00:01:06.600 So I don't know how many of you are familiar with Bill C-4.
00:01:12.060 Bill C-4 was passed in the Senate in January of 2021, sorry, in December of 2021.
00:01:20.380 And in January of 2022, it received royal assent, which basically means it is now law in Canada and has been for just about a year.
00:01:29.440 Bill C-4 basically says that anyone, like a pastor, for example,
00:01:33.720 who would try to counsel someone and say to them, listen, I know that you might feel that you're a gender different than your physical body,
00:01:43.360 but you're not actually.
00:01:45.020 And I want to work with you and pray with you and counsel you and help you understand that the body you have has been given to you by God.
00:01:51.960 That if someone does that, and then it's reported such a person could face up to five years in prison federally.
00:01:58.540 So what we did in response to that with the Liberty Coalition is we decided that we were going to have pastors across the country
00:02:06.380 preach on a biblical sexual ethic and say, fine, come and get us.
00:02:12.560 You have no right to tell us what God has designed for marriage and sexuality.
00:02:18.700 And so I want to read a little bit of why Barry's in there right now.
00:02:22.980 And I want to say that he's not the only one that gets to say controversial things and get in a little bit of trouble.
00:02:29.720 So I'm going to join him in that.
00:02:33.240 So I'm going to read something that should not be controversial, but it is.
00:02:37.740 And according to, again, Bill C-4, in the preamble of the bill,
00:02:43.080 what I'm about to read in Canadian legislation is categorized as myth.
00:02:49.240 It's myth.
00:02:50.020 What I'm about to read for you here.
00:02:52.980 So this is taken right from the beginning of the scriptures.
00:02:57.640 This is Genesis.
00:02:59.160 God creates the world.
00:03:00.360 God creates plants.
00:03:01.500 He makes animals.
00:03:02.560 And then on the sixth day, he comes to the pinnacle of his creation, which is human beings.
00:03:08.740 And God said, let us make man in our image after our likeness.
00:03:13.280 And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens
00:03:17.260 and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
00:03:22.980 So God created man in his own image.
00:03:26.080 In the image of God, he created him.
00:03:29.360 Male and female, he created them.
00:03:32.720 And we go to the next chapter in Genesis, and we read this after the creation of man and woman.
00:03:43.420 Adam sees his wife and writes a poem.
00:03:46.000 He sings, basically sings when he sees her.
00:03:48.700 The man said, this at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.
00:03:52.000 She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man.
00:03:54.480 Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
00:04:03.000 That is an unavoidable binary.
00:04:06.140 And apparently, that's now myth in the eyes of our federal government.
00:04:10.300 And that's why, in part, that Barry is in there in trouble, because he, quote-unquote, propagates this myth, according to our government,
00:04:20.280 that God has created humanity to be male and female.
00:04:24.040 And that's it.
00:04:26.120 And there is no crossing over from one side to the other.

00:04:30.780 And up until about five minutes ago, everyone in the entire history of the world agreed on this.
00:04:39.220 But with the introduction and with the infusing of this very godless, radical gender ideology and critical theory in all its forms,
00:04:50.100 critical race theory, critical gender theory, critical queer theory,
00:04:54.080 you insert a letter in between the C and the T, and you get all these radical ideas, these godless ideas,
00:05:00.780 now we're starting to say, no, no, no, boys can be girls.
00:05:04.460 Girls can be boys.
00:05:05.540 And in fact, you can take a nine-year-old boy who's confused,
00:05:08.460 and you can cut off certain parts and give him certain medication to sterilize him,
00:05:12.680 and that's fine, and that's not fine.

00:05:16.460 That's abuse.
00:05:18.000 And not only is it abuse, but it's counter the way the world works.
00:05:22.940 God has made people to be male and female.
00:05:25.920 There is no blurring of those lines.
00:05:27.680 There's no switching from one side to the next.

00:05:31.520 And when we take children who are growing, who are confused,
00:05:37.100 children who are being put under the weight of this indoctrination,
00:05:41.400 and then we say to them, oh yeah, now we can perform life-altering permanent surgeries on them,
00:05:47.320 almost 100% of the time is now leaving them sterile and unable to have kids.
00:05:52.720 We've done serious damage to them, and what we've really harmed is we've harmed the image of God in them.
00:05:57.240 They have been made in God's image to share in his likeness as unique, valuable human beings that have worth and dignity.
00:06:06.080 And that is why we do and should so strongly oppose this.
00:06:10.640 This isn't just about a bad kind of teaching.
00:06:14.560 This isn't just about something that has political implications.
00:06:18.460 We are attacking the very core of what it means to be a human being.
00:06:23.820 And we're legislating it now.
00:06:25.680 And it's a great evil.
00:06:26.780 And so we completely support not only Barry, and it's been great to hear more about Shannon's story as well and the work that he's doing.

00:06:38.260 But the reason why we support and stand behind this isn't because, oh yeah, we're just going to vote the right guys in and we're going to...

00:06:44.900 No, it's because what we're seeing here is an attack on the very image of God in boys and in girls.
00:06:51.740 And we're destroying them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
00:06:55.840 And so my hope, and as I said earlier today, the only hope really, the only change really is not just vote the right guy, pass the right piece of legislation.
00:07:08.840 The goal is, and what we would call not just the judges that are in there, but legislators, lawmakers, those who support and encourage this great evil,
00:07:18.680 that they would repent of this great evil.
00:07:21.120 They would stop doing it.
00:07:22.240 That they would turn from abusing and harming our kids, which is what they're doing, and that they would stop it.
00:07:28.140 That they would honor the Constitution they're supposed to uphold, which has, again, first and foremost, the supremacy of God and the rule of law.
00:07:37.400 A clear understanding of how God has designed the world to work.
00:07:41.600 And so my encouragement to all of us is to not only know that, but don't be afraid to say that.
00:07:48.520 The reality is, in many instances, yeah, you're going to have people like Barry, or like friends of mine,
00:07:54.640 who by saying the wrong things will find themselves on the other end of court proceedings.
00:07:59.460 Okay, there's a consequence that comes from saying that which is true,
00:08:04.840 for actually trying to fight for and defend the rights and the protections of children who are innocent and who are victims in all of this.
00:08:14.200 And so don't be afraid, even as Max said, don't be silenced.

00:08:22.520 And there might be and probably will be some consequences for it.

00:08:29.040 Continue to surround yourself with like-minded people who will also fight for these same goals and these same initiatives.

00:08:43.420 And I do hope and I do pray not only that Barry comes out of this on the right side of it.
00:08:48.620 Because if not, that's a very grim situation for our country.
00:08:54.000 If people who hold his viewpoint are deemed unfit to serve on school boards.
00:08:58.260 That is a great stain upon the history of our country that will plunge us into even more social moral ruin.
00:09:06.080 If we say that you cannot hold to a biblical sexual ethic and be on the school board.
00:09:11.320 We have only further incurred the judgment of God upon us.
00:09:16.000 That we've signed off on utter rejection of him and his law.
00:09:20.900 So I hope that doesn't happen.
00:09:22.260 But beyond that, I hope the people that make the laws, the people that we vote for, that vote this stuff in.
00:09:28.460 That they would turn from the great evil that they are doing.
