00:17:00.000 Thank you.

00:17:30.000 good morning everyone

00:17:39.300 well we can't start nobody said good morning are you guys awake good morning everyone

00:17:46.300 good morning fellow conservatives how are you feeling today

00:17:54.820 amazing if it was any indication from how well attended the hospitality suites were last night

00:18:05.380 you guys had fun and thank you so much again for being here today you should be feeling

00:18:12.220 not just good as my colleague often says you should be feeling great who's feeling great today

00:18:19.660 this crowd this energy i have never seen anything like it thank you so much for coming and making

00:18:33.040 this possible this is a very very good day in uh red deer it's a great day it is a great day

00:18:45.000 We're here today, 6,000 strong, at this awesome, record-scended, unprecedented gathering of Alberta Conservatives.

00:19:00.180 Because our United Conservative Party is the right party with the right plan at the right time, at this very important time.

00:19:11.340 The UCP is the only party fighting to make life more affordable for Alberta families, to protect our freedom and prosperity in this blessed land.

00:19:26.380 We're the only party embracing the Alberta advantage to create opportunity for ourselves and for our children.

00:19:35.960 And we're the only party willing to stand up to the worst Prime Minister in all of Canadian history.

00:19:49.420 Justin Trudeau and his incompetent and hostile Liberal government in Ottawa.

00:19:59.740 And why is that?

00:20:01.660 It's because our party loves this province.

00:20:11.660 And we also cherish the values that make it the best in Canada.

00:20:16.660 A commitment to freedom, a respect for hard work,

00:20:20.660 and a determination to make life better for generations to come.

00:20:25.660 We can do this, and we are doing it.

00:20:31.660 It's now what we've been waiting for, our privilege to draw your attention to the screen,

00:20:39.820 to introduce an individual who is intelligent and capable, an individual with great ability

00:20:47.980 and capacity, who is leading Alberta to more freedom and prosperity, our UCP leader, Danielle

00:20:56.900 she didn't stand up when energy east pulled the plug she didn't stand up when they brought in a 0.99

00:21:07.440 tanker van off the west coast for our product and she didn't stand up when the no more pipelines 1.00

00:21:12.380 bill was passed what we want to do is make sure that we're finding more opportunities for our

00:21:16.960 products having bitumen be used more for asphalt so it reduces the amount of emissions having lng

00:21:22.680 export, which creates a brand new stream of income for us. We know that as long as we keep

00:21:27.380 our energy industry strong, we're going to keep Alberta's economy strong. Ms. Notley won't do 1.00

00:21:31.680 that. I will. The UCP will hold on to power in Alberta. The United Conservative government

00:21:42.160 will remain in government. Global News is projecting the United Conservative Party

00:21:48.260 will form the next government and it will be a majority the united conservative party emerged

00:21:53.700 victorious winning a second majority thank you my dear friends thank you so much

00:22:00.280 well to paraphrase our dear friend ralph klein welcome to another miracle on the prairies

00:22:08.800 many folks uh wrote us off even just as recently as last month but you know what happened

00:22:17.340 Despite it all, today Albertans chose to move our province forward by re-electing a strong, stable, united, conservative majority government.

00:22:47.340 Today our government is introducing three pieces of legislation that will set up guardrails

00:23:10.440 to protect the health and safety of Alberta youth.

00:23:12.920 In an ever-evolving world, we must be vigilant to ensure the rights and freedoms of Albertans continue to be protected.

00:23:19.560 That's why today I'm announcing the proposed amendments that, if passed, would strengthen the Alberta Bill of Rights and ensure our province remains one of the freest societies in the world.

00:23:29.620 The chief was pleased to report that since we started this in mid-January, no one has died in an encampment in Edmonton.

00:23:36.980 That's what conservative policy looks like.

00:23:42.920 and rewrite the pages freedom's contagious yeah that's truth

00:23:49.000 cause you can't rope the wild out of a mustang

00:23:53.240 you can't die like a two freight train

00:23:57.600 or you can't take the wind out of a hurricane

00:24:01.800 till it's done

00:24:03.460 so baby let your heart lose

00:24:08.240 Stream it if you want to, ride it like you're chasing the sun.

00:24:14.700 So today, this is no longer just talk in Alberta.

00:24:18.200 Today, we are taking back more of our jurisdictional control

00:24:21.560 and telling Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet

00:24:24.280 that they cannot make deals without our express approval.

00:24:27.260 Why create a police force that nobody wants?

00:24:31.880 We invented the sheriffs in Edmonton, I can tell you.

00:24:34.540 Calvary said, where's our sheriffs?

00:24:35.940 And that is something that we ran on, Mr. Speaker, because we don't believe in defunding the police like the members of us.

00:24:41.240 And you can't take the wind out of a hurricane till it's done.

00:24:49.320 So baby, let your heart loose, dream it if you want to.

00:24:55.000 Ride it like you're chasing the sun.

00:24:58.580 Thank you all for that. May our province remain forever strong and free.

00:25:05.940 Thank you.

00:25:35.940 Wow. What a sight this is. You know, I've always wondered what 6,000 passionate conservative

00:25:47.560 Albertans in one room, well, actually two rooms, would sound like, and I got my wish today. Are

00:25:52.620 you excited to be here? What a movement we've created together. What a province we are building

00:26:03.580 together in this room is the very heartbeat of the strong free independent west the bedrock on which

00:26:12.700 the conservative movement in canada is built and when alberta conservatives are united when we are

00:26:19.900 unapologetically govern governing as freedom loving free market law and order conservatives

00:26:26.380 the entire center of political gravity in our country pulls in that direction.

00:26:37.340 We are seeing the rise of common sense, conservative policies and principles gaining

00:26:41.900 traction and momentum right across the country. We are seeing it in the rebirth and breakthrough

00:26:48.620 of the Provincial Conservative Party and John Rustad in our western neighbor in British Columbia.

00:26:56.380 We are seeing it in the recent re-election of our great ally, Premier Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party to our East.

00:27:08.920 We are seeing it in the six of ten provincial governments governed by Conservative Premiers.

00:27:14.300 And we are seeing it as we count down every single day to the next federal election,

00:27:20.200 when we will finally get our own Alberta-born and race Pierre Polyev elected

00:27:23.780 as the next great Conservative Prime Minister of Canada.

00:27:31.100 I am so grateful for our amazing province and its people,

00:27:34.900 including all of you, in this gigantic hall today.

00:27:38.620 I have so much hope and high expectations for our province's immediate and long-term future.

00:27:44.400 Our potential is truly limitless.

00:27:46.680 Alberta is and will continue to be that shining city on the hill

00:27:49.900 that our country and the world looks to as a land of unbridled opportunity strength and freedom

00:27:56.460 we are a job creating economic juggernaut that punches many classes above our weight we are an

00:28:02.300 energy and agriculture superpower with our sights set on becoming giants in technology finance

00:28:08.860 tourism and much more and we are having this incredible success not in spite of our conservative

00:28:15.500 and freedom loving values we are succeeding because of our conservative and freedom loving values

00:28:27.020 and that is why so many of the left-wing pundits and establishment in this country oppose us so

00:28:33.580 much because their ideologies of socialism and censorship eco-extremism and big government are

00:28:40.140 failing and losing in the court of public opinion and losing badly where well our alberta values of

00:28:47.180 fiscal conservatism free markets individual freedom and personal responsibility are working

00:28:53.740 and winning with the public more and more every single day and that dear friends is why it is more

00:29:00.060 important than ever for our ucp government and our party to double and triple down on acting and

00:29:07.740 governing like conservatives we must be unapologetic and bold in our protection

00:29:20.700 of personal freedoms in promoting low taxes and free markets and upholding

00:29:24.900 parental rights and school choice and in our steadfast defense of Alberta's

00:29:35.640 sovereignty from ottawa and my commitment to each of you today is to do exactly that

00:29:47.000 and i want each of you in this room to know that my ucp cabinet and caucus members

00:29:51.240 they are totally committed to doing that as well we have done remarkable work together

00:29:55.880 but we have so much more left to do in healthcare led by our amazing minister

00:30:01.720 from right in this area. Adriana Lagrange. We've broken up the AHS health super board monopoly. 1.00

00:30:11.640 And we're restructuring and decentralizing how primary care and hospital care and seniors care

00:30:17.240 and mental health and addiction recovery are all delivered. This means

00:30:20.920 far fewer paper pushers and far more nurses and doctors.

00:30:24.840 last top-down bureaucracy and far more community and frontline decision-making

00:30:33.760 and innovation. In short, it means better and faster care for patients. Now, there's still a

00:30:39.580 lot more to do to complete these reforms, but day by day, we get closer to our goal

00:30:43.740 to deliver an innovative, patient-first, decentralized healthcare system that is

00:30:48.580 there for you when and where you need it in our education system led by minister

00:30:57.760 Dimitrios Nicolaides we have just announced the construction of the

00:31:00.940 largest number of new schools in our provinces history not only does that

00:31:05.560 mean tens of thousands of new public and Catholic school spaces for kids it also

00:31:09.940 includes the largest expansion of school choice in our provinces history

00:31:18.580 Because we'll be creating thousands of new charter and independent school spaces

00:31:22.960 and we will continue to support our amazing and committed homeschooling community as well.

00:31:32.240 And that's because parental choice in education will always be a bedrock principle of our UCP government.

00:31:39.400 The more choice, yeah, yeah.

00:31:42.100 The more choice we have and the more choice we give parents in how their children are

00:31:50.460 educated, the more accountable and innovative and effective our entire education system

00:31:54.920 will become.

00:31:55.920 And that is great news for our children.

00:31:58.620 Because in Alberta, we put our children first and no one understands what a child needs

00:32:02.680 most more than their own parents.

00:32:12.880 And speaking of putting children first, you may have heard we've just introduced legislation

00:32:16.800 two days ago to ensure that our children's future choices are protected by prohibiting

00:32:21.100 gender reassignment surgery for minors.

00:32:26.320 We're also banning gender reassignment, puberty blockers and hormones for all minors. 0.57

00:32:40.380 And 16 and 17 year olds who have to have parental physician and psychologist consent.

00:32:47.320 And furthermore, parents must be notified and given the choice of whether or not to intentionally

00:32:52.560 opt their children into discussions about gender identity and human sexuality.

00:33:03.160 And we will ensure that women and girls are able to compete against one another in sports

00:33:07.920 without having to compete against transgender women who were born male.

00:33:16.580 Now of course some on the left accuse us of doing this for political purposes, but that's

00:33:20.880 not true.

00:33:21.940 We're doing this because permanently altering one's body

00:33:25.380 and changing one's gender is a serious adult decision.

00:33:29.320 And our children deserve the time and the freedom

00:33:31.440 to mature and understand the consequences

00:33:33.580 of such decisions before they make them.

00:33:35.380 And I won't apologize for that.

00:33:43.660 Just like I will never apologize

00:33:45.320 for giving our women and girls a safe and fair opportunity

00:33:48.300 to compete in the sports that they love.

00:33:51.940 choice matters freedom also matters and we as alberta conservatives must lead the way on

00:34:00.780 demonstrating this and we're doing so earlier this week our government led by our justice

00:34:05.440 minister mickey amory introduced the greatest expansion of the alberta bill of rights since

00:34:10.340 it was originally introduced by premier peter laugheed in 1972 amongst the many amendments

00:34:16.520 in this bill is the right to lawfully own and possess firearms and the right to never

00:34:21.560 have your property taken by government without just compensation because in Alberta we don't

00:34:31.960 see someone's bank account or other property just because they're protesting unjust laws that's the

00:34:37.240 Trudeau way it's not the Alberta way and that is why the amended Bill of Rights also expressly

00:34:48.380 forbids any future Alberta government from implementing any vaccine mandates ever again.

00:35:05.740 We all learned a lot of hard lessons during the pandemic and one of the things we learned is this,

00:35:10.220 a person's right to bodily autonomy is sacred. Governments around the world should never be

00:35:15.900 allowed to circumvent that right and in Alberta they won't be allowed to do so.

00:35:25.900 The fight to strengthen our freedoms also means pushing back against federal

00:35:29.420 government censorship and gag laws which means we will continue to do so.

00:35:33.580 But it also means cleaning up our own backyard in this regard and that is why

00:35:37.100 last week our government launched a review of Alberta's regulated professions

00:35:40.940 like the Law Society and the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

00:35:45.900 And we will bring legislative changes in the spring to ensure that all of Alberta's

00:35:55.140 regulatory bodies are limited to regulating their members' professional competence and

00:35:59.700 conduct, but not their freedom of speech or expression or belief.

00:36:04.200 what alberta's own dr jordan peterson is being put through by ontario's college of psychologists

00:36:16.260 for simply speaking out against a disastrous federal government should never be allowed

00:36:21.300 to happen in a free and democratic society and as we see more evidence of these same

00:36:31.380 kind of violations against professionals here in Alberta, we know we need to act so that censorship

00:36:37.300 never gains a secure foothold in this province. Now, no discussion of strengthening our freedoms

00:36:43.820 would be complete without ensuring that Alberta continues to be a national leader in economic

00:36:48.660 freedom. Over the past year, we have helped create nearly 100,000 new jobs, mostly in the private

00:36:54.320 sector, and Alberta workers are earning more on average than anyone else in the country.

00:36:59.120 And that means that Alberta families are earning healthy paychecks that they can use to buy groceries and fill up their gas tanks and buy their kids hockey equipment or save for the future.

00:37:08.500 Under the leadership of our finance minister, Nate Horner, we will be unveiling a plan this fall to grow Alberta's heritage fund to well over $250 billion by 2050 so that we, our children and our grandchildren can continue to live in the lowest tax province in the country

00:37:25.520 and be free from future reliance on non-renewable resource revenues

00:37:29.620 to operate core social programs.

00:37:37.740 And speaking of taxes, yes, we've heard you loud and clear on that one too.

00:37:41.500 Our province has been hard at work these past several months

00:37:44.480 preparing for the next budget.

00:37:46.540 We're eliminating wasteful spending and ensuring that government expenditures

00:37:49.760 are kept well below the rate of inflation plus population growth

00:37:53.260 while focusing precious dollars on your family's core priorities like health care and education.

00:37:59.400 And one of the main reasons we're working so hard in this regard is because our goal as a government

00:38:03.900 is to help Albertans deal with the federal liberal NDP inflation crisis by implementing the full

00:38:09.960 750 per taxpayer personal income tax cut promised in this past election. Now quite frankly when we're

00:38:18.380 doing well we need to make sure that you're doing well. The money should be put back in the pockets

00:38:22.140 of Albertans because you know how to spend it better than government ever can now there is a

00:38:33.260 group of politicians that definitely does not believe that you know how to spend your money

00:38:38.080 better than they do and that would be the Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh NDP liberal government

00:38:44.860 in Ottawa in fact they believe they know how to run Alberta better than Albertans do they have

00:38:50.740 thrown every imaginable roadblock in Alberta's way. They have done all they can to cripple our

00:38:55.920 oil and gas and agriculture sectors. Whether it's C-69 or the emissions cap or their absurd freeze

00:39:02.760 in the dark electricity regulations or the new green censoring law, they just have a general

00:39:08.820 strategy of sowing endless uncertainty for international investors. You name it. Justin

00:39:14.860 Trudeau, Stephen Guibault and their band of woke MPs have done everything they can to shut down

00:39:19.500 canada's and alberta's most economically important industry as quickly as possible

00:39:24.860 but guess what my friends they have failed

00:39:37.580 alberta's economy is booming and we aren't slowing down for any liberals or new democrats

00:39:42.540 in Ottawa or any new Democrats here in Alberta for that matter.

00:39:51.180 We will build new pipelines, oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants,

00:39:55.340 hydrogen plants and more because Alberta is an energy superpower and

00:40:00.060 that's another thing we will not apologize for either.

00:40:02.940 and let me be clear we are not phasing out any of our oil and gas industry in fact we're going

00:40:14.680 to unapologetically double our oil and gas production and we'll lower the emissions the

00:40:25.780 smart way through technology and by sending more of our clean oil and natural gas to Asia and the

00:40:30.800 United States, and Stephen Kimbo can throw as many temper tantrums and concoct as many

00:40:36.260 green schemes as he wants, we are not going to budge an inch, ever.

00:40:46.900 We've already invoked the Sovereignty Act against Justin Trudeau's reckless and unaffordable

00:40:51.680 2035 net zero electricity regulations, which we will not enforce in Alberta, and we will

00:40:57.340 use this legislation against the NDP Liberal Coalition's pending oil and gas production cap

00:41:02.520 if and when it's introduced. In fact, we will unreservedly continue to use the Sovereignty

00:41:08.260 Act without reservation as a shield from Ottawa's damaging and hostile policies whenever and

00:41:13.900 wherever Albertans need us to. And we are also standing up to the NDP Liberal Coalition and

00:41:24.740 courts where to be frank we're also kicking the stuffing out of them we beat them on bill c69

00:41:30.420 what we know of as the no new new pipelines bill and their foolhardy attempt to blend

00:41:35.540 ban single-use plastics we have to take that one to the next level before you can get plastic

00:41:39.220 straws back but we won on the first round and we announced yeah and we announced earlier this week

00:41:47.380 that we've launched a challenge of the unequal application of the federal carbon tax in the

00:41:52.180 the Maritimes, and we will be bringing additional lawsuits against the federal Liberal government

00:41:56.740 in the coming months to shove the Liberal NDP coalition, Justin Trudeau and Stephen

00:42:00.580 Guibo, where they belong, back into their lanes and well out of Albertans' business. 0.99

00:42:12.420 We are hammering the feds on their outrageous electricity policies, their energy production

00:42:17.460 They are soft on crime policies and more, and we will continue to do so until Justin Trudeau is replaced by Pierre Polyev and his team in 2025.

00:42:32.460 We will fight them for every single inch, every single day, because Albertans come first. Period.

00:42:39.460 Now, my dear friends, like you, everyone of our UCP MLAs and I am here today because we love Alberta so very much.

00:42:49.460 And we want to make sure the Alberta Advantage is kept alive and strong for generations to come.

00:42:54.460 We are on the right path. Alberta is safer and stronger and freer today,

00:43:00.460 thanks to the work that you and our United Conservative Government are doing together, and we've only just begun.

00:43:07.460 So let us remain united as a party and as a movement.

00:43:12.200 Advocate loudly through our party policy process and our constituency associations

00:43:17.080 and hold accountable our MLAs, most especially me, to keep us on track.

00:43:22.620 But let us not sink to the level of our opponents by attacking and vilifying one another

00:43:28.520 or breaking into factions and working.

00:43:37.460 Thank you, guys.

00:44:07.460 Thank you. You're feeling it too. We are a family. We are a loud and raucous and opinionated family, but we are a great family nonetheless.

00:44:21.340 Our opponents, whether that be in the NDP in Alberta or the Liberals in Ottawa, have no chance to defeat us when we, as a party, are strong, unified, and boldly governing our province.

00:44:34.220 And that it made Alberta, with the values that we have, made Alberta a beacon of hope and freedom and prosperity to all the world.

00:44:43.200 United, we will not be defeated.

00:44:45.700 Thank you so much, and may Alberta forever be strong and free.
