Transcript

00:00:00.000 All right, so we are here with Leslyn Lewis, who just wrapped up the debate.
00:00:03.620 Leslyn, what did you think of that?
00:00:05.140 That was very lively.
00:00:06.300 You had quite a showing.
00:00:07.480 You were very powerful in the way you spoke and almost attacked other candidates.
00:00:11.700 What was your strategy for tonight?
00:00:13.560 Well, I wouldn't use the word attack.
00:00:16.160 I'm very passionate about certain issues, and I want to know where the candidates stand
00:00:20.880 because my down-ballot votes, people want to know where the candidates stand.
00:00:24.940 So I was very assertive about ascertaining certain things, like what their policies are.
00:00:31.540 Yeah, that's fair enough.
00:00:33.460 At one point, we were discussing conspiracy theories,
00:00:38.200 and you said that a lot of conspiracy theories had come true.
00:00:41.280 What ones were you referring to over the past couple of years, I assume?
00:00:44.980 Well, over the past few years, people had thoughts about whether or not we would have a facility
00:00:51.480 to house people if they came in from the airport and where there would be quarantine facilities.
00:00:56.620 All of those things came true.
00:00:58.680 And so we have to start investigating when people have concerns,
00:01:04.320 when there are documents, real documents that highlight that certain things are going to take place,
00:01:10.380 the media still will call it a conspiracy theory.
00:01:13.440 Even the WHO World Pandemic Treaty, that is going to be signed in August.
00:01:18.360 And I had somebody from the media saying, well, that's a conspiracy, a global conspiracy.
00:01:23.460 It is not.
00:01:24.120 It is a real document that is going to be signed.
00:01:27.420 192 countries met on it.
00:01:29.520 And Canadians need to wake up and not be afraid of challenging their governments.
00:01:34.800 Our government is using the word conspiracy theory in order to quell,
00:01:40.440 in order to suppress debate.
00:01:43.620 Would you consider yourself to be a conspiracy theorist?
00:01:46.220 Would you use that label for yourself?
00:01:47.600 Well, I have a PhD, so I research, I look at data, I'm an intellectual.
00:01:54.720 And so somebody who's invested over a decade in higher education,
00:01:58.740 that doesn't fit in with their personality.
00:02:02.600 Yeah, for sure.
00:02:03.700 And vaccine passports, I recall, was one of those conspiracy theories that did end up coming true.
00:02:08.040 Now, you have chosen not to disclose your vaccine status,
00:02:10.660 but you were able to interact and go into Parliament and do all these things.
00:02:14.220 My question is, how were you able to do that if you wouldn't, you know, show your passport?
00:02:19.600 That's a good question.
00:02:20.400 I don't have a problem disclosing my vaccination status to a medical doctor, to a medical practitioner.
00:02:27.240 My problem is random people on the street asking me about my private medical situation.
00:02:33.420 That I will not disclose, because I don't believe it's anybody's business about my personal private medical situation,
00:02:41.480 whether I'm vaccinated or not.
00:02:43.000 But I will disclose to a competent health practitioner.
00:02:47.940 For sure, you've spoken quite a lot about the World Health Organization and the World Economic Forum.
00:02:53.400 Could you tell me a little bit about your concerns for these organizations
00:02:55.860 and what you think that they're trying to do with Canada when they're, you know,
00:03:00.200 penetrating the cabinet of the country and kind of altering its course, so to speak?
00:03:07.000 Well, for example, there's a program called Known Traveller Digital ID.
00:03:14.800 It is a pilot program that has been entered into by Justin Trudeau's, our government,
00:03:22.100 Government of the Netherlands, Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport, Toronto Pearson Airport, and Air Canada.
00:03:30.200 And that is to create a digital identity.
00:03:34.360 Canada is a country that is signed on to this agreement to create digital travel IDs for Canadians.
00:03:45.120 Nobody's talking about that.
00:03:46.920 And if you, even though the document is online, it's clear our country has entered into that,
00:03:53.180 it will be dismissed as a conspiracy theory until it goes through.
00:03:56.520 And it is going through.
00:03:57.540 And that's why we probably have the no travel mandates right now,
00:04:02.460 because we've entered into that program with the World Economic Forum.
00:04:07.260 The World Economic Forum is the sponsor of that Known Traveller Digital ID.
00:04:13.060 And I know that my colleagues have supported digital ID and digital currency, but I don't support that.
00:04:21.660 For sure.
00:04:22.520 Tonight, you pointed out that Pierre had not, as he said, immediately and at the beginning of the pandemic,
00:04:28.980 come out against lockdowns and these public health measures.
00:04:32.560 Do you sort of regret or do you wish that you had been more forceful in the beginning of the pandemic to speak out?
00:04:38.240 Or do you think that you were, you did speak out and you were saying enough in order to stop these things?
00:04:43.000 I spoke out so much, I don't, I didn't get a shadow cabinet position.
00:04:47.080 So I was very, very vocal about speaking out about these things.
00:04:52.460 I was very vocal about medical privacy.
00:04:55.520 I was vocal right at the beginning.
00:04:57.580 And I don't regret standing up for what I believe is right and standing up for Canadians.
00:05:05.900 For sure.
00:05:06.880 Switching to the Ukraine and Russia crisis.
00:05:09.180 When we spoke on the phone last, you said that you were going to give more consideration to the,
00:05:13.600 what was happening, the developing situation and come out with a more concrete plan about what you think Canada should do in response.
00:05:19.380 Have you given that any more thoughts?
00:05:20.380 And do you have more ideas of how we should respond that we're not doing right now?
00:05:23.960 Well, it's very concerning that we haven't developed our natural resources,
00:05:28.820 that we cannot offset that 40% dependency that Europe has on, on Russian oil.
00:05:36.240 It's very concerning that we share our Arctic border with Russia and that we don't have the capacity to defend it.
00:05:43.200 Russia has 40 submarines with torpedoes on it.
00:05:46.760 We have zero.
00:05:48.420 And so we have not invested in our military.
00:05:51.460 And it's very disconcerting that we cannot do more for the Ukraine.
00:05:55.780 I think that we should be able to supply more supplies, whether they are humanitarian aid or whether they're military aid.
00:06:07.700 But we cannot do that because we are in a vulnerable military position because we have been underfunded by the Justin Trudeau government.
00:06:15.840 Absolutely. And last question, really quick here.
00:06:18.720 Are there issues that you would like to see discussed in the next debate that we didn't get a lot of airtime this time around?
00:06:25.120 Oh, there are so many issues that we have to discuss.
00:06:28.300 Our economy, our global interaction with global organizations like the WHO, like the WEF, who are imposing on our sovereignty.
00:06:39.320 Those are real issues that we cannot discuss as conspiracies anymore because there's documentation to show that these things are happening.
00:06:49.840 For sure. Well, Leslyn, thank you very much for taking the time to speak with us. Always a pleasure.
00:06:53.100 Always a pleasure.
00:06:54.180 Thank you.
