00:01:02.240 I heart radio.
00:01:06.960 Welcome.
00:01:07.620 It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:01:10.580 Senator, we're going to get to do political strategy today on the show, which I actually love.
00:01:15.140 So this is like one of my favorites because of the insanity in a race that actually matters for control of the Senate.
00:01:21.800 We're going to dive into that.
00:01:22.840 Plus, Joe Biden's on, like, this rewrite history tour as well. 0.59
00:01:27.120 Well, we're going to cover the continued fiery crash of the Nazi communist in Maine, Graham Plattner. 0.67
00:01:36.600 It seems every day when you think there cannot be anything worse about this guy, there are no more skeletons in the closet. 0.85
00:01:44.000 It turns out that closet is, in fact, a cemetery.
00:01:47.500 It is a graveyard, and there are so many skeletons there.
00:01:51.840 there are more to come. We're going to break down why they're coming right now, why they're coming
00:01:56.340 right now so quickly, and is something sinister afoot? We're going to break that down in detail.
00:02:02.900 We're also going to talk to you about a shocking story about UNRWA, the UN relief agency that has
00:02:11.040 employed hundreds and maybe even thousands of Hamas terrorists. New breaking news there
00:02:18.840 that is going to make you, you didn't think well of the United Nations when you started listening
00:02:22.860 to this podcast. I promise you at the end of it, you're going to think even worse. You know what?
00:02:27.420 It occurs to me now, Graham Plattner would make a fantastic employee at UNRWA. He would fit right
00:02:33.060 in. They would understand his anti-American leftist vitriol. It would be a perfect mesh.
00:02:41.200 And then there's Jill Biden. Jill Biden is going on TV and just kind of crashing and burning. 1.00
00:02:47.380 Just just, you know, she's trying to defend her husband. 0.99
00:02:50.020 She is failing miserably in that.
00:02:52.360 And at the end of the day, what she's doing, I don't think she intends to, but she is indicting
00:02:56.520 the entire Democrat Party and all of the media for being willing, enthusiastic, partisan 0.80
00:03:03.400 liars.
00:03:04.000 We're going to bring you all of that today.
00:03:05.880 Yeah, it really is an incredible story.
00:03:07.740 We've got the receipts for you with the audio.
00:03:09.780 Let me also talk to you for a moment about the incredible work that's being done right
00:03:13.860 now by Americans United for Life and how you can get involved. For over the past 50 years,
00:03:21.800 AUL has filed more than 200 legal briefs and helped create at least 400 pro-life bills in
00:03:30.560 over 50 states. They're writing model legislation and consulting with the state legislators and
00:03:38.020 defending their own laws and other pro-life statues in court now americans united for life
00:03:44.660 has a dual front approach of not only writing but then defending legislation and it's proved
00:03:50.880 an effective one that could become even more impactful as pro-life state legislatures are
00:03:56.860 moving to enact protections for pre-born babies after the downfall of roe v wade they're also
00:04:03.860 protecting the mothers and now they are also doing everything they can to fight on the legality of
00:04:10.440 abortion that is returned to the states and that's where you come in you now have the opportunity to
00:04:17.020 overturn pro-abortion laws and advance pro-life legislation that attacks the most vulnerable in
00:04:23.520 our society from the womb to the tomb together we can shape the future of our nation through life
00:04:30.600 affirming legislation in every state a gift of just $25 helps hold abortion providers accountable
00:04:39.280 and helps protect women and unborn children across the country and now through a match
00:04:45.300 your gift is doubled you can donate securely at a ul.org slash verdict that's a ul.org
00:04:56.300 slash verdict sponsored by americans united for life all right senator so before we get into
00:05:01.780 politics of political theory and how to run campaigns we do have some even more breaking
00:05:07.400 news on this disaster of a candidate as you said the skeletons keep coming out of the closet
00:05:11.840 well the latest that just broke uh here's how the wall street journal covered it graham plattner's
00:05:17.600 wife flagged sexually explicit texts to his senate campaign the wife of the main senate democrat
00:05:24.400 candidate last year last year told the campaign about texts she had found between platner and 1.00
00:05:31.900 other women and notice women is plural days after graham platner announced his main senate bid his 0.99
00:05:37.980 wife informed the campaign about a potential political problem she had previously discovered 0.95
00:05:42.280 on the quote oyster farmers phone boy he's doing some oyster farming sexually explicit texts with
00:05:49.320 several women according to the people familiar with the matter amy gertner who married platner
00:05:54.120 in 2023, told the campaign about messages she had found early in their marriage in the spring of
00:05:58.860 2025. So this is a guy who can stick with something. I mean, he lasted almost 18 months
00:06:04.340 before he's caught sexually texting other women, women, not his wife. In late August,
00:06:10.700 as some aides were conducting opposition research on their own candidate, and by the way, that's a
00:06:14.660 standard thing you do in politics is when you are preparing to launch a campaign, one of the first
00:06:19.260 thing you do is hire your own team to do oppo research on you so that you know what they're
00:06:24.860 going to come and attack you with. Gerstner disclosed the text to a campaign aide to make
00:06:30.100 sure they didn't pose a risk to her husband's nascence campaign. The campaign had been preparing
00:06:35.380 for a major rally over Labor Day weekend last year with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who likes to 0.99
00:06:40.460 hang out with Nazi communists who are sexual harassers and cheating on their wives. That's 0.99
00:06:45.780 not actually in the journal story that's just kind of reading between the lines uh but who was
00:06:51.160 and this is getting back to the story set to officially endorse platner at the event
00:06:54.820 aides ultimately decided that the text were a private matter let me read that again aides
00:07:01.160 ultimately decided the text were a private matter you remember when that private matter
00:07:05.340 those sorts of private matters drove eric uh swalwell out of the california gubernatorial race
00:07:11.340 their private matter until they're not that was being handled by the couple in marriage counseling
00:07:17.240 a campaign official said the rally proceeded as planned with thousands in attendance in a statement
00:07:22.860 provided by Plattner's campaign Gertner said she believed she was confiding in an age she considered
00:07:28.760 a friend um I know who Graham is I know the man I married and the husband he has been to me the
00:07:34.680 best and worst days of my life this hasn't changed and it won't the previously unreported deliberations
00:07:40.540 last year over sexually explicit text
00:07:42.420 discovered on Plattner's phone,
00:07:44.500 come as the veteran has exploded
00:07:46.620 onto the national political scenes,
00:07:48.880 kindling Democratic hopes
00:07:50.120 that they can unseat Republican Susan Collins
00:07:52.600 and gain control of the Senate.
00:07:54.540 All right, now that's bad.
00:07:56.880 Yeah.
00:07:57.180 But surely there couldn't be worse.
00:08:00.300 Well, there is, and stop calling me surely.
00:08:03.340 Also breaking,
00:08:04.960 Graham Plattner has an active profile
00:08:08.280 on a messaging app called,
00:08:10.280 and I'm not making this up,
00:08:12.140 Predators Paradise.
00:08:15.540 Active profile, just so everybody understands what that means.
00:08:17.800 That means currently being used.
00:08:20.360 Yes, and if you read the Daily Wire,
00:08:23.580 Graham Plattner, whose Senate campaign
00:08:25.040 has been marred with scandal from the outset,
00:08:26.960 maintains an active account
00:08:28.580 on a platform notorious
00:08:31.260 for enabling sexual predators.
00:08:34.580 The main Democrat who's seeking to unseat
00:08:36.540 incumbent Senator Susan Collins
00:08:37.900 is a registered user on Kik,
00:08:40.280 a daily wire review found now kick is already known as a hotbed for child pornography
00:08:48.680 kidnapping and sexual abuse and by the way to be clear there was four months before apparently he
00:08:55.720 joined a major expose i think it was the new york times about what you just said in this site being
00:09:01.940 used by these things so if you googled you would know that you're about to join a site that is known
00:09:07.760 for child pornography and other things like that and it's like oh yeah let's sign up for that four
00:09:14.220 months after that massive expose came out you know bet i will say this seriously i'm beginning to
00:09:19.020 wonder whether we're about to have something enter popular culture which is a new euphemism
00:09:24.100 of oyster farming you know what what is my scoundrel husband doing oh he's oyster farming
00:09:30.560 i mean this guy has a potential to like set a term that is going to last well beyond the main
00:09:36.340 Senate race. And if Saturday Night Live actually did comedy, they would have an entire skit on
00:09:42.460 oyster farming. Like it cries out for it. And here's the bizarre thing. They just might.
00:09:49.380 You know, I mentioned before Eric Swalwell, and let's talk a little strategy. Let's talk about
00:09:54.540 why this information is coming out right now. Because by the way, it's not coming from
00:09:59.880 Republicans. That's a point that number one, we need to make. This is Democrats that were in his
00:10:04.740 campaign who have now outed him publicly on this. And this goes back to compare and contrast Eric
00:10:11.620 Swalwell. When Democrats thought Eric Swalwell was no longer useful, they're the ones that
00:10:16.840 released all the info to destroy him, not Republicans going after him. Let's be clear.
00:10:21.480 We're seeing this now play out as deja vu weeks later. Yeah, look, there's a real-time parallel.
00:10:27.340 And if you look at it, this story that Plattner's wife came with the sexually explicit text to the
00:10:34.720 campaign staff. You know who knew about that? The campaign staff. That's the source of this story
00:10:42.500 in all likelihood. And so you've got Democrats going after their own nominee, and it is reminiscent
00:10:49.980 of, look, Eric Swalwell, I didn't know the guy, but from everything that has been said, it was
00:10:56.400 widely known among his colleagues that the guy was a complete predator, that the guy was sexually 0.93
00:11:01.460 harassing sexually assaulting women was out partying was what was was like bluto an animal 0.79
00:11:07.200 house living his life and and democrats they didn't care they didn't care at all because he 0.99
00:11:16.200 was an attack dog and and and so he could be a sexual predator if he's attacking donald trump 0.99
00:11:20.980 they're happy with whatever he's doing um they didn't care until they realized they had a problem 0.98
00:11:27.720 in the California gubernatorial race. And by the way, look, Swalwell, it appears that other
00:11:33.360 House members knew. There may be some Democrat senators right now who knew when they were in
00:11:38.160 the House with him. There were lots and lots of staffers who knew. There presumably were
00:11:42.300 reporters who knew because these reporters and members and staffers are all very tight with each
00:11:47.800 other. And they all kept it silent until the instant there was a political benefit to getting
00:11:53.320 rid of him, and boom, it was a matter of hours, and he was gone. I gotta say, when the story was
00:12:00.940 just that Plattner was a communist, Democrats were fine. Bernie Sanders campaigned with him.
00:12:07.240 Elizabeth Warren said, he's my guy. When the story was just he was a communist with a Nazi tattoo of
00:12:13.500 a Totenkampff, the symbol of the SS they used on the death camps, amazingly, Democrats were fine.
00:12:19.820 They went out and campaigned with him, said, I'm proud to stand with him. 0.77
00:12:23.180 That's who they were.
00:12:24.740 But as the stories got worse and worse and worse, you do have to wonder, who is it that's
00:12:32.860 trying to push Plattner out?
00:12:34.700 Is it Republicans trying to smack him in the general election?
00:12:38.240 Or is it instead Democrats who want to jettison him?
00:12:44.060 And in particular, if you look at the main law, under main law, a candidate who wins the June 9th primary and subsequently withdraws by 5 p.m. on July 13th.
00:12:57.800 So this is a narrow window. We have just over a month.
00:13:00.020 By the way, make sure you mark your calendar for that date. That date matters.
00:13:03.420 July 13th, may be replaced by a nominee selected by party officials.
00:13:11.580 Any replacement candidate must be chosen no later than 5 p.m. on July 27th.
00:13:18.040 The timeline would give Democrats just 14 days to settle on a replacement candidate and prepare for the general election campaign.
00:13:25.140 So, I doubt Plattner is on board with this, but by the way, Swalwell wasn't on board with his defenestration.
00:13:32.660 I mean, he was forcibly ejected and did not have a vote in the matter.
00:13:37.980 I am quite sure Plattner is not liking his oyster farming being exposed to all of Maine and all of this country.
00:13:47.000 But you have at least some Democrats who are saying, gosh, this guy's becoming a liability.
00:13:53.480 And listen, these guys are ruthless.
00:13:56.140 I think we need to be quite aware that this could well be a Democrat-on-Democrat violence effort.
00:14:02.660 to remove Plattner, and that their objective is to get Plattner to withdraw by July 13th.
00:14:10.660 Yeah.
00:14:12.460 You look at just how quick this came out,
00:14:15.220 and Democrats are really good at planning stories and building momentum.
00:14:18.940 It's exactly the playbook they did with Swalwell.
00:14:21.520 By the way, it's also what Democrats said to Bernie Sanders
00:14:23.920 when they were making sure he didn't get the nomination if you go back.
00:14:26.480 There's some parallels here when they're like,
00:14:28.760 we're not going to support you, we're going to pull the funding,
00:14:30.540 We're going to pull everybody from you and they will destroy you.
00:14:34.380 I mean, this is a party that they always decide who their guy is.
00:14:39.240 And if they don't like you, and that included Bernie Sanders when he was running for president,
00:14:42.520 they were going to make sure he didn't get anywhere close to the nomination.
00:14:46.020 Now you look at it this way.
00:14:47.200 And I wonder this question, Senator, did Republicans maybe misplay this a little bit?
00:14:52.660 Because there was such shocking news that then we started pushing out there.
00:14:56.160 Should we have looked at that date earlier on and been like, maybe we should just be quiet for a while.
00:15:00.380 And then on the 13th, that's when we hammer his candidacy.
00:15:04.100 Look, I will say this.
00:15:06.960 Chuck Schumer and Democrat leadership wanted a different candidate. 0.93
00:15:11.180 Schumer recruited to the race Janet Mills, the Democrat governor, from sort of traditional Washington playbook. 0.98
00:15:18.080 She was by far the most attractive Democrat candidate. 0.99
00:15:22.100 The problem is the base of the Democrat party today is bat crap crazy. 0.99
00:15:26.760 They've lost their ever loving mind. 0.99
00:15:28.780 And so a safe and somewhat boring choice of a sitting Democrat governor, that was far less interesting than a Nazi communist. 0.56
00:15:39.360 That's where their base is. 0.54
00:15:41.300 Understand, being a Nazi communist is not a negative in the Democrat Party today. 0.51
00:15:45.880 It is a plus, because the people who are fueling these campaigns are themselves self-described communists, and far too many of them are Nazi communists. 0.50
00:15:55.280 That dynamic.
00:15:56.280 Yes, very much so.
00:15:58.480 Well, and the Democratic Party now has become, as a party, very much anti-Semitic.
00:16:02.140 I mean, nationwide, we're seeing activists and candidates and leaders who truly hate Jewish people,
00:16:08.520 whether they're in Israel or in the United States of America or anywhere else in the world,
00:16:11.480 that's become norm for them.
00:16:13.180 So it would not surprise me at all if this is Chuck Schumer and Chuck Schumer's minions planting these stories.
00:16:20.720 I agree.
00:16:21.760 Because he wanted a different candidate, and I think they see blood in the water,
00:16:26.160 and they're going after Plattner,
00:16:28.400 I will say this entire episode has revealed
00:16:32.900 how utterly and completely morally bankrupt the Democrat Party is.
00:16:37.420 Because as every one of these stories broke,
00:16:40.420 no Democrat senator abandoned him.
00:16:42.680 The only one who did was John Fetterman.
00:16:44.440 And Fetterman, to his credit, did the right thing. 0.98
00:16:47.020 But that makes the other 46 look all the more hypocritical. 0.97
00:16:51.760 And he's still got big name people coming to stand on stage with him. 0.87
00:16:55.040 Like, that's what's incredible. Like, he's not canceling campaign events, but you actually have what I would refer to as your top one percent list of Democratic lawmakers that you want to be seen on stage with.
00:17:07.820 If you're running a Democratic campaign, it's the equivalent of having you send or go to a Republican campaign like it's on the short list of people you want to you want to campaign with.
00:17:16.580 They're not backing out of standing by him so far.
00:17:19.880 Just today I saw a tweet from Ro Khanna, the very, very rich, very, very liberal Democrat from Silicon Valley, member of Congress.
00:17:27.560 He said how proud he is to be going to Maine to campaign with Graham Plattner.
00:17:31.500 This is where their base is.
00:17:33.600 And by the way, these people don't care that the guy's misogynist, that he's racist, that he's anti-Semitic. 0.88
00:17:39.760 They don't care that he has said that he wished that fellow veterans died. 0.99
00:17:45.840 And they don't care that he's now a registered user on a site that is filled with sexual predators and child pornography. 0.99
00:17:57.140 None of that matters.
00:17:59.460 He's on their team, so they stick with him no matter what.
00:18:03.680 And by the way, I'll draw a contrast because, you know, some might say, oh, come on, both sides do that.
00:18:08.900 Well, no, that's not true.
00:18:09.940 If you remember back a few cycles ago when Roy Moore was the nominee in Alabama, the Republican nominee.
00:18:15.700 And once he was the nominee, many of us were willing to support him.
00:18:19.040 And then the stories came out about serious, credible allegations of his engaging in sexual assault of underage girls.
00:18:27.860 And I and a number of other people, his answers were thoroughly unsatisfactory.
00:18:32.500 He could not conclusively respond to those allegations.
00:18:36.980 And I and a number of others said, all right, we're done.
00:18:39.740 Now, it resulted in a Democrat winning that seat.
00:18:42.140 So that was, from a partisan perspective, not a good thing.
00:18:45.840 But are there no Democrats that they're fond of a phrase of country over party?
00:18:52.520 Does any Democrat actually believe country over party, or are they just willing to do anything in pursuit of power?
00:19:01.740 Yeah, it's a great question.
00:19:03.000 Final one on this.
00:19:03.760 If you are Susan Collins right now looking at this, I think it's pretty clear that you'd want to run against this guy.
00:19:10.060 Plattner, that much better person for you to run against than, let's say, they do a replacement.
00:19:15.780 Is she looking at the 13th date and saying, please, let us get there as fast as we can with this guy?
00:19:22.420 Look, I don't know. I haven't talked to Susan about that.
00:19:24.820 But the speed with which it's coming out and the source of it, that it is Democrats who are going after this guy,
00:19:33.740 raises very real suspicions that they're at least some in the party.
00:19:37.340 And I suspect Schumer is front and center who have decided, let's cut our losses with this guy and throw him overboard.
00:19:46.240 And, you know, historically, the Democrats have been really good at that.
00:19:48.900 What's your prediction? Do you think they'll do it before the 13th? You think they will?
00:19:50.660 I think there's a very good chance.

00:21:20.260 I heart radio.
00:21:24.000 I want to move to UNRWA right now.
00:21:25.940 And we've talked about UNRWA on this show before, but we have new news on this.
00:21:30.080 And I want to give the headline for people so they understand just how big of an issue this is.
00:21:35.240 Even if it's not being covered by the media, that's why we do the show.
00:21:39.940 The Washington Free Beacon came out with an article.
00:21:42.200 It says, exclusive.
00:21:43.100 U.S. probe of embattled U.N. Gaza Relief Agency now expands to 1,500-plus staffers suspected with direct ties to Hamas.
00:21:54.840 Now, that would be direct ties to a terrorist organization.
00:21:57.760 Senator, we've been warning about this for a long time
00:22:00.520 The president talked about how worthless in many ways the United Nations can be
00:22:05.400 Certainly in the Middle East, this is another example of this 0.98
00:22:07.880 We know that Hamas had worked with the United Nations people on the ground
00:22:11.680 Food had been stolen, countless dollars of aid had been stolen and given to terrorists
00:22:15.640 And now you see a compromising of UN staff of up to 1,500 plus people
00:22:22.300 I wish I could say I'm surprised by this
00:22:25.260 I am not, but what does this story say about what America's role should be moving forward?
00:22:30.760 Look, for a long time, I've called for UNRWA to be completely defunded, to be shut down.
00:22:36.180 UNRWA is so bad, it makes the UN itself seem like a pro-America, fantastic organization with integrity.
00:22:44.480 UNRWA is part of the UN, but it is the most corrupt part.
00:22:48.940 Here's what was reported in the story by Adam Credo.
00:22:52.940 The federal investigation into staff at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, the UN-Gaza Relief Organization that has been closely linked to Hamas, will soon encompass at least 1,500 unrelinked individuals suspected of terror ties.
00:23:09.280 This unprecedented dragnet, reported here for the first time by the Washington Free Beacon,
00:23:14.160 exposes an aid group brimming with Hamas operatives and is generating momentum in
00:23:20.240 Congress and the Trump administration for harsher sanctions on the embattled aid group,
00:23:24.740 according to congressional staffers briefed on the matter. The punitive matters up for
00:23:29.060 consideration include stripping UNRWA of its diplomatic immunity under U.S. law,
00:23:33.600 which would open it up to legal action from terror victims,
00:23:37.200 and fully designating the aid organization as a foreign terrorist organization,
00:23:41.880 according to three Trump administration officials and other sources tracking the matter in Congress.
00:23:46.980 These discussions have accelerated since the Free Beacon first reported in April
00:23:50.800 that UNRWA and other U.N. agencies are stonewalling a federal probe into their ties to Hamas.
00:23:57.400 The U.S. Agency for International Development, Inspector General's Office,
00:24:01.120 a law enforcement agency separate from the largely defunct USAID, has spent months independently
00:24:08.820 unearthing evidence that multiple UNRWA employees participated in Hamas's October 7th terror attack.
00:24:15.900 Let me repeat that again. Multiple UNRWA employees participated in Hamas's October 7th
00:24:24.780 terror attack. The probe will soon expand to at least 1,500 suspected militants with UNRWA ties.
00:24:32.420 The article continues. Senators Ted Cruz and Bill Hagerty, influential members of the Senate
00:24:37.340 Foreign Relations Committee, nice of them to say that, both told the Free Beacon, I mean they could
00:24:42.900 have said, you know, lousy members. Those two random guys in the Senate, yeah. Two guys we ran
00:24:49.620 into on the street, so that's nice of them to say. Both told the Free Beacon that it's time to move
00:24:54.080 beyond merely freezing UNRWA's funding, particularly as the USAID inspector general
00:24:58.720 continues to unearth evidence of Hamas complicity. Quote, either they come clean or I expect growing 0.68
00:25:05.200 momentum for designating them for the support they give to terrorists, Cruz said. Hagerty called it
00:25:10.920 quote, appalling that the other UN agencies today are still stonewalling the Trump administration's
00:25:15.880 ongoing investigations. Adding that quote, if UN agencies refuse to show basic transparency and
00:25:23.040 accountability, then the executive branch and Congress must respond appropriately. That's a
00:25:29.000 big deal, and it's a big deal that both the UN and UNRWA in particular are still stonewalling
00:25:34.680 and refusing to accept any accountability whatsoever. Yeah, it is. One other thing on
00:25:40.080 this is the fact that it's so widespread. There is no way that the United Nations didn't know
00:25:45.780 about this. There was no way that UNRWA and the leadership didn't know about this, and we're not
00:25:50.120 talking about 15. We're talking about more than 1,500 with direct ties to terrorist organization.
00:25:55.080 What does that say about the president's standpoint on not just UNRWA, but also
00:25:59.160 on the UN in general? Because I don't believe for a moment that the UN doesn't know this.
00:26:05.680 Well, let's talk about how pervasive it is. So, Ben, how many employees do you think there are
00:26:11.140 at UNRWA? That's a great question. I have no clue. I mean, I'd say 10,000 just because it's
00:26:15.620 a bloated agency? Yeah, I had no idea. And so as we were preparing for the pod, I pulled out my
00:26:22.660 Google and I typed in, how many staff are there at UNRWA? And Google came back and said there
00:26:28.800 are approximately 30,000 staff at UNRWA. We now have an investigation into more than 1,500 of
00:26:37.120 them for direct ties to Hamas. That's 5% of the agency. That's not one isolated person. 1,500
00:26:45.440 out of 30,000 suspected of being Hamas terrorist or directly linked to Hamas terrorists. That is
00:26:52.980 a big damn deal. That is an agency that needs to shut down, needs to be padlocked, needs to be 0.98
00:27:00.220 ended. The idea that the United Nations, much less the United States, would be providing funding
00:27:06.120 that's going directly to Hamas terrorists, that is insanity. It needs to stop.
00:27:11.180 Yeah, I agree with you there. I want to move finally on to Joe Biden, and you want to talk
00:27:14.900 about a dumpster fire of interviews.
00:27:16.740 Joe Biden's out there.
00:27:17.880 I was like, is she, I literally was searching.
00:27:20.480 I'm like, is she promoting a book?
00:27:21.940 And does she write an autobiography?
00:27:23.720 She's out there doing all these interviews,
00:27:25.880 trying to rewrite history,
00:27:27.520 but also wants you to feel sorry for her and her husband
00:27:30.260 saying that his bad night,
00:27:32.200 she was terrified he was having a stroke.
00:27:34.360 The only problem is after she thought
00:27:35.960 he may be having a stroke
00:27:36.800 in that debate with Donald Trump,
00:27:38.580 she had no problem taking him to a campaign event
00:27:40.280 and then to a Waffle House
00:27:41.340 and said on TV with him saying there,
00:27:43.200 I'm so proud of you. You did such a great job tonight. It's either, I'm like, all right,
00:27:46.760 well, it's either senior abuse or you're a pathological liar or both. 0.89
00:27:50.880 Well, you and I did an emergency podcast the night of that debate. We did it immediately 0.85
00:27:56.000 as the debate concluded. And we told verdict listeners at the time, you've just watched the
00:28:00.620 single most consequential presidential debate in American history. And the reason is, and you and
00:28:05.280 I predicted that night as the debate ended, this debate will change the names on the ballot in
00:28:11.280 November. This debate was such a disaster, such a train wreck. The Democrats will do what we're
00:28:16.520 worried they're going to do with Graham Plattner, which is pull them off and put someone else on.
00:28:21.480 The Democrats are really, Republicans are lousy at this, by the way. Republicans almost never
00:28:25.500 managed to do this. The Democrats are ruthlessly efficient. And we saw that debate. We saw it went
00:28:32.500 badly, but it turns out apparently Jill Biden thought it went even worse than we did. Give a
00:28:38.340 listen to what she said she thought when she was watching the debate. Were you horrified as you saw
00:28:44.460 it unfold? I wasn't horrified. I was frightened because I had never, ever seen Joe like that
00:28:52.660 before or since. Never. Or since. Yes. Or since. Never. No. What happened? I don't know what
00:29:03.100 happen. I mean, as I watched it, I thought, oh my God, he's having a stroke. And it scared me to
00:29:08.660 death. Senator, if you think that your spouse is having a stroke, A, why would you leave him on
00:29:16.780 stage? B, why would you then take him to a campaign event afterwards? And C, why would you then go to
00:29:23.420 Waffle House and send it to a doctor? And D, if this is the worst it ever was and the whole world
00:29:29.740 saw that exact moment. It's never been anywhere close before or after. You're either a pathological
00:29:34.600 liar, A, or B, you're either a pathological liar who's crazy. You pick which one you want to be. 1.00
00:29:41.020 Look, Ben, this is an area where I think the American people have a great sense of intuition
00:29:47.260 of judging whether someone's speaking the truth or lying. You asked the right question. What would
00:29:53.380 you do if you believed your spouse, your spouse of many decades, was having a stroke? And the answer
00:30:00.360 every one of us would give, the answer you would give, the answer I would give, the answer everyone
00:30:04.560 would give, is you take your doctor, your spouse to the hospital immediately. Regardless of what
00:30:10.620 they're doing. Regardless of what they're doing. If you think they're having a stroke, and look,
00:30:14.280 maybe you don't rush out and pull them off national TV. I don't know about that, but at a
00:30:18.600 minimum so suppose you just just just you're scared but you don't as soon as it was over how
00:30:23.600 do you not say we're going to the emergency room we're gonna go okay you don't want a big public
00:30:29.080 public brouhaha all right get a doctor when you're watching it he's having a stroke get a doctor here
00:30:34.780 right now the instant he steps off stage i want him being examined like like like that anyone
00:30:40.100 who is watching their spouse and thinks they're having a stroke would do that she didn't do that
00:30:46.540 She went to the campaign party. She cheered and celebrated.
00:30:49.460 I'm actually not critical.
00:30:51.040 Like, you're giving harsh criticism because she said he did great.
00:30:57.240 Look, she's a campaign spouse.
00:31:00.180 Every campaign spouse is going to say that.
00:31:02.360 I'm understanding of that.
00:31:04.640 If I do a terrible job at a debate, I don't really want Heidi to go, 1.00
00:31:08.780 wow, he really crapped the bed, like that.
00:31:11.720 And I understand that.
00:31:13.260 But my point is the pathological lying aspect of this.
00:31:17.420 I don't believe for a second that she's telling the truth and she says it's the worst it's ever been.
00:31:21.140 It only happened that one time.
00:31:22.340 It happened to be the one and a half hours that was on national television during a presidential debate.
00:31:26.560 I don't believe her, number one.
00:31:28.880 And number two, if you are, I mean, Senator, let's go to a debate night with you.
00:31:34.780 If I thought as one of your friends that you're having a stroke and you could make it till the end,
00:31:39.600 I would immediately do what you just said
00:31:42.120 and I'm not your spouse
00:31:43.280 and I think your team would
00:31:44.700 but second of all
00:31:45.620 I think you'd also
00:31:46.980 if you thought there was a medical issue there
00:31:48.700 you probably would actually let people know
00:31:51.220 because they did
00:31:51.880 remember they made up an excuse
00:31:52.840 they lied and said he had a cold
00:31:54.420 like if you thought something was bad
00:31:56.520 that's your alibi to get out of a terrible debate
00:31:59.000 which is why I think they didn't actually say it
00:32:01.340 is because this was the cognitive normal for him
00:32:04.500 and so I think it's another part of the pathological lying
00:32:07.320 of the Democratic Party in the cover up
00:32:08.740 is that they're like, no, no, no, she says this one time thing.
00:32:11.340 No, it wasn't.
00:32:12.060 This is the guy that wasn't running the country.
00:32:14.180 Somebody else was in the White House.
00:32:15.800 And then they lied and covered it up.
00:32:17.700 And now she's saying it only happened one time.
00:32:19.600 I don't believe her for a moment.
00:32:21.260 Well, and in fact, listen to a reporter asking her
00:32:25.820 about whether this had been going on for a long time.
00:32:28.860 Give a listen.
00:32:29.720 Did you ever see signs that he was falling into cognitive decline?
00:32:35.540 No.
00:32:36.380 No.
00:32:37.200 No.
00:32:38.020 Truly.
00:32:39.200 No.
00:32:40.040 I mean, that's just totally insane.
00:32:42.520 Everyone saw it.
00:32:44.180 There was examples that you could actually give that were caught on tape.
00:32:48.100 And then I go back to what she said.
00:32:49.920 It was the worst I ever saw.
00:32:50.860 I thought he was having a stroke, but I didn't do anything when he was having the stroke.
00:32:53.740 And I never saw anything like this ever again.
00:32:55.900 This is why I think so many Americans have distrust for politicians.
00:32:59.620 And why you should even be asking more questions now about who the hell was running the country.
00:33:03.980 Was it Joe Biden?
00:33:04.880 I don't know.
00:33:06.460 And by the way, I'll say again, I am more forgiving of Jill Biden, of the spouse.
00:33:13.120 But every Democrat aide knew that he was in massive mental decline, that he was not capable of doing the job.
00:33:22.100 Every reporter knew that.
00:33:23.800 ABC knew that. CBS knew that. NBC knew that. CNN knew that. MSNBC knew that.
00:33:28.740 They all knew that.
00:33:30.400 And where were these questions, by the way, when the campaign was going on?
00:33:33.360 Right. Every Democrat senator, every Democrat House member, they all knew that. The four years
00:33:38.760 Joe Biden was president, do you know how many times I spoke with him in person in those four
00:33:42.540 years? I'm going to guess one or zero. Zero. Not a single time. That is weird. It is a regular part
00:33:50.900 of the job of being a senator to talk to the president. When Obama was president, I talked
00:33:55.000 to him regularly. When Trump is president, I talk to him sometimes every week or sometimes even
00:33:59.500 every day. You know, last time I talked to Trump was three days ago. It is weird. And by the way,
00:34:05.520 it was not just me. Almost every single Republican senator did not speak to him at all during his
00:34:12.840 presidency. We would sit around at lunch and talk about how weird it was that the White House would
00:34:18.220 not let us talk to the president. And understand, we all knew him. Joe was a man of the Senate for
00:34:24.380 40 plus years. So every one of us had a personal relationship with Joe Biden. And the fact that
00:34:30.520 they wouldn't let him speak to us was a screaming alarm bell that his mental capacity has diminished
00:34:37.860 so much that they couldn't let us see it. And it's why the debate was so high risk,
00:34:43.160 because there you had the TV cameras going and you couldn't have an aide step in and save him.
00:34:47.160 But, well, by the way, what do the Biden staff say about Jill Biden's comments about thinking he was having a stroke?
00:34:55.980 Well, an Axios reporter said, quote, ex-Biden aides simply don't believe Jill Biden.
00:35:04.180 And there's your sign.
00:35:05.820 Well, there's your sign.
00:35:07.720 No kidding.
00:35:09.180 But I'll tell you, and this story links back to the story we started with. 0.96
00:35:13.480 Number one, Democrats in the party and the media do not care about anything other than power.
00:35:21.240 That sounds too harsh.
00:35:23.060 But they were willing to have for four years and potentially for eight years someone who was senile, who was unable to put together coherent thoughts as the commander in chief.
00:35:34.880 understand joe biden could have pushed a button launched our nukes and annihilated mankind from
00:35:41.640 the face of the planet yep and yet democrats say you know what if he's there we get to run things
00:35:47.880 so you know what does it matter if our enemies look at the commander-in-chief and think he's a
00:35:52.500 addled old man who can't operate the tv remote control yeah that level of cynicism frankly it's 0.95
00:35:59.280 the same thought process that says, what does it matter if someone is a commie, Nazi, misogynist 0.98
00:36:07.460 racist? What does it matter? My party gets to stay in power, so that's good by me. There is, 0.98
00:36:15.740 look, I think it is, number one, we keep, and by the way, Swalwell, they were fine. Someone's a
00:36:22.920 repeat sexual predator. They were great with him until there was a political problem, and then with 0.99
00:36:28.820 all three, they immediately jettison them and throw them out the back.
00:36:36.860 I'm going to try to be restrained and say that is not the behavior of a party that gives a damn about principle.
00:36:45.480 Yeah. Yeah. Great point.
00:36:48.080 Finally, Senator, we have some breaking news as we are recording, and they're saying it's a regime rift.
00:36:53.640 I'm going to read this headline for you.
00:36:55.060 Iran's president reportedly submits a resignation letter amid claims of deepening internal divisions.
00:37:02.900 What does this mean?
00:37:04.160 And that's all we have at this moment.
00:37:06.260 I wish we had more.
00:37:07.180 We don't.
00:37:07.760 That's what we have at this moment.
00:37:08.920 Some of this, by the time you listen to it, may have changed.
00:37:11.900 But right now, that's what we've got.
00:37:14.100 So we don't know.
00:37:15.480 We're recording this on Sunday.
00:37:16.860 The news is breaking.
00:37:17.760 I expect in the next pod we'll discuss more about it. 0.99
00:37:20.860 But Iran's president resigning strikes me as a good thing. 0.92
00:37:24.920 I have always said that a critical objective here should be regime collapse. 0.96
00:37:29.520 The president resigning is a step in the right direction.
00:37:32.320 Now, sitting here today, I don't know whether that means the hardliners are prevailing
00:37:37.020 or whether that means voices of sanity are prevailing.
00:37:39.960 We'll learn more.
00:37:40.820 We'll talk more.
00:37:42.200 But as you know, I spoke with the president this week, spent about 20 minutes on the phone
00:37:47.000 with him talking predominantly about Iran.
00:37:49.660 And what I urged the president was hold the line.
00:37:52.080 hold the line, stand strong, no nukes, no nukes, no nukes. And the president
00:37:56.440 adamantly agreed with me. We were on exactly the same page. So I'm hopeful this is a good
00:38:02.020 development, but it's too early to tell. We will tell you more when we know more about it.
00:38:07.120 We'll do that Wednesday morning. Don't forget, hit that subscribe or auto download button,
00:38:10.520 and please write us a five-star review. If you want to watch the show, you can on YouTube as
00:38:14.640 well. And the senator and I will see you back here on Wednesday morning.

00:38:23.380 A lot of news is boring.
00:38:24.360 And tedious.
00:38:25.240 And depressing.
00:38:25.820 And makes you angry.
