00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.520 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.300 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.360 And this show is going to deal a lot with the insanity of the woke movement.
00:00:14.020 A university program is now linking Christians and Republicans to Nazis.
00:00:19.160 And your tax dollars are helping pay for that.
00:00:21.740 Plus, a very interesting debate at colleges.
00:00:25.500 And a scene that has now been deleted that we're supposed to all say,
00:00:29.600 we're sorry it was ever made.
00:00:31.640 Senator, great to be with you.
00:00:33.600 And I want to first talk about this university program.
00:00:36.500 It's costing American taxpayer dollars.
00:00:39.980 A grant through the Department of Homeland Security is now linking, quote,
00:00:44.440 Christians and Republicans to Nazis.
00:00:49.160 Well, sadly, that's exactly right.
00:00:50.860 The Department of Homeland Security has a program called the Targeted Violence
00:00:54.980 and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program, which gives funds to, quote,
00:01:00.620 establish or enhance capabilities to prevent targeted violence and terrorism.
00:01:05.420 So you might think, OK, this is going after Al Qaeda.
00:01:09.280 This is going after jihadists.
00:01:12.020 This is going after, you know, maybe it's going after Klansmen.
00:01:16.020 Maybe it's going after Antifa.
00:01:17.560 It's going after people who engage in acts of violence and terrorism.
00:01:22.580 Well, you would be wrong.
00:01:25.080 The Biden administration has awarded 80 grants through this program,
00:01:29.100 totaling just under $40 million.
00:01:31.060 The lowest grant was for $85,000.
00:01:34.420 The highest was just over $1.1 million.
00:01:37.440 And one of the grantees who got $352,109 was Prevent's Ohio program to, quote,
00:01:50.080 draw on the expertise of the University of Dayton faculty to fight domestic violence,
00:01:56.100 extremism, and hate movements.
00:01:58.520 And the university's grant application linked to a controversial Dayton conference
00:02:04.660 where an academic researcher presented a chart that is entitled
00:02:10.000 The Pyramid of Far-Right Radicalizations.
00:02:14.320 Now, what are the organizations and movements displayed on the pyramid?
00:02:18.380 One is the Republican Party.
00:02:21.040 Another, the Heritage Foundation.
00:02:24.040 Another, the American Conservative Union.
00:02:27.180 Another, Fox News.
00:02:28.480 Another, Breitbart News.
00:02:29.960 Another, the National Rifle Association.
00:02:31.980 Another, Prager University.
00:02:33.320 Another, the Tea Party Patriots.
00:02:35.480 Another, the Make America Great Again movement.
00:02:38.120 Another, the pro-police Blue Lives Matter movement.
00:02:41.700 And another, the Christian Broadcasting Network.
00:02:45.240 Wow.
00:02:45.480 Now, all of those right-of-center, very mainstream organizations.
00:02:49.760 What does the pyramid link them to?
00:02:52.160 Hate groups like The Base, which is a neo-Nazi paramilitary group,
00:02:57.260 and The Daily Stormer, which is a pro-Nazi publication.
00:03:00.640 This, the application from the University of Dayton, linked to a video of the conference,
00:03:11.800 describing it as showing the university's work, quote,
00:03:14.800 to assess regional needs and capacities for violent extremism prevention.
00:03:21.860 One of the speakers at the conference, a researcher at the University of Cincinnati called Michael Loadenthal,
00:03:31.500 presented the pyramid of far-right radicalization,
00:03:34.140 said it was an accurate description of the modern far-right.
00:03:38.400 And if you look at this particular individual, he is an extreme individual.
00:03:49.600 If you look at his background,
00:03:56.560 this lecturer, Loadenthal, who at the time described himself as a medical worker
00:04:03.960 who provided abortion services.
00:04:06.680 So he's an abortion provider.
00:04:08.620 He's frequently retweeted Antifa accounts
00:04:11.380 and defends left-wing violence on social media.
00:04:15.040 That's one of the guys presenting.
00:04:17.540 So who else is presenting at this organization?
00:04:21.860 Well, there are other extremists,
00:04:25.060 such as
00:04:27.400 a fellow named Alexander Hinton.
00:04:32.860 He is a professor at Rutgers University
00:04:34.980 who specializes in genocide.
00:04:38.660 And at the conference,
00:04:39.680 he compared the Trump administration
00:04:41.540 to the Khmer Rouge.
00:04:44.540 The Khmer Rouge for Pol Pot
00:04:46.400 killed an estimated
00:04:48.620 one and a half million to two million people
00:04:51.020 in Cambodia.
00:04:52.260 The last I checked,
00:04:53.120 the Trump administration didn't have death camps.
00:04:55.460 And the last I checked,
00:04:56.600 the left actually likes communist death camps.
00:04:58.700 But another speaker,
00:05:00.720 a woman named Nicole Wittersheim,
00:05:03.860 deputy Washington director
00:05:05.560 for Human Rights Watch,
00:05:08.200 compared Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
00:05:11.200 proposing a volunteer civilian military force
00:05:14.480 to assist the National Guard in emergencies,
00:05:17.300 such as hurricanes,
00:05:18.500 to the Holocaust
00:05:20.400 that the Nazis carried out in World War II.
00:05:24.500 These are the radicals
00:05:28.020 who are being funded
00:05:29.460 by the Joe Biden Department of Homeland Security.
00:05:32.200 Now, Senator, to be clear
00:05:33.720 for everyone that's listening,
00:05:34.920 if a private group wants to do this,
00:05:37.820 there's many private groups
00:05:38.800 that do this all the time,
00:05:40.380 that's one thing.
00:05:41.720 It's completely different
00:05:43.320 when you're taking federal dollars,
00:05:46.380 tax dollars,
00:05:47.160 that are now going to this type of
00:05:49.000 hateful propaganda
00:05:50.780 and advocating for things
00:05:53.680 that are just clearly not true.
00:05:55.820 How are they getting away with this?
00:06:00.040 Well, okay, so their defense is,
00:06:01.860 they say,
00:06:02.220 actually, the seminar
00:06:03.100 with all these radical speakers,
00:06:04.440 that seminar itself
00:06:06.360 was not funded
00:06:07.140 by the Department of Homeland Security.
00:06:08.780 Instead,
00:06:09.780 the organization that put on the seminar
00:06:11.780 got funds later from DHS
00:06:14.000 and pointed to the seminar
00:06:15.300 as an example
00:06:16.420 of the great work they do,
00:06:18.240 and the Biden DHS said,
00:06:19.740 oh, that sounds great to us,
00:06:21.120 and was happy to spend
00:06:23.120 your and my tax dollars
00:06:24.540 supporting a group
00:06:26.740 that apparently sees no difference
00:06:28.520 between the RNC,
00:06:30.100 between the Heritage Foundation,
00:06:32.440 between Fox News and Nazis,
00:06:37.780 an organization that sees no difference
00:06:41.060 between genocidal, murderous,
00:06:44.260 communist in the Khmer Rouge
00:06:45.920 and the Trump administration.
00:06:49.140 That is,
00:06:50.360 it's the latest example
00:06:52.080 of the Biden administration
00:06:54.000 being more than happy
00:06:55.380 to weaponize the federal government,
00:06:58.480 to use the powers
00:06:59.860 of the federal government
00:07:00.660 to target you,
00:07:02.260 to pay people
00:07:03.580 who view you.
00:07:05.700 I'm willing to bet
00:07:06.780 that a fair number
00:07:07.580 of the listeners of this pod,
00:07:08.740 and by the way,
00:07:09.760 I gotta say, Ben,
00:07:10.760 I'm a little disappointed
00:07:11.660 that they listed
00:07:12.560 the NRA
00:07:13.600 and Fox News
00:07:14.580 and the RNC,
00:07:15.500 and apparently,
00:07:17.220 verdict didn't make the list.
00:07:18.740 I mean, heck,
00:07:19.460 I actually feel
00:07:20.920 if they're listing
00:07:21.640 what they think
00:07:22.400 is evil in the world,
00:07:24.240 we gotta work
00:07:25.120 a little bit harder
00:07:26.000 because we haven't
00:07:28.980 apparently reached
00:07:29.920 the level of evil
00:07:31.020 that these lunatics
00:07:32.880 ascribe to places
00:07:33.960 like Breitbart.
00:07:34.920 Well, it's because
00:07:36.000 they haven't officially
00:07:36.800 named you as a,
00:07:37.660 our verdict
00:07:38.280 as a terrorist group,
00:07:39.360 right?
00:07:39.660 I mean,
00:07:39.860 that's how you hide
00:07:40.580 these money,
00:07:41.380 these dollars,
00:07:42.300 the Biden administration
00:07:43.140 doling out these tax dollars
00:07:44.680 to, quote,
00:07:46.000 anti-terrorism grant initiatives,
00:07:47.960 and that's part of how,
00:07:49.280 by the way,
00:07:49.600 they disguise it.
00:07:50.800 They say,
00:07:51.740 well,
00:07:51.920 who would be against
00:07:52.960 giving tax dollars
00:07:54.420 to anti-terrorism grant initiatives,
00:07:56.480 to a university program
00:07:58.620 that is doing that?
00:08:00.980 That's how you justify,
00:08:03.200 and I think
00:08:03.960 there's so many people
00:08:04.880 to just assume,
00:08:06.040 if you name it
00:08:07.000 something like that,
00:08:08.020 right,
00:08:08.220 we're going to give
00:08:08.680 a lot of tax dollars
00:08:09.660 to anti-terrorism grant initiative,
00:08:11.900 most Americans,
00:08:13.200 if you heard that,
00:08:13.760 would say,
00:08:14.040 well,
00:08:14.160 of course I'm in favor of that,
00:08:15.280 of course I'm in favor
00:08:16.400 of using our tax dollars
00:08:18.220 for anti-terrorism initiatives.
00:08:20.620 That is not what they're doing
00:08:22.100 here at this university program.
00:08:23.980 It is not.
00:08:24.960 They are engaged
00:08:25.660 in propaganda,
00:08:26.660 and the propaganda
00:08:27.260 is saying that
00:08:28.180 anyone right of center
00:08:29.160 is a terrorist.
00:08:30.800 Anyone right of center
00:08:31.700 is a Nazi.
00:08:32.400 Anyone right of center
00:08:33.180 is a Klansman.
00:08:33.920 It is the vicious lie
00:08:36.120 that the radical left
00:08:37.220 pushes often,
00:08:39.080 but it is not.
00:08:40.460 Look,
00:08:40.760 if they want to say that,
00:08:41.820 that's fine,
00:08:42.560 but why is the government
00:08:44.080 funding this?
00:08:45.860 They're funding it
00:08:46.900 because they want
00:08:48.220 to give fuel
00:08:49.340 to the fire
00:08:50.160 attacking
00:08:51.300 those they view
00:08:52.780 as enemies
00:08:53.640 of the regime.
00:08:54.620 I want to talk
00:08:56.140 about the money
00:08:56.760 because the next question
00:08:57.940 people are going to ask
00:08:58.640 center is,
00:08:59.140 all right,
00:08:59.280 well,
00:08:59.440 how much money
00:08:59.940 are we talking about here
00:09:00.800 that's being abused
00:09:01.560 in this way?
00:09:02.440 And before we get into that,
00:09:03.480 let me tell you about
00:09:03.960 our friends over at Chalk.
00:09:04.980 If you're a guy
00:09:05.740 and you're ready
00:09:06.700 to fight back,
00:09:07.780 you are sick and tired
00:09:08.960 of that feeling,
00:09:10.180 that feeling of just fatigue,
00:09:12.540 of feeling tired,
00:09:13.820 and you understand,
00:09:15.020 yeah,
00:09:15.240 something's changed.
00:09:16.360 I don't know
00:09:16.740 what's going on,
00:09:17.540 but I want to get back
00:09:18.800 to feeling like myself again.
00:09:21.000 That is where Chalk comes in.
00:09:22.900 You're not alone,
00:09:23.920 by the way.
00:09:24.800 Testosterone levels
00:09:25.660 have dropped off a cliff
00:09:27.360 historically
00:09:27.980 to an all-time low,
00:09:29.260 and that's exactly why Chalk
00:09:31.280 is here to help

00:09:43.240 your testosterone levels

00:09:48.540 What does that mean?
00:09:49.560 It means getting back
00:09:50.600 your strength and vitality.

00:10:20.640 Promo code Ben
00:10:21.760 for 35% off.
00:10:23.700 Senator, let's talk quickly
00:10:24.780 about the financial side
00:10:26.180 of this.
00:10:26.860 The Biden administration
00:10:27.820 we now know
00:10:28.500 has awarded these 80 grants
00:10:29.980 through this group,
00:10:32.380 this TVTP,
00:10:34.260 totaling just under
00:10:36.060 $40 million.
00:10:38.320 Now, the lowest grant
00:10:39.640 we've been told
00:10:40.160 was for $85,000.
00:10:41.340 The highest was
00:10:42.040 for over $1.1 million.
00:10:44.100 And the median
00:10:44.720 was about $442,000.
00:10:48.460 Now, these grant recipients
00:10:49.920 are, quote,
00:10:50.580 prohibited from engaging
00:10:51.880 in viewpoint discrimination,
00:10:53.740 according to DHS.
00:10:55.180 Well, if that is the standard,
00:10:57.380 then I think it's pretty obvious
00:10:58.740 that they are
00:10:59.540 in violation of that,
00:11:01.600 quote, standard right away here.
00:11:03.340 Look, I think that's
00:11:04.620 exactly right.
00:11:05.500 This particular organization,
00:11:07.360 Prevents Ohio, program,
00:11:09.260 got $352,000.
00:11:11.360 And given the history
00:11:12.700 of this program,
00:11:13.480 given that they're pointing
00:11:14.360 to this radical conference
00:11:16.100 as evidence
00:11:17.400 of the kind of work they do,
00:11:19.580 I have no confidence
00:11:20.760 that any acts of violence
00:11:22.960 will be prevented
00:11:23.600 by this organization,
00:11:24.740 that any terrorism
00:11:25.480 will be prevented
00:11:26.200 by this organization.
00:11:28.080 In fact,
00:11:29.300 I have no confidence
00:11:31.160 that this group
00:11:31.820 will even admit
00:11:32.740 who is, in fact,
00:11:34.200 a terrorist organization.
00:11:35.480 If you're identifying
00:11:36.380 the Heritage Foundation,
00:11:37.580 listen, you and I
00:11:38.420 have both been to Heritage.
00:11:39.460 Heritage has a building
00:11:40.380 a couple of blocks
00:11:41.100 from Capitol Hill.
00:11:42.560 It's this big building
00:11:43.740 with lots of scholarly
00:11:44.820 academic folks,
00:11:45.900 typically sitting in cubicles
00:11:47.680 with very thick glasses,
00:11:49.100 writing very dense white papers.
00:11:51.260 And about the only act
00:11:52.640 of violence you might get
00:11:53.760 from a Heritage Foundation
00:11:54.780 scholar is you might get
00:11:55.940 a paper cut
00:11:56.640 from picking up
00:11:57.560 their white paper.
00:11:58.480 But they are not
00:11:59.880 firebombing cities.
00:12:01.560 They are not
00:12:02.000 looting stores.
00:12:03.880 They are not
00:12:04.420 blowing places up.
00:12:05.960 They're not doing
00:12:06.520 the sorts of things,
00:12:07.400 actually,
00:12:07.860 that the radical left,
00:12:08.920 that Antifa is doing.
00:12:10.200 But of course,
00:12:11.480 this organization
00:12:12.440 would never target Antifa
00:12:14.180 because,
00:12:16.160 look, we've talked
00:12:16.880 about this quite a lot,
00:12:17.980 that the distressing reality
00:12:19.860 is this Biden administration,
00:12:21.720 I believe,
00:12:22.920 is perfectly fine
00:12:24.140 with political violence
00:12:25.160 if it serves
00:12:25.980 their partisan interest.
00:12:28.600 It's why,
00:12:29.540 to this date,
00:12:30.240 Merrick Garland
00:12:30.820 has not prosecuted
00:12:31.840 a single individual
00:12:33.300 breaking the law
00:12:34.660 by protesting
00:12:35.520 in front of
00:12:36.060 Supreme Court
00:12:36.500 justices' homes
00:12:37.420 night after night
00:12:38.500 after night
00:12:39.060 because he supports
00:12:40.080 that lawlessness
00:12:40.860 and the administration
00:12:42.880 doesn't care
00:12:43.740 if it's directly
00:12:44.760 contrary to federal law.
00:12:46.400 Now that we know
00:12:46.860 how this money
00:12:47.400 is being spent,
00:12:48.340 Senator,
00:12:48.560 is there any way
00:12:49.460 that the House
00:12:50.100 could look into
00:12:50.780 this spending
00:12:51.340 and hold
00:12:52.380 Department of Homeland Security
00:12:53.440 accountable
00:12:53.960 for clearly abusing
00:12:55.120 these funds?
00:12:56.840 Absolutely,
00:12:57.600 and I hope the House
00:12:58.320 holds hearings on this.
00:12:59.900 The Senate should as well,
00:13:01.360 but Senate Democrats
00:13:02.200 don't care.
00:13:03.000 So they're not going
00:13:04.180 to hold hearings on this
00:13:05.900 because they're perfectly fine
00:13:07.580 with the money
00:13:09.560 being spent
00:13:10.240 in this way,
00:13:10.960 but the House
00:13:11.520 ought to have hearings
00:13:12.460 on this,
00:13:13.360 and I very much
00:13:13.960 hope they do.
00:13:15.240 Canadian women
00:13:16.060 are looking for more,
00:13:17.380 more out of themselves,
00:13:18.440 their businesses,
00:13:19.380 their elected leaders,
00:13:20.340 and the world around them.
00:13:21.520 And that's why
00:13:22.020 we're thrilled
00:13:22.540 to introduce
00:13:23.180 the Honest Talk podcast.
00:13:25.300 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:13:26.480 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:13:27.720 And in this podcast,
00:13:28.860 we interview
00:13:29.320 Canada's most inspiring women,
00:13:31.300 entrepreneurs,
00:13:32.160 artists,
00:13:32.820 athletes,
00:13:33.440 politicians,
00:13:34.100 and newsmakers,
00:13:35.020 all at different stages
00:13:36.060 of their journey.
00:13:36.900 So if you're looking
00:13:38.240 to connect,
00:13:39.020 then we hope you'll join us.
00:13:40.440 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast
00:13:41.820 on iHeartRadio
00:13:42.820 or wherever you listen
00:13:43.800 to your podcasts.
00:13:45.940 I want to move on
00:13:47.100 to another issue
00:13:47.920 that actually is connected
00:13:49.320 to this woke agenda
00:13:50.760 even more.
00:13:52.060 You are now calling out
00:13:53.740 debate coaches
00:13:55.000 who actually have
00:13:56.420 banned students
00:13:58.480 from saying the words
00:14:00.340 illegal immigrants.
00:14:02.420 One coach told students
00:14:04.200 that if they use the term
00:14:05.560 illegal quote unquote
00:14:07.060 to describe an immigrant,
00:14:09.900 then he will give you
00:14:11.360 quote,
00:14:11.760 a stern lecture
00:14:12.740 and doc points
00:14:14.120 from your team.
00:14:16.480 Debate is something,
00:14:17.680 by the way,
00:14:17.980 that I did in high school.
00:14:19.400 Loved it.
00:14:20.180 You did it in high school.
00:14:21.420 I'm sure.
00:14:22.280 I'm guessing,
00:14:23.300 but I feel very confident
00:14:24.740 you did.
00:14:25.220 And you obviously did
00:14:26.220 debate,
00:14:27.260 I'm sure,
00:14:27.600 in college
00:14:28.140 and then mock trial
00:14:29.100 and things like that.
00:14:30.020 The idea that you can't
00:14:31.460 have a real debate
00:14:32.360 and these coaches
00:14:33.060 are saying,
00:14:33.520 we're going to force you
00:14:34.360 into certain words
00:14:35.160 and terminology.
00:14:36.460 You want to talk about
00:14:37.640 a freedom of speech problem,
00:14:39.820 in my opinion.
00:14:40.700 This is it.
00:14:41.920 Well,
00:14:42.160 I will say,
00:14:42.740 Ben,
00:14:42.880 that's actually a wager
00:14:44.520 you would have lost.
00:14:45.560 I lost.
00:14:46.500 Wow.
00:14:47.220 I wanted,
00:14:48.900 you would have lost that.
00:14:50.660 I wanted to do debate
00:14:51.920 in high school,
00:14:52.440 but I went to a little bit
00:14:53.600 of school in Houston,
00:14:55.080 Second Baptist High School,
00:14:56.300 which you're well familiar
00:14:57.320 with it.
00:14:58.000 And at the time,
00:14:59.560 my graduating class
00:15:00.920 was 43
00:15:01.560 and the school
00:15:02.260 was too small.
00:15:03.060 It didn't have a debate team.
00:15:04.780 So I was,
00:15:05.880 if there's anything
00:15:07.020 geekier than a high school
00:15:08.380 debater,
00:15:08.900 it's a high school
00:15:09.500 debater wannabe,
00:15:10.940 which is what I was.
00:15:14.920 And so,
00:15:16.120 you know,
00:15:16.840 I mean,
00:15:17.080 I didn't get to hang around,
00:15:18.680 you know,
00:15:18.940 cool varsity tennis players
00:15:20.280 like Ben Ferguson.
00:15:23.280 But when I went to college,
00:15:25.440 I managed to achieve
00:15:26.940 my aspirations
00:15:27.860 and I became
00:15:28.360 a college debater
00:15:29.060 and I spent
00:15:29.660 almost every weekend
00:15:31.780 all four years
00:15:32.620 at Princeton
00:15:33.100 doing college debate
00:15:34.180 and loved it
00:15:35.840 and learned
00:15:36.320 an enormous amount
00:15:37.220 from it.
00:15:38.320 And there's an article
00:15:39.600 that came out
00:15:40.480 just a week ago
00:15:41.320 and it's an article
00:15:42.480 in the Free Press
00:15:43.320 by an individual
00:15:43.960 named James Fishback
00:15:45.200 and it's entitled
00:15:46.660 At High School Debates,
00:15:47.900 Debate is No Longer Allowed.
00:15:50.140 And it talks about
00:15:51.360 an amazing thing
00:15:52.500 going on
00:15:53.300 where
00:15:54.360 there are now
00:15:55.980 debate judges
00:15:57.140 that are debating
00:15:58.480 in
00:16:00.220 that are judging
00:16:03.220 college debate
00:16:04.360 in NSDA,
00:16:06.120 which is one of the
00:16:06.760 college debate tournaments.
00:16:07.780 It's not the one
00:16:08.340 I competed on
00:16:09.060 but it's another one
00:16:09.920 that's heavily
00:16:11.180 on the West Coast.
00:16:12.920 And he goes through
00:16:14.820 the profiles
00:16:16.640 from a number of judges
00:16:19.040 and what they describe.
00:16:21.140 So one judge
00:16:22.100 is someone named
00:16:23.960 Lila Lavender
00:16:25.060 who was
00:16:27.100 national debate
00:16:28.600 champion in 2019
00:16:29.940 and
00:16:30.600 according to the
00:16:33.540 bio of Lila Lavender
00:16:34.820 it says,
00:16:35.760 quote,
00:16:36.320 before anything else
00:16:38.180 including being
00:16:39.500 a debate judge,
00:16:40.560 I'm a Marxist,
00:16:42.200 Leninist,
00:16:42.880 Maoist.
00:16:43.900 I cannot check
00:16:45.260 the revolutionary
00:16:46.000 proletarian science
00:16:47.160 at the door
00:16:47.680 when I'm judging.
00:16:48.340 I will no longer
00:16:50.100 evaluate
00:16:50.640 and thus
00:16:51.320 never vote
00:16:52.920 for rightist
00:16:54.540 capitalist
00:16:55.780 imperialist
00:16:56.840 positions
00:16:57.500 arguments.
00:16:59.140 Examples of
00:17:00.020 arguments of this
00:17:00.720 nature are as
00:17:01.540 follows.
00:17:02.700 Fascism good,
00:17:03.700 capitalism good,
00:17:04.680 imperialist war good,
00:17:06.360 neoliberalism good,
00:17:07.460 defenses of the U.S.
00:17:08.540 or otherwise
00:17:09.460 bourgeois
00:17:10.520 nationalism,
00:17:11.860 Zionism
00:17:12.520 or normalizing
00:17:13.900 Israel,
00:17:14.600 colonialism good,
00:17:16.120 U.S.
00:17:16.500 white fascist
00:17:17.560 policing good,
00:17:19.060 et cetera.
00:17:20.820 That is
00:17:21.860 astonishing,
00:17:23.060 by the way.
00:17:23.580 There's another
00:17:24.040 judge
00:17:24.480 whose bio
00:17:26.060 says,
00:17:26.820 a judge
00:17:27.400 named
00:17:27.800 Shubham Gupta
00:17:30.120 and his
00:17:31.180 bio reads,
00:17:33.280 quote,
00:17:34.200 if you are
00:17:34.720 discussing
00:17:35.140 immigrants
00:17:35.680 in a round
00:17:36.460 and describe
00:17:37.600 the person
00:17:38.100 as,
00:17:38.540 quote,
00:17:38.620 illegal,
00:17:39.420 I will
00:17:39.960 immediately
00:17:40.280 stop the
00:17:40.920 round,
00:17:41.240 give you
00:17:41.460 the loss
00:17:41.920 with low
00:17:42.360 speaks,
00:17:42.780 low speaker
00:17:43.180 points,
00:17:44.020 give you
00:17:44.360 a stern
00:17:44.800 lecture and
00:17:45.680 then talk
00:17:46.060 to your
00:17:46.300 coach.
00:17:46.560 I will
00:17:46.880 not have
00:17:47.360 you making
00:17:47.800 the debate
00:17:48.220 space unsafe.
00:17:50.320 Well,
00:17:50.580 Mr. Gupta,
00:17:51.160 let me tell you
00:17:51.700 something.
00:17:52.100 The word
00:17:52.500 illegal alien
00:17:53.500 is in
00:17:54.060 federal law.
00:17:54.920 It is
00:17:55.180 United States
00:17:56.020 law and
00:17:56.540 the fact
00:17:57.060 that you
00:17:57.820 are a
00:17:58.160 little
00:17:58.400 Marxist
00:17:59.300 doesn't
00:17:59.740 change
00:18:00.480 reality.
00:18:01.420 Another
00:18:01.640 judge,
00:18:03.260 Judge
00:18:03.740 Christy
00:18:04.700 Sharma,
00:18:06.540 writes a
00:18:07.200 list of
00:18:07.840 quote,
00:18:08.860 things that
00:18:09.340 will cause
00:18:09.780 you to
00:18:10.040 automatically
00:18:10.540 lose.
00:18:11.940 Number
00:18:12.460 three is
00:18:13.140 referring to
00:18:14.440 immigrants
00:18:14.940 as illegal.
00:18:16.620 So I
00:18:17.200 want you
00:18:17.520 to think
00:18:17.940 of this
00:18:18.300 lavender
00:18:20.220 person
00:18:21.000 who
00:18:22.660 describes
00:18:23.780 themselves
00:18:24.560 as
00:18:27.340 a
00:18:28.400 Marxist
00:18:29.440 Leninist
00:18:30.280 Maoist.
00:18:31.900 Now it
00:18:32.800 is apparently
00:18:33.440 the standard,
00:18:34.420 at least with
00:18:34.940 these judges
00:18:35.560 in college
00:18:36.120 debate,
00:18:36.620 that unless
00:18:37.120 you argue
00:18:37.580 for communism,
00:18:38.240 you will
00:18:38.940 lose.
00:18:39.380 That's
00:18:40.000 not
00:18:40.200 debate.
00:18:41.200 That is
00:18:41.600 indoctrination.
00:18:42.960 That is
00:18:43.380 repeating
00:18:44.100 pravda.
00:18:45.360 And I
00:18:45.860 gotta say,
00:18:46.380 look,
00:18:47.100 I'm
00:18:47.920 someone who
00:18:48.780 as a
00:18:50.460 debater,
00:18:50.860 I learned
00:18:51.240 an enormous
00:18:51.720 amount,
00:18:52.100 and by the
00:18:52.400 way,
00:18:52.520 I had to
00:18:52.800 debate lots
00:18:53.360 of positions
00:18:53.780 I didn't
00:18:54.160 agree with.
00:18:55.320 In many
00:18:55.900 ways,
00:18:56.280 you learn
00:18:56.760 more
00:18:57.300 debating
00:18:58.440 a proposition
00:18:59.100 you disagree
00:19:00.040 with than
00:19:00.560 you learn
00:19:01.040 debating
00:19:01.400 something you
00:19:01.980 agree strongly
00:19:02.620 with.
00:19:02.900 I'll tell
00:19:03.240 you one
00:19:05.220 of my
00:19:05.540 favorite
00:19:05.860 stories.
00:19:06.300 So my
00:19:07.500 debate
00:19:07.800 partner in
00:19:08.280 college was
00:19:08.720 a guy named
00:19:09.020 David Panton,
00:19:09.960 and he was
00:19:10.720 my college
00:19:12.000 roommate,
00:19:12.400 my law school
00:19:13.000 roommate.
00:19:13.440 Other than
00:19:13.800 Heidi,
00:19:14.140 he's my
00:19:14.360 closest friend
00:19:14.920 on planet
00:19:15.300 Earth.
00:19:16.040 You've met
00:19:16.580 David.
00:19:17.140 Yeah,
00:19:17.400 great.
00:19:18.360 In fact,
00:19:18.780 we played
00:19:19.780 tennis and
00:19:20.440 pickleball
00:19:20.800 together.
00:19:21.160 He's a
00:19:21.320 great guy.
00:19:23.600 David and
00:19:24.400 I,
00:19:25.140 we were
00:19:26.140 debate
00:19:26.400 partners,
00:19:26.940 and we
00:19:27.180 got tired
00:19:28.200 about,
00:19:28.860 in debate,
00:19:30.280 people whining
00:19:31.280 and complaining
00:19:32.200 about whatever
00:19:33.060 case it was
00:19:33.720 you ran,
00:19:34.280 and they
00:19:34.680 would complain,
00:19:35.420 oh,
00:19:36.400 it's unfair,
00:19:37.460 the case is a
00:19:38.120 truism,
00:19:38.740 it's tautology,
00:19:40.140 and they'd
00:19:40.960 spend the
00:19:41.300 entire debate
00:19:41.940 round whining
00:19:42.800 that it was
00:19:43.740 unfair to
00:19:44.420 debate whatever
00:19:44.960 it was that
00:19:45.440 you were
00:19:45.660 proposing.
00:19:46.900 And so we
00:19:47.500 came up with
00:19:48.020 a way to
00:19:48.600 avoid that,
00:19:49.860 and what we
00:19:50.460 would do at
00:19:51.300 just about every
00:19:52.020 single case where
00:19:52.820 we were the
00:19:53.340 affirmative,
00:19:54.280 where we were
00:19:54.780 presenting a
00:19:55.280 case,
00:19:56.600 is we'd
00:19:57.480 give the
00:19:57.840 opposing team
00:19:58.720 the option
00:19:59.340 of which side
00:19:59.880 to take.
00:20:00.280 So I'd
00:20:00.600 stand up
00:20:01.120 and present
00:20:04.160 the initial
00:20:04.680 speech in
00:20:05.160 the debate
00:20:05.520 round,
00:20:06.080 and I'd
00:20:06.680 say,
00:20:07.620 you know,
00:20:07.880 all right,
00:20:08.060 let's take
00:20:08.520 one of the
00:20:08.920 issues that
00:20:09.360 is apparently
00:20:09.780 no longer
00:20:10.300 allowed.
00:20:13.000 Capitalism is
00:20:13.580 the most
00:20:13.880 effective economic
00:20:14.760 system ever
00:20:16.680 to exist on
00:20:17.460 planet Earth,
00:20:18.060 and I'd turn
00:20:18.500 to the other
00:20:18.820 side and say,
00:20:19.660 yes or no,
00:20:20.160 which side
00:20:20.560 do you take?
00:20:21.960 And if
00:20:23.740 they'd pick,
00:20:24.920 all the whining
00:20:26.300 disappeared from
00:20:27.120 the round,
00:20:27.960 because once
00:20:28.440 they picked,
00:20:28.980 they couldn't
00:20:29.380 complain,
00:20:30.200 gosh,
00:20:30.540 it's unfair
00:20:31.000 the side I
00:20:31.560 picked,
00:20:31.860 because you
00:20:32.160 morons
00:20:32.520 picked that
00:20:32.980 side.
00:20:33.280 And if
00:20:34.020 they refused
00:20:34.580 to pick,
00:20:35.020 I'd typically
00:20:35.480 flip a coin,
00:20:36.200 take one
00:20:36.580 side,
00:20:36.920 but even
00:20:37.180 that eliminated
00:20:38.060 the whining.
00:20:39.520 I mention
00:20:40.340 that because
00:20:41.120 there was one
00:20:42.000 round in
00:20:42.480 particular,
00:20:43.140 so senior
00:20:43.620 year,
00:20:45.060 towards the
00:20:45.720 end of senior
00:20:46.300 year,
00:20:46.780 David and I
00:20:47.380 competed at
00:20:48.020 what was
00:20:48.280 called a
00:20:48.720 hybrid tournament.
00:20:49.640 Now,
00:20:49.820 a hybrid
00:20:50.100 tournament was
00:20:50.880 you teamed
00:20:52.140 up with a
00:20:52.620 debater from
00:20:53.120 another school,
00:20:54.720 and the
00:20:56.740 rules were
00:20:57.580 that if you
00:20:57.960 made a final
00:20:58.440 tournament,
00:20:59.360 if you made
00:21:00.000 a final round
00:21:00.520 a tournament,
00:21:01.040 you qualified
00:21:01.640 for the
00:21:02.040 national
00:21:02.460 tournament.
00:21:03.560 And so
00:21:04.000 David and I
00:21:04.720 had both
00:21:05.020 qualified for
00:21:05.640 Nats at
00:21:06.000 that point,
00:21:06.480 and we
00:21:06.640 decided we'd
00:21:07.240 go to
00:21:07.460 the hybrid
00:21:09.320 tournament and
00:21:09.960 team up with
00:21:10.380 other folks.
00:21:11.060 And so I
00:21:11.660 teamed up with
00:21:13.340 a guy from
00:21:14.040 University of
00:21:14.640 Maryland,
00:21:14.960 Baltimore County
00:21:15.640 named Slash
00:21:16.340 Kendig.
00:21:16.900 Slash was a
00:21:18.000 fantastic
00:21:18.580 debater.
00:21:19.160 He had long
00:21:19.640 hair and a
00:21:20.160 beard.
00:21:20.940 He had a
00:21:21.300 leather jacket
00:21:22.020 with, I
00:21:22.520 think,
00:21:22.740 37 razor
00:21:23.800 blades on
00:21:24.440 it.
00:21:25.380 One, he
00:21:26.020 said, for
00:21:26.580 every woman
00:21:27.140 that had
00:21:27.460 broken up with
00:21:28.240 him and cut
00:21:28.820 his heart.
00:21:30.520 Slash and
00:21:31.700 I were from
00:21:32.340 wildly different
00:21:33.820 spots.
00:21:34.400 Yeah, that's
00:21:35.540 the guy you
00:21:35.940 don't want to
00:21:36.480 go up and
00:21:36.860 debate against.
00:21:38.480 Yeah, look,
00:21:39.360 he was like
00:21:40.460 a biker
00:21:41.520 outlaw was
00:21:42.420 the sort of
00:21:43.360 image he
00:21:43.860 portrayed, and
00:21:44.500 I was a
00:21:44.920 pretty buttoned
00:21:45.620 up Princeton
00:21:46.860 guy, and so
00:21:47.680 we debated
00:21:48.280 together and
00:21:48.960 we called
00:21:49.520 ourselves
00:21:49.980 Armageddon
00:21:50.740 A because
00:21:51.420 it was sort
00:21:52.020 of such a
00:21:52.940 bizarre
00:21:53.340 combination.
00:21:54.080 We were
00:21:54.240 friends and
00:21:54.720 got along
00:21:55.200 very well,
00:21:55.640 but he was
00:21:56.640 very far
00:21:57.140 left and I
00:21:57.780 was very
00:21:58.100 conservative.
00:21:59.280 And we
00:22:00.140 ended up
00:22:00.660 in the
00:22:00.880 fifth round,
00:22:01.800 which was
00:22:02.200 the final
00:22:02.740 closed round
00:22:03.460 of the
00:22:03.700 tournament,
00:22:04.200 hitting my
00:22:05.740 normal debate
00:22:06.960 partner, David
00:22:07.540 Panton, who's
00:22:08.200 Jamaican, he's
00:22:08.820 from Jamaica, he's
00:22:09.480 not American, he's
00:22:10.160 Jamaican, and
00:22:11.880 I decided to run
00:22:13.820 a case, the
00:22:14.980 United States is
00:22:16.360 or is not
00:22:17.360 the greatest
00:22:18.600 country in the
00:22:19.200 history of the
00:22:19.640 universe.
00:22:21.300 And I
00:22:22.040 turned to
00:22:22.520 David, who's
00:22:23.120 leading the
00:22:23.560 opposition, and
00:22:25.240 by the way,
00:22:26.600 Slash, who was
00:22:27.380 my partner,
00:22:27.920 thought the
00:22:29.680 case was a
00:22:30.280 falsism, he
00:22:31.000 thought there
00:22:31.320 was no way
00:22:32.020 on earth you
00:22:32.500 could make
00:22:32.880 the argument
00:22:33.720 that America
00:22:34.280 is the greatest
00:22:34.740 country in the
00:22:35.240 history of the
00:22:35.600 world.
00:22:36.020 I thought it
00:22:36.540 was a
00:22:36.760 truism, I
00:22:37.220 thought it
00:22:37.400 was indisputably
00:22:38.280 true.
00:22:38.920 I get up a
00:22:39.680 minute into the
00:22:40.100 speech, I
00:22:40.540 turn to David
00:22:41.320 and say, which
00:22:41.880 side would you
00:22:42.400 take, and
00:22:42.920 David, grinning
00:22:44.180 ear to ear, says,
00:22:45.520 we will take
00:22:46.360 that it is.
00:22:47.760 And he made
00:22:48.480 me argue that
00:22:49.360 America is not
00:22:50.380 the greatest
00:22:51.320 country in the
00:22:51.880 history of the
00:22:52.280 world.
00:22:52.520 Now you've
00:22:52.780 got to
00:22:52.880 understand, David
00:22:53.480 is Jamaican,
00:22:54.200 he's not
00:22:54.560 American.
00:22:55.360 Yeah.
00:22:55.660 But he knew
00:22:56.800 that I believed
00:22:58.040 that case with
00:22:59.540 every molecule
00:23:00.680 in my body, and
00:23:02.860 I'm proud to
00:23:03.660 tell you, David
00:23:04.700 whipped my
00:23:06.020 ass.
00:23:06.840 That's awesome.
00:23:07.840 I couldn't
00:23:08.220 effectively make
00:23:09.260 the case that
00:23:10.300 America is not
00:23:11.200 the greatest
00:23:11.640 country in the
00:23:12.200 history of the
00:23:12.620 world, and so
00:23:13.400 Slash and I
00:23:14.000 lost the round
00:23:14.740 badly.
00:23:15.980 But I mention
00:23:16.960 that to say,
00:23:19.000 in apparently
00:23:20.360 today's college
00:23:21.360 debate, what
00:23:22.800 David and I
00:23:23.460 did would no
00:23:23.980 longer be allowed
00:23:24.840 because these
00:23:27.600 radical Marxist
00:23:28.860 Leninist Maoist
00:23:29.780 judges, who
00:23:30.300 apparently don't
00:23:30.840 care about
00:23:31.280 debate, they
00:23:31.980 don't actually
00:23:32.380 believe debate
00:23:33.040 matters, that
00:23:34.840 judge would sit
00:23:35.580 there and go,
00:23:36.040 oh, you said
00:23:36.600 America's not the
00:23:37.340 greatest country,
00:23:37.940 you win, doesn't
00:23:39.120 matter, you
00:23:39.640 could sit there
00:23:40.720 and whistle,
00:23:42.620 you can just
00:23:44.260 read the phone
00:23:44.940 book, doesn't
00:23:45.340 matter what you
00:23:45.920 do, you win
00:23:47.200 because I'm a
00:23:48.140 Marxist and I
00:23:48.820 agree with your
00:23:49.320 position.
00:23:49.780 that is so
00:23:52.680 destructive to
00:23:54.400 the very essence
00:23:55.120 of debate and
00:23:55.820 it's destroying
00:23:56.740 what is an
00:23:58.240 incredible teaching
00:23:59.580 experience for
00:24:01.440 college kids.
00:24:02.460 I gotta admit,
00:24:02.980 this story has
00:24:03.720 me horrified.
00:24:04.940 It's an
00:24:05.560 indoctrination
00:24:06.320 aspect of this
00:24:07.160 as well, right?
00:24:07.760 You can play
00:24:08.500 and do this as
00:24:10.860 long as you say
00:24:12.160 and we
00:24:13.100 indoctrinate you
00:24:13.980 to believe a
00:24:14.660 certain point.
00:24:15.500 When I was in
00:24:16.280 high school, I
00:24:16.960 had a debate
00:24:17.660 and I
00:24:18.920 remember this
00:24:19.540 and it was
00:24:19.980 like a very
00:24:20.820 weird moment
00:24:21.640 for me and
00:24:23.060 the debate
00:24:23.880 coach was
00:24:24.340 amazing and
00:24:25.000 he said,
00:24:25.440 all right,
00:24:25.720 one of you
00:24:26.440 is going to
00:24:26.800 take the
00:24:27.140 side that
00:24:27.660 is right to
00:24:29.320 ban the
00:24:29.680 burning of
00:24:29.980 the American
00:24:30.340 flag and
00:24:31.640 the other
00:24:32.000 is going to
00:24:32.500 obviously take
00:24:33.280 the opposite
00:24:33.820 and I had to
00:24:35.200 argue both
00:24:35.920 sides once in
00:24:37.540 one round and
00:24:38.200 the other on
00:24:38.640 the other round
00:24:39.180 and it taught
00:24:40.400 me so much
00:24:41.200 though about
00:24:41.660 learning what
00:24:43.360 the other side
00:24:44.140 says, what
00:24:44.940 the other side
00:24:45.460 believes, why
00:24:46.360 they believe it
00:24:47.140 and it gave
00:24:48.260 me an
00:24:49.080 incredible amount
00:24:49.900 of training for
00:24:50.620 doing what I
00:24:51.220 do today when
00:24:51.780 you go on TV
00:24:52.460 and when you're
00:24:52.880 talking about
00:24:53.460 tough issues
00:24:54.020 and we're, you
00:24:54.680 know, debating
00:24:55.600 grand ideas
00:24:56.480 but I cannot
00:24:57.300 imagine having a
00:24:58.340 debate coach
00:24:58.880 that says, hey,
00:24:59.580 you can say
00:25:00.480 whatever you want
00:25:01.000 to say as long
00:25:01.700 as it's what I
00:25:02.380 believe you should
00:25:02.940 indoctrinate to
00:25:03.740 believe and then
00:25:04.520 you can only
00:25:05.260 argue that.
00:25:07.680 Yeah, I have to
00:25:08.720 admit, like I read
00:25:09.640 about the knucklehead
00:25:10.940 coach who said, if
00:25:11.720 you say the word
00:25:12.260 alien, I'll end
00:25:13.300 the round, score
00:25:14.840 you as losing and
00:25:15.780 give you a very
00:25:16.260 low point.
00:25:17.140 And then
00:25:17.920 lecture you.
00:25:18.520 I gotta admit, if
00:25:19.200 that coach said
00:25:19.860 that to me at
00:25:20.600 18, I would
00:25:22.060 have taken his
00:25:22.720 head off.
00:25:23.280 I mean, we
00:25:23.720 would have had a
00:25:24.860 screen, he wanted
00:25:25.980 to debate, we
00:25:26.680 would have had a
00:25:27.160 debate right there
00:25:28.580 because I would
00:25:29.560 have said some
00:25:30.060 four-letter words
00:25:30.920 that would have
00:25:31.760 been memorable.
00:25:33.080 No doubt about it.
00:25:34.240 I want to move to
00:25:34.940 something else that
00:25:35.700 deals with this
00:25:36.620 type of insanity as
00:25:37.620 well.
00:25:38.340 There is, that
00:25:40.540 time of year, it's
00:25:42.080 graduation time.
00:25:43.600 You've got people
00:25:44.120 graduating from
00:25:44.900 school, from
00:25:45.680 law school, from
00:25:47.400 pretty much
00:25:47.860 everything, and
00:25:49.140 there is something
00:25:49.960 shocking that
00:25:50.860 happened at the
00:25:52.380 City University of
00:25:53.540 New York.
00:25:54.180 I want to get
00:25:55.000 into that in a
00:25:55.500 moment, but first
00:25:56.200 I want to tell you
00:25:56.720 about our friends
00:25:57.180 over at Patriot
00:25:57.840 Mobile.
00:25:58.580 If you are just
00:25:59.820 sick and tired of
00:26:00.980 giving your money
00:26:01.520 to companies that
00:26:02.140 cannot stand your
00:26:03.200 values, we're
00:26:04.260 talking about
00:26:04.660 things like Target
00:26:05.480 and Bud Light,
00:26:06.900 well, there is a
00:26:08.540 way you can start
00:26:09.380 putting your money
00:26:10.400 with companies
00:26:11.000 now, companies
00:26:12.540 that believe what
00:26:13.060 you believe in and
00:26:13.740 fight for what you
00:26:14.400 believe in.
00:26:15.260 Right now, that is
00:26:16.840 with 99% of us, a
00:26:18.380 cell phone we have.
00:26:19.260 Now, for years, big
00:26:20.620 mobile companies have
00:26:21.340 been dumping
00:26:21.780 millions and
00:26:22.480 millions and
00:26:23.040 millions of
00:26:23.540 dollars into
00:26:24.620 leftist causes, and
00:26:25.860 we had to take it
00:26:26.600 because there was
00:26:27.220 not another option.
00:26:28.840 It didn't exist.
00:26:29.800 Well, now it does.
00:26:30.820 Patriot Mobile is
00:26:31.660 America's only
00:26:32.740 Christian conservative

00:26:41.440 possible service
00:26:42.340 in your area
00:26:43.140 without the woke
00:26:44.640 propaganda that's
00:26:45.620 been pushed by
00:26:46.340 leftists working
00:26:47.180 hard to destroy
00:26:47.820 this country.
00:26:48.820 When you switch
00:26:49.640 to Patriot Mobile,
00:26:50.520 you're not only
00:26:51.100 putting your money
00:26:51.560 where your mouth is,
00:26:52.520 but every time you
00:26:53.440 pay your bill, you're
00:26:54.180 actually supporting
00:26:55.300 free speech and
00:26:56.340 religious freedom.
00:26:57.400 The sanctity of
00:26:58.300 life, the Second
00:26:59.020 Amendment, and our
00:26:59.920 military, our
00:27:00.680 veterans, our
00:27:01.180 first responders, they
00:27:02.620 are giving back.
00:27:03.860 Yeah, Patriot Mobile
00:27:04.920 takes a portion of
00:27:05.820 your bill at no
00:27:06.540 extra cost to you
00:27:07.300 every month.
00:27:07.800 They give them back
00:27:08.400 to these causes.
00:27:09.100 They have 100%
00:27:10.520 U.S.-based customer
00:27:11.520 service team, so you
00:27:12.900 know you're working
00:27:13.700 with a company that
00:27:14.680 cares about American
00:27:15.500 jobs as well.

00:27:41.540 Make sure you use the
00:27:42.220 promo code VERDICT.
00:27:43.840 Senator, this one you
00:27:45.520 sent, and I want you to
00:27:47.440 explain, people, to
00:27:49.260 everybody.
00:27:49.680 The City University of
00:27:51.380 New York, they had a
00:27:53.240 speaker that not only was
00:27:55.140 anti-Semitic, but was
00:27:57.300 enthusiastically celebrating
00:28:00.160 anti-Semitism in New York.
00:28:03.040 This was a speaker that
00:28:04.720 should have been stopped,
00:28:05.800 in my opinion, should
00:28:06.620 have never been able to
00:28:07.700 do this in the first
00:28:08.560 place.
00:28:09.380 But here we are,
00:28:10.880 watching at a law
00:28:12.360 school, and again,
00:28:14.820 paid for with tax
00:28:15.680 dollars, this type of
00:28:17.320 anti-Semitism being
00:28:18.760 sanctioned by, quote,
00:28:20.520 higher education.
00:28:21.960 Well, this woman was the
00:28:23.980 class day speaker at the
00:28:25.320 graduation of the law
00:28:26.560 school of City University
00:28:28.400 of New York.
00:28:29.100 And she is from Yemen
00:28:31.560 and grew up in the
00:28:33.320 Bronx, and she is a
00:28:35.400 hard leftist.
00:28:37.380 And the speech she gave
00:28:38.960 was virulently
00:28:41.860 anti-Israel, was
00:28:43.920 slandering Israel with
00:28:45.820 lies.
00:28:47.240 She was reveling in
00:28:48.760 anti-Semitism in a way
00:28:50.780 that there really is no
00:28:53.080 other bigotry that would
00:28:54.520 be as welcome at a
00:28:56.020 college graduation as
00:28:57.260 anti-Semitism.
00:28:57.980 She also, by the way,
00:29:00.700 enthusiastically cheerleads
00:29:02.620 open borders and
00:29:03.640 releasing violent
00:29:04.360 criminals from jail.
00:29:05.540 And she refers to
00:29:06.800 police officers as the,
00:29:08.140 quote, fascist NYPD.
00:29:11.000 And so give a listen to
00:29:13.480 the class day speaker at
00:29:15.560 the City University of
00:29:16.680 New York at their
00:29:17.860 graduation.
00:29:19.740 In this moment of
00:29:21.160 celebrating who we are,
00:29:22.700 I want to celebrate
00:29:23.700 CUNY Law as one of the
00:29:24.900 few, if not the only,
00:29:26.700 law school to make a
00:29:28.000 public statement
00:29:28.900 defending the right of
00:29:30.420 its students to
00:29:31.340 organize and speak out
00:29:32.620 against Israeli settler
00:29:34.180 colonialism.
00:29:34.800 that this, that this is the
00:29:50.400 law school that passed and
00:29:52.220 endorsed BDS on a student
00:29:54.320 and faculty level.
00:29:58.560 Recognizing that absent a
00:30:00.600 critical imperialism settler
00:30:02.360 colonialism lens, our work and
00:30:04.980 this school's mission statement
00:30:06.160 is void of value.
00:30:07.520 That as Israel continues to
00:30:10.020 indiscriminately rain bullets
00:30:11.780 and bombs on worshippers,
00:30:14.180 murdering the old, the young,
00:30:16.520 attacking even funerals and
00:30:18.200 graveyards, as it encourages
00:30:19.580 lynch mobs to target
00:30:21.460 Palestinian homes and businesses,
00:30:23.220 as it imprisons its children,
00:30:25.600 as it continues its project of
00:30:27.280 settler colonialism,
00:30:28.220 expelling Palestinians from
00:30:30.220 their homes, carrying the
00:30:33.100 ongoing Nakba, that our
00:30:34.760 silence is no longer
00:30:37.680 acceptable.
00:30:44.820 We are, we are the student
00:30:50.480 body and faculty that fought
00:30:53.380 back when investor-focused admin
00:30:55.300 attempted to cross the BDS picket
00:30:57.640 line, saying loud and clear
00:30:59.500 that Palestine can no longer
00:31:01.580 be the exception to our
00:31:03.200 pursuit of justice, that our
00:31:04.920 morality will not be purchased
00:31:06.820 by investors.
00:31:11.720 We are the class, we are the
00:31:16.160 class that fought for
00:31:17.620 incarcerated clients and
00:31:19.500 zealously filed for their
00:31:20.840 clemency applications with nearly
00:31:22.860 zero institutional support.
00:31:27.420 We are the class that fought
00:31:30.360 for clients to get asylum, that
00:31:33.300 went to court to reunite families
00:31:35.220 torn apart by ACS and the family
00:31:37.100 surveillance.
00:31:39.740 We are the class that organized
00:31:42.440 against using Lexis, a legal
00:31:44.580 research company contracted with
00:31:46.800 ICE.
00:31:47.180 And we did all of this in spite of
00:31:51.520 the racism, in spite of the
00:31:53.240 selective activism, the self-serving
00:31:55.340 interests of CUNY Central, an
00:31:57.420 institution that continues to fail
00:31:59.780 us, that continues to train and
00:32:01.600 cooperate with the fascist NYPD,
00:32:03.840 the military, that continues to
00:32:06.340 train IDF soldiers to carry out that
00:32:09.300 same violence globally.
00:32:10.940 A larger institution committed to its
00:32:13.600 donors, not to its students.
00:32:15.420 I mean, this is a big day on
00:32:19.140 campus.
00:32:19.780 You can hear the law students
00:32:21.880 cheering this.
00:32:22.660 What worries me is the fact these
00:32:24.140 are going to be the lawyers of
00:32:25.260 tomorrow.
00:32:27.380 Well, and the vicious racism, the
00:32:30.080 anti-Semitism that she's spewing,
00:32:32.260 what she's saying about Israel are
00:32:34.060 blatant lies, that they indiscriminately
00:32:36.000 rain bullets down on people who are
00:32:38.060 worshiping and in prison children and
00:32:41.040 they kill the young and old alike.
00:32:42.460 That's just a wild lie.
00:32:45.160 And in fact, they target terrorists.
00:32:49.620 They target people who are murdering
00:32:52.180 innocent civilians.
00:32:53.260 The people who indiscriminately murder
00:32:55.040 civilians are the Palestinian
00:32:58.140 terrorists, the Hamas and Hezbollah
00:32:59.940 terrorists that this speaker is
00:33:02.420 celebrating.
00:33:03.240 By the way, she made reference to
00:33:04.640 Nakba.
00:33:05.460 Nakba is the phrase that is used for,
00:33:10.040 quote, the Palestinian catastrophe,
00:33:12.500 which is another phrase for the
00:33:14.220 founding of the modern state of
00:33:15.720 Israel.
00:33:16.440 She is decrying the fact that Israel
00:33:18.740 exists because, you know, there are
00:33:20.400 Muslim nations throughout the Middle
00:33:22.280 East, but she is offended that how
00:33:24.440 dare there be one nation on earth, a
00:33:27.300 Jewish state, one nation that exists
00:33:29.840 that is the state of Israel.
00:33:31.020 This speech is so radical.
00:33:35.340 It is so filled with hate.
00:33:37.000 It's advocating BDS, which is boycott,
00:33:39.340 divestiture and sanctions, which is
00:33:41.860 anti-Semitic and targeting the state
00:33:44.020 of Israel.
00:33:44.680 If you were a Jewish student listening
00:33:46.740 to this, listening to this cheering,
00:33:48.720 listening to these lies, how would you
00:33:50.820 feel graduating from this university?
00:33:53.440 And by the way, this university is paid
00:33:55.680 for with taxpayer funds from New York.
00:34:00.400 She also attacks anyone who works with
00:34:03.600 ICE because apparently the United
00:34:05.000 States cannot enforce our immigration
00:34:07.100 laws at all.
00:34:08.960 And she calls the NYPD fascist.
00:34:12.400 Mind you, this is the City University
00:34:14.080 of New York.
00:34:15.480 Presumably some of these graduates of
00:34:17.120 the law school are going to go work in
00:34:18.680 the criminal justice system in New York.
00:34:21.340 And these cheering Marxists believe that
00:34:25.400 being a police officer means you're a
00:34:27.520 fascist.
00:34:28.000 I got to say, you want an indictment of
00:34:30.600 how lost so many of our schools are,
00:34:35.440 their willingness to revel in lies,
00:34:39.100 anti-Semitism and radicalism that really
00:34:42.600 shows you where they're coming from.
00:34:44.220 And again, this comes back to a funding
00:34:45.760 issue.
00:34:46.240 You mentioned this in your tweet, paid
00:34:48.580 with tax dollars.
00:34:50.000 This is a law school paid with tax dollars.
00:34:53.200 Democrats have no problem spending our
00:34:55.200 money this way.
00:34:56.320 When are conservatives going to be able to
00:34:58.720 wake up and pull and realize that these
00:35:00.620 purse strings and our tax dollars are
00:35:02.680 being used to indoctrinate this type of
00:35:05.800 bigotry and anti-Semitism enthusiastically
00:35:09.040 with an audience cheering?
00:35:12.420 Well, and listen, that's one of the reasons
00:35:14.960 why Lee Zeldin, the former congressman from
00:35:17.200 New York who ran for governor in New York
00:35:20.380 and came close but didn't win.
00:35:21.800 And Lee is a good friend.
00:35:22.740 Lee is someone who I backed and
00:35:24.160 campaigned for when he first ran for
00:35:26.400 Congress.
00:35:27.440 Lee tweeted this portion of the speech
00:35:29.920 out and what he said was, quote,
00:35:32.480 raging anti-Semitism has fully consumed
00:35:34.740 the city of University of New York until
00:35:37.120 the administration is overhauled and all
00:35:40.000 Jewish students and faculty are welcome
00:35:42.160 again.
00:35:43.440 Taxpayer funding must be immediately
00:35:45.400 halted.
00:35:45.980 And when you have a place that becomes a
00:35:49.020 vicious cesspool of racism and
00:35:51.920 indoctrination, that's no longer carrying
00:35:55.680 out an educational mission.
00:35:57.440 That is instead performing the very same
00:36:00.960 mission of indoctrination, which, look,
00:36:03.820 there's a link between all three of these
00:36:06.680 stories in this podcast today, whether it
00:36:08.980 is DHS funding indoctrination saying if
00:36:12.500 you're a Republican, if you listen to Fox
00:36:14.160 News, you're connected to the Nazis, whether
00:36:16.380 it's debate judges saying if you dare
00:36:18.740 defend America or capitalism, you must
00:36:22.000 lose, or whether it is the vicious lies
00:36:25.600 coming at the City University of New York
00:36:27.440 law school graduation.
00:36:28.960 All three are examples of how the hard
00:36:32.680 left weaponizes money to indoctrinate, to
00:36:38.420 intimidate, and to silence and attack their
00:36:40.860 opponents.
00:36:41.400 Yeah, and this goes straight into our last
00:36:45.580 little tidbit here.
00:36:47.440 If you are a fan of Monty Python, it's
00:36:51.840 something that I loved watching in high
00:36:54.020 school.
00:36:54.580 We used to have watch parties at my
00:36:56.640 friend's house.
00:36:58.000 Absolutely hysterical.
00:36:59.660 We now have a scene that's been banned.
00:37:02.320 We got to go back and apparently just ban
00:37:04.480 everything now that we don't like that
00:37:06.600 happened in the past.
00:37:08.000 I want to play that scene for everybody
00:37:10.420 so you can hear what they've decided is
00:37:12.500 just too much and it's got to go.
00:37:14.540 But before we get to that, let me tell
00:37:15.780 you about Augusta Precious Metals.
00:37:17.460 If you have been saving for your
00:37:19.220 retirement and you are sick and tired of
00:37:21.360 the stress of seeing what's happening in
00:37:23.180 the marketplace, you're seeing what's
00:37:24.440 happening with bank failures, you're
00:37:26.420 seeing what's happening with interest
00:37:27.380 rates more than doubling, and you realize
00:37:29.380 that there is no time to make up big
00:37:32.080 losses, then you need to check out

00:38:29.520 protect your retirement and get your free
00:38:31.700 gold coin.
00:38:32.240 That's AugustaPreciousMetals.com, 877, the
00:38:35.860 number four, gold IRA.
00:38:37.760 Senator, you and I both love, and I want
00:38:41.140 you to explain, if people have never seen
00:38:44.100 Monty Python and what it is, explain it for
00:38:47.060 people before we play this.
00:38:48.420 Well, this is from the terrific movie
00:38:50.900 Life of Brian, and to give a little bit
00:38:53.280 of background, Life of Brian is a very
00:38:56.480 funny comedy, and they're in the process
00:38:58.680 now of putting together a theatrical
00:39:01.640 presentation of Life of Brian, so basically
00:39:03.760 taking it off the movie screen and doing
00:39:05.940 it on stage.
00:39:07.160 And this is, we're closing the podcast with
00:39:10.020 a bit of good news, which is that as they
00:39:13.800 were putting it on stage, there was enormous
00:39:16.800 pressure to cut one scene from the movie,
00:39:20.320 from the stage protection.
00:39:21.340 And that was the scene where they refer to
00:39:26.220 the obvious fact that men can't have babies.
00:39:29.200 And so John Cleese, who's one of the founders
00:39:31.120 of Monty Python and is an extremely funny
00:39:33.020 man, John Cleese pointed out that the actors,
00:39:37.980 as they were going through the stage
00:39:40.040 presentation, that the actors pressed hard to
00:39:44.700 cut the scene, and several of the actors, he
00:39:46.840 said, were Tony winners, and they said,
00:39:49.160 no, no, no, you can't say this, you can't
00:39:50.620 say this.
00:39:51.240 And John Cleese, to his credit, said, I, of
00:39:54.460 course, have no intention of doing so.
00:39:58.700 Look, John Cleese and I come from very
00:40:02.460 different places in the political spectrum.
00:40:04.140 He is left of center.
00:40:05.580 I am not.
00:40:06.200 But to his credit, he believes in, number
00:40:10.140 one, reality, and number two, comedy.
00:40:12.340 And it shows real courage that he says, no,
00:40:14.740 we're not going to cut the scene.
00:40:17.280 And basically all of you people insisting
00:40:20.540 that I do, I'm paraphrasing here, can piss off.
00:40:23.880 And let's listen to the scene that virtually
00:40:28.740 every actor in the stage presentation said, we must
00:40:32.120 cut, because these words are too terrifying to
00:40:35.780 hear in the modern world.
00:40:38.000 Why are you always on about women, Stan?
00:40:40.920 I want to be one.
00:40:44.080 What?
00:40:45.640 I want to be a woman.
00:40:47.840 From now on, I want you all to call me Loretta.
00:40:52.740 What?
00:40:53.580 It's my right as a man.
00:40:55.880 Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
00:40:58.240 I want to have babies.
00:41:02.120 Do you want to have babies?
00:41:04.780 It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
00:41:07.360 But you can't have babies.
00:41:09.360 Don't you oppress me.
00:41:10.480 I'm not oppressing you, Stan.
00:41:12.120 You haven't got a womb.
00:41:14.080 Where's the fetus going to gestate?
00:41:15.880 You're going to keep it in a box?
00:41:21.420 Here, I've got an idea.
00:41:23.360 Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies,
00:41:26.080 not having a womb, which is nobody's fault,
00:41:28.020 not even the Romans,
00:41:29.540 but that he can have the right to have babies.
00:41:32.620 Good idea, Judith.
00:41:34.120 We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother.
00:41:37.500 Sister.
00:41:38.700 I mean, Senator, you hear that,
00:41:40.580 and it's just so frustrating because it's a great bit,
00:41:44.460 and yet people are like, oh, I'm offended by it.
00:41:46.960 It's also completely in reality and also mocking.
00:41:51.520 I think what they saw were going to be coming down the pipe
00:41:53.860 is that people actually would want to believe this type of crap.
00:41:57.000 And yet here we are.
00:41:57.740 They're saying, oh, I won't do it.
00:41:59.160 I won't touch it.
00:42:00.100 And look, I'm glad that there's a victory on this one.
00:42:02.720 Thank goodness.
00:42:03.320 Yeah, shout out to John Cleese for having the courage to defend his art
00:42:07.620 and defend his comedy.
00:42:09.980 If we have the hard left treating comedy like they treat college debate,
00:42:16.080 saying you may only say what our doctrine insists,
00:42:20.740 comedy will cease to be funny.
00:42:22.120 And, look, I enjoy comedy that makes fun of both sides of the aisle.
00:42:26.920 I'm perfectly capable of laughing at Republicans.
00:42:29.560 I think there's a lot to mock on every place in the political aisle.
00:42:34.160 But if it gets just sanitized and drained of all life,
00:42:40.380 then comedy will lose what makes it special.
00:42:43.240 And John Cleese, at least, is holding the line.
00:42:45.680 Bravo.
00:42:46.600 Yeah, no doubt about it.
