Ali Dawah - HIJABI PLAYBOY ADVICE TO SISTER NOOR TAGOURI

00:00:00.000 As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

00:00:28.600 Brothers and sisters and dear friends, welcome to this video

00:00:30.840 Before I start, I want to praise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.98

00:00:32.880 The most merciful, the most gracious, all praises, glory and gratitude belong to him for the works that we do

00:00:36.980 Now guys, as you guys know, there's been a controversial topic, if I can speak English

00:00:41.080 Regarding the matter of the playboy, the sister who was in the playboy magazine

00:00:45.900 So basically guys, one thing that I want to cover before I start is why we do these videos

00:00:52.760 Because a lot of people have a misconception like, brother Ali, why are you always hating, exposing people, etc

00:00:56.060 One thing that I want to highlight is guys, I don't get paid by YouTube

00:00:59.280 I don't make a single penny on YouTube

00:01:01.240 So I'm not doing it for money, that's number one, yeah

00:01:04.000 Number two, fame

00:01:05.760 Now that's something you have to take my word for because I can't prove it any other ways, yeah

00:01:08.480 It's not about fame

00:01:10.040 Now what is it about?

00:01:11.240 Now we care about our brothers and sisters, yeah

00:01:13.200 We do these videos because we care about you guys

00:01:16.240 Now when doing these videos, we have to weigh up things

00:01:18.280 Now personally me, I like to weigh up things

00:01:20.420 The good and the bad, is it needed, is it necessary

00:01:22.280 And I really thought about it, I was supposed to release this video on Monday

00:01:25.120 And I was thinking and thinking and I thought, you know what

00:01:26.860 Let's just do a little general reminder, you know

00:01:28.360 Because I was looking into the magazine, just to get my facts right, etc

00:01:31.200 Now brothers and sisters, what we need to understand is

00:01:33.440 When advising a public figure, we need to acknowledge one thing

00:01:36.940 We don't want to be sending hate towards the individual, right

00:01:41.160 But what we also need to understand, is that we have sincere nasir

00:01:44.980 And inshallah, sister Noor watches this video

00:01:47.500 Because our main objective is to send this video to us so she can watch it inshallah 0.99

00:01:50.260 Now, we need to understand that these followers, these public figures

00:01:54.240 Have thousands and maybe millions of followers

00:01:56.460 We need to think a way up, okay

00:01:58.020 We might not advise the person for example

00:02:00.260 But how does their actions affect their following

00:02:03.300 So that's why I thought, you know what, if I do a video

00:02:05.280 And just send it to sister Noor, and inshallah she can benefit from it 1.00

00:02:07.880 Now, since we've clarified that

00:02:09.620 And hope you guys believe that I'm doing it for correct reasons

00:02:12.260 Now, I want to address the first point

00:02:14.260 Which was really disturbing for me

00:02:15.700 Is the hate sister Noor has been getting

00:02:17.560 Now, it's really sad that when you read comments in today's society

00:02:21.020 That even there was a rapper who went to Hajj and practiced

00:02:24.220 And I don't need to give his name

00:02:25.100 The hate that he was getting 0.98

00:02:26.980 You're a munafig, you're a kafir, you're this 1.00

00:02:30.480 You're, and for example, swearing at sister Noor 0.96

00:02:33.080 You're a, I'm not even going to mention it 1.00

00:02:34.860 You're this, you're that

00:02:36.080 Talking about her chastity

00:02:38.040 Slander 0.69

00:02:39.180 What, who gives you a right?

00:02:42.200 Just because you think, okay, for example

00:02:44.080 I disagree what sister Noor did 0.98

00:02:45.840 And also, there was other two sister bloggers

00:02:48.740 Who was invited to the Playboy magazine

00:02:51.680 They rejected it, right?

00:02:53.180 Now, we disagree

00:02:54.040 Just because we disagree doesn't mean we hate sister Noor

00:02:56.440 No, she's our sister in the religion

00:02:57.860 And we care about her

00:02:58.800 However, this does not give you a right

00:03:01.380 To go and slander her

00:03:02.740 Call her names 1.00

00:03:03.900 Oh, you're a fake hijabi 1.00

00:03:05.520 Take your hijab off 1.00

00:03:06.700 You're this, you're that 0.99

00:03:07.560 It's absolutely disgusting 0.96

00:03:08.980 We have no right to do that

00:03:10.760 You might not like what has happened

00:03:13.020 Or what she's done

00:03:13.680 Okay, neither do I agree with it

00:03:15.480 But no way, in no way, shape or form

00:03:18.020 Does it give me a right

00:03:19.680 To start slandering the sister

00:03:21.100 She's our sister

00:03:22.280 Maybe she made a mistake

00:03:23.680 And I'm being honest

00:03:24.680 I genuinely don't believe

00:03:26.160 Sister Noor went there with corrupt intentions 1.00

00:03:28.180 Of thinking, you know what

00:03:29.060 I'm going to go there

00:03:29.740 To just damage the religion 0.90

00:03:33.420 I'm just going to make my hijab look bad 1.00

00:03:35.440 Etc

00:03:35.960 I believe she may have went there

00:03:37.660 With the right intentions

00:03:38.460 But the Prophet tells us

00:03:39.720 What is, how do we

00:03:40.900 When we do our actions

00:03:41.640 How does it work?

00:03:42.240 The intentions have to be there

00:03:43.600 And he has to be according to the sunnah

00:03:45.960 The Quran and sunnah

00:03:47.060 Those are the two things

00:03:48.020 She had the intentions which I believe

00:03:49.560 Maybe the way she went about it

00:03:51.500 However, it doesn't give you a right to slander her

00:03:53.520 Now that we've covered that

00:03:54.560 Okay

00:03:54.900 Now I just want to send a kind message to Sister Noor

00:03:57.820 If she can watch this

00:03:58.540 I'll be really grateful

00:03:59.540 And inshallah

00:04:00.280 I need your help to share that inshallah

00:04:01.620 Now Sister Noor

00:04:02.600 Like I said before

00:04:03.480 I don't doubt your intentions

00:04:04.540 The fact that you wanted to go there

00:04:06.940 And show them maybe about modesty

00:04:08.740 Etc

00:04:09.500 But one thing we need to understand

00:04:11.020 Sister Noor is the objective of Islam 1.00

00:04:13.440 And the objective of Playboy

00:04:14.940 The objective of the hijab 1.00

00:04:17.640 And the objective of Playboy models 0.79

00:04:20.380 What are their objectives?

00:04:22.180 Playboy makes money by objectifying women

00:04:25.540 Nude pictures

00:04:27.440 Yeah

00:04:27.800 They are objectifying women 1.00

00:04:29.380 And this is one of the biggest problems out there

00:04:31.180 The fact that we have men today

00:04:32.880 Looking at women as a piece of meat 1.00

00:04:35.760 Now their objective is to objectify women 1.00

00:04:38.760 And make money out there

00:04:39.660 And in today's society

00:04:40.840 We can see that

00:04:41.980 How men treat women

00:04:43.500 And even a certain study showed

00:04:45.200 That when they see a naked

00:04:46.840 Like a woman in a bikini 1.00

00:04:48.040 The part of the brain which is used for tools

00:04:50.640 You know tools that you use

00:04:51.640 Is lightened up

00:04:52.740 This is the reason of pornography 0.73

00:04:55.000 And nude pictures 0.57

00:04:55.840 The fact that you're going to this magazine

00:04:57.720 Sister

00:04:58.180 What you need to understand

00:04:59.680 Is that they are known for that

00:05:01.360 Even though people say

00:05:02.520 Okay they've left the Playboy nude thing behind

00:05:04.580 To be honest I did a bit of research

00:05:05.940 Unfortunately

00:05:06.480 And saw things that I have to wash my eyes with

00:05:09.020 You know

00:05:09.320 They are still doing that

00:05:11.200 You know

00:05:11.580 And the fact that

00:05:12.760 You observe the hijab

00:05:15.340 Which is a sign of modesty sister

00:05:16.820 And to go somewhere

00:05:17.900 Which is absolutely the opposite of that

00:05:20.940 Shows a negative image

00:05:22.760 Not only for yourself sister

00:05:24.900 But also the crucial thing here

00:05:26.720 Why I've done this video

00:05:27.580 Is for the thousands of followers of sisters

00:05:29.740 That watch you

00:05:30.340 And may think this is okay

00:05:31.760 And this is normal

00:05:32.500 And it really isn't sister

00:05:34.040 So it's just a sincere advice to you

00:05:37.060 And I'm sure you did not do it intentionally

00:05:39.700 To harm the image of the hijab or Islam

00:05:42.760 But it's just a little nasir for you

00:05:44.140 However one other person

00:05:45.640 That I want to advise or individuals

00:05:47.180 Are those who are supporting

00:05:49.100 And condoning and saying

00:05:50.480 Yeah there's nothing wrong

00:05:51.420 Empowering

00:05:52.360 You did a great job

00:05:53.460 One of those was Shohaib Webb

00:05:55.020 Brother Shohaib Webb

00:05:56.180 Now brother Shohaib Webb

00:05:57.600 Is someone that I totally disagree with

00:05:59.060 In a lot of matters

00:06:00.080 Now he himself said

00:06:01.480 That he had no issue

00:06:02.500 With you doing this

00:06:04.500 And it was some kind of empowerment

00:06:06.120 Etc

00:06:06.640 No disrespect to Brother Shohaib Webb

00:06:08.460 Of what I'm about to say

00:06:09.440 What if somebody came and said

00:06:10.680 Why don't you send your sister 0.98

00:06:12.320 Your daughter

00:06:13.400 Or your wife

00:06:14.760 To Playboy

00:06:15.800 And let them

00:06:16.720 If you feel

00:06:17.240 It's a matter

00:06:18.460 Of honouring

00:06:19.640 Then why don't you honour

00:06:20.780 Your sister

00:06:21.480 Your wife

00:06:22.280 Or your daughter

00:06:23.080 By sending them to Playboy magazine

00:06:24.240 And you know very well

00:06:25.340 You wouldn't

00:06:25.820 So why would you

00:06:26.680 Encourage somebody else

00:06:28.560 For I don't know what reason

00:06:29.940 To say

00:06:30.500 Oh it's

00:06:31.240 It's okay

00:06:32.200 And one thing that I forgot to mention

00:06:33.600 As well to Sister Noor

00:06:34.600 Is that

00:06:35.620 The matter of using

00:06:37.480 The word honour

00:06:38.660 Saying that you are honoured

00:06:40.180 To be featured

00:06:41.040 In Playboy magazine

00:06:42.420 Sister the word honour

00:06:43.540 Is a really heavy thing

00:06:44.900 You know

00:06:45.160 You know

00:06:45.600 To use the word

00:06:47.940 Or the phrase

00:06:48.480 Honour

00:06:49.240 Like imagine me going

00:06:50.700 I don't know for example

00:06:51.800 A page that's known for

00:06:53.260 Murder

00:06:54.280 Or killing people 0.99

00:06:55.000 I don't know 0.99

00:06:55.400 Whatever yeah

00:06:55.840 And I go and say

00:06:56.340 You know

00:06:56.500 I feel honoured

00:06:57.060 I feel honoured

00:06:57.860 That they have invited me

00:06:58.900 So I think

00:06:59.820 We should just be careful a bit

00:07:01.240 For the words that we use

00:07:02.420 And a lot of people say

00:07:03.260 For example

00:07:03.720 Like I said before

00:07:04.320 Playboy has left that lifestyle

00:07:05.760 Behind

00:07:06.600 They've changed it

00:07:07.540 But what are they known for

00:07:08.820 And not only that

00:07:09.600 They haven't changed

00:07:10.260 I've done a bit of research

00:07:11.540 They still have the same content

00:07:13.000 Now

00:07:13.600 I don't even know

00:07:14.180 What they class as nude

00:07:15.160 You know

00:07:15.700 What was it

00:07:16.140 Before topless girls 1.00

00:07:16.960 And now they don't wear topless

00:07:18.000 They're not topless

00:07:18.940 But they wear bikinis 1.00

00:07:19.900 You don't class that as nude

00:07:21.040 That is still nude

00:07:22.580 And another thing is

00:07:23.600 They say

00:07:24.000 Oh

00:07:24.500 It's empowering women

00:07:25.740 Breaking barriers

00:07:26.920 Now guys

00:07:27.980 Seriously

00:07:28.580 Does this mean

00:07:29.520 I'm going to wear a thaw

00:07:30.960 Or a long beard

00:07:32.040 Or have a maswaag in my hand

00:07:34.280 You know

00:07:34.760 And go into a night club

00:07:36.820 And say

00:07:37.280 I'm empowering Islam

00:07:38.200 We are okay with it

00:07:39.420 It's fine

00:07:40.020 I'm not breaking barriers

00:07:42.040 I'm breaking the commandments

00:07:43.280 Of Allah and His Messenger

00:07:44.260 And there is two extremes

00:07:45.700 We have

00:07:46.120 One certain people

00:07:47.380 Who say

00:07:47.820 They curse

00:07:49.060 Day and night

00:07:50.380 Like everything

00:07:51.320 Like when they see a person

00:07:52.460 Committing a sin

00:07:53.340 Or doing something wrong

00:07:54.220 They start cursing them

00:07:55.540 Etc

00:07:56.080 Then we have the other extreme

00:07:57.840 Which they're like

00:07:58.580 It's okay

00:07:59.080 It's fine

00:07:59.740 Wear hijab 0.99

00:08:00.540 Wear bikini

00:08:01.180 No problem

00:08:01.860 This is a contradiction

00:08:03.560 Empowering women

00:08:04.800 Empowering

00:08:05.400 This is empowerment

00:08:05.840 This is not

00:08:07.480 This is not

00:08:07.500 Breaking barriers

00:08:08.520 You know

00:08:09.140 The only thing

00:08:09.740 That we're breaking here

00:08:10.460 Is the commandments

00:08:11.040 Of Allah and His Messenger

00:08:11.900 This is what we're doing

00:08:12.680 You know

00:08:13.200 And this is what

00:08:13.920 We need to understand

00:08:14.700 And we need to

00:08:15.640 Really

00:08:16.280 Why don't we have goals

00:08:17.740 Of trying to fit into

00:08:19.100 Islam

00:08:20.000 Rather than fitting into society

00:08:21.680 Why can't we be proud

00:08:22.960 Of our religion

00:08:23.500 Why can't we go out there

00:08:24.580 And say

00:08:24.720 This hijab 1.00

00:08:25.320 And the way I'm dressed

00:08:26.400 In the correct form of hijab 0.98

00:08:27.620 Is from my religion

00:08:28.720 And I'm happy

00:08:29.320 I'm proud of it

00:08:30.360 Why are we so afraid

00:08:32.140 What boundaries

00:08:33.180 Are we going to stop at

00:08:34.060 To prove to people

00:08:34.980 That we're fitting into society

00:08:35.860 What are we going to do

00:08:36.520 Are we going to go and say

00:08:37.580 You know what

00:08:37.940 Hey

00:08:38.340 I commit dinner as well

00:08:39.900 Hey

00:08:40.300 I do this as well

00:08:40.980 I drink alcohol

00:08:41.620 But I'm a Muslim

00:08:42.280 Why do we have to fit into society

00:08:44.540 Why can't we say

00:08:45.440 You know what

00:08:45.820 I'm a Muslim

00:08:46.420 And I like having fun

00:08:47.280 Maybe not the same fun

00:08:48.560 As you do on the weekends

00:08:49.360 But maybe I like doing

00:08:50.560 Different things

00:08:51.120 But I go out

00:08:51.900 I have family

00:08:52.520 I like going holidays

00:08:53.600 Why can't it be that

00:08:54.860 Why do we have to go to extremes

00:08:56.080 And showing

00:08:56.620 That we're fitting into society

00:08:57.880 With absolute things

00:08:59.060 That are haram

00:08:59.580 And another thing

00:09:00.720 Like I said before

00:09:01.340 Like non-Muslim 1.00

00:09:02.040 Non-Muslims are proud 1.00

00:09:03.080 Of what they do

00:09:03.800 You do not ever see

00:09:05.300 Any of them trying to fit in anywhere

00:09:06.480 They are proud of

00:09:07.300 Whatever they do

00:09:07.940 And it's their life

00:09:08.620 We have no issue with that

00:09:09.580 For example

00:09:10.180 That's their life

00:09:10.700 I can't go and enforce

00:09:11.400 My beliefs on them

00:09:12.240 And I have a lot of

00:09:12.920 Non-Muslim friends

00:09:13.500 They are proud

00:09:14.720 In what they're doing

00:09:15.380 They are okay

00:09:16.500 Why can't we be the same

00:09:18.160 Why can't we say

00:09:19.360 You know

00:09:19.540 I'm proud to be a Muslim

00:09:20.260 It's my lifestyle

00:09:20.920 I'm happy with it

00:09:21.600 And another thing is

00:09:22.740 Is that

00:09:23.380 Sisters

00:09:23.820 We need to understand

00:09:24.800 That the hijab 1.00

00:09:26.300 Is an important part

00:09:27.720 Of our religion

00:09:28.180 Modesty

00:09:28.980 Not only for females

00:09:30.140 But males as well

00:09:30.920 As a man

00:09:31.660 I have to cover

00:09:32.260 From my navel to my knee

00:09:33.320 That's what my religion

00:09:34.220 Tells me to do

00:09:34.940 I have to be modest

00:09:36.000 I should

00:09:36.620 When I see a sister

00:09:38.080 Or a female walking past 0.68

00:09:38.860 I have to lower my gaze

00:09:39.840 This goes for male 0.98

00:09:40.780 And females 0.98

00:09:41.420 And a evidence to that

00:09:43.200 That we're not biased

00:09:44.080 Because a lot of people say

00:09:44.660 Oh you guys always

00:09:45.500 Attack sisters 0.99

00:09:46.260 Me and Musa

00:09:47.040 Did a video called

00:09:47.660 Men's Hijab Tutorial

00:09:48.640 Where we tell men

00:09:49.800 How to dress up

00:09:50.640 And I advise

00:09:51.480 It's always on my Instagram

00:09:52.500 On my Snapchat

00:09:53.000 I'm not biased

00:09:54.400 I advise both

00:09:55.740 But sisters 0.57

00:09:56.580 We need to understand

00:09:57.300 Look I'm just going to

00:09:57.780 Finish off with this

00:09:58.400 That Hijab 1.00

00:09:59.780 Is not just a scarf

00:10:00.960 Over the head

00:10:01.500 If you come and say to me

00:10:02.780 This is my struggle

00:10:04.260 I'm going through a struggle

00:10:05.080 I know it's not the correct form of Hijab 1.00

00:10:06.880 I have so much respect for you

00:10:08.720 And may Allah bless you

00:10:10.020 And make it easy for you

00:10:11.060 To complete your journey

00:10:11.860 But if you go out there

00:10:13.180 And say this is Hijab 0.97

00:10:13.900 I wear leggings

00:10:14.640 I wear mini skirts

00:10:15.840 Or I wear skirts

00:10:16.720 And I wear this and that

00:10:17.720 And I just have a scarf

00:10:18.500 But this is Hijab 1.00

00:10:19.060 That is misinforming people

00:10:21.000 And you have so many youth out there

00:10:22.220 That's going to think

00:10:22.580 Hey that's okay

00:10:23.180 It's not okay

00:10:24.200 So we don't want to lose

00:10:25.260 The real definition

00:10:26.500 Of what Hijab really is 1.00

00:10:28.120 So guys

00:10:28.800 Please send this to Sister Noor

00:10:30.580 Please I urge you

00:10:31.680 Every single one of you

00:10:32.400 If you guys send it to her

00:10:33.160 Inshallah it will reach her

00:10:34.000 And Sister Noor 0.97

00:10:34.860 Hope you have benefited

00:10:35.800 And haven't taken my advice

00:10:37.980 As hate

00:10:38.800 It's genuinely because

00:10:39.720 I care about you

00:10:40.600 And like I said before

00:10:42.420 Hope you guys have benefited

00:10:43.580 From this Inshallah

00:10:44.280 Please share it

00:10:45.480 And let's be proud of our religion

00:10:47.000 And our Islam

00:10:47.960 And our Messenger

00:10:48.660 So Inshallah guys

00:10:49.840 Till next time

00:10:50.700 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

00:10:52.380 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
