02:01:23.000Since the war in Iran started, and it's been about one week since the fighting has resumed.
02:01:31.000Although it's been five months since the war began, you know that for the most part, we've been observing something like an informal truce since April.
02:01:41.000So, from roughly the first or second week of April until about a week ago, it's not that there hadn't been any fighting, but for the most part, the fighting was extremely restrained and infrequent and limited.
02:01:55.000But in the past week, it seems like the war has started up all over again.
02:01:59.000And this involves the United States heavily bombing Iran, mostly on their southwestern coast and on the islands in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.
02:02:08.000And Iran has been retaliating against the Gulf countries, but for the most part, hitting Kuwait and Bahrain in the Gulf, as well as U.S. military positions in Jordan and northern Iraq.
02:02:20.000We'll talk about why Iran is choosing the targets the way they are.
02:02:41.000The first pertains to the conflict as it stands right now.
02:02:45.000In the past week, there's been three new U.S. casualties.
02:02:49.000Two were killed by Iranian missiles in Jordan, and allegedly a third was killed when the United States attempted a controlled demolition of an Iranian drone.
02:02:59.000And the United States retaliated against Iran for the casualties.
02:03:04.000The second big development concerns what happened today, which is that the Houthi rebels, the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen, has announced they're closing the Bab el Mandeb Strait.
02:03:16.000So, if you're looking at a map, this is the portal through which commercial shipping gets from the Red Sea or the Eastern Mediterranean out into the Arabian Sea and into the Indian Ocean.
02:03:29.000So, the Houthis, just like Iran, are now going to use rockets and potentially missiles or drones to close all the shipping that comes out of the Red Sea through the Ba'a al Mandeb Strait, which is going to increase the pressure on commercial shipping and energy in the world, specifically Saudi Arabia, which has been moving their oil.
02:03:48.000That cannot get through the Strait of Hormuz through the Red Sea instead.
02:03:53.000And so we'll talk a little bit about that.
02:03:55.000And then the third big development in the war is that Trump has announced that if Iran doesn't make a deal by the end of this week, then there's going to be a major escalation in the fighting.
02:04:07.000And so the administration has warned all of the GCC nations, all of our allies in the Gulf, that they have to be ready for a major escalation if there's no ceasefire.
02:04:19.000Is that they have to harden some of their civilian infrastructure, specifically their desalination plants, airports, hotels, from potential Iranian attacks, because they're going to have to expect a major reprisal.
02:04:34.000The United States and maybe Israel will re enter the conflict.
02:04:39.000The United States is going to escalate bombing against Iran and maybe increase the amount of civilian infrastructure targets in Iran as part of its target bank.
02:04:48.000And that'll all allegedly start next week.

02:20:39.000Ostensibly, if Joe Biden won or if people thought it was plausible that he won in 2020, it's because people believed that we all just had fatigue.

02:20:51.000And then for about a year or two, Trump disappeared after January 6th and then resurfaced when the next cycle started up again at the end of 22 into 23.
02:21:02.000And now I feel like Trump has never been more irrelevant than he is right now, maybe outside of right after January 6th.
02:21:10.000I can't recall a single other time when he has been more irrelevant, when he has been less talked about, less popular, less of a fixture.
02:21:20.000And I think I said it a couple of weeks ago, and this has been my message basically since 2024 is that this is the end of the MAGA movement?

02:26:57.000And this is why you have a DSA mayor of New York City who defeated Cuomo.

02:28:40.000And these people are going to be murdered by the, metaphorically speaking, politically speaking, by the contradictions that they have been forced to embrace and the liability that they have to carry because of their association with Trump.

02:28:56.000I'm telling you, we are headed for some trouble in the next few years.
02:29:12.000So, we'll start with the war in Iran because there is actually a lot to cover here.
02:29:17.000And so, as we talked about all throughout last week, and we'll talk about it tonight, the war in Iran has resumed.
02:29:25.000The war started February 28th, which means that next week it will have been five full months since the start of the war.
02:29:34.000If you remember, when the war started, they told us four days.
02:29:38.000The war started on a Friday at midnight, and Trump came out at Mar a Lago, and it was reported in the New York Times that the war would last four days.
02:29:49.000And maybe at the most, they said a few months.
02:30:15.000We're entering month number six, and there's no end in sight.
02:30:21.000Not only that, but the war has actually come back.
02:30:24.000For most of those five months, we've technically been under an informal ceasefire.
02:30:29.000Started in the second week of April, formally ended last week.
02:30:33.000And so now we are once again entering yet another phase of hostilities.
02:30:38.000As you know, the memorandum of understanding, that peace agreement agreed upon in June, has totally collapsed.
02:30:45.000Now the United States and Iran have both officially withdrawn from the agreement.
02:30:49.000And now we are in an open state of hostilities.
02:30:53.000The United States has been bombing Iran for 10 days straight, and Iran has been retaliating against Jordan and the Gulf countries for just as many days.
02:31:03.000Our big story tonight is about a few specific developments that have happened this weekend.
02:31:08.000In particular, there are now three more dead U.S. service members in the Middle East, two of them killed by Iran.
02:31:16.000One of them, it's believed, died in an accident related to the destruction of a drone.
02:31:22.000The other major development is that the Houthi rebels have closed the Bab el Mandeb in the Red Sea.
02:31:28.000And lastly, that the United States is preparing for a major escalation next week.
02:31:35.000I want to read through all of it, and then we'll talk about just in general where we are in the conflict.
02:31:40.000The first story is about the casualties, which is not.
02:31:43.000Terribly interesting from the point of view of analyzing the strategy.
02:31:48.000Obviously, a tragedy and totally unnecessary, but doesn't really pertain to the broader strokes of what's happening between the decision makers in Iran and the United States.
02:32:00.000It says An Iranian ballistic missile attack on a Jordanian air base killed two service members.
02:32:06.000The attack was one of three separate missile strikes on the base in 24 hours last week, which killed two soldiers from Army Air and Missile Defense Units.
02:32:15.000The remains of a third person have been found at the location and are being examined.
02:32:20.000President Trump on Monday threatened U.S. retaliation for the strikes.
02:32:24.000Shortly afterward, the U.S. military said it launched a new round of strikes intended to further degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
02:32:33.000Iran has adapted to U.S. defenses, firing missiles that travel at extremely high speeds and can maneuver as they streak toward the earth.
02:32:40.000Iran's deadly strike was one of a series of attacks Iran has directed in recent days at bases in Jordan that are being used by U.S. personnel.
02:32:49.000It followed the Trump administration's push to broaden the array of targets in Iran, including bridges and other infrastructure, as diplomatic negotiations to end the conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz hit an impasse.
02:33:01.000So, there's a couple of things to understand about this attack in particular.
02:33:07.000Let's talk about how the war is being conducted.
02:33:26.000But basically, under the MOU, it said that the strait will open under the management of Iran.
02:33:33.000Iran said the only way we will allow commercial ships to transit the strait is if they get permission from our military first.
02:33:42.000Well, Oman, which is the other country that borders the Strait of Hormuz, they opened up a route of passage of their own in conjunction with the United States that commercial ships could use without letting Iran know in advance.
02:33:57.000So, in other words, as of a couple of weeks ago, you had two lanes, two shipping lanes in the strait, which is extremely narrow.
02:34:06.000You had one route on Iran's coast that commercial ships would need to get Iran's permission to use.
02:34:12.000And then the United States and Oman opened up a second route along Oman's coast, which commercial ships did not need to get Iran's permission to use.
02:34:22.000And so, what this enabled the United States to do is to open up the strait at their own pace.
02:34:29.000Whereas Iran was slow walking the opening of the strait, and they said that they would gradually and incrementally over time allow commercial shipping volume to return to its pre war levels.
02:34:42.000The United States and Oman said, We're just going to bypass that.
02:34:46.000We're going to bypass the IRGC and all of this procedural stuff you're using to drag your feet.
02:34:52.000We're going to open the strait wide open on our own.
02:35:38.000So for 10 days, the United States has been pounding Iran's islands in the Strait of Hormuz and their positions on the southwest coast from which they're launching drones and missiles.
02:35:48.000And the purpose of this is to degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping.
02:35:57.000Because when you look at a map of where the United States is carrying out the attacks, we're not attacking into the interior of the country.
02:36:05.000Where the population centers are, where the regime targets are, where the industrial centers are.
02:36:10.000We're attacking all along the southwestern coast and the islands where the drone and missile launch sites are.
02:36:17.000And the purpose of that, again, is to degrade and suppress Iran's ability to shut down the shipping in the strait with one way attack drones and ballistic missiles.
02:36:31.000We talked last week about how Iran is launching missiles at the U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
02:36:39.000The U.S. Navy's fifth fleet is headquartered in Bahrain, and so Iran is hitting that.
02:36:44.000They're also hitting important U.S. bases in Kuwait as well.
02:36:47.000They're hitting these countries in particular because these are the weakest of the Gulf countries.
02:36:52.000They don't want to hit Qatar, they don't want to hit the Emirates, they don't want to hit Saudi Arabia because these countries are far more influential and rich and have bigger militaries.
02:37:02.000So they're singling out Kuwait and Bahrain, not just because they have U.S. facilities, but also because arguably they're weaker and have less of an ability to retaliate.
02:37:12.000But this attack in Jordan signals a couple of things in particular about how the war is being fought.
02:37:18.000Number one, and this should be obvious if service members have been killed, what does that mean?
02:37:28.000It means that Iran's missiles and drones are not being intercepted.
02:37:34.000If service members have died, it means that there has been an impact.
02:37:38.000And if there's an impact, then that means that Iran's drones and missiles have not all been intercepted.
02:37:44.000And that tells us one of two things either Iran has figured out a way to bypass Through tactics or technology, our missile interceptor systems, or we're running out, or we're spread too thin.
02:37:57.000Because consider, in order for Iran to not be able to do catastrophic damage to civilian and military targets in all these countries, then that means we have to be defending about a half dozen countries spread across the entire region.
02:38:15.000We have to defend targets in Israel, in Jordan, in northern Iraq.
02:38:19.000In Saudi Arabia, in Kuwait, in Bahrain, in Qatar, in the UAE, potentially even in Oman as well, increasingly.
02:38:29.000We are spread out all over the region, protecting military targets, civilian targets, protecting giant swaths of territory.
02:38:37.000And so, either, like the Wall Street Journal reported, Iran has figured out a new way to get missiles to change their trajectory in the terminal phase of the launch, meaning once the missile's actually striking the target.
02:38:50.000It can change its trajectory and evade U.S. defenses, or the United States is having to economize on interceptors because we just don't have enough to defend every target.
02:39:05.000Service members are dead because Iran's missiles broke through.
02:39:10.000And this is something that we're worried about as the war drags on, by the way, both of these things are happening.
02:39:17.000At once, Iran is becoming more sophisticated offensively and defensively, their anti air systems.
02:39:25.000Defensively over their territory and their missile systems, which they use offensively on our territory, they're adapting both of those to suit their needs.
02:39:35.000And simultaneously, we're running out of equipment, we're running out of materiel.
02:39:40.000We only have so many anti missile systems, so many interceptors.
02:39:46.000And this isn't even the only theater where we have to deploy these systems.
02:39:50.000We also have them in Taiwan, we also have them in South Korea, we also have them in Europe.
02:39:57.000And like I talked about, this is why you realize, even not just from an economic point of view, but also from a military point of view, time is not on our side.
02:40:09.000So, we talk a lot about how Iran's closure of the Strait has created a countdown timer for when our strategic petroleum reserve runs out and then it has catastrophic effects for our economy.
02:40:22.000But it's also militarily, it's not just that Iran can beat us on time economically because.
02:40:30.000Their blockade over us is more impactful than our blockade over them.
02:40:34.000But the same is also true of military production and acquisition.
02:40:39.000Iran can make drones and missiles faster and more abundantly and more cheaply than we can make interceptors, all of the above.
02:40:49.000Their missiles and drones are cheaper than our interceptors.
02:40:52.000They make them faster than we make the interceptors, they make more of them than we make of the interceptors.
02:40:59.000And so, strictly speaking, that's also an economic problem.
02:41:02.000But it's an economic problem specifically related to military acquisition and supply chain.
02:41:26.000This is all of the eyes and ears that the United States needs to be able to detect incoming Iranian projectiles.
02:41:35.000Iran's biggest deterrent right now is its missile and drone arsenal.
02:41:42.000And like we talked about, it's sort of an economic issue, it's an issue of attrition.
02:41:46.000And the way that the United States is able to neutralize this deterrent capability is that we have very advanced and exquisite radar systems.
02:41:57.000We are able to detect all of Iran's drone and missile launches.
02:42:02.000We're able to see where they're coming from.
02:42:04.000We're able to see them as they hurtle towards Iraq or Jordan or the Gulf countries or Israel.
02:42:10.000And so, that Iran is attacking Jordan and northern Iraq, they're attacking radar systems.
02:42:47.000Why are they pounding radar in northern Iraq?
02:42:51.000Because if a missile is launched from Iran, it will pass over Iraq and Jordan to get to Israel.
02:43:01.000If Iran launches a barrage of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones at Israel, they will all necessarily fly over Iraq and Jordan before they can impact in Israel.
02:43:14.000So, why is Iran pounding U.S. bases in Jordan, specifically radar?
02:43:20.000Why are they pounding U.S. positions in northern Iraq?
02:43:24.000Because they are preparing for a resumption of hostilities with Israel.
02:43:34.000Israel is getting ready to get back in the fight.
02:43:37.000And in a word, I said this last week what we are talking about is a widening of the conflict.
02:43:44.000It's not only escalating vertically, meaning that we're going to be attacking qualitatively more important targets or quantitatively doing more bombing or something like that, doing more.
02:43:58.000Against greater, more strategically important targets, but it's also widening horizontally.
02:44:03.000It's going to draw in more countries, more theaters.
02:44:34.000And if you pay very close attention, you can see everywhere on the map, there are preparations being made for a widening and an escalation.
02:44:45.000And that brings me to the second big thing that happened this week, which is that the Houthi rebels formally declared today that they are closing the Bab al Mandeb Strait.
02:44:58.000It says The Houthis, the Iranian backed armed faction in Yemen, on Monday said they would impose a blockade on Saudi ships.
02:45:06.000Iran's chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz has reduced global fuel supplies, pushing prices upward.
02:45:12.000But Saudi Arabia, a U.S. ally, has been able to reroute some of its exports through the Red Sea.
02:45:19.000If the Houthis follow through on their statement that they will not allow Saudi vessels to pass through the Bab el Mandab Strait, the southern portal to the Red Sea, it will worsen the global fuel crisis.
02:45:30.000Yahya Sari, a Houthi military spokesman, said in a televised address on Monday that the move came in response to what he called a continued Saudi siege on Yemen.
02:45:40.000The Trump administration has been noncommittal about new negotiations.
02:45:44.000Secretary of State Rubio told reporters on Sunday that if that door opens, we'll be happy to see it open, but that Iran's behavior has to change for ours to change.
02:45:54.000U.S. officials also said on Sunday that more warplanes were being sent to the Middle East, and a sign that the U.S. military may be preparing to ramp up its attacks on Iran.
02:46:05.000So we did talk about this last week, and I told you this is where this was headed.
02:46:10.000So if you look at a map of the Middle East, and we talked about this last week, so I'll be brief tonight.
02:46:17.000The reason this is such a catastrophic conflict is because all of the major oil exporters and petroleum exporters in the Middle East, they all get their oil from the Persian Gulf itself.
02:46:30.000Kuwait, Iran, Bahrain, the Emirates, the Saudis, the Qataris, all their oil is in the Gulf, it's in the water, or it's on the coastal land that borders the water.
02:46:44.000So they built up all their oil infrastructure near and around the Persian Gulf.
02:46:48.000And that's where they extract it, that's where they refine it, and that's where they ship it out.
02:46:53.000So if Iran shuts down the Strait of Hormuz, then all the oil is stuck there.
02:46:58.000And it's not as simple as, well, just put the oil somewhere else.
02:47:03.000They've invested hundreds of billions of dollars in infrastructure, trillions of dollars maybe in infrastructure, to build all of this up so that the oil can be the most economically extracted, processed, and exported.
02:47:41.000And they built it across the East West length of Saudi Arabia, or width, I should say, of Saudi Arabia.
02:47:49.000And so, basically, all the oil that they harvest from the Persian Gulf.
02:47:53.000Is connected via pipeline from the Gulf on Saudi's east coast to the Red Sea on Saudi Arabia's west coast.
02:48:02.000And so ever since the war started, they've been operating this pipeline nearly at capacity, shipping as much oil through the pipeline as possible.
02:48:10.000And this has alleviated some of the energy crunch.
02:48:14.000Not all of Saudi Arabia's oil is getting through the pipeline through the Red Sea, but some of it is.
02:48:21.000And so it's not like all of the energy in the Gulf is stuck behind the Strait of Hormuz.
02:48:26.000Well, in order for that oil then to get to the market, all of Saudi Arabia's biggest customers are in Asia.
02:48:34.000In order for the oil from the pipeline to get to the market, it goes through the pipeline to the Red Sea, and then it has to exit the Bab el Mandeb Strait, which is bordered by Yemen, specifically Yemen's northwest coast, which is controlled by the Houthi rebels, to get to the Indian Ocean, to then eventually get to India, China, the Philippines, and the other countries that rely on Saudi oil.
02:48:57.000So, if the Houthi rebels close the Bab al Mandeb, now all of Saudi Arabia's oil is stuck.
02:49:04.000It's stuck in the Persian Gulf and it's stuck on the wrong side of the Red Sea.
02:49:09.000But not only that, if the Houthi rebels shut down shipping in the Bab al Mandeb, probably all shipping, all commercial shipping, not even just energy, but all commercial shipping that goes through the Red Sea, it's either going to try to make that journey and become more expensive because the insurance will go up, but maybe more likely than not, as was the case a couple of years ago when the Houthi rebels shut down shipping in the Red Sea.
02:49:36.000All commercial shipping will reroute around the Cape of Good Hope, the southern coast of Africa, which will not only prevent Saudi Arabia's oil from getting through the Baba Mandeb, but it'll prevent basically all European, Asian commercial shipping from going through the Red Sea.
02:49:55.000Which the necessary conclusion is this puts upward pressure not just on energy costs and oil prices, but on all shipping costs, which puts upward pressure on everything.
02:50:09.000A maritime vessel, everything that moves on the ocean that would move through the Red Sea, it's going to get more expensive because the journey is going to get longer and therefore more expensive.
02:50:20.000So, this is the way in which the war is widening.
02:50:23.000Now, last week, I said this would happen because last week there was an Iranian military plane that attempted to land in the Houthi controlled capital of Yemen, Sana'a.
02:50:35.000The Saudis anticipated why are Iranians trying to land in Yemen?
02:50:40.000They're trying to establish an air bridge.
02:50:44.000And an air bridge would entail Iran delivering rockets, drones, missiles, potentially personnel to Yemen to coordinate the eventual closure of Bab al Mandeb.
02:51:00.000They close the strait, and then they're going to send their advisors and their equipment to the Houthis so that they're capable of shutting down the other choke point.
02:51:29.000Now, today, they have officially announced the closure of Baba Mandeb.
02:51:34.000And so, like I said, now you see the war is truly widening.
02:51:37.000Now you've got the United States attacking Iran.
02:51:41.000Iran is attacking shipping in the Strait.
02:51:43.000They're attacking the Emirates, Qatar, mostly Bahrain and Kuwait.
02:51:47.000They're attacking Iraqi Kurdistan, they're attacking the Jordanians.
02:51:52.000This is in anticipation of a front opening up once again with Israel over Iraq.
02:51:58.000But you also have the Saudis bombing the Houthis because the Iranians are supplying them with supplies to shut down the Baba Mandeb.
02:52:06.000And so now you might see fighting between the United States and the Saudis against the Houthis, backing some of their proxy ground forces from the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen's south and east.
02:52:22.000All of this is pointing towards potentially a major escalation.
02:52:26.000We're not talking about a resumption of hostilities and picking up the pace from where the war was before the ceasefire in April.
02:52:35.000We're talking about a fully regional conflict, which is actually worse than the original war.
02:52:43.000The United States is attacking more important targets in Iran.
02:52:47.000The fighting between Israel and Iran is more intense.
02:53:00.000And 100,000 members of their security service are loyal to Iran.
02:53:05.000And the United States and Israel are using Iraqi Kurdistan as a base to launch intelligence, ground operations against Iran, air operations.
02:53:14.000So you might see Iraq begin to destabilize and become a separate front.
02:53:20.000And you also might see the Arabian Peninsula become yet another front.
02:53:23.000The Saudis and the Houthis were at war for many years, only up until about four years ago.
02:54:16.000And we also might even have to watch our back in Iraq, where that situation could unravel very quickly if Iran is interested in some kind of ground operation in Kuwait or something like that.
02:54:30.000And so, everywhere you look, whether it's Iran's attacks on Jordan and northern Iraq, that signals Israel is reentering the fight.
02:54:38.000The Saudis bombing Sana'a because Iran established an air bridge, that signals an escalation in Yemen.
02:54:45.000And then you add to that that the United States is deploying more F 16s and F 35s into the region, as well as refueling aircraft.
02:54:53.000All of it signals that every major player anticipates this is going to get hotter.
02:54:59.000Iran knows the front is opening with Israel and Yemen.
02:55:02.000Israel knows they're reentering the fight.
02:55:06.000That's why we're moving more assets there.
02:55:09.000And the last major development is that the United States has given a warning to all of our allies in the Gulf, the GCC countries, that they have to begin preparing for a major escalation by next week.
02:55:22.000The United States put out a message to them to get ready because we say that if Iran doesn't make a deal, the next week there's going to be a major escalation in the war.
02:55:32.000It's going to be another regional conflict.
02:55:34.000And what that basically means, what would an escalation look like?
02:55:39.000Well, so far, the United States has been slowly beginning to attack civilian infrastructure in Iran.
02:55:47.000We have been bombing some of their bridges and power plants and nuclear plants in southwestern Iran, as Trump threatened that we would do.
02:55:57.000And if we carry on in this way, and I imagine that's what the escalation would be, then almost certainly Iran is going to retaliate against the Gulf.
02:56:06.000Countries by bombing their civilian infrastructure.
02:56:10.000If we start hitting their oil sector, if we start bombing their transportation infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, then that means we are moving to destabilize the regime.
02:56:21.000We're going to destroy their only source of revenue.
02:56:24.000We're going to destroy transportation and electricity, which leads to civil unrest.
02:56:30.000It suppresses their ability to mobilize their military to defend their borders, but also to suppress domestic unrest.
02:56:37.000And almost certainly, Iran would have to retaliate by doing the same to the Saudis, the Emiratis, the Qataris.
02:56:44.000And so, what are the Iranians going to hit?
02:56:47.000They're going to hit the civilian international airports.
02:56:51.000They're going to hit the desalination plants.
02:56:53.000They're going to hit the oil fields in Saudi's East Province.
02:56:58.000They're going to hit the Qatari LNG refineries.
02:57:02.000And what this is going to do is irreversibly, not irreversibly, but almost permanently, semi permanently, take a significant chunk of energy out of the market for the next five years.
02:58:00.000It's a very acute problem for a country like the UAE, which has major population centers and major cities, and they don't have access to fresh water.
02:58:12.000If they don't have desalination, then they don't have clean drinking water.
02:58:16.000If they don't have clean drinking water, which they removed the salt from, from the Persian Gulf, then I believe they have one to two months.
02:58:24.000Worth of fresh water to supply their population with.
03:00:43.000Even if we destroyed all their oil infrastructure, I'm not sure that would produce compliance or regime change.
03:00:49.000And I'm also not even sure what the point would be after that.
03:00:53.000If we destroy their oil industry and they destroy the Gulf oil infrastructure, what even then is the point of opening up the strait?
03:01:02.000I guess it becomes a lot less important.
03:01:06.000So it's hard to see what exactly we could do to them that we haven't already done or that wouldn't invite some kind of retaliation that makes it a Pyrrhic victory anyway.
03:01:17.000In the middle of all these strikes, we've hit them every day for 10 days.
03:01:21.000Today alone, they hit four ships trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz.
03:01:26.000So consider in the opening phase of the war, we hit them really hard, bombed them 15,000 to 20,000 times, and they were still able to close the Strait.
03:01:36.000We resumed the war, we've bombed them every day for 10 days.
03:01:39.000They hit four ships in the Strait today alone.
03:01:43.000So they are still effectively able to close the Strait.
03:01:47.000No matter what we do to them, whether we hit them really hard, if we hit them every day, if we hit them a little bit, they're still able to close the strait.
03:01:55.000And killing all their leadership didn't force the regime to collapse.
03:02:00.000Destroying their navy, bombing all these other targets didn't prevent their military from closing the strait either, or shooting down American planes, or even to launch successful ballistic missile strikes on faraway bases in Jordan.
03:02:16.000On the flip side, how much longer can the United States go without oil?
03:02:21.000If the strait is closed in perpetuity and we are not able to force it open with some kind of military operation or leverage, realistically, how much longer can we go in the broader economy without any of the oil from the Persian Gulf, especially if the Red Sea is closed as well?
03:02:39.000How many more interceptors do we have?
03:02:41.000How many more missile and drone attacks can we absorb?
03:02:46.000From the outside looking in without knowing the exact numbers of all these munitions, it seems like.
03:03:47.000They were supposed to attend this boxing event or something, and they got picked up by the cops.
03:03:52.000They have been thrown in federal prison where they await a hearing next week.
03:03:58.000So they're going to be in prison for a whole week.
03:04:00.000Their lawyer says they're in solitary confinement.
03:04:03.000And this is because the United Kingdom has made a request to extradite them, where they will face a total of 58 charges between the two of them related to sex crimes that they allegedly committed over a decade ago.

03:04:24.000Custody as their lawyers told the court on Monday that they planned to fight extradition to England to face new charges of rape and sex trafficking.
