As people who want to express our piety and are moved and motivated by piety, the last thing we would want to do is be disrespectful to our gods. So as a church that believes in our gods, we want to err on the side of being the most pious and respectful, as opposed to run the risk of causing offense by guessing poorly on things like that. Our ultimate goal isn t to make the lore more understandable and easier for us to digest. Our goal is to worship our gods as best as we can in the most genuine and authentic way we can, and those goals are often at odds.
