00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.640 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.360 Welcome, it is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.380 And Senator, there are certain shows when we get ready and we're getting everything in line before the show,
00:00:14.500 you just say, yeah, this is an important one.
00:00:16.940 We've got two big topics we're going to be talking about, including the big backfire by Democrats.
00:00:22.220 Yeah, so today is day six of the Schumer shutdown.
00:00:25.540 And I got to say, it is not going well for Democrats.
00:00:28.400 Democrats are panicking.
00:00:30.460 The American people recognize that they have shut the government down in an act of petulance, 0.91
00:00:35.460 in an act of Chuck Schumer trying to cover his left wing with the crazy activists in his party.
00:00:44.240 And the Democrats don't have an out.
00:00:46.580 And it's not going well.
00:00:48.000 The American people get the joke.
00:00:49.640 We're going to break that down and tell you how this is going to end.
00:00:52.920 And it is going to end.
00:00:54.000 And spoiler alert, it's going to end with complete and total capitulation from the Democrats,
00:00:59.020 which is part of why Schumer and the Democrats are panicking, because they don't see an alternative to that.
00:01:04.640 Secondly, we're going to talk about a story from this past week that, to be honest, just pisses me off,
00:01:11.340 really made me angry when it broke, which is the deranged killer who went from California to Maryland to murder Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
00:01:19.920 He was sentenced this week.
00:01:24.260 DOJ sought 30 years for an attempted murder of a Supreme Court justice, a very reasonable sentence. 0.85
00:01:32.540 A Biden left wing judge instead deviated downwards 22 years, sentenced him to just eight years.
00:01:41.140 Why? 0.97
00:01:42.280 Because the murderer is transgender. 1.00
00:01:44.280 And so it's OK, apparently, from the left wing's view, if you are trying to assassinate a sitting Supreme Court justice, 0.96
00:01:51.480 if you happen to be transgender, their woke politics trumps any sense of law and order or justice. 1.00
00:01:57.700 It's an outrageous story.
00:01:59.080 We're going to give you all the details.
00:02:01.000 If you've ever listened to the show before, you know I'm a big advocate for the Second Amendment.
00:02:04.700 And I've shared on numerous occasions how carrying a firearm literally saved my life from a gang-related attack.
00:02:10.560 But many of you out there may not feel comfortable carrying a firearm.
00:02:13.520 Maybe you have a loved one that's just not comfortable.
00:02:16.200 They need a way to protect themselves.
00:02:18.240 And that's why I want you to know about Burna launchers.
00:02:20.740 I have them, and I've given them to many family members.
00:02:23.560 Burna is a handheld pistol that fires both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants to separate you from an attacker.
00:02:30.960 Josh Sherrard from Burna has been with us telling stories of how Burna has helped save lives
00:02:35.800 or could have been the best option for protection.
00:02:38.580 Josh, this next one is incredibly sad, and I want you to talk about the father that was involved with a shooting.
00:02:45.160 Absolutely.
00:02:45.800 So in this particular case, a 16-year-old girl was coming home late one night, about 3 a.m. in the morning,
00:02:52.160 entering through the garage.
00:02:53.260 Unfortunately, the father hears a noise in the garage, grabs his gun, goes out there,
00:02:58.200 sees a dark figure walking through the garage, points that gun, fires.
00:03:01.340 Only at that point, realizing that he had just killed his 16-year-old daughter.
00:03:06.180 This is an illustration of where guns in homes, if not used properly, can have dire, dire consequences.
00:03:14.180 In this case, one bullet killed two lives, and the lives of many others in that family.
00:03:19.340 It was incredibly tragic.
00:03:21.000 And unfortunately, we see this situation dozens and dozens of times every year throughout the U.S.
00:03:25.680 Yeah, that's one of the questions that I think some people ask is, like,
00:03:28.240 is this just a one-off occurrence that would never happen to me?
00:03:31.180 Unfortunately, as you mentioned, this happens a lot more often than people realize.
00:03:35.080 Yeah, absolutely.
00:03:35.900 Unfortunately, people think that the best tool and the only tool for home defense is a gun,
00:03:39.860 and they get a gun, they never train with it, they never train the tactics that requires,
00:03:43.480 they don't do the other things, like flashlights and all the other things that are necessary
00:03:47.020 to make sure that they can use that gun properly,
00:03:49.340 and then that's when you have something like this happen.
00:03:51.580 With a Berna, if the same thing had happened, you put a Berna in his hand,
00:03:54.560 his daughter would be really mad after she was done coughing for about 45 minutes, but still alive. 1.00
00:03:59.600 Yeah.
00:03:59.820 If you want to get more information on how Berna can help you or a family member protect themselves,
00:04:04.280 go to BernaByrna.com.
00:04:07.620 That's BernaByrna.com.
00:04:10.040 Again, BernaByrna.com.
00:04:14.380 All right, so, Senator, let's take a moment and update people on where we are with this government shutdown.
00:04:19.500 I was literally at church on Sunday, and I had countless people walk up, and they're like,
00:04:24.740 dude, how long is this going to last?
00:04:26.060 When's this going to end?
00:04:27.780 Is this going to be a really long-term shutdown, or is this going to be something that's going to get resolved pretty quickly?
00:04:32.640 So let's talk about you in Washington last week.
00:04:35.520 There were votes and movement, but it did not move enough to make the government go back to actually working for the American people.
00:04:43.900 When you left D.C., what was the temperature, and you said now Democrats, you feel like, are actually freaking out?
00:04:50.500 Yeah, look, I and every other Republican has voted repeatedly to open up the government.
00:04:55.700 The House of Representatives has passed a clean CR, a clean continuing resolution that keeps the government open,
00:05:01.840 and it's the Democrats who keep voting it down.
00:05:04.540 And we're going to this week, we're going to be back in.
00:05:07.340 We'll be in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, maybe Friday.
00:05:10.640 Every day, we will vote to open the government.
00:05:13.900 Right now, if the Democrats don't change, every day, the Democrats will vote to keep the government shut down.
00:05:20.740 And the challenge is they don't have an off-ramp.
00:05:24.060 They're trying to make up all sorts of things to say, we're going to shut the government down because of X, because of Y.
00:05:31.680 They're claiming it's all about that they really, really, really want to give health care to illegal aliens.
00:05:38.520 Actually, ironically, they're not claiming that.
00:05:40.900 That's in the language of the bill they keep voting for.
00:05:43.480 So every Democrat keeps voting for a bill that would provide government-provided health care for illegals. 0.73
00:05:50.280 And then they're going on TV saying, what?
00:05:52.580 Us?
00:05:53.040 No, no, no.
00:05:53.420 We don't want health care for illegals. 1.00
00:05:54.860 Who's ever heard of such a thing?
00:05:56.100 That's not possibly what we want.
00:05:58.340 So there's a level of incoherence in terms of what their ask is.
00:06:01.700 But there's a reason for that.
00:06:04.020 They don't actually have a real ask.
00:06:06.020 What they have is a political problem for Chuck Schumer.
00:06:09.740 When he last kept the government open, he came very close to losing his job.
00:06:14.460 The radical left wing rose up.
00:06:16.280 They were furious.
00:06:18.000 I got to say, Ben, it is astonishing.
00:06:19.920 Every single Democrat Senate candidate in the country who has been asked, do you support Chuck Schumer to remain the Democrat leader in the Senate?
00:06:29.060 But not one, not a single incumbent, not a single challenger has said, yep, he's our leader.
00:06:35.860 They're all running terrified.
00:06:38.040 So you want to know why there's a shutdown?
00:06:39.880 Because Schumer needs to beat his chest.
00:06:41.860 Now, at some point, he'll stop beating his chest and the government will reopen.
00:06:45.860 But just this week, CBS did a poll.
00:06:50.420 And I got to say, the Democrats' numbers are near an all-time low.
00:06:57.740 The Democrats' favorability rating is at 34%, 66% unfavorable.
00:07:05.520 And it really is striking.
00:07:07.220 So CBS, now this is not a right-wing poll.
00:07:09.320 This is CBS.
00:07:10.340 CBS asked, what words describe the Democrat Party?
00:07:17.560 What do you think the number one word was?
00:07:20.160 I'm going to guess it wasn't like inspirational, like hope and change back in the day when Obama was around.
00:07:26.260 Weak.
00:07:26.940 There you go. 0.94
00:07:28.800 Weak.
00:07:29.940 Weak was 64% of Americans bold said the Democrat Party is weak.
00:07:35.560 What do you think the number two word was?
00:07:37.740 I'm going to go with not strong.
00:07:41.340 Extreme.
00:07:43.160 46% said extreme.
00:07:45.880 So weak and extreme are the top two words.
00:07:49.020 Now, after that, you've got reasonable.
00:07:51.360 Reasonable is at 44%.
00:07:53.200 Strong.
00:07:54.820 You actually asked about strong.
00:07:56.140 What percent do you think, say, the Democrat Party is strong?
00:07:59.380 I mean, if I had to guess, I'd say 35%.
00:08:02.280 27.
00:08:03.920 Wow.
00:08:04.360 So even lower than I thought, because 35 was not like a good number, by the way.
00:08:07.580 And, by the way, effective.
00:08:10.260 What percent do you think, say, the Democrat Party is effective?
00:08:14.320 I'm going to say, based on what you just said a moment ago, 25%?
00:08:19.020 26.
00:08:19.960 There you go.
00:08:20.500 Okay, good.
00:08:20.840 So, all right, think for a minute.
00:08:23.700 You are running the Democrat Party Senate campaign, the Democrat Party House campaign.
00:08:30.300 Your message right now, two-thirds of Americans think we're weak.
00:08:35.620 Half of Americans think we're extreme.
00:08:38.200 We've got a full quarter of Americans who think we're strong and effective.
00:08:41.600 So we're telling you quarter of Americans, we are strong and effective. 0.99
00:08:45.300 Everyone else, you know, we're full of crap. 0.99
00:08:47.960 That is the definition of a political crisis. 0.99
00:08:50.540 You want to know why my colleagues are nervous?
00:08:53.440 Look, this past week, I sent out a meme.
00:08:58.040 So you may have seen, and in fact, I know you've seen, Ben,
00:09:01.180 President Trump sent out a meme of Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero with a big handlebar mustache.
00:09:08.220 By the way, so good and hilarious and just funny, and people need to calm down.
00:09:13.040 But, of course, Democrats start screaming racism right away. 0.99
00:09:15.980 Look, it was funny as crap. 1.00
00:09:17.480 It was AI. 0.99
00:09:18.060 So it had Chuck Schumer saying, all right, nobody's voting for Democrats because they know our BS.
00:09:24.580 But I have to admit, I doubled over laughing.
00:09:28.460 And, look, it's obviously AI. 1.00
00:09:29.980 Nobody thinks that Schumer actually said we, the Democrats, are full of crap. 0.99
00:09:36.700 Like, it's obvious they're lying. 0.99
00:09:38.900 But what people have gone nuts about is Hakeem Jeffries is there.
00:09:43.500 They're saying, okay, nobody votes for us.
00:09:46.780 Everyone hates us.
00:09:47.960 So we've decided to go all in on free health care, free illegals, because maybe the illegals, they don't speak English. 0.98
00:09:53.580 So maybe they'll support us at least for a while until they discover how horrible we are.
00:09:57.640 And then they won't support us either.
00:09:59.380 That's a paraphrase of what Schumer says in the video.
00:10:02.440 And you have Hakeem Jeffries and a sombrero and a big mustachio next to him.
00:10:07.140 And I have to admit, my team, we took a video.
00:10:12.000 There are 44 Democrats who keep voting to shut the government down.
00:10:14.900 So we took pictures of all 44 of those Democrat senators.
00:10:19.460 And we used a little bit of AI, and we stuck sombreros and big old mustaches on them.
00:10:24.960 And we put it out.
00:10:26.360 And we put it out.
00:10:27.900 Actually, I want to play the tune.
00:10:29.720 And we're not going to play the whole thing.
00:10:30.780 But I want to play the tune that we put it out to, because it's very neutral and nonpolitical.
00:10:37.660 Give a listen to the song that we put out.
00:10:41.060 And mind you, while you're listening to this song, you have a cascade of 44 Democrat senators with sombreros and big handlebar mustaches.
00:10:49.720 Give a listen.
00:10:50.160 We'll be right back.
00:11:20.160 I got to say, you know that Donald Trump loves this kind of stuff.
00:11:45.100 I cannot wait to see what he says to you when you guys hang out next.
00:11:51.060 Oh, look, it's hysterical.
00:11:52.500 And you got to envision, if you haven't watched it online, while the song is playing, we've just got image after image of Democrats.
00:12:00.920 So we have Chris Van Hollen sitting down with the MS-13 member having a daiquiri with a giant sombrero and a handlebar mustache.
00:12:08.220 We just have fun with it.
00:12:11.920 By the way, I will say the Macarena.
00:12:14.120 So as you know, my communications director is named Macarena Martinez.
00:12:17.880 She's fantastic.
00:12:18.800 Really, really good.
00:12:20.220 But I was talking to, like, several of the young staffers in my office.
00:12:23.700 And I said, you know, there's only one member of our staff who has been the title of a number one song worldwide.
00:12:31.220 And, like, the 22-year-olds in my office had no idea what I was talking about.
00:12:36.800 Isn't that amazing?
00:12:37.480 You're aging us right now.
00:12:39.240 Yeah.
00:12:39.500 Like, it's for all of us.
00:12:41.500 So this pod has a lot of younger listeners.
00:12:43.680 There was a song, what, 20 years ago?
00:12:46.300 25?
00:12:46.600 Yeah.
00:12:46.900 Long time ago.
00:12:47.500 Yeah.
00:12:47.720 Longer than that, maybe.
00:12:48.880 Yeah.
00:12:49.000 That was the Macarena.
00:12:50.440 And there was a dance.
00:12:52.000 I will say, if you've never seen it, there's an image you don't want to see of Hillary Clinton dancing the Macarena.
00:12:59.020 It is amazing.
00:13:00.600 And it just, it will make you feel like the gif of Homer Simpson wanting to pour bleach in your eyes.
00:13:07.580 You do not want to see Hillary. 0.77
00:13:09.120 Trust me.
00:13:09.680 Do not Google Hillary Clinton dancing the Macarena.
00:13:13.160 You will never be the same.
00:13:14.120 Was that at the Democratic Convention?
00:13:16.920 I'm having a flashback right now.
00:13:18.640 Yeah.
00:13:19.480 Yeah.
00:13:19.880 Yeah.
00:13:20.060 I don't remember which year it was, but it was at one of them.
00:13:22.620 And it just completely backfired.
00:13:25.180 It was horrible.
00:13:26.340 Now, I will tell you, when I sent out this video of all the Democrats, Tim Kaine, Democrat from Virginia, who, Tim and I are friends, but he, like, popped me back on Twitter.
00:13:35.840 He's like, hey, did you buy those sombreros in Cancun?
00:13:39.340 Which I immediately responded, yes, I did.
00:13:42.540 And, by the way, Tim, instead of making dumb jokes about Cancun, how about we reopen the government? 0.97
00:13:49.000 Since half of your friggin' state, Virginia, works for the government, and you've taken away all their paychecks. 0.97
00:13:54.560 And he didn't like that. 0.95
00:13:55.680 So I will say, on the Senate floor, I was giving Tim a little bit of grief for that.
00:14:00.520 And he was kind of, he was like, do you like my Cancun joke?
00:14:03.120 And I'm like, yeah, but I'd like it better if you open the government.
00:14:07.660 If you open the government.
00:14:08.400 So, all right, look into your crystal ball.
00:14:11.020 Based on what it was, what D.C. was like and the mood when you left, going back in there on Monday, do you think that we will get the government reopened this week?
00:14:21.100 Or do you think that Schumer is going to still dig in?
00:14:24.420 No, I think they caved this week.
00:14:26.140 And I want to play for you.
00:14:27.840 So last week, Schumer was on the Senate floor.
00:14:30.640 And I want to paint the picture.
00:14:32.040 He's giving a speech for one of the multiple times the Democrats are voting to shut the government down.
00:14:36.140 And they know the polling is going terribly.
00:14:40.620 And so Schumer got up and his line, he said, well, okay, there are polls that Republicans are talking about, but those are biased Republican polls.
00:14:52.220 And he says, well, it's the New York Times, but it's biased.
00:14:55.120 And I got to say, I was standing 10 feet away from Schumer.
00:14:57.920 Schumer and I and every other Republican just cracked up laughing because he's, like, claiming the New York Times is a biased right-wing publication.
00:15:06.620 And it was spontaneous.
00:15:08.100 We did not organize this.
00:15:09.160 We just, like, doubled over laughing.
00:15:11.260 And Schumer, he stammered.
00:15:14.280 He stopped.
00:15:15.160 He's like, well, I mean, it was – look, who knew Schumer could be so funny?
00:15:21.580 I want you to play – the video is better, but I want you to play the audio of Schumer saying this and the spontaneous reaction, appeals of laughter on the Senate floor.
00:15:30.980 Now, I know the leader is going to show a poll that says that Democrats will be blamed for the shutdown.
00:15:37.760 There are many more polls that show Republicans are blamed.
00:15:41.000 The question in that poll is biased.
00:15:44.060 Biased.
00:15:44.520 In the New York Times, but it's biased.
00:15:46.320 If you turn the – that's true.
00:15:53.760 I don't always believe the New York Times.
00:15:55.820 You can be sure of that.
00:15:57.460 Neither do you.
00:15:58.820 Okay.
00:16:00.160 It's amazing, by the way.
00:16:01.540 Like, you hear him there.
00:16:02.420 It's kind of like he realized he stepped in it.
00:16:05.220 And even his grin to you guys.
00:16:07.500 He was thrown off.
00:16:07.680 He really was – like, I'm standing 10 feet from him.
00:16:11.880 And all of us, we – like, okay, the microphone on the Senate floor when you're speaking, you have a little microphone on your lapel.
00:16:19.440 Nobody else is mic'd.
00:16:21.540 That gives you a sense of how loud the laughter was, that that's all coming through Schumer's mic, and we were just doubled over laughing.
00:16:30.560 And you watch his expression.
00:16:32.260 He's like, oh, oh, oh, wait.
00:16:34.020 Okay, okay. 1.00
00:16:34.620 That's really dumb. 1.00
00:16:35.480 Oh, crap. 1.00
00:16:36.760 Yeah, okay. 1.00
00:16:37.660 The New York Times is a right-wing bias publication.
00:16:40.060 Yeah, maybe that's not – like, this is why – my prediction is the shutdown will end this week.
00:16:46.100 Because I think the Democrats, as much as Schumer feels he's in trouble with the left wing, I think a lot of the Democrats say we're on fire.
00:16:56.360 We don't have a win.
00:16:58.460 This is not going well.
00:17:00.360 There's a combination of two things.
00:17:02.160 One, an awful lot of Americans, the government is shut down and they don't care.
00:17:05.620 It doesn't impact their lives.
00:17:07.320 That is the nightmare for any big government Democrat is if the government shuts down and nobody notices.
00:17:13.240 And, look, during a government shutdown, 83 percent of the government keeps functioning.
00:17:17.080 So the military functions, law enforcement functions, the FBI functions, the Border Patrol functions, ICE functions, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, all of that function.
00:17:27.480 And so it is a nightmare.
00:17:33.140 If your entire political career is built on telling the American people the most important thing in your life is the federal government, if the government shuts down and everyone yawns and goes about their life, that's a disaster.
00:17:47.000 But a second disaster is to the extent people are focused.
00:17:51.120 So, listen, if you're going to D.C. this week and you wanted to go to the Smithsonian and go see the Air and Space Museum, you can't because the Democrats shut down the Smithsonian.
00:18:00.880 They shut down Yellowstone National Park and all the national parks.
00:18:05.000 And so people are going to get pissed off gradually over time, but I think the vast majority of people are blaming the Democrats, saying why are they shutting this down?
00:18:14.100 And so I think the pressure on Schumer – look, Schumer is a little bit like a cork in a rushing river where he's just responding to the pressures pushing him left and right.
00:18:28.360 So he's getting the pressures from the crazy left-wingers that are saying shut it down forever because we hate Trump.
00:18:34.460 But I think a number of his members, particularly members who are on the ballot in 2026, are going to say, all right, enough of this nonsense.
00:18:42.080 Let's reopen the government.
00:18:43.240 My prediction is this week the Democrats give in.
00:18:46.460 Canadian women are looking for more. 1.00
00:18:48.420 More to themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world are open.
00:18:52.540 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:18:56.300 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:18:57.240 And I'm Katherine Clark.
00:18:58.800 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:19:02.500 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:19:08.220 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:19:11.460 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:19:17.260 I want to move to another topic that we mentioned earlier, and that is there is a lot of quiet outrage for people that have been paying attention
00:19:26.220 to the Brett Kavanaugh assassination to the Brett Kavanaugh assassination scandal.
00:19:30.360 You have a, quote, transgender man who planned to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh, only receiving eight years for that crime. 1.00
00:19:43.580 There are a lot of people that are upset and angry about it.
00:19:46.140 I'm one of them.
00:19:47.120 I think you are as well.
00:19:49.380 And somehow, I guess, being transgender now allows for you to have less accountability for your actions. 1.00
00:19:55.960 Explain this one.
00:19:56.960 Yeah, I have to admit, this story makes me incredibly angry.
00:20:02.700 When I saw it, I read the news story this week.
00:20:05.240 I was literally yelling out loud as I was reading my phone.
00:20:09.720 Heidi and I and our daughter Caroline, we were in New York this weekend.
00:20:13.260 I was with a half dozen NYPD cops.
00:20:16.840 And I got to admit, I vented to the cops who were all pissed about this.
00:20:20.560 So, the man who planned to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2022, he flew from California to Maryland.
00:20:30.740 He arrived there.
00:20:32.560 He had with him, he had a knife, he had a gun, he had duct tape, he had zip ties, and he had planned to murder not just Brett Kavanaugh,
00:20:43.740 but a total of three Supreme Court justices.
00:20:45.660 He was deranged, and he was caught on the street right outside Justice Kavanaugh's home.
00:20:51.040 And, by the way, he was also threatening Justice Kavanaugh's wife and their two daughters.
00:20:57.020 Well, this guy was prosecuted, quite rightly, and the Department of Justice asked for 30 years,
00:21:02.600 which is a pretty reasonable sentence for someone trying to kill a Supreme Court justice.
00:21:07.860 Well, this left-wing judge, her name is Deborah Boardman. 0.96
00:21:10.960 She's a Joe Biden appointee to the Maryland Federal Court.
00:21:14.400 She made a 22-year downward departure.
00:21:19.740 So, instead of 30 years, she sentenced him to eight years.
00:21:24.680 And her reasoning was essentially, instead of 30 years, you get eight.
00:21:30.200 Why?
00:21:30.620 Because you're transgender. 0.99
00:21:32.540 Here's what Judge Boardman said.
00:21:34.380 Quote,
00:21:34.620 Under the law, I must consider the sentencing guidelines.
00:21:37.620 The guidelines in this case are 360 months to life.
00:21:42.120 It's important to understand the Supreme Court's stance on guidelines.
00:21:44.860 They used to be mandatory, but in a case called Booker, the Supreme Court held they were advisory.
00:21:50.440 The judge acknowledged that, quote,
00:21:52.180 This case did involve domestic terrorism, but she undid most of the terrorism enhancement created by the Sentencing Commission and said, quote,
00:22:02.460 I have not seen evidence that the Sentencing Commission relied on evidence that it would reduce recidivism.
00:22:08.600 The sentencing took more than seven hours, and she discussed at length her justification for the light sentence.
00:22:17.040 Here's what she said.
00:22:19.020 Ms. Roski, of course, she calls the man a woman because she's a leftist. 0.99
00:22:23.320 Ms. Roski came out to herself, to herself, like this is a private, like just in the quiet of night.
00:22:28.700 I've decided I'm a woman.
00:22:31.400 Ms. Roski came out to herself as transgender in 2020, but kept it a secret.
00:22:36.860 Ms. Roski's sister came out as gay two years prior, but Ms. Roski saw their parents struggle to recognize her sexuality with their religious beliefs.
00:22:46.760 By the way, it is not subtle or implied the judge thinks religious beliefs on this are horrible and terrible,
00:22:53.580 and you are bad if you have religious beliefs concerning sexuality.
00:22:57.520 The judge continues, quote,
00:23:00.940 I am heartened that this terrible infraction has helped the Roski family accept their daughter, by which she means Nicholas Roski, for who she is.
00:23:14.040 So, you have someone attempting to murder a sitting Supreme Court justice,
00:23:18.640 and the federal district judge who's sentencing the attempted murderer says I'm heartened.
00:23:24.120 The great thing about this is the parents are now accepting of their psychopathic murderous son that thinks he's a daughter.
00:23:33.040 The mother of the murderer told the judge on Friday that, quote,
00:23:37.580 I have attended PFLAG meetings and learned about the LGBTQ plus community.
00:23:46.540 I am committed to going on this journey with Sophie, by which she means her son Nicholas.
00:23:54.000 She was frustrated with what was going on in the world, and we weren't a safe place to process it.
00:24:02.800 And, by the way, the Daily Wire in their story, the next sentence says,
00:24:07.260 As his mother wept, Nicholas Roski also choked up, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
00:24:16.340 Now, here's what the judge continued saying, quote,
00:24:20.160 Before the executive order, that wasn't the case.
00:24:46.020 In other words, this judge really wanted to send this dude to a woman's prison, 1.00
00:24:50.160 where after attempting to murder a sitting Supreme Court justice, he could assault women who were incarcerated. 0.87
00:24:58.800 This is, I want to be clear, this is lunacy. 0.98
00:25:03.720 This is nuts.
00:25:05.280 I have to admit, I literally yelled and cursed out loud.
00:25:10.480 Listen, number one, Brett Kavanaugh is a friend.
00:25:12.420 I've literally known Brett Kavanaugh for 30 years.
00:25:14.520 His wife, Ashley.
00:25:16.400 Heidi and I were with Ashley on the 2000 George W. Bush campaign.
00:25:21.060 She's a West Texas girl. 1.00
00:25:22.540 She's a wonderful woman.
00:25:24.080 They have two daughters who went through an utter nightmare going through his confirmation hearing.
00:25:30.600 Night after night after night, the Kavanaugh House, along with the House of every Supreme Court justice,
00:25:36.240 had angry, violent left-wing protesters out front screaming, violating federal law.
00:25:41.820 It is a crime to protest at the home of a justice seeking to change the decision of an opinion.
00:25:49.480 And yet, the Biden Justice Department refused to enforce that law.
00:25:53.400 They would not prosecute those felonies.
00:25:55.260 And the heated rhetoric, look, this is very much like what we're seeing with ICE,
00:26:00.780 where Democrat rhetoric gets the lunatics in their party energized to go commit crimes of violence.
00:26:08.500 I want to be clear.
00:26:10.800 Violence is never, ever, ever justified.
00:26:13.380 So I'm not advocating violence against any Democrat.
00:26:15.700 I'm not advocating violence against any left-wing judges or justices.
00:26:21.600 Violence is wrong.
00:26:22.640 And by the way, when it comes to politically motivated violence, it is almost exclusively a left-wing phenomenon.
00:26:30.880 Look, when George Floyd died, we saw riots in American cities on fire being burned to the ground.
00:26:37.080 We saw police cars being firebombed.
00:26:38.880 We saw people being murdered.
00:26:40.360 When Charlie Kirk was murdered, we saw prayer vigils across the country as people went out and lit candles and prayed and sang together.
00:26:49.860 And we did see violence, but not from the people supporting Charlie Kirk, instead from the same left-wing violent activists who were attacking the people in prayer vigils.
00:27:01.700 There is a difference.
00:27:03.320 And I have to say, this judge, this judge has demonstrated she is utterly unfit to be a federal judge. 0.94
00:27:12.800 I think the House of Representatives should seriously contemplate impeaching this judge.
00:27:19.940 And I don't go to impeachment lightly.
00:27:20.900 And by the way, how hard is that and how often does that happen for what you're describing right now?
00:27:24.900 Because everybody listening is going to be like, hold on a second.
00:27:26.920 If this is the case, then why don't we do it?
00:27:29.320 Does it happen?
00:27:30.340 How many votes do you need to do it?
00:27:31.660 How does that work?
00:27:33.320 Yeah, it's happened a number of times.
00:27:35.080 There have been multiple federal judges who have been impeached and removed from office.
00:27:38.900 Typically, they are impeached after committing a crime, something like committing – accepting bribes.
00:27:45.380 So Alcee Hastings, for example, was a federal judge who was convicted of accepting bribes as a judge.
00:27:52.160 He was removed from office.
00:27:53.580 And then he turned around and ran for Congress as a Democrat and got elected as a congressman.
00:27:59.220 So he was a Democrat congressman who had been impeached and removed from office for being a federal judge taking bribes.
00:28:05.500 So that – I'm going to let you draw all the inferences you want.
00:28:09.480 Those facts are objective.
00:28:10.660 It is not easy to impeach a judge, although under the Constitution, to impeach a judge, it takes a majority vote in the House of Representatives.
00:28:19.840 And I actually think in this instance, a judge who thinks someone trying to murder a Supreme Court justice because he disagrees with a decision the Supreme Court justice is rendering,
00:28:31.900 rendering, that is a fundamental assault on our judicial system, on the rule of law, on the basic protection of rights all of us have.
00:28:40.480 And if you are such a zealot, such a partisan ideologue, that you will not follow the sentencing guidelines, you will not acknowledge this is terrorism,
00:28:51.080 and instead you say, you know what, this person's transgender, and my ideology is such that I love transgenders,
00:28:58.320 and so instead of 30 years, I'm going to give this person eight years.
00:29:02.240 And by the way, I really think this man should be in a woman's prison, but that mean, mean president won't let me do that. 0.96
00:29:09.980 I believe – and I don't know this woman at all.
00:29:12.160 I don't know this judge.
00:29:13.360 But just how she conducted herself in this proceeding, to me, demonstrates she is completely unfit to be a federal judge. 0.68
00:29:21.620 I would urge the House of Representatives, take up impeachment, and I would love to have a trial in the Senate.
00:29:28.900 Do we want judges who refuse to enforce the criminal law for psychopathic murderers who are trying to murder Supreme Court justices?
00:29:36.740 I think the obvious answer is no.
00:29:38.660 Let me say, it's also on brand with the American people.
00:29:40.040 I can tell you this, no Democrat wants to defend the other side.
00:29:43.140 Well, and look, it's on brand with the American people right now.
00:29:45.580 They want law and order.
00:29:46.500 They want law and order, and they want justice when the bad guys are caught, which is – there seems to be a pendulum switch that's happening right now.
00:29:54.780 Thank goodness in this country on that.
00:29:57.300 I think that's right. 0.92
00:29:58.800 The American people are sick and tired of Democrats letting criminals go, letting violent murderers go, letting rapists go, letting pedophiles go. 0.95
00:30:07.580 They're sick and tired of the Democrats siding with illegal immigrants over the American people.
00:30:12.060 It's why we saw the election result in 2024.
00:30:15.020 But that being said, listen, the corporate media is all in 24 hours a day trying to paint the Trump administration's efforts to keep our communities safe, to lock up bad guys, to apprehend and deport murderers and gangbangers and criminals.
00:30:30.760 What they're trying to say is they're deporting innocent moms who are harmless.
00:30:34.860 And the propaganda effort from the media and the Democrats, it is real and it is dangerous.
00:30:41.980 And if you're not paying close attention, it's easy to believe that propaganda.
00:30:46.860 Yeah, great point.
