00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.420 Guaranteed human.
00:00:04.700 Unhinged.
00:00:06.340 Extreme.
00:00:07.960 The worst kind of bigot.
00:00:10.840 Those are the words that the establishment media used to describe my co-host because they were shocked.
00:00:18.020 They were appalled to find out that there is at least one Republican in the country
00:00:23.000 who has not completely changed his views of the Constitution over the last seven years.
00:00:28.640 This is Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:00:36.880 This episode of Verdict with Ted Cruz is sponsored by American Hartford Gold.
00:00:41.020 If you're like me, then you are growing more and more concerned about the state of our country
00:00:45.540 and about your own future.
00:00:47.920 Inflation is at the highest rate that we've seen in 40 years, and interest rates are skyrocketing.
00:00:53.000 In fact, market experts like Jamie Dimon, who is the CEO of J.P. Morgan,
00:00:57.920 are not only predicting that we will face an economic recession,
00:01:01.540 they're using phrases like economic hurricane and unprecedented.
00:01:06.400 If you want to protect your future, then do what I did.
00:01:09.900 Call the only precious metal dealers that I trust, American Hartford Gold.
00:01:14.340 They can show you how to hedge your hard-earned savings against inflation
00:01:17.860 by diversifying a portion of your portfolio into physical gold and silver.
00:01:22.340 All it takes to get started is a short phone call,
00:01:25.240 and they'll have physical gold and silver shipped directly to your door,
00:01:28.380 or perhaps into your IRA or 401k.
00:01:31.900 And they make it easy.
00:01:32.880 They're the highest rated firm in the business with an A-plus rating from the Better Business Bureau
00:01:36.420 and thousands of satisfied clients.
00:01:38.720 And if you call them right now, they will give you up to $1,500 of free silver
00:01:42.980 and a free safe on your first qualifying order.
00:01:45.960 So don't wait.
00:01:47.040 Call them now.
00:01:48.100 Call 855-768-1883.
00:01:51.640 That's 855-768-1883.
00:01:55.500 Or if you prefer text messaging, you can text the word CACTUS to 65532.
00:02:01.460 Again, the phone number is 855-768-1883.
00:02:06.780 Or you can send the word CACTUS via text message to 65532.
00:02:11.360 You'll be glad you did.
00:02:12.320 Welcome back to Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:02:15.280 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:02:16.580 Senator, before we begin, I want to get to a ton of mailbag questions today
00:02:21.300 because we have a ton of new subscribers
00:02:24.420 because you and this show and even the series,
00:02:28.900 the subscriber-only series cloakroom of this show,
00:02:31.180 have been all over the news all week
00:02:32.920 because you had the gall, the temerity,
00:02:36.400 to express the view on marriage
00:02:39.780 that was held by literally every single person in the country,
00:02:43.200 including Barack Obama,
00:02:45.160 about 10 or 11 years ago.
00:02:47.020 And you expressed a view of the Constitution
00:02:50.280 that has been held by conservatives since time immemorial.
00:02:54.940 How dare you, sir?
00:02:57.540 We are living in a strange and bizarre land.
00:03:00.300 I will say we've crossed a threshold.
00:03:01.760 So multiple times on Verdict,
00:03:03.900 this podcast has driven the agenda and discussion.
00:03:07.320 And indeed, we've seen the Biden White House
00:03:10.180 from the press room podium
00:03:12.220 responding to this podcast in multiple times.
00:03:16.660 This week, however, we crossed a new threshold.
00:03:19.000 It wasn't just Verdict that was driving the news.
00:03:20.960 It was cloakroom, which is, as you noted,
00:03:23.520 the paid subscriber service on Verdict Plus.
00:03:26.740 That one 18-second snippet that got put out,
00:03:32.240 and it's actually, it's a fascinating illustration
00:03:34.460 of the lefty Twitter media world.
00:03:38.780 So one lefty hack on Twitter
00:03:41.000 put out this 18-second snippet of cloakroom.
00:03:45.220 Every other blue-check lefty immediately amplified it.
00:03:49.140 And within minutes,
00:03:51.120 just about every corporate media outlet
00:03:54.460 was running with it as their key story.
00:03:57.500 And it culminated, amusingly enough, this week
00:03:59.900 in Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader,
00:04:03.360 denouncing me on the Senate floor as unhinged
00:04:06.560 based on that 18-second snippet
00:04:09.760 from cloakroom,
00:04:12.680 the paid show on Verdict Plus.
00:04:15.460 That, that,
00:04:16.040 we just need to mark that,
00:04:18.780 that new territory,
00:04:20.400 because
00:04:21.240 left-wing Twitter-verse media industrial complex
00:04:28.200 is truly remarkable.
00:04:31.000 And, and apparently they're not as cheap
00:04:32.600 as I thought they were
00:04:33.400 because they're shelling out for the extra service
00:04:35.320 so they can watch the subscriber-only show.
00:04:38.600 So, and I do need to say
00:04:40.100 to every communist,
00:04:41.220 to every leftist,
00:04:42.060 to every Marxist,
00:04:43.040 to every person trying to destroy the country,
00:04:45.260 obviously you need to subscribe to Verdict Plus
00:04:47.500 because you can't know
00:04:49.620 what these nefarious conservative constitutionalists
00:04:54.860 are doing unless you subscribe.
00:04:57.600 And so I, I will take great pleasure
00:04:59.900 at, at, at the Marxist helping fund our podcast
00:05:03.860 and keep this operation going,
00:05:06.640 spreading truth
00:05:07.780 through their absolute sea of lies.
00:05:10.700 That's right.
00:05:11.520 You'll really show us libs
00:05:13.400 by subscribing and watching all of the content
00:05:15.740 that we put out here.
00:05:17.080 Not, not only did your comment
00:05:19.080 drive the news cycle, Senator,
00:05:20.780 it also led to a vote
00:05:23.540 in the House of Representatives
00:05:24.580 to codify the,
00:05:27.040 the Obergefell decision,
00:05:28.500 actually go a little further.
00:05:29.980 Has a podcast ever driven
00:05:31.540 a vote the next week
00:05:33.760 in the U.S. House of Representatives?
00:05:35.360 I, I, I, I'm not aware
00:05:37.140 of that threshold ever being crossed.
00:05:39.440 So the, the House Dems bring this up
00:05:42.360 and it was obviously a ridiculous vote.
00:05:45.700 There is absolutely no risk
00:05:47.840 of the Supreme Court overruling Obergefell.
00:05:50.880 The court majority in Dobbs said as much.
00:05:53.580 Clarence Thomas in his concurrence
00:05:55.200 suggested perhaps we should revisit that
00:05:57.420 in some other cases.
00:05:58.640 He couldn't get a single other justice,
00:06:00.700 including any of the conservatives,
00:06:02.160 to sign on to that.
00:06:03.340 So there, there's really no,
00:06:05.040 as a political matter,
00:06:06.100 there's no risk of this whatsoever.
00:06:08.080 And then the Democrats bring this bill
00:06:11.080 out of their sheer shock and anger
00:06:14.220 that you haven't changed your view on marriage
00:06:16.480 from the view that's been held
00:06:17.620 for all of human history
00:06:18.940 and your view of the Constitution,
00:06:20.620 even more importantly,
00:06:21.820 the way the Constitution
00:06:22.760 should be interpreted and understood.
00:06:25.260 And, and the vote comes up in the House
00:06:26.960 and 47 House Republicans
00:06:30.260 vote to enshrine
00:06:33.340 a new definition of marriage.
00:06:35.680 Yeah.
00:06:36.520 So let's take those one at a time.
00:06:38.480 Let's, let's start with what actually
00:06:40.020 I said on cloakroom.
00:06:41.200 So the 18th snippet,
00:06:42.180 second snippet that they seized upon
00:06:44.220 is where I said that Obergefell
00:06:45.860 was clearly wrong.
00:06:47.280 It was wrongly decided.
00:06:48.480 Um, which is exactly what I said
00:06:51.640 the day it came down.
00:06:52.720 It's what I believed then
00:06:54.900 and every day since then.
00:06:56.400 And it's what virtually every conservative
00:06:59.120 in the planet believed then
00:07:00.640 and still believes now,
00:07:01.940 even if there's some Republicans
00:07:03.100 scared to say it now.
00:07:05.040 Uh, in Obergefell,
00:07:06.440 the Supreme Court struck down
00:07:07.720 the marriage laws of states
00:07:09.900 across the country,
00:07:10.940 invented a brand new right.
00:07:12.580 The proper way I believe
00:07:14.620 under the Constitution
00:07:15.620 to decide the question of marriage
00:07:17.900 and whether marriage should
00:07:18.860 extend to same-sex couples
00:07:20.640 is through the democratic process.
00:07:22.560 And actually the democratic process
00:07:23.860 was moving in that direction.
00:07:25.460 The advocates of gay marriage
00:07:27.900 were winning in multiple states.
00:07:29.540 They were persuading the voters
00:07:30.880 and the democratic process
00:07:32.400 was operating.
00:07:34.180 Those who disagreed
00:07:35.060 were making their case
00:07:36.280 and there was a full-fledged
00:07:37.940 democratic debate
00:07:38.820 until the Supreme Court said,
00:07:40.640 no, sorry, silly people.
00:07:42.020 There's only one right answer.
00:07:43.220 You must adopt what we decree.
00:07:45.560 Um, what they left out
00:07:47.900 is you and I had,
00:07:49.680 actually it was Liz Wheeler and I,
00:07:50.980 had an extended discussion
00:07:52.460 where she asked me
00:07:53.360 the entire cloakroom
00:07:54.300 focused on Clarence Thomas'
00:07:55.960 concurrence in the Dobbs decision
00:07:58.000 where he called into question
00:08:00.420 the substantive due process jurisprudence
00:08:02.440 and he mentioned a number
00:08:03.380 of other cases
00:08:04.220 dealing with contraception,
00:08:05.500 dealing with sodomy,
00:08:06.540 and dealing with gay marriage.
00:08:07.980 And he suggested
00:08:08.840 that those opinions
00:08:09.700 should be revisited.
00:08:11.420 And what I articulated
00:08:12.760 at great length
00:08:13.840 in the full Cloakroom podcast
00:08:18.160 is that the Supreme Court
00:08:20.500 said repeatedly,
00:08:21.860 explicitly, unambiguously,
00:08:24.340 no, we are not revisiting
00:08:26.620 these precedents.
00:08:27.660 Nothing in this decision
00:08:28.620 calls them into question.
00:08:29.800 We're not going to do it.
00:08:31.040 At one point,
00:08:31.620 the majority opinion says,
00:08:32.800 we don't know how we can say
00:08:34.440 this any clearer.
00:08:35.820 No, no, no.
00:08:37.820 As you noted,
00:08:38.760 Justice Thomas,
00:08:39.540 yes, he raised the issue.
00:08:41.680 He was not joined
00:08:42.480 by a single justice.
00:08:43.600 So eight justices declined
00:08:45.160 to join that opinion.
00:08:46.760 I said that at great length.
00:08:50.320 All of the lefty Twitter activists,
00:08:53.840 all of the corrupt corporate media
00:08:55.720 ignored that entire discussion.
00:08:57.380 We actually put out
00:08:58.540 the entire six minute segment.
00:09:00.280 We put it out on social media
00:09:01.740 to say, look,
00:09:02.660 if you want to know
00:09:03.580 what the discussion was,
00:09:05.040 here's a radical and crazy idea.
00:09:06.820 Maybe you could actually listen
00:09:08.180 to what it was I said.
00:09:10.320 Almost no one in the media
00:09:13.280 could be bothered to do that.
00:09:14.420 And there's a reason
00:09:15.220 they seized upon this.
00:09:16.460 This is there's
00:09:17.780 a broader political point.
00:09:19.040 And we've talked about this
00:09:20.080 some on the podcast,
00:09:20.800 but it's worth underscoring.
00:09:23.680 Democrats know
00:09:25.380 that abortion
00:09:26.960 is a political loser for them.
00:09:29.160 So there are a handful
00:09:30.180 of left wing activists in D.C.
00:09:31.880 who are thinking, OK,
00:09:33.440 maybe the decision on Roe
00:09:34.800 is going to be the Hail Mary
00:09:35.780 that saves the midterms
00:09:37.320 from the disaster
00:09:38.260 it's going to be
00:09:38.800 for Democrats otherwise.
00:09:40.320 But real and serious Democrats
00:09:43.160 don't actually think that.
00:09:45.420 Elected Democrats
00:09:46.240 don't think that.
00:09:47.120 And how do we know that?
00:09:49.020 Because their immediate reaction
00:09:51.060 is not to focus on
00:09:52.500 the fact that
00:09:54.240 their policy preference
00:09:55.560 of unlimited abortion
00:09:56.480 on demand
00:09:56.940 in all circumstances
00:09:57.760 with no limits
00:09:58.580 is now no longer mandated
00:10:00.860 by by the federal courts
00:10:02.300 because that's a really
00:10:03.420 unpopular position in America.
00:10:05.520 But it's rather to suggest,
00:10:07.440 you know what this means?
00:10:08.840 They're going to take away
00:10:09.720 birth control.
00:10:10.400 They're going to take away
00:10:11.460 the right to consensual sodomy.
00:10:13.800 They're going to take away
00:10:14.880 gay marriage laws.
00:10:16.760 Now, those are all issues
00:10:17.820 that pull much better
00:10:19.220 than the Democrats'
00:10:21.160 radical view on abortion.
00:10:23.300 And when they immediately
00:10:24.620 shift to those issues,
00:10:26.360 they're giving you a tell.
00:10:28.400 They're telling you,
00:10:29.280 just like in poker,
00:10:30.140 when someone is bluffing
00:10:31.200 and they,
00:10:32.200 whether they twist the ring
00:10:33.400 or they sweat
00:10:34.080 or they fidget,
00:10:34.920 they, you know,
00:10:35.280 people have tells
00:10:36.300 that let you know
00:10:37.940 what they really think
00:10:38.860 and believe,
00:10:39.320 that's what the Democrats
00:10:40.060 are doing.
00:10:40.520 And the reason
00:10:42.380 they hyperventilated
00:10:43.600 in every media outlet,
00:10:45.240 I got to say CNN,
00:10:47.140 I sort of feel like
00:10:48.840 you and I deserve a credit
00:10:50.020 on CNN shows
00:10:50.980 because they filled
00:10:51.860 their shows this week
00:10:53.080 just with us.
00:10:54.440 That was all of their content.
00:10:55.960 Apparently,
00:10:56.200 there was nothing else
00:10:56.860 happening in the world
00:10:57.780 because it let them
00:10:59.740 tell the story
00:11:00.860 that Obergefell
00:11:04.180 is going to be reversed
00:11:05.380 even though the Supreme Court
00:11:06.440 said emphatically
00:11:07.220 it's not going to be reversed.
00:11:09.440 Right.
00:11:09.680 And then as you noted,
00:11:10.680 it predicated
00:11:11.460 the vote in the House
00:11:13.640 of Representatives
00:11:14.300 to say,
00:11:15.140 if Obergefell is reversed,
00:11:17.360 we're voting to enshrine
00:11:18.960 gay marriage in federal law
00:11:20.240 and to repeal
00:11:21.820 the Defense of Marriage Act
00:11:23.060 which had passed
00:11:23.860 overwhelmingly in Congress
00:11:25.460 and which that crazed
00:11:27.220 right-wing radical
00:11:28.340 Bill Clinton
00:11:28.960 signed into law.
00:11:29.780 So you get this vote
00:11:33.020 in the House.
00:11:34.380 I'm no expert here,
00:11:36.200 Senator.
00:11:36.640 You know,
00:11:36.840 I don't work at the Capitol
00:11:37.800 but I think that means
00:11:39.800 it's going to your place.
00:11:41.760 I think that means
00:11:42.340 it's going to the Senate
00:11:43.360 for a vote.
00:11:45.120 If you had asked me
00:11:46.100 three days ago,
00:11:46.980 I would have said
00:11:47.520 this doesn't stand a chance
00:11:49.240 of going anywhere.
00:11:50.320 The Senate Republicans
00:11:51.420 are going to stand firm.
00:11:52.480 This is an obvious issue
00:11:55.440 and yet after that vote
00:11:56.720 in the House,
00:11:57.180 I have to wonder,
00:11:58.480 is this thing actually
00:11:59.300 going to make it
00:11:59.740 out of the Senate?
00:12:01.240 Well,
00:12:01.800 it's not clear
00:12:03.320 if it's going to get
00:12:05.120 floor time
00:12:05.900 and we've got
00:12:06.820 just a couple of weeks
00:12:07.680 left before the August recess
00:12:09.120 when Democrats want
00:12:10.440 to get home and campaign.
00:12:11.540 They've got a bunch
00:12:12.080 of Democrats on the ballot
00:12:13.120 and there's a lot
00:12:15.600 of other bad things
00:12:16.580 Democrats are trying to do.
00:12:17.840 So they've got
00:12:18.200 a lot of legislation
00:12:18.980 they're trying to ram through
00:12:20.400 including their last gasp
00:12:23.860 at Build Back Broke
00:12:25.280 and so there's a limited
00:12:26.260 number of days
00:12:27.300 of floor time.
00:12:29.100 That being said,
00:12:30.460 Schumer said this week
00:12:31.540 he intends to take this up
00:12:32.780 for a vote
00:12:33.320 which will burn
00:12:34.600 several days
00:12:35.200 of floor time.
00:12:37.500 That was the speech
00:12:38.580 where he also described me
00:12:39.720 as unhinged
00:12:40.420 for cloakroom.
00:12:42.380 And
00:12:42.680 if it comes up
00:12:44.960 to move
00:12:46.400 to proceed
00:12:46.980 to the bill
00:12:47.460 will take 60 votes.
00:12:48.640 That's the standard rule
00:12:49.540 in the Senate.
00:12:50.920 It presumably
00:12:51.800 will get
00:12:52.280 all 50 Democrats.
00:12:53.200 So the question is
00:12:55.240 does it get
00:12:55.960 10 Republicans?
00:12:57.180 It got,
00:12:57.660 what was it,
00:12:58.000 45 Republicans
00:12:58.900 in the House?
00:12:59.940 47, I think.
00:13:01.540 47.
00:13:02.280 At least one of my colleagues
00:13:04.020 has told reporters
00:13:04.980 publicly intends to vote yes.
00:13:06.640 That's Tom Tellis
00:13:07.340 from North Carolina
00:13:08.160 who's told reporters
00:13:09.060 he's going to be a yes.
00:13:11.060 I could tell you
00:13:12.360 we had a discussion today
00:13:13.880 in the Senate
00:13:14.400 Republican Conference
00:13:15.420 at lunch
00:13:16.040 where there were
00:13:17.980 multiple Republicans
00:13:19.080 who
00:13:21.080 if they didn't say yes
00:13:23.580 they sure were
00:13:24.420 showing a lot of leg
00:13:25.640 to use
00:13:26.580 a euphemism.
00:13:28.920 I don't know.
00:13:30.400 This ought to be
00:13:31.380 this ought to be
00:13:33.200 a really easy vote.
00:13:35.040 Number one
00:13:36.100 because it's
00:13:37.160 pure
00:13:37.760 empty
00:13:38.360 political messaging.
00:13:39.620 Supreme Court said
00:13:40.220 they're not going to
00:13:40.720 overturn a Burgerfield.
00:13:41.580 So the entire reason
00:13:42.640 Democrats
00:13:43.440 are having this vote
00:13:44.860 is for political messaging
00:13:47.760 and really to distract
00:13:49.060 from every other aspect
00:13:51.100 of their agenda
00:13:51.840 that's a train wreck
00:13:52.740 which is
00:13:53.400 inflation and crime
00:13:54.820 and immigration
00:13:55.400 and everything else.
00:13:57.380 But secondly
00:13:58.360 look my views
00:13:59.160 on the substance
00:13:59.780 I believe marriage
00:14:00.620 is the union
00:14:01.100 of one man
00:14:01.740 and one woman
00:14:02.280 and that's what
00:14:03.560 I have always believed
00:14:05.120 it's what I believe now.
00:14:06.680 There are people
00:14:07.340 who disagree with me
00:14:08.480 and the people
00:14:10.340 who disagree with me
00:14:11.180 are entitled
00:14:11.660 to their views
00:14:12.380 and they're entitled
00:14:12.940 to participate
00:14:13.520 in the democratic process
00:14:14.620 and they're entitled
00:14:15.260 to prevail
00:14:16.340 in the democratic process
00:14:17.500 if their arguments
00:14:18.620 carry a majority vote.
00:14:20.100 It is interesting
00:14:20.980 I hope it's not the case
00:14:23.800 that a bunch of Republicans
00:14:25.780 who used to say that
00:14:27.580 quite emphatically
00:14:28.480 no longer believe that
00:14:31.680 but to be honest
00:14:32.920 I don't know Michael.
00:14:34.480 Of course
00:14:34.960 I mean this is
00:14:35.820 I'm with you
00:14:36.740 I hold the view of marriage
00:14:38.360 that has existed
00:14:39.200 forever
00:14:40.020 I sometimes say
00:14:40.900 I hold
00:14:41.260 I hold the view of marriage
00:14:42.580 that Obama
00:14:43.200 and Hillary
00:14:44.100 and Biden
00:14:45.040 and all the prominent Democrats
00:14:47.060 of today
00:14:47.940 held
00:14:48.480 until very very recently
00:14:50.000 and by the way
00:14:51.580 that the voters
00:14:52.200 of California
00:14:52.960 in 2008
00:14:53.900 bright blue
00:14:54.700 left-wing California
00:14:55.800 voted for in 2008
00:14:57.440 so
00:14:58.140 I don't know
00:14:59.620 that there has been
00:15:00.360 a public policy issue
00:15:01.720 on which views
00:15:02.860 have changed
00:15:03.500 more dramatically
00:15:04.420 than the issue
00:15:06.200 of gay marriage
00:15:06.940 and
00:15:07.300 it's
00:15:09.720 on the question
00:15:10.700 of life
00:15:11.460 views of the American voters
00:15:14.800 have been moving
00:15:15.480 in the direction
00:15:16.060 of life
00:15:16.580 but on the question
00:15:17.760 of marriage
00:15:18.260 they clearly are moving
00:15:19.300 in the other direction
00:15:20.100 and that's
00:15:20.640 that's indisputable
00:15:21.900 and it's really
00:15:23.380 quite
00:15:23.860 quite
00:15:24.760 a remarkable
00:15:26.660 journey
00:15:27.180 from where
00:15:28.000 even a decade
00:15:29.380 the debate was
00:15:30.200 of course
00:15:30.960 but I
00:15:31.440 I just think
00:15:32.240 even for people
00:15:33.180 who disagree
00:15:34.240 even for Republicans
00:15:35.680 who for whatever reason
00:15:37.020 have changed their views
00:15:37.820 over the last
00:15:38.520 five or seven years
00:15:39.800 this is such
00:15:41.940 a nakedly
00:15:43.060 obvious
00:15:44.180 political trap
00:15:45.880 being pointlessly
00:15:47.360 as
00:15:47.980 in terms of the
00:15:48.660 substance of the policy
00:15:49.560 being pointlessly
00:15:50.840 laid out
00:15:51.800 by the Democrats
00:15:52.640 the only reason
00:15:53.680 is to trap Republicans
00:15:54.760 why
00:15:55.720 on earth
00:15:56.560 would any of these
00:15:57.440 these Republican senators
00:15:58.740 take it
00:15:59.580 those 47 in the house
00:16:00.700 took it hook, line, and sinker
00:16:01.860 I hope
00:16:02.500 Senator
00:16:02.840 I hope your colleagues
00:16:03.880 are wiser
00:16:04.920 than that
00:16:05.620 you know
00:16:05.840 you know who I know
00:16:06.520 is wiser
00:16:07.120 the subscribers
00:16:09.040 to this podcast
00:16:09.920 so I do want to get
00:16:10.760 to some of their questions
00:16:11.780 enough of CNN
00:16:13.800 enough of Nancy Pelosi
00:16:14.880 first question up
00:16:16.100 from Jeff
00:16:17.040 this actually does have to do
00:16:18.220 with another piece of legislation
00:16:20.100 that's making its way
00:16:21.160 around the Capitol
00:16:21.740 Jeff says
00:16:22.960 I've been reading about
00:16:23.920 a proposed reform
00:16:25.140 to the Electoral Count Act
00:16:27.540 all I really know about it
00:16:29.880 is that it's being pushed
00:16:31.020 by Democrats
00:16:31.680 and RINOs
00:16:32.660 so I instinctively
00:16:33.960 don't like it
00:16:34.880 but I want to keep
00:16:36.220 an open mind
00:16:37.020 what is the act
00:16:38.780 and should we support it
00:16:40.120 so Jeff
00:16:42.040 a great question
00:16:43.000 and that's frankly
00:16:44.020 a good instinct
00:16:44.740 is if the people pushing it
00:16:46.120 are not reliable conservatives
00:16:48.060 that ought to give you
00:16:48.980 a really big hint
00:16:50.160 the direction it's going
00:16:51.140 what is the act
00:16:53.380 to be honest
00:16:53.840 I'm not sure
00:16:54.600 look
00:16:54.980 Democrats
00:16:56.880 and
00:16:58.040 a lot of wobbly Republicans
00:16:59.880 who are
00:17:01.300 really unhappy
00:17:02.280 about January 6th
00:17:03.660 and the fact
00:17:04.160 that I stood up
00:17:04.980 and objected
00:17:05.720 I objected
00:17:06.840 under the Electoral Count Act
00:17:08.180 an act that has been
00:17:09.040 on the laws
00:17:09.700 for 150 years
00:17:11.760 and I objected
00:17:14.300 on the grounds
00:17:15.840 that the electoral votes
00:17:17.300 were not
00:17:18.220 not made consistent
00:17:20.600 with law
00:17:21.040 that's what the statute
00:17:21.880 sets out
00:17:22.440 that you can
00:17:22.880 you can make an objection
00:17:23.780 on
00:17:24.140 and you'll recall
00:17:25.760 my
00:17:26.180 I based my objection
00:17:27.860 on calling
00:17:28.620 for the appointment
00:17:29.460 of an election commission
00:17:30.680 to consider
00:17:33.100 the evidence
00:17:33.800 of voter fraud
00:17:34.720 on the merits
00:17:36.040 on the substance
00:17:36.860 to an emergency
00:17:37.580 10-day audit
00:17:38.420 and determine
00:17:39.440 the extent
00:17:39.980 to which fraud
00:17:40.720 occurred
00:17:41.080 and the extent
00:17:41.600 to which it impacted
00:17:42.400 the outcome
00:17:42.920 of the election
00:17:43.520 that was modeled
00:17:44.360 after what Congress
00:17:45.940 did in 1876
00:17:47.180 the election
00:17:47.880 between Rutherford B. Hayes
00:17:49.100 and Samuel Tilden
00:17:50.000 in that election
00:17:51.280 as in 2020
00:17:52.180 there were serious
00:17:52.940 allegations of voter fraud
00:17:54.320 in 1876
00:17:55.840 Congress didn't
00:17:56.700 throw up its hands
00:17:57.380 and say
00:17:57.660 we're powerless
00:17:58.280 we can't do anything
00:17:59.000 about it
00:17:59.580 no
00:18:00.240 they appointed
00:18:00.980 an election commission
00:18:01.940 it consisted of
00:18:02.720 five senators
00:18:04.120 five house members
00:18:05.180 five Supreme Court justices
00:18:06.580 and they did exactly
00:18:07.440 what I
00:18:07.960 what I recommended
00:18:08.860 all the Democrats
00:18:10.760 and some of the Republicans
00:18:11.780 don't like that idea
00:18:12.860 and so this is a proposal
00:18:14.180 to change that
00:18:15.700 I don't know the details
00:18:16.840 of how they're going to change it
00:18:17.780 because they literally
00:18:18.380 have just announced it today
00:18:19.880 and so I haven't seen
00:18:20.900 what they've announced
00:18:21.640 I will say
00:18:22.960 as I was walking in
00:18:24.740 to film
00:18:25.320 this podcast
00:18:26.960 some left wing
00:18:29.000 not on Twitter
00:18:29.600 and I really do spend
00:18:30.460 too much time
00:18:31.120 reading what left wing
00:18:31.860 not say on Twitter
00:18:32.660 we all do
00:18:33.300 but oh actually
00:18:34.480 it was a lefty reporter
00:18:36.720 for the Washington Post
00:18:37.760 he tweeted out
00:18:38.740 so the only question
00:18:40.320 in this bill
00:18:41.160 is do you want
00:18:42.940 the decision
00:18:43.620 about presidential electors
00:18:45.700 made by the federal courts
00:18:47.140 or made by
00:18:48.840 Speaker of the House
00:18:49.780 Jim Jordan
00:18:50.480 and Senate Majority Leader
00:18:51.660 Ted Cruz
00:18:52.240 and I promptly
00:18:54.880 retweeted him
00:18:55.700 and I said
00:18:56.100 sounds good to me
00:18:56.940 so I'm sure
00:18:59.540 that's their nightmare scenario
00:19:01.080 I was okay with it
00:19:02.660 that sounds
00:19:03.600 just fine to me
00:19:05.480 next question
00:19:06.740 from Wanda
00:19:07.420 why are
00:19:08.700 January 6th
00:19:10.260 speaking of January 6th
00:19:11.480 why are January 6th
00:19:12.980 defendants
00:19:13.580 being held
00:19:14.060 in terrible conditions
00:19:15.140 on ridiculous charges
00:19:16.680 when Stephen Colbert's
00:19:18.300 staffers
00:19:18.980 get off the hook
00:19:20.140 for doing basically
00:19:21.300 the same thing
00:19:22.300 this referring to
00:19:23.340 Stephen Colbert's
00:19:24.280 staffers
00:19:24.760 who broke into
00:19:26.680 parts of the Capitol
00:19:27.400 that they weren't
00:19:27.940 supposed to be in
00:19:28.680 in order to embarrass
00:19:29.460 Republican politicians
00:19:30.480 because the Biden
00:19:32.140 Department of Justice
00:19:33.140 is fundamentally corrupt
00:19:34.480 and political
00:19:35.160 it is politicized
00:19:36.420 it is weaponized
00:19:37.480 as you know
00:19:38.460 I've got a book
00:19:39.020 coming out in September
00:19:39.980 the title of which is
00:19:41.280 Justice Corrupted
00:19:42.780 and how the left
00:19:43.480 has weaponized
00:19:44.460 our legal system
00:19:45.340 it goes into this
00:19:46.520 in great detail
00:19:47.300 sadly
00:19:48.040 Merrick Garland
00:19:49.280 Merrick Garland
00:19:49.840 was someone who spent
00:19:50.820 over two decades
00:19:51.560 on the Federal Court
00:19:52.460 of Appeals
00:19:53.100 he built a reputation
00:19:55.400 as a fairly
00:19:56.480 apolitical
00:19:57.640 reasonable judge
00:20:00.000 I don't know
00:20:01.600 that I've ever seen
00:20:02.560 anyone trash
00:20:03.620 their reputation
00:20:04.540 faster
00:20:05.440 than Merrick Garland
00:20:07.100 has done in the year
00:20:07.960 and a half
00:20:08.320 he's had as Attorney General
00:20:09.500 it's reminiscent
00:20:10.380 of what the NFL did
00:20:11.820 when they declared
00:20:12.960 war on their fans
00:20:14.060 and like just
00:20:14.780 lit themselves on fire
00:20:15.940 like the degree
00:20:17.260 to which Garland
00:20:18.440 is willing to allow
00:20:19.980 DOJ
00:20:20.720 to be
00:20:22.320 the
00:20:23.160 frontline soldiers
00:20:24.880 for the partisans
00:20:25.880 in the White House
00:20:26.740 is unprecedented
00:20:28.360 and it's dangerous
00:20:30.220 and I'll tell you
00:20:30.920 when it comes to people
00:20:32.040 who are wrongfully
00:20:33.120 imprisoned for January 6th
00:20:34.620 I have been pressing
00:20:35.400 on it repeatedly
00:20:36.340 I've been pressing
00:20:37.360 DOJ for answers
00:20:38.640 who is in prison
00:20:39.880 what are their charges
00:20:40.880 how many of them
00:20:41.460 are violent
00:20:41.960 if they committed
00:20:42.580 acts of violence
00:20:43.320 they should be prosecuted
00:20:44.420 and that's my view
00:20:45.440 regardless of whether
00:20:47.100 I agree or disagree
00:20:48.200 with their politics
00:20:49.020 if you commit
00:20:49.620 an act of violence
00:20:50.400 if you assault
00:20:51.040 a police officer
00:20:51.940 you ought to go to jail
00:20:53.160 but if they didn't
00:20:54.540 commit acts of violence
00:20:55.600 then peaceful protest
00:20:58.320 is fully protected
00:20:59.560 by the Constitution
00:21:00.460 and this Department
00:21:02.920 of Justice
00:21:03.500 is being used
00:21:04.920 as a political weapon
00:21:06.900 to persecute
00:21:07.920 those who exercise
00:21:08.920 their First Amendment
00:21:09.800 rights in peaceful protests
00:21:11.440 without committing
00:21:12.680 acts of violence
00:21:13.560 because the Biden
00:21:15.280 White House
00:21:15.740 disagrees with them
00:21:16.540 and it is shameful
00:21:17.520 it is disgraceful
00:21:19.040 and I'll tell you
00:21:19.640 every time I press
00:21:21.000 the Department of Justice
00:21:22.400 for answers
00:21:23.080 on the January 6th
00:21:24.240 protesters
00:21:24.800 comparing them
00:21:26.100 say to how DOJ
00:21:27.320 handled the violent
00:21:28.700 rioters in the Antifa
00:21:30.020 and Black Lives Matter
00:21:31.340 riots
00:21:31.860 this Department of Justice
00:21:33.720 essentially says
00:21:34.520 go jump in a lake
00:21:35.300 we won't tell you
00:21:36.180 it's none of your business
00:21:37.200 we're not going to answer it
00:21:38.300 and it is
00:21:39.040 and our corrupt
00:21:40.800 corporate media
00:21:41.640 has zero zero zero
00:21:43.480 interest in reporting
00:21:44.400 on any of this
00:21:45.140 of course
00:21:45.980 now assuming Republicans
00:21:47.660 do retake the House
00:21:48.880 maybe the Senate
00:21:49.880 in the midterms
00:21:51.200 will that give
00:21:52.880 conservatives
00:21:53.500 enough leverage
00:21:54.580 to make
00:21:55.920 some progress
00:21:56.780 on this issue
00:21:57.640 of the
00:21:58.120 two tracks of justice
00:21:59.560 whether we're talking
00:22:00.200 about the January 6th
00:22:01.060 people in Colbert
00:22:01.740 or even more broadly
00:22:03.020 than that
00:22:03.440 so I hope so
00:22:05.120 and I have some
00:22:06.200 some modest level
00:22:08.440 of optimism
00:22:09.060 I think the chances
00:22:10.340 of Republicans
00:22:11.000 taking the House
00:22:11.820 are overwhelming
00:22:12.620 they're well north
00:22:13.360 of 90%
00:22:14.000 and I think
00:22:15.500 a Republican House
00:22:16.700 the odds are very high
00:22:18.160 that we will have
00:22:18.740 oversight hearings
00:22:19.640 on many of these topics
00:22:20.820 I expect
00:22:21.600 House Republicans
00:22:23.640 particularly conservatives
00:22:24.680 to be aggressive
00:22:25.900 in oversight
00:22:26.840 of the Biden administration
00:22:28.260 the Senate
00:22:30.000 is less certain
00:22:30.960 I put the odds
00:22:31.780 about 65-35
00:22:32.940 that we take the Senate
00:22:34.060 if we take the Senate
00:22:35.040 I hope the Senate
00:22:36.380 engages in oversight
00:22:37.660 as well
00:22:38.240 you know
00:22:39.360 there's a difference
00:22:40.140 in style
00:22:40.920 and temperament
00:22:41.740 between House
00:22:42.700 oversight
00:22:43.460 and Senate
00:22:44.040 oversight
00:22:44.740 House oversight
00:22:46.320 is typically
00:22:46.960 more partisan
00:22:47.640 it's typically
00:22:48.220 more aggressive
00:22:48.960 it's
00:22:49.440 it's
00:22:49.940 they have
00:22:51.120 bigger flamethrowers
00:22:52.220 in the House
00:22:52.860 they
00:22:54.080 you know
00:22:55.300 they torch each other
00:22:56.420 many House members
00:22:57.400 D's and R's
00:22:58.120 hate each other
00:22:58.740 insult each other
00:22:59.740 the Senate
00:23:02.820 is a much more
00:23:03.680 genteel place
00:23:04.980 when I arrived
00:23:06.560 it scared the hell
00:23:07.520 out of them
00:23:08.160 you know
00:23:10.880 it reminded me
00:23:11.900 of one of my
00:23:12.420 favorite comedy riffs
00:23:13.880 Michael
00:23:14.640 have you ever seen
00:23:15.300 Robin Williams
00:23:15.980 do his riff on golf
00:23:17.180 I think I have
00:23:18.240 okay
00:23:18.680 it is one of the
00:23:20.200 funniest comedy riffs
00:23:21.220 ever done
00:23:21.900 I love it
00:23:22.840 language warning
00:23:24.060 it is profane
00:23:24.940 but it's Robin Williams
00:23:25.760 he's funny as all hell
00:23:27.300 and he's talking about golf
00:23:28.780 and how golf is made up
00:23:29.840 and I listen to it
00:23:30.860 regularly because it
00:23:31.480 just doubled me over
00:23:32.420 laughing
00:23:32.840 but at one point
00:23:34.600 he's talking about
00:23:36.600 Tiger Woods
00:23:37.260 and the reaction
00:23:37.940 of sort of
00:23:39.540 uptight
00:23:40.340 country clubbers
00:23:41.500 when Tiger Woods
00:23:42.220 started showing up
00:23:43.260 and dominating golf
00:23:44.620 and he does
00:23:46.400 a
00:23:46.780 you know
00:23:47.500 voice of
00:23:48.520 you know
00:23:48.800 oh my
00:23:49.880 now we're gonna
00:23:50.900 let him into our
00:23:51.660 clubs
00:23:52.220 and it was just
00:23:53.400 you know
00:23:53.660 you can picture
00:23:55.000 you know
00:23:56.260 almost invariably
00:23:57.640 rich liberals
00:23:58.500 sort of horrified
00:23:59.580 when Tiger Woods
00:24:00.300 showed up
00:24:00.920 I have to admit
00:24:03.820 that was a little bit
00:24:04.660 the reaction
00:24:05.220 when I showed up
00:24:05.940 at the Senate
00:24:06.380 some of the same
00:24:07.120 folks were like
00:24:08.020 you know
00:24:08.360 oh goodness
00:24:09.300 what is this
00:24:10.120 rabble rouser
00:24:11.580 doing here
00:24:12.260 this wacko bird
00:24:13.680 this
00:24:14.180 this maniac
00:24:15.160 so
00:24:16.540 so for those
00:24:17.400 of y'all
00:24:17.700 who may remember
00:24:18.280 wacko bird
00:24:19.020 was the term
00:24:19.640 John McCain
00:24:20.320 used for me
00:24:21.160 he
00:24:21.520 he
00:24:21.880 and I was
00:24:23.280 particularly
00:24:23.800 gratified
00:24:24.480 when some
00:24:25.000 grassroots
00:24:25.440 activists
00:24:25.920 made a
00:24:26.300 baseball cap
00:24:27.060 with a
00:24:28.600 picture of
00:24:29.260 Daffy Duck
00:24:29.800 on it
00:24:30.180 and the
00:24:30.400 word
00:24:30.560 wacko bird
00:24:31.200 I keep
00:24:31.900 it in my
00:24:32.220 office
00:24:32.540 and it
00:24:32.820 was sort
00:24:33.160 of
00:24:33.280 I
00:24:33.680 happily
00:24:34.560 embraced
00:24:35.220 the
00:24:35.520 title
00:24:36.380 right
00:24:37.220 the Senate
00:24:38.060 with a
00:24:38.760 Republican
00:24:39.160 majority
00:24:39.660 will engage
00:24:40.340 in oversight
00:24:40.900 it will
00:24:41.620 almost surely
00:24:42.500 be more
00:24:43.300 restrained
00:24:44.100 and genteel
00:24:44.900 than the
00:24:45.280 House
00:24:45.660 but the
00:24:47.360 Senate
00:24:47.600 also
00:24:48.020 carries
00:24:48.560 with it
00:24:49.040 typically
00:24:49.820 a greater
00:24:50.600 gravitas
00:24:51.180 a greater
00:24:51.940 a Senate
00:24:53.260 hearing
00:24:53.720 can have
00:24:54.840 a real
00:24:55.320 impact
00:24:55.840 and so
00:24:56.200 I hope
00:24:56.700 we see
00:24:57.360 vigorous
00:24:58.760 oversight
00:24:59.300 in both
00:25:00.060 the House
00:25:00.440 and Senate
00:25:00.900 and that
00:25:01.760 could help
00:25:02.500 I also
00:25:03.860 expect the
00:25:04.500 Biden
00:25:04.760 administration
00:25:05.260 to do
00:25:05.860 what the
00:25:06.180 Obama
00:25:06.520 administration
00:25:07.040 did
00:25:07.580 when we
00:25:07.860 had
00:25:08.040 Republican
00:25:08.480 majorities
00:25:09.120 which is
00:25:09.840 stiff arm
00:25:10.500 ignore
00:25:11.180 defy
00:25:12.540 it is
00:25:14.580 one of the
00:25:15.000 interesting
00:25:15.400 things
00:25:15.900 watching
00:25:16.400 the Dems
00:25:17.280 setting
00:25:18.540 all sorts
00:25:19.060 of precedents
00:25:19.680 including
00:25:20.000 trying to
00:25:20.440 prosecute
00:25:20.940 Steve
00:25:21.220 Bannon
00:25:21.560 for
00:25:22.500 defying
00:25:23.200 congressional
00:25:23.760 subpoenas
00:25:24.300 you know
00:25:25.340 in a few
00:25:25.700 months
00:25:26.040 the other
00:25:26.380 party is
00:25:26.760 going to
00:25:26.920 have the
00:25:27.160 power to
00:25:27.500 issue
00:25:27.700 subpoenas
00:25:28.120 and these
00:25:28.760 are some
00:25:29.020 interesting
00:25:29.340 precedents
00:25:29.900 they're
00:25:30.100 setting
00:25:30.400 and
00:25:30.660 I'm
00:25:32.900 almost
00:25:33.220 certain
00:25:34.080 the
00:25:35.080 Biden
00:25:35.400 DOJ
00:25:36.000 will
00:25:36.240 refuse
00:25:36.640 to
00:25:36.860 prosecute
00:25:37.380 anyone
00:25:37.640 for
00:25:37.860 contempt
00:25:38.200 of
00:25:38.380 Congress
00:25:38.700 for
00:25:38.900 defying
00:25:39.320 a
00:25:39.480 Republican
00:25:39.880 subpoena
00:25:40.420 because
00:25:41.120 this
00:25:41.480 Department
00:25:41.900 of
00:25:42.100 Justice
00:25:42.400 is
00:25:42.660 not
00:25:42.960 actually
00:25:43.560 focused
00:25:43.980 on
00:25:44.200 enforcing
00:25:44.660 the
00:25:44.840 law
00:25:45.200 they're
00:25:46.600 willing
00:25:46.940 to become
00:25:47.460 essentially
00:25:47.880 the
00:25:48.080 enforcement
00:25:48.500 arm
00:25:48.860 of the
00:25:49.100 DNC
00:25:49.740 but
00:25:51.040 real
00:25:52.020 oversight
00:25:52.480 I believe
00:25:52.940 is coming
00:25:53.320 but these
00:25:54.520 prosecutions
00:25:55.340 that the
00:25:56.000 orange
00:25:56.400 jumpsuit
00:25:57.020 that is
00:25:57.320 good for
00:25:57.680 the goose
00:25:58.200 is good
00:25:58.920 for the
00:25:59.360 gander
00:25:59.740 they make
00:26:00.220 those sorts
00:26:00.780 of things
00:26:01.160 in multiple
00:26:01.660 sizes
00:26:02.120 so I
00:26:02.740 agree
00:26:02.960 I think
00:26:03.180 the Democrats
00:26:03.600 should be
00:26:03.940 cautious
00:26:04.260 a question
00:26:05.160 from Aaron
00:26:05.960 is cookie
00:26:07.440 monster
00:26:07.840 racist
00:26:08.440 give me
00:26:13.000 the reasoning
00:26:13.460 on that
00:26:13.780 so I
00:26:14.100 picked
00:26:14.300 fights
00:26:14.680 with
00:26:14.860 lots
00:26:15.140 of
00:26:15.280 Muppets
00:26:15.660 I've
00:26:15.900 picked
00:26:16.080 fights
00:26:16.600 with
00:26:17.420 Big Bird
00:26:18.000 I've
00:26:18.260 picked
00:26:18.400 fights
00:26:18.740 with
00:26:18.940 Elmo
00:26:19.300 I've
00:26:19.640 picked
00:26:19.820 fights
00:26:20.140 with
00:26:20.360 Mickey
00:26:20.600 and
00:26:20.800 Pluto
00:26:21.020 are
00:26:21.220 not
00:26:21.420 Muppets
00:26:21.780 but
00:26:21.960 in
00:26:22.080 this
00:26:22.220 sort
00:26:22.420 of
00:26:22.600 vague
00:26:23.740 genre
00:26:24.300 but

00:26:54.780 it's
00:26:54.960 not

00:26:57.620 fiving

00:26:58.380 he
00:26:58.500 walks
00:26:58.860 and
00:26:59.040 then
00:26:59.280 there
00:26:59.700 were

00:27:01.860 a
00:27:02.020 high
00:27:02.220 five
00:27:02.560 and
00:27:02.720 he
00:27:02.840 didn't
00:27:03.140 high
00:27:03.340 five
00:27:03.600 them
00:27:03.840 and
00:27:03.980 then
00:27:04.100 he
00:27:04.240 kept
00:27:04.480 walking
00:27:04.920 and
00:27:05.640 the
00:27:06.020 interpretation
00:27:06.780 of this
00:27:07.380 when it
00:27:07.620 was posted
00:27:08.060 on
00:27:08.300 Instagram
00:27:08.760 was
00:27:09.600 that
00:27:09.980 it's
00:27:18.740 to jump
00:27:19.000 to that
00:27:19.280 conclusion
00:27:19.700 to me
00:27:20.060 seems
00:27:20.340 a little
00:27:20.720 premature
00:27:22.000 so
00:27:23.420 I
00:27:23.620 haven't
00:27:23.900 seen
00:27:24.080 the

00:27:24.480 so
00:27:24.700 I
00:27:24.860 can
00:27:25.020 provide
00:27:25.560 no

00:27:27.580 on it
00:27:27.880 I'm
00:27:28.060 sorry
00:27:28.280 I'm
00:27:28.540 behind

00:27:34.080 I
00:27:34.220 will
00:27:34.400 say
00:27:34.660 this
00:27:34.960 I
00:27:35.200 believe
00:27:35.560 all
00:27:35.860 children
00:27:36.220 deserve
00:27:36.600 a

00:27:37.220 I'm

00:27:37.960 child
00:27:38.680 and
00:27:40.480 and
00:27:40.500 you
00:27:42.540 know
00:27:42.780 if
00:27:43.060 these
00:27:44.500 young

00:27:45.200 didn't
00:27:45.500 get
00:27:45.740 high
00:27:46.000 fives
00:27:46.420 I
00:27:46.580 think
00:27:46.760 that
00:27:46.940 was
00:27:47.080 terrible
00:27:47.580 and
00:27:48.240 they
00:27:48.400 deserve
00:27:48.760 high
00:27:49.000 fives
00:27:49.400 I'm
00:27:49.960 against
00:27:50.280 it
00:27:50.540 I'm
00:27:51.260 against
00:27:51.820 those
00:27:52.320 people
00:27:53.080 not

00:27:57.840 yep
00:27:58.160 and
00:27:58.540 by
00:27:58.800 the

00:28:05.180 200
00:28:06.120 years
00:28:06.600 have
00:28:06.780 been
00:28:06.920 racist
00:28:07.420 you
00:28:08.460 can
00:28:08.620 answer
00:28:08.880 your
00:28:09.040 own
00:28:09.220 question
00:28:09.620 you
00:28:09.840 know
00:28:10.140 if
00:28:12.100 A
00:28:12.360 then
00:28:12.580 B
00:28:12.860 if
00:28:13.080 B
00:28:13.280 then
00:28:13.480 C
00:28:13.800 you
00:28:14.020 can
00:28:14.160 connect
00:28:14.460 the
00:28:14.640 dots
00:28:14.900 That's
00:28:16.860 true
00:28:17.340 we're
00:28:18.360 getting
00:28:18.500 a little
00:28:18.760 math
00:28:19.100 and it
00:28:19.320 really
00:28:19.480 does
00:28:19.680 feel like
00:28:20.040 Sesame
00:28:20.300 Street
00:28:20.600 next
00:28:21.280 question
00:28:21.720 from
00:28:22.260 Caligula
00:28:23.700 I hope
00:28:24.640 not the
00:28:24.940 real one
00:28:25.360 if
00:28:26.000 Biden
00:28:26.460 is not
00:28:27.220 the
00:28:27.420 Democrat
00:28:27.820 nominee
00:28:28.240 in
00:28:28.600 2024
00:28:29.200 who
00:28:30.640 will
00:28:31.300 be
00:28:31.760 good
00:28:32.940 question
00:28:33.380 so I
00:28:34.400 believe
00:28:34.680 Biden
00:28:35.020 will not
00:28:35.420 be the
00:28:35.700 nominee
00:28:35.960 he's
00:28:36.240 not
00:28:36.440 going
00:28:36.560 to
00:28:36.660 run
00:28:36.860 he
00:28:37.760 is
00:28:37.980 too
00:28:38.180 old
00:28:38.540 he
00:28:38.720 is
00:28:38.960 beyond
00:28:39.420 capacity
00:28:40.080 he
00:28:40.880 is
00:28:41.120 severely
00:28:41.620 diminished
00:28:42.160 everyone
00:28:42.580 knows
00:28:42.960 this
00:28:43.140 all
00:28:43.360 the
00:28:43.500 Republicans
00:28:43.960 know
00:28:44.280 this
00:28:44.460 all
00:28:44.640 the
00:28:44.780 Democrats
00:28:45.240 know
00:28:45.500 this
00:28:45.740 but
00:28:46.440 Biden
00:28:47.200 is
00:28:47.400 pretending
00:28:47.740 he's
00:28:48.000 going
00:28:48.100 to
00:28:48.200 run
00:28:48.420 because
00:28:48.800 of
00:28:49.040 course
00:28:49.220 he
00:28:49.340 didn't
00:28:49.460 want
00:28:49.580 to
00:28:49.640 be
00:28:49.720 a
00:28:49.820 lame
00:28:49.960 duck
00:28:50.160 I
00:28:50.360 get
00:28:50.700 that
00:28:50.900 that's
00:28:51.180 actually
00:28:51.460 the
00:28:51.640 right
00:28:51.920 thing
00:28:52.200 for
00:28:52.400 Biden
00:28:52.680 to
00:28:52.800 do
00:28:52.940 any
00:28:53.120 president
00:28:53.520 in
00:28:53.680 his
00:28:53.800 position
00:28:54.180 would
00:28:54.400 pretend
00:28:54.700 he's
00:28:54.880 going
00:28:55.000 to
00:28:55.080 run
00:28:55.280 I
00:28:56.220 don't
00:28:56.340 think
00:28:56.560 anyone
00:28:56.960 believes
00:28:57.340 when
00:28:59.420 Biden
00:28:59.880 doesn't
00:29:00.340 run
00:29:00.640 and
00:29:00.820 he's
00:29:01.040 going
00:29:01.140 to
00:29:01.220 delay
00:29:01.560 announcing
00:29:02.020 that
00:29:02.280 as
00:29:02.420 long
00:29:02.600 as
00:29:02.760 possible
00:29:03.140 because
00:29:03.320 he
00:29:03.420 doesn't
00:29:03.600 want
00:29:03.740 to
00:29:03.800 be
00:29:03.880 a
00:29:03.980 lame
00:29:04.140 duck
00:29:04.400 I
00:29:05.560 think
00:29:05.800 we're
00:29:06.000 going
00:29:06.100 to
00:29:06.220 see
00:29:06.580 a
00:29:07.200 free
00:29:08.020 for
00:29:08.280 all
00:29:08.760 bloody

00:29:10.540 in
00:29:10.740 the
00:29:10.840 Democratic
00:29:11.220 Party
00:29:11.600 I
00:29:14.060 think
00:29:14.320 right
00:29:14.680 now
00:29:15.060 Kamala
00:29:15.540 Harris
00:29:15.880 and
00:29:16.120 Pete
00:29:16.320 Buttigieg
00:29:16.740 are
00:29:18.100 firing
00:29:18.940 bazookas
00:29:19.700 at
00:29:19.900 each
00:29:20.120 other
00:29:20.360 every
00:29:20.740 day
00:29:21.220 I
00:29:21.500 think
00:29:21.720 they
00:29:21.940 are
00:29:22.100 stabbing
00:29:22.800 knives
00:29:23.200 in
00:29:23.340 each
00:29:23.520 other's
00:29:23.860 back
00:29:24.140 I
00:29:24.340 think
00:29:24.460 they
00:29:24.620 are
00:29:29.720 Elizabeth
00:29:30.060 Warren
00:29:30.520 is
00:29:31.760 only
00:29:32.160 a
00:29:32.560 hair
00:29:32.840 behind
00:29:33.340 them
00:29:33.680 I
00:29:33.840 think
00:29:34.060 Elizabeth
00:29:34.540 will
00:29:34.840 run
00:29:35.080 as
00:29:35.280 well
00:29:35.580 she's
00:29:35.960 clearly
00:29:36.320 ambitious
00:29:36.760 as
00:29:37.060 all
00:29:37.240 get
00:29:37.500 out
00:29:37.800 she
00:29:38.840 thinks
00:29:39.200 she'll
00:29:39.580 ride
00:29:40.240 the
00:29:40.780 row
00:29:41.560 decision
00:29:42.080 all
00:29:42.560 the
00:29:42.700 way
00:29:42.860 to

00:29:43.080 Democratic
00:29:43.460 primary

00:29:44.440 and
00:29:45.800 then
00:29:46.020 Gavin
00:29:46.420 Newsom
00:29:46.840 is
00:29:46.980 making
00:29:47.240 a
00:29:47.420 play
00:29:47.620 from
00:29:47.840 California
00:29:48.420 he
00:29:48.720 no
00:29:49.900 longer

00:29:51.660 he
00:29:51.940 no
00:29:52.100 longer
00:29:52.360 has
00:29:52.560 the
00:29:52.680 Daily
00:29:52.900 Wire
00:29:53.160 to
00:29:53.380 torment
00:29:53.680 so
00:29:53.940 now
00:29:54.120 he
00:29:54.240 wants
00:29:54.440 to
00:29:54.600 torment
00:29:54.840 all
00:29:55.220 of
00:29:55.340 America
00:29:55.760 I
00:29:56.420 do
00:29:56.600 think
00:29:56.860 it's
00:29:57.080 funny
00:29:57.340 that
00:29:57.560 Gavin
00:29:57.900 has
00:29:58.140 gone
00:29:58.360 all
00:29:58.540 the
00:29:58.640 way
00:29:58.760 to
00:29:58.880 Florida
00:29:59.160 to
00:29:59.360 run
00:29:59.560 ads
00:29:59.820 just
00:30:00.060 so
00:30:00.240 Ben
00:30:00.480 Shapiro
00:30:00.800 can
00:30:00.980 see
00:30:01.180 them
00:30:01.440 because
00:30:02.040 he
00:30:02.320 wants
00:30:02.620 to
00:30:02.800 chase
00:30:03.240 him
00:30:03.600 from
00:30:04.140 the
00:30:04.300 Pacific
00:30:04.680 to
00:30:04.940 the
00:30:05.200 Atlantic
00:30:05.620 that's
00:30:06.860 obviously
00:30:07.560 a
00:30:07.840 presidential
00:30:08.280 play
00:30:08.820 by
00:30:09.120 Gavin
00:30:09.520 and
00:30:09.760 look
00:30:10.320 I
00:30:10.620 I'm
00:30:11.660 not
00:30:11.860 remotely
00:30:12.360 an
00:30:12.620 expert
00:30:13.000 on
00:30:13.800 Democratic
00:30:15.100 presidential
00:30:15.800 primaries
00:30:16.580 but
00:30:18.540 right now
00:30:19.100 I see
00:30:19.540 those
00:30:19.860 four
00:30:20.340 as
00:30:20.600 likely
00:30:20.900 the
00:30:21.100 top
00:30:21.340 tier
00:30:21.620 I
00:30:23.580 don't
00:30:24.060 think
00:30:24.540 look
00:30:25.380 you
00:30:25.520 will
00:30:25.620 get
00:30:25.760 other
00:30:25.940 people
00:30:26.220 Amy
00:30:26.440 Klobuchar
00:30:26.880 or
00:30:27.180 Ron
00:30:27.480 I
00:30:27.700 like
00:30:28.140 Amy
00:30:28.480 she's
00:30:28.940 she's
00:30:29.220 actually
00:30:29.640 sometimes
00:30:31.100 less
00:30:31.560 crazy
00:30:32.140 than
00:30:32.460 some
00:30:32.680 of
00:30:32.760 the
00:30:32.860 other
00:30:33.040 members
00:30:33.340 of
00:30:33.480 her
00:30:33.580 party
00:30:33.900 yeah
00:30:34.640 this
00:30:35.080 is
00:30:35.220 these
00:30:35.380 are
00:30:35.500 slight
00:30:35.800 gradations
00:30:36.480 which
00:30:39.960 means
00:30:40.300 to
00:30:40.500 me
00:30:40.700 the
00:30:40.920 Democratic
00:30:41.460 primary
00:30:41.900 base
00:30:42.220 won't
00:30:42.460 want
00:30:42.720 her
00:30:42.860 I
00:30:43.040 think
00:30:43.480 they
00:30:44.300 haven't
00:30:44.740 learned
00:30:45.040 their
00:30:45.240 lesson
00:30:45.600 yet
00:30:45.920 they're
00:30:46.240 still
00:30:46.540 in
00:30:46.760 crazy
00:30:47.100 town
00:30:47.500 they're
00:30:47.740 doubling
00:30:48.000 down
00:30:48.360 on
00:30:48.540 crazy
00:30:48.840 town
00:30:49.300 I
00:30:50.060 think
00:30:50.280 if
00:30:50.460 Bernie
00:30:50.740 were
00:30:50.980 five
00:30:51.300 years
00:30:51.540 younger
00:30:51.840 he
00:30:52.040 would
00:30:52.220 run
00:30:52.420 again
00:30:52.700 and
00:30:52.840 he
00:30:52.940 could
00:30:53.080 easily
00:30:53.580 win
00:30:53.860 the
00:30:54.000 nomination
00:30:54.540 Bernie
00:30:55.780 is
00:30:56.120 probably
00:30:56.900 just
00:30:57.380 old
00:30:57.740 enough
00:30:58.180 that
00:30:58.440 he
00:30:59.720 suggests
00:31:00.420 that
00:31:00.620 he's
00:31:00.800 going
00:31:00.960 to
00:31:01.080 run
00:31:01.380 I
00:31:01.600 think
00:31:01.980 that's
00:31:02.300 probably
00:31:02.720 a
00:31:02.920 head
00:31:03.080 fake
00:31:03.440 that
00:31:03.720 at
00:31:06.480 okay
00:31:06.940 my
00:31:07.160 time
00:31:07.440 has
00:31:07.580 passed
00:31:08.000 so
00:31:08.300 my
00:31:08.600 guess
00:31:08.920 is
00:31:09.120 those
00:31:09.340 four
00:31:09.680 are
00:31:09.780 the
00:31:09.880 top
00:31:10.080 tier
00:31:10.300 if
00:31:11.780 only
00:31:12.040 we
00:31:12.240 could
00:31:12.380 get
00:31:12.560 another
00:31:12.920 another
00:31:13.320 Bernie
00:31:13.600 run
00:31:13.880 if
00:31:14.020 only
00:31:14.240 for
00:31:14.420 the
00:31:14.560 memes
00:31:14.840 but
00:31:15.120 I
00:31:15.260 think
00:31:15.400 you're
00:31:15.520 probably
00:31:15.700 right
00:31:15.940 he's
00:31:16.160 probably
00:31:16.400 passed
00:31:16.740 his
00:31:16.880 prime
00:31:17.120 from
00:31:18.000 Anna
00:31:18.420 cultural
00:31:19.980 question
00:31:20.560 Brad Pitt
00:31:21.980 has set
00:31:22.640 a new
00:31:23.100 male
00:31:23.440 fashion
00:31:23.960 trend
00:31:24.440 by
00:31:25.020 wearing
00:31:25.420 a
00:31:25.660 skirt
00:31:25.920 to
00:31:26.320 the
00:31:26.500 red
00:31:26.680 carpet
00:31:27.020 of
00:31:27.400 his
00:31:27.560 new
00:31:27.740 movie
00:31:28.000 premiere
00:31:28.400 that
00:31:29.640 happened
00:31:30.200 months
00:31:30.680 after
00:31:31.080 Harry
00:31:31.400 Stiles
00:31:32.020 posed
00:31:32.660 an
00:31:36.480 senator
00:31:37.760 Cruz
00:31:38.160 do
00:31:38.580 you
00:31:38.760 plan
00:31:39.020 to
00:31:39.220 embrace
00:31:39.680 this
00:31:39.940 new
00:31:40.260 open
00:31:40.640 minded
00:31:40.980 style
00:31:41.520 or
00:31:42.420 are
00:31:42.720 you
00:31:42.920 a
00:31:43.160 patriarchal
00:31:44.180 heteronormative
00:31:45.580 oppressor
00:31:46.520 option
00:31:48.080 b
00:31:48.320 option
00:31:49.420 b
00:31:49.660 obviously
00:31:50.140 that
00:31:50.440 was
00:31:50.780 clear
00:31:51.520 a mile
00:31:51.980 away
00:31:52.220 I
00:31:53.360 got
00:31:53.520 no
00:31:53.660 interest
00:31:54.000 in
00:31:54.140 wearing
00:31:54.320 a
00:31:54.520 skirt
00:31:54.780 the
00:31:56.320 only
00:31:56.680 possible
00:31:57.580 exception
00:31:58.200 might
00:31:59.360 be
00:31:59.560 if
00:31:59.740 I'm
00:31:59.920 in
00:32:00.060 Glasgow
00:32:00.520 at
00:32:01.960 a
00:32:02.120 party
00:32:02.440 and
00:32:02.740 they
00:32:02.880 convince
00:32:03.240 me
00:32:03.440 to
00:32:03.580 wear
00:32:03.740 a
00:32:03.900 kilt
00:32:04.160 although
00:32:04.420 real
00:32:04.760 Scotsman
00:32:05.260 wear
00:32:05.460 nothing
00:32:05.820 under
00:32:06.040 their
00:32:06.240 kilts
00:32:06.700 I'm
00:32:07.940 not
00:32:08.100 a
00:32:08.240 real
00:32:08.400 Scotsman
00:32:08.960 so
00:32:09.460 that
00:32:09.660 does
00:32:09.840 not
00:32:10.100 seem
00:32:10.480 at
00:32:10.740 all
00:32:10.960 tempting
00:32:11.300 to
00:32:11.520 me
00:32:11.700 it
00:32:11.860 actually
00:32:12.140 sounds
00:32:12.500 kind
00:32:12.720 of
00:32:12.820 cold
00:32:13.160 because
00:32:13.380 Scotland
00:32:13.720 is
00:32:13.940 really
00:32:14.160 kind
00:32:14.400 of
00:32:14.480 cold
00:32:14.760 a
00:32:14.940 lot
00:32:15.080 of
00:32:15.200 the
00:32:15.280 time
00:32:15.460 of
00:32:15.560 the
00:32:15.640 year
00:32:15.840 and
00:32:16.640 like
00:32:16.940 I'm
00:32:17.140 not
00:32:17.300 interested
00:32:17.660 in
00:32:17.840 a
00:32:17.940 breeze
00:32:18.340 like
00:32:18.600 that
00:32:18.840 sounds
00:32:20.060 thoroughly
00:32:20.480 unpleasant
00:32:21.000 I
00:32:21.640 will
00:32:22.140 tell
00:32:22.540 a
00:32:24.200 story
00:32:24.680 from
00:32:24.980 college
00:32:25.400 debating
00:32:25.760 days
00:32:26.200 so
00:32:27.860 I'm
00:32:28.880 terrified
00:32:29.260 to know
00:32:29.640 how this
00:32:29.940 is going
00:32:30.220 to connect
00:32:30.600 Senator
00:32:30.940 okay
00:32:31.940 so
00:32:32.220 it
00:32:32.400 involves
00:32:33.100 my
00:32:34.020 alma mater
00:32:34.540 and
00:32:35.780 your
00:32:35.940 alma mater
00:32:36.400 now
00:32:37.760 I'm
00:32:37.940 really
00:32:38.120 terrified
00:32:38.500 to know
00:32:38.800 how
00:32:38.920 this
00:32:39.080 connects
00:32:39.420 when
00:32:40.280 I
00:32:40.480 was
00:32:40.680 a
00:32:41.340 freshman
00:32:41.800 at
00:32:42.860 Princeton
00:32:43.560 at
00:32:44.860 the
00:32:45.000 Yale
00:32:45.220 debate
00:32:45.540 tournament
00:32:45.960 in
00:32:46.460 the
00:32:46.640 final
00:32:46.980 round
00:32:47.400 there
00:32:47.560 was
00:32:47.700 a
00:32:47.820 team
00:32:48.000 from
00:32:48.200 Princeton
00:32:48.620 who
00:32:49.480 were
00:32:50.020 sophomores
00:32:51.180 I was
00:32:51.460 a
00:32:51.560 freshman
00:32:51.820 so
00:32:52.000 I
00:32:52.120 was
00:32:52.220 watching
00:32:52.580 it
00:32:52.700 in
00:32:52.760 the
00:32:52.840 final
00:32:53.040 round
00:32:53.380 team
00:32:54.100 from
00:32:54.280 Princeton
00:32:54.560 really
00:32:54.800 talented
00:32:55.200 debaters
00:32:55.660 and
00:32:55.940 a
00:32:56.120 team
00:32:56.560 from
00:32:56.780 Scotland
00:32:57.240 Glasgow
00:32:58.220 way
00:32:58.560 and
00:33:00.240 the
00:33:00.900 lead
00:33:02.700 speaker
00:33:03.120 there
00:33:03.420 was a
00:33:03.760 fellow
00:33:03.920 named
00:33:04.100 Austin
00:33:04.480 Lally
00:33:04.800 I
00:33:04.920 don't
00:33:05.000 know
00:33:05.080 what
00:33:05.180 he
00:33:05.280 may
00:33:05.740 be
00:33:05.880 in
00:33:06.040 politics
00:33:06.520 or
00:33:06.700 something
00:33:06.920 he
00:33:07.040 was
00:33:07.080 incredibly
00:33:07.500 talented
00:33:07.860 speaker
00:33:08.220 he
00:33:08.360 was
00:33:08.500 the
00:33:08.620 lead
00:33:08.780 speaker
00:33:09.080 for
00:33:09.260 Glasgow
00:33:15.540 round
00:33:15.760 were
00:33:15.960 typically
00:33:16.320 humorous
00:33:16.980 because
00:33:17.400 the
00:33:17.640 two
00:33:17.840 teams
00:33:18.220 that
00:33:18.400 broke
00:33:18.600 to
00:33:18.720 the
00:33:18.840 final
00:33:19.060 round
00:33:19.380 qualified
00:33:19.840 for
00:33:20.140 nationals
00:33:20.660 and
00:33:21.660 so
00:33:21.920 everyone
00:33:22.360 watching
00:33:22.840 the
00:33:23.020 debate
00:33:23.300 had
00:33:23.520 lost
00:33:23.980 so
00:33:24.540 they
00:33:24.640 were
00:33:24.760 all
00:33:24.960 pissed
00:33:25.220 off
00:33:25.540 and
00:33:25.700 so
00:33:25.840 you
00:33:25.980 kind
00:33:26.180 of
00:33:26.300 you
00:33:26.420 tried
00:33:26.700 to
00:33:26.840 do
00:33:26.940 a
00:33:27.080 funny
00:33:27.280 round
00:33:27.660 to
00:33:27.980 entertain
00:33:28.480 the
00:33:28.660 people
00:33:28.880 who
00:33:29.000 had
00:33:29.120 lost
00:33:29.480 and
00:33:30.800 so
00:33:31.220 the
00:33:32.480 Princeton
00:33:32.860 team
00:33:33.220 of
00:33:33.380 sophomores
00:33:33.880 they
00:33:34.080 got up
00:33:34.480 and the
00:33:34.700 case
00:33:35.000 they
00:33:35.200 proposed
00:33:35.840 is
00:33:37.200 America
00:33:37.980 is
00:33:39.220 better
00:33:39.520 than
00:33:39.720 England
00:33:40.040 they
00:33:41.480 got
00:33:41.980 up
00:33:42.620 and
00:33:48.880 the
00:33:49.200 lead
00:33:49.420 speaker
00:33:49.740 for
00:33:49.920 the
00:33:50.040 opposition
00:33:50.520 this
00:33:50.920 fellow
00:33:51.120 Austin
00:33:51.440 Lally
00:33:51.720 from
00:33:51.920 Glasgow
00:33:52.280 he
00:33:52.480 got
00:33:52.660 something
00:33:52.860 he's
00:33:53.260 in
00:33:53.840 a
00:33:53.940 full
00:33:54.100 kilt
00:33:54.300 so
00:33:54.460 this
00:33:54.600 is
00:33:54.700 how
00:33:54.840 it
00:33:54.960 connects
00:33:55.200 because
00:33:55.360 he's
00:33:55.540 dressed
00:33:55.760 in
00:33:55.900 a
00:33:55.980 full
00:33:56.120 kilt
00:33:56.380 and
00:33:58.280 he
00:33:58.560 goes
00:33:58.800 Mr.
00:34:00.620 Speaker
00:34:01.020 Sir
00:34:01.820 there
00:34:03.660 are
00:34:03.800 few
00:34:04.260 things
00:34:04.900 you
00:34:05.080 can
00:34:05.300 do
00:34:05.920 and
00:34:07.020 a
00:34:07.160 Scotsman
00:34:07.600 when he's
00:34:07.920 in
00:34:08.020 his
00:34:08.180 kilt
00:34:08.460 has
00:34:08.720 a
00:34:08.880 sock
00:34:09.200 that
00:34:09.340 goes
00:34:09.580 all
00:34:09.760 the
00:34:09.840 way
00:34:11.180 up
00:34:11.280 but
00:34:11.360 he
00:34:11.420 has
00:34:11.540 a
00:34:11.780 ceremonial
00:34:12.560 dagger
00:34:12.920 in
00:34:13.100 his
00:34:13.260 sock
00:34:13.800 so
00:34:14.840 he
00:34:15.000 pulls
00:34:15.580 out
00:34:15.840 the
00:34:16.020 dagger
00:34:16.360 and
00:34:16.620 goes
00:34:16.800 there
00:34:17.460 are
00:34:17.640 few
00:34:17.900 things
00:34:18.440 you
00:34:18.600 can
00:34:18.800 do
00:34:19.420 to
00:34:20.600 piss
00:34:21.280 off
00:34:22.080 a
00:34:22.420 Scots
00:34:22.860 more
00:34:23.520 than
00:34:24.820 to
00:34:25.060 confuse
00:34:25.840 him
00:34:26.220 with
00:34:27.240 an
00:34:27.420 Englishman
00:34:28.280 and
00:34:29.140 he
00:34:29.320 sticks
00:34:29.880 the
00:34:30.180 dagger
00:34:30.560 into
00:34:31.420 the
00:34:31.620 podium
00:34:31.920 and
00:34:32.120 it's
00:34:32.320 just
00:34:32.520 like
00:34:32.800 it's
00:34:33.100 stuck
00:34:33.540 into
00:34:33.820 the
00:34:34.000 podium
00:34:34.260 at
00:34:34.540 Yale
00:34:34.800 the
00:34:35.580 entire
00:34:36.360 room
00:34:37.120 erupts
00:34:38.320 in
00:34:38.600 laughter
00:34:38.900 I
00:34:39.020 mean
00:34:39.120 it
00:34:39.320 just
00:34:39.780 brings
00:34:40.820 the
00:34:41.040 house
00:34:41.300 down
00:34:41.660 he
00:34:42.320 spends
00:34:42.680 the
00:34:42.860 remainder
00:34:43.260 of
00:34:43.500 his
00:34:43.680 speech
00:34:44.140 just
00:34:44.900 mercilessly
00:34:46.300 battering
00:34:47.640 my
00:34:47.880 teammates
00:34:48.400 I
00:34:48.600 mean
00:34:48.760 it
00:34:48.960 was
00:34:49.220 back
00:34:49.980 and
00:34:50.160 forth
00:34:50.320 the
00:34:50.440 round
00:34:50.860 was
00:34:51.060 over
00:34:51.280 at
00:34:51.480 that
00:34:51.680 point
00:34:51.980 fast
00:34:53.440 forward
00:34:53.760 to the
00:34:54.020 very end
00:34:54.440 of the
00:34:54.620 round
00:34:54.820 he's
00:34:55.060 he's
00:34:55.080 clearly
00:34:55.340 won
00:34:55.620 the
00:34:55.760 round
00:34:56.060 the
00:34:57.260 very
00:34:57.500 end
00:34:57.800 his
00:34:57.960 last
00:34:58.240 speech
00:34:58.580 as
00:34:58.720 rebuttal
00:34:59.080 he's
00:34:59.280 up
00:34:59.440 there
00:34:59.620 and
00:34:59.720 he's
00:34:59.860 about
00:35:00.100 to
00:35:00.260 close
00:35:00.520 he
00:35:00.660 goes
00:35:00.860 all
00:35:02.080 right
00:35:02.380 I
00:35:03.640 know
00:35:03.920 you've
00:35:04.180 been
00:35:04.300 waiting
00:35:04.620 for
00:35:04.940 it
00:35:05.120 so
00:35:06.540 I'll
00:35:06.760 give
00:35:06.960 it
00:35:07.080 to
00:35:07.240 you
00:35:07.440 I
00:35:08.820 can't
00:35:09.200 give
00:35:09.400 it
00:35:09.500 anymore
00:35:10.000 captain
00:35:10.520 I'm
00:35:10.800 giving
00:35:11.020 her
00:35:11.220 all
00:35:11.420 she's
00:35:11.800 got
00:35:12.120 and
00:35:15.140 with
00:35:15.360 that
00:35:15.700 again
00:35:16.180 the
00:35:16.440 entire
00:35:16.960 room
00:35:17.580 lost
00:35:18.960 it
00:35:19.260 and
00:35:20.140 he
00:35:20.320 returned
00:35:20.820 to
00:35:21.100 his
00:35:21.320 seat
00:35:21.660 in
00:35:22.100 triumphant
00:35:22.940 victory
00:35:23.420 in
00:35:24.200 that
00:35:24.500 circumstance
00:35:25.120 wearing
00:35:25.720 a skirt
00:35:26.180 which
00:35:26.400 was
00:35:26.560 a
00:35:26.700 kilt
00:35:27.000 was
00:35:27.880 a
00:35:28.060 strong
00:35:28.500 and
00:35:28.720 manly
00:35:29.080 thing
00:35:29.360 to
00:35:29.520 do
00:35:30.000 yes
00:35:30.480 Hollywood
00:35:31.640 actors
00:35:32.120 or
00:35:32.300 singers
00:35:32.580 doing
00:35:32.980 it
00:35:33.340 let
00:35:34.980 me
00:35:35.100 just
00:35:35.320 be
00:35:35.520 mild
00:35:35.920 and
00:35:36.180 say
00:35:36.600 not
00:35:37.160 my
00:35:37.320 thing
00:35:37.560 not
00:35:38.360 not
00:35:38.620 so
00:35:38.820 much
00:35:39.080 I
00:35:39.300 agree
00:35:39.520 I
00:35:39.700 also
00:35:40.020 by
00:35:40.220 the
00:35:40.280 way
00:35:40.420 Senator
00:35:40.720 do
00:35:41.080 know
00:35:41.440 what
00:35:41.960 became
00:35:42.420 of
00:35:42.620 Mr.
00:35:43.040 Lally
00:35:43.360 he
00:35:43.920 actually
00:35:44.320 became
00:35:44.740 he
00:35:45.080 became
00:35:45.460 the
00:35:45.620 groundskeeper
00:35:46.180 on
00:35:46.380 the
00:35:46.520 Simpsons
00:35:47.300 which
00:35:47.620 is
00:35:47.880 unfortunate
00:35:49.280 you know
00:35:49.800 I
00:35:49.960 I
00:35:50.420 know
00:35:50.560 everyone
00:35:50.840 thought
00:35:51.080 maybe
00:35:51.360 he
00:35:51.600 could
00:35:51.820 become
00:35:52.280 a
00:35:52.400 big
00:35:52.520 political
00:35:52.840 figure
00:35:53.060 but
00:35:53.220 that
00:35:53.380 is
00:35:53.640 funny
00:35:54.140 that
00:35:54.720 is
00:35:54.960 funny
00:35:55.240 all
00:35:56.800 right
00:35:57.080 I
00:35:57.420 think
00:35:57.680 we
00:35:57.780 have
00:35:57.900 time
00:35:58.160 for
00:35:58.360 at least
00:35:58.720 at least
00:35:59.200 one
00:35:59.380 or two
00:35:59.680 more
00:35:59.820 I
00:35:59.860 promise
00:36:00.240 you
00:36:00.540 when
00:36:00.680 the
00:36:00.820 libel
00:36:01.100 suit
00:36:01.340 gets
00:36:01.580 filed
00:36:01.880 against
00:36:02.260 you
00:36:02.560 I
00:36:02.820 will
00:36:03.020 recommend
00:36:03.460 a
00:36:03.740 lawyer
00:36:04.000 who's
00:36:04.240 really
00:36:04.420 expensive
00:36:04.820 to
00:36:05.000 represent
00:36:05.280 you
00:36:05.620 thank
00:36:06.240 you
00:36:06.380 so
00:36:06.560 much
00:36:06.800 I
00:36:06.940 appreciate
00:36:07.320 that
00:36:07.680 I
00:36:07.860 know
00:36:08.140 you're
00:36:08.380 very
00:36:08.620 busy
00:36:08.940 but
00:36:09.220 if
00:36:09.380 you
00:36:09.880 could
00:36:10.020 get
00:36:10.160 me
00:36:10.280 a
00:36:10.400 pricey
00:36:10.720 lawyer
00:36:10.860 that'd
00:36:11.060 be
00:36:11.120 great
00:36:11.360 from
00:36:12.140 cautiously
00:36:12.680 optimistic
00:36:13.280 this
00:36:14.520 actually
00:36:14.920 relates
00:36:15.240 to
00:36:15.380 school
00:36:15.700 dear
00:36:16.160 senator
00:36:16.600 I'm
00:36:17.420 a
00:36:17.560 T14
00:36:18.300 law
00:36:18.860 student
00:36:19.300 who
00:36:19.820 will
00:36:19.980 be
00:36:20.100 working
00:36:23.020 at
00:36:23.220 a
00:36:23.320 big
00:36:23.480 law
00:36:23.740 firm
00:36:24.000 after
00:36:24.240 I
00:36:24.400 graduate
00:36:24.820 I'm
00:36:25.420 very
00:36:25.680 passionate
00:36:26.140 about
00:36:26.440 litigation
00:36:26.940 how
00:36:27.520 valuable
00:36:28.040 is
00:36:28.320 it
00:36:28.440 to
00:36:28.620 clerk
00:36:28.920 for
00:36:29.100 a
00:36:29.260 federal
00:36:29.580 judge
00:36:30.080 great
00:36:31.580 question
00:36:32.000 massively
00:36:33.080 valuable
00:36:33.540 if
00:36:34.260 you
00:36:34.400 want
00:36:34.640 to
00:36:34.720 be
00:36:34.820 a
00:36:34.960 litigator
00:36:35.340 it's
00:36:35.580 the
00:36:35.760 single
00:36:36.140 most
00:36:36.420 important
00:36:36.760 thing
00:36:36.960 you
00:36:37.060 can
00:36:37.140 do
00:36:37.360 I
00:36:38.680 clerked
00:36:39.040 for
00:36:39.120 two
00:36:39.300 judges
00:36:39.680 I
00:36:39.860 clerked
00:36:40.160 for
00:36:40.280 Mike
00:36:40.540 Ludig
00:36:40.940 who
00:36:41.080 was
00:36:41.200 a
00:36:41.320 judge
00:36:41.500 in
00:36:41.600 the
00:36:41.680 federal
00:36:41.840 court
00:36:42.040 of
00:36:42.140 appeals
00:36:42.540 and
00:36:42.900 then
00:36:43.060 I
00:36:43.220 clerked
00:36:43.620 for
00:36:43.820 Chief
00:36:44.080 Justice
00:36:44.400 William
00:36:44.680 Rehnquist
00:36:45.200 on
00:36:45.940 the
00:36:46.100 Supreme
00:36:46.400 Court
00:36:46.800 I
00:36:47.700 learned
00:36:48.100 more
00:36:48.620 each
00:36:49.040 year
00:36:49.280 of my
00:36:49.600 clerkship
00:36:50.100 than
00:36:50.260 I
00:36:50.340 did
00:36:50.480 all
00:36:50.660 of
00:36:50.760 law
00:36:50.960 school
00:36:51.140 it
00:36:51.500 is
00:36:51.900 the
00:36:52.120 single
00:36:52.820 biggest
00:37:02.000 academic
00:37:02.900 things
00:37:03.520 you
00:37:04.660 don't
00:37:04.940 understand
00:37:05.460 that
00:37:05.680 judges
00:37:05.960 are
00:37:06.160 people
00:37:06.540 you
00:37:07.000 don't
00:37:07.240 understand
00:37:07.660 how
00:37:07.900 judges
00:37:08.320 actually
00:37:09.020 make
00:37:09.420 decisions
00:37:10.120 the
00:37:10.800 interaction
00:37:11.420 particularly
00:37:11.900 in an
00:37:12.160 appellate
00:37:12.460 court
00:37:12.740 between
00:37:13.080 multiple
00:37:13.540 judges
00:37:13.980 the
00:37:14.180 back
00:37:14.440 and
00:37:14.620 forth
00:37:14.900 and
00:37:15.120 clerking
00:37:15.760 gives
00:37:17.140 you
00:37:17.400 an
00:37:17.580 inside
00:37:18.120 view
00:37:18.440 to
00:37:18.700 it
00:37:18.880 that
00:37:19.160 is
00:37:19.800 just
00:37:20.240 you
00:37:20.940 know
00:37:21.020 I
00:37:21.060 remember
00:37:21.200 Chief
00:37:21.440 Justice
00:37:21.800 Rehnquist
00:37:22.240 it was
00:37:22.500 amazing
00:37:22.820 so I
00:37:23.240 clerked
00:37:23.620 for
00:37:23.760 him
00:37:24.300 1996
00:37:25.060 to
00:37:25.580 97
00:37:26.080 that
00:37:27.780 was
00:37:28.240 his
00:37:28.500 25th
00:37:29.160 anniversary
00:37:29.620 as a
00:37:29.920 justice
00:37:30.220 it was
00:37:30.880 his
00:37:31.100 10th
00:37:31.440 anniversary
00:37:31.960 as
00:37:32.940 Chief
00:37:33.200 Justice
00:37:33.620 and
00:37:35.340 for
00:37:35.580 him
00:37:35.960 when
00:37:36.180 we'd
00:37:36.420 have
00:37:36.580 a
00:37:36.720 case
00:37:37.000 coming
00:37:37.320 up
00:37:38.140 and
00:37:39.960 it
00:37:41.980 was a
00:37:42.320 case
00:37:42.600 that
00:37:42.760 you'd
00:37:42.960 studied
00:37:43.220 in
00:37:43.400 law
00:37:43.600 school
00:37:43.820 and
00:37:43.980 you
00:37:44.080 thought
00:37:44.320 of
00:37:44.420 it
00:37:44.520 as
00:37:44.660 Smith
00:37:44.920 versus
00:37:45.240 Jones
00:37:45.660 you
00:37:45.960 know
00:37:46.080 it
00:37:46.200 was
00:37:46.320 sort
00:37:46.480 of
00:37:46.560 an
00:37:46.680 abstract
00:37:47.000 that
00:37:47.380 stands
00:37:47.720 for
00:37:47.880 this
00:37:48.060 proposition
00:37:48.520 of
00:37:48.800 law
00:37:49.060 what
00:37:49.960 was
00:37:50.120 amazing
00:37:50.520 about
00:37:50.740 the
00:37:50.940 chief
00:37:51.240 is
00:37:51.440 for
00:37:51.620 him
00:37:52.020 it
00:37:52.240 was
00:37:52.440 a
00:37:52.580 memory
00:37:53.080 and
00:37:54.260 it
00:37:54.400 was
00:37:54.560 a
00:37:54.760 memory
00:37:55.140 of
00:37:55.440 sitting
00:37:55.980 at
00:37:56.280 conference
00:37:56.860 with
00:37:57.160 the
00:37:57.280 other
00:38:01.440 would
00:38:01.560 be
00:38:01.660 like
00:38:01.860 oh
00:38:02.740 yes
00:38:03.380 that
00:38:04.540 was
00:38:04.840 the
00:38:05.100 case
00:38:05.580 when
00:38:05.920 Thurgood
00:38:06.720 wanted
00:38:07.780 to do
00:38:08.300 such
00:38:08.800 and
00:38:09.040 such
00:38:09.520 but
00:38:10.240 we
00:38:10.620 didn't
00:38:11.020 agree
00:38:11.560 with
00:38:11.960 that
00:38:12.520 and
00:38:13.640 it
00:38:13.840 just
00:38:14.100 it
00:38:14.300 gives
00:38:14.800 you
00:38:15.080 an
00:38:15.300 insight
00:38:16.020 into
00:38:17.160 how
00:38:17.700 courts
00:38:18.340 actually
00:38:19.020 reach
00:38:19.780 decisions
00:38:20.280 if
00:38:20.480 you
00:38:20.620 want
00:38:20.820 to
00:38:20.900 do
00:38:21.000 trial
00:38:21.400 work
00:38:21.800 clerking
00:38:22.500 at
00:38:22.620 the
00:38:22.740 district
00:38:23.020 court
00:38:23.340 is
00:38:23.500 incredibly
00:38:23.960 helpful
00:38:24.400 if
00:38:25.000 you
00:38:25.080 want
00:38:25.220 to
00:38:25.300 do
00:38:25.380 appellate
00:38:25.760 work
00:38:26.020 clerking
00:38:26.340 at
00:38:26.440 appellate
00:38:26.880 court
00:38:27.200 is
00:38:28.100 incredibly
00:38:28.580 helpful
00:38:29.020 but
00:38:29.260 I
00:38:29.440 enthusiastically
00:38:30.540 recommend
00:38:31.100 judicial
00:38:31.460 clerkships
00:38:32.040 wow
00:38:32.860 next
00:38:34.060 question
00:38:34.500 from
00:38:34.980 Godzilla
00:38:35.960 rules
00:38:36.460 do
00:38:37.300 you
00:38:37.540 think
00:38:37.880 the
00:38:38.100 antichrist
00:38:38.960 in the
00:38:39.380 bible
00:38:39.680 is alive
00:38:40.620 today
00:38:41.080 I
00:38:44.020 don't
00:38:44.280 know
00:38:44.700 um
00:38:46.460 you
00:38:48.540 know
00:38:48.640 the bible
00:38:49.080 says
00:38:49.440 Jesus
00:38:49.780 is
00:38:50.040 coming
00:38:50.380 but
00:38:50.640 no
00:38:50.880 man
00:38:51.140 knows
00:38:51.420 the
00:38:51.580 hour
00:38:51.840 and
00:38:53.660 look
00:38:54.600 I
00:38:54.780 grew
00:38:55.080 up
00:38:55.340 in
00:38:55.480 the
00:38:55.600 evangelical
00:38:56.020 world
00:38:56.580 southern
00:38:56.860 baptist
00:38:57.340 world
00:38:57.600 where
00:38:57.800 there
00:38:57.900 are
00:38:57.960 all
00:38:58.120 sorts
00:38:58.360 of
00:38:58.480 things
00:38:58.720 saying
00:38:59.180 the
00:38:59.380 antichrist
00:38:59.980 is
00:39:00.280 this
00:39:01.060 or that
00:39:01.440 or the
00:39:01.700 other
00:39:02.000 and
00:39:02.280 this
00:39:02.500 is
00:39:02.740 you
00:39:02.920 know
00:39:03.040 whether
00:39:03.220 the
00:39:03.380 antichrist
00:39:03.800 is
00:39:03.960 Barack
00:39:04.240 Obama
00:39:04.580 the
00:39:04.760 antichrist
00:39:05.120 is
00:39:05.260 Donald
00:39:05.480 Trump
00:39:05.740 whoever
00:39:06.680 it is
00:39:07.200 I've
00:39:07.440 heard
00:39:07.660 a thousand
00:39:08.240 people
00:39:08.640 of the
00:39:08.880 antichrist
00:39:09.380 I guess
00:39:10.620 I have
00:39:10.940 a degree
00:39:11.320 of humility
00:39:11.960 in that
00:39:12.880 if
00:39:14.180 if
00:39:14.200 I see
00:39:14.500 I see
00:39:14.520 someone
00:39:14.840 stand up
00:39:15.580 and
00:39:15.740 mandate
00:39:16.120 that
00:39:16.340 we
00:39:16.460 must
00:39:16.640 all
00:39:16.840 get
00:39:17.040 666
00:39:17.580 tattooed
00:39:18.240 on our
00:39:18.440 forehead
00:39:18.700 in the
00:39:18.880 back
00:39:19.060 of our
00:39:19.280 hand
00:39:19.540 I'll
00:39:19.720 be
00:39:19.820 like
00:39:20.000 okay
00:39:20.800 now
00:39:21.380 you're
00:39:21.620 telling me
00:39:22.080 somewhere
00:39:22.440 but
00:39:24.460 short
00:39:25.080 of that
00:39:25.760 I'm
00:39:26.440 going
00:39:26.620 to
00:39:26.760 express
00:39:27.400 look
00:39:28.500 the
00:39:30.020 world
00:39:30.360 could
00:39:30.620 end
00:39:30.860 tomorrow
00:39:31.360 it
00:39:31.720 could
00:39:31.860 end
00:39:32.200 a
00:39:32.360 thousand
00:39:32.660 years
00:39:33.100 from
00:39:33.360 now
00:39:33.660 it
00:39:33.840 could
00:39:33.960 end
00:39:34.180 10,000
00:39:34.780 years
00:39:35.100 from
00:39:35.300 now
00:39:35.560 and
00:39:35.880 if
00:39:37.720 you
00:39:37.860 look
00:39:38.060 at
00:39:38.220 biblical
00:39:38.540 prophecy
00:39:39.100 there
00:39:39.300 are all
00:39:39.540 sorts
00:39:39.800 of ways
00:39:40.180 to
00:39:40.380 interpret
00:39:40.800 it
00:39:41.040 that
00:39:41.200 I'll
00:39:41.440 just
00:39:41.680 say
00:39:41.980 I
00:39:42.600 ain't
00:39:42.860 smart
00:39:43.220 enough
00:39:43.540 to
00:39:43.740 say
00:39:43.900 I
00:39:44.040 know
00:39:44.180 the
00:39:44.340 answer
00:39:44.700 and
00:39:46.800 so
00:39:47.440 I
00:39:50.520 think
00:39:50.720 we
00:39:50.900 should
00:39:51.180 live
00:39:51.560 as if
00:39:52.000 we've
00:39:52.320 got
00:39:52.520 a
00:39:52.640 whole
00:39:52.820 lifetime
00:39:53.180 ahead
00:39:53.520 of
00:39:53.700 us
00:39:54.000 and
00:39:54.480 we're
00:39:54.760 going
00:39:54.860 to
00:39:54.960 have
00:39:55.140 the
00:39:55.280 biggest
00:39:55.520 impact
00:39:56.120 on
00:39:57.280 our
00:39:57.520 community
00:39:57.940 and
00:39:58.100 our
00:39:58.240 neighbors
00:39:58.540 and
00:39:58.700 our
00:39:58.860 world
00:39:59.260 and
00:39:59.780 if
00:40:00.580 the
00:40:01.280 Savior
00:40:01.520 chooses
00:40:01.880 to
00:40:02.160 come
00:40:02.360 earlier
00:40:02.820 we
00:40:04.860 will
00:40:05.060 welcome
00:40:05.420 and
00:40:05.660 celebrate
00:40:06.080 that
00:40:06.520 happy
00:40:07.040 moment
00:40:07.540 but
00:40:07.900 in
00:40:08.440 the
00:40:08.560 meantime
00:40:09.020 we
00:40:09.220 have
00:40:09.340 work
00:40:09.500 to
00:40:09.640 do
00:40:09.800 right
00:40:10.620 ready
00:40:11.280 to
00:40:11.520 die
00:40:11.720 tomorrow
00:40:12.180 but
00:40:12.420 planning
00:40:12.840 to
00:40:13.080 live
00:40:13.280 for
00:40:13.440 a
00:40:13.560 very
00:40:13.720 long
00:40:14.000 time
00:40:14.240 and
00:40:14.340 get
00:40:14.460 a lot
00:40:14.680 of
00:40:14.800 things
00:40:15.040 done
00:40:15.300 and
00:40:15.700 to
00:40:15.820 your
00:40:15.980 point
00:40:16.200 senator
00:40:16.500 I
00:40:16.700 think
00:40:16.860 anyone
00:40:17.460 who
00:40:17.680 tells
00:40:17.980 you
00:40:18.180 that
00:40:18.360 they
00:40:18.600 understand
00:40:19.580 with
00:40:19.800 crystal
00:40:20.240 clarity
00:40:20.780 the
00:40:21.360 book
00:40:21.600 of
00:40:21.720 the
00:40:21.860 apocalypse
00:40:22.380 revelation
00:40:23.260 or
00:40:23.540 that
00:40:23.760 is
00:40:23.920 how
00:40:24.040 you
00:40:24.180 know
00:40:24.440 with
00:40:24.700 certainty
00:40:25.180 that
00:40:25.880 person
00:40:26.200 is
00:40:26.340 completely
00:40:26.680 insane
00:40:27.100 they
00:40:27.380 certainly
00:40:27.900 don't
00:40:28.140 know
00:40:28.240 what
00:40:28.360 they're
00:40:28.460 talking
00:40:28.680 about
00:40:28.840 but
00:40:28.940 I
00:40:29.060 do
00:40:29.560 love
00:40:29.780 the
00:40:29.900 point
00:40:39.340 don't
00:40:39.500 think
00:40:39.780 we
00:40:39.960 are
00:40:40.200 I
00:40:40.340 wouldn't
00:40:40.860 bet
00:40:41.500 on
00:40:41.840 it
00:40:41.980 exactly
00:40:42.460 but
00:40:42.820 I
00:40:43.060 guess
00:40:43.200 somebody
00:40:43.420 is
00:40:43.540 going
00:40:43.700 to
00:40:43.900 so
00:40:44.960 I
00:40:45.120 will
00:40:45.360 say
00:40:45.780 so
00:40:46.160 growing
00:40:46.600 up
00:40:46.800 in
00:40:46.940 Houston
00:40:47.240 when I
00:40:47.480 was a
00:40:47.680 little
00:40:47.840 kid
00:40:48.340 for a
00:40:48.860 period
00:40:49.040 of time
00:40:49.380 we went
00:40:49.640 to
00:40:49.760 First
00:40:49.960 Baptist
00:40:50.260 Church
00:40:50.620 and
00:40:50.780 the
00:40:50.900 pastor
00:40:51.180 there
00:40:51.380 John
00:40:51.640 Bassania
00:40:52.060 did a
00:40:53.120 year-long
00:40:53.880 sermon
00:40:54.260 series
00:40:54.660 of the
00:40:54.900 book
00:40:55.040 of
00:40:55.140 Revelation
00:40:55.560 and
00:40:55.780 I
00:40:55.900 thought
00:40:58.120 it
00:40:59.740 was
00:40:59.880 fascinating
00:41:00.520 I
00:41:00.820 mean
00:41:00.900 it
00:41:01.000 really
00:41:01.500 was
00:41:01.800 interesting
00:41:02.260 and
00:41:02.640 today
00:41:03.480 Heidi
00:41:03.960 and I
00:41:04.240 were
00:41:04.380 members
00:41:04.660 at
00:41:04.800 First
00:41:04.980 Baptist
00:41:05.280 the
00:41:05.480 same
00:41:05.680 church
00:41:06.020 and
00:41:06.220 our
00:41:06.760 pastor
00:41:07.200 today
00:41:07.680 is
00:41:07.940 the
00:41:08.260 successor
00:41:08.700 to
00:41:08.900 John
00:41:09.080 Bassania
00:41:09.440 is a
00:41:10.580 wonderful
00:41:11.180 pastor
00:41:11.720 incredible
00:41:13.820 man of
00:41:14.280 God
00:41:14.520 very
00:41:14.960 scholarly
00:41:15.600 but
00:41:15.860 very
00:41:16.100 humble
00:41:16.440 very
00:41:16.740 down
00:41:17.060 to
00:41:17.200 earth
00:41:17.440 which
00:41:17.680 is
00:41:18.360 unusual
00:41:19.220 for
00:41:19.900 a
00:41:20.120 pastor
00:41:20.440 at
00:41:20.560 a
00:41:20.640 big
00:41:20.780 church
00:41:21.120 but
00:41:21.480 he
00:41:21.740 did
00:41:22.000 an
00:41:22.160 extended
00:41:22.680 sermon
00:41:23.160 series
00:41:23.600 on
00:41:23.760 the
00:41:23.860 book
00:41:24.000 of
00:41:24.120 Revelation
00:41:24.560 that
00:41:25.380 was
00:41:25.580 just
00:41:26.080 fascinating
00:41:26.900 and
00:41:27.820 having
00:41:28.260 as a
00:41:29.200 kid
00:41:29.460 listen
00:41:29.820 to
00:41:30.000 one
00:41:30.180 I
00:41:30.280 didn't
00:41:30.420 remember
00:41:30.640 what
00:41:31.080 the
00:41:33.040 pastor
00:41:33.380 said
00:41:33.720 40
00:41:34.140 years
00:41:34.420 ago
00:41:34.680 but
00:41:34.840 it
00:41:34.920 was
00:41:35.540 the
00:41:37.280 book
00:41:37.580 of
00:41:37.720 Revelation
00:41:38.280 is
00:41:39.320 challenging
00:41:41.080 it's
00:41:41.660 fascinating
00:41:42.380 and
00:41:43.800 there's
00:41:44.080 so
00:41:44.300 much
00:41:44.600 imagery
00:41:45.160 that
00:41:45.580 you
00:41:46.440 know
00:41:46.760 things
00:41:47.880 could
00:41:48.140 have
00:41:48.400 all
00:41:48.620 kinds
00:41:49.040 of
00:41:49.220 meanings
00:41:49.540 and
00:41:49.880 I
00:41:50.640 certainly
00:41:51.020 don't
00:41:51.340 purport
00:41:51.700 to
00:41:51.920 know
00:41:52.280 which
00:41:53.580 interpretation
00:41:54.160 is
00:41:54.660 right
00:41:55.040 as
00:41:55.400 to
00:41:55.880 what
00:41:57.940 all
00:41:58.200 is
00:41:58.360 going
00:41:58.520 to
00:41:58.660 happen
00:41:58.920 in
00:41:59.060 the
00:41:59.180 end
00:41:59.360 times
00:41:59.720 and
00:41:59.940 when
00:42:00.980 it's
00:42:01.180 going
00:42:01.280 to
00:42:01.360 start
00:42:01.600 before
00:42:02.240 we
00:42:02.460 go
00:42:02.660 one
00:42:02.960 last
00:42:03.260 question
00:42:03.680 this
00:42:03.840 is
00:42:03.960 from
00:42:04.300 our
00:42:05.100 very
00:42:05.340 own
00:42:05.560 cactus
00:42:05.980 masks
00:42:07.800 are
00:42:08.300 coming
00:42:08.520 back
00:42:08.740 to
00:42:08.860 our
00:42:09.000 school
00:42:09.300 we've
00:42:09.780 been
00:42:09.920 told
00:42:10.200 it's
00:42:10.500 because
00:42:10.700 COVID
00:42:11.040 is
00:42:11.280 getting
00:42:12.260 bad
00:42:12.560 again
00:42:12.860 but
00:42:13.380 to
00:42:13.560 me
00:42:13.820 it
00:42:14.060 seems
00:42:14.380 like
00:42:14.720 just
00:42:14.980 a
00:42:15.120 way
00:42:15.220 to
00:42:15.360 gin
00:42:15.560 up
00:42:15.700 anxiety
00:42:16.160 for
00:42:16.360 the
00:42:16.480 midterms
00:42:16.940 and
00:42:17.380 distract
00:42:17.660 from
00:42:17.880 Biden's
00:42:18.240 bad
00:42:18.440 policy
00:42:18.940 what
00:42:19.400 are
00:42:19.500 y'all's
00:42:19.840 thoughts
00:42:20.160 is
00:42:20.460 manipulating
00:42:21.000 COVID
00:42:21.360 fear
00:42:21.700 the
00:42:22.160 only
00:42:22.440 way
00:42:22.660 for
00:42:22.780 the
00:42:22.940 Dems
00:42:23.280 to
00:42:23.440 stave
00:42:23.780 off
00:42:24.100 the
00:42:24.920 red
00:42:25.160 wave
00:42:25.540 oh
00:42:27.120 look I
00:42:27.440 think
00:42:27.620 it's
00:42:33.680 but
00:42:34.440 the
00:42:35.660 issue
00:42:36.240 set
00:42:36.700 they
00:42:36.940 don't
00:42:37.320 want
00:42:37.540 the
00:42:37.700 election
00:42:38.060 to
00:42:38.260 be
00:42:38.380 about
00:42:38.800 is
00:42:40.020 inflation
00:42:40.500 gas
00:42:40.980 prices
00:42:41.420 crime
00:42:41.920 and
00:42:42.060 illegal
00:42:42.340 immigration
00:42:42.820 if
00:42:43.440 that's
00:42:43.780 what
00:42:43.920 the
00:42:44.060 election
00:42:44.380 is
00:42:44.620 about
00:42:45.060 Republicans
00:42:46.800 are
00:42:47.080 winning
00:42:47.380 50 to
00:42:47.880 70
00:42:48.160 seats
00:42:48.500 in the
00:42:48.740 House
00:42:49.060 we're
00:42:49.280 taking
00:42:49.560 the
00:42:49.760 Senate
00:42:49.940 with
00:42:50.120 a
00:42:50.220 big
00:42:50.360 majority
00:42:50.840 and
00:42:51.220 it
00:42:51.380 is
00:42:51.660 a
00:42:52.040 absolute
00:42:53.480 Democrat
00:42:53.960 bloodbatter
00:42:54.760 and so
00:42:55.100 they're
00:42:55.340 desperate
00:42:55.620 to change
00:42:56.080 the
00:42:56.220 topic
00:42:56.480 to
00:42:56.660 anything
00:42:57.080 COVID
00:42:57.880 has
00:42:58.100 been
00:42:58.240 a
00:42:58.360 good
00:42:58.520 reliable
00:42:59.000 one
00:42:59.500 so
00:42:59.700 we'll
00:42:59.900 see
00:43:00.300 if
00:43:00.580 they
00:43:00.840 have
00:43:01.040 any
00:43:01.240 hook
00:43:01.440 to
00:43:01.620 do
00:43:01.780 it
00:43:01.920 they'll
00:43:02.100 try
00:43:02.480 but
00:43:04.660 and I
00:43:06.900 think
00:43:07.060 masks
00:43:07.440 are part
00:43:07.840 of it
00:43:08.120 I also
00:43:08.700 think
00:43:09.040 most
00:43:09.400 Americans
00:43:09.860 are just
00:43:10.660 done
00:43:12.120 with
00:43:12.380 masks
00:43:12.860 I'm
00:43:13.580 like
00:43:13.900 I'm
00:43:14.220 certainly
00:43:14.540 there
00:43:14.900 but
00:43:15.200 although
00:43:17.140 I will
00:43:17.480 say
00:43:17.740 it was
00:43:18.020 thoroughly
00:43:18.320 amusing
00:43:18.800 so
00:43:19.300 last
00:43:19.760 week
00:43:21.480 several
00:43:22.960 Democrats
00:43:23.700 including
00:43:24.200 Chuck
00:43:24.500 Schumer
00:43:24.840 were out
00:43:25.660 because
00:43:25.920 they
00:43:26.200 tested
00:43:26.840 positive
00:43:27.260 for
00:43:27.460 COVID
00:43:27.680 I
00:43:29.880 don't
00:43:30.040 know
00:43:30.180 if
00:43:30.300 they were
00:43:30.500 symptomatic
00:43:30.960 or not
00:43:31.480 but
00:43:32.540 I
00:43:32.680 do
00:43:32.900 think
00:43:33.320 that
00:43:33.620 Democrats
00:43:34.540 are
00:43:34.920 testing
00:43:35.400 much
00:43:35.760 more
00:43:36.000 frequently
00:43:36.400 when
00:43:36.600 they're
00:43:36.740 asymptomatic
00:43:37.460 than
00:43:37.800 Republicans
00:43:38.360 are
00:43:38.800 and
00:43:39.740 I've
00:43:40.180 joked
00:43:40.420 I want
00:43:40.740 to
00:43:40.840 introduce
00:43:41.340 a
00:43:41.620 resolution
00:43:42.140 mandating
00:43:42.880 that
00:43:43.100 Democratic
00:43:43.560 senators
00:43:44.000 must
00:43:44.300 take
00:43:44.520 COVID
00:43:44.820 tests
00:43:45.240 every
00:43:45.660 day
00:43:46.160 because
00:43:47.500 I
00:43:47.740 for
00:43:47.880 one
00:43:48.060 don't

00:44:02.840 I

00:44:04.300 in fact
00:44:04.780 twice
00:44:05.060 a day
00:44:05.300 would

00:44:08.580 I
00:44:08.700 think
00:44:08.860 Democrats
00:44:09.300 should

00:44:14.420 is
00:44:14.620 their
00:44:14.760 masks
00:44:15.020 aren't
00:44:15.240 tight
00:44:15.480 enough
00:44:15.760 because
00:44:15.920 we

00:44:16.420 hear
00:44:16.560 them
00:44:16.720 talking
00:44:17.080 that's

00:44:17.880 you
00:44:18.000 make
00:44:18.220 a
00:44:18.340 great
