00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.700 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.540 Welcome in is Vertical Center Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.060 For all the mothers out there that may be listening,
00:00:10.900 we hope you had a great Mother's Day weekend.
00:00:12.740 So happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there as well.
00:00:16.480 And Senator, we've got a lot to talk about today,
00:00:18.180 including the fact that AOC,
00:00:21.180 she wants to get rid of all the wealthy people in this country 1.00
00:00:23.920 and make it illegal for you to make a billion dollars. 1.00
00:00:26.040 It's pretty impressive.
00:00:27.220 Well, let me first of all say happy Mother's Day.
00:00:29.520 I took my mom out for brunch, and my mom is 91 years old.
00:00:34.760 She is amazing.
00:00:35.760 She is brilliant.
00:00:37.040 And it was just fun to hang out with me and my mom.
00:00:39.480 We had some one-on-one time and a really delightful time.
00:00:42.580 I hope everyone listening, I hope to all the moms who are listening, I hope your kids,
00:00:47.600 I hope your family embraced you, said thank you to you, and said how much we appreciate
00:00:53.740 everything moms do.
00:00:55.200 And to everyone else, I hope you did that to your mom, to your wife. 0.67
00:00:58.680 If you didn't, do it now, even if it's Mother's Day.
00:01:02.980 And you're in the doghouse, by the way.
00:01:04.460 If you're doing it this late, you're in the doghouse, so you better get a better gift.
00:01:07.560 But you know what? 1.00
00:01:09.100 Moms, there's a reason moms are the only things that rank above apple pie. 1.00
00:01:15.640 Amen to that. 0.89
00:01:16.800 It's a beautiful thing.
00:01:18.320 We've got one big story to talk about today.
00:01:20.400 It deals with socialism, communism, Marxism, and AOC.
00:01:24.440 She now wants to ban wealthy people in this country and says,
00:01:28.080 you didn't really earn it.
00:01:29.140 You can't make it up.
00:01:30.140 This is now the Democratic Party in a new shocking tell-all.
00:01:34.280 I want to also talk to you about your cell phone provider
00:01:36.880 and how would you like to know that every time you make a call,
00:01:39.500 every time you send a text,
00:01:40.460 you're actually standing up for the values you believe in.
00:01:43.020 Well, that is exactly what Patriot Mobile does
00:01:45.300 while offering you unbelievable satisfaction and quality
00:01:49.140 no matter where you're going around the country.
00:01:51.220 Every day, Americans make choices that shape our country's future, right down to which cell phone provider we support.
00:01:59.260 Here's what most people don't actually realize.
00:02:02.240 Patriot Mobile isn't just a wireless provider.
00:02:05.280 They're an activist organization funded by selling top-tier cell service.
00:02:10.480 They've been on the front lines defending our freedoms long before it was cool, standing up in the gap when others wouldn't.
00:02:17.180 The best part is they deliver prioritized, premium service on all three major U.S. networks,
00:02:24.460 giving you the same or even better coverage, backed by 100% U.S.-based customer support.
00:02:31.160 You get unlimited data, mobile hotspots, international roaming, and so much more.
00:02:36.260 But when you switch to Patriot Mobile, that's what I love the most.
00:02:39.840 You'll help grow a movement that fuels the Christian conservative cause.
00:02:43.800 Every bill you pay helps advance the values of faith, family, and freedom.
00:02:49.360 And switching is easier than ever.
00:02:51.760 You can literally activate in minutes, keep your number, keep your phone, or upgrade.
00:02:57.160 So take a stand today.
00:02:59.120 Go to patriotmobile.com slash Ferguson.
00:03:03.640 That's patriotmobile.com slash Ferguson.
00:03:06.740 Or call them, 972-PATRIOT.
00:03:09.720 That's 972-PATRIOT.
00:03:11.560 and use the promo code FERGUSON for a free month of service.
00:03:16.380 PatreonMobile.com slash FERGUSON or 972PATRIOT to make the switch today.
00:03:23.120 All right, Senator, so let's start with AOC.
00:03:26.000 And this is something you and I have been talking about for a really long time on this show.
00:03:30.580 There is a war on success in this country, and it is being led by the Democratic Party.
00:03:36.160 They don't want you to own your own stuff.
00:03:37.780 They don't want you to own your own business.
00:03:38.980 They don't want you to succeed.
00:03:39.980 They don't want you to keep more of your own money.
00:03:42.100 They believe that you are a worker bee for their socialist, communist, Marxist ideals.
00:03:46.640 And AOC went all the way to the University of Chicago Institute of Politics to now make her case yet again.
00:03:52.620 Well, communism is a dangerous ideology.
00:03:55.740 It is one based on deception, and it's one based on ignorance.
00:03:59.460 And I'm very hard-pressed to find anyone who combines deception and ignorance in more of a complete package than AOC.
00:04:08.240 She was with David Axelrod at the Institute for Politics in Chicago.
00:04:13.440 And one of the things she started off by saying is her understanding of the American Revolution.
00:04:18.400 And give a listen to what apparently, according to AOC, the American Revolution was all about.
00:04:24.320 The American Revolution was against the billionaires of their time.
00:04:30.960 and we're declaring independence from such an extreme marriage of wealth and power and the state
00:04:40.020 i mean i i i clearly need a refund in high school and college uh center because that's not what i
00:04:45.980 was taught at all by the way i didn't know there was a whole lot of billionaires back in the
00:04:48.940 revolution days but apparently there were yeah look if you wrote that answer on your ninth grade
00:04:55.420 history exam, you would get an F. Because it is not only a little bit wrong, it is not only kind
00:05:02.800 of slightly wrong, it is entirely 180 degrees opposite. What was the American Revolution
00:05:10.020 fought against? It was fought against arbitrary government power. It was fought against King
00:05:15.620 George. It was fought against government tyrants that tax you without representation. It was fought
00:05:21.900 against the aocs of the world the irony is literally she is an advocate of more and more 1.00
00:05:29.360 government power she wants to be able to tax the hell out of you she wants to be able to regulate 0.99
00:05:33.820 the hell out of you and she wants to ensure that you have no voice you don't get to say anything
00:05:38.940 she is in charge that's what it was fought against but but here's why her her retelling is is is so 0.97
00:05:45.460 both ignorant and dangerous which is do you know who funded the american revolution 0.92
00:05:52.980 who is that that that would be effectively the billionaires of that time there's a guy 0.97
00:05:58.160 named robert morris robert morris was the wealthiest man in america he was a philadelphia
00:06:02.980 financier and he put virtually all of his wealth into the american revolution he ended up he died
00:06:09.680 nearly bankrupt uh but wow he funded it he funded the american revolution you have other people
00:06:16.380 uh you you have other people like george washington george washington was one of the
00:06:21.120 richest men alive if you look at george washington's wealth by the time he died
00:06:26.260 if you adjusted it for inflation he had the equivalent in today's dollars of about 600
00:06:32.040 million dollars that's how wealthy george washington was thomas jefferson likewise
00:06:36.700 was incredibly wealthy a landowner in virginia it was we didn't have billionaires at the time
00:06:43.240 no one had accumulated a billion dollars but but the richest people in america are the people who
00:06:49.760 funded and supported the revolution against government power and listen like a little
00:06:55.040 marxist that she is she takes that story and turns it on its head and says the revolution
00:07:02.620 was against the american free enterprise that actually funded the revolution and what they
00:07:07.360 were fighting for was giving government more power she is the king george in this story and
00:07:14.580 those sorts of lies that is right at the heart look there's a reason the reason communists go
00:07:22.060 and try to undermine the american revolution it's the same reason by the way that say
00:07:25.680 anti-semites go and try to undermine what happened in world war ii and in particular cast out on the
00:07:32.280 holocaust because you go to foundational premises and and you turn them into bizarro land you turn
00:07:39.400 them upside down and and you end up with unfortunately some really confused young people 0.53
00:07:46.700 who haven't learned history and then she also had this to say let's just talk about billionaires in
00:07:51.520 general look part of the communist argument is nobody deserves to create any wealth government 0.62
00:08:00.400 The government should be in charge of your wealth because you don't do anything to create wealth.
00:08:03.580 The state is the only thing that should be wealthy.
00:08:05.420 You should be a minion.
00:08:06.220 So give a listen to what she says about today creating wealth and whether it's possible for anyone to generate a billion dollars in production and society.
00:08:20.000 There's a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned, right?
00:08:27.800 You can't earn a billion dollars.
00:08:31.960 That's right.
00:08:32.780 You just can't earn that.
00:08:34.740 That's exactly correct.
00:08:36.140 You can get market power.
00:08:39.920 You can break rules.
00:08:42.680 You can do all sorts of things.
00:08:44.640 You can abuse labor laws. 0.61
00:08:46.580 You can pay people less than what they're worth.
00:08:49.040 But you can't earn that, right?
00:08:51.240 And so you have to create a myth
00:08:54.540 that since you didn't earn that you have to create a myth of earning it a myth senator of earning it
00:09:04.040 that that's a whole new way of putting it and by the way i know some people that are billionaires
00:09:08.340 they earned it they didn't they didn't break a rule they didn't do any of the things she tried
00:09:13.800 to describe they actually created an amazing product or did something unbelievable or or
00:09:19.760 created something out of thin air and and many times that turns into something that's massive
00:09:24.040 and she's like no no that's impossible well there's a village somewhere that's missing its 1.00
00:09:28.980 idiot uh what what she is saying there it is bizarrely foolish and profoundly ideological 1.00
00:09:37.300 and of course the the left-wing interviewer there is oh yes that's right that's exactly right oh 1.00
00:09:42.500 yes yes you're right now to be clear i have to acknowledge you know aoc has not earned a billion
00:09:49.480 dollars she was a bartender nothing wrong with being a bartender bartender is an honorable
00:09:53.220 job to have. But she's right. If you're slinging drinks, you can't earn a billion dollars slinging
00:09:59.100 drinks. That's true. I mowed lawns as a teenager. Mowing lawns, I couldn't make a billion dollars
00:10:05.880 mowing lawns. There are a lot of jobs where you can't earn a billion dollars. Now, what does AOC
00:10:09.680 do today? She's a member of Congress. She's right. You can't earn a billion dollars as a member of 1.00
00:10:16.080 Congress unless you're like Nancy Pelosi, unless you're engaging in, say, insider trading. Set that
00:10:20.260 aside but let's actually look in history all right who have the billionaires been uh let's
00:10:26.380 look at the first billionaire uh in american history that was john d rockefeller what did
00:10:31.520 john d rockefeller do he discovered oil and he developed low-cost distribution for energy all
00:10:37.180 across the country produced enormous value transforming this nation transforming the
00:10:42.680 lives of millions of people one of the other early billionaires henry ford invented the model t
00:10:48.660 invented and and perfected the assembly line of production what did that do it literally
00:10:55.620 brought about the american middle class we went from a society where you had horses and carriages
00:11:01.820 and even horses and carriages were limited to people who were wealthy to to within a generation
00:11:07.100 having automobiles being widespread and being at a point where middle-class families could afford
00:11:13.440 an automobile now in AOC's telling Henry Ford did not generate a billion dollars worth of worth
00:11:19.760 I've got to say bringing up the creating effectively the American middle class both the
00:11:25.560 workers uh that worked for Henry Ford and worked in the auto industry that could go in and have
00:11:30.940 honorable jobs and make make money and go and buy a home and and raise their kids and have a house
00:11:36.180 with a backyard and a swing in the tree and and have a car parked in the driveway I mean that
00:11:41.600 for most of history, for millennia, you lived with lords and serfs. You lived with monarchs
00:11:50.020 and peasants, people that were scraping out subsistence, living, trying to farm enough food
00:11:56.060 on the ground, not to feed lots of other people, just to feed themselves and their own kids and
00:12:00.400 barely surviving. You had life expectancies at the time that our country began. Life expectancies,
00:12:07.380 people were dying in their 30s. Yeah. You look at the benefit of a Henry Ford or let's take Elon
00:12:14.460 Musk. So according to AOC, you cannot earn a billion dollars. Well, how about inventing the
00:12:22.740 Tesla, inventing and putting in place the manufacturing capability of Tesla to be the
00:12:30.920 world's dominant seller of electric vehicles, to sell millions of electric vehicles, by the way,
00:12:36.140 also developing the self-driving technology that now millions of people are putting their cars on
00:12:42.020 auto drive transforming how we are living within relatively short order as we see more and more
00:12:48.840 people moving to autonomous vehicles and self-driving one of the benefits of that every
00:12:53.800 year there are about 40 000 people who are killed in car accidents in within the next decade we're
00:13:00.500 going to see that number drop to nearly zero is saving 40 000 lives just because the autonomous
00:13:06.500 cars yes is saving 40 000 40 000 lives a year is that producing of a billion dollars of value how
00:13:15.280 about spacex spacex launching you know going to south texas going to boca chica where six seven
00:13:22.060 years ago that that was an empty strip of sand on the beach down in south texas i've been there
00:13:28.880 Elon built an entire city there, built an entire factory there that's manufacturing a rocket ship
00:13:36.860 a month. Over 90% of the satellites around the world are SpaceX or Starlink satellites. By the
00:13:45.680 way, Starlink producing connectivity all over the globe. You can be in the middle of the Amazon,
00:13:51.100 you could be on a deserted mountain somewhere in the middle of nowhere and nonetheless have
00:13:57.060 connectivity because elon has put satellites all around the globe and you want to talk about
00:14:02.020 changing changing going to space where it used to be for the entire space race you launch a rocket
00:14:08.920 and when you're done launching the rocket you throw the rocket away it crashes into the ocean
00:14:12.660 it burns away in the atmosphere it's never used again everyone knew that's the only way you could
00:14:17.140 do it elon said well why why not reuse it and he developed the the the technology that he launches
00:14:24.740 a rocket has it come down and giant arms giant chopsticks grab the spaceship and set it back
00:14:31.440 down on the landing plate that is crazy science fiction technology and yet for that sweet little
00:14:38.620 communist nothing elon has done has earned the money he has made the beauty of the american free
00:14:44.620 enterprise system you can earn today billions of dollars and many people have done so but the way
00:14:50.380 you do it is by inventing a product people work inventing want inventing a service for sure and
00:14:55.880 improving their lives look people's lives were better because henry ford created the model t 0.51
00:15:03.040 and created a system and manufacture it and and communists like aoc would say we're going to crush
00:15:10.860 those inventors we're going to crush those entrepreneurs we're going to move you to the 0.53
00:15:16.440 kind of poverty that comes when the communist government is in charge, whether that is in
00:15:22.360 Russia, whether that is in China, whether that is in Cuba, whether that is in North Korea.
00:15:27.880 And AOC, I'm sure she doesn't know the facts, but every place her system of government has 0.86
00:15:32.940 been implemented, communism, the result is crushing poverty, starvation, suffering, misery, 0.66
00:15:39.040 and it's also in terms of human rights, murder, torture, imprisonment, and in China at least
00:15:44.520 concentration camps. That's literally what the left is arguing for. And they don't know enough
00:15:50.660 and they're not honest enough to admit it. I got to ask you a question. Can you buy real Bitcoin
00:15:56.380 in your retirement account? Well, if not, it's time to upgrade to Bitcoin IRA. It's 2026 and
00:16:03.880 cryptocurrency is where so many investors are going and diversifying. And you can buy and sell
00:16:09.940 Bitcoin inside a tax-advantaged IRA with Bitcoin IRA. And that gives you more ways to diversify
00:16:17.200 and grow your retirement savings. Security is their number one priority, and your assets are
00:16:22.740 protected by military-grade multi-key security. And you're covered up to $250 million in digital
00:16:29.780 asset insurance as well. So what are you waiting for? Get in the Bitcoin game today and call and
00:16:37.140 talk to a real person. 866-679-7871. That's 866-679-7871. Or go online to Bitcoinira.com
00:16:53.400 slash Ben to open a free account and earn up to a thousand dollar bonus. That's Bitcoinira.com
00:17:02.060 slash Ben to open a free account and earn up to a thousand dollar bonus now.
00:17:07.140 You know, there's also something else she said, and she decided it was a good time to play the race card and talk about race and wealth.
00:17:12.560 I want to I want to play for you what she said and then get your reaction.
00:17:16.160 Take a listen.
00:17:16.620 There are very few like real archetypes of, in my opinion, truly what America is all about.
00:17:28.340 I think about the civil rights and voting rights movement and how black Americans really created
00:17:35.680 democracy in this country. That's exactly right. How they literally made something from nothing.
00:17:41.620 it is just beyond me. I think about how native people have survived and preserved
00:17:56.540 and treasured their culture. I think many of us think about immigrants,
00:18:07.640 which if you aren't from one of those first two populations, you are certainly from largely the
00:18:13.680 third. And so many of us like have our story of our parents, our grandparents, our great-great
00:18:23.320 grandparents, and so on and so forth. And who like come and make something from nothing.
00:18:30.160 And I think that's a big part of also the most inspiring elements of what America is all about.
00:18:39.340 That's her definition of what inspiring America is all about.
00:18:42.660 God help us.
00:18:43.840 Well, look, I will say that the actually third point she made, I agreed with her when she talked about the immigrant story that so many millions of Americans have.
00:18:53.240 But it's interesting what she described.
00:18:54.700 she said so many people whether us our parents or grandparents who came to america and made
00:18:59.860 something from nothing that's actually right and she screwed up and actually told the american
00:19:05.300 free enterprise story like accidentally i'm sure she didn't actually listen to the words she was
00:19:10.040 saying but look when my dad came from cuba in 1957 with a hundred dollars in his underwear he came
00:19:16.340 to america because as as aoc accurately put it there you could make something from nothing freedom
00:19:23.660 was possible you you could live your success didn't depend on who your parents were who your
00:19:29.340 grandparents are if if you had talent and hard work and a vision you could succeed it's why
00:19:34.240 millions of people come to this country but you look at the first half of what she said
00:19:38.180 it was like she was in a faculty lounge and just sort of signaling out all of the oppressed people
00:19:44.820 because it's it's intersectionality it's there's a whole spectrum i i was really waiting for her to 0.83
00:19:50.360 talk about like like like a lesbian hamas terrorist in a wheelchair like like how could you find
00:19:58.660 every element of oppression so she says she says well indigenous people that that they're 0.93
00:20:05.540 she just sort of emotes in their direction she doesn't actually say it's just check the
00:20:09.080 it's check the boxes she's just like oh you know we're on stolen land um mind you she's not 0.78
00:20:15.600 proposing giving Manhattan back she just is like stolen land stolen land America illegitimate 0.99
00:20:20.960 but look the comment she makes at the beginning which which is truly it's just ludicrous she says
00:20:27.420 black Americans created democracy in America now listen I think much of the journey of America has
00:20:35.280 been a journey towards equality a journey towards justice and and I agree with her the civil rights
00:20:40.540 movement in America was pivotal. But the idea that democracy was created in America by black 0.96
00:20:46.280 Americans is just wildly ahistorical. Where did democracy come from? Well, number one,
00:20:51.900 we don't have a pure democracy, a pure democracy. An Athenian democracy would be, say, all the
00:20:57.140 people get together and vote on the ultimate policy. So you get together and say, what should
00:21:02.340 the law be? Should the top tax rate be 10 percent, 20 percent, 30 percent or 90 percent? Everyone
00:21:07.780 votes and whatever wins that's what it is that's a pure democracy we don't have that we have a 1.00
00:21:12.440 republic we have representative democracy but her claim that black americans created democracy in
00:21:18.140 america no there were actually two processes that created democracy in america number one what we
00:21:23.880 are celebrating in july of this year the declaration of independence that that was the birthday of our
00:21:30.200 nation and and and it was thomas jefferson who penned the immortal words we hold these truths
00:21:36.040 to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their creator
00:21:41.300 with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
00:21:46.420 That declaration, by the way, declaring our independence not from billionaires, but from
00:21:52.080 oppressive government, from King George, that was the beginning of our nation, and then
00:21:58.000 some 20 years later, the United States Constitution, which created our democracy. I mean, if you want
00:22:04.820 to look at the moment that our democracy was created. It was the delegates in Constitution
00:22:09.240 Hall in Philadelphia who drafted the Constitution, who set up our system of government, and then the
00:22:14.520 states that had to ratify it. And once it was ratified, it went into effect. That is what has
00:22:21.040 created our democracy. Now, if she were speaking precisely, what she could have said is when our
00:22:28.260 democracy was created, it was imperfect. And we had to travel a journey to move towards greater
00:22:35.540 equality. That statement is unequivocally right. It is true. Yeah, accurate. When our nation was
00:22:40.820 created, African Americans in half the country were slaves. They had no right to vote. Women 0.99
00:22:47.560 had no right to vote. On the question of slavery, I've said many times, slavery is the original sin 1.00
00:22:54.780 of America. It was a grotesque evil. I will point out, though, that how did we abolish slavery?
00:23:01.320 Look, we abolished slavery. Number one, the person who did it was Abraham Lincoln,
00:23:05.040 the very first Republican president. Our party was created in order to defeat slavery. That was
00:23:11.140 the purpose. That's the origin of the Republican Party. The Democrat Party, by the way, virtually
00:23:17.140 its entire tenure defended slavery and fought ferociously in favor of slavery. But the way
00:23:23.680 the abolitionists in the Republican Party successfully abolished slavery was not by
00:23:29.940 attacking our founding principles, not by attacking the Constitution, not by attacking
00:23:34.640 the Declaration, but rather by appealing to those principles, by saying we are not living up when
00:23:42.960 Jefferson wrote the words, all men are created equal. That statement is on its face, completely
00:23:50.140 incompatible with slavery. Jefferson knew that. Yeah. He was brilliant. Yeah. And he was putting
00:23:55.280 into place, I believe with, I agree with Dr. Martin Luther King, who said the arc of history
00:24:02.760 is long, but it bends towards justice. But AOC, and this is true with the squad and with all of
00:24:10.580 the communists on the left, they're so ignorant that everything I just said there, they don't 0.99
00:24:15.420 know. They're told that the American Revolution was a communist revolution against the billionaires, 1.00
00:24:21.100 that the answer is more government power, and they repeat things like black Americans gave
00:24:27.660 us democracy, which is just simply not accurate. The civil rights movement was one of the greatest
00:24:34.140 democratic movements in our nation's history. By the way, she points to the Civil Rights Act. Look,
00:24:40.020 Civil Rights Act, far more Republicans, a much greater percentage of Republicans in Congress
00:24:44.200 voted for the Civil Rights Act than Democrats. Her party opposed the Civil Rights Act, 0.58
00:24:49.220 the majority of them. And so, yes, we're on a journey, but the left, their ignorance, 0.93
00:24:56.380 it is a close battle which predominates ideology or ignorance, but they're both intertwined and
00:25:05.180 they're both fundamentally wrong. I want to take a moment to tell you about an organization that
00:25:10.340 is called americans united for life alu is a non-profit law firm an advocacy group that was
00:25:17.440 founded in 1971 two years before roe established the constitutional right to an abortion before
00:25:24.200 fetal viability with the u.s supreme court's decision in dobbs v jackson in the women's
00:25:30.400 health organization overturning its 1973 ruling in roe v wade the non-profit law firm has seen
00:25:37.100 its biggest victory yet. Now, there are Democrats and liberals that are fighting back, and that's
00:25:43.040 where you and I have the opportunity to overturn pro-abortion laws and advance pro-life legislation
00:25:50.300 that attacks the most vulnerable in our society, from the womb to the tomb. Together, we can stand
00:25:57.600 side by side, and we can shape the future of our nation through life-affirming legislation
00:26:02.780 in every state and that is where your monthly gift $25 genuinely helps to advance pro-life
00:26:10.840 legislation desperately needed in 38 states to help pass pro-life legislation to defend life
00:26:18.200 for america's 250th birthday every gift they receive will be matched 2x up until $200,000
00:26:26.820 You can donate securely right now at A.L.U. dot org slash verdict.
00:26:34.820 That's A.U.L. dot org slash verdict.
00:26:38.780 A.U.L. dot org slash verdict.
00:26:41.080 Sponsored by Americans United for Life.
00:26:44.700 And by the way, AOC was not done there.
00:26:46.680 She also had another pretty interesting line.
00:26:50.160 She made it very clear that she wanted to say something about illegal immigrants
00:26:54.740 and saying through fear mongering that once they're all deported they're going to come after
00:26:58.820 other groups referring to republicans take a listen to this all of a sudden we now have
00:27:04.660 a paramilitary force we don't have a court system right they don't need they don't think they need
00:27:11.960 judicial warrants so you don't get due process so you start creating this black box system that's
00:27:18.320 point a finger, whether it's like, again, like we saw in Jim Crow, whether you just point a finger 0.50
00:27:27.340 and a hundred years ago, accuse a little black boy of something, you can point a finger and 0.57
00:27:33.860 accuse someone of that today. If you think once you build that machine, that it's only going to 0.77
00:27:40.800 be reserved to that. That's right. This eats profit. These things, ICE, it's not just ICE.
00:27:50.160 It's CoreCivic. It's GeoGroup. Those are corporations that run ICE detention centers.
00:27:57.880 They are for profit. They are traded on Wall Street. And what happens is that those companies
00:28:07.780 and this system is that it does not accept anything but growth.
00:28:15.500 It's not even good enough to be profitable.
00:28:18.940 It's not even good enough to be profitable.
00:28:21.220 You have to be more profitable and more profitable and more profitable.
00:28:25.460 It's not enough to be a profitable business.
00:28:27.540 You have to keep growing those profits.
00:28:30.040 And so once they've rounded up every person in this country,
00:28:32.420 who do you think is next? 0.51
00:28:33.360 You know, look, that that is the both the classic ignorance and misinformation of the left. So so they understand AOC supports a open border. So she wants to abolish the police. She wants to abolish ICE. She opposes all law enforcement that actually secures our border against foreign invaders, against illegal immigrants, against violent murderers, rapists, child molesters and gangbangers.
00:28:58.080 and her position has consistently been let all of them out of jail but at the same time she wants
00:29:04.540 to tell her her very ill-informed supporters if there are detention centers that are used for
00:29:11.800 illegal immigrants that are used for violent criminals those will be used by government
00:29:16.680 against you and and part of what is really astonishing is is if you look throughout history 0.93
00:29:24.000 In almost every instance where there have been mass detention centers, it's been the left that has put them in place.
00:29:30.900 You look at whether it is the Soviet gulags, where communists imprisoned millions.
00:29:38.520 You look at Joseph Stalin.
00:29:40.620 You read Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago and talks about the incredible miseries of communism imprisoning millions in prisons.
00:29:49.900 You look at my father's home country of Cuba and the prisons that are there right now.
00:29:54.800 You look at North Korea.
00:29:56.500 Cuba is communist.
00:29:57.920 Soviet Union was communist.
00:29:59.320 North Korea is communist.
00:30:00.960 You have gulags there.
00:30:03.340 You look at China.
00:30:04.400 China today has over a million Uyghurs who are religious minorities who are in concentration camps. 0.89
00:30:11.440 It's the largest instance of human slavery on the face of the planet. 0.88
00:30:15.220 That is communist China. 0.71
00:30:16.380 And by the way, you look at World War II, the Nazis – so leftists like to paint the Nazis as right, but let's be clear.
00:30:24.980 Nazis were national socialists. 0.67
00:30:27.860 That was their policy. 0.74
00:30:28.940 That's what Nazi stands for is national socialists. 0.77
00:30:32.140 The economic policy of the left is what the Nazis believed in, government control. 0.85
00:30:38.900 And I do want to be clear. 0.58
00:30:40.320 It's not just historical leftists who have imposed concentration camps.
00:30:44.720 Let me be very clear.
00:30:46.380 I think slavery is wrong, concentration camps are wrong, detention camps.
00:30:51.300 By the way, in the United States, which president created detention camps and detained American citizens?
00:30:58.800 I'm going to go with it was a Democrat, as I just want to be clear about this.
00:31:01.720 It is a Democrat. It was FDR who set up internment camps for Japanese Americans who were American citizens
00:31:08.940 and interned thousands of them, forcibly detained them during World War II. 0.62
00:31:13.100 That was a Democrat. By the way, she talks about Jim Crow. She probably doesn't know this, but do you know who wrote the Jim Crow laws? That would be Democrats. 0.50
00:31:21.600 Do you know who funded and founded the KKK? That would be Democrats. 0.72
00:31:28.760 And I want to read to give you something recent.
00:31:33.760 In 2020, there was an Iowa-based field organizer for Bernie Sanders' campaign who was caught on tape discussing the need for, quote, re-education camps for people who did not support Bernie Sanders, particularly for Trump supporters.
00:31:51.600 So, AOC, it is her side that has advocated we're going to put the people we disagree with in camps.
00:32:01.900 In some level, that's not shocking because the left has always been willing, if you support government power, you are willing to use that government power to lock up everyone who disagrees with you.
00:32:13.760 And there's something fundamentally different between locking up a violent criminal, locking up someone who has violated the law.
00:32:20.460 that is protecting the community that's protecting our citizens that is upholding the
00:32:24.640 rule of law there's something fundamentally different between that and rounding up and
00:32:30.600 locking up lawful citizens and in history virtually the only people to have done so
00:32:37.360 have been leftists have been communists like AOC and yet look I do think she studied Saul
00:32:44.400 Olenski's Rules for Radicals. She starts and throughout accuses her opponents of doing that
00:32:51.080 which she would do. And look, these interviews, truth matters. And let me say this as a final
00:32:59.760 point. This is a big part of the reason we do these podcasts, is to actually engage and give
00:33:06.580 you the substance. Because if someone is a young person and they're listening to AOC and they're
00:33:11.680 like, oh, yeah, the American Revolution fought to overcome the billionaires. We got to stop
00:33:17.440 those billionaires. This podcast is here to give you the facts and information to push back
00:33:22.940 on that dishonest and ignorant indoctrination. Yeah, no doubt. Don't forget, we do this show 0.98
