Summary

Justin Trudeau wants to take guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, the elderly, and the disabled. This is a ridiculous policy that will do nothing to stop street crime and will only make it worse. He is trying to scare the majority and divide the country. It is the oldest trick in politics, divide and conquer.

00:00:00.000 I have a question. I've spoken to many people who don't own guns about the new liberal policies and just to see it from another or hear it from another perspective and 99% of the time the answer I get is well that doesn't make any sense. Why are they going to take your guns away?
00:00:23.160 My question is, does the liberal government actually believe that they are going to make a difference or do they have another motive? Is there something else that they're not telling us because everybody knows that what they're proposing is going to have zero effect on street crime.
00:00:43.520 Including them.
00:00:44.880 Exactly.
00:00:45.400 Justin Trudeau knows that this, he has to know that this is a ridiculous policy designed for Hollywood. He has to know that the people in this room are not shooting up downtown Toronto.
00:00:59.220 And he doesn't care because what he's trying to do is make people afraid. This is what he does. He tries to scare the majority against a minority.
00:01:07.620 He did this during the pandemic. He's doing it now. He wants to say to you, if you're a suburban person who's never seen a gun except in a Hollywood movie, you might be afraid of all the crime that's out there because violent crime out is up 32% since he became prime minister.
00:01:25.720 So he's going to go after the hunters and the recreational and professional sport shooters to give people a false sense that he's taking action for their safety.
00:01:40.360 He knows or ought to know that this will have no effect whatsoever. These types of policies have only led to higher crime rates as we've seen.
00:01:47.060 But he wants to scare people and divide the country. It's the oldest trick in politics. Divide and conquer, right? Divide the population and then conquer power.
00:01:58.860 That is what has worked for him in multiple elections and that is why he's pursuing this policy right now.
00:02:04.560 And the second reason is that he, you know, for the NDP liberal ideology, someone who goes out and lives off the land, hunts, takes care of their family, has a sense of independence and self-reliance separate from government.
00:02:21.680 And that's exactly the opposite of the socialist ideology that Trudeau and the NDP so embrace. They can't stand the thought of that.
00:02:30.600 And so they're against the rural way of life. It's contrary to their ideology. And they want everybody to be dependent on the state for everything because that makes them more powerful.
00:02:42.460 So my view is we have to stop divide and conquer. Instead, unite for our country. Stop demonizing people and spreading fear to gain power.
00:02:54.660 Instead, show respect and finally restore some common sense in this country by going after the real, repeat, violent offenders who are back out on the street again and again and again after they've been captured doing these violent crimes.
00:03:08.840 As we do that, we secure our borders against smuggling. We can defeat gun crime and let you continue your traditions and your responsible recreation. And that's what I'm going to make happen when I'm Prime Minister.
