Summary

Summaries generated with gmurro/bart-large-finetuned-filtered-spotify-podcast-summ .

Fly Soldier and Kodak Red 4x became known as the Island Boyz for obvious reasons. From ages 15 to 17, they were in and out of jail a lot, mostly for robbery but once they discovered instagram they started to gain traction where they would go live with random people, sometimes artists, sometimes real gangsters, but when I discovered them was last year.

00:00:00.480 island boy i don't i keep saying that what the the island boy what is that
00:00:05.840 y'all them are they better than young boy wait do they actually rap or not
00:00:13.280 these two are the island boys tiktok's new favorite rappers oh i'm a island boy
00:00:20.080 i'ma just island boy i'ma just island boy imagine if this video was the only proof
00:00:26.560 that humans ever existed because of this video fly soldier and kodiak red formerly known as
00:00:33.120 red 4x became known as the island boys for obvious reasons when i first came across them i thought
00:00:38.800 they were soundcloud rappers that are trying to bring back 2016 2017. this image that they're
00:00:43.760 going for was once considered unique because the people who had it backed it up with good music
00:00:49.120 but then it got flooded with people who had the look but not the music it seems like these two
00:00:53.760 almost went through the soundcloud rapper checklist to make sure they got it all face tats check
00:00:59.760 interesting hair check drug use check i did a lot of per i did a lot of perks um when i was 17 i was
00:01:06.560 addicted with them down bad story check so i was i came out of jail down bad like nobody nice bro
00:01:14.400 bragging about that come on bro they want to help me i got haters check there's a lot of haters in our
00:01:20.320 in our county but we can barely consider these guys rappers were you guys trying to be rappers wait
00:01:24.880 do they actually rap or nah y'all with them are they better than young boy
00:01:32.960 he didn't brag about it okay then not my bad
00:01:38.320 before you got locked up see this is this is the thing i didn't really know what i was going to be
00:01:42.240 i'm so young i just wanted to be lit you know what i mean being lit is the number one priority for
00:01:47.120 kodiak red it's not achieving musical esteem enhanced rapping ability maybe making a great
00:01:52.800 album or even showing the world that he is built in auto-tune i don't use too much auto-tune i sound
00:01:57.920 like i have automatic auto-tune like it's called harmonizing look i could do it i i say j with all
00:02:03.280 my nine they like money when you shine some people would just call that singing now like everything
00:02:07.840 else that's trendy tick tock is the reason you see them all over the internet so i have a lot of
00:02:12.720 people saying that i look like cynthia the dog but once i started to do a bit more digging i kind of
00:02:18.960 felt bad for the island boys well my my dad died at like an early age like i turned 18 my mom kicks
00:02:26.560 both both of us out out the crib i know i mentioned that their story was very typical soundcloud rapper
00:02:32.560 ask but there's no doubt that their reality was bleak they obviously made choices that landed them in and 0.89
00:02:37.200 out of jail but it seems like they needed a little bit of guidance and considering how ridiculous they
00:02:41.840 portray themselves they're very self-aware are you guys i seem self-aware like for what like if you 0.86
00:02:47.760 look at you two in a mirror you'd be like i don't know what's going on these guys heads i mean it's a
00:02:51.200 very unique look you gotta be unique you gotta be you gotta literally you gotta stand out so then are
00:02:56.880 you supposed to feel bad because they had a rough upbringing and needed guidance or are they hiding
00:03:01.200 in plain sight looking and acting ridiculous on purpose because they know it brings in the views
00:03:05.440 my name is patrick cc and on this island we drink water let's get one thing straight the island boys
00:03:10.960 song is kind of fire they may be speaking in doctor's handwriting but the melodies are on point
00:03:15.680 if it wasn't obvious the twin brothers are from florida specifically palm beach they claim that they
00:03:20.400 were always popular they liked it they are natural entertainers and potentially clones of various other
00:03:25.520 rappers from ages 15 and 17 they were in and out of jail a lot mostly for robbery but once they
00:03:31.040 discovered instagram they started to gain a little traction where they would go live with random people
00:03:35.440 sometimes artists sometimes real gangsters but when i discovered them was last year when this
00:03:40.640 blue collar joe schmo served up some real life lessons for fly soldier i'm a full-time rapper 0.99
00:03:46.080 you know oh you're a full-time i think you're a full-time idiot is what you are you're not a full-time 0.99
00:03:50.400 rapper dude how do you treat your girl i treat her well i provide i'm like a normal adult and you're 1.00
00:03:57.440 sitting in some dirty room like trolling people like you're doing the whole like six nine method but
00:04:02.720 you ain't trolling nobody who's important so like for what you're just wasting your own time you're turning red
00:04:10.640 who me no i'm laughing your face is turning red and your teeth are turning green i'm asking you a
00:04:15.120 question is my face right now i can't tell you got writing all over
00:04:22.160 that was literally just a who is this guy he's funny as
00:04:28.960 he's like bro oh my god it's funny random dude who spent 40 minutes of his day trying to convince
00:04:34.960 nfl young man that he was making some poor decisions the hero we don't deserve the live
00:04:39.280 stream would get posted on worldstar and youtube which got a lot of new attention from real
00:04:43.120 gangsters who were not very fond of fly soldier acting tough man stop acting bro stop acting
00:04:56.880 but then that same guy is just here chilling with them acting cool later on so it's just so was was it
00:05:02.640 ever real you'll notice that starts that w script 0.91
00:05:07.680 ironic i know ironic shut the up bitch comma trend from here on out a lot of their ig lives would get 1.00
00:05:14.080 screen recorded and posted on youtube which would sometimes gain them some new traction so once their 0.98
00:05:19.360 buzz started increasing they just kept doing these ig lives and doing what exactly where's your mom
00:05:25.200 where is she in bed can you call her for me please she's i need her to tickle my twin girl tell 1.00
00:05:33.200 i what tell i want to get tell i want to get free i need you right now tell i want to get freaky
00:05:39.920 bro what the you want to you still want to take her out yeah like this for some reason this is
00:05:44.960 actually just weird like what the it's not even funny on god it's not funny it's just weird
00:05:49.600 chad if you laugh at that you're like five years old that was not funny on god
00:05:52.800 a few hundred people would actually come back to watch these live streams and we started to see
00:05:57.520 regulars that came on the lives which became sort of an instagram reality show for example
00:06:03.280 this guy that i mentioned before he became known as green hat guy who is now a literal
00:06:08.640 influencer with more ig followers than me so follow me on ig and let's change that
00:06:15.120 no but i'm serious please follow me we also have lil jitman lil pyru 954 enzo
00:06:21.200 why easy xena the witch lil perk brick boy dior montasia viem day hey gianna matty g's and the
00:06:29.760 big boss of all of them big bank who the fuck are all these people no chat i already know people 0.91
00:06:35.760 take this the wrong way i'm not i just don't know who are these people are these soundcloud rappers 0.98
00:06:42.640 this is the dark side of florida oh these are all people from florida royce chico this is like the 1.00
00:06:49.520 degenerate universe of unsuccessful rappers with face tattoos basically this whole ecosystem just
00:06:55.520 exists and they go live together oh why are they all tatted up like boom boom boom boom every day
00:07:02.720 sometimes it's just two or they do groups of three and four most of the time it's boring as 0.92
00:07:07.280 shit but once it gets dry they start beefs with each other i can't even tell who's friends and who 0.96
00:07:12.160 isn't because they're always threatening each other pointing guns on screen and acting like internet 1.00
00:07:16.960 gangsters then the next day they will just be chilling on live all buddy buddy but the most
00:07:22.000 interesting character is chico chico is an older gentleman from north carolina at some point in
00:07:26.640 late 2020 or early 2021 fly and red's mom kicked them out of chat florida this is you guys florida
00:07:32.640 florida this is you guys not chat um i'm from florida so i would never disrespect florida florida is
00:07:38.400 probably the best state in the world one of the best states in the world sorry it just is facts in the
00:07:43.120 fucking chat the house and they were broke and needed a place to stay so he offered it's definitely 0.80
00:07:47.680 it's definitely top three got them both jobs it's really top three i'm sorry it is top whereas they 0.97
00:07:51.920 call him stop three he also offered them protection since they were always talking the big talk on
00:07:56.640 instagram they would do their ig live streams and post on tiktok while working and that's when they
00:08:01.600 really started to take off fly soldier went back to florida to take care of his child and red stayed in
00:08:06.160 carolina met a girl and stay bro no way your kid has that hair bro that right there is abuse i'm 1.00
00:08:13.440 sorry bro the kid doesn't have a say he wants his hair to be like that on god that is up bro
00:08:21.360 that is so it's photoshopped it's edited i hope so bro because if it's not that is
00:08:26.160 on god that is chico but red started to claim to be a real gang member a blood specifically chico
00:08:33.840 wasn't having that one day chico kicks in red's door and decides he needs to make this right 0.97
00:08:38.400 he brings him to some real gang members to check in basically all you guys think you're dumb first 0.99
00:08:43.120 of all that edit if it's really that's crazy that's crazy as fuck you could barely fucking tell 1.00
00:08:48.880 second of all l dumb millionaire cuffum guess what that's why you got left outside in florida 0.99
00:08:53.920 held and red stayed in carolina and then what'd you do you cried on ig live 0.99
00:09:04.320 come for me baby girl and stayed with chico but red started to claim to be a real gang member
00:09:10.160 a blood specifically chico wasn't having that one day chico kicks in red's door and decides 0.99
00:09:14.960 he needs to make this right you can't take a fucking joke 0.98
00:09:18.320 check my basically he was just trying to scare the out of him and it worked bro why are you guys 0.99
00:09:22.720 putting blm really bro why you guys realize that makes you racist right 0.98
00:09:32.880 kick this door what's up what you claim in the internet uh sex money but why you doing that 0.92
00:09:40.800 this is commonly referred to as the kidnapping incident that you'll see them talk about in
00:09:52.720 interviews but it really wasn't kidnapping you know he did punk this 0.87
00:09:56.240 wait he's a pedophile he gave out free candy bro why did it just these two are the i-hole 0.99
00:10:02.480 fucking hate this mouse bro wild and red stayed in carolina 1.00
00:10:05.840 men here it is where the is the uh sex money but why you doing that 1.00
00:10:12.960 what the am i watching chat this is where royce lives royce this is these are your people 0.96
00:10:20.960 can i stay with you bro bro come on bro i can't do this this is commonly referred to as the
00:10:26.400 kidnapping incident that you'll see them talk about in blm it really wasn't you know what i'm done
00:10:30.800 chat matter of fact every time i react from now on i'm just not gonna say anything bro i'm not gonna do
00:10:34.960 it she's not gonna do it she's not gonna do it kidnapping he did punk the red though chico is
00:10:43.760 kind of like their toxic stepfather there's videos of him hitting red and being verbally abusive but at
00:10:49.120 the end of the day he did give them a place to stay money and a job when they were down bad the most
00:10:54.320 i don't know everything that happened but there's something deeper there because you can see it in
00:10:57.680 soldiers eyes on this specific live stream he respects chico and he just looks guilty or sad
00:11:03.520 because chico was in legal trouble and the island boys left him in the dust currently chico is in
00:11:08.000 jail free chico i haven't really mentioned it on the chat what do you get locked up for
00:11:13.680 demons make music but i mean
00:11:25.040 there isn't really much to say they're all just cosplaying as rappers
00:11:30.960 which literally just consists of people commenting on their videos and them responding to these comments
00:11:35.520 i think the best theme of their tiktok is that they reply to these comments seriously as if people
00:11:40.880 aren't drawing the out of them but it's kind of the same situation as any of these other gimmicky
00:11:46.000 influencers we've seen like bad baby whoa vicky and others they basically allow themselves to get bullied 0.59
00:11:51.920 over and over and eventually a small percentage of the people start to kind of root for them
00:11:56.800 like they're an underdog and if you keep sticking it out eventually the bullies go away
00:12:00.880 and you're left with an inflated follower count and a small fan base or people just secretly like you the
00:12:05.680 whole time because in recent interviews they don't seem that bad they actually seem very nice and
00:12:09.760 self-aware if you close your eyes you might think wow i would love to take a nice walk in the park with
00:12:15.360 these two gentlemen that's why the boundary between what is real and what isn't is so thin for me
00:12:20.720 is this all just one giant act for internet clout are they letting people just make fun of them 0.97
00:12:26.240 or are they actually very dumb violent and dangerous people they love to start beefs they have 0.99
00:12:31.600 incredibly toxic relationships did they really do all of that to their bodies just for some instagram 0.99
00:12:36.880 fame i can't be convinced that these two are just rappers and they're doing it for the music
00:12:41.680 even though that's what they claim because the music is so bad
00:12:45.360 i mean sure the island boy's jacuzzi tape slaps but the rest of their music is horrible
00:13:03.120 like objectively horrible
00:13:08.000 and maybe i'm biased because i just love rap music so much and i think these two are being
00:13:12.000 rappers as an excuse to justify their image and antics i mean kodiak red did get the kodak black
00:13:17.840 cosign they linked up in florida and kodak has publicly supported him it's actually the reason
00:13:22.880 why he changed his name from red 4x to kodiak red and kodak does have the musical respect so maybe he
00:13:28.720 can help them make a listenable song i honestly have no idea what the future holds for the island boys or
00:13:35.040 any of these marvel universe facetat unsuccessful rappers i can't see anyone taking them seriously
00:13:42.960 ever but what do you think 80 of you are not subscribed new videos every tuesday
00:13:50.240 these two are the island boys tick tock okay okay okay okay okay okay okay okay okay okay
00:13:56.880 see like i like when you guys tell me to watch these types of videos y'all got any more videos for me to
00:14:00.480 watch
