00:00:00.000 Hello, good evening. I would like to just take this time to say a big thank you to Tanya God
00:00:09.080 Action for Canada for educating us and for teaching us how to assert ourselves. I am a nurse
00:00:17.680 in British Columbia and I have decided not to take the COVID-19 jab. I had a meeting with my
00:00:26.740 manager and with HR today to discuss my vaccination status and to inform me that I would be terminated
00:00:34.100 for not taking the shot. After listening to my manager read the employer's message as per the
00:00:41.300 mandate, I then took a few minutes to put her on notice. I told her I would hold her personally
00:00:48.060 liable for any loss of income I suffer due to the unlawful actions against me by interfering with
00:00:56.520 my right to gain gainful to gainful employment. I told her that she was personally not protected
00:01:05.520 under any act or statute that is in violation with the Canadian rule of law, constitution
00:01:12.640 and charter rights and freedoms. I have put her on notice and told her she was duly warned.
00:01:21.400 As I was reading my notice to her, HR tried to put a stop to me from speaking and told me
00:01:31.400 I needed to speak to the PHO if I had anything to say. I told her no, this was for my manager
00:01:38.400 and I kept on reading the notice. The next thing I knew both HR and management hung up.
00:01:44.400 So the meeting ended. A short while later, I had received a message from some colleagues
00:01:52.400 saying their meeting for the day had been cancelled. Apparently any other meetings will be scheduled
00:02:03.400 by someone else. She has been advised to not schedule any more meetings going forward. So I just want to say
00:02:12.400 again, thank you Tanya for all the hard work that you're doing at Action for Canada. And just to remind
00:02:18.400 everybody, mandates are not law and knowledge is power.
00:02:22.400 is power.
