00:00:00.000 He obviously shouldn't just go to it and take it seriously.
00:00:02.820 He should mock it.
00:00:03.780 Absolutely.
00:00:04.220 It is for the public good that he mocks it and he ridicules it, exposes it for what it is.
00:00:09.720 But here is the thing with everything that goes on around Jordan Peterson
00:00:15.440 and his fight with the College of Psychologists.
00:00:19.000 His fight is everybody's fight.
00:00:21.240 Because the colleges of the professions,
00:00:24.220 it doesn't matter whether you're talking about doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists,
00:00:28.160 real estate agents even, are all insisting on their members signing on to a particular world view.
00:00:38.720 Right here in Alberta, the Law Society has demanded that all members of the Alberta Bar
00:00:48.040 go through a course on indigenous affairs.
00:00:54.600 And there is a certain perspective that you are expected to show.
00:00:57.360 So if you don't do that, it's called the path.
00:01:00.880 It's called the path.
00:01:02.420 We've written on it.
00:01:03.360 I mean, there's a number of articles that have come out of this.
00:01:06.940 And Glenn Blackett was our original source on that.
00:01:10.020 And excellent material, which finally ended up in one of Ted Morton's books, by the way.
00:01:15.360 I don't know whether you knew that.
00:01:16.580 One of our, you know, his textbook quality is some of the stuff that's coming out in the Western Standard.
00:01:22.940 Anyway, point is, you lose your license if you don't fill in the dots.
00:01:30.900 And this is finding its way.
00:01:32.780 City Hall is rife with it.
00:01:35.400 Even institutions such as the ATB, Alberta Treasury Branch,
00:01:41.720 are asking their employees, telling their employees to go and take the course.
00:01:45.940 And what happens if you don't take the course?
00:01:47.420 Well, that remains to be seen because there haven't been too many test cases.
00:01:54.500 But probably it's going to be an issue.
00:01:57.660 And certainly if you look in the literature, you can find lawyers now talking about what could happen.
00:02:05.340 I'd have to pick up Levitt, who writes in the National Post.
00:02:11.140 And he just says, some employees may wonder, can my employer force me to attend these workshops?
00:02:17.000 What happens if I refuse?
00:02:18.560 Well, the answer to the first question is, they can't force you.
00:02:22.400 The second question, the answer to the second question,
00:02:25.520 is that actually an employer can terminate an employee for any reason,
00:02:28.840 if they give them enough severance.
00:02:30.480 And if you refuse the instruction to go to one of these things,
00:02:33.840 that might be cause and they wouldn't even have to pay severance.
00:02:36.200 It's like a vaccine mandate, in a way.
00:02:37.900 It's, you know, you don't have to take it, but if you don't take it, you're going to get crazy talk around here.
00:02:42.940 It immunizes you against conservatives.
00:02:45.120 Yeah.
00:02:45.880 Racism.
00:02:46.540 So, you know, the thing is, everybody gets scared.
00:02:50.220 They say, well, look what they did to Jordan Peterson.
00:02:51.800 I don't want that to happen to me.
00:02:53.580 So if they can pin this off him, on him, and make it stick,
00:02:57.500 and he actually loses his license to practice,
00:03:00.100 well, there's the test case, if the most effective, articulate exponent of the counterpoint of view gets axed,
00:03:10.160 well, what's going to happen to somebody who's just a regular psychologist, regular doctor, regular teacher,
00:03:17.120 regular anybody, who bucks the system?
00:03:21.180 Well, they get fired, just like Jordan Peterson.
00:03:23.520 Thank you.
