Summary

A house has been discovered that has been excavated and turned into a house. The problem is, it's a lot of work to excavate and clean it up, and there are some serious dangers involved in doing so.

00:00:00.000 That's a house.
00:00:01.020 This is one of the most unique structures that we've encountered.
00:00:05.880 Lots of work put into that.
00:00:07.480 We were doing some resolutions up here along the funicular,
00:00:11.600 and our sheriff partners came across that hole,
00:00:14.780 which was covered up by a piece of steel,
00:00:16.820 and they just happened to move it out of the way
00:00:18.260 and discovered a cave that had been dug into here
00:00:21.580 and found an occupant inside the cave.
00:00:24.140 So he'd been living in here for a period of time.
00:00:26.480 It's vast. It goes in and further to the left.
00:00:28.660 So five feet down and five or six feet to the side.
00:00:33.500 We're back here today, and we've noticed that someone or something
00:00:36.780 has caused it to cave in.
00:00:38.380 Absolutely dangerous.
00:00:39.340 So that's the concern is, you know, trying to clean this area out
00:00:43.060 is how do you go in, how do you get out, how do you get stuff out of it,
00:00:46.060 and then the hazards that you're experiencing when you're down in that hole.
00:00:49.160 My recommendation would be to sort of cave the whole thing in
00:00:51.460 so that no one else makes an attempt at trying to excavate it out further.
00:00:58.660 Take care.
