00:00:00.000Some of the young men I know who are tradesmen and, you know, they're they're say in their early 30s and they're a tile guy or they're a plumber or electrician or something like that.
00:00:12.640And they started apprenticing when they were 15, 16, because they could get their schooling done in the morning and then go to work with dad or go to work with uncle or grandpa or, you know, find someone who would take them under their wing.
00:00:24.400So if there is like, you know, sort of a skill that, that a boy or girl is interested in, they can look for a pathway to really dive into that. A lot of the first homeschoolers that really piqued my interest were all musicians. And these were ones who fell in love with their instrument and, you know, their early teens.
00:00:45.780And so by the time they were 18, they already had 10,000 hours on the violin or the keyboard or vocalist or guitar player kind of thing.
00:00:54.540And we're just like well-rounded, intelligent kids who could carry on a great conversation with any adult in any situation.
00:01:03.800And even though they were just, you know, 17, 18, 19 or whatever, it kind of had that maturity of most 25-year-olds kind of thing.
00:01:10.900And I'm like, if this is what homeschooling kids can do and can put their time in instead of wasting eight hours a day in a classroom and hanging out with everyone who's exactly the same age as them and, you know, just do the bare minimum until you graduate, that really piqued my interest on, yeah, what you might be able to do as a homeschooler.
