Summary

Trans students in public schools across the country have been sexually assaulted by each other and by their teachers, classmates, and law enforcement, but no one has come forward to say that a trans student has ever been charged with such a crime. In order to combat this lack of evidence, we must go beyond anecdotal evidence.

00:00:12.000 yourself nor law enforcement could provide a single example
00:00:16.000 of any trans student assaulting any girl in any bathroom,
00:00:20.000 in any school, in any state, anywhere in all, in fact. But not to worry,
00:00:24.000 since you couldn't locate them, I took the trouble, too. See, Loudoun County,
00:00:28.000 Virginia, where last year, under district policy,
00:00:32.000 a trans student was allowed into the women's bathroom, where he assaulted a girl
00:00:36.000 to cover it up. They moved him to another school, where he did it again.
00:00:40.000 See Irvine, California last month, where a trans student
00:00:44.000 entered the women's locker room and flashed the girls there.
00:00:48.000 When they confronted him, he mercilessly beat them. This happened again
00:00:52.000 in Gwinnett County, Georgia. This happened again in Oklahoma City.
00:00:56.000 This happened again in Ohio, where a trans man was allowed
00:01:00.000 to use the locker room, where he was arrested for flashing little girls.
00:01:04.000 The judge dropped the charges after he ruled that this man was too fat
00:01:08.000 for them to see anything.
00:01:10.000 Last month, in this city, a man
00:01:14.000 using they-them pronouns
00:01:16.000 in a scene straight out of Silence of the Lambs, hunted down
00:01:20.000 and killed a female jogger, because he, quote,
00:01:22.000 wanted to look just like her.
00:01:24.000 And before you say
00:01:26.000 that these are anecdotal evidence,
00:01:28.000 just note
00:01:30.000 that in a survey of trans
00:01:32.000 inmates in federal prisons,
00:01:34.000 half were convicted of sexual
00:01:36.000 assault, and 90%
00:01:38.000 were convicted of violent crimes, well
00:01:40.000 above the general prison population.
00:01:42.000 Now, it should also be noted
00:01:44.000 that in each of these cases,
00:01:46.000 each of these perpetrators had either changed their pronouns,
00:01:48.000 had undergone transition,
00:01:50.000 or had received gender-affirming therapy
00:01:52.000 and accommodations thereof.
00:01:54.000 Why is this important to note?
00:01:56.000 Probably for the same reason
00:01:58.000 we recognize as a society
00:02:00.000 that you do not affirm
00:02:02.000 that people with anorexia can be healthy in any weight,
00:02:04.000 you do not affirm that somebody with schizophrenia
00:02:06.000 is hearing voices,
00:02:08.000 and you do not affirm
00:02:10.000 that somebody in a manic episode
00:02:12.000 is having great ideas.
00:02:14.000 Because when you leave somebody to languish
00:02:16.000 in their false mental state,
00:02:18.000 i.e. men who think they are women,
00:02:20.000 they will inevitably lash out
00:02:22.000 and harm themselves and those around them.
00:02:24.000 Hurt people hurt other people.
00:02:28.000 But, I don't want to pretend
00:02:30.000 and have the hubris to think
00:02:32.000 that I'm going to be the one to change your mind.
00:02:34.000 I'm happy to share
00:02:36.000 any and all of these examples with you.
00:02:38.000 But you will most likely leave here tonight
00:02:40.000 believing that
00:02:42.000 men can become women,
00:02:44.000 affirming care works,
00:02:46.000 and that you made the right vote.
00:02:48.000 But you will no longer be able
00:02:50.000 to look into the eyes of your constituents
00:02:52.000 and honestly say that you are unaware
00:02:54.000 of the assaults that inevitably take place
00:02:56.000 when we declare to women
00:02:58.000 you have no right to privacy.
