00:22:26.360 was administered following the significant changes to the electoral legislation that were made in 2019

00:22:38.040 there are aspects like the out-of-district voting and counting that could only be administered

00:22:43.420 in a full provincial election again that was chief electoral officer anton bogman um so john rustad

00:22:51.680 these problems were eventually caught and flagged the public has been given an explanation just how much

00:22:58.600 assurance do you take from elections bc in their update today well i think um when we went and did the final

00:23:05.660 count uh more than a week ago um we were told by elections bc that all the ballots were there and they're all

00:23:11.440 being counted and now we find that wasn't the case this is why we need to have an independent look of course

00:23:18.340 elections bc is going to come out and say that they did everything right and you know there was just a few errors

00:23:23.500 but the question is is there anything more to be found and we don't know and elections bc doesn't know

00:23:28.900 and i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that um everything has been done properly and and that there is

00:23:34.960 nothing else there but we just need to make sure for the people in british columbia to have confidence

00:23:40.300 in our electoral system we need to make sure that what has gone on was isolated fully explained
