00:00:00.000 The heroes that protect our country and go to Veterans Affairs to get the
00:00:04.560 services to which they are entitled. This government is now racking up in an
00:00:10.620 embarrassing and shameful record of having recommended medical assistance
00:00:15.240 in dying. At least, at least a half a dozen veterans now report that they have
00:00:20.880 been advised that medical assistance in dying might be the best solution for
00:00:25.560 them. Can the Prime Minister, having had time now, tell us exactly how many
00:00:30.000 veterans have been recommended that their lives come to an end?
00:00:33.240 This is from the Prime Minister who said that veterans are asking for more than he can give.
00:00:37.740 This is from the Prime Minister. Is this the first Prime Minister who's ever presided
00:00:41.940 over a Veterans Affairs Department that recommends that the heroes who
00:00:47.220 served our country should get medical assistance in dying instead of being
00:00:51.180 given a good life, the one that they have earned? One soldier, one former
00:00:55.300 soldier, current veteran, actually said the policy is triple D, delay, deny and dead
00:01:00.940 veterans. Mr. Speaker, the question is very specific. How many, how many veterans have
00:01:06.880 been given the recommendation that they should go to medical assistance in dying?
00:01:10.240 The number, please.
