They would not see the halls, the longships, the sagas, the cathedrals, the ancient temples. Yet all of this began with a question asked beneath an open sky. What lies beyond that horizon?

00:00:43.040 It was something deeper, a holy restlessness, a refusal to remain small.
00:00:50.120 Our folk have always been a people of becoming.

00:01:06.380 The poet looks at silence and asks what story can be sung into memory.
00:01:11.900 The explorer looked westward into the dying light and asked himself what lies beyond.
00:01:17.740 And so they moved.
00:01:19.000 because stagnation is death to the soul.
00:01:23.580 The gods themselves teach us the same lesson.
00:01:27.380 Odin does not remain comfortable upon his throne.
00:01:30.420 He wanders, sacrifices.
00:01:32.640 He seeks wisdom in strange places
00:01:34.340 and has paid terrible prices for it.
00:01:37.920 He crosses boundaries willingly.
00:01:40.660 He pursues becoming.
00:01:44.780 Even Frey, lord of peace and plenty,
00:01:47.500 is not merely a god of comfort.
00:01:51.120 He is the force of growth itself.
00:01:54.660 The seed does not remain a seed.
00:01:56.980 It breaks open, reaches upward, it transforms.
00:02:01.260 A sacred pattern begins to emerge.
00:02:04.180 Life moves, life reaches, it expands, and so must we.
00:02:09.520 Too many people today live with no horizon.
00:02:13.220 Their world stretches no farther than a glowing screen,
00:02:15.580 A weekly paycheck, the next distraction, the next indulgence
00:02:20.080 They no longer ask what lies beyond
00:02:22.720 They no longer seek mastery, wisdom, strength, or meaning
00:02:27.500 Their world grows smaller, while their comforts grow larger
00:02:31.960 But our path, it calls us to a higher
00:02:35.420 A great man would ask, what lies beyond my weakness?
00:02:40.100 A great woman should ask, what lies beyond my fear?
00:02:44.040 Great families ask what lies beyond mere survival.
00:02:47.800 And a folk, they should ask what lies beyond our comfort.
00:02:52.100 Because horizons are rarely ever just merely a place.
00:02:55.980 It is transformation itself.
00:02:58.480 The old tribes of our folk who stood upon those steps could not possibly imagine
00:03:03.280 the worlds their descendants would build.
00:03:06.700 They would not see the halls, the Hoffs' kingdoms, the longships, the sagas, 0.65
00:03:11.700 The cathedrals of timber and stone 0.95
00:03:14.120 The generations yet unborn
00:03:16.260 Carrying their blood and memory forward
00:03:18.260 Yet all of this began with a question
00:03:21.900 Asked beneath an open sky
00:03:23.520 What lies beyond that horizon?
00:03:26.960 And perhaps that is the real question before us now
00:03:29.460 What horizon stands before you now?
00:03:33.060 What fear keeps you rooted where you are?
00:03:36.000 Has comfort created you a cage?
00:03:39.100 What calling waits just beyond the edge of what you already know?
00:03:44.140 The gods do not shape our folk to live small lives.
00:03:47.600 We are meant to build, to seek, to strive, and to become.
00:03:54.820 So stand, look westward.
00:03:57.940 Look toward the unknown places in your own life and ask that ancient question once more.
00:04:03.600 What lies beyond that horizon?
00:04:05.420 and then have the courage to walk toward it.
