00:00:00.000 We'll be right back.
00:00:30.000 This campaign I've ever taken part in in my entire life. I think everybody's pretty much
00:00:41.340 exhausted with this, but I'm sure we're all pretty pumped up anticipating whatever the
00:00:46.700 heck the results are going to be. People keep asking me what I think they're going to be.
00:00:50.000 I'm being cagey with my predictions because to be honest, I don't really know. I have
00:00:54.480 to admit sometimes I don't know. And we're just hoping, I guess, for the best. I'm going
00:00:59.660 to talk uh well probably a lot of alberta things today you know be sure you use the comment scroll
00:01:04.100 there guys chat with each other send comments my way things like that just keep things civil we
00:01:08.280 don't have to be like the other guys and uh you know let's have a good show here i've got uh
00:01:14.640 mike thomas coming on we're going to talk a bit about some municipal stuff because yeah calgary
00:01:19.160 city hall it's been interesting i know it's getting overshadowed with all the insanity going
00:01:23.620 on with the provincial and federal stuff but we tend to forget things and it's been a year now
00:01:29.000 Well, almost since we've replaced Gondek and the others,
00:01:33.580 and we've got what appears to be a shrunken, bleached version of Nahed Nenshi in the new mayor.
00:01:40.400 And I don't know what's happened with him.
00:01:41.900 Perhaps Mike can shed some light on that as we're looking at more woke activities,
00:01:45.120 protection of bike lanes, fights with Edmonton, and massive tax increases coming.
00:01:50.440 It just seems the more things change, the more they remain the same in City Hall.
00:01:53.560 So I'm looking forward to Mike coming to talk about that and things in general in there.
00:01:56.960 But yeah, let's get on to what's happening. The advanced voting for the referendum. It's begun, and Albertans have a chance to send the strongest message they ever had to Ottawa by choosing Option 2 on question number 10.
00:02:10.680 Now, there's two motivations people can have for choosing Option 2, and neither of them are wrong.
00:02:14.760 Dedicated supporters of full Alberta independence from the Federation, like me, are choosing Option 2 as a step toward creating an independent country of Alberta.
00:02:22.700 Many others, though, are choosing option two to send kind of a final warning shot to Ottawa
00:02:26.720 that if the status quo doesn't change, they're going to be seeking independence as well.
00:02:30.740 Defenders of maintaining the status quo understand that a growing number of citizens
00:02:34.400 are considering option two as a means of sending a message or garnering leverage from Ottawa.
00:02:38.840 I mean, Jason Kenney's been almost hysteric in trying to make the case
00:02:41.580 that a vote for option two would lead to a catastrophic outcome for Alberta.
00:02:45.300 Others, like Debra Yedlin of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce,
00:02:47.740 claim that the process of holding a referendum alone would cause damage to Alberta.
00:02:51.280 But then that's the same Deborah Yedlin who said that vaccine passports were going to be good for local restaurants.
00:02:56.280 Economically, actually, Alberta's growing.
00:02:58.360 The referendum campaign's been active for almost five months, and none of the predicted doom and gloom has come.
00:03:02.780 People aren't fleeing.
00:03:03.940 In fact, people are moving to Alberta at a faster rate within Canada than any other province.
00:03:08.020 Alberta reported job growth in the tens of thousands in September, while the rest of Canada lost 68,000 jobs.
00:03:14.580 High oil prices, yeah, they've helped the province, but they aren't responsible for the job growth.
00:03:18.660 Capital investment in multiple industries has been spiking.
00:03:21.620 On the political front, let's face it,
00:03:24.000 Alberta's seen more love from Ottawa in the last year than it's seen in a generation.
00:03:27.420 It seems hardly a week goes by without a federal minister announcing a new grant
00:03:31.140 for housing, military, or transportation infrastructure in Alberta.
00:03:35.040 Well, we've seen more visits from Prime Minister Carney in a scant few months
00:03:38.820 than we saw from his predecessor in years.
00:03:41.120 Now, not everybody will see an increased presence of Liberals in the province is a plus, of course,
00:03:44.880 but the sudden turning of the tides is sort of welcome.
00:03:49.260 On the pipeline front, after a decade of being blocked,
00:03:51.560 the notion of a new pipeline to the West Coast has suddenly been declared a project of national interest.
00:03:56.780 I don't see a nationalized pipeline as a win, but it does reflect a change in attitude from Ottawa all the same.
00:04:03.380 I also doubt the construction of the pipeline will ever break ground, much less reach tidewater,
00:04:08.120 but some people believe it will happen, though, and the clock will now be ticking for Mr. Carney.
00:04:12.360 The optimists thinking Carney is genuine will be more than disappointed if the project fails.
00:04:17.160 Voting for option two offers encouragement for the Prime Minister to follow through on that one.
00:04:21.560 Federal Liberals tend to see tooth extractions as being more appealing than spending time in Alberta.
00:04:26.580 They would much rather dedicate their time to campaigning within the Laurentian region where they're broadly loved and welcomed.
00:04:32.120 The fact that they're dedicating so much attention and time to Alberta is solely due to this pending referendum.
00:04:37.760 It's undeniable that the process has garnered leverage for Alberta within the Federation.
00:04:41.680 A strong showing for option two in the referendum ensures that leverage continues to be in play.
00:04:47.100 The path to full independence is a convoluted one, and the October 19th referendum is only a step in that direction.
00:04:53.040 It isn't a commitment.
00:04:54.460 If option two side wins, those who choose it have plenty of time before the next vote to determine if they want to choose independence or not.
00:05:02.780 It would put Ottawa on notice that something systemic must change if it wants to avoid a growing independence movement.
00:05:09.360 Not more announcements, not more policies, real, lasting change to the system.
00:05:14.060 Choosing option two in the ballot is the right choice whether a person is a full independent supporter
00:05:17.820 or if they're just nearing the end of their rope with Ottawa.
00:05:20.260 Choosing option one, that sends a message to Ottawa as well.
00:05:23.520 It tells the establishment that the status quo is acceptable
00:05:25.820 and Alberta is ready for another round of abuse within the federation.
00:05:29.640 Alberta has a generational opportunity to change the status of the province within the federation this October.
00:05:34.400 That opportunity is only going to be fruitful though.
00:05:36.560 We choose option two on question 10.
00:05:38.860 So, yeah, if anybody was wondering if I would beat around the bush with where I stand on things,
00:05:42.760 I support option two.
00:05:44.400 How's it going, Dave?
00:05:44.940 I'm shocked. Option two, you said it.
00:05:46.500 Yeah, I know. It really came out of the blue, didn't it?
00:05:48.220 Holy cow.
00:05:50.000 Don't like your chances.
00:05:52.580 You know, people can ask for predictions and so on.
00:05:54.760 I think it's a long shot to get over 50.
00:05:56.960 I'll be honest with it, but, I mean, it depends on the voter turnout.
00:05:59.580 A lot of people are in the closet on this sort of thing.
00:06:01.880 Yeah.
00:06:02.260 And we'll see.
00:06:03.440 I think it's a long shot to get over 30.
00:06:05.680 Well, again, we'll see.
00:06:07.140 I guess we'll see it.
00:06:08.520 We're gathering about, what, 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning to go through the results?
00:06:13.240 Yeah, that'll be fun.
00:06:14.060 That'll be fun. 0.84
00:06:14.720 Breakfast on dairy.
00:06:16.220 Anyways, you were talking about the increased economic movement in Alberta,
00:06:20.180 and we've got a story reflecting that today.
00:06:22.320 The Alberta Treasury Branch's Cormac Capital Markets survey is out today,
00:06:28.040 and it shows 90% of businesses in the oil and gas industry
00:06:32.020 say they're going to do better than they did last year.
00:06:35.060 So there is optimism in the patch.
00:06:36.700 For what it's worth
00:06:39.260 Interesting story out of Cologne, Germany
00:06:42.400 In which police have arrested a robot
00:06:44.420 For sexual assault
00:06:46.560 I saw that
00:06:48.420 Apparently it's like
00:06:50.340 You can get these robots for 5,000 euros
00:06:52.820 And it was just a couple of teenage kids
00:06:54.940 Who were controlling it
00:06:55.900 And went into a group of girls 0.97
00:06:58.280 And grabbed some bums and stuff like that 0.99
00:07:00.820 And the cops pounced 0.93
00:07:02.340 And put the robot in cuffs
00:07:04.220 I responded to that one on X actually
00:07:05.840 Quote tweeted and just said, if the robot had yelled at Ahu Ackbar, the police would have left it alone.
00:07:09.600 Exactly, exactly.
00:07:11.500 We've got three Canadian Armed Forces soldiers charged in Toronto today with kidnapping and stealing weapons from the armory.
00:07:21.940 Not a good look for the military there. 0.97
00:07:24.420 We've got a scumbag Montreal father sentenced to life in jail in New York State. 0.99
00:07:30.480 He took his daughter, I think they were involved in a custody dispute. 1.00
00:07:33.520 That was a vile case.
00:07:34.360 vile case a nine-year-old girl he murdered her and hit her body and then told police that that
00:07:40.780 she'd been kidnapped by a couple of men in a white van and they they soon cracked that one and i'm
00:07:46.900 glad he's serving justice in the states and not canada just about to say the same thing up here
00:07:50.860 he'd be out in a few more years to do it again do it all again uh we're having some fun with the
00:07:56.580 globe and mail who uh outrageously yesterday called the the trans man who was involved in
00:08:03.280 tumblr ridge shooting he was sort of the the organizer down in the states the globe called
00:08:07.680 him a woman and they've continued to uh to call the the trans male shooter at tumblr ridge a woman too
00:08:14.640 so our alex zoltan is uh taking them to a task on that uh the wacky hoodies in the desert are
00:08:21.760 getting better with their missiles last night they blew up the headquarters of saudi aramco
00:08:26.720 in Riyadh, it caused a large explosion.
00:08:31.680 Another one you commented on on Twitter,
00:08:34.120 a survey by the Alberta Medical Association
00:08:36.540 showing a majority of Alberta doctors
00:08:39.200 would leave the province if it became independent.
00:08:42.860 And you, Corey Morgan, do not buy it.
00:08:44.440 No, I don't. 0.99
00:08:45.480 Look, that's performative crap. 0.99
00:08:46.820 We hear that all over the place. 0.99
00:08:47.840 If people don't like American tactics,
00:08:49.700 well, there's one going, guys.
00:08:51.020 I mean, how many lefties in the state say,
00:08:52.320 that's it, if Trump gets in again, we're out of here.
00:08:54.420 How many actually left?
00:08:55.720 A handful.
00:08:56.980 People will say that to a poll, fair enough, and maybe a few will leave.
00:09:00.640 But come on, half of the doctors, I just find it extremely hard to believe.
00:09:04.360 But it's the Project Fear.
00:09:05.920 We expect that.
00:09:06.480 Everything's going to be bad.
00:09:07.560 It's going to rain frogs.
00:09:08.500 We're all going to get hemorrhoids.
00:09:09.820 Everything's going to go bad if we vote option two.
00:09:12.060 There was some fun in Etobicoke when the cruiser roof arrived to remove a local bike line.
00:09:18.160 It was part of the Doug Fords getting rid of all the bike lines for cars in Ontario.
00:09:22.460 on protesters actually sent the construction workers on their way uh so it'll be a fun and
00:09:27.940 games in the next couple days and uh i'd like to take this opportunity cory to uh thank you for
00:09:34.500 all your years of calling working together i plan on retiring on monday
00:09:39.760 after i win the lotto max biggest jackpot in history on friday 90 million dollars i'll be
00:09:48.900 out of here so fast. Well, you'll order us a pizza or something. Well, I'll increase the
00:09:54.240 quality of the breakfast on Tuesday morning as I sleep in. There we go. Don't clean out the
00:10:01.020 desk quite yet, but I wish you the best on that one. I appreciate that, man. All right. I'll invest
00:10:05.760 in some of your honey. Well, you don't need to win a lottery to invest in that. I've got cheap
00:10:10.480 honey, actually. Oh, okay. I was thinking of expansion. Oh, well. More hives. True enough,
00:10:15.380 Yeah, because I barely managed the ones I got.
00:10:18.280 All right.
00:10:18.860 All right, that's it.
00:10:19.760 That's all.
00:10:20.340 Well, thank you, and I'll see you in the pipeline.
00:10:22.360 See you in the pipeline.
00:10:23.380 So there we go.
00:10:24.040 But folks, our soon-to-be millionaire and soon-to-be former news editor Dave Naylor
00:10:29.280 offering quite a list of stuff going on.
00:10:32.080 I mean, there's never a shortage of stuff to cover,
00:10:33.980 and we've got a great crew of reporters out there all over Canada covering this stuff,
00:10:39.260 getting those stories up there.
00:10:41.060 And this is where I like to nag and remind all of you guys the reason Dave can do this
00:10:45.000 and all those guys, Alex Zoltan and Allison and all the rest out there, 0.88
00:10:48.480 is because you guys have been subscribing.
00:10:50.340 And right now there is no paywall.
00:10:51.520 You can get in and see that content without spending any money whatsoever.
00:10:56.940 You can check out what we've got until the 20th without shelling out.
00:11:00.920 And then after that, yeah, there'll be a subscription.
00:11:02.960 But we're talking $10 a month, $100 a year, guys.
00:11:05.420 I mean, come on.
00:11:06.400 It's just like an old newspaper subscription.
00:11:07.840 So those who have subscribed already, and that's why we've been expanding and doing so well,
00:11:10.820 thank you very much.
00:11:11.500 We're always appreciative of it.
00:11:13.420 And if you haven't subscribed yet, come on, guys, get on board.
00:11:16.340 Take one out, westernstandard.news slash subscription.
00:11:19.740 As I said, if you've already got a subscription, look at the Christmas season's coming up.
00:11:22.880 You've got that liberal aunt, that liberal uncle.
00:11:25.280 Get a subscription on their behalf.
00:11:26.780 They'll be thrilled, I promise you.
00:11:28.060 And you can talk about it over Christmas dinner.
00:11:30.340 All right.
00:11:30.980 Well, let's see what we got a couple other things to come up with.
00:11:33.280 Yes, today's the day, I guess, just the closest I'll come to public service type announcements.
00:11:37.540 So I've been watching the reports from the advanced polling stations.
00:11:41.460 And honestly, whatever side you're on, if you're looking to get out on these advanced polls and vote, put some time aside for yourself.
00:11:49.460 It sounds like some of the lineups have been pretty big.
00:11:51.520 Bring a water bottle.
00:11:52.600 Bring a chair, maybe, if you can't stand for long periods.
00:11:55.760 It's very important for everybody to vote.
00:11:57.540 You know which side I want you to vote on, but honestly, I do appreciate democracy no matter where you're going with it.
00:12:03.380 Just be prepared.
00:12:04.460 It sounds like it's going to be a long sit in some of these places to get it in.
00:12:08.300 And I suggest getting the advanced ones done, though, because it's probably going to be a zoo on Monday.
00:12:14.600 Let's see here.
00:12:16.200 So I'll go to B.C. quickly, just because, holy cow, Alex Zolton is doing a fantastic job out there,
00:12:22.860 covering one of the most bizarre political areas in the world, I think, especially in the conservative front.
00:12:28.260 But the NDP is no better.
00:12:30.040 David Eby, you've probably already heard it, the Premier, with a household income of probably over $500,000.
00:12:36.620 This is true NDP right to the core.
00:12:40.580 It turns out his kids are getting $10 a day daycare.
00:12:43.800 One of the only 1 in 10 people in BC can manage to qualify to get their kids in for that.
00:12:49.100 And guess what? Some pigs are more equal than others. 0.98
00:12:52.040 The NDP leader has his kids getting $10 a day daycare, 0.96
00:12:55.560 while I presume the waitress who's struggling and scraping to get by has to pay full rate 0.78
00:13:00.380 because she's not one of the 1 in 10 who get in there.
00:13:03.060 It reminds me very much of the late Jack Layton and his wife, Olivia Chow,
00:13:07.540 while they were living in subsidized housing while sitting as Toronto City councillors,
00:13:12.660 making high, high income.
00:13:14.540 Guys, if you want to learn what socialism's about, look at the ones on the top.
00:13:18.400 It'll show you every time.
00:13:19.560 I mean, yes, I understand.
00:13:20.960 In capitalism, you'll see some pretty rich folks really enjoying a life of excess,
00:13:26.160 but guess what? Then it's voluntary.
00:13:27.520 People bought their products. 0.99
00:13:29.200 With socialism, you've got to pay these jerks whether you like it or not. 0.99
00:13:32.500 it comes out of your pocket all right either way i'll turn away from that and on to you know 0.99
00:13:37.260 something easy local calgary politics oh man and it's being as i said earlier overshadowed
00:13:44.340 with all this stuff with the referendum going on and everything but we're coming up on a big budget
00:13:49.040 year we've got a new city council that looks just so damn much like the last city council
00:13:54.280 and uh we've got mike thomas here who's been covering it because it's just not covered enough
00:13:59.720 I really appreciate the stories you've been writing, Mike, and you're coming in to talk about it today.
00:14:03.460 Well, my pleasure, Corey.
00:14:04.640 And talking about the referendum, I voted yesterday in the Beltline here in Calgary,
00:14:10.900 and I got there about quarter after nine, and the place, there was no lineup for me.
00:14:19.460 And I want to say this mostly, Elections Alberta did a fine job, I'll tell you.
00:14:25.960 It was slick.
00:14:27.940 Walked in, got my ballots right away, got the ID I looked after,
00:14:33.260 turned around, the stations were all full.
00:14:38.240 One guy walks out, I go in, do my ballots,
00:14:41.040 and I'm in and out of there in maybe 10 minutes.
00:14:45.400 That's good.
00:14:46.140 I mean, that's what I mean.
00:14:46.780 I've been hearing mixed things.
00:14:47.740 Some people have given me.
00:14:48.520 Yeah, I was looking at that, and there's big lineups,
00:14:50.980 and I think probably the bigger lineups would be in the smaller centers
00:14:55.240 because there wouldn't be as many polling stations.
00:14:57.860 Yeah, you're jamming more in.
00:14:59.280 I mean, part of my worry with this is, again, 0.67
00:15:01.060 there's some paranoid people thinking Elections Alberta is going to break it or crap like that.
00:15:04.140 I'm just worried about them getting overwhelmed with just such a broad number of things to be voted on
00:15:08.880 and they're short-staffed and things like that.
00:15:10.800 Well, there was a lot of people in this polling booth, a lot of workers, I mean.
00:15:17.720 And like I say, it went smooth. It was really good.
00:15:20.660 Good. So it was about a year ago now, close to it, I think.
00:15:24.620 went to the polls and brought in a new mayor and a lot of new councillors and uh what happened i i
00:15:31.500 just uh it just sounds like the the reports you're writing just sound just like every other council
00:15:35.980 well i don't know um i wrote something a while ago that they uh you know they came in basically
00:15:43.820 we had a brand new council 10 of the of the 14 were brand new and so they didn't really
00:15:50.940 know exactly how things worked yet i mean they go through training but still to get onto the
00:15:57.880 battlefield and actually have to do that it's it's a different thing um i think that the bear's paw
00:16:04.120 thing uh in december was a gift uh part particularly to farkas um because that's not a political thing
00:16:12.540 by any stretch um it was maintenance it's it's common sense repairs and stuff like that and
00:16:18.720 I'll give the mayor a salute because he was front and center with the whole thing.
00:16:27.540 He was working strange hours, but he's keeping people informed of what's going on.
00:16:33.740 So that was the good Jeremy.
00:16:37.700 Since then, I don't know.
00:16:39.760 His tantrum with Daniel Smith and Williams last week, I was like, what is wrong with you?
00:16:46.920 Well, that's it.
00:16:47.860 I mean, I've been kind of mixed on some of these things.
00:16:50.580 I'm not big on the province coming in on municipal jurisdiction.
00:16:54.300 I understand that municipalities are basically a creature of the provincial government.
00:16:59.980 So there is the authority there.
00:17:01.340 But I prefer to leave it to voters to deal with things locally rather than the provincial government.
00:17:06.440 Well, I agree.
00:17:07.420 But also, this is a particular case that goes back, I think, before this new council,
00:17:13.960 the old council that approved blanket zoning.
00:17:17.860 which they also did in Edmonton, so they did it here, they did it in Edmonton,
00:17:22.020 well, across the country they did it.
00:17:24.400 And this deal with Calgary, the city council at that time,
00:17:29.940 there were 700 people showed up at the public hearing.
00:17:33.280 86% of them said, don't do this, and they went ahead and did it anyway.
00:17:38.680 Okay.
00:17:38.900 Now, since then, Daniel Smith has said to Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary,
00:17:45.960 uh and to carney if you're going to approach the people in the municipalities you come to me first
00:17:55.080 so um because this this whole thing about zoning and the money that they came in with
00:18:02.520 uh the the politicians local politicians couldn't say no to that calgary got
00:18:07.920 251 million dollars edmonton got 220 million dollars uh and that money went towards all kinds
00:18:17.920 of uh things that you build in a city from bike lanes to to pipes underground uh and it was
00:18:25.520 supposed to pay for a lot of new housing affordable housing um so i think i think that was daniel's way
00:18:33.480 of telling knick-knack and paddywhack here
00:18:38.360 that if the feds come to you,
00:18:41.960 you come to me first.
00:18:44.060 I'm guessing at that,
00:18:45.180 but it just seems to me
00:18:46.300 that that's the progression
00:18:47.740 that she's gone through
00:18:48.760 with that whole thing.
00:18:50.500 And it should have been that way
00:18:52.100 in the first place
00:18:52.820 because it really screwed up
00:18:54.320 a lot of things here.
00:18:56.980 It screwed up a lot of things in Edmonton
00:18:58.640 in terms of building
00:19:00.080 those great big castles
00:19:01.520 beside little single-family homes.
00:19:05.100 And they aren't affordable.
00:19:06.460 Not affordable.
00:19:07.000 I just get so upset, too, when they keep framing that,
00:19:09.000 oh, we've got to allow this,
00:19:10.100 disifying these inner-city neighborhoods.
00:19:12.200 Well, you take a $500,000 house and you tear it down
00:19:15.340 and you stick in two $800,000 infills.
00:19:17.800 I don't see how anybody's getting more affordable.
00:19:19.280 No, but it's interesting during the public hearing repeal
00:19:23.300 because, again, all the people are going, yes, repeal it,
00:19:29.360 no, don't repeal it.
00:19:30.500 And all the people who didn't want it repealed were from affordable housing societies.
00:19:35.780 I mean they do good work, but that's not the place for them.
00:19:39.040 But they're getting up there and talking about, oh, no, we're going to lose all this affordable housing.
00:19:42.820 And it's like you said.
00:19:45.260 None of that housing that came out of that is affordable.
00:19:49.500 And if you look at the contract that Calgary had or still has with the government, they had targets they had to hit in terms of what they called missing middle.
00:19:59.240 so that's townhouses and row houses, that they hit this many, this is your target for this or that, and we'll give you more money.
00:20:08.680 But in the contract, and I'm doing this by memory, and I'm really old now, so I don't know if it still works,
00:20:14.380 but the affordable housing target in the contract with Calgary wasn't 2,000 units.
00:20:27.140 But the other target for missing middle housing was, oh, geez, like $30,000, which Calgary and Edmonton both beat big time.
00:20:41.000 They got lucky because all those people came from Toronto and Vancouver because they could sell their houses there and buy two here.
00:20:47.900 um and so it uh the whole thing was just a schmozzle uh a bureaucratic math i call it it
00:20:58.080 doesn't add up well it's ideologically driven yes totally degree rather than need and i mean
00:21:03.500 we've got the room to grow out i know they despise that they call it sprawl they demonize it but
00:21:09.320 it tends to be if you look at the affordable cities in north america they're the ones that
00:21:14.160 It's allowed outward growth, not the ones that try to force it in.
00:21:16.460 Well, Calgary is really good.
00:21:18.080 I mean, the planning committee meeting this morning, I was watching that,
00:21:21.920 and they're approving or developers for big developments up in the northwest
00:21:28.160 that are right adjacent to newer communities, but they're developed.
00:21:34.640 And you look at the housing that they're putting in there,
00:21:38.440 and it runs the whole gamut of housing that they're putting in there.
00:21:44.160 And so the council, getting back to our new council, they, I think, have gotten their legs, as it were,
00:21:55.000 and a lot of them talk just to hear themselves talk, which is normal.
00:21:59.820 But the big one coming up is the budget.
00:22:05.480 Yeah, well, that kind of – I had to laugh at the irony of it.
00:22:09.940 It was the new councillor, Landon, who went and spilled out some stuff that, you know, was preliminary and so on.
00:22:16.760 And Jeremy Farkas was livid on him breaking confidentiality.
00:22:21.300 And again, all I can think of is maybe six years ago with Ned Nenshi with his eyes bugging out in fury
00:22:26.700 because Jeremy Farkas was exposing things from inside what he used to call the Chamber of Secrets.
00:22:33.420 The mayor certainly changed a lot in the last six years.
00:22:36.580 Yeah, well, again, I think he went through the water main braking and rubber, rubber.
00:22:44.860 Everybody loved him because he was busy looking good, and now all of a sudden he's just turned hard left.
00:22:52.600 Well, that's it.
00:22:53.320 I mean, Jeremy, this is where I have difficulty.
00:22:55.980 I've known Jeremy for quite a while.
00:22:57.780 Yep.
00:22:58.060 Very smart, very hardworking guy, and a good person.
00:23:01.120 I really do believe he's genuinely decent, but, man, like, did he hit his head while he was hiking?
00:23:05.720 I mean, I understand people's views shifting over time.
00:23:08.960 You grow, you evolve, you go into new roles.
00:23:10.840 But we're talking a sea change.
00:23:12.860 I mean, he's gone full woke.
00:23:14.540 I know.
00:23:15.300 He likes to call himself Jeremy Pathfinder, Marcus.
00:23:18.580 But now he's Jeremy War Pathfinder.
00:23:22.440 But the budget talks coming up are going to be vicious.
00:23:28.760 For me, anyway, the whole budgeting process in Calgary is just ass backwards.
00:23:35.720 I mean, would you, sitting down at a family dinner, looking around the table at all the kids and say, how much allowance would you like?
00:23:45.480 You'd find it out afterwards.
00:23:46.980 Dad, what do you got?
00:23:48.760 But basically, that's what they're doing down there.
00:23:50.900 They go to all the different departments and say, okay, come back and tell us what you want. 0.87
00:23:55.300 And, I mean, this whole thing about the 20.2% thing was never going to happen.
00:24:00.720 But that's what it would have cost if administration got everything they asked for.
00:24:06.260 It's the wish list.
00:24:07.240 Wish list.
00:24:08.980 But so nobody else does it that way.
00:24:13.080 We don't go to Derek or Derek doesn't come to us and say, how much would you like to get paid?
00:24:18.340 Well, Derek, it should be the other way around.
00:24:23.100 The city council should say, okay, inflation is 3%.
00:24:30.400 An average last year was 3% or whatever the heck it was.
00:24:34.340 So you go to all the departments and go, you can increase your budget by 3% plus 1% maybe.
00:24:43.480 But that's it.
00:24:45.000 So make it work.
00:24:47.240 And don't come back with anything more than that percentage increase based on inflation,
00:24:51.920 which is what all of us have to deal with.
00:24:55.000 But they don't do it that way.
00:24:56.320 They just send out a note and go, what do you want?
00:24:58.720 How many people do you need to hire?
00:25:00.400 Any more new pipes?
00:25:01.580 What do you need?
00:25:02.560 Well, that's been a long, ongoing thing, too, though,
00:25:04.780 is there's been kind of an administration tail wagging the city council dog,
00:25:09.360 and I'd really had high hopes with the new council.
00:25:11.600 And, again, Jeremy Farkas, who used to rail against that,
00:25:14.640 thinking, okay, somebody's going to come in,
00:25:16.100 and you don't want to go to battle with the city administration if you can avoid it,
00:25:19.520 but at least put some of them in their place.
00:25:20.960 Look, you're accountable to us, and this relationship has to come that way, and I'm not seeing it.
00:25:28.800 Well, I was watching it this morning, the Planning Commission, and a lot of the counselors, and I'm not going to point a finger at any of them.
00:25:36.760 I could just talk about them as a group, but they're still asking questions of administration that they should know the answers to these questions.
00:25:45.500 So from that point of view, administration owns them.
00:25:49.440 So I don't know.
00:25:51.700 Is it wrong?
00:25:52.780 Yeah.
00:25:53.240 Should the city council have a bit more power over administration?
00:25:59.160 Maybe.
00:26:00.220 But administration are the true workers.
00:26:03.240 You don't want them micromanaging either.
00:26:04.660 Exactly.
00:26:05.280 Yes, I understand.
00:26:06.600 There's supposed to be high-level oversight not getting right in.
00:26:09.360 Back when they used to approve basement suites one by one,
00:26:12.120 that was an example of getting a little too deep into it.
00:26:16.540 So with this budget, though, when does the real deliberation get rolling on that?
00:26:20.240 I expect it will be some fireworks.
00:26:21.900 I think they start deliberations November 3rd or something like that, somewhere in there.
00:26:29.780 And it will go about probably the whole month of November, and there will be a whole lot of closed-door meetings.
00:26:37.160 And administration calls the shots on those, I should say, to add.
00:26:40.260 that they go in behind closed doors at the recommendation of administration.
00:26:47.540 We still don't know what the parameters are.
00:26:50.820 And I think that's one thing that the mayor should do is go,
00:26:54.080 here are the Calgarians, here are the parameters for us going into meetings,
00:27:00.020 and here's why we do it.
00:27:02.100 That would clear it up.
00:27:03.740 People would go, oh, yeah, okay.
00:27:05.040 Give us a good reason.
00:27:06.760 That's a secret.
00:27:07.800 That's fine.
00:27:08.340 Do that.
00:27:08.860 But they don't do that.
00:27:09.800 All they do is go, okay, we're going behind our back doors now.
00:27:13.560 And Landon just went, enough of this.
00:27:17.240 Yeah, and it doesn't add for trust or unity on there.
00:27:21.220 So getting back to some jurisdictional stuff, I mean, I just saw the scene,
00:27:24.800 and we were seeing parallels in Ontario with Doug Ford got in on the bike lanes.
00:27:28.760 Bike lanes, and speaking of ideological symbolism, in every city,
00:27:32.560 I mean, they just want to mash these things in, whether there's a need or whether there's not. 0.82
00:27:35.520 And now it looks like Devin Dreeshan might be stepping in.
00:27:41.680 Yes, he is.
00:27:42.400 Jeremy's getting ready for a fight there.
00:27:43.060 No, he's coming.
00:27:43.800 He's coming.
00:27:44.240 And Dan McClain, the Ward 13 counselor, put a notice of motion forward last week that's going to council next week that says halt all construction of bike lanes until we find out what Dreeshan's going to do.
00:28:01.560 Because he hasn't said yet, and we won't know until he tables it in the ledge.
00:28:07.280 But you look at what they're doing over here on 8th Street.
00:28:09.840 I walk by it every time I come down here.
00:28:11.600 Yeah, I figured that was the case.
00:28:13.940 So I did a little background on that for you.
00:28:17.600 There's 10,000 vehicles that go through that 8th Street northbound, and 11,000 per day that go southbound.
00:28:29.620 and they had
00:28:32.140 four lanes for all that traffic
00:28:34.400 they've now got two lanes
00:28:36.440 for all that traffic
00:28:37.840 and it's going to be the jams as they're funneling
00:28:39.840 because it's two lanes farther north
00:28:41.120 oh no no it's going to run
00:28:43.520 it's going all the way up to 17th Avenue
00:28:46.240 great
00:28:46.780 they've got a plan
00:28:49.880 for 8th Street to make it pretty
00:28:51.480 well they could pick up the feces
00:28:53.960 first
00:28:54.340 that could be helpful
00:28:55.580 but they're making the road
00:28:58.760 8th Street narrower
00:29:00.500 and they're putting bike lanes
00:29:02.500 all the way up to 17th Avenue
00:29:04.480 and they're
00:29:06.800 putting in outdoor patios
00:29:08.860 and rest stations for the pedestrians
00:29:10.700 walking up and down 8th Street. 0.96
00:29:13.440 It's ridiculous. 0.99
00:29:14.620 It's absolutely ridiculous. But that's the 0.97
00:29:16.500 wokeness, the DEI
00:29:18.880 of planners
00:29:20.580 who
00:29:22.320 don't live in the real world.
00:29:24.860 Well, the numbers, I mean, this
00:29:26.860 has been going on since i lived in calgary 15 years ago when they were just starting with
00:29:30.840 painted lanes to get and then while that wasn't enough now we need these tracks and if people
00:29:35.140 see what they've done on eighth and on each side this is a full-size automobile lane on each side
00:29:40.400 they're taking raised with pavement who knows what the bloody cost is gonna be i can tell you
00:29:45.440 okay yes there we go i should have said somebody does know uh eight street the underpass is 25 mil
00:29:52.280 um they're building a bike path on 26th avenue from 14th street to 37th street southwest
00:30:00.780 and that's going to come in around 75 million um in total uh the total amount of money
00:30:13.140 spent on bike lanes and this includes bike paths along the river and which i don't mind so much
00:30:20.680 No, there's no cars to get.
00:30:22.940 But it's somewhere around $100 million or more.
00:30:27.700 And that's ridiculous because people who don't use the bike lanes, you and me, are paying for it for property taxes.
00:30:35.320 Well, you're out of town.
00:30:36.660 But still, you get my point.
00:30:39.860 So $100 million would go a long way to fix the infrastructure in the city.
00:30:46.280 A lot of things that could go.
00:30:47.100 And they've gone with an if-we-build-it-they-will-come mentality for the last 15 years.
00:30:51.660 But they won't.
00:30:52.220 Back then, I remember those discussions, back when NGGI first got in and we started this,
00:30:56.220 it was about 1.8% of commuters in summer were riding bikes to work downtown.
00:31:01.440 And now, after all of this construction, all these years, all these bike lanes, it's the same number.
00:31:05.620 It's 1.8%.
00:31:06.380 There's always going to be a little set of spandex fetishists who will ride no matter what. 0.98
00:31:10.760 You know what? 1.00
00:31:11.080 Those guys will ride with or without lanes.
00:31:13.160 Nobody new is coming out.
00:31:14.540 Well, the city does, it's got a, for the 12th Avenue bike lane, which is the biggest one in the city, there's a counter just on west of 8th Street, apparently.
00:31:25.100 And over six years, they say there's been 950,000 bikes or whatever using the bike lane.
00:31:32.960 Shopping carts.
00:31:33.640 Shopping carts using the bike lane.
00:31:35.860 And I'm thinking, that sounds like way too many.
00:31:39.060 Because I look right down on 12th Avenue on the bike lane.
00:31:42.440 Yeah, they're pretty sparse.
00:31:44.080 It's not.
00:31:45.100 But to help pay for paving roads and cleaning snow off the roads, we get licenses, put them on our cars.
00:31:55.040 Okay?
00:31:55.700 That money goes for upkeep and stuff like that.
00:31:59.180 Gas tax, too.
00:31:59.960 Gas tax.
00:32:01.000 If you're going to ride a bike and you're going to use the bike lane, you should have to buy a license, $100 a year or whatever, and get insurance.
00:32:12.020 I've seen people get hit.
00:32:14.920 Bikers don't give pedestrians right away. 0.99
00:32:17.880 And if the lane's inconvenient, they ride the bloody sidewalk anyhow? 1.00
00:32:20.480 Yeah.
00:32:21.320 And so in order to use the bike lane, you should have a license from the city of Calgary,
00:32:26.800 and like I say, $50 a year, $100 a year, I don't care.
00:32:29.680 But all that money should go to pay for building bike lanes or improving them or repairing them.
00:32:36.560 Nothing else.
00:32:37.660 Nowhere else.
00:32:38.820 because now you've got a kitty.
00:32:42.420 You know exactly how much money you've got to spend on bike lanes
00:32:45.800 because you've sold this many licenses,
00:32:47.980 and away you go and don't touch any other money.
00:32:50.760 They'd probably build them in better spots then, too.
00:32:52.700 They'd actually look at it and say,
00:32:53.720 well, we've only got this much.
00:32:54.780 Where do we really need them?
00:32:55.960 Well, you know, they put bike lanes on 15th Avenue in the Beltline last year
00:33:01.000 from 11th Street all the way to, I think they got to McLeod Trail.
00:33:05.220 purely all residential
00:33:07.760 and all the people
00:33:09.300 15th Avenue is nothing more
00:33:12.840 than multi-family homes
00:33:13.940 large apartment buildings
00:33:15.140 there's a seniors home there
00:33:17.260 but the bike lane
00:33:19.500 blocked off
00:33:21.240 there's no parking on the street anymore
00:33:23.320 and the bike lane they built
00:33:25.120 got in the way of any ambulance
00:33:27.480 coming into the seniors home
00:33:28.940 if they needed an ambulance
00:33:30.400 and they do
00:33:31.160 but they couldn't get in there
00:33:33.220 So they had to get trolley people down, bring them out to the street, and load them in the ambulance. 1.00
00:33:38.940 It's just stupid. 0.99
00:33:40.000 That's the first one that Dreesen's going to go after, I think. 1.00
00:33:42.860 Well, that's the thing to look forward to, I guess.
00:33:45.220 Toronto, I mean, these guys, again, they're fanatical.
00:33:47.460 They're out protesting.
00:33:48.500 They're rallying.
00:33:49.300 But I'm just going to have to stand up.
00:33:50.880 It's too damn bad, you guys.
00:33:52.340 Well, if you look at the – Toronto's a good example.
00:33:54.620 I don't know if everybody's familiar with that, with the one they're ripping up.
00:33:58.920 But it's in a high-traffic area.
00:34:00.540 Yeah, blur and something.
00:34:03.620 Yeah, blur and – but anyway, major route, and it was just screwing up traffic and messing up the commercial.
00:34:12.380 There's no parking, and people just went, shoo, get rid of them, and so Ford went, yep, done.
00:34:16.600 But they're not ripping up all of them.
00:34:18.660 No.
00:34:19.260 It's the ones that are going to break the rules, and like I say, we haven't seen Driessen's plan yet.
00:34:26.900 We'll see it when he tails it.
00:34:28.300 So I suspect it's going to be a lot like what Ford did.
00:34:32.160 Well, I'm kind of looking forward to the fight, I've got to admit,
00:34:34.940 but it's unfortunate it has to be had.
00:34:37.680 Before I let you go, what do we got to look forward to?
00:34:40.280 I mean, I know you've got lots to cover.
00:34:41.700 I think maybe some eyes will turn more municipal once this referendum thing is behind us
00:34:45.560 because there's a lot of important stuff happening.
00:34:47.240 Well, you know, the referendum owns everything between now and middle of November.
00:34:55.000 There's not a whole lot coming up on city council.
00:34:57.560 that's uh there's some regular business budget in november is going to be uh worth watching
00:35:04.560 and from a political point of view that's about it in the city uh but yeah the budget thing that's
00:35:12.520 that gets people's attention i hope people watch and as i said it's been a bit frustrating i mean
00:35:17.740 yes i live just outside of the city but i've always watched it closely i really had high hopes
00:35:22.480 thinking i understand there's going to be a transitional period but wow we haven't seen a
00:35:25.620 a good sweeping of, you know, as you said,
00:35:27.800 town of 14 of them out, new mayor.
00:35:29.880 Boy, we're going to see some new initiative and changes.
00:35:32.780 It was kind of like, here's the election last year
00:35:36.240 and getting into December and January, February, March.
00:35:44.140 And they just turned back into a whole bunch of talking heads.
00:35:48.040 And like you said earlier, when we started,
00:35:51.180 they're looking more and more like the last city council.
00:35:53.460 So, well, we'll see what happens.
00:35:55.700 Maybe they could be the last city council.
00:35:58.160 That might be what it comes to.
00:35:59.860 Oh, Lord.
00:36:01.160 That's better. 0.99
00:36:01.780 Well, I thank you for constantly keeping an eye on that gong show 0.99
00:36:04.600 because it's not the easiest thing to watch.
00:36:06.040 But it's so important.
00:36:06.880 I mean, we really overlook our local government terribly,
00:36:09.520 rural and in the urban areas.
00:36:11.960 So I appreciate the coverage of keeping an eye on it.
00:36:14.780 My pleasure.
00:36:15.400 And putting it up there for us.
00:36:16.100 Okay.
00:36:16.480 All right.
00:36:16.960 Thanks, Corey.
00:36:17.520 Good to see you in here again, Mike.
00:36:18.040 Take care.
00:36:19.540 All right, guys.
00:36:20.300 So, yeah, be sure.
00:36:21.080 Again, like I said, the paywall's down.
00:36:22.860 check it out go to westernstandard.news look up mike thomas's stories is you know media has
00:36:28.640 changed there's not as much coverage down there as there used to be it's hard to find it and mike's
00:36:33.000 keeping an eye on it for you i mean it used to be you'd go into city chambers and you'd see a whole
00:36:38.020 pile of reporters just filling that thing because they're watching everything their resources just
00:36:41.960 aren't there for it i mean this is the place to get it this is where you're gonna find it so you
00:36:46.820 know get on there because hey how often do we see that in politics when something comes along a
00:36:52.400 policy change a massive tax increase all of that and some people i didn't see that coming i didn't
00:36:56.820 know it was happening well actually you know people were reporting on it you just weren't
00:37:01.220 listening so uh you know it's good again to support this local media i know we're sounding
00:37:06.520 self-serving with all that but it's the truth uh so we can keep reporting on these things or they
00:37:11.000 get away with more and it's just so maddening that they just don't seem to change i don't know what
00:37:16.540 it takes how often do we have to fire them i think that's it's a long-term thing and it's i don't know
00:37:22.620 you know it sounds frustrating whether it'll ever work but i think if this bunch is no good i think
00:37:26.620 calgary citizens should fire 10 out of 14 of them again next election and if those guys turn the
00:37:31.920 same just keep doing it eventually you're gonna have to find some councillor some group some mayor
00:37:36.000 who says you know what i want to be in longer than four years and maybe i'll actually do something i
00:37:40.980 don't know maybe i'm just wishful thinking so this one i want to get on to this is a case in in bc
00:37:49.420 and we're hearing it so often now this guy has got 274 premium previous criminal convictions
00:37:59.080 81 of which were violent he's just this guy's right out of his skull he's he's dangerous you
00:38:05.660 know this isn't a shoplifter this isn't a pickpocket this guy is dangerous uh his last
00:38:12.700 conviction he's been released of course he's out and about that's why he's making the news
00:38:16.740 what do you think the chances are he's going to be arrested again uh he he was at a coffee shop
00:38:23.920 and they tried to eject him and he started throwing chairs around assaulting people stripped
00:38:28.240 off his clothes uh took a dump on the floor and started smearing it all over the walls this is a
00:38:34.120 guy who's just out of control, out of his head. He should not be in public. Bottom line is he
00:38:38.860 should not be loose. Maybe it's no fault of his own. You know, some wires got crossed while he
00:38:44.540 was in the womb. He's just not in his right state of mind, obviously. But I don't care.
00:38:52.300 I don't care. He puts the public at risk. That's the problem. Quit releasing him. What does it
00:38:59.480 take 81 violent convictions there's going to be more i mean he hasn't gotten better but
00:39:09.020 but just to put the cherry on top though of course as we listen to the defense lawyers
00:39:15.120 what pops up with them says the court has heard that ty is recognized and victimized as a
00:39:21.200 transgender person ah yes they're playing the trans card here we go he's trans and i mean 0.65
00:39:29.340 you look at the dude and you see the pictures of him no it's a man it's just another one finding 0.99
00:39:34.100 this is the latest thing to latch on to to make an excuse for your horrific dangerous behavior
00:39:39.000 as dave mentioned one of the worst crimes we've seen in alberta in in modern history the murder
00:39:47.380 of all those children and teachers up in tumbler ridge by a trans man who we now found out was 0.59
00:39:53.840 supported by a man down in the united states quit calling them she hers these guys are bearded five 0.99
00:39:59.100 o'clock shadow people with balls. They're men. Sick of it. Say it like it is. So I've been looking 0.94
00:40:05.760 at this Czech news story that's writing about it. And it talks to some people that interviewed on
00:40:12.980 it. And they inserted, you know, like square brackets around all of the statements during
00:40:20.320 the statement, the quotes, because the people they were interviewing were saying he, and they
00:40:24.420 replaced it all with she because this bearded disturbed violent person now claims he's trans
00:40:32.560 so this person needs to be in some sort of complex care or jail this person they're interviewing it
00:40:37.440 seems for the rest of and then this brackets her life she and it's bracketed is a time bomb that's
00:40:43.660 ticking it's only a matter of time she before she does something again no you're now what you are
00:40:48.920 doing as media, you're actually just misquoting. This person
00:40:52.840 said he, because it is a he. Let's get 0.97
00:40:56.880 into reality again. There's a couple of realities that have
00:41:00.960 to be faced with this, too. Two very big ones. As I said, one is that
00:41:04.860 this person, for whatever reason, is extremely disturbed, extremely dangerous,
00:41:09.240 and should not be released in society. Not ever. We can't
00:41:13.100 fix somebody like that. Maybe if the wonder cure comes along, you found
00:41:17.140 an injection that will rewire this person's brain and make them normal again fine until then though
00:41:22.580 they have to stay behind bars for the sake of the rest of the world i'm not talking punitive wise i'm 0.88
00:41:28.080 just saying reality 81 violent convictions and the other part is don't pretend this is a woman
00:41:34.820 don't pretend this is somebody who's trans there are trans people there are people who really have
00:41:40.140 been dedicated to trying to change their gender as hard as they can try surgically clothing aspects 0.62
00:41:48.020 This is just a guy trying to get a lighter sentence. 0.85
00:41:51.320 And let's call it out when we do.
00:41:53.400 And it's lazy, slothful behavior on the part of media with these guys putting all that she in there with every person they interview regarding this thing.
00:42:01.560 It just underscores that this guy, by the way, if you keep playing that game, you keep pretending this man, this dangerous man, this violent man is a woman,
00:42:10.200 he will end up in a woman's facility and probably roughly assault an innocent woman in there
00:42:17.460 let's get real i don't know what on earth it takes as i've said many a time before
00:42:24.280 canada is broken injustice is one of the areas where it's strongly broken and we start mixing 0.95
00:42:29.180 trans on top of what's already a screwed up rotten justice system with some of the most violent 0.98
00:42:34.120 people getting released all the time i mean what we had a child murderer out for cooking lessons 0.99
00:42:38.880 in British Columbia, yeah, we let him out
00:42:41.240 because he wants to take cooking lessons.
00:42:43.360 What the hell kind of country are we living in?
00:42:47.100 You know, 0.54
00:42:48.580 I don't want to see a world
00:42:51.900 where we're constantly incarcerating people.
00:42:53.680 I do believe that we should always try rehabilitation
00:42:55.600 with people. It's the best outcome
00:42:57.160 when there's a criminal person.
00:42:59.160 You want to have them
00:43:01.120 find themselves,
00:43:03.440 become functional in society, become
00:43:05.080 working, paying taxes, not stealing
00:43:07.040 from their neighbors and when we have the opportunity to do that we should pursue but
00:43:12.320 once in a while you gotta write them off once in a while they're beyond reform once in a while it's
00:43:18.680 too violent the risk is just too high you have to put the rights of the rest of society ahead
00:43:26.440 of the rights of the offender and we don't do that you know and and look at the cost this this guy
00:43:35.760 with 81 convictions i wonder how many he didn't get convicted for and that means there's 81 victims
00:43:41.620 of assault of violent crime and he's out again the people in nanaimo must be just counting the
00:43:49.340 minutes wondering if they're going to be the next one he assaults he just remember that it's a he
00:43:54.100 before he gets thrown in jail for another little while and then we let him out yet again
00:43:58.820 i think with some of these judges or some of these advocates should billet these people they
00:44:05.160 let out keep them in your house for a while they're that safe you think they're okay have them 0.88
00:44:09.460 babysit your children for a bit have them in as a nanny how will that work out for you have her
00:44:16.380 sorry right because this week it's a her come on enough enough uh finally as i kind of wrap up let's
00:44:26.060 see uh christia freeland's book is out i just want to give a quick poke on that uh you're real
00:44:32.180 shocking, I guess, in cabinet meetings and then the caucus meetings, there were cabinet ministers
00:44:36.260 crying and hugs and public scoldings. Excuse me, we're par for the course in Trudeau's
00:44:44.040 caucus meetings and cabinet meetings. You know, what kind of pisses me off with this isn't that
00:44:49.320 she's exposing it, of course not go ahead expose it. Why are you coming out now when your political
00:44:54.700 career is over? Why the hell didn't you speak up 10, five, whatever amount of years ago? Oh, yeah,
00:44:59.500 because you're in cabinet making big money so you just put up with it let him abuse women let him 1.00
00:45:03.320 abuse others and let this miserable thing continue you're a coward freeland you're just trying to 0.99
00:45:07.920 make money out of what you shut your trap about which you should have with good principle been 0.99
00:45:12.260 exposing years ago jody wilson raybold called out trudeau for what he was and of course yes
00:45:18.400 she got kicked out of cabinet for it same with philpot but you freeland no you sat there and
00:45:23.180 took it right to the bitter end and now you're coming out and saying oh by the way he was an 0.99
00:45:27.580 asshole glad you could share that with us now all right i'll leave it at that make sure to get out 0.98
00:45:32.840 and vote vote people this is the biggest of opportunity we'll ever have tune into the
00:45:36.220 pipeline tonight and uh subscribe like all that good stuff we'll see you next week to talk about
00:45:42.020 how that voting result came out thank you
00:45:57.580 We'll see you next time.
