In order to protect the Prime Minister, the Liberals shut down a hearing that had the Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in the room to answer questions from the public, the committee voted to adjourn the hearing before it even got under way.
00:00:32.000They're very proud to cover up the corruption of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
00:00:39.000And so when we have the Commissioner of the RCMP here to answer questions,
00:00:45.000and we have the cover-up coalition do what they do,
00:00:48.000and they adjourn the meeting before the Commissioner even read his statement.
00:00:52.000And so I can tell you that we came here to work.
00:00:55.000A meeting notice was given, and they are walking out of the room.
00:01:00.000They're running with their tail between their legs because they're trying to protect a Prime Minister who refused to release information that the RCMP had requested,
00:01:18.000Now the purpose of Cabinet Confidence, of course, is so that ministers are free to discuss decisions,
00:01:26.000and the details of the discussions aren't released to the media.
00:01:29.000But what they've used the Cabinet Confidence provisions for in this case is to conceal information from the RCMP to prevent them from being able to fully investigate the obstruction of justice charges that they were looking at at the time.
00:01:53.000And so it's shocking to find ourselves in a room where, just moments ago, these Liberals shut down the hearing.
00:02:04.000And so we had the Commissioner of the RCMP, he was right there just a moment ago.
00:02:10.000And that's what transparency and accountability looks like after eight years of Justin Trudeau.
00:02:19.000I can tell you, for our democratic institutions, this Prime Minister is just not worth the cost, and we're going to have more to say about this.
