In this episode, we talk about the damage caused by the carbon tax, the media mess, and why we should all be mad at the government for making us pay for it. We also talk about why we have to pay for the government to do what they tell us they're going to do.

00:00:00.000 boy, they're hitting us on all fronts. It's just a never-ending battle. This government
00:00:06.060 has no interest in trying to do better. It's not interested in trying to come up with nuanced
00:00:11.180 policies or actually solve problems. They just want to control and tax. And then tax is the
00:00:17.320 hammer they love to use to achieve the first thing. But of course, it irreparably, I should
00:00:22.700 say irreparably, things recover, but it damages the economy. It damages people. And then with
00:00:26.980 this media mess, yes, it's damaging trust. If nobody trusts what the media puts out there,
00:00:31.960 they won't tune in. I mean, we're accountable to you. If I kept feeding you a bunch of BS on this
00:00:38.360 show and kept lying to you, or just putting out shaky things, or if Dave was doing so with the 0.98
00:00:45.240 news copy, things like that, our subscribers are going to say, I'm not paying to get this garbage 0.98
00:00:50.000 fed to me. They will leave. We're accountable to them that way. And that's the only way you can do 0.96
00:00:56.400 it. But when you force everybody, you force the whole country to contribute and put money in,
00:01:02.860 then there's no accountability whatsoever. So they can feed you whatever they please.
00:01:07.080 And I mean, as we said, some of them might be very honest goods, journalists and stories. But once
00:01:11.400 the trust's lost, they all get labeled as the parasites taking subsidies and things such as 0.93
00:01:16.360 that. So everybody's losing here. Everybody's losing. And that's the final part of every story 0.82
00:01:22.180 we keep talking about with these things, whether it's the carbon tax, whether it's these media
00:01:24.860 ballots, they aren't working, they're doing what they told us they were going to do in
00:01:28.760 the first place. So why do we keep doing it? All right.
