In this episode, we hear from Dr. Mary O'Connor, who lost her case against the College of Addiction and Mental Health. She talks about how she was targeted by the College, and how she fought back.
00:00:00.000I want to give just a moment for Mary, Dr. Mary, to come up and speak, and then we'll wrap this up completely.
00:00:08.860Dr. Mary, would you please come up, and I'd like you to hear, this is separate from what it is that we're dealing with today,
00:00:18.080on one issue, but very, very relevant in the overall issue of this being tyranny trying to prevail in a nation and shut down truth from being heard by the public.
00:00:31.900So, would you tell us a little bit of your testimony?
00:00:34.620Well, thank you very much, everybody. I'm really privileged to be here today and share the support for Barry.
00:00:40.500So, I'm a physician. I graduated actually 50 years ago. I've been around for a long time.
00:00:45.560I was a general practitioner. In the last 28 years, I focused mostly on mental health and substance use disorder.
00:00:53.660So, just to say in that particular focus, many, many of my patients have suffered abuse, and that's where I heard story after story.
00:01:02.840So, I'll just start when this pandemic started. I didn't know the truth for the first few weeks.
00:01:09.740I started to become suspicious when I was going to church and seeing that they didn't have to wear masks on the altars, but the people in the pews had to.
00:01:17.700So, all of a sudden, nothing made sense.
00:01:20.080And then, very quickly, I learned, and I learned about the horror of the jabs, etc.
00:01:25.120So, all sorts of people, my name got out there, and all sorts of people, hundreds of people contacted me for exemptions, such that I had to have an assistant.
00:01:35.000We just kept, I was still trying to work and doing exemptions in the evenings.
00:01:39.260So, these people who were contacting me for exemptions all knew the truth, and they were just, each conversation was about an hour, because they had no one else that had believed in them.
00:01:52.080The college became aware in October that I was writing exemptions.
00:01:55.620A couple of patients' employers contacted the college to see if my exemptions were legit.
00:02:02.980So, they assigned, they accused me also of being disgraceful, dishonorable, and giving out misinformation and causing risks to my patients and community at large.
00:02:14.740They assigned a team of four investigators to come after me and find, they wanted my names of my patients I had written exemptions for and their charts.
00:02:28.540They assigned a team of four investigators who could enter, it says on the papers, by force, if necessary, to find me in my charts.
00:02:37.600So, at that point, I had to have a guard in my office to lock the doors between each patient.
00:02:43.440And also, on November 4th, they told me not to write any more exemptions, but I re-read that paper several times.
00:02:51.600It says, we made this order without notice to Dr. O'Connor.
00:02:55.020So, they told me not to write it, but they didn't tell me to give me the order.
00:02:59.420So, I actually didn't find out about that order until the 24th, when the lawyer for the college told it to my lawyer.
00:03:06.480And meanwhile, on the 22nd, a private investigator had tripped me, actually, into giving her an exemption.
00:03:12.000So, that's, it's really crazy what's been going on.
00:03:16.220On November, on December 8th, what we'd sort of been fearing, the four investigators came into my office.
00:03:25.080Now, my guard was there that day by himself, so he hadn't locked the door.
00:03:29.020So, he heard four, you know, steps rushing up, feet rushing up the stairs.
00:03:34.100And they literally, four of them entrapped him in my boardroom where we, and really just pummeled him with questions like, where am I, where are my charts, etc.
00:03:41.720The female investigator went through all the file cabinets, but really, by the grace of God, I had moved everything out of there a few months earlier, not knowing, at that point, this was going to happen.
00:03:52.120On December 23rd, at midnight, they took away my medical license.
00:03:57.320On January 7th, they took me to Ontario Superior Court, co-accused with some other great doctors, some great doctors, Mark Troze and Thurwell and Roshan Killian.
00:04:48.080About a month ago, the lawyer from the other side wrote my lawyer, you know, what does your client hope to do so I can continue not to comply, which puts me in contempt of court at this point.
00:05:00.700Now, my lawyer thought I would get a sentence within a few days of jail sentence, maybe.
00:05:06.680So far, they haven't come back to me, so I'm not sure.
00:05:11.400Maybe they don't want to throw an old grandmother in jail.
00:05:15.100Anyway, we're just waiting and praying and carrying on day to day.
00:05:20.420So, I just want to say, in conclusion, I just hope and pray for these people at the college, Nancy Whitmore, my four investigators and newspaper reporters who didn't talk kindly about me, the judge, the lawyers, etc.
00:05:37.080We hope and pray that they'll come out of this darkness and back into the light of the truth, and they won't any longer be complicit with the injuries and deaths of so many people.
