Prince Hermann of the Kuruski, or Gaius Julius Arminius, was born to the chief of the Germanian tribe, Segimer, in 18 BCE. He was a Roman sympathizer, and both of his sons, Hermann and Flavus, were raised in the Roman Empire under the Roman guardianship. Hermann proved to be equal to the task, and did not take long to excel as a Roman soldier. He earned both Roman citizenship and the rank of the Roman Knights before distinguishing himself in his exploits in the Great Illyrian Revolt. After which he was sent to Germania to aid in finishing the conquest of Germanic tribes. Once in Germania, he was assassinated by Germanic tribal leaders who were frightened of his great power.
