00:10:01.000 His name's Ronnie, and he's over 50 years old, and he was diagnosed with some advanced melanoma on his back.

00:10:19.000 They've told him a good chance he's going to die and they're telling him they want him to go on chemotherapy.

00:10:23.000 They cut a big chunk out of his back and had already sent off some tentacles into his body.

00:10:29.000 Hadn't gotten the lymph nodes though from biopsies they did there.

00:10:33.000 And if the listeners would just pray for Ronnie, that would, I know, help.

00:10:40.000 They've done major studies, major universities.

00:10:42.000 I don't need major studies and major universities to tell me the power of prayer, going to God and asking that He intercede if that's His will.

00:10:52.000 I mean, it may be in His plan that I die tomorrow, that Ronnie dies six months from now, that you die in a car wreck today.

00:10:59.000 That may be needed in a chain of events in the plan.

00:11:02.000 If it is God's will, I ask that Ronnie have a speedy recovery and that he make the right decisions and that his doctors' hands be guided, the doctors' and nurses' hands be guided in the work they're doing with him.

00:11:21.000 We could all die in a car wreck today.

00:11:22.000 We could all be struck by lightning.

00:11:24.000 We could die in a flood or an earthquake.

00:11:35.000 And in this sick world, they teach us that, you know, the guy that dies with the most toys wins.

00:11:41.000 The person that dies with the best family, who's done the right thing in their life, that's loved God, stood up to tyranny, uh, that has, uh, Well, been as decent as they could, and that has had a proper moral bearing.

00:11:57.000 What the old Norse saying, cattle die and kinsmen die, and someday one must die oneself.

00:12:02.000 But I know there's one thing that never dies, and that's the fame of a dead man's deeds.

00:12:53.000 They've done major psychological tests, but philosophers thousands of years ago had already pointed this out, that it takes more courage to go against the general malaise, the general insanity of decadent phases in society.

00:13:09.000 It takes more courage to do that, to say the world is round, as Galileo did, than it takes to charge a machine gun nest.

00:13:20.000 But, not having moral courage, and not having the will to face painful truths, is a great psychological and spiritual illness.

00:13:34.000 Another definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, thinking you'll get the same results, thinking you'll get different results.

00:16:40.000 Now, about a month ago, I'd heard this on the radio locally, and I'd forgotten about it.

00:16:48.000 The Texas Workforce Commission is attempting to redefine the word work in a way that would cut off Medicaid benefits to thousands of Texans who don't follow a list of state behavioral rules.

00:17:00.000 It's about behavioral control.

00:17:01.000 And then it goes on to say it'll be your workers' compensation, state compensation as well.

00:17:06.000 Meanwhile, a non-profit group and a gaggle of Texas Democrats are pressuring officials in Austin and Washington to kill the proposal which is on the agency's agenda for Tuesday.

00:17:21.000 The proposed rule would affect more than 350,000 adults who receive both Medicaid and cash assistance through temporary aid for needy families.

00:17:30.000 The rules would expand the definition of work, and listen carefully, to include such things as maintaining children's immunizations, gotta take your shots, avoiding drug and alcohol abuse, that means drug testing, now you get welfare, you drug test, you're a criminal, and making sure children attend school.

00:17:50.000 Adults who fail to live up to any of the items on the list would lose Medicaid coverage.

00:17:54.000 Now, the state loss is 14 absences in a semester is a truancy.

00:17:59.000 Under this, It means that one absentee, you sign a form waiving rights, you're on a furtive unification, you're on probation to get welfare, now you're at a higher standard.

00:18:10.000 The conflict over the rule hinges on differing interpretations of one of the federal government's work-first welfare reform laws.

00:18:17.000 Texas Republican leadership says federal law gives the state the right to tie Medicaid benefits to personal responsibility, agreements designed to help people Leave public assistance.

00:41:55.000 Just pull up court case murder case 1879 and you know hundreds of dozens of articles will pop up about famous murder cases and you can read where the jury's ordering the judge around the jury saying what what the jury will say we want to talk to that that witness again the jury will Uh, ask questions themselves of the, uh, of the witnesses.

00:42:20.000 Uh, the judge basically, uh, referee, was a referee.

00:42:25.000 And the jury was the power.

00:42:26.000 The jury was the people.

00:42:57.000 Juries are told what to do, instructed, well, this person's guilty, you heard the evidence, doesn't matter what you think, you go vote for guilty now.
