00:00:12.660 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, brothers and sisters and dear friends.

00:00:15.520 Hope you guys are well inshaAllah.

00:00:16.720 So this video that I'm about to do today might be the most important video that I have maybe ever, ever done.

00:00:22.460 Why? Because I came across two videos.

00:00:25.600 One of brother Abu Taymiyyah.

00:00:27.320 This man, he impregnated his own mother and then killed her.

00:00:30.460 And then he buried her in a location that nobody knows about.

00:00:33.000 This person is better than the second who used to pray in the night and massage the feet of his mother?

00:00:37.900 Yes.

00:00:38.380 If the second individual who prays in the night and fasts in the day and he massages the feet of his mother, that is the way.

00:00:44.340 Just having made dua once to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:00:47.980 this person is 110 times worse than the first individual.

00:00:52.520 Ustaz Abu Taymiyyah and the other of another brother called Brother Muhammad on TikTok.

00:00:56.520 I felt sick to my stomach after I watched this video.

00:01:01.220 The man behind me claims to be a Muslim educator.

00:01:04.580 In his video, he says that if a person asks Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:01:11.160 to make dua for him, 0.97

00:01:14.220 that is 110 times worse than committing fornication with your own mother. 0.97

00:01:21.160 Now, the video is obviously be warned about this individual,

00:01:25.580 but we're going to be talking about which one of the two that we're talking about and why.

00:01:30.160 So, a video was shared by Abu Taymiyyah, Ustaz Abu Taymiyyah,

00:01:33.100 that he is saying that, and he gave an example.

00:01:36.720 And why did he give this example?

00:01:38.040 In this video, we're going to dissect step by step,

00:01:40.920 what is shirk?

00:01:42.400 And what can lead to shirk?

00:01:44.900 And we're going to discuss that because, to me,

00:01:46.620 when I saw that video and I saw the reaction on,

00:01:49.600 I'm not on Twitter, but some stuff on Twitter and etc.

00:01:51.640 and people messaging me,

00:01:52.920 it really, really made me realize where the ummah is at.

00:01:57.620 And sadly, when it comes to shirk and tawheed,

00:02:00.060 it just proved to me, once again,

00:02:02.780 so how far we are from understanding

00:02:05.300 the severity of shirk and what tawheed really entails.

00:02:08.820 Now, before I start the video, brothers and sisters,

00:02:10.900 I want this to be also an example

00:02:12.320 because recently, as you guys know,

00:02:14.520 our brother Sajid has once again attacked another du'at

00:02:17.900 and obviously deemed him to be a misguided person.

00:02:21.200 And then we also have our brother Shamsi,

00:02:23.160 who is continuously attacking hijab

00:02:24.480 and finding old videos of his to attack him.

00:02:26.460 Today, I'm going to demonstrate to the brothers who are watching this,

00:02:29.860 be it Abu Musab, be it Shamsi, be it Sajid,

00:02:32.420 or be it any of those who ascribe to the same methodology,

00:02:34.800 that when we come together against shirk and to promote tawheed,

00:02:37.820 this is what it looks like.

00:02:39.700 Because I have personally decided to come together

00:02:42.280 by defending Ustaz Abu Taymiyyah.

00:02:44.080 Why?

00:02:44.620 Not because I want money from him,

00:02:46.160 not because I want him to give me a shout-out,

00:02:47.820 not because I want anything from him,

00:02:49.320 but for the mere fact that what he's saying is the truth

00:02:51.720 and that people are attacking and making it seem

00:02:55.280 as if what he has said is somehow weird.

00:02:58.200 And I actually find those people weird

00:02:59.960 who think what he said was weird.

00:03:01.680 How?

00:03:01.940 Now, let's dissect what is shirk, brothers and sisters.

00:03:06.220 Shirk is anybody ascribing partners to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:03:10.380 This can be done in different ways.

00:03:11.960 The Quraysh used to do it by worshipping the idols. 0.97

00:03:15.140 Yes?

00:03:15.680 And for example, to ascribe,

00:03:17.320 like the Christians who ascribe that Jesus is the Son of God. 0.88

00:03:19.700 Yes?

00:03:20.060 It's a form of shirk. 0.75

00:03:20.800 To those who take the mother of Jesus, 0.92

00:03:23.920 peace be upon him,

00:03:24.420 as a deity like the Catholics do. 0.97

00:03:26.480 Those who give the attributes

00:03:27.900 and the names of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:03:29.200 to the creation.

00:03:30.920 And the list goes on.

00:03:31.740 Shirk comes in different forms.

00:03:33.060 There's shirk Akbar and there's shirk Askar,

00:03:35.040 brothers and sisters.

00:03:35.780 We're going to be talking about shirk Akbar.

00:03:37.560 That what is these things that are so dangerous?

00:03:40.380 Just so we understand the concept of what shirk is,

00:03:42.960 in front of you is going to be a video

00:03:44.520 that shows our planet,

00:03:47.460 our planet compared to other planets and other galaxies.

00:03:49.820 The reason I'm playing this video is so you,

00:03:52.900 I'm a layman,

00:03:53.800 and I'm sure most of my viewers are laymen as well.

00:03:55.820 They understand how mighty Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is.

00:03:59.220 So as you're watching this video,

00:04:00.740 please look at it carefully.

00:04:02.420 Because as I'm speaking,

00:04:03.260 you're going to be seeing different planets

00:04:04.420 and you're thinking,

00:04:05.020 brother Ali, what's this got to do with shirk and tawheed?

00:04:06.920 You will understand very clearly soon.

00:04:08.620 You will see,

00:04:09.540 as our planet compared to the stars

00:04:12.020 and the Milky Way and the galaxy,

00:04:13.640 you're going to be blown away.

00:04:15.540 And I want you guys to envision that,

00:04:18.260 and I'm going to repeat,

00:04:19.120 actually my example is probably going to be 0.56

00:04:21.380 more ludicrous,

00:04:22.780 not ludicrous, 0.90

00:04:23.340 but crossing all lines

00:04:24.780 compared to what Ustall Abu Taimiyah said.

00:04:27.580 Because the reason he gave this example

00:04:29.380 was so you guys can understand the severity.

00:04:32.260 And to me,

00:04:32.820 it seemed like

00:04:33.700 people were more outraged,

00:04:35.720 they were outraged,

00:04:36.920 not because they didn't understand

00:04:38.660 the refutation behind it,

00:04:40.400 but they were more concerned about,

00:04:41.860 oh my gosh,

00:04:42.380 did he give an example of somebody

00:04:43.620 having zina with his own mother 0.99

00:04:45.160 and then killing her 1.00

00:04:47.540 and then burying her somewhere. 1.00

00:04:48.980 People were more disgusted with that,

00:04:50.780 I believe,

00:04:51.560 I might be wrong,

00:04:52.540 than what he actually said,

00:04:53.960 than the point he made.

00:04:55.180 I think that's the problem.

00:04:56.200 So I'm going to repeat that

00:04:57.180 so we understand.

00:04:58.620 And I'll give another example.

00:05:00.180 Imagine somebody,

00:05:01.160 and this is how severe shirk is,

00:05:03.900 I repeat.

00:05:04.780 Imagine somebody

00:05:05.540 who commits zina, 0.99

00:05:07.100 intercourse with his mum, 0.97

00:05:08.280 with his dad,

00:05:09.140 with his brother,

00:05:09.880 with his sister.

00:05:10.540 On top of that, 0.99

00:05:11.700 he decapitates all of them. 0.99

00:05:14.240 On top of that, 1.00

00:05:15.100 he sets their body on fire. 0.97

00:05:16.440 On top of that, 1.00

00:05:17.160 he urinated on them. 0.95

00:05:18.540 On top of that,

00:05:19.600 he throws the body around.

00:05:21.660 Yeah, whatever it may be,

00:05:22.160 I'm trying to make it

00:05:22.660 as crazy as possible

00:05:23.760 for you guys.

00:05:24.460 Yeah?

00:05:25.440 Are you disgusted of that,

00:05:26.640 Fort?

00:05:27.140 I am.

00:05:27.960 I feel sick to my stomach.

00:05:29.460 The fact that a person

00:05:30.620 who can do that to his family,

00:05:31.960 and imagine his family

00:05:32.680 was the best family to him,

00:05:34.720 so they did nothing wrong.

00:05:36.040 Not that anybody deserves this,

00:05:37.080 even if they did wrong or not.

00:05:38.600 So now imagine this.

00:05:40.220 How bad is that?

00:05:41.180 Now, every single one of you guys

00:05:42.120 are going to be like,

00:05:42.540 oh my gosh, 1.00

00:05:42.960 what kind of a disgusting man? 1.00

00:05:44.140 What kind of a vile person? 1.00

00:05:45.860 This man deserves hellfire forever. 0.99

00:05:48.060 And I would agree with you. 0.87

00:05:49.500 I would agree with you.

00:05:50.700 Yes?

00:05:51.220 I would, you know, 0.98

00:05:52.560 agree that they should deserve hellfire 0.98

00:05:53.760 for a very long time. 0.96

00:05:55.160 Now, put shirk

00:05:56.520 into perspective.

00:05:58.520 Shirk is one quadrillion,

00:06:00.460 billion,

00:06:01.260 trillion,

00:06:01.640 if there's any more numbers

00:06:02.280 that you can add,

00:06:02.780 infinite,

00:06:03.880 times worse than that.

00:06:06.420 The video that you saw

00:06:07.320 in front of you

00:06:07.820 of the planets

00:06:08.400 and universe and galaxies

00:06:09.180 that you're watching,

00:06:10.100 this is how mighty Allah is

00:06:11.940 and how great he is.

00:06:14.340 For somebody to come and say,

00:06:16.420 oh,

00:06:17.360 the one who created all of that,

00:06:18.860 wow,

00:06:19.440 I'm going to go now

00:06:20.460 and thank an idol.

00:06:23.020 I'm going to go now

00:06:24.640 and thank this person

00:06:26.000 instead of,

00:06:26.480 I'm going to give the attributes

00:06:27.380 and the gratitude

00:06:28.760 that I should give to Allah 0.99

00:06:29.600 to this person.

00:06:31.080 Now, let's come to

00:06:32.040 the people

00:06:33.520 in the Muslim,

00:06:34.820 in the Muslim,

00:06:36.020 in Muslim sect

00:06:36.600 who go and do this

00:06:38.920 with the Prophet Muhammad,

00:06:39.780 peace be upon him.

00:06:40.360 And this is exactly

00:06:41.220 what Ustaz Abu Taymiyyah

00:06:42.300 was talking about

00:06:43.220 when you go.

00:06:44.700 Now, there's three categories

00:06:45.920 this is broken into.

00:06:47.880 Now,

00:06:48.140 the first one is what?

00:06:49.820 That a person believes,

00:06:52.540 we're not doing

00:06:52.960 takfir of anybody,

00:06:53.840 we're talking about

00:06:54.300 a specific individual.

00:06:56.220 A person believes

00:06:57.140 that the only way

00:06:58.760 that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 1.00

00:07:00.180 can hear his dua

00:07:00.940 or accept his dua

00:07:01.940 or answer his dua

00:07:02.800 is that he has to,

00:07:05.340 I'll repeat again,

00:07:06.180 he has to

00:07:07.120 ask the Messenger of Allah

00:07:09.260 sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:07:10.840 This is Shirk Akbar.

00:07:12.420 So, you know,

00:07:12.860 I mentioned to you guys

00:07:13.600 about the person

00:07:14.120 who murdered his family

00:07:14.720 that person

00:07:16.460 is a better person

00:07:17.400 than this person.

00:07:18.960 I'll repeat again, yeah?

00:07:20.600 That person

00:07:21.360 is a better person

00:07:22.200 than this person.

00:07:22.780 Why?

00:07:23.560 Because remember

00:07:24.120 we talked about

00:07:24.640 how severe Shirk is?

00:07:26.200 Yeah?

00:07:26.580 Just because you cannot

00:07:27.300 fathom and understand it

00:07:28.420 does not mean

00:07:29.520 that it's less.

00:07:31.060 The rights of Allah 0.98

00:07:31.980 is worse than that.

00:07:33.340 If you look at that person

00:07:34.240 who committed those atrocities

00:07:35.100 to his family

00:07:35.560 and you believe 0.98

00:07:36.240 he deserves hellfire,

00:07:37.240 you should think more of that 0.56

00:07:39.060 when it comes to Shirk.

00:07:40.380 So, a person who thinks

00:07:41.440 the only way

00:07:42.560 Allah will answer my dua 0.99

00:07:43.520 and accept it

00:07:44.180 is if I mention

00:07:45.620 the Prophet Muhammad

00:07:46.160 peace be upon him

00:07:46.560 or I go through him.

00:07:48.060 This is Shirk Akbar.

00:07:49.920 The highest form of Shirk. 0.95

00:07:51.100 And it takes one

00:07:51.880 at the fold of Islam

00:07:52.680 if they believe this.

00:07:55.100 Yes?

00:07:55.880 And if they are an awan

00:07:57.120 they don't know

00:07:57.520 that's a whole different story.

00:07:58.240 We'll come to that later.

00:07:59.180 Now, the second type.

00:08:00.500 The second type

00:08:01.360 is an individual

00:08:02.200 around the world

00:08:03.180 whoever they may be

00:08:03.920 they are sitting at their house

00:08:05.160 and they say

00:08:05.900 Ya Rasulullah

00:08:06.700 can you give Shifa

00:08:08.020 to my daughter

00:08:08.780 or to my son?

00:08:10.600 When they're doing that

00:08:11.640 doing this

00:08:12.100 what are they doing?

00:08:13.040 They are giving

00:08:13.880 the attribute of Allah

00:08:15.220 subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:08:15.840 to the creation.

00:08:18.300 Yes?

00:08:18.920 Even though the Prophet 0.98

00:08:19.540 sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:08:19.860 has passed away.

00:08:21.500 They are basically saying

00:08:22.680 that the Messenger of Allah

00:08:23.640 can hear them

00:08:24.900 at the location they're at

00:08:26.720 just like Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.98

00:08:28.200 can hear them.

00:08:29.240 This is also Shirk Akbar.

00:08:31.280 The most severest form of Shirk 0.99

00:08:32.460 that take one

00:08:33.100 at the fold of Islam.

00:08:34.600 So, we're not doing

00:08:35.160 mass takfir of anyone.

00:08:35.960 We're saying

00:08:36.160 if anybody believes this.

00:08:37.480 Yeah?

00:08:37.600 And this person

00:08:39.280 who does this

00:08:40.280 who's calling out

00:08:41.200 to the Messenger of Allah

00:08:41.980 yes?

00:08:43.060 Is worse than a person

00:08:44.400 that killed

00:08:44.900 like I mentioned

00:08:45.600 his whole family

00:08:46.280 and did all that kind of madness. 0.99

00:08:47.820 This person is worse than that. 0.59

00:08:49.680 I know.

00:08:50.620 Like you said

00:08:51.100 like you see the news behind me.

00:08:52.940 It's a bitter truth

00:08:53.740 but it's the truth.

00:08:54.840 It's bitter but it's the truth.

00:08:56.340 Now the third type

00:08:57.220 the scholars talk about

00:08:57.940 is somebody who travels to Medina

00:08:59.480 goes to the grave

00:09:00.640 of the Prophet Muhammad

00:09:01.220 peace be upon him

00:09:01.760 and then

00:09:02.840 asks him

00:09:03.980 and says

00:09:04.340 oh Messenger of Allah

00:09:05.220 ask Allah

00:09:06.460 for A, B and C

00:09:08.180 for me.

00:09:09.220 Now the scholars differ.

00:09:10.420 Ibn Taymiyyah

00:09:10.940 said that this is bitter

00:09:12.160 but did he mean bitter

00:09:13.600 in the term of like

00:09:14.340 it's something that

00:09:15.320 can be Shirk?

00:09:16.720 And some of the scholars

00:09:17.340 said it's Shirk.

00:09:18.540 Now I want to

00:09:19.400 rewind

00:09:20.520 I want to slow down a bit.

00:09:21.980 Yeah?

00:09:22.320 I want to make this

00:09:23.000 a little bit more

00:09:23.780 palatable for all of us.

00:09:26.460 Me personally

00:09:27.160 to see how severe

00:09:28.860 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.81

00:09:29.480 talks about Shirk

00:09:30.180 and how many times

00:09:31.680 Allah talks about 0.98

00:09:32.220 Tawheed and his oneness

00:09:33.100 and his oneness

00:09:33.560 and that

00:09:33.900 when we recite

00:09:35.040 the Surah Fatihah 0.55

00:09:36.060 Iyyaka Na'abudu

00:09:37.060 wa Iyyaka Nastayin

00:09:38.060 You alone we worship

00:09:39.900 and you alone

00:09:41.000 we ask for help.

00:09:42.200 No more in the ayah

00:09:43.020 did it say

00:09:43.540 you alone

00:09:44.440 and the Messenger

00:09:45.020 of Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:09:46.200 alone we ask

00:09:47.180 and you alone

00:09:48.340 and the Messenger

00:09:48.700 of Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:09:49.200 we seek help

00:09:50.400 and we ask

00:09:50.920 we worship

00:09:51.880 and we help.

00:09:52.520 Okay worship no

00:09:53.060 we ask for help.

00:09:54.380 The ayah doesn't say that.

00:09:55.740 So the point I'm trying to say is

00:09:56.860 Shirk is such a severe thing 0.94

00:09:58.440 that I will not go near it

00:10:00.480 with a barge pole.

00:10:02.020 So if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.97

00:10:02.960 tells us in the Quran

00:10:03.760 wa la taqrabu zina

00:10:05.020 don't even come near zina 0.98

00:10:06.540 I know shirk is worse than that. 1.00

00:10:08.960 Maybe zina is on the third category 1.00

00:10:10.200 after murder.

00:10:11.120 If I'm not going to even come

00:10:12.160 close to zina

00:10:12.600 I should flee

00:10:13.940 the opposite direction

00:10:15.260 towards the other side of the galaxy

00:10:16.680 when it comes to shirk.

00:10:18.420 This is the point.

00:10:19.640 Now

00:10:19.860 let's talk about

00:10:21.100 what is wasilah.

00:10:22.960 Now some people have a misconception

00:10:24.200 that us Wahhabis

00:10:25.660 yes

00:10:26.100 Wahabi

00:10:26.820 or how you want to pronounce it

00:10:27.640 with a V or a W

00:10:28.340 you know it doesn't really matter

00:10:29.360 is that we follow

00:10:30.600 Shaykh Abdullah

00:10:31.140 Shaykh ibn

00:10:32.700 Abdul Wahhab

00:10:33.460 yes

00:10:34.020 and look

00:10:34.860 at the end of the day

00:10:35.580 he was a human being

00:10:36.260 he was not infallible

00:10:37.240 there's things that he did

00:10:38.440 which was wrong

00:10:38.960 but he was a man

00:10:40.440 who came

00:10:41.160 and at the time

00:10:41.900 when Saudi Arabia

00:10:42.640 the Arabian Peninsula

00:10:43.400 was indulged in shirk again

00:10:44.940 he came and cleansed that

00:10:46.120 we give credit

00:10:47.100 where it's due

00:10:47.600 and he did a lot of things

00:10:49.320 to re-establish Tawheed

00:10:50.760 yes

00:10:51.360 okay

00:10:51.860 so now we are called

00:10:53.240 Wahhabi and Wahhabi 1.00

00:10:54.140 whatever you want to call us

00:10:54.920 okay

00:10:55.180 now wasilah

00:10:56.260 we believe in wasilah

00:10:57.520 so some people think

00:10:58.220 this misconception

00:10:58.940 we believe wasilah

00:11:00.040 can be done in three ways

00:11:01.140 number one

00:11:01.960 you can invoke

00:11:03.000 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's names

00:11:04.100 yes

00:11:04.640 you can call by his majestic names

00:11:06.160 and say oh Allah

00:11:06.800 you know I actually did this myself

00:11:08.260 I can remember you know

00:11:08.860 I was actually looking to get married

00:11:09.940 and things were getting a little peak

00:11:11.180 so I you know used to

00:11:12.560 not that I used to always

00:11:13.300 work out for qiyam or nothing 1.00

00:11:14.240 but it was desperate times

00:11:15.320 called for desperate measures

00:11:16.080 so when I used to work out for qiyam

00:11:17.220 I called out by Allah's names 1.00

00:11:18.700 his glorious names

00:11:19.720 that oh Allah grant me

00:11:20.860 a righteous wife

00:11:21.680 it can be done

00:11:22.920 or the other way is

00:11:24.380 like we know the hadith

00:11:25.040 of the Prophet Muhammad

00:11:25.700 peace be upon him

00:11:26.400 of the man

00:11:27.200 the three people who were in a cave

00:11:28.580 and there was a big rock

00:11:30.180 that was closing it

00:11:31.280 and each of them mentioned

00:11:32.660 a deed that they did

00:11:33.820 and the rock moved a little bit

00:11:35.500 and a little bit

00:11:36.300 so we know

00:11:37.040 that we can say

00:11:38.000 oh Allah

00:11:38.420 if I abstain from this sin

00:11:40.320 or I did this good deed

00:11:41.700 for your sake

00:11:42.560 please grant my du'a

00:11:44.080 and Allah loves those servants

00:11:45.720 that ask him

00:11:46.320 now

00:11:46.980 go into the example

00:11:48.240 of asking somebody

00:11:49.980 now brother Muhammad

00:11:51.600 made it seem

00:11:53.140 like the comments that I saw

00:11:54.240 he gave the ayah

00:11:54.880 from Surah Nisa

00:11:55.440 verse 64

00:11:56.380 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.81

00:11:57.880 sorry Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.94

00:11:58.900 says

00:11:59.140 we did not send any messenger

00:12:00.780 but to be obeyed

00:12:01.780 by the leave of Allah 0.97

00:12:02.820 had they after having

00:12:04.080 wronged themselves

00:12:04.620 come to you

00:12:05.200 and sought forgiveness

00:12:05.840 from you

00:12:06.260 from Allah

00:12:06.980 and had the messenger

00:12:08.380 prayed for their forgiveness

00:12:09.240 they would have certainly

00:12:10.320 have found Allah

00:12:10.980 most relenting

00:12:11.660 most merciful

00:12:12.220 now we don't deny that

00:12:14.100 but where in that

00:12:15.100 does it say

00:12:15.660 that this is talking

00:12:16.960 about the present

00:12:17.740 yes it's talking

00:12:18.500 about that moment

00:12:19.280 if they came

00:12:20.100 and asked for forgiveness

00:12:20.760 where in that

00:12:21.540 does it say

00:12:21.900 when after the messenger

00:12:22.880 has died

00:12:23.440 you can go and seek

00:12:24.360 forgiveness from him

00:12:25.340 where does it say

00:12:26.540 that how are you

00:12:27.000 twisting this ayah 0.92

00:12:27.900 to mean that

00:12:28.400 which is very bizarre

00:12:29.640 and secondly

00:12:30.680 when did we ever say

00:12:31.640 that we cannot go

00:12:32.880 and ask somebody

00:12:33.480 we just have free conditions

00:12:34.580 which is that

00:12:35.060 they have to be capable

00:12:35.800 they have to be present

00:12:36.580 and they have to be alive

00:12:37.360 Umar ibn Qattab

00:12:38.520 is a fine example

00:12:39.280 that he went

00:12:40.460 to the uncle

00:12:40.860 of the prophet

00:12:41.240 Muhammad 0.63

00:12:41.480 peace be upon him

00:12:42.060 and he said

00:12:42.780 that we used to go

00:12:43.560 to the message of Allah

00:12:44.420 when there was issues

00:12:45.300 when it came to drought

00:12:46.320 or famine

00:12:47.160 or whatever it may be

00:12:47.840 and we used to ask him

00:12:48.560 to make dua

00:12:49.000 now we are coming to you

00:12:51.260 so that you can make a dua

00:12:52.740 did they go to his grave

00:12:54.220 was he dead

00:12:54.880 no he wasn't

00:12:55.640 did they say

00:12:56.340 oh wait

00:12:56.680 hold on a second

00:12:57.220 the message of Allah

00:12:58.200 his grave is there

00:12:59.560 why don't we go

00:13:00.420 and invoke him

00:13:01.000 why don't we go

00:13:01.620 and ask him

00:13:02.080 do you have a single evidence

00:13:03.660 of the companions

00:13:04.700 ever in any difficulty

00:13:06.400 going to the prophet

00:13:08.000 sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:13:08.500 grave and asking him

00:13:09.920 no you don't

00:13:11.860 now if you don't

00:13:12.880 what we are seeing

00:13:13.500 is then

00:13:13.780 why are you angry with us

00:13:15.020 that we are trying

00:13:15.660 to follow the sunnah

00:13:16.640 where is the example

00:13:18.280 that please show us

00:13:19.720 that at one moment

00:13:20.980 when the companions

00:13:21.840 went through so much issues

00:13:22.980 that they went to the grave

00:13:24.260 of the prophet

00:13:24.760 sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:13:25.420 and said

00:13:26.100 oh messenger of Allah

00:13:26.880 please help us

00:13:27.860 ask Allah to help us

00:13:29.260 they didn't

00:13:30.860 yes

00:13:31.160 so the point

00:13:32.280 that we are seeing

00:13:32.720 us Wahhabis 0.99

00:13:33.700 or Wahhabis 1.00

00:13:34.220 that you want to call to

00:13:34.960 is why go and risk

00:13:37.080 your hereafter

00:13:37.900 to something

00:13:39.320 we are talking about

00:13:39.940 shirk

00:13:40.280 we are not talking

00:13:41.100 about gambling

00:13:41.620 we are not talking

00:13:42.180 about murder

00:13:42.660 we are not talking

00:13:43.340 about zina

00:13:43.800 we are not talking

00:13:44.420 about alcohol

00:13:45.340 we are talking

00:13:46.140 about shirk

00:13:47.000 that Allah says

00:13:47.980 he will never forgive

00:13:48.940 why would you

00:13:50.760 go down the risk

00:13:51.680 and go down that route

00:13:53.060 and take a risk

00:13:54.520 when you can ask

00:13:55.860 Allah directly 0.90

00:13:56.480 why do I need

00:13:57.260 to invoke the prophet

00:13:58.100 sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:13:58.760 now some people say

00:14:00.260 oh it's cause you know

00:14:01.040 we are you know

00:14:01.760 we are honouring

00:14:02.540 the prophet Muhammad

00:14:03.140 peace be upon him

00:14:03.680 we are going to

00:14:04.660 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.81

00:14:05.240 directly

00:14:05.700 and you guys know

00:14:06.800 very well

00:14:07.100 if you guys don't know

00:14:07.820 the ayah in the Quran

00:14:08.860 when the messenger

00:14:09.480 of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:14:10.240 died

00:14:10.640 many companies

00:14:11.820 were destroyed

00:14:12.500 and Abu Bakr

00:14:13.700 gave the ayah 0.99

00:14:14.800 which said

00:14:15.620 in a nutshell

00:14:16.580 paraphrasing

00:14:17.820 that those of you

00:14:19.500 yes basically

00:14:20.260 messengers have come 0.71

00:14:20.880 before and they will die

00:14:22.180 that are you going to

00:14:23.320 turn back on your heels

00:14:24.180 yes

00:14:24.840 meaning that Allah

00:14:26.240 is the ever living

00:14:27.020 he gave that example

00:14:28.280 did Abu Bakr

00:14:29.080 go to any of the companions

00:14:30.260 and said

00:14:30.500 by the way

00:14:30.940 you guys are very upset

00:14:32.000 but don't worry

00:14:32.500 we can still go to his grave

00:14:33.360 and ask him

00:14:34.260 don't be upset

00:14:35.200 no

00:14:35.840 he reminded the companions

00:14:37.400 that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 1.00

00:14:39.260 is the ever living

00:14:40.140 he's trying to point out something

00:14:41.580 and if you read

00:14:42.520 if you read Ibn Kathir

00:14:43.780 if I'm not mistaken

00:14:44.380 he says that

00:14:45.180 when Abdullah ibn Abbas

00:14:46.000 heard this

00:14:46.460 he said

00:14:46.980 when we heard this ayah

00:14:48.060 it's as if

00:14:49.060 it was the first time

00:14:50.040 we heard it

00:14:50.520 why

00:14:50.980 because Allah says

00:14:51.960 remind

00:14:52.820 for reminder benefits

00:14:53.920 a believer

00:14:54.380 in a moment of distress

00:14:55.780 they probably forgot

00:14:56.600 and when they realised

00:14:57.520 that they thought

00:14:57.860 wow subhanallah

00:14:58.500 that was a powerful reminder

00:15:00.480 now for those

00:15:01.900 who say

00:15:02.500 but even if I go to

00:15:03.720 the message of Allah

00:15:04.500 be at Medina

00:15:05.300 or where I am etc

00:15:06.460 I still believe in Allah

00:15:07.700 well guess what

00:15:09.280 and obviously

00:15:09.920 I'm not talking to you guys

00:15:10.760 just so you can understand

00:15:11.780 what shirk is

00:15:12.580 Iblis 0.96

00:15:13.620 believed in Allah

00:15:14.640 he affirmed

00:15:15.720 Allah is his lord

00:15:16.520 he even asked Allah

00:15:17.900 for respect

00:15:18.440 to the day of judgment

00:15:19.080 he asked Allah

00:15:19.880 for permission

00:15:20.280 so

00:15:21.080 Iblis also believed in Allah

00:15:22.980 now let's go a bit

00:15:24.440 you know

00:15:24.900 a bit lower than Iblis

00:15:26.200 let's go to the

00:15:27.180 Mushrikeen 1.00

00:15:27.580 now the Mushrikeen 0.99

00:15:28.740 at the time

00:15:29.620 long time

00:15:30.340 you know

00:15:30.880 before the whole

00:15:31.400 idol thing happened

00:15:32.160 that

00:15:32.980 they used to be

00:15:33.900 a righteous person

00:15:34.620 who used to serve pilgrims

00:15:35.780 yes

00:15:36.220 and

00:15:37.140 if I'm saying

00:15:37.860 the name was

00:15:38.200 Allah

00:15:38.380 something like that

00:15:39.220 yeah

00:15:39.380 and they named

00:15:40.380 the idol after him

00:15:41.420 he was a righteous servant

00:15:42.640 who passed away

00:15:43.600 he passed away

00:15:46.260 when he passed away

00:15:47.540 obviously

00:15:48.100 the first generation

00:15:49.240 that was there

00:15:50.820 when they saw him

00:15:51.760 passing away

00:15:52.200 they remembered him

00:15:52.860 as doing good things

00:15:53.700 etc

00:15:54.020 and they told their children

00:15:55.680 that there was this

00:15:56.220 righteous man

00:15:56.720 who used to do this

00:15:57.380 and then when they

00:15:58.340 passed away

00:15:58.920 you know

00:15:59.260 they got the grave

00:16:00.500 and turned it into

00:16:01.440 maybe a little bit of

00:16:02.120 you know

00:16:02.260 a tomb there

00:16:03.300 or some kind of a

00:16:04.260 you know

00:16:04.800 maybe not exactly an idol

00:16:07.680 but the point I'm saying

00:16:08.760 is that

00:16:09.140 by generation to generation

00:16:10.720 what happened

00:16:11.600 was it evolved

00:16:12.520 it evolved

00:16:13.500 and then the next generation

00:16:14.800 starts saying

00:16:15.920 oh you know

00:16:16.620 this person

00:16:17.180 is a

00:16:17.740 you know

00:16:18.120 an awliya

00:16:18.700 of Allah

00:16:19.000 and the next generation

00:16:20.440 said

00:16:20.700 this person

00:16:21.540 has certain attributes

00:16:23.060 next thing you know

00:16:24.040 they have the idol

00:16:25.160 of Allah

00:16:25.540 yes

00:16:26.600 this is what

00:16:27.380 the mushrikeen did

00:16:28.020 so what

00:16:29.080 is the difference

00:16:30.080 the mushrikeen

00:16:31.200 if you go to the

00:16:31.880 Quran

00:16:33.100 Allah

00:16:33.760 says the following

00:16:34.900 Allah

00:16:35.460 says

00:16:36.200 and listen to this

00:16:36.680 very carefully

00:16:37.220 this is where

00:16:37.740 you will understand

00:16:38.520 exactly

00:16:39.120 that the mushrikeen

00:16:40.360 fell into disbelief

00:16:41.700 even though

00:16:42.480 they believed in Allah

00:16:43.260 you think the mushrikeen

00:16:44.040 didn't believe Allah

00:16:44.580 they did believe in Allah

00:16:45.580 all they said

00:16:46.360 is we're using

00:16:46.880 these idols

00:16:47.540 to get closer to him

00:16:49.060 what does that remind you of

00:16:50.420 closer to him

00:16:51.480 we want to get closer to him

00:16:52.840 we're just going through

00:16:53.740 this person

00:16:54.580 to get closer to him

00:16:55.560 now you might say

00:16:56.220 how are you equating

00:16:57.300 a false idol

00:16:58.080 a dead idol

00:16:58.780 an idol that's not even alive

00:17:00.060 to noble people

00:17:01.780 like the message of Allah

00:17:02.480 the point is not that

00:17:04.160 Allah was once a righteous person 1.00

00:17:05.920 that they turned into

00:17:06.520 the point is that

00:17:07.700 you are going through

00:17:09.480 a other means

00:17:10.540 do you think if you go in front of Allah

00:17:11.540 and say

00:17:11.780 oh

00:17:12.320 I went through

00:17:14.240 the message of Allah

00:17:15.420 to come close to you

00:17:16.380 well the mushrikeen will say

00:17:17.220 well I just went through

00:17:17.840 the idol

00:17:18.480 what's the difference

00:17:19.000 why is he going through

00:17:20.160 why is he going to Jannah

00:17:21.040 and I'm going to hellfire

00:17:21.700 the point is this

00:17:22.740 now listen to the ayah

00:17:23.520 they say

00:17:24.200 say

00:17:24.560 who is the lord of the seven heavens

00:17:26.420 and the lord of the great throne

00:17:27.820 what would the mushrikeen say

00:17:29.340 would they

00:17:30.160 ascribe it to Allah

00:17:31.140 would they

00:17:31.840 ascribe it to the idols

00:17:33.420 no they wouldn't

00:17:34.340 they'll say

00:17:34.800 they'll say

00:17:35.960 all

00:17:36.500 all this belongs to Allah

00:17:38.300 say

00:17:39.040 would you still not feel Allah

00:17:40.080 say

00:17:40.580 who is the one

00:17:41.660 in whose hand lies

00:17:42.680 the kingdom of everything

00:17:44.200 and who gives protection

00:17:45.260 do you not believe that

00:17:46.560 do I not believe that

00:17:47.400 guess what

00:17:48.000 the mushrikeen also believe that

00:17:49.100 and no protection can be given

00:17:51.300 against him

00:17:51.840 if you have knowledge

00:17:52.620 what would they say

00:17:53.860 would they say

00:17:54.580 Allah

00:17:54.800 no

00:17:55.360 they will say Allah 0.87

00:17:56.400 say then by which magic 0.97

00:17:58.440 are you drawn crazy

00:17:59.660 the point is

00:18:01.000 it's like

00:18:01.240 look at what Allah 1.00

00:18:01.920 is saying

00:18:02.300 by which magic

00:18:03.680 Allah is saying 0.84

00:18:04.200 Allah is saying 0.84

00:18:05.620 you know this fact

00:18:07.260 that Allah is the creator

00:18:08.340 of the heavens and the earth

00:18:09.040 and the sustainer

00:18:09.720 and he gives you everything

00:18:10.860 yet you still go to the idols

00:18:13.040 yet you still go to them

00:18:14.700 and say what

00:18:15.120 we're just going through them

00:18:16.520 to get closer to Allah

00:18:17.560 we are going through them

00:18:18.620 because they were righteous

00:18:20.080 and Abdullah bin Abbas

00:18:21.080 when he's giving commentary

00:18:21.760 of this ayah

00:18:22.480 he's saying

00:18:23.140 when you ask them

00:18:23.980 they will affirm

00:18:24.840 Allah did this 0.99

00:18:25.420 Allah, Allah, Allah

00:18:26.140 Allah is a creator

00:18:26.680 Allah created heaven

00:18:27.640 the earth

00:18:27.980 the mountains

00:18:28.400 everything

00:18:28.760 yes

00:18:29.320 but they're still mushrikeen

00:18:30.260 so brothers and sisters

00:18:32.440 in a nutshell

00:18:33.140 the point that I'm saying

00:18:34.060 is that

00:18:34.800 we have ample evidence

00:18:35.900 and the question is

00:18:36.980 even if we didn't

00:18:38.760 why would we even get

00:18:40.400 close to shirk

00:18:41.060 when Allah is talking about 0.99

00:18:41.920 over and over again

00:18:42.460 imagine your mum

00:18:43.520 warns you about something

00:18:44.840 and tells you

00:18:45.340 you see that house there

00:18:46.080 don't go in that house

00:18:47.940 don't go near that house

00:18:48.780 and she repeats it

00:18:49.660 every day

00:18:50.160 every day

00:18:50.700 every day

00:18:51.180 every day

00:18:51.660 in out

00:18:52.160 day in

00:18:53.100 day out

00:18:53.560 you're going to be thinking

00:18:54.680 there's something my mum knows

00:18:56.220 and she's trying to protect me from

00:18:57.860 I'm not going to go to that house

00:19:00.080 but imagine somebody else

00:19:02.100 comes and goes

00:19:02.540 no no no no

00:19:03.380 your mum didn't mean that

00:19:04.700 you know

00:19:05.280 you can't

00:19:05.980 come on guys

00:19:06.880 why risk your hereafter

00:19:09.100 for a mere slip up

00:19:11.560 a slip up

00:19:12.880 that can cost you

00:19:13.800 eternal hellfire

00:19:14.900 and I'm going to end on this

00:19:16.300 when you watch the debate

00:19:17.640 between Ustaz Abdul Rahman Hassan

00:19:18.900 and

00:19:19.940 Asra Rashid

00:19:21.840 you know

00:19:22.980 when that talk was happening

00:19:24.180 you can watch the debate

00:19:24.740 most things went over my head

00:19:25.920 one thing stuck with me

00:19:27.840 to this day

00:19:28.380 you know what that thing is

00:19:29.260 and this is when I understood

00:19:31.580 subhanAllah

00:19:32.820 that how dangerous

00:19:33.900 some belief systems are

00:19:35.540 when the debate ended

00:19:37.360 should we say our side

00:19:39.080 the Wahhabi side

00:19:40.040 was

00:19:40.520 we said

00:19:41.420 takbir

00:19:41.920 Allahu Akbar

00:19:42.760 guess what the other side said

00:19:44.440 yeah

00:19:45.440 I think

00:19:46.860 I can't remember

00:19:47.440 something

00:19:47.800 Ya Rasulullah

00:19:48.640 and I was thinking

00:19:49.860 oh my gosh

00:19:50.420 one side is saying

00:19:51.120 Allahu Akbar

00:19:51.700 Allah is great

00:19:52.300 the other one is saying

00:19:53.140 Ya Rasulullah

00:19:53.700 like as if we deny

00:19:55.060 the message of Allah

00:19:55.760 when that was said

00:19:57.320 the penny dropped for me

00:19:58.080 and I said nah nah this is madness

00:19:59.060 for a layman like myself

00:20:00.760 just seeing one praising Allah 0.94

00:20:02.560 and the other one

00:20:03.080 praising the Prophet

00:20:03.660 compared to Allah

00:20:04.600 I was like nah this is madness

00:20:06.360 this is crazy

00:20:07.620 some of them will be watching

00:20:08.620 and be like

00:20:09.000 look how he's disregarding

00:20:10.660 the message of Allah

00:20:11.280 really

00:20:12.820 by me saying that

00:20:14.320 we should worship Allah alone 0.99

00:20:15.320 we should honour him

00:20:16.460 we should seek help

00:20:17.640 from him alone

00:20:18.180 that means that

00:20:19.260 I'm disregarding

00:20:20.120 the message of Allah

00:20:20.640 really

00:20:21.400 this is how low

00:20:22.700 you would go

00:20:23.320 to think that

00:20:24.320 the best man to walk this earth

00:20:25.700 the one that we try

00:20:26.860 to defend his honour

00:20:27.540 against his enemies

00:20:28.300 unlike individuals

00:20:29.660 like Sajid and Shamsi

00:20:30.900 who are looking

00:20:31.200 nitpicking

00:20:32.660 to attack believers 0.98

00:20:33.580 we're in the front line

00:20:34.300 trying to defend his honour

00:20:35.300 yes

00:20:35.960 and we are going to be now

00:20:37.820 accused of

00:20:38.280 you know

00:20:38.480 we're looking for

00:20:39.020 you know

00:20:39.280 we're trying to

00:20:40.140 dishonour the Prophet 0.71

00:20:41.000 Sallallahu Alaihi

00:20:41.660 Wallahi

00:20:42.140 be just

00:20:42.940 you know exactly

00:20:44.100 what we're trying to say

00:20:44.760 so instead of twisting this

00:20:46.140 because I know

00:20:46.420 some people do this

00:20:47.100 oh look at

00:20:48.140 no no no

00:20:48.480 Wallahi

00:20:48.800 we're just seeing

00:20:49.380 what is exclusive to Allah 0.97

00:20:50.680 and his right

00:20:51.240 must be given to him

00:20:52.480 that is all we're seeing

00:20:53.600 otherwise we will fall into

00:20:54.940 exactly what the Christians 0.94

00:20:56.260 fell into

00:20:56.740 by taking Jesus

00:20:58.080 peace be upon him

00:20:58.720 and bringing him to a level

00:20:59.880 son of God
