00:00:00.000 A lot of people happy to dance on Justin Trudeau's, the grave of his relationship,
00:00:03.800 but at the same time, people should temper it with a little.
00:00:06.540 Yeah, absolutely.
00:00:07.640 As you say, this is a family.
00:00:09.260 A lot of people have been through it.
00:00:11.620 I certainly have, and it leaves the emotional scars, and kids can be cruel.
00:00:16.300 Corey, let's not forget, kids can be cruel, and when the Trudeau kids go back to school
00:00:21.120 in September, they're going to face a ton of trouble.
00:00:24.220 So, yeah, remember the kids.
00:00:26.020 Yeah, indeed.
00:00:26.720 You know, in the general confession, I too, I'm a divorced man.
00:00:32.780 There's very little that I can say that I would, you know, I can't condemn the man.
00:00:41.280 There are, it is one of the disappointing things that looking at some of the comments
00:00:45.560 on the, that we get, a lot of people, how do I put it,
00:00:55.140 without offending our readership.
00:00:58.380 Sometimes, you know, what happens in a person's family,
00:01:03.120 there's really nobody, anybody, anybody else's business.
00:01:05.980 There is nothing here to take pleasure from.
00:01:09.100 We will criticize Mr. Trudeau for his policies.
00:01:12.660 We will criticize him for the many hypocrisies that he has demonstrated in his public life
00:01:19.640 and that private life that came before it.
00:01:22.260 But on the matter of his marriage, I just wish him and Sophie and the kids, I wish them well.
00:01:28.100 And the parallel was sort of drawn, though.
00:01:30.320 I mean, just of note, the last time a sitting prime minister actually experienced a divorce
00:01:34.220 while in office was Pierre Trudeau, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's father, of course,
00:01:39.580 back in 77.
00:01:41.640 But his, I believe it was, was the walk in the snow that same year?
00:01:46.020 Yes.
00:01:46.760 Later that year, 78, I think the divorce was finalized and the walk in the snow was later that year.
00:01:53.280 You can't at the same time.
00:01:54.420 I mean, we could still be dignified and not dig into the reasoning and such,
00:01:57.380 but we could also discuss it does impact the mindset and possibly the choices of a prime minister.
00:02:04.980 I mean, that could have been part of what influenced Pierre Trudeau when he made his mind up.
00:02:09.500 And Justin Trudeau is having a tough time in government right now with this stacked on top of it.
00:02:14.680 It may influence his career choices in the next few months.
00:02:19.420 Yeah, it could go either way.
00:02:20.540 It could go either way, I think.
00:02:21.560 It could say, okay, now I'm going to focus on this instead of that and focus on battling Polyev.
00:02:28.040 Or, yeah, you're right, he could just do what his dad did and say,
00:02:30.900 that's enough for me and I'm out of here.
00:02:35.660 It's just a factor that's happening.
00:02:37.880 Again, we can't ignore that it's happening, but at the same time,
00:02:40.340 you know, it's speculating on the causes of the personal affairs or such as really not.
00:02:45.280 I just think we have really been restrained about how we talk about it.
00:02:52.740 When you have something of that magnitude on your mind,
00:02:57.720 it's got to affect your on-the-job performance.
00:03:00.380 If that's what you're saying, I would agree with you.
00:03:02.120 Or even he might, as Dave said, it might improve his performance.
00:03:05.780 He might focus different people, react differently, and stress.
00:03:07.960 But I'd say it might affect some of his personal decisions, perhaps,
00:03:11.740 and how long he's going to stay as a prime minister
00:03:13.460 or possibly move along and see about different good choices.
00:03:17.880 So, let's go ahead and see what's going on in the next couple of days.
00:03:22.660 So, let's go ahead and see what's going on in the next couple of days.
