00:03:13.300 Verdict is also sponsored by American Hartford Gold.
00:03:16.660 I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed everything is getting expensive.
00:03:20.700 We are in the biggest economic crisis since 2008,
00:03:23.560 with a government that's printing trillions and trillions of dollars.
00:03:27.220 Consumer prices are the highest we've seen in 30 years.
00:03:29.620 Inflation is certainly here to stay.
00:03:31.140 And if the government continues its out-of-control printing and spending,
00:03:35.460 the dollar could continue its free fall
00:03:37.180 and lose its coveted role as the world reserve currency.
00:03:40.620 So how do you protect your money, your retirement, your savings?
00:03:44.420 Well, American Hartford Gold can show you how to hedge
00:03:46.620 your hard-earned savings against inflation
00:03:48.640 by helping you diversify a portion of your portfolio
00:03:51.620 into physical gold and silver.
00:03:54.000 They'll even help move your existing IRA or 401k
00:03:56.880 out of the volatile stock market into a precious metals IRA.
00:04:00.280 And they make it easy.
00:04:02.060 They're the highest-rated firm in the country
00:04:03.580 with an A-plus rating from the Better Business Bureau
00:04:05.880 and thousands of satisfied clients.
00:04:08.580 And if you call them right now,
00:04:09.880 they will give you up to $1,500 of free silver
00:04:12.760 on your first qualifying order.

00:04:20.260 That's 855-768-1883.

00:04:28.220 Again, that's 855-768-1883.
00:04:32.780 Or text CACTUS to 65532.
00:04:36.720 Welcome back to Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:04:38.860 It is so wonderful to be with our friend Liz Wheeler again.
00:04:42.040 Liz, I know you've been away.
00:04:43.680 You've been doing your own speeches.
00:04:44.760 You've been doing your show, The Liz Wheeler Show.
00:04:46.680 Last time I saw you, I was on your show
00:04:49.800 at the National Conservatism Conference
00:04:52.180 where all three of us actually were speaking.
00:04:55.640 And it's wonderful to be with you finally again.
00:04:58.620 Yeah, it's so good to see you.
00:04:59.820 It is funny how the three of us
00:05:01.120 tend to always be in the same location,
00:05:02.700 but not because of the same reason we come separately.
00:05:05.560 But we did.
00:05:06.160 We got to sit down for a long-form interview you and I did.
00:05:08.840 We did.
00:05:09.280 And we actually talked about this guy,
00:05:10.840 who's the other guy on this show.
00:05:12.720 What's his name?
00:05:13.380 He's the sitting U.S. senator.
00:05:14.600 I forget what's that.
00:05:15.080 Ted Cruz, yes.
00:05:15.680 I don't know if your ears were itching a little bit
00:05:17.560 when we did discuss you.
00:05:18.760 We did discuss your show,
00:05:19.560 even though you weren't there.
00:05:20.600 Whatever you said, I wasn't there.
00:05:22.140 I didn't do it.
00:05:22.760 Yeah, so whatever it is, total lies.
00:05:24.860 Do not believe a word of it.
00:05:26.580 Well, we're going to be getting into exactly
00:05:28.080 what happened here in not just,
00:05:30.960 not merely the political angles
00:05:33.440 and the media angles and the narratives,
00:05:34.760 but what actually happened in Kenosha, Wisconsin
00:05:37.340 that led to this trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:05:39.220 Then we will get to what it means.
00:05:41.020 So Liz, we will see you in just a little bit
00:05:43.260 when we need to process what all of this actually means.
00:05:46.460 Thanks, Michael.
00:05:47.680 Everybody at home, everybody at work
00:05:50.460 is talking about this verdict.
00:05:53.320 And it is an amazing thing because it is so polarized.
00:05:56.360 Listen, we live in a time where everything is polarized.
00:05:58.660 But the morality tale that is told
00:06:02.000 about the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse,
00:06:04.100 they're two different universes.
00:06:06.920 If you talk to someone on the left,
00:06:10.520 they are horrified.
00:06:11.940 They are shaken.
00:06:12.960 They're like, okay, some crazed white supremacist
00:06:17.480 illegally brought a gun across state lines
00:06:20.220 and then gunned down protesters.
00:06:22.340 And now he was set free
00:06:24.060 and vigilantes are encouraged to shoot anyone they want.
00:06:26.600 On the other side, you get a morality play of,
00:06:30.440 you know, Kyle Rittenhouse,
00:06:31.960 this great hero for justice was vindicated.
00:06:36.460 And listen, I am very glad for the verdict.
00:06:38.740 I think the jury reached the right verdict,
00:06:41.200 which is not guilty.
00:06:43.240 But by any measure,
00:06:45.440 what happened that night in Wisconsin was a tragedy.
00:06:48.280 And it was a tragedy on many fronts.
00:06:50.600 Because there is a lot of ignorance
00:06:52.600 just on the basic facts of the case.
00:06:55.220 You know, members of my own family
00:06:57.780 have reached out to me and said,
00:06:59.460 wait, I thought this happened.
00:07:00.420 Wait, I thought it was like this.
00:07:01.820 You know, and just getting things wrong.
00:07:03.620 Maria Shriver actually sent out a tweet.
00:07:06.000 Maria Shriver is as plugged in to the media
00:07:08.420 and to politics as it can possibly be
00:07:10.580 when you're a Kennedy.
00:07:12.060 And nevertheless,
00:07:13.640 she seemed not to understand the basic facts.
00:07:16.020 I think you had a little bit of an exchange
00:07:17.680 with her on Twitter.
00:07:18.800 Well, I did.
00:07:19.700 So her tweet was rather amazing
00:07:22.580 in that she tweeted,
00:07:25.260 she said,
00:07:25.940 I'm trying to take a beat
00:07:27.720 to digest the Rittenhouse verdict.
00:07:30.400 My son just asked me,
00:07:32.260 how is it possible
00:07:33.680 that he didn't get charged for anything?
00:07:37.320 How is that possible?
00:07:39.560 I don't have an answer for it.
00:07:42.000 And I got to say,
00:07:42.640 I read this and look on one level,
00:07:44.040 it's stunning.
00:07:45.200 I mean, this woman,
00:07:45.940 I looked actually at her Twitter.
00:07:48.120 I wasn't sure what she's doing now,
00:07:49.460 but her Twitter bio
00:07:51.420 describes herself today
00:07:53.100 as an NBC anchor.
00:07:54.420 So she is literally paid
00:07:55.660 to be a journalist
00:07:56.740 and presumably to report on the news.
00:07:59.740 And she has absolutely no idea
00:08:01.720 what occurred.
00:08:02.940 Try this.
00:08:04.180 Number one,
00:08:05.640 he was charged.
00:08:06.860 Remember, she starts with,
00:08:08.240 how could it be that he wasn't charged?
00:08:10.280 He was charged.
00:08:11.320 He obviously was charged.
00:08:12.720 There was a trial.
00:08:14.300 He was charged with six counts.
00:08:16.060 And as I tweeted,
00:08:17.180 that thing that just finished
00:08:18.660 was his trial.
00:08:21.080 Like, let's start with that.
00:08:22.560 NBC is claiming
00:08:23.480 he wasn't charged with anything.
00:08:26.180 Very basic facts.
00:08:27.820 Look, let's stop for a second
00:08:30.080 and go back to what happened that night.
00:08:33.160 Last year, we all remember,
00:08:35.400 we saw riots occurring across the country.
00:08:39.580 We saw violent riots occurring
00:08:41.900 across the country.
00:08:44.300 And we saw in the August of 2020,
00:08:48.860 in these riots,
00:08:50.260 we saw cars being firebombed.
00:08:53.260 We saw stores being looted.
00:08:55.400 We saw enormous mayhem.
00:08:58.720 And we saw it made even worse
00:09:00.460 by politicians,
00:09:02.260 almost exclusively Democrats,
00:09:04.480 and maybe exclusively Democrats,
00:09:06.520 refusing to enforce the laws.
00:09:09.140 And so allowing these riots to rage.
00:09:12.400 And in Kenosha, Wisconsin,
00:09:14.860 there were three days of violent riots
00:09:18.100 and hundreds of fires set
00:09:20.720 and stores looted
00:09:22.840 and car dealerships looted
00:09:24.300 and just rampant violence.
00:09:26.520 And this was led by BLM and Antifa.
00:09:30.520 I mean, the Kenosha riot
00:09:32.040 was specifically because
00:09:33.960 the cops shot Jacob Blake,
00:09:37.020 who was a man who was resisting arrest,
00:09:39.020 who was accused of sexual assault,
00:09:41.020 who was reaching into a car with a weapon.
00:09:43.220 The car had kids in it as well.
00:09:45.080 You know, there had been this long standoff
00:09:46.980 where he wouldn't submit to being arrested.
00:09:51.000 But even that
00:09:52.300 then caused days and days of riots
00:09:54.260 as though it were some grave injustice.
00:09:57.060 Yeah, you literally had a knife-wielding felon
00:10:00.100 who was threatening the police officers
00:10:03.160 who got shot.
00:10:04.080 And by the way,
00:10:04.760 it's a really bad idea
00:10:05.980 to threaten police officers with a weapon.
00:10:08.520 It can very easily end in deadly force.
00:10:11.760 And that is what occurred there.
00:10:14.020 But in this hyper-leftist environment,
00:10:17.780 a criminal threatening a police officer
00:10:20.760 with a weapon who in turn faces deadly force
00:10:23.740 becomes lionized as a hero.
00:10:26.720 Yeah.
00:10:27.340 And we had riots occurring for multiple days.
00:10:30.740 Now, Kyle Rittenhouse, he was 17 years old.
00:10:33.580 Kyle lived about 20 miles away from Kenosha.
00:10:37.080 So he lived in Illinois.
00:10:38.280 It is true he lived in Illinois.
00:10:40.120 But right on the state line
00:10:42.120 between Illinois and Wisconsin.
00:10:45.060 And Kenosha, Wisconsin is where
00:10:47.840 Kyle Rittenhouse's mom lived.
00:10:50.540 It's where Kyle actually worked.
00:10:51.900 He worked as a lifeguard in Kenosha.
00:10:54.060 So to say cross state lines,
00:10:55.660 people get this image of someone,
00:10:57.460 you know,
00:10:58.340 me traveling from Texas
00:11:00.280 to New York or something.
00:11:02.460 You know,
00:11:03.840 I mean,
00:11:04.140 this was 20 miles away from his house.
00:11:06.440 This was his neighborhood
00:11:07.880 where his mom worked,
00:11:09.020 where his mom lived,
00:11:10.280 where he worked.
00:11:11.800 And there were multiple days of protests.
00:11:14.180 And so Kyle went there
00:11:15.800 to help protect the stores,
00:11:20.320 help protect the properties
00:11:21.420 that were being burned,
00:11:22.580 that were being looted.
00:11:24.200 And that sadly,
00:11:25.920 that the local law enforcement
00:11:27.440 was not protecting.
00:11:30.160 He went there.
00:11:31.960 One of the things
00:11:32.960 that has been widely reported
00:11:34.580 that people say is,
00:11:35.800 well,
00:11:35.940 he was illegally carrying a gun.
00:11:38.320 That is, in fact, false.
00:11:40.420 He actually did not carry
00:11:41.640 any gun across state lines.
00:11:43.640 When he got to Wisconsin,
00:11:45.100 he met a friend there
00:11:46.180 who had an AR-15.
00:11:47.540 Now, what is an AR-15?
00:11:49.060 And this is, again,
00:11:49.900 where people don't,
00:11:51.480 people don't necessarily
00:11:53.400 understand the language.
00:11:54.440 An AR-15 is a rifle.
00:11:55.980 It's not a machine gun.
00:11:57.660 An AR-15 is a legal rifle.
00:11:59.880 In fact, it's the most popular rifle
00:12:01.880 in the United States of America.
00:12:03.800 It is a common rifle
00:12:05.300 used for home defense.
00:12:09.020 The difference,
00:12:10.300 for those who are not
00:12:11.780 familiar with firearms,
00:12:14.180 between an automatic rifle
00:12:15.980 and a semi-automatic rifle,
00:12:17.320 an automatic rifle
00:12:18.100 is a machine gun.
00:12:19.260 You hold the trigger down
00:12:20.380 and lots of bullets come out.
00:12:23.100 A semi-automatic rifle,
00:12:25.100 you pull the trigger once,
00:12:26.600 one bullet comes out.
00:12:27.620 You pull the trigger again,
00:12:28.760 a second bullet comes out.
00:12:30.000 So it takes one bullet
00:12:31.700 for each pull of the trigger
00:12:32.840 is the difference
00:12:33.440 between automatic
00:12:34.300 and semi-automatic.
00:12:36.200 Generally speaking,
00:12:37.440 automatic rifles,
00:12:39.380 machine guns,
00:12:40.200 are largely,
00:12:41.360 they're functionally illegal.
00:12:42.500 They've been functionally illegal
00:12:43.920 for over 80 years.
00:12:44.880 You have very,
00:12:45.460 very limited licenses
00:12:46.380 and permits to get one,
00:12:48.000 but as a practical matter,
00:12:49.600 most Americans,
00:12:50.440 it's illegal to own a machine gun.
00:12:52.180 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:12:52.680 didn't have a machine gun.
00:12:53.640 He had a semi-automatic rifle.
00:12:54.900 That rifle was his friend's rifle
00:12:57.980 that his friend allowed him
00:13:01.240 to use in Kenosha that night
00:13:03.140 because they were both going out
00:13:04.420 to try to protect
00:13:05.240 the local community,
00:13:06.300 protect the local community
00:13:07.480 from violent criminals
00:13:09.060 that were threatening
00:13:09.800 the community.
00:13:11.120 So on the claim
00:13:12.600 that he had an illegal gun,
00:13:14.720 we know that claim is false
00:13:16.340 because I mentioned a minute ago
00:13:17.540 he had six charges.
00:13:19.940 One of the charges
00:13:21.120 that was brought against him
00:13:22.520 was that he was carrying
00:13:25.000 a gun illegally.
00:13:26.700 That charge was dismissed
00:13:28.160 by the trial court.
00:13:29.060 As a matter of law,
00:13:30.020 the court ruled
00:13:30.880 that it was wrong,
00:13:33.000 that it was legal
00:13:33.940 for him to possess
00:13:34.760 the firearm he had.
00:13:36.020 So that claim is false.
00:13:37.960 What happened
00:13:38.560 was a violent riot
00:13:39.540 was unfolding
00:13:40.240 and the violent riot
00:13:41.980 consisted of a lot
00:13:43.820 of really violent criminals.
00:13:45.880 The first individual
00:13:49.560 that Rittenhouse encountered
00:13:52.420 was a violent felon
00:13:58.040 named Rosenbaum.
00:14:01.420 Rosenbaum was a convicted
00:14:04.140 child molester,
00:14:05.240 someone who served 15 years
00:14:06.940 in prison.
00:14:07.420 A serial child molester
00:14:08.960 was more than one time.
00:14:11.900 He pleaded guilty
00:14:13.180 to two counts
00:14:14.200 of molesting teenage boys.
00:14:16.840 At the time
00:14:17.920 he was charged,
00:14:18.660 it was alleged
00:14:19.180 that he had molested
00:14:20.160 five different teenage boys
00:14:22.860 and he pleaded guilty
00:14:24.000 and served 15 years for it.
00:14:25.420 So you were talking
00:14:26.200 a serious,
00:14:28.040 violent criminal
00:14:28.840 and child molester.
00:14:31.260 Rosenbaum
00:14:31.860 saw Rittenhouse,
00:14:38.540 angrily pursued Rittenhouse,
00:14:40.720 screamed at him
00:14:42.760 that he was going
00:14:43.340 to kill Rittenhouse,
00:14:45.760 chased Rittenhouse
00:14:47.040 and tried to physically
00:14:49.460 grab his gun.
00:14:52.360 Now, Kyle Rittenhouse
00:14:53.720 is running away
00:14:55.440 at the time.
00:14:57.440 He's facing
00:14:58.600 a large,
00:15:00.720 angry,
00:15:02.000 violent felon
00:15:03.100 who is screaming
00:15:05.280 death threats at him
00:15:06.620 and trying to physically
00:15:09.080 take his gun
00:15:10.020 and it is quite reasonable
00:15:11.440 for someone to believe
00:15:13.320 if the violent criminal
00:15:14.340 succeeds in taking your gun
00:15:15.920 that he will do
00:15:17.900 what he is threatening
00:15:18.620 to do
00:15:19.020 which is to kill you.
00:15:20.820 And so Kyle Rittenhouse
00:15:22.000 shoots Rosenbaum
00:15:23.400 and kills Rosenbaum
00:15:24.320 as he's trying
00:15:26.080 to take his gun.
00:15:28.320 At this point,
00:15:29.880 what does Rittenhouse
00:15:32.000 do next?
00:15:32.860 And remember the narrative
00:15:34.060 that's being told
00:15:34.960 of he's this,
00:15:35.720 you know,
00:15:36.760 crazed vigilante.
00:15:38.020 He's out there
00:15:39.080 like wanting
00:15:39.740 to shoot people.
00:15:41.980 Rittenhouse begins
00:15:42.980 running towards
00:15:44.080 the police barricades
00:15:45.380 trying to turn himself in.
00:15:49.320 Um,
00:15:50.020 and a mob
00:15:52.360 chases him.
00:15:53.060 So Rittenhouse
00:15:54.440 running toward the cops
00:15:55.840 presumably
00:15:56.660 not because
00:15:58.600 he believes
00:15:59.400 he has committed
00:15:59.880 some crime
00:16:00.460 but as he's doing it
00:16:01.220 this mob,
00:16:02.400 this Antifa
00:16:03.380 and BLM mob
00:16:04.840 starts chasing after him
00:16:06.400 and Rittenhouse
00:16:07.300 goes down.
00:16:08.400 Now at this point
00:16:09.080 you get the second
00:16:10.100 interaction that's in play
00:16:11.580 with the Rittenhouse trial
00:16:13.600 and that is
00:16:14.500 Anthony Huber.
00:16:15.760 So Anthony Huber,
00:16:17.100 another convicted felon
00:16:18.000 comes up
00:16:18.720 and Huber
00:16:19.100 doesn't have a gun.
00:16:21.140 Huber has
00:16:21.760 a skateboard.
00:16:23.320 Now at a lot
00:16:24.260 of these BLM
00:16:25.020 and Antifa riots
00:16:25.960 the weapons
00:16:27.320 that are used
00:16:27.940 are not always
00:16:28.860 conventional weapons.
00:16:30.180 Sometimes it's
00:16:30.820 a baseball bat.
00:16:31.580 Sometimes it's
00:16:32.840 a skateboard.
00:16:33.920 Sometimes it's
00:16:35.300 a can of soup.
00:16:36.860 They'll actually
00:16:37.200 throw cans at you
00:16:38.020 because cans are very heavy
00:16:38.920 and if they clock you
00:16:39.860 on the head
00:16:40.340 that's not going to
00:16:42.100 leave you feeling
00:16:42.720 very good
00:16:43.260 and that can really
00:16:44.120 do some damage.
00:16:45.140 But this is
00:16:45.900 a part that's
00:16:46.780 a little bit
00:16:47.320 controverted
00:16:48.340 because what
00:16:49.080 the defenders
00:16:49.680 of these felons
00:16:51.320 and Antifa
00:16:52.000 and BLM
00:16:52.500 were saying
00:16:52.940 is that Rittenhouse
00:16:54.260 had no right
00:16:55.120 to shoot a guy
00:16:56.120 who was simply
00:16:57.200 hitting him
00:16:58.180 with a skateboard.
00:16:58.920 Actually one of
00:16:59.480 the prosecutors
00:17:00.000 in the case
00:17:00.640 said look
00:17:01.520 everybody takes
00:17:02.520 a beating
00:17:02.960 every now and again.
00:17:04.160 Is that
00:17:04.440 the legal standard?
00:17:06.900 You know
00:17:07.280 it's not.
00:17:09.200 You have a right
00:17:10.260 to defend yourself
00:17:11.160 from an imminent threat
00:17:12.380 to your life
00:17:14.120 and an imminent threat
00:17:15.040 of harm
00:17:15.520 and he's afraid
00:17:17.040 for his life
00:17:17.700 and so Huber
00:17:18.320 is the second person
00:17:19.460 as this guy
00:17:19.960 is assaulting him
00:17:20.820 again
00:17:21.200 that he shoots
00:17:22.500 and kills Huber.
00:17:25.060 He then has
00:17:26.020 a third
00:17:27.080 violent felon
00:17:28.660 Gage Grosskreutz
00:17:31.140 who
00:17:32.540 a third
00:17:34.440 convicted felon
00:17:35.380 is chasing him.
00:17:39.780 Grosskreutz
00:17:40.340 is armed.
00:17:41.000 Now interestingly
00:17:41.660 somebody here
00:17:42.480 did have a gun
00:17:43.120 illegally
00:17:43.460 that would be
00:17:43.980 Gage Grosskreutz
00:17:45.140 who was the felon
00:17:46.400 who illegally
00:17:47.060 had a firearm
00:17:47.800 was carrying it
00:17:48.500 illegally
00:17:48.860 without a license.
00:17:50.940 And
00:17:51.260 Gage testifies
00:17:53.980 at the trial
00:17:54.880 that he points
00:17:56.660 his gun
00:17:57.280 directly at
00:17:58.660 Kyle
00:17:59.880 from three feet
00:18:01.240 away
00:18:01.500 points his gun
00:18:02.560 and when he
00:18:03.580 points his gun
00:18:04.380 Kyle fires again
00:18:05.500 hits him in the arm
00:18:06.400 doesn't kill Gage
00:18:08.320 Gage survives
00:18:09.040 and testifies
00:18:09.720 but does real damage
00:18:10.560 to his arm.
00:18:12.760 Those are the three
00:18:13.720 people that were
00:18:14.300 shot that night.
00:18:16.640 Now it's worth
00:18:17.620 noting several
00:18:18.400 of the facts
00:18:19.220 that the media
00:18:20.740 got wrong.
00:18:21.400 Number one
00:18:22.020 there are
00:18:24.460 I'd be willing
00:18:25.140 to bet
00:18:25.620 tens of millions
00:18:27.360 of people
00:18:27.920 across America
00:18:29.200 who believe
00:18:30.260 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:18:31.080 shot three black men
00:18:32.240 because this has all
00:18:33.960 been painted
00:18:34.400 as a racial
00:18:35.380 attack.
00:18:37.420 As it so
00:18:38.400 happens
00:18:38.940 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:18:41.620 did not shoot
00:18:42.500 any African
00:18:43.300 Americans.
00:18:44.040 All three of the
00:18:44.860 people he shot
00:18:45.540 were white.
00:18:47.100 Secondly
00:18:47.620 you know
00:18:49.240 it's interesting
00:18:49.720 I've heard
00:18:50.100 some people
00:18:50.540 who say
00:18:50.880 well
00:18:51.440 Rittenhouse
00:18:53.340 didn't know
00:18:54.320 these guys
00:18:55.480 were criminals
00:18:56.040 and it's worth
00:18:57.300 pausing and thinking
00:18:58.180 why is it
00:18:58.960 that all three
00:18:59.680 of the
00:19:00.080 people who
00:19:01.020 were shot
00:19:01.540 were criminals
00:19:02.880 and let me
00:19:03.520 just say
00:19:03.920 look
00:19:04.260 when you're
00:19:05.200 at a violent
00:19:06.100 riot
00:19:06.560 where they're
00:19:08.140 committing
00:19:08.580 crimes
00:19:10.160 all around
00:19:10.880 you
00:19:11.140 where they're
00:19:11.480 burning cars
00:19:12.220 where they're
00:19:12.660 looting
00:19:13.140 many of the
00:19:15.200 people
00:19:15.480 I'd venture
00:19:16.020 to say
00:19:16.460 most of the
00:19:17.220 people there
00:19:17.860 are criminals.
00:19:19.820 Well this is
00:19:20.180 I think
00:19:20.460 where the
00:19:20.740 confusion
00:19:21.180 comes from
00:19:23.340 because
00:19:23.720 the way
00:19:24.420 the media
00:19:24.860 presented
00:19:25.480 this riot
00:19:26.340 is they said
00:19:26.820 it was a
00:19:27.180 peaceful
00:19:27.760 protest
00:19:28.320 of anti-racist
00:19:29.980 demonstrators
00:19:30.700 and so yes
00:19:31.560 if you're
00:19:32.160 at a
00:19:32.420 peaceful
00:19:32.920 protest
00:19:33.360 of anti-racist
00:19:34.220 demonstrators
00:19:34.780 then you have
00:19:35.740 no reason
00:19:36.180 to believe
00:19:36.660 that the
00:19:36.960 people
00:19:37.260 who are
00:19:37.860 around
00:19:38.260 you
00:19:38.480 are
00:19:38.680 criminals
00:19:39.120 but
00:19:39.840 that wasn't
00:19:40.560 the reality
00:19:41.120 if you are
00:19:42.020 at a
00:19:42.640 violent
00:19:42.940 riot
00:19:43.260 with arson
00:19:43.860 and looting
00:19:44.360 and assault
00:19:45.100 and attempted
00:19:46.160 murder
00:19:46.540 then there's
00:19:47.660 a very good
00:19:48.080 chance
00:19:48.440 if you're
00:19:48.800 if you are
00:19:49.320 around
00:19:49.720 antifa
00:19:50.500 or some
00:19:51.580 of the
00:19:51.840 more lurid
00:19:52.380 figures of
00:19:52.920 BLM
00:19:53.460 there is a
00:19:54.360 statistically
00:19:55.320 it's almost
00:19:55.980 a statistical
00:19:56.540 certainty
00:19:57.100 that you are
00:19:57.920 around
00:19:58.400 criminals
00:19:59.080 so we
00:20:00.440 know what
00:20:01.180 happened
00:20:01.560 which is
00:20:01.920 very different
00:20:02.440 than what
00:20:02.800 the media
00:20:03.120 told us
00:20:03.720 happened
00:20:04.440 we know
00:20:05.740 that legally
00:20:06.980 Rittenhouse
00:20:07.720 was in the
00:20:08.220 right
00:20:08.500 we know
00:20:09.360 that the
00:20:09.920 judge
00:20:10.560 you know
00:20:11.480 then the
00:20:12.040 jury
00:20:12.340 reached that
00:20:12.960 conclusion
00:20:13.400 certainly
00:20:13.720 the jury
00:20:14.020 reached that
00:20:14.480 conclusion
00:20:14.880 and so
00:20:15.760 he has
00:20:16.160 been
00:20:16.440 exonerated
00:20:17.460 in this
00:20:17.960 trial
00:20:18.400 but now
00:20:19.520 now that
00:20:19.820 we know
00:20:20.060 what did
00:20:20.760 happen
00:20:21.100 I think
00:20:21.700 the important
00:20:22.060 thing is
00:20:22.420 to ask
00:20:22.880 what does
00:20:23.900 it mean
00:20:24.320 and for
00:20:24.600 that I think
00:20:24.900 we should
00:20:25.080 bring in
00:20:25.320 our friend
00:20:25.660 Liz Wheeler
00:20:26.300 who is back
00:20:27.140 Liz
00:20:27.500 wonderful to
00:20:28.360 be with you
00:20:28.740 again
00:20:29.000 thank you
00:20:29.760 so much
00:20:30.160 Michael
00:20:30.440 Senator
00:20:30.740 I think
00:20:31.420 a lot
00:20:31.720 of people
00:20:32.040 when they
00:20:32.580 hear the
00:20:33.220 analysis
00:20:33.580 or read
00:20:33.960 the facts
00:20:34.520 see the
00:20:35.780 reality of
00:20:36.280 what actually
00:20:36.640 happened
00:20:37.040 yes they're
00:20:37.760 very grateful
00:20:38.220 that our
00:20:38.600 system of
00:20:39.040 justice worked
00:20:39.680 in this
00:20:40.160 particular instance
00:20:42.340 what happens
00:20:42.540 next what
00:20:43.360 does this
00:20:43.660 mean what
00:20:44.920 do we do
00:20:45.300 moving forward
00:20:46.020 and one of
00:20:46.820 the biggest
00:20:47.100 questions that
00:20:47.840 I've seen
00:20:48.560 from people
00:20:49.680 all over our
00:20:50.200 country of all
00:20:50.620 political stripes
00:20:51.340 is what does
00:20:52.540 it mean when
00:20:53.080 the Department
00:20:53.460 of Justice
00:20:53.920 now says
00:20:54.600 that they are
00:20:55.020 going to
00:20:55.340 potentially conduct
00:20:56.200 a review
00:20:56.720 of this
00:20:57.160 verdict can
00:20:58.040 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:20:58.740 be tried
00:20:59.200 again or
00:20:59.700 what might
00:21:00.200 that mean
00:21:00.600 for him
00:21:01.020 well look
00:21:02.160 the Biden
00:21:03.520 Justice
00:21:03.940 Department
00:21:04.440 it's been
00:21:05.040 fairly striking
00:21:05.860 in less
00:21:07.020 than a year
00:21:07.700 they've managed
00:21:09.380 to exceed
00:21:10.060 the bar
00:21:10.620 for the
00:21:11.020 Obama Justice
00:21:11.740 Department
00:21:12.220 in terms
00:21:12.700 of politicizing
00:21:13.720 the Department
00:21:14.160 of Justice
00:21:14.600 and I think
00:21:15.200 that is an
00:21:15.660 exceedingly
00:21:16.500 troubling
00:21:17.500 development
00:21:18.120 that under
00:21:19.000 Merrick Garland
00:21:19.740 this has been
00:21:20.560 a left-wing
00:21:21.860 Democratic
00:21:22.560 Department
00:21:23.000 of Justice
00:21:23.600 I think
00:21:25.200 if the Department
00:21:25.920 of Justice
00:21:26.440 went after
00:21:26.920 Rittenhouse
00:21:27.420 it would be
00:21:27.780 an absolute
00:21:28.560 abuse of power
00:21:29.420 and a partisan
00:21:30.040 abuse of power
00:21:30.860 there was a trial
00:21:32.220 the jury heard
00:21:33.000 the evidence
00:21:33.440 the worst
00:21:34.400 conduct
00:21:35.160 in the aftermath
00:21:36.680 of that night
00:21:37.780 was from
00:21:39.640 the media
00:21:40.200 and from
00:21:41.620 Democratic
00:21:42.160 politicians
00:21:42.820 who
00:21:44.000 over and
00:21:45.100 over and
00:21:45.500 over again
00:21:46.120 referred to
00:21:46.700 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:21:47.380 as a white
00:21:48.140 supremacist
00:21:49.080 Senator
00:21:50.040 the President
00:21:50.560 of the United
00:21:51.020 States
00:21:51.380 referred to
00:21:52.020 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:21:52.700 as a white
00:21:53.120 supremacist
00:21:53.640 he put him
00:21:53.980 in a campaign
00:21:54.480 ad
00:21:54.720 the wild
00:21:56.600 irresponsibility
00:21:58.100 of Democrat
00:21:58.920 after Democrat
00:21:59.800 it was a good
00:22:01.360 political narrative
00:22:02.460 to say this
00:22:03.160 teenager was a
00:22:04.020 white supremacist
00:22:04.820 the only problem
00:22:05.700 for their story
00:22:07.320 was there were
00:22:08.540 no facts at the
00:22:09.480 trial that backed
00:22:10.280 it up
00:22:10.720 and
00:22:12.040 they said it
00:22:13.920 anyway
00:22:14.280 they said it
00:22:15.220 deliberately
00:22:15.720 they said it
00:22:16.420 repeatedly
00:22:17.000 and listen
00:22:18.240 this is something
00:22:18.780 I've been saying
00:22:19.360 for some time
00:22:20.140 I think there
00:22:20.680 are a bunch
00:22:21.480 of
00:22:22.920 media outlets
00:22:24.960 and Hollywood
00:22:26.840 celebrities
00:22:27.500 who had better
00:22:29.360 hire some
00:22:30.100 defamation lawyers
00:22:31.160 because Rittenhouse
00:22:32.920 is going to be
00:22:33.460 suing a lot of
00:22:34.200 them
00:22:34.460 and they don't
00:22:35.820 have a defense
00:22:36.540 they don't have
00:22:37.060 a good defense
00:22:37.740 because they're
00:22:38.240 people who are
00:22:38.880 actually in a
00:22:40.120 position to know
00:22:40.960 facts and they
00:22:41.840 decided this
00:22:43.080 17 year old's
00:22:44.160 life doesn't
00:22:45.600 matter to me
00:22:46.520 I'm going to
00:22:47.220 call him a
00:22:47.760 Nazi and who
00:22:49.060 cares what the
00:22:49.700 facts are because
00:22:50.580 it fits my
00:22:51.360 politics
00:22:52.040 well I think
00:22:53.160 that's what a
00:22:53.600 lot of people
00:22:54.040 are wondering
00:22:54.520 now is
00:22:55.260 knowing that
00:22:56.020 we have
00:22:56.300 very strong
00:22:56.820 free speech
00:22:57.340 protections in
00:22:58.020 America
00:22:58.400 we don't have
00:22:59.600 as much of an
00:23:00.740 opportunity for
00:23:01.360 libel suits or
00:23:02.280 slander or anything
00:23:03.420 as they have in
00:23:04.620 other countries
00:23:05.220 does Rittenhouse
00:23:06.540 have a case
00:23:07.200 is he going to
00:23:08.100 become the new
00:23:08.980 owner of CNN
00:23:10.400 or the Washington
00:23:11.160 Post or any
00:23:12.020 of those outlets
00:23:12.640 so I think
00:23:13.960 Rittenhouse has a
00:23:14.700 very strong case
00:23:15.980 I think he will
00:23:17.840 file defamation
00:23:18.820 lawsuits
00:23:19.340 I hope he is
00:23:20.580 retained
00:23:21.200 good and
00:23:22.240 effective lawyers
00:23:22.980 and I think
00:23:23.640 he is going to
00:23:23.940 have to assess
00:23:24.480 I think there
00:23:24.880 are a lot of
00:23:25.500 potential candidates
00:23:26.420 to be defendants
00:23:27.900 for these lawsuits
00:23:28.760 and you know
00:23:30.820 there is a
00:23:31.960 famous
00:23:32.580 Supreme Court
00:23:34.260 decision called
00:23:34.960 New York Times
00:23:35.540 versus Sullivan
00:23:36.200 that concerns
00:23:38.040 the standards
00:23:38.840 for defamation
00:23:39.720 and basically
00:23:40.540 what it says
00:23:41.480 is if someone
00:23:42.280 is a public
00:23:42.940 figure
00:23:43.380 if someone
00:23:44.960 is
00:23:45.600 has injected
00:23:47.340 themselves
00:23:48.020 into the
00:23:48.560 public
00:23:48.860 discussion
00:23:49.460 that there's
00:23:50.800 a higher
00:23:51.260 standard
00:23:51.880 to prove
00:23:52.300 defamation
00:23:52.780 so alright
00:23:53.400 I'm a public
00:23:54.280 figure
00:23:54.540 I'm a US
00:23:54.980 senator
00:23:55.300 I ran for
00:23:55.800 office
00:23:56.060 I've been
00:23:56.400 elected
00:23:56.780 you can have
00:24:00.340 the New York
00:24:00.800 Times can say
00:24:01.620 nasty stuff
00:24:02.440 about me
00:24:02.880 and they do
00:24:03.420 on any given
00:24:04.020 day
00:24:04.240 they probably
00:24:04.760 have today
00:24:05.540 and as a
00:24:07.920 general matter
00:24:08.660 it is very
00:24:09.460 very hard
00:24:10.200 for me to
00:24:11.140 sue them
00:24:11.740 for defamation
00:24:12.700 why
00:24:13.300 because the
00:24:14.300 Supreme Court
00:24:14.800 New York
00:24:15.140 Times
00:24:15.420 versus Sullivan
00:24:16.080 said for me
00:24:16.860 to succeed
00:24:17.580 in a defamation
00:24:18.320 suit
00:24:18.780 I have to
00:24:20.200 prove actual
00:24:21.560 malice
00:24:22.100 it's a standard
00:24:22.800 they invented
00:24:23.440 which is a
00:24:24.120 higher standard
00:24:25.540 that basically
00:24:26.340 they have to
00:24:27.280 to know
00:24:29.120 they're lying
00:24:30.000 or be
00:24:31.480 utterly reckless
00:24:32.940 in saying
00:24:33.540 we don't give a
00:24:34.120 damn if we're
00:24:34.620 lying we're just
00:24:35.280 going to spread
00:24:35.720 it anyway
00:24:36.160 and so it's
00:24:36.960 it's a pretty
00:24:37.680 high standard
00:24:38.340 the interesting
00:24:39.500 thing about
00:24:40.040 Rittenhouse
00:24:40.540 I think
00:24:41.160 Rittenhouse
00:24:41.680 has a real
00:24:42.240 argument
00:24:42.600 that he was
00:24:43.100 not a public
00:24:43.680 figure
00:24:44.060 he was a
00:24:45.040 teenage kid
00:24:45.920 who the
00:24:46.960 press made
00:24:47.600 a public
00:24:48.020 figure
00:24:48.400 but but
00:24:49.880 when when
00:24:50.480 when you
00:24:50.920 started seeing
00:24:51.980 the media
00:24:52.640 and celebrities
00:24:53.700 and Democrats
00:24:54.480 attacking him
00:24:55.520 he had not
00:24:58.000 done anything
00:24:58.700 to make
00:24:59.300 himself a
00:24:59.860 public figure
00:25:00.380 yes he was
00:25:00.960 a defendant
00:25:01.360 in trial
00:25:01.800 but that
00:25:02.080 happened
00:25:02.340 later
00:25:02.680 and for
00:25:03.600 that matter
00:25:04.060 after the
00:25:04.840 jury verdict
00:25:05.400 after it
00:25:06.180 was clear
00:25:06.700 that there
00:25:07.060 wasn't any
00:25:07.480 evidence at
00:25:08.120 trial he was
00:25:08.540 a white
00:25:08.780 supremacist
00:25:09.420 we saw
00:25:10.640 a bunch
00:25:11.240 of media
00:25:11.860 folks
00:25:12.260 repeating
00:25:13.040 the same
00:25:13.760 lies
00:25:14.260 I mean
00:25:14.580 I gotta
00:25:15.180 say the
00:25:15.580 ones that
00:25:16.040 doubled down
00:25:16.640 after the
00:25:17.200 verdict
00:25:17.520 they really
00:25:19.940 should have
00:25:20.380 put like a
00:25:21.380 giant kick
00:25:22.000 me sign on
00:25:22.680 their back
00:25:23.240 except instead
00:25:24.580 of kick me
00:25:25.040 it should have
00:25:25.420 said sue me
00:25:26.040 because they
00:25:27.020 don't care
00:25:27.700 what the
00:25:28.060 truth is
00:25:28.700 they're going
00:25:29.580 to spread
00:25:30.080 their political
00:25:30.660 message
00:25:31.260 truth be damned
00:25:32.840 and I very
00:25:33.940 much hope
00:25:34.580 the people
00:25:36.480 who were
00:25:36.860 willing to
00:25:37.460 spread lies
00:25:38.220 and didn't
00:25:38.860 care about
00:25:39.600 the truth
00:25:40.200 I hope we
00:25:42.000 see some
00:25:42.380 very big
00:25:43.400 damages
00:25:45.840 awarded to
00:25:47.460 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:25:48.220 well I think
00:25:48.800 this idea
00:25:49.480 that Kyle
00:25:50.060 Rittenhouse
00:25:50.360 and I agree
00:25:50.800 Senator
00:25:51.120 I mean it
00:25:51.740 seems that
00:25:52.180 he's going
00:25:52.460 to be in
00:25:52.740 physical danger
00:25:53.400 even his
00:25:53.980 lawyer and
00:25:54.560 his family
00:25:55.040 have mentioned
00:25:55.780 as much
00:25:56.240 but this
00:25:56.780 speaks to
00:25:57.180 the bigger
00:25:57.440 philosophical
00:25:58.040 idea that
00:25:58.620 the left
00:25:59.020 isn't interested
00:25:59.960 in the pursuit
00:26:00.500 of justice
00:26:00.900 they aren't
00:26:01.460 interested in
00:26:02.000 saying listen
00:26:02.380 the jury
00:26:02.760 spoke and
00:26:03.800 even if we
00:26:04.680 disagree with
00:26:05.140 the jury
00:26:05.380 this is how
00:26:05.820 our criminal
00:26:06.140 justice system
00:26:06.780 works
00:26:07.000 no they're
00:26:07.680 interested in
00:26:08.180 destroying this
00:26:08.880 kid
00:26:09.380 they're interested
00:26:10.040 in destroying
00:26:10.500 Kyle Rittenhouse
00:26:11.140 his life
00:26:11.700 his reputation
00:26:12.460 his future
00:26:13.440 because they're
00:26:14.340 interested in
00:26:14.920 destroying the
00:26:15.520 institution
00:26:16.000 our criminal
00:26:16.500 justice system
00:26:17.280 this presumption
00:26:18.260 of innocence
00:26:18.720 until proven
00:26:19.320 guilty
00:26:19.640 and they
00:26:20.360 admitted as
00:26:21.100 much on
00:26:21.800 Twitter
00:26:22.100 during the
00:26:23.420 trial itself
00:26:23.940 of course
00:26:24.440 but in the
00:26:25.080 aftermath
00:26:25.500 but kind of
00:26:26.560 staying within
00:26:27.300 this same
00:26:27.820 train
00:26:28.160 I don't think
00:26:28.920 they're going
00:26:29.260 to relent
00:26:30.840 I don't think
00:26:31.480 they're going
00:26:31.760 to give it
00:26:32.140 up
00:26:32.340 I don't think
00:26:33.140 they're going
00:26:33.380 to stop
00:26:33.760 coming after
00:26:34.380 him
00:26:34.600 there's already
00:26:35.380 been talk
00:26:35.940 that they're
00:26:36.500 going to be
00:26:36.900 civil lawsuits
00:26:37.800 against him
00:26:38.580 against Kyle
00:26:39.800 Rittenhouse
00:26:40.340 on behalf of
00:26:41.460 some of the
00:26:41.780 victims
00:26:42.120 from a legal
00:26:42.700 perspective
00:26:43.200 what do you
00:26:43.500 make of that
00:26:44.020 look I think
00:26:45.380 they can bring
00:26:45.920 lawsuits
00:26:46.440 I think the
00:26:46.980 lawsuits are
00:26:47.920 very unlikely
00:26:49.380 to be successful
00:26:50.240 that may not
00:26:51.440 stop people
00:26:52.280 from filing
00:26:52.980 harassment lawsuits
00:26:54.120 to try to
00:26:55.140 proceed
00:26:55.600 you know
00:26:58.020 we've seen
00:26:58.580 we've seen
00:26:58.600 we've seen in
00:26:58.760 some circumstances
00:26:59.740 you think
00:27:00.180 OJ Simpson
00:27:00.800 where there
00:27:01.220 were civil
00:27:01.580 lawsuits
00:27:02.080 that had
00:27:03.660 a lower
00:27:03.940 threshold
00:27:04.540 and a greater
00:27:04.940 chance of
00:27:05.360 success
00:27:05.720 than the
00:27:05.980 criminal
00:27:06.220 trial
00:27:06.620 this is
00:27:07.660 very different
00:27:08.260 I mean
00:27:08.540 OJ Simpson
00:27:09.440 was not
00:27:09.880 an instance
00:27:10.300 of self
00:27:10.920 defense
00:27:11.400 in this
00:27:14.160 case
00:27:14.680 look I think
00:27:15.900 what we have
00:27:16.540 seen
00:27:17.200 in and around
00:27:18.800 and in the
00:27:19.220 aftermath of
00:27:19.880 the Kyle
00:27:20.200 Rittenhouse
00:27:20.660 trial
00:27:21.100 is the
00:27:22.300 perversion
00:27:22.960 and destruction
00:27:23.880 of our
00:27:24.260 justice system
00:27:25.040 from the
00:27:25.400 hard left
00:27:25.960 and that
00:27:27.680 was true
00:27:28.200 on multiple
00:27:29.080 levels
00:27:29.600 during the
00:27:30.940 trial you
00:27:31.480 saw much
00:27:31.980 of the
00:27:32.180 media
00:27:32.420 you saw
00:27:32.820 many of
00:27:33.160 the left
00:27:33.440 wing
00:27:33.600 commentators
00:27:34.260 demonizing
00:27:35.460 the judge
00:27:35.960 attacking
00:27:36.480 the judge
00:27:37.020 personally
00:27:37.780 trying to
00:27:38.820 defame
00:27:39.260 the judge
00:27:39.880 the judge
00:27:40.900 by the way
00:27:41.440 is trying
00:27:41.860 to enforce
00:27:42.360 the law
00:27:42.740 so for
00:27:43.120 example
00:27:43.700 by the way
00:27:44.380 this
00:27:44.620 prosecution
00:27:45.700 this
00:27:46.980 prosecutor
00:27:47.800 is the
00:27:49.040 gomer pile
00:27:50.240 of screw
00:27:51.560 ups
00:27:51.980 is one
00:27:53.560 of the
00:27:53.780 worst
00:27:54.000 trial lawyers
00:27:54.700 I've ever
00:27:55.140 seen
00:27:55.540 he got
00:27:56.440 repeatedly
00:27:57.020 admonished
00:27:57.640 from the
00:27:58.160 trial judge
00:27:58.680 because he
00:27:59.240 kept doing
00:27:59.700 things wrong
00:28:00.300 he stood
00:28:00.680 up to the
00:28:01.100 jury
00:28:01.340 and said
00:28:01.760 can you
00:28:02.560 believe
00:28:03.200 he
00:28:04.360 exercised
00:28:05.120 his right
00:28:05.600 to be
00:28:06.680 silent
00:28:07.160 well
00:28:07.980 you're
00:28:08.600 allowed
00:28:08.880 to do
00:28:09.200 that
00:28:09.400 the
00:28:09.560 Fifth
00:28:10.460 Amendment
00:28:10.760 protects
00:28:11.280 your
00:28:11.540 right
00:28:11.720 to remain
00:28:12.160 silent
00:28:12.720 the
00:28:14.840 moment
00:28:15.380 that
00:28:15.680 really
00:28:16.260 encapsulates
00:28:17.140 it
00:28:17.320 is when
00:28:17.580 the
00:28:17.740 prosecutor
00:28:18.200 took
00:28:18.860 the
00:28:19.980 AR-15
00:28:20.720 and pointed
00:28:21.600 it at
00:28:22.020 the jury
00:28:22.600 with his
00:28:23.520 finger
00:28:23.960 on the
00:28:24.360 trigger
00:28:24.680 which is
00:28:26.100 horrific
00:28:26.560 and by
00:28:26.980 the way
00:28:27.220 anyone who
00:28:27.780 has the
00:28:28.160 barest
00:28:28.460 modicum
00:28:28.940 of firearms
00:28:29.740 training
00:28:30.220 knows you
00:28:30.680 don't put
00:28:31.000 your finger
00:28:31.380 on the
00:28:31.660 trigger
00:28:31.780 you don't
00:28:32.080 point the
00:28:32.540 gun
00:28:32.800 at anybody
00:28:33.940 unless you
00:28:35.280 are in a
00:28:35.620 situation
00:28:36.220 where you
00:28:36.940 are prepared
00:28:37.500 to and
00:28:37.900 may need
00:28:38.320 to use
00:28:38.720 lethal force
00:28:39.460 and you
00:28:40.300 don't put
00:28:40.680 your finger
00:28:41.100 on the
00:28:41.400 trigger
00:28:41.740 unless you
00:28:42.480 are prepared
00:28:43.020 to it
00:28:43.420 in the
00:28:43.620 instance of
00:28:44.400 pulling the
00:28:45.280 trigger to
00:28:45.680 fire the
00:28:46.080 gun
00:28:46.300 and it
00:28:47.040 you know
00:28:48.160 to be
00:28:48.400 honest
00:28:48.740 when he
00:28:49.300 pointed it
00:28:50.000 at the
00:28:50.640 jury
00:28:50.880 it reminded
00:28:51.320 me of
00:28:51.740 Alec Baldwin
00:28:52.640 I mean
00:28:52.940 it was
00:28:53.960 something
00:28:54.460 nobody who
00:28:56.120 was familiar
00:28:56.560 with firearms
00:28:57.300 would possibly
00:28:58.380 do
00:28:58.920 and yet
00:28:59.980 this clown
00:29:00.780 was literally
00:29:01.720 pointing a
00:29:02.520 gun and
00:29:02.880 hoping it
00:29:03.300 was unloaded
00:29:04.540 at the
00:29:05.240 jury
00:29:05.500 but the
00:29:07.340 perversion
00:29:07.860 of justice
00:29:08.600 those on
00:29:10.080 the left
00:29:10.500 and that
00:29:10.760 includes
00:29:11.120 Democrats
00:29:11.580 and media
00:29:12.720 and Hollywood
00:29:13.660 they don't
00:29:14.660 care that
00:29:15.240 the jury
00:29:15.620 heard the
00:29:16.040 evidence
00:29:16.400 and has
00:29:16.700 spoken
00:29:17.040 they don't
00:29:17.940 care about
00:29:18.460 self-defense
00:29:19.100 Stephen Colbert
00:29:19.780 says well
00:29:20.280 if the law
00:29:20.760 says that
00:29:21.240 it's self-defense
00:29:21.960 we should
00:29:22.640 change the
00:29:23.120 law
00:29:23.320 so what
00:29:24.080 they're
00:29:24.320 saying is
00:29:25.080 you should
00:29:26.300 not have
00:29:26.780 the right
00:29:27.260 if someone
00:29:28.280 is violently
00:29:29.240 attacking
00:29:29.840 you
00:29:30.080 if you
00:29:30.420 are on
00:29:30.960 the ground
00:29:31.540 if a mob
00:29:32.200 is chasing
00:29:32.760 you
00:29:32.960 if they're
00:29:33.260 beating
00:29:33.700 you
00:29:33.980 if they
00:29:34.540 are threatening
00:29:35.160 to kill
00:29:35.720 you
00:29:36.020 you should
00:29:37.300 not have
00:29:37.960 the right
00:29:38.300 to defend
00:29:38.720 yourself
00:29:39.160 that's
00:29:40.500 scary stuff
00:29:41.340 but the
00:29:42.760 perversion
00:29:43.140 of justice
00:29:43.640 is broader
00:29:44.200 than that
00:29:44.780 all of
00:29:46.360 this
00:29:46.660 began
00:29:47.440 because
00:29:49.060 left-wing
00:29:49.540 prosecutors
00:29:50.220 and left-wing
00:29:50.840 politicians
00:29:51.480 refused to
00:29:52.420 enforce the
00:29:53.080 law
00:29:53.360 and protect
00:29:54.220 the community
00:29:54.800 from Kenosha
00:29:55.480 against violent
00:29:56.240 rioters
00:29:57.060 if law
00:29:58.100 enforcement
00:29:58.620 had been
00:29:58.980 allowed to
00:29:59.480 do its
00:29:59.780 job
00:30:00.140 to arrest
00:30:00.960 the rioters
00:30:01.580 to put
00:30:01.960 them in
00:30:02.220 jail
00:30:02.440 to put
00:30:02.780 them in
00:30:03.020 handcuffs
00:30:03.500 you know
00:30:03.900 what
00:30:04.040 Rosenbaum
00:30:04.600 would have
00:30:04.860 still been
00:30:05.200 alive
00:30:05.660 Huber
00:30:06.220 would have
00:30:06.560 still
00:30:06.760 been
00:30:06.940 alive
00:30:07.200 they would
00:30:07.480 have
00:30:07.560 been
00:30:07.680 arrested
00:30:08.080 for being
00:30:08.520 violent
00:30:08.880 criminals
00:30:09.280 and rioting
00:30:10.020 but they
00:30:10.600 would have
00:30:10.880 still been
00:30:11.260 alive
00:30:11.620 but the
00:30:12.140 politicians
00:30:12.860 created
00:30:13.520 this
00:30:13.900 problem
00:30:14.380 and I
00:30:15.400 gotta say
00:30:15.880 we saw
00:30:16.340 a manifestation
00:30:16.960 of that
00:30:17.680 tragically
00:30:18.680 this week
00:30:19.940 again in
00:30:21.140 Wisconsin
00:30:21.740 with the
00:30:22.780 horrific
00:30:23.220 Christmas
00:30:23.860 parade
00:30:24.780 the
00:30:25.920 lunatic
00:30:27.400 who drove
00:30:28.880 the SUV
00:30:29.540 into that
00:30:30.540 parade
00:30:31.140 killing
00:30:32.680 wounding
00:30:35.360 dozens
00:30:36.400 I think
00:30:36.760 upwards of
00:30:37.320 40 people
00:30:38.300 including
00:30:38.680 young
00:30:39.080 children
00:30:39.660 it was
00:30:40.960 horrific
00:30:41.720 and you
00:30:43.860 notice the
00:30:44.320 media isn't
00:30:44.880 covering
00:30:45.240 what caused
00:30:46.480 it
00:30:46.720 you had an
00:30:47.860 individual
00:30:48.420 number one
00:30:49.260 a black
00:30:51.280 lives matter
00:30:52.020 supporter
00:30:52.680 a rapper
00:30:53.380 a repeat
00:30:55.640 felon
00:30:56.180 who
00:30:58.220 had just
00:30:59.760 recently
00:31:00.640 been arrested
00:31:01.440 for what
00:31:02.180 for running
00:31:03.680 someone over
00:31:04.700 with his car
00:31:05.300 not just
00:31:05.720 someone
00:31:06.100 the mother
00:31:06.520 of his
00:31:06.840 child
00:31:07.360 the same
00:31:08.500 car that he
00:31:09.160 used to
00:31:09.600 commit this
00:31:10.060 crime
00:31:10.400 he had
00:31:11.060 run her
00:31:11.680 over with
00:31:12.360 to violently
00:31:13.280 assault her
00:31:14.200 he had
00:31:14.820 been arrested
00:31:15.500 and there's a
00:31:17.060 left-wing
00:31:17.640 prosecutor
00:31:18.400 the district
00:31:19.360 attorney in
00:31:19.920 Milwaukee
00:31:20.340 who was
00:31:21.140 elected with
00:31:21.820 George Soros'
00:31:22.600 financial support
00:31:23.640 he's part of
00:31:24.060 the left-wing
00:31:24.540 prosecutors
00:31:25.120 across the
00:31:25.800 country
00:31:26.160 who don't
00:31:27.800 prosecute
00:31:28.760 violent
00:31:29.160 criminals
00:31:29.700 they let
00:31:30.740 this guy
00:31:31.280 go
00:31:31.700 Michael
00:31:32.140 do you
00:31:32.360 know what
00:31:32.560 his bail
00:31:32.880 was that
00:31:33.300 they let
00:31:33.540 him go
00:31:33.820 on
00:31:34.040 so
00:31:35.300 he was
00:31:36.040 it's hard
00:31:37.020 to keep
00:31:37.300 track
00:31:37.580 because he's
00:31:37.940 been arrested
00:31:38.400 so many
00:31:38.840 times in
00:31:39.340 recent years
00:31:40.020 the first
00:31:41.020 time
00:31:41.700 gosh
00:31:42.880 it was
00:31:43.540 either
00:31:43.900 500 or
00:31:44.880 a thousand
00:31:45.440 dollars
00:31:45.900 and I
00:31:46.160 think it
00:31:46.360 was a
00:31:46.580 thousand
00:31:46.820 dollars
00:31:47.120 this time
00:31:47.580 too
00:31:47.860 yeah
00:31:48.580 it was
00:31:48.980 a thousand
00:31:49.640 dollars
00:31:50.100 he was
00:31:50.480 on bail
00:31:51.060 for running
00:31:52.180 over the
00:31:52.860 mother of
00:31:53.420 his child
00:31:54.080 with the
00:31:54.480 car
00:31:54.740 he was
00:31:55.060 out on
00:31:55.560 bail
00:31:55.820 and just
00:31:56.180 a few
00:31:56.520 days later
00:31:57.120 boom
00:31:57.460 he runs
00:31:58.040 over
00:31:58.460 dozens
00:31:59.620 of people
00:32:00.400 and it's
00:32:01.900 the same
00:32:02.500 problem
00:32:03.080 when you
00:32:03.680 have
00:32:04.260 left-wing
00:32:05.460 politicians
00:32:06.200 prosecutors
00:32:07.240 DA's
00:32:08.540 governors
00:32:09.140 mayors
00:32:09.920 that refuse
00:32:10.880 to enforce
00:32:11.940 the law
00:32:12.620 violent
00:32:14.340 criminals
00:32:15.000 target
00:32:15.900 innocent
00:32:17.160 citizens
00:32:17.740 and whether
00:32:18.460 that is
00:32:19.140 burning
00:32:19.740 stores
00:32:20.440 and car
00:32:21.040 lots
00:32:21.320 in
00:32:21.480 Kenosha
00:32:22.040 or
00:32:22.660 or
00:32:23.060 I mean
00:32:23.640 what a
00:32:24.080 nightmare
00:32:24.440 the videos
00:32:25.080 of that
00:32:25.900 lunatic
00:32:26.380 driving
00:32:26.820 into that
00:32:27.260 parade
00:32:27.780 is the
00:32:28.360 stuff of
00:32:29.340 nightmares
00:32:29.860 but it's
00:32:31.640 not an
00:32:32.000 accident
00:32:32.360 it's the
00:32:32.900 result
00:32:33.460 of policies
00:32:34.560 destroying
00:32:35.320 our justice
00:32:36.100 system
00:32:36.680 which the
00:32:38.040 radical left
00:32:38.720 is trying
00:32:39.140 to spread
00:32:39.520 across the
00:32:39.980 country
00:32:40.260 and this
00:32:40.820 is the
00:32:41.220 dark side
00:32:42.180 of criminal
00:32:42.860 justice
00:32:43.400 reform
00:32:43.980 which is
00:32:45.140 the euphemism
00:32:45.840 that is used
00:32:46.360 for movements
00:32:46.820 as radical
00:32:47.320 as abolishing
00:32:47.960 the police
00:32:48.380 or abolishing
00:32:48.920 prisons
00:32:49.360 Rashida Tlaib
00:32:50.400 the democrat
00:32:51.040 congressman
00:32:51.700 continues to
00:32:52.760 maintain
00:32:53.180 that we need
00:32:54.120 to empty
00:32:54.960 out federal
00:32:55.560 prisons
00:32:55.960 within 10
00:32:56.460 years
00:32:56.640 empty them
00:32:57.080 all out
00:32:57.420 not leave
00:32:57.860 a single
00:32:58.460 person
00:32:58.880 in them
00:32:59.620 and this
00:33:00.280 is
00:33:00.540 it sounds
00:33:01.400 all very
00:33:01.900 nice
00:33:02.360 and happy
00:33:02.940 and feel
00:33:03.440 good
00:33:03.800 and kumbaya
00:33:04.420 and we're
00:33:04.880 going to be
00:33:05.500 really compassionate
00:33:06.240 to the
00:33:06.580 criminals
00:33:06.880 well here's
00:33:07.720 the flip
00:33:08.080 side
00:33:08.340 is that
00:33:08.700 people
00:33:09.040 who have
00:33:09.580 done
00:33:09.720 very bad
00:33:10.260 things
00:33:10.660 who are
00:33:10.940 not
00:33:11.140 reformed
00:33:11.680 who are
00:33:11.840 going to
00:33:12.000 do
00:33:12.120 really
00:33:12.340 bad
00:33:12.600 things
00:33:12.840 again
00:33:13.100 go out
00:33:13.900 and what
00:33:14.260 do they
00:33:14.460 do
00:33:14.700 surprise
00:33:15.120 surprise
00:33:15.560 they do
00:33:16.360 really bad
00:33:17.040 things
00:33:17.260 this is
00:33:17.560 the practical
00:33:18.380 effect
00:33:18.900 of the
00:33:19.920 extremes
00:33:20.380 of criminal
00:33:20.820 justice
00:33:21.240 reform
00:33:21.660 and hopefully
00:33:22.280 people can
00:33:23.180 learn a lesson
00:33:23.780 from that
00:33:24.360 republicans
00:33:25.320 certainly
00:33:25.680 but hopefully
00:33:26.240 democrats
00:33:26.840 too
00:33:27.080 because I
00:33:27.500 don't think
00:33:27.780 people like
00:33:28.220 to see
00:33:28.560 their
00:33:29.140 communities
00:33:29.780 being torched
00:33:30.580 and looted
00:33:31.860 and attacked
00:33:33.920 by these
00:33:34.900 criminals
00:33:35.280 I want
00:33:35.700 to take
00:33:36.040 a minute
00:33:36.500 and praise
00:33:38.120 the courage
00:33:39.460 of the
00:33:40.360 12 members
00:33:40.900 of the
00:33:41.120 jury
00:33:41.360 look
00:33:42.820 it was
00:33:43.680 not
00:33:43.900 complicated
00:33:44.620 that
00:33:45.980 there was
00:33:47.460 and remains
00:33:48.220 a very
00:33:49.100 real threat
00:33:49.820 to their
00:33:50.160 physical
00:33:50.500 safety
00:33:51.000 and lives
00:33:51.740 left-wing
00:33:52.800 activists
00:33:53.340 were taking
00:33:53.800 their pictures
00:33:54.480 I mean
00:33:54.780 heck
00:33:54.980 MSNBC
00:33:55.660 was banned
00:33:56.500 from the
00:33:56.880 courtroom
00:33:57.420 because
00:33:58.720 the cameraman
00:33:59.640 was allegedly
00:34:00.480 trying to
00:34:01.040 follow the
00:34:01.660 jurors
00:34:02.140 and I
00:34:03.180 promise you
00:34:03.800 those jurors
00:34:04.640 knew
00:34:05.020 if we
00:34:06.580 vote to
00:34:08.420 acquit
00:34:08.920 we may
00:34:10.700 find radicals
00:34:11.700 threatening
00:34:12.020 us and
00:34:12.480 our families
00:34:13.040 and you
00:34:13.940 know it's
00:34:14.260 easy to
00:34:14.840 say well
00:34:15.480 of course
00:34:15.840 they did
00:34:16.180 the right
00:34:16.520 thing
00:34:16.860 look jurors
00:34:17.580 get scared
00:34:18.360 and it
00:34:20.800 was
00:34:21.500 there were
00:34:22.740 a lot of
00:34:23.160 forces that
00:34:23.820 wanted to
00:34:24.360 use the
00:34:24.840 threat of
00:34:25.340 violence
00:34:25.900 to intimidate
00:34:27.920 those jurors
00:34:28.660 to convict
00:34:29.300 that kid
00:34:29.980 facts be
00:34:30.780 damned
00:34:31.220 we want
00:34:32.480 a scalp
00:34:33.120 and I
00:34:33.860 just want
00:34:34.260 to praise
00:34:34.860 those 12
00:34:35.560 men and
00:34:35.920 women
00:34:36.120 for doing
00:34:36.920 the right
00:34:37.600 thing
00:34:38.080 in the
00:34:38.440 face
00:34:38.920 of a
00:34:39.980 real risk
00:34:40.820 of intimidation
00:34:41.600 and violence
00:34:42.120 that is a
00:34:43.180 moment
00:34:43.480 to be proud
00:34:44.960 of our
00:34:45.280 country
00:34:45.660 and our
00:34:45.960 justice
00:34:46.280 system
00:34:46.840 for
00:34:47.760 ordinary
00:34:48.600 Americans
00:34:49.520 doing their
00:34:51.100 duty and
00:34:51.540 following the
00:34:52.000 law
00:34:52.200 absolutely
00:34:53.040 courage
00:34:54.180 and moral
00:34:54.680 clarity
00:34:55.100 are in
00:34:55.640 short supply
00:34:56.160 so it's
00:34:56.600 really edifying
00:34:57.600 and gratifying
00:34:58.200 to see people
00:34:59.060 exercise that
00:35:00.360 all right
00:35:00.640 we've got to go
