every month at no extra cost to you, and they give it back to conservative causes that you help choose to support.

00:16:21.080 We're talking about setting up for your First Amendment rights, your Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children.

00:16:25.700 Right now, it is their 10th anniversary at Patriot Mobile.

00:16:28.980 So for every single verdict listener that makes the switch, they are going to give a donation to an organization that's protecting the rights of unborn children right away.

00:16:39.440 And then every month when you pay your bill, you're supporting conservative causes that you choose to help support.

00:16:45.780 They're an incredible company.

00:16:47.380 So if you're tired of woke companies fighting against what you believe in, switch to Patriot Mobile.

00:16:52.700 They have a 100% U.S.-based customer service team.

00:16:55.460 That makes switching easy.

00:16:57.500 You get to keep your same cell phone number you have right now, same cell phone you have, or upgrade to a new one.

00:17:03.080 Senator, I want to talk about what's been happening in this country.

00:17:14.080 We've been covering extensively what's going on in Israel, but there is a whole other level of anti-Semitism that we're witnessing, and it seems to actually be getting worse in this country.

00:17:24.440 It's shocking that universities haven't gotten it under control, even after the initial spats we saw, even at your alma mater and others like U of Penn.

00:17:34.620 We're now seeing it like on a daily basis.

00:17:37.860 And then we also now are seeing this in society.

00:17:40.900 A perfect example of that is what we witnessed at Grand Central Station.

00:17:44.280 I want you to see this, and for everybody that's watching, this is shocking.

00:17:48.340 But it's also shocking, and just look at what they're doing here.

00:17:54.440 So for our audio listeners, describe what we just said.

00:18:00.980 Yeah, you see Grand Central Station, some doors that are closed, and you see these people with Palestinian flags.

00:18:07.840 A lot of them you can't see their faces.

00:18:09.800 They're covered, and they're literally kicking in the glass on the doors, trying to break in.

00:18:15.200 We also are now hearing from a lot of Jewish individuals in New York.

00:18:20.200 They're now terrified to walk the streets.

00:18:22.060 They're walking in groups.

00:18:23.400 Businesses are now closing earlier at daylight times to protect themselves, and they're walking in groups.

00:18:29.560 Their car, they're driving together because of what we're seeing here.

00:18:32.620 And the left is refusing to condemn this behavior.

00:18:36.120 Look, we are seeing vicious anti-Semitism manifesting on a daily basis.

00:18:41.920 We're seeing it in New York City.

00:18:43.620 We're seeing it in Washington, D.C.

00:18:45.500 We're seeing it on university campuses across the country.

00:18:48.180 We saw a major protest, a riot of pro-Hamas rioters at the White House, climb the fences at the White House, spray paint, deface the White House, screaming F Joe Biden, spilling fake blood all over the White House.

00:19:10.100 And you know what you didn't see?

00:19:12.160 You didn't see any of that on the 6 o'clock news.

00:19:14.640 None of it.

00:19:15.660 ABC didn't cover it.

00:19:16.760 NBC, CBS, CNN didn't exist.

00:19:20.380 I've driven down by and seen what they did, but this goes back to my book on woke.

00:19:27.920 I mean, this is all intertwined when the corrupt corporate media silences stories that are inconvenient to the narrative.

00:19:35.660 That is part of the problem.

00:19:36.960 It's why I wrote the book on woke, to understand what it is we're fighting.

00:19:41.520 But this is being spread very deliberately, and I'll tell you, on top of that, it's being accelerated by TikTok.

00:19:50.960 It's being accelerated by China aggressively pushing pro-Hamas propaganda and the impact on young people.

00:20:00.760 You know, Harvard came out recently with a poll that they said Americans 18 to 24, 51 percent of them think Hamas was justified.

00:20:09.960 Yeah.

00:20:10.880 That's horrifying.

00:20:12.500 And it is the impact of China deliberately pushing messages and narratives that are harmful to America and our children sadly being captive to that.

00:20:22.620 The statistics and the amount of propaganda that you mentioned coming out through TikTok is staggering since this initial attack happened on Israel.

00:20:30.860 That's obviously coming from China so that people understand they're purposely putting out propaganda that's pro-Hamas propaganda,

00:20:37.100 anti-Semitic propaganda at alarming rates to everyone on TikTok in America and around the world that they can have influence on.

00:20:44.100 And it works.

00:20:44.900 Yes, it works powerfully.

00:20:47.040 And for a lot of young people, TikTok is one of, if not their principal source of news.

00:20:51.720 And so if they keep getting stories of Palestinians being targeted, look, you look at, here's another image.

00:20:59.820 This is the New York Times in New York.

00:21:03.500 And you can see the front of it with fake blood thrown on the front of the doors.

00:21:09.520 Now, the irony is the New York Times is the biggest cheerleader on the planet. 0.89

00:21:15.340 They had embedded it, one of their photographers on the day of the attack, riding into the massacre.

00:21:20.260 They are rooting for Hamas. 0.97

00:21:22.220 They are advocating for Hamas. 0.98

00:21:24.440 They are amplifying Hamas propaganda on a daily basis. 0.99

00:21:28.620 And yet, look, for these jihadists, they still want to kill them. 0.99

00:21:33.740 Yeah. 1.00

00:21:33.920 The fake blood.

00:21:35.660 Let's be clear.

00:21:36.580 Someone who calls you infidel, they're not interested in reasoning with you.

00:21:42.300 And this is a powerful example.

00:21:45.940 And of course, this doesn't get covered by the media either.

00:21:49.180 Even when the media is the target, they don't cover it.

00:21:51.840 Is this the chickens coming home to roost?

00:21:53.600 I mean, is this the just full circle of the media pushing for these types of individuals and now they're turning on them?

00:22:01.640 They created them?

00:22:02.560 I mean, we've seen this with Democrats now and different companies where the people that they were standing by are now turning on them.

00:22:10.900 The New York Times, when you turn on the New York Times and you start doing this at the front of their building, that says something.

00:22:16.240 Look, I talk in my book, Unwoke, quite a bit about the New York Times.

00:22:19.600 And the New York Times is an incredibly important institution because almost every other reporter in America reads the New York Times.

00:22:26.980 So when the Times covers something, it gets amplified by 10,000 other outlets.

00:22:30.980 And the Times, number one, is very comfortable with propaganda.

00:22:35.800 The 1619 Project was designed as a revisionist history, rewriting of American history to make race front and center, 0.77

00:22:43.640 to push the lie that America is irredeemably racist and that the American Revolution was fought to preserve slavery,

00:22:52.640 which is utter and complete garbage and has been refuted by multiple very, very credible and respected historians. 0.97

00:23:00.660 But the New York Times doesn't care. 0.95

00:23:02.340 They're still pushing it.

00:23:03.360 In fact, they're developing, they've developed a program, a curriculum that's being taught in elementary schools and junior highs across the country.

00:23:10.320 But one of the things I talk about in the book, Unwoke, is the editor, James Bennett, the former editor of the New York Times, of the editorial page, he lost his job.

00:23:20.480 And why did he lose his job?

00:23:22.460 He lost his job because he dared to publish an op-ed from a Republican senator.

00:23:29.160 Which is shocking.

00:23:30.540 It was Tom Cotton.

00:23:31.500 Yeah.

00:23:31.740 It was an op-ed that was calling on Trump to call up the military and use the military to put down the violent riots, the Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots.

00:23:42.520 And I actually say, actually, Tom's op-ed, I didn't find very persuasive.

00:23:45.880 I thought it would be better handled by law enforcement rather than the military.

00:23:49.320 But Tom made an argument.

00:23:51.880 And James Bennett, so James Bennett is a reliable liberal, a knee-jerk liberal, has been his whole life.

00:23:57.880 He was the editor of the editorial page of the New York Times.

00:24:01.600 He obviously disagreed with Tom's op-ed.

00:24:04.600 He thought it was terrible.

00:24:05.500 He thought it was wrong.

00:24:06.640 But he made a decision.

00:24:08.640 This is a point of view that our listeners should be aware of.

00:24:14.240 And when he published it, the woke children, the 20-somethings at the New York Times, revolted.

00:24:21.360 By the way, James Bennett, his brother is Michael Bennett, a sitting Democrat senator from Colorado.

00:24:27.820 Like, this guy, you were talking about, are they regretting bringing people in and then getting consumed by the monster they've created?

00:24:34.540 That's what happened to James Bennett.

00:24:36.120 They fired him because he dared acknowledge that anyone disagrees.

00:24:42.260 And I guarantee you, the next editor got the message.

00:24:46.460 We are Pravda.

00:24:47.260 There is one and only one view.

00:24:50.700 The cultural Marxist narrative is the only thing we will say because if I even acknowledge there is anything else other than the truth, trademark, whatever we say the truth is at that moment.

00:25:03.220 If it's 2 plus 2 equals 5, it is 5.

00:25:06.040 It has always been 5.

00:25:07.080 It will always be 5 unless tomorrow we decide it's 14.

00:25:09.900 It is tragic what has happened to journalism and it's part of why things have gotten so extreme because there is no third-party external check.

00:25:39.900 You mentioned propaganda and I want to show part of this propaganda.

00:25:55.560 Newsbusters found that ABC, CBS, and NBC elevated a Gaza video from a known propagandist influencer.

00:26:06.220 This guy, we're going to show you all the different jobs that he has.

00:26:09.540 But we first want you to see some of this propaganda that was put out and then we're going to show you who this individual is.

00:26:16.580 Take a look first at this video.

00:26:21.000 Remember this guy's face.

00:26:23.340 Now you have this little girl screaming.

00:26:53.340 And then another lady that starts screaming. 1.00

00:26:57.480 He wasn't screaming a moment ago.

00:27:00.120 All right.

00:27:01.180 What I want to do, and I want to do this for our audience that is just listening, I want to play it back again, but I want to narrate it as it's going forward.

00:27:08.140 I want to comment on what you're saying.

00:27:10.300 So let's just play that video back again.

00:27:12.180 This was put out by this individual on his social media, so that's where we got this.

00:27:16.020 So start again.

00:27:18.360 All right.

00:27:18.960 Now, what you're seeing at the beginning is you're seeing an image of what appears to be a Palestinian man, and he has what appears to be blood on his hand, and he's showing it to you.

00:27:30.600 Now, one of the things that's striking, he's screaming and he's yelling at the camera.

00:27:34.460 But one of the things that's striking, if you look at his hand, there are no wounds.

00:27:39.140 There's no cut.

00:27:40.240 It simply has some red liquid.

00:27:42.500 Maybe it's blood.

00:27:43.260 Maybe it's red paint.

00:27:44.600 Some red liquid is on his hand, but there are no wounds whatsoever.

00:27:47.900 You then move to a young girl who again has red liquid.

00:27:51.760 Stop, stop.

00:27:52.280 Just stop there for a second.

00:27:54.380 Okay.

00:27:55.040 So she's got red liquid. 0.85

00:27:57.400 Appears to be blood.

00:27:58.440 It could be red paint.

00:27:59.580 It is some red liquid.

00:28:00.420 But the interesting thing is this girl has no visible wounds either.

00:28:04.440 There's no cut.

00:28:05.340 There's no bruise.

00:28:06.280 There's nothing that is actually bleeding.

00:28:08.460 It's just liquid on someone that appears to be.

00:28:11.960 There are no visible injuries.

00:28:13.840 You and I, by the way, both know the same thing.

00:28:15.440 There's a woman who screams in a moment, and she wasn't screaming when the camera comes past her the first time.

00:28:20.440 It's like she's waiting for a cue.

00:28:21.980 So just on pause, you can see this little girl is screaming, and she's screaming loudly.

00:28:27.780 She has red liquid on her face. 0.92

00:28:29.960 There's a cameraman who is taking pictures.

00:28:33.200 But what I want you to do as this plays forward is behind the cameraman.

00:28:37.080 There are several other men, and I want you to look at their faces.

00:28:39.900 So play this slowly going forward.

00:28:42.200 And by the way, for everybody listening to this, audio only.

00:28:44.860 You can watch this on YouTube, and you can go and see this.

00:28:47.940 So when you get home, look at it on YouTube, and you're going to see this video because it's that important that you get to see this.

00:28:53.240 And subscribe to YouTube at the same time.

00:28:55.320 One out of three podcasts we do is on video.

00:28:57.640 All of them are on audio.

00:28:59.680 Okay, so you see her screaming and clapping. 0.59

00:29:02.800 And then we're coming around.

00:29:04.060 There's the cameraman who's filming it.

00:29:06.220 And then is the shot.

00:29:07.500 And there's another.

00:29:08.000 Obviously, the person filming here is some other cameraman.

00:29:10.040 But now you're going to see a couple of men in orange vests.

00:29:15.380 And I want you to look at the second man, the one on the left, because he is cracking up laughing.

00:29:21.260 He is smiling ear to ear, and he is laughing.

00:29:23.900 He's the one now in the middle next to the cameraman.

00:29:26.440 And he's laughing loudly.

00:29:28.340 Now, if this were really a young woman who had had something horrible happen.

00:29:33.160 And they're in emergency vests.

00:29:34.600 You would assume he'd be running over to give aid.

00:29:36.420 Yeah, nobody would be laughing.

00:29:38.200 If this, however, were a performance, you might not be able to resist laughing.

00:29:43.060 And his expression, you want to talk.

00:29:45.140 I mean, the laughter he's showing throughout it all.

00:29:48.680 And then we'll keep playing forwards because this young girl.

00:29:52.100 And by the way, you notice there's red liquid on her toe. 1.00

00:29:54.260 But again, no injury on her foot, just red liquid.

00:29:56.800 Yeah.

00:29:57.960 My whole thing is, if you're wearing the emergency vest, wouldn't you be running over to help and give aid instead of just standing there watching?

00:30:04.180 The way they are interacting, they are interacting as if they are watching a performance.

00:30:11.240 But let's roll forward to the next woman. 1.00

00:30:15.200 We have this little girl.

00:30:16.840 There's her performance.

00:30:18.100 She's slapping her hands.

00:30:19.940 Okay, now this woman is very calm.

00:30:21.960 Let's have audio for her. 0.93

00:30:23.240 Let's go to the beginning of the older woman. 1.00

00:30:25.540 Watch and listen because the audio here, we'll play it at normal speed with audio because she's calm.

00:30:31.520 And then she begins screaming like crazy, almost as if someone says action.

00:30:36.700 And then she's calm again.

00:30:45.700 Okay.

00:30:46.140 So that was put out on social media.

00:30:48.600 You look at it.

00:30:49.460 You're not sure what it is.

00:30:51.200 There are things about it that seem kind of fake.

00:30:54.100 Now, that's you and me talking.

00:30:55.740 But, you know, we're not professional journalists.

00:30:57.460 We don't, say, have major TV networks behind us.

00:31:00.800 Tell me, what does a major TV network do with this?

00:31:03.840 If you want to run propaganda that makes you think that Israel's the bad guys, you run with this. 0.92

00:31:08.440 All right, well, let's see what CBS did with that video.

00:31:11.680 A massive strike at the Al-Shifa hospital grounds, Gaza's largest medical facility.

00:31:19.920 Israel insists Hamas is using hospitals to coordinate attacks and hide its commanders, but sheltering at Al-Shifa thousands of civilians.

00:31:34.200 Their one place of refuge, now a blood-soaked battleground, reeling instant disbelief.

00:31:41.860 There's the guy, the guy with blood in his hands screaming.

00:31:46.060 They're now showing that image.

00:31:48.200 They're now showing the little girl screaming.

00:31:51.080 Although they quickly crop out the guy laughing.

00:31:53.520 They edit it so you don't get to see the guy laughing.

00:31:55.900 And then they show the woman screaming, but they end it before she stops screaming.

00:32:02.260 So they took the most theatrical elements of that video, and they aired it.

00:32:09.500 And by the way, go back to just that screenshot we just had.

00:32:12.600 Notice how they cite it.

00:32:14.300 They just cite it as social media.

00:32:16.920 They don't put the guy's name.

00:32:18.100 They don't say where this came from.

00:32:19.300 They don't say, go look at this account if you want to see more of what's happening in Gaza.

00:32:22.140 No, no, it's just social media.

00:32:23.540 All right, so who is this guy?

00:32:26.200 Ben, who is this guy?

00:32:27.160 So this guy is a guy that has been exposed by newsbusters, and I love this.

00:32:32.300 He's been dubbed Mr. Fafo and Mr. Pollywood.

00:32:38.980 That's Palestinian and Hollywood combined. 0.68

00:32:41.200 This person posts his propaganda videos to his Instagram account where he has pretended to be,

00:32:46.800 ready for this list, a Hamas fighter, in a music video, a radiology tech in a hospital,

00:32:54.280 a foster father, a member of the press, a rescue worker, among other roles.

00:33:00.680 So let's have a little fun with this.

00:33:02.240 All right, well, hold on.

00:33:02.720 Let's put up the pictures.

00:33:04.620 Okay.

00:33:05.200 Let's go to the pictures here.

00:33:06.260 So remember the guy at the beginning, the guy with the blood on his hands.

00:33:10.320 You can see these same guys.

00:33:11.740 These are his posts, by the way.

00:33:12.960 This is not hard to find.

00:33:14.420 You simply search for it.

00:33:16.160 So let's describe.

00:33:17.520 We've got the one in the top left.

00:33:19.000 He looks like some sort of medical tech.

00:33:20.900 He's feeding someone into a CAT scan machine.

00:33:23.560 Well, squeezing the breathing bubble, basically, to keep him alive, which I don't think you'd put somebody in a CAT scan while you're doing that that way.

00:33:31.040 I'm guessing that may not happen.

00:33:32.920 Then he's a press guy.

00:33:34.120 Then he's got oxygen.

00:33:35.120 He's a victim of something.

00:33:36.460 I don't know what.

00:33:37.500 Then he's dying in another video.

00:33:39.300 Then he's a reporter, I think, maybe in the next video.

00:33:42.280 Then he's getting what looks like a blood transfusion in another video.

00:33:45.400 Then he's a sitting-up dead man in a body bag.

00:33:47.560 Sitting up.

00:33:48.060 Not laying down, but sitting up.

00:33:49.160 That's impressive.

00:33:49.600 He's wrapped in a body bag and sitting up.

00:33:51.860 And sitting up, literally.

00:33:52.880 Then he's a Hamas fighter.

00:33:53.960 That's probably the most accurate one with a machine gun.

00:33:56.220 And then he's a member of the press, and that's just the highlight reel from his social media.

00:34:01.700 So let me ask seriously, if you're the head of CBS News, and you just aired this as news, and you didn't point out that the guy who filmed it is known to put out propaganda, is known to be a crisis actor, puts out pictures of himself.

00:34:18.000 I mean, this is not—look, sometimes people say, oh, it's a conspiracy theory to say someone's a crisis actor.

00:34:24.420 Well, this man—I'm going to read.

00:34:26.900 This person is known as a Hamas-linked social media influencer and crisis actor, yet ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News all treated his content as though it was a legitimate source of news from Gaza.

00:34:40.820 And, Ben, there's one of two scenarios.

00:34:43.380 Either CBS, ABC, and NBC knew who he was, in which case they're deliberately lying to the American people and saying,

00:34:52.600 let's take a Hamas propagandist and put it on the global stage. 0.92

00:34:57.520 If they knew, the producer who put this segment together should be fired.

00:35:03.480 Or the alternative is they didn't know.

00:35:07.580 If they didn't know, it means they had a political narrative they wanted to tell.

00:35:12.540 They had a political agenda, and it was too good to check.

00:35:16.220 They got video that fit their political agenda.

00:35:18.600 Let's put it on the news.

00:35:20.040 And you know what? 0.96

00:35:20.780 If they didn't know, it means they're biased and incompetent. 0.98

00:35:24.100 They ought to be fired anyway. 0.98

00:35:25.680 This is when you simply repeat Hamas propaganda that is based on lies.

00:35:32.900 That's not journalism.

00:35:35.100 And anyone involved with putting it out should have the consequences for being a part of lying on behalf of terrorists.

00:35:42.060 A big shout-out, by the way, to Newsbusters for doing this dive, finding this intel, putting it out, going,

00:35:48.080 hey, you want to see who this guy really is?

00:35:49.960 And by the way, let's have a real test.

00:35:52.140 CBS, if there's one principled journalist at all of CBS, do a story on who this guy is

00:36:00.500 and how CBS was complicit in spreading his lies.

00:36:04.140 That won't be easy. 1.00

00:36:05.320 It will be very uncomfortable because it will make you look like crap. 0.97

00:36:09.060 But if you're actual journalists who care about the truth in any way, shape, or form, that's what you do. 0.98

00:37:49.440 Finally, Senator, I do want to give an update, and we're going to do more of this later this week on Wednesday.

00:37:54.660 So make sure you pay attention to that show when it comes out Wednesday.

00:37:57.600 But I do want to tease this a little bit.

00:38:00.040 The Biden crime family is now under a significant amount of pressure.

00:38:06.360 This because of subpoenas that have gone out.

00:38:09.560 These are significant.

00:38:11.500 They are going to have to come back with real answers.

00:38:14.640 And Fox News Channel kind of describe what's happening here and what we can expect for the next week or so.

00:38:19.540 Take a look at this.

00:38:20.820 Well, James Comer, these are not the first subpoenas that James Comer has issued as part of his investigation.

00:38:25.780 Actually, in September, he subpoenaed bank records belonging to Hunter and James Biden.

00:38:30.520 That was, at that point, the most aggressive step that he had taken.

00:38:34.280 But in the last few weeks, you know, the committee has been obtaining these subpoenaed records

00:38:39.260 from James and Hunter's personal and business financial records.

00:38:44.060 And what Hunter Biden and James Biden's records have shown, according to Comer,

00:38:50.060 is that President Biden actually may have benefited.

00:38:53.020 So last week, James Comer said that President Biden actually received two checks from James Biden

00:38:58.880 and Sarah Biden's personal bank account, one for $40,000 and one for $200,000.

00:39:04.380 Those checks both were labeled in the memo section of the check as loan repayments.

00:39:09.040 But James Comer says the White House is not providing those documents that would prove that those were actual loans.

00:39:15.080 And those the money actually came on days that the Biden family was obtaining money from Chinese business companies and more.

00:39:22.260 So Comer's been laying all of this out and following the money.

00:39:26.040 Senator, I mean, James Comer was on this show.

00:39:27.860 And if you missed it, go back.

00:39:29.200 We did a two-part series with James Comer.

00:39:30.880 But this is a guy in James Comer that I really have a lot of faith in because he takes his time.

00:39:35.700 He's doing it the right way.

00:39:37.260 He's laying it out methodically.

00:39:39.340 And this is really damning that you now have direct checks to the President of the United States of America.

00:39:43.580 So we now know that Joe Biden received at least two hundred and forty thousand dollars from his brother and his brother's wife.

00:39:49.860 We know that he received it immediately after they got money from foreign nationals from China.

00:39:56.060 Within days of their getting the money, they sent the money straight to the big guy, to the big guy.

00:40:02.840 Remember, Democrats kept saying there's no direct evidence of Joe Biden's involvement.

00:40:06.620 Well, two hundred and forty thousand dollars is two hundred and forty thousand direct pieces of evidence that he deposited his bank account.

00:40:13.240 Don't forget, it was the president who said on the campaign trail his son never made a dime from China.

00:40:19.040 Yeah, which is a flat-out lie.

00:40:20.300 But Biden has lied so much on this, you can't even keep track of his multiple lies.

00:40:25.240 And the media certainly doesn't keep track of him.

00:40:27.340 We know that Joe Biden and Hunter Biden had over 20 shell companies, that they had multiple bank accounts,

00:40:32.640 that Joe Biden had fake email addresses and burner phones,

00:40:36.420 that everything they did appears to be a massive money laundering operation.

00:40:40.100 And we know the Department of Justice is obstructed at every level.

00:40:43.900 But the House investigation is getting closer.

00:40:46.920 The subpoenas of Hunter and James Biden are a big deal.

00:40:51.120 And in the upcoming verdicts this week, we will do a deep dive into the legal peril

00:40:56.440 and the growing evidence of corruption by Hunter Biden and, much, much more important,

00:41:00.880 the growing evidence of corruption by Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., the president of the United States.

00:41:05.620 We're going to have that on Wednesday, including some very interesting tweets that came out from the House Oversight Committee.

00:41:11.140 Don't miss that.
