00:01:28.960 Thank you for listening and getting involved.

00:01:30.300 Senator, we've got Kamala Harris saying out loud

00:01:33.040 what the future of the Democratic Party is all about 1.00

00:01:36.780 if you'll just let them have control of the House and the Senate.

00:01:40.100 Well, it's Democrats gone wild.

00:01:43.240 If you remember those spring break ads 0.83

00:01:45.980 that would feature a bunch of scantily clad young ladies on the beach 0.52

00:01:51.020 running around getting into trouble, 0.99

00:01:52.500 well that sadly is the state of the current democrat party they they are at fort lauderdale

00:01:58.520 they are chugging beers they are in a panic and and it really is quite striking so six weeks ago

00:02:05.400 the democrats were supreme in their confidence they knew that they hated donald j trump they

00:02:12.700 they believed the american people were going to rise up in a giant repudiation a giant roar of

00:02:19.060 orange man bad. And then suddenly a funny thing happened on the way to the office. And the numbers

00:02:25.040 are not backing up what the Democrats hoped. In particular, their redistricting plans to try to

00:02:30.420 steal seats and get a majority of the House of Representatives by dramatically gerrymandering

00:02:37.660 blue states. That crashed to the ground and failed mightily. And now what we're seeing is

00:02:45.440 really quite amazing. At the same time, in California, they're looking at the very real

00:02:49.720 possibility that a Republican governor will be elected in California. In fact, we could see a

00:02:56.600 scenario where the only two people who make the runoff are both Republicans. That has California

00:03:01.700 Democrats freaking out. We're going to break it all down, but we're going to start with our favorite,

00:03:07.380 someone who told us to use her own words. There are a lot of people saying she was the most

00:03:13.860 qualified person ever to run for president of the United States um you know Kamala I will say this

00:03:20.980 she has insights no other human being on planet earth has because out of eight billion people

00:03:26.000 that that idea did not occur to anyone else other than yes but but but Kamala now is promising

00:03:34.320 if the Democrats win a nice quiet middle of the road moderate agenda here give a listen yeah it

00:03:43.480 truly is amazing we're going to play that in a moment but before we get to that if you have a

00:03:47.000 dog and you love your dog as much as i love our new puppy birdie then you need to check out what

00:03:52.220 rough greens can do for the quality of your dog's life it is incredible after we saw what happened

00:03:58.660 with our older dog memphis we realized why wait until the dog's older why not give rough greens

00:04:05.080 right now to little birdie and we know what it does it supports long-term health by providing

00:04:11.000 live bioavailable nutrients including essential vitamins minerals probiotics digestive enzymes

00:04:17.840 and omega oils now the ingredients they work together to improve nutrition absorption also

00:04:23.760 help birdie maintain joint and muscle health as she grows and enhance her overall vitality now 0.87

00:04:30.740 we care about birdie's longevity we've already lost two dogs unfortunately when they got older

00:04:36.840 And this is a way we can do everything we can to keep birdie around as long as possible.

00:04:42.700 Now, there are deficiencies found in processed dog food, but Rough Greens, it supplements your dog or your puppy's diet with natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that help reduce oxidative stress, support immune defense as well, and slow age-related decline.

00:05:02.100 That's what we love the most.

00:05:03.640 Now, it's easy.

00:05:04.500 You're not buying new food.

00:05:05.680 You just sprinkle it on, the current food that your dog eats, and bam, they love it.

00:05:12.080 So whether you've got a puppy or an older dog, you need to check out and try Rough Greens.

00:05:18.100 You will see a difference.

00:05:19.900 Now, you don't have to change your dog's food.

00:05:42.700 So don't change your dog's food, just add Rough Greens and watch the health benefits

00:05:46.940 come alive.

00:05:48.180 All right, so here it is.

00:05:49.060 Kamala Harris in her own words, Senator.

00:05:51.360 It's really amazing, her plans for the country.

00:05:54.040 Say, look, this is a moment where there are no bad ideas.

00:05:57.720 a no bad idea brainstorm is what I'd like to call it. And in that no bad ideas brainstorm,

00:06:04.620 we talk about what we need to do and think about doing around the Electoral College.

00:06:10.600 We talk about the idea of Supreme Court reform, which includes expanding the Supreme Court.

00:06:18.120 We invite a conversation about multi-members districts. We talk about, look, that if we win

00:06:25.800 the Senate, which we should and we will, then the Senate Judiciary Committee should have rules that

00:06:32.820 they put in place. So when these people come before as nominees to the Supreme Court and lie,

00:06:39.400 that they are held to account and consequence, not just that somebody goes on cable news and

00:06:45.800 says they lied, but that there are rules in place to actually penalize people for lying to a Senate

00:06:52.580 Judiciary Committee, that we agree that it is right to have ethics rules for Supreme Court

00:06:59.660 justices. And let's put those in place. Let's talk about statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.

00:07:07.200 These are the things I think that we've got to do. We've got to neutralize these red states from 1.00

00:07:12.660 cheating, including blue states expanding their maps. And all of this, I think, is, 0.84

00:07:20.320 is, look, we got to fight fire with fire.

00:07:24.480 These folks are playing to win.

00:07:26.020 We got to play to win. 0.62

00:07:26.980 Senator, there's a lot of things that she laid out,

00:07:29.280 and I think we should go through them because it's important.

00:07:31.620 But one of the ones that was obviously the most glaring to me

00:07:34.880 is not only does she want to dismantle the Supreme Court 0.97

00:07:39.280 any time that the Democratic Party gets a ruling they don't like, 1.00

00:07:43.100 they actually want to harass Supreme Court justices

00:07:45.560 so that they could, in essence, kick them off the court

00:07:47.940 and then pack the court if they still don't get what they want,

00:07:51.800 that would completely undo the United States of America

00:07:54.200 and our system of government as we know it now.

00:07:56.960 Well, Ben, when they tell you who they are, believe them.

00:08:01.060 What is striking about the list that she laid out,

00:08:04.720 she did not lay out a single thing that was a policy that affects you and your family.

00:08:09.800 She didn't say we want to arrest more criminals and keep your family safe.

00:08:16.640 She certainly didn't say we want to secure the border.

00:08:19.100 She didn't want to say we want to reduce taxes or make it easier for small businesses to create jobs.

00:08:25.220 Those are all policies that would make a difference for you and your family.

00:08:29.500 Understand the only thing Democrats are concerned with is getting in power and staying in power.

00:08:38.140 Every single thing she listed was single-mindedly focused on one thing.

00:08:42.520 power rigging elections so democrats can never ever lose you know she began by saying there are

00:08:50.980 no bad ideas and you know she quickly disproved herself because every word out of her mouth

00:08:55.880 was a really bad idea i want to go through them i want to go through them i actually wrote down

00:09:00.360 what she said because it was astonishingly candid you know kamala there are gifted politicians bill

00:09:07.540 Clinton is a gifted politician. Barack Obama is a gifted politician. And then there are

00:09:13.680 staggeringly non-gifted politicians, and that would be Kamala. And one of the reasons that

00:09:19.560 she is so non-gifted is, like the rest of them, she knows what their radical agenda is. 0.76

00:09:28.020 She's just not clever enough to not say it out loud. So she says the quiet part that the rest

00:09:35.020 of them are thinking, let's be clear, this is what Barack Obama wants to do, but he frames that we've

00:09:39.760 got to save democracy. Kamala doesn't put any pretty shine on it. So she started off with

00:09:44.700 ending the Electoral College. The Electoral College is how we elect the president. What 0.99

00:09:51.100 she wants to do is take away the influence of small states. She wants to take away the influence. 1.00

00:09:56.280 She wants the president elected by New York and California and Illinois, the giant states.

00:10:02.200 And if you happen to live in a little state, she wants you to have zero influence in who the president is.

00:10:08.440 That's where she started.

00:10:09.720 And by the way, there's a lot of little states, so people understand, that she would get rid of North Dakota, South Dakota, a lot of the southern states.

00:10:15.920 Like, she would just say, you guys don't even matter anymore.

00:10:19.360 I just want people to understand, when we say smaller states, we're talking about a lot of the map of the United States of America.

00:10:26.660 We're talking Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada.

00:10:30.240 All of those become largely irrelevant.

00:10:32.440 We're talking about Indiana, Missouri, even a Tennessee.

00:10:36.820 Arkansas, Mississippi, even Tennessee could be in there.

00:10:38.760 No, no.

00:10:39.100 This is a presidential election that is decided by New York and California and Illinois and Texas and Florida.

00:10:45.800 And you would have presidential candidates spending almost all their time in those five states because that's where the bulk of the population is and ignoring 80 percent of the states because that's not where the population is. 0.55

00:10:58.900 Why is she doing that? Because the Democrat machines that have destroyed New York City, 1.00

00:11:04.120 that have destroyed Los Angeles, that have destroyed San Francisco, she feels they can

00:11:08.000 crank up enough votes that it can overwhelm. Even if Democrats only win five states,

00:11:14.620 she thinks they can drive enough numbers in those five states. What's the next thing she said?

00:11:19.360 Supreme Court reform. Expand the court. So Kamala and the Democrats are big mad. They're big mad 1.00

00:11:26.780 that we have a Supreme Court that's following the law and is not willing to roll over to Democrat 0.93

00:11:32.080 power grabs. And so their answer is to take the last bad idea they had. You know, FDR tried to do

00:11:38.060 this when the Supreme Court struck down several elements of the New Deal. He came up with packing

00:11:43.980 the court. He wanted to grow it from nine justices to 15 justices. He had a Democrat supermajority

00:11:50.260 in both the House and Senate. And the Democrats at the time, they were responsible Democrats who

00:11:54.100 said, no, that is an abuse of power. That's not consistent with the Constitution. We're not going

00:11:59.600 to do it. The difference is today's Democrats, there are no reasonable Democrats. They just

00:12:04.840 want power. So they want the Supreme Court to be a partisan arm of the Democrat Party. What's the

00:12:09.840 next thing she said? Multi-member districts. Understand, everything she's saying is tearing 1.00

00:12:16.600 up the Constitution, and in particular, the constitutional mechanism for democracy,

00:12:22.000 how we elect our leaders. She doesn't want one House member representing one district. Why? 1.00

00:12:29.440 Well, because in the last election, the Democrats lost. And in this next election,

00:12:33.400 there's a very real chance the Democrats are going to lose. So she wants to make downtown New York

00:12:39.080 elect a whole bunch of different Democrat members. She wants Los Angeles to elect a whole bunch of 1.00

00:12:45.200 different Democrat members. She wants Chicago to elect a whole bunch of different Democrat members.

00:12:49.840 And the whole idea of one man, one vote, the whole idea of a representative representing a district, she is saying scrap the Constitution.

00:12:59.780 That is the central theme.

00:13:02.820 All right, now let's shift to the Judiciary Committee.

00:13:06.440 She says we need rules, rules in the Judiciary Committee so that when you lie to the Judiciary Committee, there are consequences and you penalize them.

00:13:15.980 Well, look, I got to admit, I didn't have this on my bingo card, but Kamala Harris has just come out strongly in favor of the Trump DOJ prosecuting James Comey because James Comey is being prosecuted for lying under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

00:13:33.360 To me, I asked him questions.

00:13:36.620 He flat out lied.

00:13:38.000 That is the basis for the indictment that is proceeding.

00:13:40.560 By the way, the Democrats, including Kamala Harris, lit their hair on fire and said it was horrible that he was being prosecuted for lying to the Judiciary Committee.

00:13:47.920 So understand, what she really means is she wants a partisan Democrat Department of Justice to prosecute conservative justices.

00:13:58.120 That is what the objective is, not enough to pack the court.

00:14:01.220 And by the way, that's to intimidate their actual rulings, right?

00:14:04.940 You stay in line, you stay in this lane if you want to stay on the Supreme Court. 0.65

00:14:09.360 And if you get outside of that lane, we'll just come after you and destroy you.

00:14:13.700 But by the way, never once has Kamala suggested prosecuting Anthony Fauci, who lied repeatedly before Congress, who denied, understand Fauci.

00:14:22.360 Great point.

00:14:22.880 The evidence indicates that Fauci paid for the funding for the research at the Wuhan Institute for Virology.

00:14:29.140 That is where they created the COVID virus at all likelihood and created it through what's called gain-of-function research, which is taking existing viruses in nature and modifying them to make them more transmissible, to make them more deadly, to make them more targeted towards humans.

00:14:49.660 The evidence clearly indicates that Fauci cut the checks and paid for it, and then he went before Congress and he lied over and over and over again.

00:14:57.620 And by the way, you want proof of that. What did Joe Biden do on the way out? He pardoned Fauci

00:15:02.580 for lying to Congress. And yet when Kamala says she wants penalties for lying to Congress, 1.00

00:15:08.140 she is very specific what she wants. She wants to go after Supreme Court justices she disagrees 0.99

00:15:15.100 with. What's next? Supreme Court ethics rules. This is another big bugaboo of the left. By the 0.99

00:15:22.080 way, she said we need to create Supreme Court ethics rules. Well, you know what? We have them.

00:15:27.620 We have had them for a very long time.

00:15:30.420 This is a not-very-veiled attack at Clarence Thomas.

00:15:34.960 And this is something we've talked about on this podcast before.

00:15:38.040 It's something we'll talk about again in August when my latest—

00:15:42.360 I was going to ask you, is this subject in the book that you're writing about, Clarence Thomas?

00:15:46.960 And if you say no, you need to add it in there.

00:15:48.760 I just want to be clear about that.

00:15:49.900 Of course it is. It's a major part of the book.

00:15:52.740 The book comes out in August.

00:15:55.720 It is called Going Further, the Incomparable Clarence Thomas.

00:15:59.840 It tells his life story, but one of the things it talks about is how the left hates him so much

00:16:04.200 that they've gone after him, and there are lots of different bases,

00:16:07.700 but one of the things they say is ethics rules.

00:16:10.340 Well, the Supreme Court ethics rules, for a long time, for decades,

00:16:14.760 said that you do not disclose personal lodging or travel.

00:16:18.980 So if you stay at someone's home, if someone gives you a ride,

00:16:22.040 if someone feeds you a meal, you don't disclose that.

00:16:24.900 That's the way the rules are written. Clarence Thomas received advice from the lawyers who advise

00:16:30.400 on these matters and was told, follow the rules, so don't disclose personal hospitality. Well,

00:16:36.020 the Democrats have gone crazy because over the years, Justice Thomas and his wife, Jenny,

00:16:40.120 have taken a number of trips, and in particular with Harlan Crow, who is a real estate developer

00:16:44.960 in Dallas, someone's a good friend of mine, and has taken trips with him, has gone camping with

00:16:49.900 him, has had meals with him. They're friends, by the way. That's the part that they want to admit

00:16:54.200 from this. They're actual dear friends of the of the Thomas. Yes. And they've attacked Clarence

00:17:01.060 Thomas. Now, number one, nobody disputes that the ethics rules said do not disclose personal

00:17:07.400 hospitality, lodging and travel like that's admitted. Number two, the other Supreme Court

00:17:14.080 justices, the liberal Supreme Court justices, all did the same thing and have a lot more of it.

00:17:19.820 Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Ketanji Brown-Jackson, Sonia Sotomayor, and yet the left doesn't care at all.

00:17:28.480 Stephen Ginsburg had roughly four times as many trips, including international travel paid by the Pritzker family, which are Democrat billionaire politicians, and yet not a peep.

00:17:45.460 So understand when she says we and by the way, they change the Supreme Court ethics rules so that now you disclose that travel and lodging.

00:17:52.880 So they all do it now before it didn't cover it.

00:17:55.560 Then they changed it. Now it does.

00:17:57.960 But the hypocrisy is she only cares about Clarence Thomas has nothing to do with the fact that he's gone on a camping trip with a Dallas real estate developer.

00:18:07.380 It has everything to do with the fact that she hates, hates, hates that he is faithful to the Constitution.

00:18:13.340 And it's even worse. There is a level of vitriol and animosity to Justice Thomas because he's African-American and dares to be conservative.

00:18:23.280 And so that's what she means there. What are the last couple of things she says?

00:18:27.960 Statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C. Why? Because they believe that'll give them four Democrat senators.

00:18:33.660 It's all about power. And then finally, she says we need to fight red state cheating.

00:18:40.560 we need blue states expanding their map now the amazing thing on this

00:18:47.800 democrats have excelled at gerrymandering for a long long time you know all you have to do is

00:18:55.180 look at new england let's decades by the way when you say long long time i this is something i i was

00:19:00.780 talking about this this last week with some students and they asked me about why are republicans

00:19:06.360 you know taking so much power they're using my my where i was born tennessee is the new example

00:19:10.600 they're just shocked i was like do you know how many other state democratic states out there been

00:19:13.860 doing this for decades and i went through that list which you which i think you're about to give

00:19:17.280 which we should and they're like we didn't know that i'm like so let me get this straight you're

00:19:21.520 all spun up now about tennessee and they're redistricting but you're not spun up about

00:19:27.180 the decades of disenfranchisement as you just described to me in a multitude of states uh up

00:19:33.440 in the Northeast and it was just total blank stare, dead silence. All right, before we move on,

00:19:37.900 I want to just take a moment and I want to talk to you about an organization that I think so many

00:19:42.480 of you will want to be involved with. It is an organization that has been shaping the pro-life

00:19:49.280 laws nationwide for years. A major player in creating pro-life legislation, Americans United

00:19:58.440 for Life. They offer states model bills that they can adopt and can save the lives of unborn

00:20:06.120 babies. Now, over the past 50 years, Americans United for Life has filed more than 200 legal

00:20:11.960 briefs. They've also helped create at least 400 pro-life bills in over 40 states by writing this

00:20:19.540 model legislation. They consult with state legislatures, and then they defend their own

00:20:24.560 laws and other pro-life statues in court so you know they stick. AUL's dual front approach of

00:20:33.000 writing and defending legislation has provided an incredibly effective outlook and is now having a

00:20:39.980 major impact on pro-life state legislation as it's moving to enact protections for pre-born babies

00:20:46.820 as well as their mothers. Now that the legality of abortion is returned to the states, your help is

00:20:53.000 needed more than ever. And that's where you have the opportunity to help overturn pro-abortion laws

00:20:59.320 and advance pro-life legislation that attacks the most vulnerable in our society, from the womb

00:21:05.960 to the tomb. So together, we can shape the future of our nation through life-affirming legislation

00:21:39.700 United for Life. Well, let's go through it. Connecticut votes 42% Republican. How many

00:21:45.580 Republican members of Congress are there? Zero. Maine. Maine votes 46% Republican. How many

00:21:52.740 Republican members of Congress are there? I'm going to go with zero again. New Mexico, 46%

00:21:58.200 Republican. How many congressional seats? Is it zero? Yep. New Hampshire, 48% Republican. 48%

00:22:06.300 Republican. How many members of Congress? Zero. Rhode Island, 42% Republican. How many members

00:22:11.920 of Congress? Let's go with the trend of zero again. Vermont, 32% Republican. How many members

00:22:17.540 of Congress? Zero. Hawaii, 38% Republican. How many members of Congress? Zero. Delaware, 42%

00:22:25.140 Republican. How many members of Congress? I'm going to go with zero again. And how about

00:22:29.060 Massachusetts, 36% Republican. How many members of Congress? Zero. You are exactly right. There it

00:22:35.140 is. Like in every one of those states, by the way, when the Democrats cheat, they take every seat.

00:22:40.860 They don't leave anything there.

00:22:43.120 Yeah, they leave no doubt that they're cheating.

00:22:44.900 They don't even say, let's give a token one just in case.

00:22:47.680 So we're above reproach or we have an argument to fight back.

00:22:50.140 They're like, we don't even care.

00:22:51.020 Look, you look at Virginia, Virginia, Virginia right now is about 45 percent of the voters in Virginia vote Republican.

00:23:00.900 The current congressional map is six Democrats and five Republicans, which about reflects where the voters are.

00:23:07.920 What did Abigail Spanberger and the Democrats do?

00:23:11.900 They redrew the map to make it 10 to 1 instead of 6-5, which was a fair and reasonable representation of the state. 0.87

00:23:21.480 They wanted 10. If they could have drawn 11-0, they would have.

00:23:24.480 There were just too many Republicans. They had to find one district and pack them all in that one.

00:23:29.520 Now, their plan to gerrymander the living daylights out of Virginia, it ran into a problem.

00:23:37.400 And the problem was the Virginia Supreme Court, which I know was appointed by Democrats.

00:23:42.720 Folks like Mark Warner, the current senator, as a Democrat governor, put those justices on the bench.

00:23:49.500 The Virginia Supreme Court struck it down, said, you have violated the Virginia Supreme Court.

00:23:55.460 You've got to go with your current map.

00:23:57.780 And Democrats quite literally lost their ever-loving mind.

00:24:02.840 Here, I want you to put up on the screen, for those who are watching on YouTube,

00:24:05.540 the tweet from the governor, Abigail Spanberger, because this shows the same thing as Kamala.

00:24:11.780 They want power, and if they're denied power, they get angry and they lash out. Here's what

00:24:17.620 she said. Quote, the Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of

00:24:23.160 Virginia in choosing to nullify an election in the votes of more than three million Virginians.

00:24:28.540 These Virginians made their voices heard, casting their ballots in good faith to push back against

00:24:33.380 a president who said he's entitled to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls as

00:24:39.300 governor. I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year, because our

00:24:45.360 votes are how we choose the representation we deserve. Now, mind you, she's lashing out at the 1.00

00:24:51.800 Supreme Court of the United States because after the Virginia Supreme Court said what you guys did

00:24:57.460 violates the Virginia Constitution, Virginia appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Now, by the way,

00:25:03.380 Their left-wing Virginia Democrat Attorney General, Jay Jones, the guy who fantasized about murdering the children of a Republican state representative, he is, among other things, apparently not a very good lawyer because his pleadings to the Supreme Court misspelled the word Virginia and misspelled the word senator.

00:25:28.020 It was instead...

00:25:29.380 That's a hard one to spell, sir. Hard one to spell. You get that one wrong all the time, right?

00:25:32.860 You know, a buddy of mine says he's a senator, half man, half horse.

00:25:38.480 And I got to say, if you're attorney general of Virginia, you don't necessarily need to know how to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, but you probably should know how to spell Virginia.

00:25:51.560 Yeah.

00:25:52.260 Their appeal went to the Supreme Court.

00:25:54.700 Ben, how many justices do you think agreed with Abigail Spanberger and Virginia that they should be able to break the Virginia Constitution and ram through a 10-1 map? 0.99

00:26:05.800 I'm going to say maybe one nut job on the Supreme Court.

00:26:08.960 But I could say only one went with them.

00:26:11.560 Am I right or wrong?

00:26:12.440 You are wrong. 0.65

00:26:13.700 Virginia got a total of zero justices.

00:26:16.080 Nada.

00:26:16.420 Not one.

00:26:16.940 I was thinking there was one crazy on there that would have been like, all right, fine.

00:26:19.960 So it was unanimous.

00:26:21.600 It was unanimous.

00:26:22.560 And I got to say, if you're sitting there as a crazy Democrat and the Supreme Court unanimously rejects what you're doing, if even Ketanji Brown Jackson there says, whoa, there, whoa, there. 0.61

00:26:34.900 No, no, no, no. 0.57

00:26:35.440 We have this thing called law.

00:26:36.860 So no, thank you.

00:26:38.980 That's got to say something.

00:26:40.320 But yet to Democrats, it does not.

00:26:43.180 I want to take a quick moment and talk to you about an incredible organization, and it is called Compassion International and how you can get involved.

00:26:51.180 I want to be honest with you for a second about how an act of compassion really feels.

00:26:56.860 A couple of years ago, I made the choice to partner with an amazing organization called

00:27:02.220 Compassion International.

00:27:03.900 Why?

00:27:04.580 Because I wanted to sponsor a child in need.

00:27:07.800 It was a nice idea, sure, but I had no idea just how much that simple act would change

00:27:13.960 my life as well. 0.94

00:27:15.500 I sponsored Nadia and got to watch her life change right in front of my eyes. 0.99

00:27:20.420 going from starving literally alone on the streets to getting the health care and education 1.00

00:27:26.000 she needs to reach her God-given full potential.

00:27:30.520 I got to be a part of that change.

00:27:32.680 And the light of that compassion not only illuminates in her, it illuminates now in me.

00:27:38.860 That is the power of compassion.

00:27:41.560 The light of Christ shines on all of us.

00:27:45.240 Feel it for yourself and change literally a child's life.

00:27:48.800 change the world and you also change yourself you can sponsor child today visit compassion.com

00:27:56.360 that's compassion.com i think that especially people that listen to the show that are younger

00:28:03.300 they hear this argument on statehood democrats are really leaning into this it's becoming an

00:28:09.180 election year issue multiple times over now and and the argument that young people hear and the

00:28:15.340 one that they then make is, well, they're not being fairly represented.

00:28:18.960 Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., representation or taxation without representation.

00:28:25.360 Why should we not make sure these people have a voice in Washington, D.C.?

00:28:30.180 Explain to people listening now how to defend against that argument that's being made by

00:28:35.940 the left, because they are really pushing this on colleges and college students and

00:28:40.900 young people in this country.

00:28:42.000 Well, look, the Constitution explicitly created D.C., and the framers of the Constitution wanted our nation's capital to be a federal district that was not part of any state.

00:28:52.520 They didn't want any state to be favored because the Congress was there, because the president was there, and so they carved out the lines of the District of Columbia.

00:29:00.580 It was originally carved out to be 10 miles by 10 miles, and then what ultimately happened is they gave the southern portion of it, everything south of the Potomac River, they gave to Virginia.

00:29:09.340 So what used to be D.C., Arlington used to be part of D.C., it was given to Virginia.

00:29:14.680 So it's now that 10-mile-by-10-mile diamond kind of chopped, the bottom portion chopped off by the Potomac River.

00:29:21.480 And the idea of the framers was quite clear, that it was not fair if you had a state that had our capital, that state would have advantages that no other state had.

00:29:31.220 The only reason Democrats want D.C. to be a state is because D.C. would immediately become the most liberal state in the union.

00:29:40.080 It would make California and Illinois and New York look conservative by comparison. 0.70

00:29:46.480 They want two new Democrat senators. 0.92

00:29:49.540 They want one new Democrat House member.

00:29:52.360 They want to be radical and extreme because – and notice it's not about any substance.

00:29:59.300 Go back to Kamala's list.

00:30:00.960 is there a single policy she listed that impacts your life, that is about your job,

00:30:06.200 that is about your kids, that is about your family? No. The only, only focus is power.

00:30:12.360 By the way, if D.C., if they were likely to vote Republican, you would see Democrats saying

00:30:18.400 making D.C. a state is Jim Crow. Yeah. Puerto Rico is actually a little more complicated because

00:30:23.800 Puerto Rico has elected Republicans. The Democrats assume Puerto Rico will elect

00:30:28.600 two Democrat senators. They might be right, but they might be wrong. If Puerto Rico became a state,

00:30:34.760 we would fight and vigorously contest it. I don't know if we could prevail on that or not,

00:30:38.620 but their assumption, look, the Democrats, if there's one essential feature about them, 0.94

00:30:44.380 they're racist. They believe all African Americans must be Democrats. That's why they 0.72

00:30:49.100 hate Clarence Thomas, because in their view, he's a traitor to his race. They believe all Hispanics 1.00

00:30:54.220 must be Democrats. That's why they hate me, because they think I'm a traitor to my race. 0.99

00:30:58.180 And so their view of Puerto Ricans is you must be Democrats because we, the Democrat Party,

00:31:02.980 control you. I'm not sure that would play out. But look, Puerto Rico is a territory. It has

00:31:08.940 a different history. And by the way, the people of Puerto Rico have long been divided on the

00:31:13.380 question of whether to become a state or not. At various times in elections, they've had options

00:31:18.560 of statehood. They've had options of independence. There are some in Puerto Rico that want to be a

00:31:22.960 separate and independent nation. And then the third option, which is what they have now,

00:31:27.000 they're a commonwealth. They get some of the benefits of American citizenship, but yet they're

00:31:31.460 not fully a state. And the people of Puerto Rico have long disagreed on that. Democrats don't care

00:31:36.900 about any of that. All they want is power. And I'll point to another instance. We've talked about 0.99

00:31:41.840 Kamala Nationwide. We've talked about Virginia and Governor Spanberger, both gone wild. And then

00:31:49.120 you look at California. So, all right, here's a story in the New York Post, Bay 16th.

00:31:56.060 California sees massive surge in Republican votes as more than 900,000 ballots already returned.

00:32:02.440 Could the state of California actually be turning red? Early voters in the Golden State have already

00:32:07.980 returned more than 900,000 ballots ahead of the June 2nd primary, showing a massive surge in

00:32:14.300 Republican votes compared to four years ago for the governor's race. A post on Saturday from the

00:32:19.320 research firm, Political Data PDI, showed that out of 905,889 ballots that have been returned,

00:32:26.740 37 percent were from Republicans, with Republican returns up 11 percent compared to the same stage

00:32:35.080 of the 2022 midterm. So Republican votes up 11 percent. More shocking is the fact that the data

00:32:41.900 showed 41 percent of Democrats who have returned their ballots down 13 points from the same moment

00:32:48.340 in the primary election four years ago. So Republicans up 11 percent, Democrats down 13 percent.

00:32:54.640 Now, we all know because they tell us incessantly, Democrats are committed to democracy and they beat

00:33:02.940 their chest when they say it and they get a little tear in the corner of their eye. It is democracy

00:33:08.140 with a trademark on it. It is capital D democracy. And by democracy, what do they mean? They mean

00:33:14.320 any decision-making apparatus that elects democrats that's how they define democracy

00:33:20.260 if the voters vote for something they don't like to hell with the voters the democrats want what

00:33:25.460 they want so gavin newsom california has this really weird system of electing governors where

00:33:31.640 you vote for they're like 60 candidates on the ballot both republicans and democrats they got

00:33:36.380 rid of a primary and the way the way it works the top two candidate vote getters then go to a runoff

00:33:43.460 there are right now two strong Republicans who are in the top four, Steve Hilton and Chad

00:33:50.100 DeBanco. Those two could possibly end up one and two. If that happened, it would mean the

00:33:57.940 runoff would have only Republicans. By the way, it was Democrats who designed this system

00:34:01.600 because they wanted every election to feature just two Democrats. They wanted to ensure

00:34:05.720 that there wasn't even a Republican on the general election ballot. They assumed they

00:34:09.300 could take the top two seats and just clean. Every time. Yeah. Every time in this. And then

00:34:14.100 they'd never have to worry about a Republican winning again. You know, and it turns out when

00:34:17.720 you do things like like let your city burn to the ground, not fill in the water, let homeless people 0.54

00:34:23.340 on the streets, let let needles and robbery and and abuse the economic system so much, propose a 0.72

00:34:31.520 wealth tax to confiscate people's wealth, destroy jobs, cause a massive exodus of people fleeing

00:34:36.640 California. Turns out when you really, really, really screw up running the state or running,

00:34:41.320 say, the city of Los Angeles, eventually people notice. And so here's Gavin Newsom. I want you

00:34:47.340 to listen to Gavin Newsom talking about what would happen if Republicans win the top two spots in the

00:34:53.960 election, if California voters choose to vote Republican. We all have agencies. We can shape

00:34:58.780 the future. There's still a lot. Look, I've said this before, so I'll repeat it. I don't anticipate

00:35:04.800 this need to be the case, but there is a break the glass scenario. And there's many people that

00:35:10.340 have a deep understanding of what it would look like if Democrats were locked out. And we're

00:35:15.500 going to do everything to make sure that doesn't happen. So in other words, we're just going to

00:35:19.740 rig elections. Is that basically the response? Like, don't worry, this may happen once, but

00:35:23.640 it'll never happen again, Senator. Look, what he called the break the glass scenario, understand

00:35:29.300 what he's saying to the voters. If you pesky voters vote Republican, and if the top two

00:35:36.560 candidates that come into the runoff are both Republicans, he will, quote, break the glass.

00:35:42.640 And I don't know what the heck that means. What, throw one of the Republicans out of the election,

00:35:46.460 cancel the election? I mean, anything he's talking about, do you know what you just witnessed there?

00:35:52.560 A promise of an insurrection. That is, in fact, what he's doing.

00:35:56.540 I mean, it's a fair way of saying it.

00:35:58.100 You're basically saying, even if you guys decide to go a different way, we won't let you.

00:36:01.240 He said, we have the agencies.

00:36:02.900 We have the power.

00:36:04.080 They're a break-the-glass scenarios.

00:36:06.240 If Republicans win, this is, he's literally declaring war on the voters.

00:36:10.460 He's saying, you voters have no say in the state.

00:36:13.520 And if, God forbid, from his perspective, you choose to vote for Republicans, you deny us power,

00:36:19.560 we will use our power to crush the voters.

00:36:23.380 This is Democrats Gone Wild.

00:36:25.240 And look, Gavin Newsom, Abigail Spanberger, Kamala Harris, they're all doing the same thing.

00:36:30.840 They're freaking out, they're panicking, and they're saying we've got to keep changing the rules so that under no circumstances is it possible that we lose.

00:36:39.220 That's dangerous. It's cynical.

00:36:41.080 It is explicitly, as Kamala put it, an assault on the Constitution and an assault on democracy.

00:36:47.220 And this is where today's Democrats are.

00:36:49.320 It really is.
