00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.560 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.300 Welcome.
00:00:06.060 It is Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:00:07.540 We can review Ben Ferguson with you and hear the big stories that we talked about this
00:00:11.520 week that you may have missed.
00:00:13.080 First up, it was an incredible morale booster for the American military and their capabilities
00:00:18.580 to rescue the two downed pilots in Iran.
00:00:21.460 What went into all of it?
00:00:22.860 We explain it.
00:00:24.220 Second up, Democrats accused Donald Trump of war crimes if he does something.
00:00:29.860 they say he's not allowed to do we'll explain that and finally yet again another illegal alien
00:00:36.540 led into this country in the biden administration commits a violent murder and will it ever stop
00:00:43.440 it's the weekend review and it starts right now you know several people that i talked to that are
00:00:48.700 in the military over the last couple days they were really worried about the the airman uh who
00:00:53.860 was gone missing because they were like they knew what was going to happen to him if he was caught
00:00:58.340 by the irgc uh by these militias he was a dead man and and they were going to do it in a horrific
00:01:05.040 way and probably film it and put it out there's propaganda to the world yeah yeah and that was
00:01:09.580 what they were all concerned with they also said to me in in text messages on easter sunday i want
00:01:15.960 you to understand they said the morale booster of seeing that you have a commander in chief
00:01:21.180 who says i do not care what it costs i do not care go now get him go get him go get him and
00:01:29.300 use everything stop everything and use everything to go get one man and then we'll go back to what
00:01:36.300 we're doing but whatever it takes there is nothing i'm going to say no to and they said they said to
00:01:42.100 me they said ben it's been a long time since men and women in uniform have felt that they have a
00:01:47.560 commander in chief who truly has their back in this way uh one of the things they said that was
00:01:52.860 i also thought was very interesting and i'm going to look it up now see you looked up saying earlier
00:01:56.960 but but it was a quote and i want to quote this because it was so it was so important what what
00:02:02.480 this individual said that serving his country said you know go look at the comparison to bill
00:02:07.240 clinton and what he did with american troops in somalia yeah he said look at barack obama and what
00:02:13.060 he did with americans in libya look at joe biden who abandoned 13 u.s soldiers in afghanistan
00:02:18.100 trump moved mountains to rescue one american in iran one american and if you're an american
00:02:23.940 soldier right now how fired up for you to serve donald trump knowing he's genuinely got your back
00:02:29.780 well let me be clear you're serving the united states you're not serving donald trump
00:02:34.120 but agree your commander-in-chief has your back and that's a powerful thing um and by the way
00:02:41.380 it's not just you and me saying that. It's also Barack Obama's former Secretary of Homeland
00:02:47.220 Security. Listen to Jay Johnson talking about this incredible rescue.
00:02:52.660 This operation for the first pilot and the second pilot, it's a remarkable exercise,
00:02:59.040 demonstration of U.S. military courage, technology, power. I would encourage the
00:03:06.100 President and the Secretary of Defense, consistent with operational security,
00:03:09.740 share as much of that with the American public so that the American public can appreciate
00:03:14.380 what goes into this kind of operation is more complicated than the bin Laden operation
00:03:19.300 for example wow I'm not sure any of that saying something that's coming from Jay Johnson that's
00:03:24.920 pretty incredible yeah it is and and I want to drill down a little bit more on on what this does
00:03:32.200 for the fighting spirit and the morale of the entire military and and actually a different
00:03:37.340 tweet, but I thought very profound as well, from a fellow named John Conrad on X. Here's what he
00:03:43.320 said. This is why Americans are the deadliest fighters on earth. I met a priest yesterday who 1.00
00:03:48.680 just got accepted to chaplain school in Newport. I asked him the obvious question, Marines or Navy?
00:03:54.680 Navy, he said. His face fell a little. He told me he could never be a Marine because every Marine
00:04:00.660 is a rifleman, and as a priest, he can't carry a weapon. He's hoping to get assigned to a Marine
00:04:05.700 unit anyway. All chaplains are Navy officers, so that's the only door in. I laughed. I feel a little
00:04:11.780 bad about that. Then I explained to him what devil dock means. The Marine Corps doesn't have medics.
00:04:18.100 They use Navy corpsmen. I told him, when you get out to the fleet, find a Marine sergeant with a
00:04:24.820 couple of purple hearts and tell him devil docks aren't real Marines. Be prepared to duck.
00:04:32.260 marines are violently particular about who gets to wear their uniform navy corpsmen and navy
00:04:39.380 chaplains who have eaten dirt alongside them in combat qualify full stop my dad was air force not
00:04:48.140 even navy i remember going to vfw halls with him as a kid someone would ask him what service he'd
00:04:53.340 say air force or the room would chuckle a little and then they'd find out he was a medic and the
00:04:58.300 air in the room changed. Something close to reverence. Dad hated being honored. He had one
00:05:04.980 line he used to deflect it. I didn't do much. Save your praise for my cousin, the PJ. That always
00:05:11.820 broke the ice. PJs are the Air Force special operators who go into hell to pull downed pilots
00:05:19.120 out. They will take casualties and are prepared to die to rescue a single pilot or crewman.
00:05:25.400 the math doesn't math out why would any combat force take multiple casualties
00:05:32.260 to wreck rescue one air force jet jockey what the padre is about to learn is that the military
00:05:39.700 has a hierarchy that has nothing to do with rank and nothing to do with the service stitched on
00:05:44.480 your chest have you deployed have you seen combat in every firefight there are men who move towards
00:05:51.680 the guns and men who hang back and when the guy at the tip of the spear is pinned down bleeding
00:05:57.200 with rounds cracking past his head there is exactly one word he screams into the radio
00:06:02.940 medic yep here here's the catch and it is the whole reason america fights the way america fights
00:06:11.260 that marine is willing to push forward into fire because he knows the corpsman is coming
00:06:18.860 He knows the medevac birds will land in the hot LZ.
00:06:23.200 He knows the devil dock will drag him out by his plate carrier if it comes to that.
00:06:28.160 And if the medic can't help, he has what dad called injuries incompatible with life.
00:06:34.880 He knows that chaplain will crawl on his belly to administer last rites and deliver him to heaven.
00:06:44.680 The F-15 pilot punching out over enemy territory knows the same thing. 0.78
00:06:49.280 He knows the PJs will move heaven and earth to reach him and turn whatever is shooting at him into a smoking crater of hell on earth on the way in. 0.90
00:07:00.540 This is the quiet math underneath American violence. 0.95
00:07:05.320 Our warriors are the fiercest on earth, not because they're the more aggressive, not because they're better trained or better equipped, although they are all of those things.
00:07:13.840 they are the fiercest because they know in their bones that when they key the mic and call for
00:07:20.440 help help is coming in hot take that away and you don't have the u.s military anymore you have a
00:07:27.700 security force i i thought that those two posts i thought were very insightful and they sum up
00:07:34.320 a truly extraordinary and and and unique aspect of the american military
00:07:42.020 And this brings us to the second part of the conversation that is important, and that is a new warning, Senator, coming from President Trump.
00:07:51.580 If there's anything that I've learned from President Trump in his second term, there's two aspects of his foreign policy.
00:07:58.720 One is FAFO, and two is if you're an ally of the United States of America and you don't stand with us,
00:08:04.560 then his second foreign policy is, well, good luck to you,
00:08:07.280 because we're not going to keep funding and doing things like NATO or UN
00:08:11.720 or whatever it may be if you're taking advantage of us.
00:08:14.760 He's calling that out as well.
00:08:16.680 And the president has made it clear,
00:08:18.860 when he tells you there's a deadline for something, he means it.
00:08:22.640 There's a new deadline with Iran and Tehran and the leadership there,
00:08:27.580 and let's talk about what his new threat is by Tuesday. 0.90
00:08:31.500 Well, on Sunday, he sent out a truth social.
00:08:34.560 That reads, Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day, all wrapped up in one in Iran. 0.86
00:08:45.320 There will be nothing like it. 1.00
00:08:49.140 Open the effing straight, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell. 1.00
00:08:57.380 Just watch, praise be to Allah, President Donald J. Trump. 1.00
00:09:02.540 Now, I will say he did not abbreviate effing, but but but this is a PG rated podcast.
00:09:08.300 So I did. I will say also that after he sent that true social, the Wall Street Journal article that I quoted at the beginning of this show quotes it.
00:09:18.780 And for the first time I've ever seen the F bomb in the Wall Street Journal, they did it quoting the president of the United States.
00:09:25.280 I'm not aware of any precedent of a president dropping the F-bomb, but then again, I'm not aware of any president dropping the level of bombs that he is dropping in a concentrated focus that is having this kind of effect.
00:09:39.260 And look, I think Tuesday night is a very serious deadline.
00:09:43.920 The president wants the Strait of Hormuz open. 0.98
00:09:46.900 And if you're an Iranian leader, as bat crap crazy as those guys are, I don't think they think this is a bluff. 1.00
00:09:56.660 Yeah, I would think not. 1.00
00:09:58.400 Now, they may be crazy enough just to say, go ahead and do it.
00:10:00.900 And that may be how much they're holding on for dear life just to try to save control.
00:10:05.880 But I agree with you.
00:10:06.740 I don't think they think he's bluffing at all. 0.82
00:10:08.280 well and that's the challenge it is that the mullahs i i don't think care at all about their
00:10:16.340 people you know we talked to bor before about comparing say the nazi army to to the allies
00:10:22.080 during world war ii that hitler was willing to send german soldiers in to die and just have them 0.62
00:10:26.720 mowed over um i think the same is is true with the mullahs they're happy to have not happy but
00:10:34.160 they're willing to have as many Iranians die as need be. They believe they're on a mission from 0.64
00:10:40.180 God. This is, it is theocratic. And if thousands, look, they murdered, the Ayatollah just murdered
00:10:49.860 about 40,000 Iranians who were rising up in protest. So thousands of Iranians dying doesn't
00:10:56.080 bother them at all. Tens of thousands doesn't bother them at all. It may prove to be the case
00:11:01.320 that hundreds of thousands or even millions of Iranians dying doesn't bother them. And so the
00:11:06.820 question is, look, if the U.S. military takes out the power plants and takes out the bridges,
00:11:12.400 that kind of hard infrastructure, that doesn't get rebuilt overnight. That has real and long-lasting
00:11:20.440 damage to the economy in Iran. It imposes enormous consequences on Iran. What I don't know
00:11:29.880 is does a theocratic mullah who's chanting death to America
00:11:34.500 care about inflicting massive misery on the Iranian people
00:11:39.680 and devastating the Iranian economy? 1.00
00:11:42.040 I guess we'll find out by Tuesday.
00:11:44.040 I don't know the answer to it.
00:11:45.100 You know, what's interesting is I was asked this question over the weekend,
00:11:47.940 and it's one I want to ask you, Senator.
00:11:49.980 It was someone said, all right, well, look, let's say we do this
00:11:52.700 and we knock out their power plant.
00:11:54.520 What good does that do us?
00:11:55.580 Because then we're just going to have to help them rebuild it one day.
00:11:57.900 My response was, what you don't understand is that may be what it is it takes for the people to really overthrow their government.
00:12:06.280 It'll also have a devastating impact on their military in general.
00:12:09.960 And it's another it's another way to fast track them losing control of their country.
00:12:15.060 That's the reason why I think the president saying, all right, fine, you guys aren't budging.
00:12:19.080 Well, then we're going to go to the next step here because I'm not backing down.
00:12:21.840 Yeah. And look, the president in his nationwide address said he was going to bomb them back into the Stone Ages.
00:12:29.140 What's one of the aspects of the Stone Ages? Not having electricity, not having power, going back to lighting fires for light.
00:12:37.280 You take out all their power plants and they have no electricity, which is amazing for an oil rich country like Iran.
00:12:45.020 But you want to talk about grinding the economy to a halt immediately, grinding the military to a halt.
00:12:50.660 everything runs on electricity yeah and and and so shutting down power and by the way you take
00:12:56.960 out the bridges that means you know it's one of the things that that i've learned i didn't realize
00:13:01.460 when i was a kid how much of military effectiveness is logistics one of the incredible things our
00:13:07.220 military is really good at is moving people and material getting it in there getting ammunition
00:13:13.400 in there getting food in there getting fuel in there uh moving it around all of that logistically
00:13:20.300 we are extraordinarily we the military that not you and me you know i'm a lawyer and you're even
00:13:25.620 worse you're a podcaster so so so we are not extraordinary logistically but but the military
00:13:30.820 is um notice how i'm not a podcaster apparently you do this just yeah i was gonna say it just 0.53
00:13:36.100 you just threw me under the bus without i'm pretty sure the name of the show is behind me
00:13:40.200 there but we just keep going there we go yeah you know pot pot meat kettle um but
00:13:44.580 look you take out the bridges and the ability to move the military to move but anyone else to move
00:13:51.560 you basically shut down uh commerce in the country that puts enormous economic pressure on the
00:13:57.960 country um look my hope is that that the end game on this is the people rise up and say enough with 1.00
00:14:05.840 these crazy mullahs we want you out and and my objective has always been the president laid out 0.99
00:14:12.480 his objective, which is to eliminate the Iranian military's ability to strike out and kill Americans 1.00
00:14:17.240 or kill our allies. That's a very important objective. I think the objective should be 0.97
00:14:21.800 to collapse this regime, to have Iran led by a government that is not a crazy Islamist who 0.95
00:14:29.980 wants to murder Americans. I don't care who it is, as long as they're not actively murdering 0.93
00:14:34.920 Americans. If they're not murdering Americans, if they're not trying to murder Americans,
00:14:38.940 I'm good with it.
00:14:39.980 Now, the next step, if we've leveled all the power plants, you get a new government in.
00:14:45.020 The new government is going to have to rebuild the power plants. 0.79
00:14:48.500 Now, I will note that there is one advantage for rebuilding, which is Iran has a crap ton of oil. 0.95
00:14:56.220 Yeah. 0.86
00:14:56.500 And so very quickly financially.
00:14:59.140 There's a revenue stream.
00:15:00.520 So you said like people said to you, well, gosh, we're going to have to rebuild it.
00:15:03.700 I promise you if Trump bombs it, the American taxpayers are not rebuilding it.
00:15:08.340 There is no scenario in which the end game is Trump writing a check.
00:15:12.360 Now, there may be a scenario, depending on what happens, where when you have a new government, if they're a friend and ally with America, you could see assistance on the construction that is paid for by Iranian oil revenues.
00:15:26.180 It's possible that we help them build it back where they're paying for it.
00:15:30.380 But I don't envision any universe in which America is paying for this.
00:15:35.560 And I think anyone who knows Donald Trump knows that's right.
00:15:39.320 Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation, you can go back and listen to the full podcast from earlier this week.
00:15:46.260 Now on to story number two.
00:15:48.320 Let me ask you another question that's gotten a lot of fodder online, and I think it's an important one to answer.
00:15:55.440 Democrats and the media really seem to be trying to figure out some way, even if there's success with this Iranian policy of Trump, that they can stick it to Donald Trump.
00:16:04.560 And now the new thing over the last 24, 48 hours, Ben, Donald Trump is advocating for committing war crimes by blowing up bridges potentially in Iran and power plants in Iran.
00:16:16.100 Let's talk about the war crimes aspect of this and deal with what Americans need to know about this new line by the left, because they care more about Donald Trump being in trouble than actually taking out a murderous regime in Iran.
00:16:31.000 That's true. And I will say one of the sad things that used to be the case for a long, long time that that politics ended at the water's edge.
00:16:38.760 In other words, that that Republicans and Democrats battle here at home over all sorts of issues.
00:16:44.160 But when it comes to military conflict abroad, when it comes to defending America, that that the two sides refrain from partisan attack.
00:16:52.020 I got to say that is not the case anymore. The instant President Trump launched this attack, Democrats began savaging.
00:17:00.300 him you know we had a classified briefing shortly after the beginning of of this attack
00:17:05.220 where you had the secretary of state secretary defense chairman of the joint chiefs the head
00:17:09.360 of the cia kind of all the top national security apparatus in the trump administration yeah and all
00:17:15.000 100 uh senators attended that uh and they were laying out what was happening and and look i'm
00:17:21.920 not going to say anything that was said by the briefers in the classified briefing but i can
00:17:26.200 tell you, other than John Fetterman, who's been very positive on what he said publicly about the
00:17:32.280 conflict with Iran, every single Democrat senator in the room was highly, highly skeptical, was
00:17:39.460 attacking what happened, was opposing what happened, was started on day one with, we are against
00:17:47.020 standing up to Iran. And I sat there and just kind of shook my head. I was saddened by that. 0.86
00:17:53.100 and so one of their talking points when when president trump said he was going to take out
00:17:57.480 power plants and bridges and why did he say power plants and bridges by the way look the biggest
00:18:02.380 thing to take out for iran is their oil production facility karg island which is the key to it's
00:18:07.420 where they export virtually all their oil from yep karg island if we really wanted to cripple 0.96
00:18:13.080 iran and and and put them into the stone age we'd take out their their oil facilities we'd bomb the 0.96
00:18:19.120 hell out of Karg Island and Iran's economy would just be screwed for a decade instantly yeah 0.99
00:18:26.260 instantly by the way people need to understand that like if you just wanted to decimate them 0.54
00:18:30.260 economically that is how you would do it and it would not be that hard so Trump very deliberately
00:18:36.420 has not done that the reason he said power plants and bridges is because they're critically important
00:18:42.700 to the economy you take out the power plants the electricity turns off the military is crippled
00:18:47.520 but also the economy is crippled the basic all of banking all of communication lights literally at
00:18:52.500 night people start lighting candles because there's no longer the light switches don't work
00:18:56.500 and bridges are essential for transportation both military and commercial transportation
00:19:03.120 across the country i think the reason he picked those two is their enormous lever points and and
00:19:10.780 his hope is that it would cause the collapse of this regime i believe um but also it means if
00:19:17.320 there were a new government in iran the oil facilities would still be there so they have
00:19:22.340 the ability to generate billions in revenue pretty quickly and that billions if if the united states
00:19:28.560 military took out the power infrastructure if you had billions in oil revenue coming in
00:19:32.960 you could rebuild it wouldn't be immediate but having the revenue stream makes rebuilding much
00:19:39.260 more possible than if you take out the oil infrastructure the revenue stream is much
00:19:44.560 further down the road and it's much harder to turn around i think that's why i picked it but
00:19:48.860 i will say we're getting a lot of pompous democrats and and pompous news reporters although i repeat
00:19:54.980 myself uh on tv saying taking out uh civilian power plants is a war crime yeah well let let
00:20:03.920 me read to you from the pentagon's law of war manual so the pentagon has a manual on the law
00:20:10.280 of War. Here's what it says, quote, electric power stations are generally recognized to be
00:20:16.880 of sufficient importance to a state's capacity to meet its wartime needs of communication,
00:20:23.660 transport, and industry, so as usually to qualify as military objectives during armed conflicts.
00:20:32.920 And by the way, the broader section, which I will read from you, this is in
00:20:38.340 section 5.6.8.5 examples of military objectives economic objects associated with military
00:20:47.440 operations and it says before what i just read economic objects associated with military
00:20:52.620 operations or with war supporting or war sustaining industries have been regarded
00:20:57.660 as military objectives uh that is incredibly inconvenient for all of the trump haters in
00:21:08.060 the democrat party or in the media who want to scream war crime war crime war crime because
00:21:12.640 there's no doubt the power generation is integral to the war fighting ability of iran and and yeah
00:21:19.060 and and listen i will say the fact that pakistan stepped in it actually goes to what we said on
00:21:25.860 monday's podcast which is trump's threat with any ordinary and rational leader would be incredibly
00:21:33.280 effective if you actually had a leader that gave a damn about their people that gave a damn about
00:21:38.040 their economy, that threat would be, holy cow, we can't let that happen. The risk factor is the very
00:21:44.960 real possibility that the Ayatollah and the Mullahs just don't care, that they're willing to see that
00:21:49.880 kind of devastation to their country. I will say Pakistan. Pakistan is, I've long described Pakistan 0.92
00:21:58.280 as a problematic ally. They are an ally, but there are challenges in Pakistan. I actually
00:22:04.580 You put Pakistan and Turkey.
00:22:05.700 That's a very diplomatic way of putting that, yes.
00:22:08.160 But you know what?
00:22:09.040 They're an ally rather than a friend, but there are real challenges.
00:22:12.100 We work with Pakistan. 1.00
00:22:13.340 There are a lot of bad people who are enemies of America that are within Pakistan, but we
00:22:17.180 work with the government of Pakistan.
00:22:19.240 And I think the prime minister of Pakistan stepped up and said, hey, look, you guys in
00:22:25.380 Iran, don't go down this road and end up crippling.
00:22:30.180 Don't go back to the dark ages.
00:22:31.740 And this goes back to where Pakistan may have some credibility with Iran. I don't know if Pakistan provided Iran something of an off-ramp. That's a good interpretation. Or if Iran's just seizing on this to delay. That's another interpretation that is possible.
00:22:48.540 But I do think Pakistan stepping forward and saying, let's have a two-week ceasefire, is an example of a more normal country and a leader who presumably cares about his people, at least to a significant extent, stepping forward to Iran and saying, come on, guys, don't keep playing chicken.
00:23:10.340 This doesn't end up well.
00:23:11.380 As before, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation on this topic, you can go back and download the podcast from early this week to hear the entire thing.
00:23:20.720 I want to get back to the big story number three of the week you may have missed.
00:23:24.980 Senator, we want to talk about another issue that it needs to be back on the radar screen for a lot of Americans. 1.00
00:23:32.000 And that is the continual crimes are being committed by illegal immigrants that are in this country. 0.99
00:23:38.860 The media continues to overlook this. 1.00
00:23:42.220 They don't want you to know that it's happening.
00:23:44.400 But it's another example of why the president needs to be fighting so hard against these sanctuary cities that are that are harboring many of these criminals that are, as he would describe them, really bad hombres.
00:23:55.120 Well, you may recall back in 2024 at the Republican National Convention, when I spoke and addressed the convention, my remarks were focused on this topic. 0.98
00:24:04.340 And the theme of it was every damn day. 0.97
00:24:08.860 every day another american is raped another american is assaulted another american is 0.99
00:24:14.560 murdered by a violent criminal illegal alien that joe biden and the democrats have released and i 0.81
00:24:20.380 walk through the tragic cases of jocelyn nungary the beautiful 12 year old girl raped and murdered
00:24:26.100 here in houston i walked through lakin riley the the horrific uh murder of the young nursing
00:24:32.600 student in Georgia. I walked through Rachel Moran, the mom of five, raped and murdered
00:24:38.780 outside of Washington, D.C. It was happening over and over and over again. That was one of the big
00:24:45.720 reasons that the voters came out in overwhelming numbers, reelected President Trump, elected a
00:24:50.300 Republican House, elected a Republican Senate. And we've seen immediate results. We've seen
00:24:56.820 Illegal border crossings dropped more than 99%.
00:24:59.980 The problem is we have four years of open borders that we have to unwind.
00:25:04.860 We have over 12 million illegal aliens that were allowed to flood into this country.
00:25:09.120 And so just this week, the story broke that a gas station clerk, a mom in Fort Myers, Florida, was bludgeoned to death with a hammer.
00:25:21.700 I mean, what a horrible way to go.
00:25:23.240 Beaten to death with a hammer.
00:25:25.040 And who is it that committed this crime?
00:25:27.400 A Haitian illegal alien who was caught and then released at the border by the Biden administration in 2022.
00:25:35.560 An immigration judge ordered him deported.
00:25:39.020 Robert Joachim is his name.
00:25:41.940 But the Biden administration shielded him from deportation by granting him temporary protected status.
00:25:52.200 So in other words, what this person did, he took a hammer in the parking lot of a gas station.
00:25:58.420 He walks at her with full strength. 0.78
00:26:00.500 He beats her on the head with a hammer. 0.79
00:26:02.500 She falls down unconscious. 0.97
00:26:04.180 And then he crushes her head with the hammer while she's unconscious six more times.
00:26:12.380 Here's the statement the Department of Homeland Security put out. 0.83
00:26:14.940 Quote, this illegal alien barbarically hit this woman in the head multiple times.
00:26:21.400 with a hammer this heinous murderer was released into the country by the biden administration
00:26:28.420 not only did the biden administration release him into the country but they gave him temporary
00:26:33.800 protected status their reckless immigration policies cost this woman her life this keeps
00:26:44.100 happening over and over and over again and what is amazing ben in spite of that every democrat in
00:26:55.960 the senate when we have a vote the department of homeland security still shut down because they
00:27:00.360 have decided they hate ice so much they hate border enforcement so much that it is the position
00:27:04.920 of the democrat party they are opposed they want to defund ice which is the organizations
00:27:11.380 that is charged with finding this vicious criminal,
00:27:15.960 arresting him, and deporting him.
00:27:18.480 They don't want him deported. 1.00
00:27:20.060 They want this Haitian murderer in your community. 1.00
00:27:22.880 They don't care if you happen to be the poor woman who's bludgeoned to death. 1.00
00:27:28.560 Look, you know, Chris Murphy, the very liberal Democrat from Connecticut,
00:27:34.620 was on TV, and, you know, there's an old line that a gaffe
00:27:38.240 is when a politician actually accidentally tells the truth.
00:27:41.380 He described, he said, the people we care about the most, meaning we, meaning Democrats, are illegal immigrants.
00:27:50.660 That is what their party is.
00:27:52.840 And it's infuriating.
00:27:54.160 It keeps happening over and over and over again.
00:27:57.220 When you talk about it still being shut down, and this is, I think, why the midterms are going to be really important.
00:28:04.160 Obviously, this should be one of the important issues of the midterms that Republicans need to remind.
00:28:08.440 if Democrats get back in charge they've made it clear they will immediately open the borders wide
00:28:13.700 up and they don't care who comes in that like it's going to happen get ready for it that is
00:28:18.560 their for that is their policy and they will absolutely abolish ICE if they can do it as well
00:28:24.060 and by the way understand the risk is not just the murderers it's not just the child molesters
00:28:31.520 and the rapists and the gangbangers it is also a very real risk of terrorism we have seen in the 0.93
00:28:36.940 Last month, four acts of terrorism by radical Islamic terrorists.
00:28:41.100 And here's a story that broke this week.
00:28:43.680 I'm just going to read a tweet from Bill Malusian, the fantastic reporter at Fox.
00:28:48.580 Here's what he said.
00:28:49.260 New Border Patrol caught and arrested for British nationals entering the U.S.
00:28:54.600 illegally in a remote part of Maine after crossing from Canada.
00:28:59.860 Their names. 0.93
00:29:01.120 These are for British nationals.
00:29:03.320 Ali Muhammad Ali Abdullah that's number one Hamid Muhammad Nagi that's number two Ibrahim Ayyub Khan 1.00
00:29:15.760 that's number three and Muhammad Sultan Saleh and these are illegal immigrants that were sneaking 0.92
00:29:23.380 into a remote wooded part of Maine this is dangerous now you know what happened
00:29:31.220 because president trump is in office and border patrol is allowed to do their job they were
00:29:35.920 apprehended they weren't just let in and they're apprehended i you know what i guarantee you they
00:29:41.680 will not be released they won't be released into this country if joe biden were president
00:29:45.580 those four people whose names i just released they'd be the name that they'd be released and
00:29:51.140 and we might be reading about them uh in another week or two that pattern has played out over and
00:29:58.200 over and over again and and by the way it's not just illegal immigrants it is criminals across
00:30:07.860 the board it is criminals across the board such such as for example uh de carlos brown 0.98
00:30:17.680 who was this psychotic lunatic who murdered the the beautiful ukrainian woman in in north carolina 0.99
00:30:26.740 he was just ruled not competent to stand trial and i don't doubt that the guy is crazy as a loon 0.98
00:30:37.740 but let's be clear democrats and roy cooper in particular the democrat governor 0.97
00:30:44.320 released this psychopath murderer 14 separate times 14 if you keep releasing
00:30:56.040 violent criminals and actually help me on this ben play play devil's advocate for a minute try
00:31:01.960 to get inside the mind of a democrat why would they want to release violent criminals over and
00:31:08.540 over again yeah it doesn't make sense and yet they continue to do it because for them i really do
00:31:13.800 think it's an issue of politics right they want to bring in a new voters that's the simplest way i
00:31:19.400 can put it well it's not just new new voters yes for the illegals but you look at this to carlos 0.97
00:31:24.720 brown he was not an illegal immigrant he was just a psychopathic lunatic american but you know what 0.77
00:31:29.500 democrats also think not only should he be released from jail they think he ought to be a voter he's 0.97
00:31:34.980 perfectly fine to vote in in u.s elections and i guarantee you violent criminals vote overwhelmingly
00:31:41.360 democrat and and i guess that explains why the democrats their priority is violent criminals and
00:31:46.540 not american citizens as always thank you for listening to verdict with senator ted cruz ben
