In this episode, I answer a listener's question about whether or not it's racist for a black person to worship white gods. I explain why I don't think so, and why it's appropriate for other races to worship their own gods.

00:00:00.000 So it's not about exclusion. It's not about exclusion at all. It's about inclusion of our people. And, and I can understand some confusion on this. So, and I'm going to take these questions, assuming that they're genuine.
00:00:15.380 So that said, and certainly in the West, in our culture, we're very used to Christianity and Islam being the biggest religions we're probably familiar with.
00:00:30.520 And those are universal religions. By saying that, they make claims that their God is everyone's God and that there's one right religion to have and everything else is sinful and literally the devil. 0.59
00:00:47.660 So there's one right path to any appropriate religiosity in those faiths. And that's not the case. I don't believe that's the case in the world in general.
00:00:58.020 it's certainly not the belief of Alcetru. We're an ethnic faith, meaning that we're connected to
00:01:03.860 our gods by our very DNA. Our gods are inherent to us as a people, us as a race. And just like
00:01:12.320 our gods are connected to us, the gods of other races are connected to them. And it would be
00:01:17.360 inappropriate for, you know, you use the example of black people to worship white man gods.
00:01:23.580 I think, if anything, that would be racist. It is much more appropriate for a black man to worship 0.99
00:01:33.060 his black gods with pride and with dignity in who he is. And same goes for other races of folks as 0.93
00:01:40.260 well. And so that's where it's coming from.
