00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.640 Guaranteed human.
00:00:04.400 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you, Senator.
00:00:08.440 It is a lot that we have to talk about.
00:00:10.600 A lot of it is sad news, including the attacks that we've witnessed in this country and also abroad.
00:00:16.940 And it's going to be a show where we have to deal with some warnings that came a long time ago that people didn't pay attention to.
00:00:23.800 Well, evil is in the world, and unfortunately this weekend it became abundantly clear for anyone who was watching.
00:00:32.360 We saw the weekend start off with the horrific shooting at Brown University.
00:00:38.100 Then shortly thereafter, we saw the mass shooting in Australia targeting the Jewish community there.
00:00:45.100 And as you and I are recording this late Sunday night, the news just broke that Rob Reiner and his wife were both murdered,
00:00:51.420 apparently by a family member.
00:00:53.720 And so it really has been a difficult weekend, a weekend of horrific murder.
00:01:02.320 We're going to break down and talk about all three of those, all of that in today's podcast.
00:01:07.560 Yeah, it's a very interesting story there.
00:01:09.540 And the question a lot of Americans are asking is, well, if there are consequences, when would we see those?
00:01:14.660 We'll deal with that in a moment.
00:01:15.860 I want to talk to you real quick about something you can give yourself this holiday season,
00:01:19.740 and that is the celebration of knowing that you're working with a cell phone provider,
00:01:25.960 a bill you're going to have every month.
00:01:28.000 And the difference is when you switch to Patriot Mobile, I'm with Patriot Mobile.
00:01:32.660 I've traveled literally all over the world to Israel, and my phone coverage was perfect.

00:02:26.620 conservative groups and organizations that stand up for our First and our Second Amendment,
00:02:30.540 that stand up for the sanctity of life, and our veterans and first responders.

00:03:07.000 Take advantage of the best smartphone deal of the year.
00:03:09.340 Senator Ryan, let's start with Rob Reiner for a moment.
00:03:12.320 It's still shocking news that we're hearing about the death, the murder of Rob and his wife.
00:03:18.340 He is someone that's involved in some of your favorite movies as well.
00:03:23.460 Yeah, look, the news just broke today, and here's what People Magazine is reporting.
00:03:29.180 Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home
00:03:33.120 on Sunday, December 14th.
00:03:36.040 Authorities responded to a medical aid call around 3.30 p.m., discovered their bodies.
00:03:41.260 Multiple sources tell People that the killer was the couple's son, Nick Reiner.
00:03:47.460 Nick previously spoke publicly about his long battle with drug addiction and periods of homelessness.
00:03:53.980 And People Magazine goes on to say,
00:03:56.700 Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle Singer Reiner, were killed by their son, Nick,
00:04:00.100 according to multiple sources who have spoken with family members.
00:04:03.440 Police have not yet confirmed the account.
00:04:05.440 On Sunday, the Los Angeles Fire Department was called to a home to provide medical aid.
00:04:13.120 Upon arrival, they found a man, 78, and a woman, 68, dead.
00:04:18.520 Police say Nick, 32, is alive and being questioned.
00:04:23.100 No arrests have been made.
00:04:26.200 And, you know, I have to say, this is sad on so many levels.
00:04:32.360 One, I'll just say, look, mental illness is real, and I don't know the medical condition
00:04:45.320 of Rob Reiner's son, but I operate from an assumption that any time a son kills his parents
00:04:51.760 that you're dealing with significant mental illness.
00:04:54.080 And it just is heartbreaking, the tragedy of a mother and father apparently allegedly killed
00:05:05.460 by their son, the tragedy for the son's life, that for the rest of his life, he will live with that.
00:05:12.820 I don't know if he had apparently struggled with addiction for a long time.
00:05:17.540 I don't know if he was under the influence of drugs or dealing with significant mental illness
00:05:24.820 or both, but it's just sad.
00:05:26.600 And I'll say, look, I didn't know Rob Reiner, but he was an amazingly talented man.
00:05:32.140 He was a funny man.
00:05:34.480 He was, you know, he kind of first broke onto the national scene as an actor, as meathead
00:05:41.000 in All in the Family, and, you know, playing Archie Bunker's son-in-law.
00:05:47.020 And he was skilled as an actor, but his real gift was in writing and directing movies.
00:05:53.220 And he was the son of the legendary comedian Carl Reiner, who was incredibly talented as well.
00:06:00.140 I cannot imagine what their dinner table was like with Carl Reiner and Rob Reiner, you know,
00:06:06.500 cracking jokes, but you look at Reiner's first movie was 1984, This Is Spinal Tap, a classic.
00:06:13.860 He then made The Sure Thing.
00:06:15.140 He then made Stand By Me.
00:06:17.020 His fourth movie was my all-time favorite movie ever, The Princess Bride, in 1987.
00:06:22.200 He followed that up with When Harry Met Sally, another fantastic classic, one of the best
00:06:27.680 and funniest comedies ever made.
00:06:29.900 From there, he made Misery, another terrific dark comedy.
00:06:33.980 From there, he made A Few Good Men.
00:06:35.740 I mean, one of the most spectacular military drama, legal shows.
00:06:42.280 Jack Nicholson's testimony on the stand is spectacular.
00:06:47.340 Iconic.
00:06:48.220 In 1995, he made The American President, another great movie.
00:06:53.000 I've only seen it about a hundred times.
00:06:55.720 Ghost of Mississippi, rumor has it, The Bucket List, LBJ, God and Country.
00:07:02.900 He was incredibly talented, and I just, you know, I want to say I'm mourning the murder
00:07:13.340 of Rob Reiner and his wife.
00:07:15.280 That is not—murder is a horrible thing, and when mental illness is likely contributing
00:07:23.020 to it in a family, it's just tragic, and it makes your heart grieve.
00:07:26.480 Yeah, it really does.
00:07:27.940 Amen to that.
00:07:28.560 I couldn't agree with you more.
00:07:29.740 We move from that to even more tragedy at Brown University, and then we go to Australia
00:07:34.940 from there.
00:07:35.380 But let's start with Brown University.
00:07:36.980 We don't know as much.
00:07:38.840 They're holding a lot of information back, apparently, in this investigation of the attack
00:07:44.420 there.
00:07:45.300 We do—or starting to get some of the names of the victims and those that have been shot
00:07:48.960 and those that have been killed.
00:07:50.360 It is so tragic.
00:07:51.520 They were dealing with exams and exam prep when this attack took place in this classroom.
00:07:58.300 It really is shocking and saddening to see this again.
00:08:02.060 No, it really is sad.
00:08:03.860 Students were apparently in a classroom doing exam preparation, final exam preparation for
00:08:11.020 an economics exam, for the broad introductory economics class that apparently roughly half
00:08:17.360 the students at Brown take.
00:08:18.780 It was the most wide, signed-up class.
00:08:24.200 We know that two people were murdered, nine people were injured as a shooter entered the
00:08:29.840 class and began opening fire.
00:08:32.400 For several hours, the shooter was on the run.
00:08:34.740 They didn't know who he was.
00:08:36.040 As of Sunday night, police have said that they have an individual in custody, and they said
00:08:43.740 that he was found at a hotel in Coventry, about 17 miles south of Providence.
00:08:49.920 At this point, the police have not said whether this individual is affiliated with Brown University,
00:08:55.800 so we don't know.
00:08:57.180 We don't really know who he is.
00:08:58.940 We don't know what his motive was.
00:09:00.980 I assume that will come out in the hours and days to come.
00:09:04.120 We'll understand why this lunatic wanted to commit a mass murder, but we don't know his
00:09:10.180 motivation, and I want to be slow to speculate, because it could be any of a lot of things.
00:09:17.800 But the mayor has said seven individuals remain in stable condition.
00:09:25.020 One is critical but stable condition, and another has been discharged.
00:09:28.400 So one of the people injured is out of the hospital, and I will say it's just horrific.
00:09:37.680 No one should go to school and fear for this sort of horror.
00:09:43.960 We see far too many of these.
00:09:45.760 We see school shootings.
00:09:48.760 You know, I've seen them in Texas.
00:09:50.540 I've seen them at Santa Fe.
00:09:52.220 I've seen them at Uvalde.
00:09:55.360 Santa Fe is a high school that is maybe 45 minutes away from my house, and I was home
00:10:01.140 the morning of the shooting, and so I was on the campus within about an hour of when the
00:10:06.300 shooting occurred and saw the tragedy, saw the horrific suffering.
00:10:13.960 I was also on the ground in Sutherland Springs, the worst church shooting in our nation's history.
00:10:19.280 We have far too many of these.
00:10:21.420 Here, as I said, we don't know the motivation, and so more may become that we don't know if
00:10:26.100 it is motivated by terrorism.
00:10:29.120 We don't know if it is motivated by something specific to Brown.
00:10:31.920 We don't know if it had a racial component or a component targeting any particular community.
00:10:40.700 All of those we have seen in prior mass shootings.
00:10:44.700 But I'm hopeful, it has been reported multiple times that the shooter yelled something in the
00:10:52.200 classroom before he opened fire, but we don't have confirmation what he yelled, and so my
00:10:57.580 assumption is that we will get information.
00:11:01.260 We will get, hopefully, this individual's social media record.
00:11:05.260 I don't know if he's written anything about what his motivation is, what his connection
00:11:08.680 was, if any, to Brown University and to that classroom and to the people he fired upon.
00:11:15.940 But it is just, there is far too much evil.
00:11:19.260 There is far too much hate.
00:11:21.280 And dealing with criminality and violent criminals, we need to do much, much more to deal with
00:11:29.100 criminality.
00:11:29.720 And I'll tell you, my prayers are with Rob Reiner's family and everyone grieving his
00:11:36.380 loss.
00:11:37.860 My prayers are with everyone in the Brown University community who is grieving those who
00:11:43.880 lost loved ones, those who are shocked and afraid.
00:11:47.340 It was reported that at least two of the students at Brown had previously been in school shootings
00:11:52.420 in high school, which is just, you know, you and I are both parents, and no child should
00:12:00.100 have to endure that, much less endure it twice.
00:12:03.720 And, you know, I think we need to be much, much more vigorous in going after violent criminals,
00:12:09.900 preventing these sorts of mass crimes before they happen.
00:12:13.340 It's one of the reasons why doing things like securing the border and arresting gang members
00:12:19.600 and potential terrorists is so important, because many of these instances, mass murders
00:12:27.180 are carried out by terrorists.
00:12:28.700 And we've seen that happen in the United States.
00:12:32.380 We saw that happen as recently as the two National Guardsmen that were shot in D.C.
00:12:37.960 by the Afghan Islamic radical who'd been brought into this country under the Biden administration.
00:12:43.740 And we saw it horrifically in Australia.
00:12:48.240 And I will say what happened in Australia just takes the breath away.
00:12:54.560 With Australia, we know significantly more.
00:12:59.680 It is clear that in Australia this was targeting the Jewish community.
00:13:05.880 At this point, 16 are dead, 40 are injured in the mass shooting on Bondi Beach.
00:13:11.700 It appears, it's being reported, that the two gunmen were a father and son.
00:13:18.680 Can you imagine the level of hate that a father and son to say with your son,
00:13:27.020 here's how I want to go out in the world?
00:13:29.340 Because look, when you carry out a mass shooting like that, you're expecting to die.
00:13:33.800 You're expecting this to be your last act on planet Earth.
00:13:37.060 And the level of bilious hate, and this was targeting a Hanukkah celebration on Bondi Beach
00:13:45.540 in Sydney, Australia.
00:13:47.180 It was clearly targeting the Jewish community, and I think unquestionably motivated by anti-Semitism,
00:13:53.400 by hate of Jews, hate of Israel.
00:13:55.820 We will find out more, but I don't think any reasonable observer can doubt that at this point.
00:14:00.700 And I got to say, the fact that it's a father and son, it really is an element of this story
00:14:11.400 that I think just haunts you.
00:14:12.740 And it reminds me of after October 7th, the Israeli government intercepted a lot of cell phone
00:14:21.080 conversations, intercepted back and forth of terrorists.
00:14:23.860 And I listened to about an hour worth of intercepted conversations on October 7th
00:14:30.020 of people committing horrific murders, people committing horrific rapes,
00:14:33.480 motivated by the same thing, by hatred of Jews.
00:14:37.060 And there's one exchange in particular on those intercepted calls that haunts me to this day.
00:14:44.400 I know exactly which one you're about to talk about,
00:14:46.920 and it's going to be the terrorist calling back to his parents.
00:14:50.260 Yeah, it's a young Hamas terrorist.
00:14:52.220 And they celebrated him.
00:14:53.040 Yes, it's a young Hamas terrorist who calls home to his dad in Gaza.
00:14:58.320 And he is celebrating, and he's so excited, and he says,
00:15:03.180 Dad, I killed 10 Jews today.
00:15:06.360 I killed 10 Jews.
00:15:08.740 And the father says, praise Allah, and he calls his mother over.
00:15:14.680 And his mom, all excited, comes rushing over to hear the great news
00:15:19.020 that her son had murdered 10 Jews that day.
00:15:22.180 And there was something surreal about listening to someone who had just committed mass murder,
00:15:32.120 murdered 10 innocent individuals.
00:15:34.160 We don't know if those were elderly people, women, children.
00:15:37.620 We don't know who the 10 were.
00:15:38.760 But he was so proud that he wanted to brag to his parents.
00:15:44.640 And the father's first reaction is to call his wife, look what a great thing our son did.
00:15:51.280 And that, I have to say, evil and hate is so saturated when you want to do that.
00:15:58.340 And I look here at a father and son who the father decides, here's how I want my son to die.
00:16:04.820 Here's how I want me to die, and here's how I want my son to die.
00:16:08.500 We're going to kill as many Jews as possible because that is the sum total of all we care about in the world.
00:16:16.420 It truly is evil.
00:16:17.760 You know, one of the things that I think was also shocking, if you've seen the video of that shooting,
00:16:23.580 is when the sun goes down, the dad doesn't check on the sun, the dad keeps shooting.
00:16:29.680 They're side by side.
00:16:31.120 I mean, there's just, it's just, like as you mentioned, this mindset of just pure evil.
00:16:37.040 I call it sadistic evil.
00:16:38.780 Hate.
00:16:39.180 Where your own child has been shot.
00:16:41.640 You don't stop.
00:16:42.900 You just keep going to kill as many Jews as possible.
00:16:47.160 That is what we witnessed, which is truly unbelievable to think.
00:16:50.860 I mean, my son, anything happens.
00:16:53.080 Your daughter's, anything happens.
00:16:54.200 You stop what you're doing.
00:16:55.100 You check.
00:16:56.040 There was no, it was like, hey, we're going to go out guns a-blazing.
00:16:59.020 This is how we're going to end it.
00:17:00.080 We're doing it in the name of radical Islam.
00:17:02.340 Well, and you and I also saw the video of the Australian man who rushes in and tackles one of the gunmen
00:17:09.700 and wrestles the gun out of his hand.
00:17:12.540 What a hero, by the way.
00:17:14.040 What a hero.
00:17:14.780 Extraordinary hero.
00:17:15.720 I mean, that, someone sitting there just firing a rifle, murdering people to charge him, to tackle him.
00:17:23.620 You're obviously taking your own life in your hands, to put it mildly.
00:17:27.380 They had to take the gun away.
00:17:28.800 I mean, it was incredible.
00:17:31.040 That's not an easy thing to do, and he forcibly took it away.
00:17:34.280 And it's, you know, there are mixed reports online about who that gentleman is,
00:17:39.820 so I want to just refrain because I'm not sure from their conflicting press reports,
00:17:45.520 but I will say whoever he is, that was extraordinary heroism,
00:17:51.180 and I have no doubt that his courage that day saved lives.
00:17:56.300 Canadian women are looking for more, more out of themselves, their businesses,
00:18:00.560 their elected leaders, and the world are open.
00:18:02.460 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk Podcast.
00:18:06.480 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:18:07.660 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:18:08.900 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:18:12.640 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers,
00:18:16.200 all at different stages of their journey.
00:18:18.380 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:18:21.620 Listen to the Honest Talk Podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:18:25.680 You know, I want to bring in some of the national security and the issues at home when I see this.
00:18:34.700 There have been lots of warnings in Australia by some of the media,
00:18:39.500 some in their political parties over there for years,
00:18:42.520 saying we're allowing too many people to come in that are unvetted.
00:18:46.580 We have that same warning here.
00:18:48.220 We talked about the number of people we're worried about that come across our southern border
00:18:51.420 that could be on the terrorist watch list here on the last show.
00:18:54.040 It's not hundreds.
00:18:55.060 It's now into the thousands is the warning coming from the Trump administration.
00:18:58.640 We see this attack that happened, for example, at Brown University.
00:19:01.960 And I think the part that scares me the most is even when these things happen,
00:19:07.520 Democrats never want to miss an opportunity to push their agenda and also to attack Donald Trump.
00:19:14.500 I'll give you an example of that.
00:19:15.680 One of your colleagues, Senator Chris Murphy, thought it was appropriate Sunday morning
00:19:20.820 to go on State of the Union on CNN and attack President Trump for the Brown University shooting.
00:19:26.400 And I want to play for you what he said, and then I want to get your reaction to it.
00:19:30.300 Not shocking, because over the last year, President Trump has been engaged in a dizzying campaign
00:19:35.780 to increase violence in this country.
00:19:38.000 He is restoring gun rights to felons and people who have lost their ability to buy guns.
00:19:43.040 He eliminated the White House Office of Gun Violence Protection.
00:19:47.060 And he has stopped funding mental health grants and community anti-gun violence grants
00:19:52.620 that Republicans and Democrats supported in that 2022 bill.
00:19:58.140 So he has been engaged in a pretty deliberate campaign to try to make violence more likely in this country.
00:20:04.520 I'm just going to stop there.
00:20:06.620 He's been a part of a deliberate campaign for more violence.
00:20:12.000 Yes. And he said it not once, but twice in two different ways.
00:20:15.620 The first time he said Donald Trump has been engaged in a dizzying campaign to increase violence in this country.
00:20:21.500 Then he goes a step further and says he's advocating and creating the violence.
00:20:26.000 We don't know much about Brown.
00:20:27.540 We started that with a show.
00:20:29.180 So why even say this when we don't even know anything at all about the shooting there?
00:20:34.340 Number one.
00:20:35.080 Number two, they're not even going to take a moment and talk about what the actual cause could be.
00:20:39.240 This is somehow orange man bad.
00:20:41.060 Let's blame him for shooting at a university.
00:20:43.860 And let's be clear.
00:20:45.520 We're just over a year out from President Trump being shot and being the target of two different assassination attempts.
00:20:55.420 We are just months out from Charlie Kirk being murdered.
00:20:59.000 We are weeks out from National Guardsmen being shot by Afghan radicals that the Democrats let in and didn't vet.
00:21:10.040 We are weeks out from shots fired at ICE agents and ICE agents being targeted by radical zealots.
00:21:18.300 And listen, we and I have talked about on this show how there is a real divide between left and right.
00:21:25.100 The left justifies violence.
00:21:27.180 Let me be absolutely clear.
00:21:28.180 Violence is never, ever, ever OK.
00:21:30.860 I do not seek violence against any of my political opponents.
00:21:33.720 It is absolutely unacceptable, period, the end.
00:21:36.820 You and I have talked about the polling numbers that show an increasing number in the neighborhood of half of self-described Democrats say that violence is justified against Donald Trump or violence is justified against Elon Musk.
00:21:52.860 This is unacceptable.
00:21:53.860 This is unacceptable.
00:21:54.280 And I will say, you know, it's interesting that Chris, listen, anytime there is a crime, Chris's answer is more gun control.
00:22:02.760 It is to disarm law-abiding citizens because he believes the way you stop crime is to prevent you from defending yourself and your family.
00:22:10.660 That is Chris's go-to.
00:22:12.380 It is the go-to of almost every Democrat.
00:22:15.740 But let's call out what happened in Australia clearly and unequivocally.
00:22:22.380 You know, it was interesting today.
00:22:23.800 You saw a number of people on the left putting out tweets that were basically thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers with the people of Australia.
00:22:32.740 It was interesting.
00:22:33.680 A number of them refused even to acknowledge that it was the Jewish community that was targeted.
00:22:37.720 Yeah, very generic, and people are like, this was a Jewish event publicized online to start the Jewish holiday and to celebrate being Jewish.
00:22:48.420 Yes, yes.
00:22:49.060 No, this was a Jewish gathering celebrating Hanukkah.
00:22:52.640 Among those targeted was at least one rabbi.
00:22:56.700 But look, for those leftists who are putting out the phrase thoughts and prayers, I have a simple question.
00:23:05.420 What do you think globalize the Intifada means?
00:23:11.260 Yeah.
00:23:12.440 Comrade Mandami has repeatedly chanted globalize the Intifada.
00:23:17.200 The Intifada is this.
00:23:19.340 That is the Intifada being globalized.
00:23:22.120 It is radical Islamists murdering Jews.
00:23:26.220 If you chant globalize the Intifada, you are saying you want more of this.
00:23:32.300 That is why it is so wrong.
00:23:34.680 The left's embrace of Hamas and radical Islam, refusal to call it out for what it is, is deliberately inciting more.
00:23:44.940 And, you know, there's something Freudian about Democrats.
00:23:47.640 You notice Chris Murphy said, well, Trump is encouraging more violence.
00:23:51.640 Let's be clear.
00:23:52.280 Trump is doing the exact opposite of that.
00:23:54.660 He is doing everything he can to prevent violence.
00:23:57.140 He is actively arresting murderers and gangbangers and terrorists.
00:24:01.520 He is deporting them and removing from this country.
00:24:04.920 Going into the most dangerous cities and making them safe again.
00:24:07.820 That is the guy they're now accusing of being out there selling violence, advocating for violence, spreading violence, creating violence.
00:24:14.240 Violence is how Senator Chris Murphy put it.
00:24:16.200 And I'm like, hold on a second.
00:24:18.160 That's a lie in D.C.
00:24:20.060 That's a lie in Chicago.
00:24:22.320 That is a lie in Memphis, Tennessee.
00:24:24.080 That's a lie in New Orleans right now.
00:24:25.940 That's a lie for a lot of what we've seen in Houston where you and I are right now.
00:24:29.260 Where we've seen a lot of really bad individuals that are illegal immigrants in this country that have been taken out, thank goodness, by ICE and other law enforcement.
00:24:37.580 Like, the idea that he's out there sowing violence is insanity.
00:24:41.660 Yeah, and listen.
00:24:43.120 Let's start with a premise that everyone or everyone within some reasonable set of bounds wants to prevent murder.
00:24:51.700 Wants to see innocent people not be killed.
00:24:54.420 In the Senate, I am confident all 100 senators would want to prevent murder, that we don't have anyone who is actively cheering on and eager to see more murder.
00:25:08.000 However, policies have consequences when you allow into this country terrorists like the Afghan radical who murdered one National Guardsman and severely wounded another.
00:25:22.300 When you let into this country through open borders, Hamas and Hezbollah and IRGC terrorists, you know to an absolute certainty that murders will result.
00:25:35.220 When you release convicted murderers, as the Democrats did for four years, you know to an absolute certainty more murders will result.
00:25:43.740 When you release MS-13 gangbangers into communities, you know that more murders will result.
00:25:52.060 And at some point, you have a consequence for those decisions.
00:25:55.640 And their answer is always, nope, nope, nope.
00:25:57.780 Release all the criminals.
00:25:59.520 But if we just take away the guns from Ben Ferguson, there will be no more mass shootings in Australia or at Brown University.
00:26:08.460 And it is a question of ideology.
00:26:11.700 Incredible gun control laws there.
00:26:14.320 And it didn't stop them.
00:26:15.740 So for everybody saying, well, if we just had great gun control laws, things like Brown wouldn't happen and we had extreme gun control.
00:26:21.600 Australia has it.
00:26:22.820 Look at what happened today in Australia.
00:26:24.740 And by the way, it took 20 minutes to apparently for this attack to to stop police early on didn't even return fire.
00:26:34.600 There's a lot of questions around that.
00:26:36.260 What we do know is even and you go back to anti-Semitism for a second, Senator Netanyahu actually accused the Australian prime minister of having fueled anti-Semitism in Australia before this attack happened.
00:26:50.260 I think that's a really important point that should be brought up, that there are people out there talking about the truth, being honest about where we are.
00:26:59.220 Australia has got a real problem.
00:27:00.960 There's several of their government officials now that have come out and said it in the last several hours that there has been an explosion of anti-Semitism in Australia.
00:27:09.620 And it is now at a fever pitch.
00:27:12.100 And this is what you get when you don't check it and the leaders of the country don't check it.
00:27:16.660 That's why Netanyahu, I think, called him out when he did.
00:27:19.280 Yeah, look, I want to be cautious about being overly critical of law enforcement at this point.
00:27:26.020 Any time there is a mass murder, there is inevitably a fog of war.
00:27:33.440 It takes a while to ascertain exactly what happened, who did what.
00:27:37.060 I am confident that we saw law enforcement officers exhibit considerable bravery while this was happening.
00:27:45.600 And so I want to be slow to criticize law enforcement, particularly when we don't know everything that occurred.
00:27:51.960 But what I think is indisputable is that when you have rhetoric calling for murder, you should not be surprised when murder results.
00:28:01.780 And I want to play this clip from – this is a day after October 7th when 1,200 Jews were murdered by Hamas in Israel.
00:28:11.820 This is the protest in Sydney, Australia.
00:28:15.100 Give a listen.
00:28:15.700 Senator, the part there that the audience, we played for them, is them saying, gas the Jews, gas the Jews.
00:28:45.000 Moments later, they also started chanting, F the Jews.
00:28:48.520 We're not going to play that here for obvious reasons, but they chanted that with as much vigor as they were chanting, gas the Jews.
00:28:56.500 This, as you mentioned, right after the attacks on – the worst attacks since the Holocaust on Jews in Israel.
00:29:03.040 Yeah, and they also chanted, which is what has been reported that the two mass murderers chanted on Bondi Beach.
00:29:11.900 Gas the Jews is not some reasonable political dispute about whether a two-state solution is the right resolution between Israel and the Palestinians.
00:29:22.660 It's not arguing for middle ground or compromise.
00:29:28.140 It is arguing for another Holocaust.
00:29:30.780 It is calling for Jews to be put in gas chambers and exterminated.
00:29:35.620 This is a crowd – the day after – this is October 8th – the day after 1,200 Jews are murdered by Hamas,
00:29:42.640 they're chanting, they're waving Palestinian flags, and they are saying they want more Jews murdered.
00:29:48.580 So let me say, every leftist, whether they are Zoran Mandami or whether they are in the squad in the House of Representatives
00:29:58.220 or whether they are on a college campus in one of the many anti-Semitic protests,
00:30:03.640 chanting, globalize the Intifada, this is what they're calling for.
00:30:07.920 Gas the Jews, kill the Jews, and tragically this father-son duo carried out on that political agenda.
00:30:16.020 And that agenda is evil.
00:30:18.620 And by the way, if you were calling for gassing or killing anyone else, that would be evil as well.
00:30:24.460 If you were saying, as you and I have talked about at great length in Nigeria, where they are killing Christians,
00:30:31.020 and we have spoken out very clearly that killing Christians is wrong.
00:30:34.140 By the way, they're also killing Muslims.
00:30:35.980 You shouldn't be killing Muslims.
00:30:37.980 Murder is wrong, period, the end.
00:30:40.740 Everyone should agree on that.
00:30:42.300 And there are unfortunately too many on the left who embrace an ideology where they don't admit to themselves they are calling for mass murder.
00:30:54.500 But there is no other interpretation of that chant, gas the Jews on the streets of Sydney the day after October 7th.
00:31:03.900 And tragically, we saw the consequences of that this weekend.
00:31:08.760 I want to bring it back home for a second.
00:31:10.280 I just want to get your thoughts.
00:31:11.500 Last week, we talked about how they believe there's 18,000 in this country that are on either terrorists or connected to terrorists, tied to terrorists on the watch list, are part of sleeper sales.
00:31:23.480 I see what happened in Australia.
00:31:25.100 I see what happened around the world with other attacks that we've seen recently.
00:31:29.380 I am very concerned that we let in so many bad guys, that we didn't remember what happened on 9-11.
00:31:36.500 We didn't vet people the way we were supposed to, all because of the political correctness of the radical left and the obsession with bringing in people and not seeing who they actually are, having real honest conversations.
00:31:45.820 How concerned are you about the state of security in this country right now from things like we just witnessed?
00:31:52.980 Yeah, look, I'm very concerned.
00:31:55.100 I know I've talked in the last couple of days to a lot of friends of mine, a lot of Jewish friends of mine who are expressing fear if they go to synagogue, if they go to a Jewish day school, if they go to any gathering where there are multiple Jewish people gathered.
00:32:09.760 They're afraid of violence.
00:32:11.220 They're afraid of mass violence.
00:32:12.480 I tell you, I'm also hearing my Christian friends, if they go to church, if they go to a Christmas celebration.
00:32:19.140 I mean, I have a lot of friends right now that they carry now to every church event because they are that concerned over it.
00:32:25.560 I mean, I carry, you know that, but I always carry, and it's weird, I actually pick a higher capacity magazine when I'm going to church because I am afraid of this type of scenario taking place.
00:32:37.180 I want to make sure I have enough ammo to protect my family and everybody else there that's there to worship.
00:32:41.340 That's the mindset we're in right now, and it's not a crazy one either, and that scares me.
00:32:46.300 Yeah, look, it is an incredibly dangerous time.
00:32:51.240 There are people who are radicals who are evil.
00:32:54.560 You know, when the Ayatollah says death to America, he means it.
00:32:59.800 If he could kill the two of us, he would.
00:33:02.380 Yep.
00:33:02.600 If he could kill everyone listening to this podcast, he would.
00:33:06.840 Hamas and Hezbollah, they celebrate.
00:33:11.200 They, you know, Iran refers to Israel as the little Satan, America as the great Satan.
00:33:17.100 And understand, these lunatics that are targeting Jews, they are targeting Americans.
00:33:22.080 And this, the only way to deal with it is to be clear-eyed, to confront the threat head-on, and to defeat it.
00:33:34.360 It's why it was so important.
00:33:36.120 The single most important foreign policy decision President Trump has made the second term was the decision to bomb Iran's nuclear weapons capability.
00:33:44.080 Because if the Ayatollah succeeded in building nuclear weapons, I don't want to find out the likelihood that he would use nuclear weapons.
00:33:54.560 That instead of talking about 16 dead, we could be talking about hundreds or thousands or millions dead.
00:34:01.180 And so the President carried out his responsibility as Commander-in-Chief to say, a theocratic lunatic who says he wants to murder us, we're not going to allow him to have weapons that would enable him to murder a vast number of Americans.
00:34:16.220 That is, that's the very essence of America first.
00:34:19.460 It's the essence of a Commander-in-Chief fulfilling his responsibility.
00:34:23.520 Yeah, it's a great point.
