00:00:00.000 The Bible Corrupted 0.99
00:00:09.000 So, is the Bible corrupted?
00:00:11.000 Okay, the topic is finished. Okay.
00:00:13.000 Yes.
00:00:14.000 It is corrupted.
00:00:15.000 It is, yes.
00:00:16.000 Thank you.
00:00:17.000 Now, you make a big deal about believing the Quran
00:00:22.000 as opposed to believing the Bible
00:00:24.000 and how it's important to believe the Quran
00:00:26.000 and, you know, because it's because of the hadith, the hafizurs and all this business.
00:00:32.000 Yes, I only want to say this one thing.
00:00:35.000 Jesus didn't say, believe the Bible 0.82
00:00:39.000 because this is going to be an infallible word translated in your language.
00:00:45.000 In fact, if you read in Revelation, Jesus says that whoever adds to this word
00:00:52.000 then God will add the curses that are written in the book to them
00:00:57.000 and if anyone takes away from this word
00:00:59.000 then God will take their name out of the book of life.
00:01:02.000 So, Jesus already knew that the Bible was going to be corrupted.
00:01:06.000 Jesus never told us to believe in a book.
00:01:10.000 Jesus said this.
00:01:12.000 This is the work of God.
00:01:14.000 Not to study history and church history and who wrote the book of Matthew.
00:01:19.000 But this is the work of God that ye believe on him who he hath sent.
00:01:24.000 And anyone can do that.
00:01:25.000 You don't have to be a church historian to believe in the one who needs it.
00:01:29.000 But is it not contradictory that the very fact that you're doing, you're reading it from a book.
00:01:33.000 Yeah, that's what I was going to say, yeah.
00:01:34.000 You're saying to us we should not mind in what book or what scripture is
00:01:38.000 but yet you're reading it from a book.
00:01:39.000 That's why we have red letter Bible.
00:01:41.000 So we can read the words of Jesus and believe the words of Jesus.
00:01:45.000 What's your name sir?
00:01:46.000 Written in a book.
00:01:47.000 What's your name sir?
00:01:48.000 My name is Richard Dawa.
00:01:49.000 I'm Ali.
00:01:50.000 Richard Dawa.
00:01:51.000 You're Dawa. 1.00
00:01:52.000 Obviously your name is Richard Dawa.
00:01:53.000 My name is Ali Dawa.
00:01:54.000 Ali Dawa.
00:01:55.000 Yeah.
00:01:56.000 Yes, yes.
00:01:57.000 The question that I wanted to ask.
00:02:00.000 If you can come a little bit closer, sorry.
00:02:02.000 The question that I wanted to ask was the following.
00:02:05.000 You claim, and I admire you honestly, that the Bible is corrupted. 0.99
00:02:08.000 But the point that he made that I was going to make also as well.
00:02:11.000 That your source of information of Jesus' divinity, his resurrection, his death is based on a book.
00:02:19.000 But the very book you claim is corrupted.
00:02:21.000 How do you know?
00:02:22.000 Besides the red letter Bible.
00:02:23.000 How do you know even the red letter Bible itself was written or said by Jesus?
00:02:27.000 Because if the book is corrupted, this is my hereafter at risk.
00:02:30.000 If I give you a bottle of water with a drop of poison in it, you will not drink it because the harm it might cause to your body.
00:02:36.000 How are you consuming a scripture that you claim to be corrupted for your soul?
00:02:40.000 Because that's a wrong analogy.
00:02:42.000 To use the idea of water with poison in it is a wrong analogy.
00:02:45.000 Because the truth that is in the Bible is vindicated and it is authenticated by the person who reads it.
00:02:53.000 By the Holy Spirit that comes to the person, visits the person when they read it.
00:02:57.000 I as an atheist read the Bible not believing in God and some things told me that the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount were God's words and they had an immediate impact on my life.
00:03:08.000 And when I responded to them, I met with the person who spoke those words.
00:03:14.000 Because he's alive.
00:03:15.000 That's the meaning of the resurrection is that Jesus is alive now and he can speak to us directly.
00:03:21.000 That's why we believe in a living Messiah, not in a dead book.
00:03:26.000 Okay, Richard, I just want to make something, just a point very clear.
00:03:29.000 Because do we believe that Satan is our enemy?
00:03:32.000 Yes.
00:03:33.000 Okay, Allah tells us to take him as our enemy. 0.67
00:03:35.000 Yeah?
00:03:36.000 Yes.
00:03:37.000 What does Satan want us to do?
00:03:38.000 What's the, what is the pinnacle?
00:03:39.000 Like Satan would want us to maybe commit adultery, rob, murder.
00:03:42.000 But what is the pinnacle of the sins that he would want us to do?
00:03:45.000 Not pray.
00:03:46.000 Or worship other than not?
00:03:47.000 Not pray.
00:03:48.000 Okay, as far as I know.
00:03:49.000 Not pray to God, but instead worship Him.
00:03:51.000 Thank you, thank you.
00:03:52.000 So you've raised a very important point and the same with Islam, yeah? 0.93
00:03:55.000 We believe that shaitan attacks us in six, seven ways, yeah? 1.00
00:03:58.000 He tries to get us to commit shirk. 0.84
00:03:59.000 Worship other than God.
00:04:00.000 If not, then he tries to get us to do innovation.
00:04:02.000 If not innovation, majors.
00:04:03.000 If not majors, minuses, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
00:04:06.000 Now, I want to ask you a question, Richard.
00:04:08.000 How do you know the vision that you had was not Satan?
00:04:11.000 Because what he has got you to do, because what we did is we broke it down.
00:04:14.000 You said, you admitted as well, and I admire your honesty and you being here as well, that the book is not reliable.
00:04:21.000 And therefore we said to you, if it's not reliable, how are you getting, you're reading it?
00:04:24.000 And you said, look.
00:04:25.000 I did say it's not reliable.
00:04:26.000 Corrupted, sorry, corrupted.
00:04:27.000 Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me.
00:04:28.000 You said it's corrupted.
00:04:29.000 And then we said to you, if it's corrupted, then how are you reading it to get the information about Jesus if it's corrupted?
00:04:33.000 Then you said, we rely on the Holy Spirit.
00:04:35.000 Now, the question that I would want to ask is this.
00:04:37.000 How do we know it was not Satan that visited you, gave you this inner feeling that you, in return, have done exactly what he wanted you to do?
00:04:45.000 Worship other than him, other than God Almighty.
00:04:48.000 What is the chance?
00:04:49.000 He said, how do you know?
00:04:50.000 How do you know that he wasn't Satan?
00:04:51.000 No, he said, how do you know?
00:04:52.000 I know.
00:04:53.000 No, how do you know?
00:04:54.000 No, I know.
00:04:55.000 How do you know?
00:04:56.000 Right, that's different.
00:04:57.000 How you know is different from what I know.
00:04:58.000 Yes, how do you know?
00:04:59.000 So, when I talk about my experience, you can accept it or you can reject it.
00:05:04.000 Yes, yes, yes.
00:05:05.000 You are free to do that.
00:05:06.000 But how do you know he's not Satan?
00:05:07.000 No, but my personal experience is, I knew Satan before Jesus met with me.
00:05:12.000 Because I know what Satan looks like.
00:05:14.000 He appeared to me.
00:05:15.000 There are demons.
00:05:17.000 And you can see them.
00:05:18.000 They sometimes appear to you and they're evil stuff.
00:05:21.000 They're evil and they are...
00:05:22.000 But do you think if Satan wants to come and make you do something wrong, do you think he's going to come looking evil?
00:05:26.000 No, that's true, yeah.
00:05:27.000 So, how do you know it wasn't Satan?
00:05:29.000 This is very important.
00:05:30.000 Alright, okay.
00:05:31.000 Because Jesus said, you shall know a tree by its fruits.
00:05:33.000 But that's not my nation.
00:05:34.000 So, he said, no, you can apply it to your life.
00:05:37.000 And I've been a Christian now for 30 years.
00:05:39.000 And before I was a Christian, there was no fruit.
00:05:42.000 What was the fruit in my life was thorns.
00:05:44.000 Yeah?
00:05:45.000 And thistles.
00:05:46.000 That was the fruit in my life.
00:05:48.000 I was selfish.
00:05:49.000 After I had this meeting with who you say was a spirit that could be Satan, hiding himself behind and telling me it's Jesus.
00:05:58.000 And after I had that experience, I've had fruit in my life which is figs and grapes and the stuff that is lasting and good.
00:06:07.000 Yeah?
00:06:08.000 And it's based on the change in my life and the peace that I've got in my life.
00:06:12.000 Satan doesn't give peace.
00:06:14.000 Satan gives turmoil.
00:06:16.000 He makes people agitated.
00:06:18.000 Only God can give you peace.
00:06:20.000 Lasting peace.
00:06:21.000 The world can't give you peace.
00:06:23.000 The peace just, the world just gives you stuff so you want more.
00:06:27.000 And it makes you discontented.
00:06:29.000 Okay.
00:06:30.000 But God has given me contentment.
00:06:32.000 He's given me peace.
00:06:33.000 He's given me love, even to my enemies.
00:06:35.000 And when I've gone through difficulties, he has carried me through and he's been stood next to me.
00:06:40.000 Okay.
00:06:41.000 That is why I know my experience is genuine and the person in my life is God.
00:06:45.000 Okay, Richard, I would personally say everything that...
00:06:47.000 Can I, can I...
00:06:48.000 Can I just...
00:06:49.000 One small word, yeah?
00:06:50.000 Huh?
00:06:51.000 I want to say one small, very important.
00:06:52.000 Sorry.
00:06:53.000 I respect what you say.
00:06:54.000 I respect what he say.
00:06:55.000 As all of us, it doesn't matter, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, everybody born by who believes.
00:07:03.000 Your religion, your religion is rich as you are Christian.
00:07:08.000 I'm Jewish.
00:07:09.000 My religion.
00:07:10.000 I born, I'm Jewish.
00:07:11.000 I like it.
00:07:12.000 He's a Muslim.
00:07:13.000 He born a Muslim.
00:07:14.000 Why?
00:07:15.000 We cannot keep all this.
00:07:17.000 You go to the...
00:07:18.000 Sorry.
00:07:19.000 To the church.
00:07:21.000 He have to go to a mosque. 1.00
00:07:23.000 And he have to go to synagogue.
00:07:25.000 And we have to make one ruse and we live together.
00:07:28.000 Yeah.
00:07:29.000 Okay, we can, we can.
00:07:30.000 Please.
00:07:31.000 I'm 100% agreeing here.
00:07:32.000 Yeah, no, 100%.
00:07:33.000 Like...
00:07:34.000 Thank you very much.
00:07:35.000 You have to go...
00:07:36.000 No, no, no.
00:07:37.000 Whatever you believe, as you're Christian, in the Bible, whatever, I will live to Torah,
00:07:42.000 I will live to the synagogue. 0.99
00:07:44.000 He is Muslim.
00:07:45.000 He will live to Islam. 1.00
00:07:46.000 You go, do religion in your home, do religion respecting, and we live together.
00:07:52.000 Yes.
00:07:53.000 That's the importance.
00:07:54.000 Yeah.
00:07:55.000 It's not Muslim said.
00:07:56.000 Muhammad said.
00:07:57.000 Juju said.
00:07:58.000 That said.
00:07:59.000 There is many things said.
00:08:00.000 Can I...
00:08:01.000 One minute.
00:08:02.000 I haven't finished.
00:08:03.000 We have to live together.
00:08:04.000 Love.
00:08:05.000 Yeah.
00:08:06.000 Doesn't matter.
00:08:07.000 Muhammad bought love.
00:08:08.000 Mujiz bought love.
00:08:09.000 Yeah.
00:08:10.000 Juju bought love.
00:08:11.000 Muhammad bought love.
00:08:12.000 Da'ul bought love.
00:08:13.000 Yeah.
00:08:14.000 No one messenger bought something kill each other.
00:08:15.000 Yeah.
00:08:16.000 So what we can live together.
00:08:17.000 I agree.
00:08:18.000 There is ruse.
00:08:19.000 There is love.
00:08:20.000 Whatever you believe in your home.
00:08:21.000 And we live together.
00:08:22.000 I agree.
00:08:23.000 That's true.
00:08:24.000 100%.
00:08:25.000 Thank you.
00:08:26.000 The thing that I wanted to say.
00:08:27.000 Thank you very much for that.
00:08:28.000 The thing I wanted to say.
00:08:29.000 Is that you said that you went through certain things in life.
00:08:31.000 Yeah.
00:08:32.000 It said you made you a better person.
00:08:33.000 I can say exactly the same to you.
00:08:34.000 I came to Islam.
00:08:35.000 My life changed.
00:08:36.000 I was living for other people.
00:08:37.000 I was a slave to my society.
00:08:39.000 So based on what he's saying.
00:08:41.000 There's no issue.
00:08:42.000 If yours works for you.
00:08:44.000 And mine works for me.
00:08:45.000 Then we should just live in Muhammad. 1.00
00:08:46.000 No, no, no.
00:08:47.000 Look.
00:08:48.000 There's no issue.
00:08:49.000 I perform here.
00:08:50.000 Trying to force you to my way of life.
00:08:51.000 I'm just trying to reason with you.
00:08:52.000 Hopefully.
00:08:53.000 I hope I don't come across.
00:08:54.000 I'm trying to enforce you.
00:08:55.000 I'm just trying to reason with you.
00:08:56.000 We believe in the voluntary principle.
00:08:57.000 Yes.
00:08:58.000 Everyone has free will.
00:08:59.000 Exactly.
00:09:00.000 We believe in liberty and conscience.
00:09:01.000 And people are free to choose.
00:09:02.000 Exactly.
00:09:03.000 So we don't have to win arguments.
00:09:04.000 No, no, no.
00:09:05.000 We don't have to put people down.
00:09:06.000 Exactly.
00:09:07.000 We just need to present our case.
00:09:08.000 100%.
00:09:09.000 And then let people choose for themselves.
00:09:10.000 Let's leave it at that.
00:09:11.000 Let's leave it at that.
00:09:12.000 The only reason I wanted to say what I said.
00:09:14.000 Yeah.
00:09:15.000 Was because you were asking.
00:09:17.000 Yes.
00:09:18.000 Christopher about the Bible.
00:09:19.000 The Bible.
00:09:20.000 I have my honesty Bible.
00:09:21.000 And he was talking about.
00:09:22.000 He was talking about Jesus and Muhammad.
00:09:23.000 Yes.
00:09:24.000 And then when he came to the Bible.
00:09:25.000 Yeah.
00:09:26.000 I just wanted to make that point.
00:09:27.000 Yeah.
00:09:28.000 That one of the differences between Islam and Christianity.
00:09:31.000 Is you make a big deal out of believing in the Quran.
00:09:35.000 Which I respect.
00:09:36.000 But we don't make a big deal out of believing the Bible.
00:09:39.000 Okay.
00:09:40.000 We make a deal out of believing in Jesus.
00:09:41.000 That's what he commanded us.
00:09:43.000 Thank you.
00:09:44.000 Thank you.
00:09:45.000 I really appreciate it.
00:09:46.000 Thank you.
00:09:47.000 It was a brilliant discussion.
00:09:48.000 Brothers and sisters.
00:09:49.000 As you can see we're having nice, fruitful discussions here.
00:09:51.000 We're trying to get rid of that ego.
00:09:53.000 You know, trying to win arguments.
00:09:54.000 We're not here for that.
00:09:55.000 We're here to genuinely discuss with people.
00:09:57.000 Learn.
00:09:58.000 Share the message.
00:09:59.000 My job is to convey the message.
00:10:00.000 We're here to change nobody's heart.
00:10:01.000 So, inshallah.
00:10:02.000 That was a beautiful discussion with Richard.
00:10:03.000 Hope you guys have benefited.
00:10:04.000 Inshallah.
00:10:05.000 Until next time.
00:10:06.000 Assalamualaikum.
00:10:07.000 Wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
