00:08:57.000 The euro rose 0.7% against the dollar to $1.3247 by late afternoon in New York after data from Chicago purchasing managers indicated that business activity in the Midwest unexpectedly fell last month.

01:35:40.000 And so I was yesterday, or actually two days ago, I was at the gym on the stair stepper And they got all these big plasma screen TVs where I work out, and I'm watching ESPN, and everything's with timers now of 20 seconds.

01:41:16.000 Oh, people being shot, stabbed, people running over, the police foaming at the mouth?

01:41:21.000 That's how severe, folks, and ingrained and insidious the addiction to this kind of, quote, entertainment this society is now enslaved to.

01:41:31.000 Well, I've talked to full-grown adults that run successful businesses, and they tell me I played the game Hitman for two years.

01:41:40.000 It's my accomplishment in my life.

01:41:42.000 No, it's not real.

01:41:45.000 You're plugging yourself incrementally into the Matrix.

01:41:52.000 But they plan on the PlayStation 3 and 4 and 5, they plan on the new Xbox to be the center of the life where you wear these virtual reality headsets, you play games, as you said, on the Monday show with millions of other people simultaneously.

01:42:06.000 More and more people are playing for two, three days at a time and dying at their machines.

01:42:11.000 Well, they're dying intellectually, if nothing else.

01:42:13.000 But again, if the intellect is never properly allowed to grow, how do you kill it?

01:42:18.000 And that brings us to the point we brought up Monday, Alex, which is crucial.

01:42:22.000 Our young people now are literally not only existing and growing and thriving in a virtual world, but they are virtual people.

01:42:31.000 The mask that we used to put together for our personalities was at least predicated upon reality, real people, real events.

01:42:39.000 The mask that our young people, in many cases, have assembled for themselves is derived strictly from MTV, from music videos, from video games, from video game heroes, from video game music.

01:42:51.000 The mass that we were appropriating as we were young that then grew into something real, they were an endless line stretching back into humanity developed from our actual trials and tribulations.

01:43:02.000 What we're dealing with now is a virtual populace living in a virtual reality.

01:43:09.000 These are not real people.

01:43:11.000 These are assembled from things that do not exist.

01:43:14.000 Our personalities were assembled from things that do exist, or did exist, essentially.

01:43:21.000 And I don't know where it's going to go, but I do know this.

01:45:38.000 What a thing to build self-esteem on, for God's sake.

01:45:41.000 While the screen's flashing in a mesmerized point, and now in the video games it's all, confiscate the guns, you're a U.N.

01:46:38.000 Now, everyone sits and watches the television and doesn't, folks, we're all, they've already got us in the matrix.

01:46:45.000 In the Matrix and most people actually sit in a subordinate position physically to the TV.

01:46:56.000 Understand that the aggression amongst our children today, I'm talking about six, seven year olds, is the hostility.
